To understand the capture of the U.S. evangelical community by the Global Islamic Movement is to truly be overwhelmed.

For the purposes of this article, UTT is highlighting a few big pieces of the puzzle in our ongoing effort to help American Christians realize the adversaries of Jesus – and, therefore, the adversaries of liberty – are savvy and advancing a massive counterintelligence effort that has many Christian leaders under its control, whether the Christians intend that or not.

Let’s set the table with the following internationally known evangelical leaders/organizations promotion of the Global Jihadi Movement (click links on “here” below):

  1. Nationally known pastor Jack Hibbs advancing the work of a Muslim Brotherhood operative here
  2. Rick Warren’s work with the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s ISNA here
  3. Josh McDowell’s “Sharia Love” efforts here
  4. Matt Chandler’s “outreach” to Hamas/MB groups here
  5. The National Council of Churches supports Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood and works with its leaders here
  6. The World Evangelical Association support for international jihadi information operations here
  7. The National Association of Evangelicals Chairman of the Board, John K. Jenkins, Sr. hosts the leader of the Global Jihadi Movement’s key line of operation – Interfaith Outreach – here

(L to R) Rabbi David Saperstein, Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr, MWL Secretary General Mohammad Al-Issa, Pastor Bob Roberts Jr (Dallas), Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Magid

For a deeper dive, as noted in example 7 above, we will look at the “Christian” media outlet All Arab News.

UTT assesses All Arab News as a hostile information operation acting on behalf of the Global Jihadi Movement, and likely its communist partners.

What evidence exists that All Arab News works with jihadis?

The leading advisor on the Advisory Board for All Arab News is Mohammad bin al Issa, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League.

The Muslim World League (MWL) was created in Saudi Arabia in 1962 by Saudi leadership and the International Muslim Brotherhood. The MWL’s Secretary General is appointed by the Saudi Crown Prince, and MWL is directly tied to the Saudi government. The MWL has many “humanitarian” and “relief” organizations as a part of its network, many of which have had their assets frozen by the U.S. government for directly supporting significant terrorist operations worldwide. Finally, the Muslim World League is directly tied to senior Al Qaeda leadership and terrorist organizations and operations around the world.

See evidence of MWL’s ties to Al Qaeda and other terrorist networks HEREHERE, and HERE.

To be clear, numerous international Saudi charities controlled by the Saudi government have been directly implicated in terrorist attacks against U.S. interests around the world over the last 30 years.

Mohammed bin al Issa’s Muslim World League is at the center of much of this activity.

At the international level, The MWL’s Secretary General Mohammad Al Issa works closely with the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, the World Council of Churches, the World Food Programme, the International Federation of Red Cross, and Red Crescent Societies, and others.

This is the “key advisor” to All Arab News – which purports to be a “Christian” media outlet.

Another key advisor for All Arab News is His Excellency Dr. Ali Al Nuaimi, the first Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders.

Some of the most well-known Islamic scholars and supporters of the global jihad sit on the Muslim Council of Elders, including:

  1. Chairman, “His Eminence” Grand Imam Shaikh of al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed al-Tayyib. Al Azhar is the oldest and most prestigious university of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence on the planet. Al Azhar teaches that “warfare against non-muslims” is obligatory for all Muslims until “Allah’s divine law”/sharia is imposed on every human on earth. Specifically, “Now if the deeds of the jihad – including fighting the infidels and breaking their spine through all possible means – are permissible according to Sharia, then it is impossible to define those acts as terrorism.”
  2. Dr. Abdullah Nassif (also Naseef). Nassif is one of the founders and senior leaders of the Rabita Trust and the International Islamic Council for Dawa and Relief (IICDR), both of which fund Al Qaeda, Hamas, and other terrorist organizations. The Rabita Trust is a part of the Muslim World League and has been identified by the U.S. and other governments as supporting terrorism.
  3. Dr. Abdallah bin Bayyah. Bayyah serves in senior leadership positions in the International Muslim Brotherhood’s International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), Global Center for Renewal and Guidance (GCRG), and several other leading Muslim Brotherhood organizations overseeing operations in Europe.

The alignment of bad actors in positions of national leadership and influence in the U.S. evangelical community is preparing their next action steps coordinated with the communist Movement, including controlled opposition (read “republican leadership”), in accordance with the Muslim World League (MWL) and the General Secretary’s Global Interfaith Operations.

The MWL Secretary General – Mohammad al Issa – has penetrated conservative Christian leadership circles and solidified their support. Meanwhile, the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood leaders – specifically the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO) – continue to create “partnerships” in the Christian community – Catholic, protestant, and evangelical/non-denominational alike – in order to subvert and hinder their efforts, and advance already established information operations.

If you are still unsure about how badly penetrated the evangelical community is in the United States, look at the biographies of the Board of Directors for All Arab News here.

That should convince you.

Pope Francis denies that Hell is ‘a place,’ says it is ‘a posture towards life’

The pope's latest scandalous comments contradict the teachings of the Church Fathers on the existence of Hell.

VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — In an interview to mark his 10-year anniversary, Pope Francis appeared to deny the existence of Hell, saying that it “is not a place” but is instead simply “a state of the heart” and “a posture towards life.”

The pontiff’s comments formed part of a lengthy conversation conducted by Argentinian news site Perfil, one of a number of recent interviews the Pope granted journalists to mark his decade upon the papal throne. Touching on a number of topics he discussed with other reporters, Francis also spoke about his philosophical and theological thought, along with aspects relating to global politics.

As part of the in-depth discussion, Francis was asked, “What is your own interpretation of Hell and paradise, and what happens to people who go to Hell, and what happens to those who go to paradise?”

Giving a trademark lengthy, convoluted, and somewhat evasive answer, Francis appeared to deny the existence of Hell as an actual place. “Hell is not a place,” he said. “If one goes to attend the Last Judgment, and sees the faces of those who go to Hell, one gets scared. If you read Dante, you get scared. But these are media representations.”

Expanding on his answer, Francis described Hell simply as “a state” — a description that appeared to refer to a state of mind. “Hell is a state, there are people who live in Hell continuously.”

He clarified that he was not referring to suffering generally, but to “those who make a world of bad or sick self-referentiality, and end up living in Hell.”

Hell is a state, it is a state of the heart, of the soul, of a posture towards life, towards values, towards the family, towards everything. There are people who live in Hell because they seek it, there are others who do not, who are suffering. And who goes to Hell, to that Hell, to that state? They are already living from here.

Not content with appearing to deny the existence of Hell, however, Francis implied that there was no one actually in Hell — an about-turn in his argument that saw him appear to thus accept that Hell could be real.

“If you ask me how many people are in Hell, I answer you with a famous sculpture of the cathedral of Vézelay,” he said. Providing a description of the sculpture, Francis noted that the sculpture “has Judas hanging and the devil pulling him down, and on the other side they have the Good Shepherd, Jesus who grabs Judas and puts him on his shoulders with an ironic smile.”

“What does that mean?” he queried. “That salvation is stronger than damnation. This pilaster is a catechesis that should make us think.”

“God’s mercy is always at our side, and what God wants is always to be with his people, with his children, and not for them to leave him,” he ended.

His remarks echo those made in a controversial interview with atheist journalist Eugenio Scalfari, in which Scalfari claimed that Francis denied the existence of Hell and argued instead that “lost souls” were annihilated upon the death of the earthly body.

The Vatican subsequently issued a process of damage control following Scalfari’s publication of the interview. At the time, Fr. Thomas Rosica, English-language assistant to the Holy See Press Office, told LifeSiteNews: “All official, final texts of the Holy Father are found on the Vatican website,” and since they were never published by the Holy See Press Office they “should not be considered official texts.”

They were, said Fr. Rosica, “private discussions that took place and were never recorded by the journalist.”

Nebraska Democrat With Transgender Son in Hysterical Rant Against Republicans Trying to Protect Children

Megan Hunt becomes the first openly LGBTQ person elected to the legislature

Freedom From Religion Foundation Co-President Dan Barker and Director of Governmental Affairs Mark Dann speak with Nebraska state Sen. Megan Hunt. Hunt is openly atheist and bisexual and was the first openly LGBTQ person elected to the Nebraska legislature.

Nebraska Needs Comprehensive Sex Education

QUOTE: "My testimony at the State Board of Education hearing on the framework for K-12 health education in our state. The second draft of the standards was released in July and is a complete departure from what medical experts, education professionals, and decades of research clearly demonstrate is effective health education. The second draft significantly weakens the inclusion of medically accurate and age-appropriate essential elements—STD and pregnancy prevention, sexual orientation, gender identity, consent, and diverse family structures—resulting in a complete departure from what medical experts and decades of research clearly demonstrate is effective health education. By removing these topics, the second draft fails to align with not only best practices in the health education field but also the State Board of Education’s own Nondiscrimination and Equitable Educational Opportunities in Schools Position Statement, which states that all students should be “known, heard and supported.” The opposition wants us to teach values, but just their values. However, that is not the role of a public school system, and we have 304,000 children to keep safe, alive, and thriving. Research shows that medically and scientifically accurate sex education decreases the number of teen pregnancies, decreases the incidence of abortion, and delays the average age when students begin engaging in sexual activity."

Nebraska Legislature: Sen. Megan Hunt speaks about gender-affirming care

Sen. Megan Hunt addresses a would-be ban on gender-affirming care for minors in Nebraska. She revealed on the floor that her son is transgender and plans to filibuster the bill and other bills to keep it from passing.

We Cannot Codify Hate in Our State Laws

QUOTE: "LB574, introduced by Senator Kathleen Kauth, represents an extreme government intrusion into the private lives of families. Lawmakers have no place in legislating healthcare or discriminating against LGBTQ+ youth. We cannot enshrine this lack of safety into our laws which will only contribute to higher levels of suicide, substance abuse, and physical abuse."

Nebraska Democratic state Sen. Megan Hunt is on a crusade. And she wants everyone to know it.

Hunt has decided to filibuster the last two and a half months of the Nebraska legislative session to block the passage of a bill that would prevent “gender-affirming care” for minors. Listening to Hunt, who has a transgender “son,” you might think the GOP was planning mass murder.

The bill would ban gender surgeries and the prescription of hormones to minors. But for Hunt and other Nebraska Democrats, the bill is going to murder children.

“I will burn the session to the ground over this bill,” warned state Sen. Machaela Cavanaugh.

Hunt and her colleagues were just getting warmed up.

“If this bill passes, all your bills are on the chopping block, and the bridge is burned,” Hunt warned the chamber.

“We have made it clear that this is the line in the sand,” Hunt said to lawmakers on Thursday.

“People have said, ‘What if we go after your bills? What if we put a bunch of bills introduced by progressives up on the agenda? Are you going to filibuster those, too?’ Yes, because we’re not like you,” Hunt explained. “We have a principle and a value that actually matters that much to us that we’re willing to stand up for.”

Are we allowed to look at such nobility, such greatness in the eye? Perhaps we should have the Republicans in the Nebraska legislature knee-walk into the chamber while averting their gaze?

Apparently not.

“Don’t say hi to me in the hall, don’t ask me how my weekend was, don’t walk by my desk and ask me anything. Don’t send me Christmas cards ― take me off the list,” Hunt warned. “No one in the world holds a grudge like me, and no one in the world cares less about being petty than me. I don’t care. I don’t like you.”

Oh, sure. I’ll take her name off my Christmas card list right away, you bet.

The topper may have come when another Democratic female legislator broke down in tears after reading a letter from a psychologist.

Salon:

On Wednesday, Day cried in the chamber while reading a letter from a psychologist who said the bill “will result in the deaths of transgender and gender diverse adolescents, likely before the end of the school year.”

“I want all of you to go into the rotunda and look into the eyes of those parents and tell them that you’re voting for this bill knowing that it could potentially kill their child,” Day said with tears.

Sen. John Fredrickson, the first openly gay man elected to the Nebraska Legislature, also cried in the chamber before reading a letter from a constituent who said that without gender-affirming care, her son would likely have taken his own life as a teenager.

Just as an aside: there is no evidence that “gender-affirming care” improves the mental health of children. Teens are usually suffering from comorbidities unrelated to gender dysphoria and are still at risk even if they receive treatment.

But inconvenient facts like that can be ignored in service to the greater good. The fact is, Megan Hunt is a new kind of radical nutcase. A small-minded, bitter, closed-off white woman. If I were the Nebraska child services, I would investigate her to determine how much she influenced her “son’s” gender dysphoria.

This is a woman looking for a cause, and she has apparently found it.

DAVID WOOD: The Truth About Ramadan~Vatican Says Ramadan Is Important for Christians, Too?

Ramadan is typically described as a month-long fast. Yet the entire month is filled with feasting. Indeed, binge eating during Ramadan is causing a health crisis in Muslim countries. So why are gluttony and excess portrayed as a strict discipline and self-control in Islam? Is there a spiritual component to Ramadan? David Wood explores the issue and uncovers the disturbing truth about Islam's holiest month.

Christians of all traditions were likely surprised on Friday when the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue issued a message to Muslims for Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting by day and gorging by night. The fact that such a message was sent was not a surprise, as interreligious dialogue has for many years been far more important to the hierarchy of the Catholic Church and other Churches than actually spreading the Gospel message. The surprising aspect was that in the message, which was entitled “Christians and Muslims: Promoters of Love and Friendship,” the Vatican asserted that Ramadan is important not just for Muslims, but for Christians as well. Christians, were you aware of this?

The message was signed by Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, a Spanish prelate who is the prefect of the Interreligious Dialogue Dicastery, and Msgr. Indunil Kodithuwakku Janakaratne Kankanamalage, a Sri Lankan who is its secretary, is addressed to “Dear Muslim brothers and sisters.” It immediately states, “The month of Ramadan is important for you, but also for your friends, neighbors, and fellow believers of other religions, in particular Christians.” Can Cardinal Guixot or Msgr. Kankanamalage give us any examples of Christians who observe Ramadan, or who think it important?

Certainly, there are many Christians who believe for various reasons that it is very important to build good relationships with Muslims, but one would be hard-pressed to find any who actually join in the fasting-and-gorging month, just as it would be difficult to find any Muslims who observe the Christian fasting season of Lent. Although there is always some overlap, particularly among people in mixed marriages, it is rare for people of one religious tradition to follow the practices of another. The Vatican is so anxious to reach out in friendship to Muslims that it is massively overstating its case. That’s not to say that most Christians have a negative view of Ramadan. They just aren’t thinking about it at all.

The Vatican message, however, goes on to assert that during Ramadan, “existing friendships are reinforced and others are built, paving the way for more peaceful, harmonious and joyful coexistence. This corresponds to the divine will for our communities, and indeed for all the members and communities of the one human family.” Gee, that’s swell, but even Guixot and Kankanamalage seem to realize that it’s a bit pollyannish, as they go on to assure us that “we are aware, dear friends, that peaceful and friendly coexistence faces many challenges and threats: extremism, radicalism, polemics, disputes, and religiously motivated violence.”

You can say that again. In fact, much of that religiously motivated violence comes from people who are observing the month of Ramadan that the Vatican is busy celebrating. In April 2022, the Palestinian Authority’s Supreme Sharia Judge, Mahmoud Al-Habbash, declared that “Ramadan is not a month of laziness but rather a month of activity, of effort, and of hard work, and as it also was in the life of the Prophet, a month of jihad, conquest, and victory.” The jihad he had in mind was violence against unbelievers, and not getting the kids to school on time, as a Muslim cleric in India, Maulana Bashir Ahmad Khaki, made clear in 2018: “Ramadan is the pious month of ‘Jihad-o-Qital’ (Jihad and killing). Those who attain martyrdom while waging Jihad, doors of heaven remain open.” In 2012, a jihad group in Bulgaria explained, “Ramadan is a month of holy war and death for Allah. It is a month for fighting the enemies of Allah and God’s messenger, the Jews and their American facilitators.” Or as the Vatican put it, “The threats are fueled by a culture of hate.”

The Vatican did not, however, explain exactly where that “culture of hate” was coming from. Instead, it pretended that both sides had an equal responsibility to seek peace: “We need, then, to find the most appropriate ways of countering and overcoming such a culture, enhancing instead, enhancing love and friendship, in particular between Muslims and Christians, due to the bonds that unite us.” Terrific. But did Guixot and Kankanamalage ever pause to ponder why such statements always and in every case come from the Christian side of the interreligious dialogue with Muslims, not from the Muslim side? Where are the Muslim leaders exhorting their coreligionists to reach out to Christians and other non-Muslims in friendship, and to reject the understanding of Ramadan that includes violence?

The Vatican’s naïve and willfully ignorant Ramadan message only highlights the fact that in this as in virtually all other cases, the friendly outreach to other religious traditions is decidedly one-sided.

Cardinal Michael Fitzgerald, the Roman Catholic Church’s apostolic nuncio emeritus to Egypt and apostolic delegate emeritus to the Arab League, as well as a past president of the Pontifical Council for Irreligious, er, that is, Interreligious Dialogue, on Sunday represented Pope Francis at the first prayer service in St. Francis of Assisi Church in Abu Dhabi, which is part of the new Abrahamic Family House, an interfaith shrine that comprises not just a church, but also a synagogue and a mosque. What could possibly go wrong? Plenty.

“The place of prayer,” Fitzgerald announced happily, “should also be a place of joy, and I hope that this will be true for all of us here present.” Fitzgerald also expressed the hope that the new three-in-one house of worship would be “a house of prayer for all the peoples.” Maybe it will, but Fitzgerald and his colleagues are ignoring the fact that the Islamic prayers held in the building three days before the St. Francis of Assisi Church was inaugurated were hardly as welcoming to non-Muslims as the Christians and Jews have been to the Muslims.

ChurchMilitant.com reported Wednesday that Fitzgerald also said: “Worship opens us up to others, instilling in us care for justice, encouraging us to act with integrity. We cannot truly pray to God without remembering the other members of the Abrahamic family, and indeed of the human family.” Meanwhile, however, one of the other “members of the Abrahamic family” was not quite as generous. Muslims “had earlier prayed the Maghrib prayer in the mosque section of the shrine on Thursday evening.” According to a Muslim jurist who converted to Christianity, this was not the wonderful manifestation of interfaith harmony that Fitzgerald assumed it to be: “Remarkably, Cdl. Fitzgerald, an acclaimed Islamic scholar, ignored the fact that the Maghrib prayer contains Surah Al-Fatiha, which is one of the most anti-Christian and anti-Jewish texts in the Qur’an. The inclusion of this prayer, which is considered indispensable in Muslim worship, tells us everything we need to know about how serious Muslims are about interfaith dialogue.”

Indeed. The Fatiha (Opening) is the first sura (chapter) of the Qur’an and the most common prayer of Islam. If you’re a pious Muslim who prays the five requisite daily prayers of Islam, you will recite the Fatiha seventeen times in the course of those prayers. The final two verses of the Fatiha ask Allah: “Guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not of those who have earned your anger, or of those who have gone astray.”

The traditional Islamic understanding of this is that the “straight path” is Islam, while the path “of those who have evoked Allah’s anger” are the Jews, and those who have gone “astray” are the Christians. The classic Qur’anic commentator Ibn Kathir explains that “the two paths He described here are both misguided,” and that those “two paths are the paths of the Christians and Jews, a fact that the believer should beware of so that he avoids them.” Ibn Kathir is not alone; in fact, most Muslim commentators believe that the Jews are those who have earned Allah’s wrath and the Christians are those who have gone astray.

Related: Pope Benedict Unleashes Posthumous BOMBSHELL on the Catholic Church

So as Cardinal Fitzgerald opened his “house of prayer for all the peoples,” one of the three principal groups included in it was praying not to be like the other two, but to be guided instead to the truth. What’s more, as I explained to Church Militant, no matter how friendly the relations are between the groups in the Abrahamic Family House, this friendliness will not lead Muslims to abandon core Islamic doctrines regarding how Christians wrongly proclaim Christ’s divinity and are under the curse of Allah as a result (cf. Qur’an 9:30; 5:17).

As in all other cases, Muslim/Christian dialogue is seen on the Muslim side as an opportunity to proselytize for Islam and intimidate Christians into fearing to discuss the rampant Muslim persecution of Christians, for fear of harming the dialogue. This interfaith shrine in Abu Dhabi is Pope Francis’ house of cards. It will result in nothing lasting except the continued ignorance and complacency of Catholics regarding the threat of Islamic jihad. Leftist Catholics such as Fitzgerald who think this is a positive step are being naïve. At best.

Vatican Asks That Biden Not Attend Pope Benedict’s Funeral

The second Roman Catholic president of the United States, Old Joe Biden, will not be present at the funeral of Pope Benedict XVI on Thursday. This is not because Biden would ever pass up an opportunity to flaunt the Catholic piety he so ostentatiously displays for political purposes, but because he was rather pointedly not invited. Are the falsity and hypocrisy of Old Joe’s religious displays finally catching up with him?

On Tuesday, Karine Jean-Pierre fielded a question on the pope’s funeral, and characteristically bobbled it. “So let me just first say, ‘cause we haven’t been able to, uh, be on the record on this, uh, since the passing of the pope. So as the president said in his statement, as I’m sure you saw, he joins Catholics and so many others around the world in mourning the passing of Pope, uh —”

Here Jean-Pierre paused and gazed for a few moments at a word she had apparently never seen before and had no idea how to pronounce, “Emeritus,” which she pronounced “Emmer-itis,” as if it were some kind of disease. “—Emmer-itis, uh, Benedict the Sixteenth. He will always, uh, remember the pope’s generosity and me — a meaningful conversation they had when he visited the Vatican in 2011. So, to answer your question, uh, the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See, Joe Donnelly, will, uh, represent the United States at the funeral of the pope, in line with the wishes of the late pope and the Vatican. This is what, uh, this is what their requests were, this is what their wishes were, uh, and so, uh, that’s what you’ll see from the U.S.”

Now, wait a minute. The Vatican expressly requested that Joe Donnelly be at the funeral. The Joe Donnelly? It’s much more likely that they expressly requested that Old Joe not be present, which is strange in light of Biden’s self-conscious and pretentious displays of his Catholicism. Jean-Pierre herself added: “You know, the president, uh, as you know, he takes, um, uh, his faith very seriously. Uh, this is someone who is, uh, passionate about his faith. That’s not something I even need to tell you. You know this, uh, for yourself.” Yes, Old Joe takes his faith so seriously that he moves heaven and earth to make sure that every baby that can be killed will be killed. Why he’s a regular Saint Francis of Assisi?

On Wednesday, a reporter asked Biden himself why he wasn’t going to Pope Benedict XVI’s funeral. With his increasingly frequent dementia-borne testiness, Biden snapped, “Well, why do you think?” The reporter responded, “You tell me,” to which the ostensible president responded, “You know why.” Quixotically, the reporter persisted: “You can tell me, sir.” Then Biden said: “Uh, the reason I’m not going to the funeral tomorrow is that it would take an entourage of a thousand people to show up, not literally.”

All right, sure. The president, even an addled front man such as Old Joe, can’t travel light; he does have to have a lot of people with him, and Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said Tuesday that “following the wishes of the pope emeritus,” which he likely knew how to pronounce, “the funeral will be held under the sign of simplicity.” Bruni added that it would be a “solemn but sober funeral. The express request on the part of the emeritus pope is that everything be simple, both with regard to the funeral as well as the other celebrations and gestures during this time of pain.”

Maybe that’s all there is to it. According to the Daily Wire, only Italy, and Germany, the two countries where Pope Benedict XVI lived and worked, were invited to send state delegations. However, “Poland’s President Andrzej Duda, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, and Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar are among those who have already confirmed their attendance at Benedict XVI’s funeral in an unofficial capacity. European royals Queen Sofia of Spain and King Philip and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are also planning to attend.” But not Old Joe.

Could it be that the Vatican, or at least the circle of Pope Benedict XVI, didn’t want present at the funeral a man who so cynically uses the Catholic faith to get votes while ignoring its actual content? Was the Vatican’s request that Biden not attend the funeral a shot at his relentless pro-abortion activism and war against his Church’s teaching in this matter? The Vatican is too diplomatic to say, and Biden’s handlers know better than to acknowledge an obvious rebuke. But it’s fairly obvious nevertheless.

2 Critical Things Catholicism Gets Wrong:

Eternal Security and Gospel Assurance
Did you know over half of those professing Christianity denies or rejects the Gospel’s divine promise of eternal life? Our Lord Jesus made His gracious and unbreakable promise very clear: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life" (John 5:24). The apostle John wrote an entire epistle to show believers that we can know that we have eternal life (1 John 5:13). True saving faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and our greatest hope is eternal, everlasting life with our Savior (Heb. 11:1). Yet, Satan wants to rob Christians of their joy, peace, freedom, and confidence in Christ. He persuades people to believe the lies of false teachers, rather than trust the power and promises of God found in His inspired Word. Believers are eternally secure because of God's omnipotent power and unbreakable promises.
Power of Almighty God
Everyone who has been born again to a living hope is protected by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Peter 1:3-5). Not only are all believers protected by the omnipotent power of God, but their inheritance is imperishable, undefiled, and reserved in heaven.
Promises of Our Great God and Savior
Our Lord Jesus promised, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out" (John 6:37). Our Savior's unbreakable promise is confirmed by God's will. “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day” (John 6:40).
Perpetual Intercession of Jesus
Our Lord Jesus "is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him since He always lives to make intercession for them" (Heb. 7:25).
Proof of Christ's Unconditional Love
Paul wrote: "Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword? But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 8:35, 37-39).
Protection of the Good Shepherd
The Good Shepherd described His protection this way: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand" (John 10:27-28). Jesus “is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy" (Jude 1:24). Our eternal destiny is assured because the Good Shepherd keeps us and protects us.
Permanence of Divine Gifts
The inspired Word of God assures us that the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable (Rom. 11:29). God will never take back His gracious, indescribable gift of salvation (Eph. 2:8-9).
Plain Meaning of the Word “Eternal”
Throughout the Bible, the word “eternal” is used to describe many things that are everlasting and never-ending. Everyone who believes the eternal Gospel is promised eternal redemption through the eternal Spirit, who guarantees our eternal inheritance (Heb. 9:12; Eph. 1:14). Our eternal God's eternal purpose promises eternal life and eternal glory to His children in His eternal kingdom (Rev. 14:6; Rom. 16:26; 1 John 5:13; 1 Pet. 5:10; 2 Pet.1:11). Those who deny or reject God's promise of eternal life need to reconsider what the word "eternal" means. They will have to answer these rhetorical questions:
  • How can one who has been made complete in Christ become incomplete? (Col. 2:10)
  • How can one who has been born again of incorruptible seed die again? (1 Pet. 1:23)
  • How can one who is kept by the power of God ever fall away? (1 Pet. 1:5)
  • How can one who has been perfected forever be found imperfect? (Heb. 10:14)
  • How could God break His promise to glorify everyone He justifies? (Rom. 8:30)
  • How can the Good Shepherd fail to protect and keep His sheep? (John 10:1-30)
  • How can the proof of God’s unconditional love be invalidated? (Rom. 8:31-39)
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest news anyone could ever hear because it offers the greatest gift anyone could ever receive! Let us proclaim it faithfully, completely, and passionately for the glory of Christ and the salvation of those who are perishing. You might even want to forward this article to your friends and loved ones!

Lighthouse Trails Research: Letter to the Editor-Our Son Might Go to Grace College in Winoka Lake, Indiana -Why Is LT Warning About It?

To Lighthouse Trails Editors:

Are you able to tell me the evidence that you gained by putting Grace College and Theological Seminary on your page of colleges you warn about? Our son is considering this college, and this was disappointing to see.

C.

Dear C.,

The school is on our list because they have incorporated Spiritual Formation into their school and the lives of their students. From 20 years of research, we have learned that if a school has a Spiritual Formation program (or Spiritual Formation courses), it always comes along with a spirituality that is unbiblical and rooted in the mystics. We will give you a few links to Grace where you can see some of this:

In Grace’s Biblical Studies course BBL3090 – Spiritual Formation (an undergraduate class), they are using books by three contemplative authors as textbooks: Larry CrabbDallas WillardPete Scazzero (all three of these can be found on our research site with documentation). This alone shows what the school’s definition of Spiritual Formation is. Willard and Scazzero are heavy hitters in the contemplative prayer movement.

In the Bible course 3220 – Principles and Practice of Prayer at Grace, emergent author Ann Voskamp’s book is being used (see our article https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=6604). This course is also using a book by C.J. Mahaney, a Calvinist/Reformed author and pastor. It’s very common to find both Calvinism and Contemplative at the same school. The same course is also using a textbook by Nancy DeMoss. You can read our article here https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=11137 showing our concerns.) The course also has as a textbook a book called Prayer by Hallesby with a foreword by contemplative pioneer Richard Foster.

If we look at just these two courses at Grace, it is plain to see that the school is incorporating into their students’ “education” contemplative spirituality, and remember, the fruit of contemplative is miles away from biblical Christianity (as we have documented extensively).

To give other examples: In the undergraduate course PHI3000 C, one of the textbooks is written by Peter Kreeft. Kreeft is a strong promoter of the Catholic Church (https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=1604). As we show in other articles, Kreeft is also an advocate for contemplative prayer. His teachings don’t belong in any evangelical Christian college.

In Grace’s BIB2140, textbooks are by emergent/ Catholic-leaning Francis Chan and emergent Calvinist J.D. Greear. (In one LT article/booklet, we refer to Greear because of his advocacy for Critical Race Theory.)

Clearly, this school doesn’t have discernment and are throwing a hodge-podge of false teachings at their students. A parent will be lucky if he or she recognizes his or her child’s faith in one or two semesters. We can guarantee that if a brief perusal through the school’s classes shows this much, it’s integrated throughout the school (e.g., chapel, church, missions, etc.).

We are sorry we are the bearers of bad news.

Top 10 Ways America Is Being Groomed to Normalize Pedophilia
LTRP Note: For nearly the full existence of Lighthouse Trails (20+ years), we have covered the topic of child sexual abuse and child endangerment. We have published a number of books, articles, and booklets by various authors to help bring awareness to and equip parents, grandparents, and guardians. The following article shows the continued danger that children in this country are facing.

By Linda Harvey

Respectable pedophilia. Are you ready for this?

I’m not and I will be screaming against it until the last breath. But it’s coming unless a massive parent brigade shows up in both schools and in another venue that must be deployed to overcome this depravity: churches.

The truth of God, proclaimed by His saints and confirmed in the power, blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ, fueled by the conviction of the Holy Spirit can prevail over the tragedy of child corruption. We can do this.

But first we must face how we are all being groomed, as child sexuality is being packaged and sold to America, even as the latest fashion trend (e.g., Balenciaga).

We must refuse to be enablers and then take steps to end this diabolical trend.

Here are the top 10 ways that child sexualization is being normalized in America.

1. Child empowerment and consent.  How long before we allow children to make their own decisions about health care, counseling, and then the choice of a sexual partner? Over thirty years ago, a child’s right to “freedom of association” showed up in a revised United Nations document, “The Convention on the Rights of the Child.” That document has not been ratified by all countries, including the United States. But it remains a cherished goal of global leftists. Click here to continue reading.

Letters to the Editor: Author of The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, John Mark Comer, Bringing “Renewed” Contemplative Spirituality Into the Churches
LTRP Note: Please see editors notes below this letter.

Dear Lighthouse Trails:

Today my neighbor who’s in an emergent church . . . told me his church started a sermon series called “The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry.” Hmm . . . I’ve left enough emergent churches to know a sermon series probably has a book. So, I did a search and found this disturbing link of trailers by this guy. . . .

This book (The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry), written by John Mark Comer, teaches readers to do breath prayers, mindfulness meditation, and various other contemplative-type exercises.

So, I just wanted to bring this to your attention as I see out there on vimeo and YouTube that Comer’s contemplative message is circulating in the churches.

This is such a burden as I left the Catholic Church many years ago.  I don’t even know what else to say about this. Do you think I should calmly approach the pastor in the neighborhood? Do I just pretend to not know any of this to get along?

Jane

LT Editors’ Notes:

The Letter to the Editor above was sent to us this past May, but we had not posted it yet. Yesterday, we received the following from another reader:

. . . I was wondering if you have done any research on John Mark Comer. He is the founding pastor of Bridgetown church in Portland, OR. He seems to have a big influence on pastors of other churches. He has written and promoted something called “Practicing the Way.” I’m not sure what that all is about but am concerned this may not be in line with Scripture. He has also written several books. Some of the teachings he has on YouTube are also a concern.—Debbie

In between receiving these two letters from the two LT readers, one of our authors began doing research on John Mark Comer and Tyler Staton (Staton, “lead pastor” at Bridgetown Church in Portland, is author of a new book titled Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools). Comer and Staton have worked together on various projects and interviews (such as this one on YouTube), and Comer’s endorsement of Staton’s book is inside the front cover. Both Praying Like Monks and The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry are heavily contemplative books.

The contemplative prayer movement (via Spiritual Formation) largely entered the church in 1978 when Richard Foster’s book, Celebration of Discipline was released (Foster was a self-proclaimed type protege of Catholic mystic Thomas Merton). The CP movement simmered for a couple decades but was heating up as figures like Rick Warren began promoting it (even as far back as the 1990s). But still, most Christians had not heard of it (even though their pastors were reading Celebration of Discipline unbeknownst to their congregations; and as we documented in our special reporEpidemic of Apostasy, many pastors had been introduced to contemplative spirituality in their Christian universities and seminaries).

Today, long after Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, and Brennan Manning (three pioneering Catholic contemplative mystics) are gone, a new generation of young “hip” pastors and leaders are rising up with a renewed energy to spread the contemplative message. Catholic mystic, Richard Rohr (who Ray Yungen said was today’s Thomas Merton) has provided the fodder and guidance for many of these new contemplatives. That’s easily proveable: One of Richard Rohr’s publishers told him that his biggest readership was young evangelical men [1] (e.g., today’s young pastors, two of which are Comer and Staton).

In his book, A Time of Departing, Ray Yungen explained, dissected, and exposed the contemplative issue in a way that is easy to understand and is incredibly well documented with source material (making his proclamations and warnings irrefutable—you know what we mean if you have read the book). If there is anyone reading this post who has not yet read A Time of Departing, we beseech you to read it. If you do not have a copy and are struggling to get one, we will send anyone who asks us a free copy of the book. Write to us at editors@lighthousetrails.com and give us your name and mailing address (we will keep those confidential). You see, it’s not about the money for Lighthouse Trails. It never has been. If you haven’t read our story of how we began this ministry, you can read it here. It began because of the contemplative prayer movement, and we have been compelled all these years to continue with this warning even though many pastors and church figures have belittled, mocked, and rejected our findings. If you read our story, we think you will begin to understand the urgency and continuation of our warnings.

What’s at stake here? The future of your churches and the faith of your children and grandchildren.

In A Time of Departing, Yungen exhorts us:

Contemplative advocates propose that there has been something vital and important missing from the church for centuries. The insinuation is that Christians have been lacking something necessary for their spiritual vitality; but that would mean the Holy Spirit has not been fully effective for hundreds of years and only now the secret key has been found that unlocks God’s full power to know Him. These proponents believe that Christianity has been seriously crippled without this extra ingredient. This kind of thinking leads one to believe that traditional, biblical Christianity is merely a philosophy without the contemplative prayer element. Contemplatives are making a distinction between studying and meditating on the Word of God versus experiencing Him, suggesting that we cannot hear Him or really know Him simply by studying His Word or even through normal prayer—we must be contemplative to accomplish this. But the Bible makes it clear that the Word of God is living and active, and has always been that way, and it is in filling our minds with it that we come to love Him, not through a mystical practice of stopping the flow of thought (the stillness) that is never once mentioned in the Bible, except in warnings against vain repetitions. . . .

Evangelical Christianity is being invited, perhaps even catapulted into seeing God with the “new eyes” of contemplative prayer. The question must be asked, is Thomas Merton’s silence, Henri Nouwen’s space, and Richard Foster’s contemplative prayer [which is rooted in panentheism and interspirituality] the way in which we can know and be close to God? Or is this actually a spiritual belief system contrary to the true message that the Bible so absolutely defines—that there is only one way to God and that is through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice on the Cross obtained our full salvation?

If indeed my concerns for the future actually come to fruition, then we will truly enter a time of departing. My prayer is that you will not turn away from the faith to follow a different gospel and a different Jesus but will rather stay the course and finish the race, so that after having done all you can, you will stand.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:13)

When we consider the serious ramifications of the contemplative prayer movement and then also recognize that three of the major influences in the lives of millions of Christians—The Shack, Jesus Calling, and The Chosen—all have ties to the contemplative prayer movement, it is not difficult to conclude that millions of Christians are not wearing the “armour of God” and may, therefore, not “be able to withstand in the evil day.”

The Radical Inclusive CATHOLIC Church

Irish of a traditional bent need not apply.

BY WILLIAM KILPATRICK

SEE: https://www.frontpagemag.com/the-radical-inclusive-church/;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

Most practicing Catholics will have noticed by now that the Church under Francis has changed.  And many are not happy with the changes.

For example, Andrea Cianci, author of a new book that questions the validity of Francis’s election, says that Francis’s objective is to “demolish Catholicism.” But it’s not only Francis that traditional Catholics worry about. His plans for the dismantling of the Church are being implemented by a small army of prelates who are, in essence, Francis clones.

Right now, Francis and his supporters are utilizing the Synod on Synodality as the main engine for transforming the Church into something new and strange. Conservative critics of the synod claim that it is a “hostile takeover of the Church,” an “exercise in self-destructive behavior,” and an “open revolution.” This may seem extreme, but many of Francis’s words and actions reveal a man who is deeply hostile to the Catholic Church—a Church that he considers “rigid,” “fundamentalist,” “exclusivist,” and very much in need of opening up. Moreover, those who are running the Synod share his sentiments.

In reality, the Church has been opening up ever since the pontificate of John XXIII, but much of what the Church of Francis is engaged in is not simply an opening up of the Church, but a rejection of it.  Church leaders are already in the process of rejecting the Church’s teaching on marriage, adultery, abortion, homosexuality, gender, divorce, polygamy, clerical celibacy, and women’s ordination. To the extent that they are opening the Church, they are opening it to people who dissent from Church teaching on these and other matters.

Perhaps because they realize they are already firmly in control, the “woke” prelates have become quite open about what they plan to do.  For example, the Vatican has just released a new document for the Synod on Synodality which calls for “a Church capable of radical inclusion.”

The 44-page document is entitled “Enlarge the space of your tent,” but the tent doesn’t seem to have much space for traditional Catholic beliefs and practices.  Rather it encourages dialogue with “those who, for various reasons, feel a tension between belonging to the Church and their own loving relationship, such as remarried divorcees, single parents, people living in a polygamous marriage, LGBTQ people, etc.”

“Polygamous marriage?”  One wonders what’s included in “etc.”  In any event, this new inclusive model is being suggested as the model the Church should embrace.  But don’t assume that the plan is to help the “marginalized” (i.e., adulterers, LGBTQ, etc.) to conform their lives to Church teaching.  Rather, the plan is to conform the Church’s teachings to the “lived experience” of the marginalized.

“Radical inclusion” sounds vaguely Christian, but it is actually a plan for demolishing the Church—as the word “radical” implies. The word brings to mind images of the radical French Revolution, the radical Russian Revolution, and the radical Sexual Revolution. All three resulted in enormous damage to the societies involved, yet the Synod documents often speak the language of revolutionary change. Moreover, the Synod fathers seem anxious to bless the Sexual Revolution and bring it fully into the Church. “Radical” is not usually thought of as a term of praise, but that’s the way it was used by Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, the Relator General of the Synod, in a recent interview with L’Osservatore Romano. Hollerich praised Pope Francis for being “not a liberal” but a “radical.”

Most Catholics don’t keep up with recent issues of L’Osservatore Romano or with the latest Vatican document. So, relatively few are aware of the radical nature of the changes being proposed in the synods. Perhaps the most prominent synodal theme is “inclusion,” and the promise that no one is excluded. But when the Synod fathers say “no one is excluded,” it should give us pause.  Do they also mean “no sins are excluded?”  Do they mean that no repentance is required? The numerous synod documents suggest that what progressive Catholics want is an inclusive community without rules—a place where each follows his or her own inner guidance.

But workable communities that last do have rules and, in order to survive, they tend to exclude those who won’t follow the rules.  One supposes, for example, that a good number of bishops belong to a golf club.  And it’s a good bet they know and observe the rules of the club.  If a bishop drives his golf cart in a reckless way after several drinks and several warnings, he can expect to be excluded from the club.  He can claim that the club has “marginalized” him, but in reality, he has marginalized himself.

One might counter by observing that the Church is not a golf club. It follows a different—more merciful– set of rules. Cardinal Hollerich has said as much: “[The] Kingdom of God is not an exclusive club.” Rather, he says, its doors are open “to everyone without discrimination.” “This,” said Hollerich, “is simply about affirming that Christ’s message is for everyone.”

All Christians can agree that Christ’s message is for everyone. But most would want “everyone” to hear the full message of Christ, not a highly redacted version. If you read the full message of Christ on the subject of entrance into the Kingdom of God, you would not, contra Hollerich, get the impression that it’s open “to everyone without discrimination.” Not by a long shot.

Take Matthew 25:31-46—the parable about the sheep and the goats. On Judgment Day, “[The King] will separate the sheep from the goats, and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.” He then invites the sheep to inherit the kingdom, but the goats are sent away “into eternal punishment.”

I don’t know about you, but that sounds discriminatory to me. And frightening as well. Thank Heaven for purgatory.

Christ also discriminates on several occasions in favor of wheat over weeds (or chaff): “Let both grow together until the harvest and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, ‘Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn’” (Mt.13:30).

In another parable, he tells his disciples: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a net which was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind; when it was full, men…sorted the good into vessels but threw away the bad” (Mt. 13:47-48).

Lest there be any misunderstanding, Jesus then explains: “So it will be at the end of the age, the angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous, and throw them into the furnace of fire” (Mt. 13 49-50).

The meaning of these parables seems clear, yet Christ tells several other parables with the same message.  In one parable, he tells of five wise maidens who, having made proper preparations, are admitted to a wedding feast; and of five foolish maidens who, having failed to make sufficient preparations, are excluded from the feast.

In another parable about a wedding feast, a guest without a wedding garment is cast out the door: “Then the king said to the attendants, “Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness…For many are called, but few are chosen” (Mt. 22: 13-14).

Hollerich may say that the Kingdom of God is open “to everyone without discrimination,” but the Gospels seem to be saying something different.  Hollerich says, in effect, “come as you are,” but Jesus advises us to come wearing a wedding suit (i.e., in a state of grace.) Although well-acquainted with the merciful sayings of Jesus, Hollerich, and Francis seem to ignore his more judgmental warnings.

Quite obviously, the words of Jesus are an obstacle to the synodal plans of Hollerich, Francis, and others in the hierarchy.  Quite obviously, Jesus will have to go if the synodalists hope to achieve their goals.  Expect him to gradually disappear from the new radically inclusive Church.  Either that or expect him to be transformed to better fit the jolly theology of Cardinal Hollerich who tells us that “living in the footsteps of Christ means living well, it means enjoying life.”

In short, expect Jesus to be transformed into some kind of happy genderless hippie who utters woke platitudes and announces the good news that your sins aren’t really sins at all.  He just wants you to be happy doing whatever makes you feel good.

It is, of course, a formula for disaster. Canon Lawyer Rev. Gerald F. Murray calls it “a self-destructive Synod.”  He notes some of the signs of decline in the Church we have already seen under Francis: “lack of priestly vocations in the developed world; the steep decline in Mass attendance, baptisms, and Church weddings…the collapse of religious orders and the rejection of doctrinal fidelity.”

One doesn’t have to look far to find signs of doctrinal infidelity.  Here in the U.S., LGBTQ activist priest Fr. James Martin has asserted that LGBT Christians are not bound by the rule of chastity.  And in formerly Catholic Ireland, an elderly priest was recently suspended by his bishop for speaking of the sinfulness of certain sexual activities.

The priest, Fr. Sean Sheehy, said he was simply stating what was in the Gospel. But that’s the problem, isn’t it?  Fr. Murray says the Synod is “self-destructive.”  But it’s only self-destructive if the intention of the Synod is to preserve and strengthen the Church founded by Christ and revealed to Christians in the gospels.  If the intention of the Synod fathers (along with Pope Francis) is to replace the Church of Christ with a humanistic/modernist Church with all the supernatural elements purged out, then the Synod has thus far been a roaring success for them—if not for the rest of us.

It’s possible that the Synod organizers are genuinely well-intentioned.  Perhaps they think that by downplaying immorality and by convincing Catholics to “take it easy on yourself,” Catholics will shake off their burden of guilt and lead happier healthier lives.  But previous attempts at relaxing the rules while ignoring the supernatural dimension of life—such as the Sexual Revolution—eventually resulted in making life harder not easier.

Should the Synod fathers succeed in convincing Catholics that sin is not sinful, the destructive, addictive, and family-wrecking effects of sin will still be at work—both in individual lives and throughout society. The Synod leaders may succeed in bringing about a radical change in the Church, but because of their naivete about human nature, the changes will inexorably lead to widespread unhappiness and despair.

Pope FRANCIS praises Muslim Council of Elders, claims it is ‘committed to dispelling erroneous interpretations’ of Islam

With Russia’s war in Ukraine raging, Pope Francis joined Muslim, Christian, and Jewish leaders Friday in calling for the world’s great religions to work together for peace, telling an interfaith summit that religion must never be used to justify violence and that faith leaders must counter the “childlike” whims of the powerful to make war.

LIVE from the Mosque - Sakhir Royal Palace | Join us for Pope Francis' meeting with Members of the Muslim Council of Elders. Later, the Holy Father will move to the Our Lady of Arabia Cathedral to join an Ecumenical Prayer for Peace.

The naive Francis twice said: “As-salamu alaikum!,” not realizing that in Islamic law, only Muslims may use that greeting, when greeting fellow Muslims. It means “Peace be upon you,” and to unbelievers, a Muslim is supposed to say “Peace be upon those who are rightly guided.”

He also said: “I offer you cordial greetings and I express my prayerful hope that the peace of the Most High may descend upon each of you: upon you, who desire to foster reconciliation in order to avoid divisions and conflicts in Muslim communities; upon you, who see in extremism a danger that corrodes genuine religion; upon you, who are committed to dispelling erroneous interpretations that through violence misconstrue, exploit and do a disservice to religious belief.”

It would be refreshing if the Muslim Council of Elders actually bothered to explain how the interpretations of “extremists” are “erroneous,” so that their influence in Muslim communities could be combatted. But they don’t do this, and the pope doesn’t seem to notice or care.

“Pope Francis to Muslim Elders: God ‘Never Incites Hatred, Never Supports Violence,’” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, November 5, 2022:

ROME — Pope Francis told Muslim elders in Bahrain Friday that God is the source of peace and he “never brings about war, never incites hatred, never supports violence.”

“I have come among you as a believer in God, as a brother and as a pilgrim of peace,” the pontiff told the Muslim Council of Elders, so that “we can journey together.”

In passing, the pope also addressed concerns of alleged human rights abuses in the majority Sunni Muslim nation, especially of the country’s minority Shiite Muslim community. In recent years many Shiite activists have been imprisoned or deported, and the largest Shiite opposition group has been outlawed.

“I offer … my prayerful hope that the peace of the Most High may descend upon each of you … who desire to foster reconciliation in order to avoid divisions and conflicts in Muslim communities,” Francis said.

“We, who believe in [God], are called to promote peace with tools of peace, such as encounter, patient negotiations and dialogue, which is the oxygen of peaceful coexistence,” he said.

“Peace is born of fraternity; it grows through the struggle against injustice and inequality; it is built by holding out a hand to others,” he declared, which is made possible “by eliminating the forms of inequality and discrimination that give rise to instability and hostility.”

The pope praised his hearers for seeing in extremism “a danger that corrodes genuine religion” and for their commitment “to dispelling erroneous interpretations that through violence misconstrue, exploit and do a disservice to religious belief.”

“We need to put a future of fraternity ahead of a past of antagonism, overcoming historical prejudices and misunderstandings in the name of the One who is the source of peace,” he asserted….

Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayyeb, who as grand imam of Cairo’s Al-Azhar is the foremost cleric in Sunni Islam, met up again with his pal Pope Francis in Bahrain on Friday and gave us one of the best episodes yet of their ongoing buddy-movie series. Whenever these two get together, they always serve up fresh steaming piles of cynical deception, Islamic proselytizing, and Leftist agitprop, and Friday’s episode was no different. In fact, it was one of the most outstanding examples yet of how Islamic leaders use interreligious dialogue to further their own ends, playing their naïve Christian counterparts for fools again and again.

At the Bahrain Forum for Dialogue, according to Church Militant, al-Tayyeb asserted that “what is said and promoted from time to time about the institution of war in Islam against the infidels is not true. Indeed, it is a real lie about Islam and the life of its prophet, even if this is affirmed by some followers of the same religion, a religion that is based on evidence and testimony, not on ambiguity and lies.” The “lie” that al-Tayyeb had in mind was the readily demonstrable proposition that Islam is the only major world religion that has a developed doctrine involving warfare against the subjugation of unbelievers. Despite statements to that effect from numerous Muslim clerics and the undeniable evidence of over 42,000 violent jihad attacks worldwide since 9/11, al-Tayyeb insisted that it was all a misunderstanding.

We have, of course, heard this song before, and al-Tayyeb was aware of that, telling the pope: “I hope you are not bored with the constant claims that Islam is a religion of peace and equality.” Pope Francis, of course, was just the opposite of bored. He can’t get enough of that sort of thing, as back in 2013 he himself declared, with imperviousness to facts and evidence that was truly breathtaking, that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.”

Why is this so hard for Westerners to grasp? Well, it’s largely because it isn’t remotely true, but as far as al-Tayyeb was concerned, it was because Muslim scholars have been less than “diligent in letting Westerners know about true Islam.” He said that they should “continue to highlight what Islam encompasses in terms of lofty ideals, human brotherhood and cooperation, and other commonalities that the West and East agree on and welcome.” Yeah, good idea. Maybe he can explain where exactly the Qur’an calls for “human brotherhood and cooperation” with non-Muslims, whom the Islamic holy book calls “the most vile of created beings” (98:6).

Al-Tayyeb didn’t get close to dealing with that Qur’an verse and others like it. He was too busy playing to his audience, knowing that a doctrinaire Leftist such as Pope Francis would be thrilled to hear about how the Big Bad West could learn from the wise, benign, serene East: “Western culture should not be represented as the only civilized society and as the standard for judging other cultures. Any interference with other cultures is an abuse of power. The West needs the wisdom of the East, its religious and moral values upon which its people were raised, as well as its balanced view of man, the universe, and our Creator,” so as “not to be blinded by putting the ephemeral before the eternal.”

Related: Pope Francis: ‘Through My Racism, Through My Most Grievous Racism’

Church Militant notes that “while Pope Francis did not make any explicit reference to the Triune God or the Holy Bible, the highest-ranking cleric in the Sunni-Muslim world introduced and ended his address with an Islamic blessing and unapologetically quoted the Quran several times in his text.” At one point, al-Tayyeb asked: “What is the relationship between people according to the philosophy of the Qur’an? The only way to make this relationship work is knowledge, which is how Allah has established the interactions and relationships between people. The Qur’an says it clearly: ‘O humanity! Indeed, we created you from a male and a female and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may get to know one another. Surely, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware,’ (Qur’an 49:13).”

Gee, that sounds great, but unfortunately, it is not even close to being the Qur’an’s last or only word on such matters. As I told Church Militant, Al-Tayyeb’s statements demonstrated yet again that for all too many Islamic leaders, if not all, interreligious dialogue is a vehicle for dawah, Islamic proselytizing, not genuine give-and-take. His copious quotations from the Qur’an, while Francis fastidiously refrained from quoting the Bible, show once again how one-sided this “dialogue” really is: the self-abnegation and deference are all on the Christian side, while the Muslim side retains a resolute self-awareness and doesn’t move toward the other side even an inch.

Meanwhile, al-Tayyeb’s exposition of Islam was highly inaccurate and misleading; among the many salient Qur’an passages he did not quote are “Fight them until there is no more persecution and religion is all for Allah” (8:39), which is an open-ended declaration of war against unbelievers, and “Muhammad is the apostle of Allah. Those who follow him are ruthless to unbelievers, merciful to one another” (48:29), which belies claims he made about Islam teaching that “peace and knowledge” should guide relationships between people. Even if he knew how deceptive al-Tayyeb was being, which he almost certainly did not, Francis wouldn’t have dreamed of contradicting him publicly or asking him any pointed questions. He willingly and happily played the useful idiot and dhimmi.

That’s the state of interfaith dialogue in this enlightened year 2022.

A Hostile Takeover of the Catholic Church?

Does the Synod have a sinister purpose?

BY WILLIAM KILPATRICK

In a recent interview on EWTN’s The World OverCardinal Gerhard Muller, the former head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, warned that the Synod on Synodality was engaged in a “hostile takeover of the Church.”

If you’re not sure what “synodality “means, don’t feel bad, very few know what the Synod of Synodality is all about.  As best as I can tell, it’s a multi-year process consisting of numerous meetings and consultations which will culminate in the Synod of Bishops next year in Rome.  It has to do with “walking together,” listening to one another, and gathering opinions from the faithful and not-so-faithful.

They haven’t gotten around yet to ask my opinion, so I’ll offer it here in case they never do.

My opinion?  I agree with Cardinal Muller that the Synod is intended to be a “hostile takeover” of the Church.  The first giveaway is the vagueness of it all.  It’s about “listening to the Holy Spirit,” “listening to everybody,” and “not excluding anyone.” It’s the kind of language an HR department uses when it wants employees to think that their opinions are highly valued.

When the Synodal leaders do get more explicit, it only reinforces Cardinal Muller’s charge of a takeover.  In speaking of divorced and remarried Catholics receiving Communion, or same-sex couples receiving a blessing, Cardinal Mario Grech, the Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops, said they should be listened to because “this [might] be an opportunity for the Church to listen to the Holy Spirit speaking through them also.”

Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, the Realtor General for the Synod (i.e., the man in charge) seems to already know what the Holy Spirit will say about these issues.  Earlier this year, he said that the Church’s teaching on homosexuality is “no longer correct.”  “It’s about time,” he said, “we did a fundamental revision of the doctrine here.”

Of course, if the Synod can revise one doctrine, what’s to prevent it from revising a few more?  Or even two dozen?  There are all sorts of pressure groups within the Church who favor changes to doctrine—changes that will make them feel more comfortable but may cause enormous damage to the Church.

To get an idea of how the synodal way will likely proceed, it’s useful to consider an example of another “hostile takeover.”

About five years ago, I wrote a piece about the “hijacking” of the Catholic-Muslim dialogue in America by Islamists.  Perhaps “hijacking” was too strong a word.  “Influence operation” might have been more accurate.  In any event, the initial goal of the dialogue—to learn more about each other’s religion—shifted, in the words of one Catholic official, to “advocacy” for Muslims.

Thus, Anthony Cirelli, associate director of the USCCB’s Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs told Catholic News Service that “there is an “urgency to engage more in a kind of advocacy and policy in support of the Muslim community.”  He added that U.S. bishops are “coming to stand with our Muslim colleagues…in trying to change the negative narrative surrounding Muslims in our popular media.”

In short, instead of Catholics learning more about Islam, the aim of the dialogues shifted to Catholics helping Muslims to improve their image.  The “urgency” was not to understand Islam, but to “stand with our Muslim colleagues…”  Against what?  Against a supposed tsunami of “Islamophobia.”

But there was very little evidence of any real Islamophobia.  Much of the data on anti-Muslim attacks was based on false reports.  Moreover, Muslim-on-Muslim attacks (which are relatively frequent) were counted as instances of “Islamophobia.”  And the media, far from pushing a false negative narrative about Islam, had instead painted a false positive image—namely, that Islam is a “religion of peace” that has “nothing to do with violence.”  If the media was guilty of anything, it was guilty of covering up the massive scale of global Islamic terror attacks.

Nevertheless, Catholic leaders in America and elsewhere fell for the “Islamophobia” scam, and they threw money and resources into the anti-Islamophobia campaign—a campaign that was already well-funded by Arab Gulf States.

It would be a mistake, however, to conclude that Catholic dialoguers had been innocent victims.  For most of them, the “Islamophobia” narrative was the narrative that they wanted to believe.  It fit nicely into the Catholic narrative about Islam that had developed in the wake of Vatican II—namely, that Islam was a fellow Abrahamic religion that shared much in common with Catholicism, especially a desire for peace.

This focus on shared beliefs provided two main benefits to the Catholic dialogue participants.  First, it allowed them to avoid the unpleasant business of discussing major theological differences with Muslims, and, second, it gave them an opportunity to signal their virtues.

If Muslims could be portrayed as victims of Islamophobia, then Catholic prelates who “stand with our Muslim colleagues” could portray themselves as protectors of the victims—older brothers who would defend their younger siblings from the bullies of the world.  As Bishop (now Cardinal) Robert Mc Elroy said at one USCCB dialogue event, Catholics need to take up the fight against “the scourge of anti-Islamic prejudice.”

However, as anyone who is acquainted with recent history ought to know, Islam is hardly a defenseless younger brother.  The number of Muslims in the world dwarfs the number of Catholics.  And Islam is far more a victimizer than a victim.  Anyone who doubts this ought to consult Raymond Ibrahim’s detailed record of the persecution of non-Muslims by Muslims in recent years.  Yet, despite this abundant evidence, Catholic bishops seem more interested in protecting Muslims from imaginary crimes than in protecting Christians from real crimes at the hands of Muslims.

I bring up the “hijacking” of the Catholic-Muslim dialogue because what Cardinal Muller calls the “hostile takeover” of the Church by the Synod of Synodality seems to be proceeding by the same method.  The Synod organizers are not interested in debating the merits of new movements within the Church, but rather of presenting various dissenting groups as “victims” who deserve justice.

In other words, the aim is not to discuss the pros and cons of women priests or same-sex unions, or the LGBT agenda but to convince ordinary Catholics that they must stand with their “persecuted” and “powerless” younger brothers and sisters in Christ.

So just as bishops have come to believe that they have a mission to protect Muslims from “Islamophobes,” they also believe they have a mission to protect dissenting minorities in the Church from “homophobes,” “transphobes,” and every other type of “progressivephobe” (a word which in all probability will soon be added to the lexicon). Moreover, the 24/7 focus on the needs and grievances of these supposed victims deflects attention away from the harm they do to Church and society

As in the case of Muslim “victims” of Islamophobia, these “excluded “groups are presented as beleaguered and powerless minorities when, in fact, they wield considerable power.  As is well-known, Pope Francis has stacked the College of Cardinals with progressive prelates who share his own agenda.  Moreover, many, if not most, of the top positions in the Vatican are currently held by pro-LGBT and pro-communion-for-everyone cardinals and bishops. It is they, not Cardinal Muller and the handful of other conservative prelates, who are calling the shots.

In this regard, traditional Catholics need to learn a lesson from the current political realities in America.  In the wake of Joe Biden’s presidential victory, it turned out that the deep state bureaucracy and the Democratic machine had amassed far more power and control over American society than any, except for a few, had imagined.  The “hijacking” of America was much further advanced than most had supposed.

Likewise, traditional Catholics should not be surprised when they discover that the “deep Church” of the dissenters wields far more power than they had thought possible.

They also should not be surprised to discover that the supposed “victims” of the Church’s “exclusivity” will turn out to be victimizers.  The main victim of the “hostile takeover” will be the Church itself and the gospel revelation entrusted to it.  The next set of victims will be all those Christians who have come to rely on that revelation for hope and guidance.

A recent piece in the National Catholic Register puts the matter bluntly: “Some faithful German Catholics are already talking, not of the synodal way, but the suicidal way.”

According to some Catholic officials, the word “synod” derives from two Greek words meaning “to walk together” or “walking together.”  Unless it makes a sharp course correction, the current Synod on Synodality may be more accurately described as “walking together over the cliff.”

95% Muslim students: that’s France’s diversity of the future.

“The success of ‘Saint-Jo’, a private Catholic school in the heart of working-class neighborhoods in Marseille,” translated from “La réussite de «Saint-Jo», école privée catholique au cœur des quartiers populaires de Marseille,” by Judith Waintraub, Le Figaro, October 7, 2022:

REPORT – This Catholic school in the northern districts of Marseille, which does not provide catechism lessons, welcomes more than 95% Muslim students.

At first glance, nothing distinguishes “Saint-Jo”, alias Saint-Joseph Viala, from other school groups in La Cabucelle, one of the famous northern districts of Marseille. The establishment may be Catholic, but there is no catechesis, but “interreligious times.” The children, from the toddlers of 2 years to those of third, are more than 95% Muslim, from North African immigration. The same cries resound in the courtyard of the big ones and that of the kindergarten, adjoining. The same buildings, more or less decrepit, rub shoulders with the same prefabs. There is a vegetable garden, like everywhere else, and body awakening sessions in the morning before going to class. The mothers, veiled or not, and the few fathers who accompany the youngest are asked to stay at the door of the establishment, where no one enters without being duly authorized.

Nothing distinguishes Saint-Jo, therefore, except the essential: the parents of some 500 students and the forty teachers did not arrive there by the…

Pope Francis: ‘Immigration reveals the beauty of diversity’~FAILS TO SPEAK ABOUT drug dealers among refugees, criminals, rapists and jihadists

Pope Francis poses for a photo with a group of refugees he invited to join him on the steps of St. Peter's Basilica during his weekly general audience in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican, Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Pope Francis has invited a dozen refugees to join him on …

The Pope has stated that every Christian is “called to reflect God’s gaze towards our migrant and refugee brothers and sisters,” except that he does not differentiate among migrants. Is the pope referring also to drug dealers among refugees, criminals, rapists, and jihadists? All of them have been found to be among the unvetted hordes illegally entering Western countries.

Until the pope dismisses his own security detail and issues an open invitation to his Vatican quarters to all illegal, unvetted economic migrants, he should not be preaching open-door migration.

Last year, Pope Francis asserted that “failure to integrate migrants can create serious problems.” Note how he puts no responsibility on the migrants to integrate, but on the host countries to integrate them. He continued:

“I am always reminded of the tragedy of Zaventem: those who did this were Belgians, but the children of migrants who were not integrated, who were ghettoized. Welcome, accompany, promote and integrate.”

The pope was referring to two suicide bombings that took place at Brussels Airport in Zaventem, Belgium, on March 22, 2016.

He also stated “the conviction that in each of them we encounter the Lord Jesus,” but one should wonder how he would explain such a “conviction” to a parent whose child has been raped, murdered or both by jihadists. Last February, the Pope celebrated “unity in diversity” as Muslim persecution of Christians escalated worldwide. His repeated insensitivity to the vast tally of victims is unconscionable.

Pope Francis: Immigration ‘Reveals the Beauty of Diversity,’” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, October 10, 2022:

ROME — Today every Christian is “called to reflect God’s gaze towards our migrant and refugee brothers and sisters,” Pope Francis declared Monday.

Immigration is a “very important challenge,” the pontiff told a group of pilgrims in the Vatican. “It highlights the urgent need to put fraternity before rejection and solidarity before indifference.”

The pope went on to say that we are called “to live and spread the culture of encounter, an equal encounter between migrants and the people of the country that welcomes them.”

This, he said, “is an enriching experience, as it reveals the beauty of diversity.”

It is also fruitful, he asserted, “because the faith, hope and tenacity of migrants can be an example and a spur for those who want to commit themselves to building a world of peace and well-being for all.”

To increase fraternity and social friendship, “we are all called to be creative, to think outside the box,” Francis proposed. “We are called to open new spaces, where art, music and being together become instruments of intercultural dynamics, where we can savor the richness of the encounter of diversity.”

The pope prayed that his hearers might experience “the joy of being with migrants, of being at their service, and of doing so with faith, animated by the Holy Spirit, in the conviction that in each of them we encounter the Lord Jesus.”……

The Church of Everyone: Why so many Catholics are leaving.

BY WILLIAM KILPATRICK

SEE: https://www.frontpagemag.com/the-church-of-everyone/;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

Pope Francis recently called for a “Church open to everyone.”  Nothing new here.  The Church has always been open to everyone—including sinners.  The Church has always acknowledged that it is “a Church of sinners.”

But when Francis says “open to everyone” he seems to have something else in mind.  Traditionally, when Catholics spoke of a “Church of sinners” it was understood to mean repentant sinners:  people who were sorry for their sins and were trying their best to sin no more.

By contrast, what Francis and other woke/progressive Catholics seem to mean is “proud sinners:” people who are proud of their lifestyle choices and see nothing sinful about them.

Two Catholics that immediately come to mind are Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.  Both seem proud of their pro-abortion stance and if challenged both simply double down on their position.  And both can point to gestures by Francis indicating that he considers them Catholics in good standing.

Francis has praised other prominent abortion advocates including Emma Bonino whom Life Site News refers to as the “notorious Italian abortionist.”  Although Bonino had not only promoted abortion but had also personally performed numerous abortions, Francis referred to her as one of Italy’s “forgotten greats.”

In a recent piece for Front Page, journalist Joseph Hippolito makes the case that Francis has chosen to abandon Catholicism’s historic opposition to abortion in all but name…”  Hippolito argues that abortion is largely “irrelevant” to Francis.

I bring this up because many Catholics—perhaps a majority—have a different view of Francis.  Because of some statements he has made about abortionists being like a “hit man,” they assume he is strongly opposed to abortion.  He is, after all the pope; so, they reason that he is automatically opposed to abortion, same-sex unions, and the LGBT agenda; and is automatically in favor of Church teaching on chastity, marriage, contraception, and so on.

But it just isn’t so, and the best evidence can be found by looking at a list of his appointments over the years.

It’s often said that “personnel is policy.”  In other words, a leader’s policies can best be discerned not by what he says, but by who he hires.  If, for example, the president’s appointments for secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs of Staff were all pacifists, we could safely conclude that the president was also a pacifist.  We could further assume that he would probably pursue a policy of appeasement.

Let’s look at some of Francis’ key appointments.  Hippolito explains that the clearest evidence of Francis’ relative indifference to abortion comes from Cardinal Vincenzo Paglia, the President of the Pontifical Academy for Life.  During a recent television interview, Paglia said the Church had no interest in opposing Italy’s Law 194 which legalizes abortion in the first trimester.  Paglia said that the law represented “a pillar of our social life.”

So, here’s the head of the Pontifical Academy for Life which, as Hippolito points out, was founded by John Paul II “specifically to oppose abortion,” and he thinks Italy’s abortion law is “a pillar of our social life.”

Did Francis know Paglia’s views before he appointed him to the post?  Well, of course, he knew.  Paglia was already notorious for having a billboard-size homoerotic mural painted on the wall of his cathedral.  What’s more, Paglia himself appears in the painting—nude, embracing another man, and surrounded by entangled bodies of both sexes.  One would not need to be very astute to assume that Paglia might not embrace the Church’s stance on abortion—nor the traditional Catholic view of same-sex unions.

Although Francis says he wants a Church that is “open to everyone,” the highest and most influential posts in the Church are not open to everyone.  Increasingly, they seem to be open mainly to prelates who are sympathetic to the LGBT ideology.

This is not to say that LGBT-friendly prelates are themselves involved in sexual activities, but that they are strongly supportive of the LGBT agenda.  With that in mind, here are some of the more prominent LGBT-friendly prelates in the U.S. who Francis has promoted to high positions.

Most recently, Francis elevated San Diego Bishop Robert Mc Elroy to the office of cardinal.  McElroy was the only North American among the 21 churchmen who Francis made cardinals during an August 27 consistory in Rome.  Normally, the office conferred on McElroy would be given to a higher-ranking bishop in a larger diocese.  In this case, that would be Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco.  But Francis passed over Cordileone—most likely as punishment for Cordileone’s having barred Nancy Pelosi from receiving Communion because of her strident pro-abortion stance.

Like Francis, however, McElroy has no problem with pro-abortion politicians receiving Communion. So, Francis gave him the nod.  Another plus for McElroy was his strong support and encouragement of the LGBT community.

Along with his auxiliary bishop John Dolan, Mc Elroy once celebrated a mass for “families of the LGBT community.”  After Holy Communion “Nicole” Murray-Ramirez, a nationally-known drag queen activist was allowed to speak to the congregation from the lectern.  Afterward, Murray-Ramirez presented McElroy and Dolan with a humanitarian award on behalf of an international drag queen organization.

An interesting footnote to all this is that after the LGBT-ing of the Church in San Diego, and shortly after making Mc Elroy a Cardinal, Francis promoted auxiliary bishop Dolan to be the new bishop of Phoenix—one of the largest and fastest-growing dioceses in America.

Indeed, prelates with a record of supporting the LGBT movement tend to end up overseeing some of the nation’s most influential dioceses:  Blaise Cupich became the Cardinal/Archbishop of Chicago, Bishop Joseph Tobin was named Archbishop of Newark (he is now a Cardinal).  And LGBT-friendly Wilton Gregory was given the archdiocese of Washington, D.C.

The Washington, D.C. Archdiocese, by the way, seems to be reserved exclusively for LGBT-friendly bishops.  First, there was the notorious Theodore McCarrick, next was Donald Wuerl, and now Wilton Gregory (it is rumored that Joseph Tobin was also being considered).

Moreover, bishops with the proper LGBT credentials are also often tapped for important international appointments.  For example, in 2019 Blaise Cupich was put in charge of the Vatican summit on clerical sex abuse, despite the fact that Cupich himself has been credibly accused of covering up cases of priestly abuse.

But that sort of thing is no bar to upward mobility in the Francis papacy.  Despite everything that was known about Cardinal Mc Carrick, Francis, upon becoming pope, lifted all restrictions on Mc Carrick and sent him off to China, Iran, and other places as a kind of roving Vatican ambassador.

Moreover, Francis undoubtedly was aware that Bishop Mc Elroy has been credibly accused of covering-up instances of priestly sex abuse—including the rape of a young woman.  And Mc Elroy also covered up the knowledge he had of McCarrick’s history of abuse.

Speaking of Mc Carrick, mention should be made here of Bishop Kevin Farrell who shared an apartment with Mc Carrick for six years in Washington.  In 2016, Francis put the LGBT-friendly prelate in charge of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family, and Life. In 2018, Farrell was appointed head of the World Meeting of Families Conference in Dublin, and he promptly invited LGBT activist Fr. James Martin as a featured speaker. Most recently, Farrell was named by Francis as papal Camerlengo—a position which puts him in charge of the Vatican should Francis die or resign, and also gives him considerable influence over the cardinals’ choice of the next pope.

The next pope?  Would it be rash to assume that he will have a strong sympathy for the LGBT agenda? At this point, it seems rash to assume otherwise

One of Francis's most recent appointments is Portuguese Cardinal Jose Tolentino de Mendonca.  Mendonca was appointed as Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education.  According to Life Site News, “commentators have suggested that de Mendonca’s meteoric rise is due to his alignment with Francis’s ideology, particularly on the subject of LGBT matters.”  Among other things, de Mendonca wrote the introduction to the Portuguese translation of a book by radical Spanish nun, Teresa Forcades, who campaigned for the legalization of abortion and the recognition of same-sex “marriage.”

In a 2016 interview, Mendonca, echoing Francis, said that the Church must be “a place of welcome and mercy.” And he specifically mentions “homosexual persons” and the “remarried.” But how about the unborn? Are they also to be welcomed? And, if so, why does Mendonca praise a radical nun who campaigned for the legalization of abortion?

Francis says he wants the Church to be open to everyone, but his appointments show otherwise. They are not drawn from a broad spectrum of individuals who are representative of the views of a majority of practicing Catholics. Rather, they seem to represent mostly fringe elements in the Church.

How many ordinary Catholics would want a print of Cardinal Paglia’s mural hanging in their living room? How many would want to celebrate a prominent abortionist as one of the country’s “greats”? How many would want to be lectured to during Mass by a nationally-known drag queen activist?

Francis may want everyone to feel welcome in the Church, but he seems oblivious to the fact that a great many Catholics are feeling mighty uncomfortable with the Church he is shaping by his “in-your-face” appointments. According to Rorate Caeli, Cardinal Mendonca “was well known in the Portuguese Church for being the absolutely most fabulous fabuloso of the whole fabulousness.” The Catholic Church is supposed to be “The Church Universal,” but Francis seems intent on turning it into a club for the “fabulosa” and their friends.

In the 1960s and 1970s, the avant-garde in the Church experimented with kitchen table Masses, balloon Masses, clown Masses, and various theological innovations in the hope of bringing more bodies into the Church. Yet, between 1970 and 2021, the number of priests fell from 59,192 to 34,923. Meanwhile, weekly Mass attendance fell from 54.9 percent to 17.3 percent; and infant baptism from 1.089 million to 411,482.  Francis has been pope now for 10 years and there is no evidence that his attempt to revive sixties-style openness has done anything to stanch the flow. The doors to the Church may be open wide, but an alarming number of Catholics are choosing to walk out.

EX-CATHOLIC MIKE GENDRON: A Blasphemous Triad of Betrayal

\

SEE: http://www.proclaimingthegospel.org

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

Blasphemy often occurs when people fail to honor the Lord Jesus Christ with reverence and thanksgiving for all He has done. False teachings and false depictions of the Lord Jesus can also be blasphemous when they deny His finished, all-sufficient work of redemption. Such a blasphemous betrayal of the person and work of Christ keeps people trusting in what they must DO to be saved, instead of what Christ has DONE.
Over 1.3 billion Roman Catholics throughout the world put their trust in an apostate religion that departed from the faith when it began following doctrines of demons. Paul warned, "the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons" (1 Tim. 4:1). We will look at three doctrines of demons taught by the apostate church of Rome that are joined together to provide a safety net for Catholics.
The Demonic Doctrine of Venial Sin
Most people are unaware that Catholicism perpetuates the first lie of Satan with its doctrine of venial sin. In the Garden of Eden, the devil promised Eve she would not die if she disobeyed God. "The serpent said to the woman, 'You surely will not die!' (Gen. 3:4). In the same way, the Catholic clergy deceives its people with the lie that "venial sins" do not cause death, only temporal punishment. Catholics are instructed to accept the temporal punishment of sin as a grace.
Tragically, they are easily deceived because they do not test the uninspired words of men with the inspired Word of God. God's Word declares: "Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all" (James 2:10). Since all sins are committed against an infinitely holy God, His justice demands eternal death (Ezekiel 18:4; Rom. 6:23). The one sin of Adam brought death and condemnation to all men (Rom. 5:12, 18). Consequently, everyone who dies with unforgiven sin will be punished in the eternal fires of hell (Rev. 20:14-15).
The Ungodly Dogma of Purgatory
The satanic doctrine of "venial sins" leads to another cunning lie of the devil called Purgatory where temporal punishment is said to be carried out. Catholics are taught that venial sins must be purified either here on earth, or after death in Purgatory. Those who die imperfectly purified undergo a purification after death, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of God. The Catholic religion refuses to say how long Catholics must suffer in purgatory for their "venial sins." However, they can be removed more expeditiously when Catholic priests offer Eucharistic sacrifices on behalf of the dead. This deception makes Catholics utterly dependent upon their priest while they are living and even after death.
This profane dogma denies the sufficiency of Christ as the one and only Savior who died once, for all sin, for all time (Heb. 10:10, 12, 18). He forgives all transgressions and cancels the sin debt for all believers (Col. 2:13). The purifying fire of purgatory is a diabolical lie that robs Christ of His glory because His precious blood purifies all sin (1 John 1:7). "When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Heb. 1:3). Our great God and Savior Jesus Christ gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice to purify for Himself a people for His own possession (Titus 2:13-14).
The Money Grabbing Lie of Indulgences
The Catholic religion offers a way to expedite removal from Purgatory through indulgences. This represents the third demonic doctrine of this triad of betrayal. The selling of God's forgiveness through indulgences was one of the sparks that ignited the Reformation 505 years ago when this fraudulent lie was exposed. Martin Luther first protested the sale of indulgences in 1517. Yet, the offering of indulgences continues today. In fact, the apostate church condemns with anathema those who maintain the uselessness of indulgences or deny the power of the Church to grant them. The Council of Constance, Canon 28, states: "the pope can grant indulgences for the remission of sins to all Christians who are truly contrite and have confessed, especially to those who make pilgrimages to the holy places and to those contributing to them." The selling of these indulgences, promoted by lies from priests and popes about their efficacy, was a major source of revenue for the building of St. Peter's Basilica.
The Blasphemous Hoax of the Treasury of Merit
Indulgences are obtained from a treasury of merit which includes the merits of Mary and the prayers and good works of the saints, co-mingled with the merits of Christ. In this way, Catholics can attain their own salvation and cooperate in saving their brothers. This devilish fabrication states that there is a link "between those who are expiating their sins in purgatory and those who are still pilgrims on the earth. Between them, there is an abundant exchange of all good things (indulgences)." Catholicism teaches "Through indulgences the faithful can obtain the remission of temporal punishment resulting from sin for themselves and also for the souls in Purgatory." Catholics will never know they are deceived until they are confronted with the truth. God's Word declares: "No man can by any means redeem his brother or give to God a ransom for him. For the redemption of his soul is costly, and he should cease trying forever" (Psalm 49:7-8). Man can never DO what Christ has DONE.
The Need to Repent and Believe the Gospel
Let us love Catholics enough to show them they have betrayed the Lord Jesus by embracing this triad of deceptive heresy. Let us expose and destroy their safety net of purgatory, indulgences and "venial sins" with the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Eph. 6:17). Let us call Catholics everywhere to repent of these lies and believe the glorious Gospel of grace (Mark 1:15). Let us do it all for the glory and honor of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ!
Catholicism Through the Lens of Scripture
The ten-part series produced by American Gospel TV (AGTV) is ready to be released on their network. Evangelist Mike Gendron is featured on each episode and he offers viewers an opportunity to see how the Catholic religion has deceived its people by twisting and distorting the Word of God for the sake of their traditions. The series will equip the Body of Christ to be effective witnesses in this huge mission field. It will also challenge Catholics in their unbelief and encourage them to build their theology on the inspired Word of God instead of the uninspired words of men. The trailer can be viewed here.
The first of the ten episodes can be viewed without a subscription here.
Evangelizing Roman Catholics Effectively
Mike Gendron was a guest on the Covenant Podcast with co-hosts Dewey Novel and Austin McCormick. The three men focused on how to effectively evangelize Roman Catholics, who are trapped in religious deception. Listen to the program here.
Actor Converts to Catholicism While Prepping for Movie About Padre Pio
This story and upcoming movie caught my attention because of my encounter with Padre Pio when I was a young altar boy. My dad was an Army officer stationed in Naples, Italy in 1959. His brother, who was a Catholic priest, came to visit us and said we should go visit Padre Pio. The padre rose to fame when he received the stigmata, which are said to be the wounds experienced by Jesus Christ during the crucifixion. Padre Pio continuously bled from the stigmata wounds without experiencing a fever or loss in blood pressure.
When we arrived at Padre Pio's church, my dad's brother arranged to celebrate the Mass with Padre Pio and I was able to serve as an altar boy. Needless to say, this really strengthened my Catholic faith. However, twenty-three years later, after God delivered me from the bondage of religious deception and gave me a new life in Christ, I read Padre Pio's biography. He said souls from purgatory would stop by on their way to heaven and thank him for suffering on their behalf. Clearly, this never happened since purgatory is as much a fabricated deception as the stigmata. Padre Pio either faked his stigmata, or experienced great signs and wonders by the devil for the purpose of leading people astray (Mat. 24:24).
A movie is now being produced on the life of Padre Pio. Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf said he converted to Roman Catholicism while preparing for his role as Padre Pio. His conversion took place while on a pilgrimage to the Italian town of San Giovanni Rotondo, where Padre Pio, lived for more than half a century. Read more here.
Let us glorify our Lord Jesus Christ by faithfully sharing His glorious Gospel of grace!

‘It is absurd to remove crucifixes from our classrooms, while entire neighborhoods have been taken over by sharia’

Italian politician Giorgia Meloni: “I don’t believe we ought to hide our identity, in order to respect others. Which is what leftists believe. It is paradoxical to remove crucifixes from our classrooms while accepting that entire European neighborhoods have been taken over by Islamic sharia. I don’t get it, honestly.”

“Fatherland is fundamental, Family is fundamental, and religious identity is also fundamental.”

During a debate on an Italian talk show, the leader of the anti-mass immigration party Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy) and a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Giorgia Meloni, defended her party’s support of the famous motto, God, Country, and Family. Italy’s former left-wing Prime Minster, Enrico Letta, believes the concept is outdated. Meloni, however, stressed, “Fatherland is fundamental, Family is fundamental, and religious identity is also fundamental.”

“Look, I consider myself a conservative. Let’s not forget that the motto “God, Fatherland, and Family” was thought up by Mazzini. I don’t think it clashes with modernity. What does that mean? It means to defend an identity, which is the identity of our society, a European identity,” explained Meloni.

She continued, “It means that the family is the founding core of our society, the most important social safety net we have. It means that the fatherland is the identity that brings us together.”

Meloni also spoke of the importance of Christians being proud and open about their identities:

I don’t believe we ought to hide our identity, in order to respect others. Which is what leftists believe. It is paradoxical to remove crucifixes from our classrooms, while accepting that entire European neighborhoods have been taken over by Islamic sharia. I don’t get it, honestly.

The leader, predicted to become Italy’s next prime minister under a new conservative coalition government, reminded the audience that “Christian values have molded our civilization.”

Pope Francis claims that getting vaccinated for covid is an “act of love”

(Natural News) One powerful way to show love for “God” and your fellow man is to get “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19), according to Pope Francis.

New promotional advertising from the Roman Catholic Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development reiterates Pope Francis’ sacrilegious position that rolling up one’s sleeve for an abortion-tainted DNA modification injection is an “act of love” that is divinely inspired and ordained.

With so-called “flu season” soon on the way for the Northern Hemisphere, Pope Francis is once again tying “God” into his push for mass jabbing this fall. The Vatican is currently on its third installment of “The Pandemic and the Magisterium of Pope Francis” propaganda project, which aims to guilt more Catholics into getting shot.

This project, we are told, aims to “explore the Pope’s teachings on the global health crisis, reaffirming that one does not come out of the crisis the same, but either better or worse.” (Related: Pope Francis also loves transgenderism and openly promotes LGBT perversion.)

Reading between the lines, it becomes clear from that description that the plandemic was launched as a social catalyst to drive people either further into the matrix system of pharmaceutical slavery, or out of it completely. Those who rejected the lockdowns, masks, and “vaccines” came out better, in this writer’s view, substantiating Revelation 18:3 which reads:

“Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.”

Remember when Southern Baptist leader Al Mohler told Christians to get jabbed for covid, claiming it was “part of our mandate” from “God?”

The entirety of Revelation 18 talks all about Mystery Babylon, which “is become the habitation of devils,” and its eventual fall. We are witnessing that fall in action right now, though many are unaware it is taking place – including many religious people who still believe their lying popes, pastors and leaders.

False prophets like Pope Francis continue to push people to get injected with the crown jewel of Mystery Babylon’s pharmakeia (pharmaceutical sorcery), also known as covid vaccines, claiming that getting injected is an “act of love.”

Another false prophet we warned you about previously is Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Albert Mohler, who similarly pushed Christians to get jabbed with Fauci Flu shots because the shots are a “successful” example of mankind’s “dominion” over the earth, he claims.

Both Pope Francis and Al Mohler are spreading doctrines of demons while claiming to speak for God. Such blasphemy will not go unpunished, just to be clear, as divine justice awaits these two – and many more like them.

“Being vaccinated with the vaccines authorized by the competent authorities is an act of love,” Pope Francis is seen stating in the latest propaganda video from the Vatican, “and contributing to ensuring the majority of people are vaccinated is an act of love. Love for oneself, love for one’s family and friends, love for all people.”

The “poorest and most vulnerable” should get shot first, Pope Francis further says, while the “richest” are moved to the back of the line.

“It would be sad if this vaccine were to become the property of this nation or another, rather than universal and for all,” Pope Francis further believes about how Chinese Virus shots should be given to everyone for “free.”

Anyone who suggests otherwise, he continued to explain in the video clip, is guilty of spreading “misinformation.” According to Pope Francis, covid injections are our collective salvation, and they are the key to ensuring that we are all “saved together.”

“We will get better if we get better together,” Pope Francis contends.
