President Donald Trump’s administration released around 80,000 pages of previously classified documents pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Tuesday.

With the historic release, President Trump made good on his promise of government transparency after announcing the release on Monday while touring the Kennedy Center.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard also announced the release in a post on X, writing that the files include “no redactions.”

“President Trump is ushering in a new era of maximum transparency. Today, per his direction, previously redacted JFK Assassination Files are being released to the public with no redactions. Promises made, promises kept,” she wrote.

Newly released documents pertaining to to assassination revealed that an intelligence officer, Gary Underhill, was “very agitated” and quickly fled Washington, D.C., the day after Kennedy was shot.

Underhill then spoke with a friend, detailing how a “small clique within the CIA” was responsible for the assassination.

Underhill was then found dead in his apartment six months later, and the coroner ruled his death a suicide.

“The day after the assassination, Gary Underhill left Washington in a hurry. Late in the evening, he showed up at the home of a friend in New Jersey,” the documents stated. “He was very agitated. A small clique within the CIA was responsible for the assassination, he confided, and he was afraid for his life and would probably have to leave the country.”

“Less than six months later, Underhill was found shot to death in his Washington apartment. The coroner ruled it a suicide,” it continued. “The friends whom Underhill visited say he was sober but badly shaken. They say he attributed the Kennedy murder to a CIA clique which was carrying on a lucrative racket in gun-running, narcotics, and other contraband.”

The details of Underhill’s suicide have been questioned since he was found with a gunshot wound behind his left ear, which is an unusual position to commit the act, and Underhill “was right-handed.”

Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Former Marine and defector to the Soviet Union, Lee Harvey Oswald, was arrested and charged with the killing.

President Lyndon B. Johnson established the Warren Commission in 1963, concluding that Oswald acted alone, however the latest documents released challenge that finding.

Additionally, the files also included a letter signed by President Kennedy’s son in 1994, explicitly calling then-Senator Joe Biden a “traitor.”

The letter began, stating “Dear Sen. Biden: You are a traitor…” which was previously released in a previous Freedom of Information Act request and shared on social media as early as 2020.

The FBI previously investigated the letter, however the case was closed in December 1994, with the agency claiming that it did not believe Kennedy was the real author of the letter.

Meanwhile, GOP Representative Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) stated that he believes the release of the files contains “false information.”

“Some of it, of course, is going to be false information that’s in there. Not necessarily placed there falsely, but the information they got that we know later is not truthful. One day it will be this group [responsible], another day it will be that group,” he stated.

“I honestly don’t think we’ll ever really know who pulled the trigger. I have my suspicions, as do a lot of people. I think that America deserves to know.”

President Trump has also vowed to release documents pertaining to the assassinations of former U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Jeffrey Epstein.

Correction, 11:20 a.m. – The correction updates the article from a letter written by Kennedy to a letter written by John F. Kennedy Jr., President Kennedy’s son.

El Salvador has agreed to take in violent U.S. criminals who are currently in jails and prisons. They have also agreed to accept deportees of any nationality.

Monday’s announcement came after U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele during his visit to the nation.

Rubio said the Salvadoran president had “agreed to the most unprecedented, extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world.”

The former Florida Senator said that, in addition to taking deportees, El Salvador had “also offered to do the same for dangerous criminals currently in custody and serving their sentences in the United States, even though they’re U.S. citizens or legal residents.”

He made the announcement when he was visiting El Salvador. He went to the country to help push its government to help meet Trump administration demands for cracking down on immigration.

“President Bukele agreed to take back all Salvadoran MS-13 gang members who are in the United States unlawfully.”

Additionally, Bukele promised to accept and incarcerate violent illegal immigrants, including members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, but also criminal illegal migrants from any country," State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a statement.

“And in an extraordinary gesture never before extended by any country, President Bukele offered to house in his jails dangerous American criminals, including U.S. citizens and legal residents,” Bruce added.

Bruce called it a “tremendously successful meeting that will make both countries stronger, safer, and more prosperous.”

However, it is unclear whether the U.S. government will take up the offer as there are questions around the legality of such moves. Any effort by the Trump administration to deport incarcerated U.S. nationals to another country would face significant legal pushback.

El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center, commonly referred to as CECOT, is the country’s largest and newest prison, with a maximum capacity of 40,000 inmates.

“The fee would be relatively low for the U.S. but significant for us, making our entire prison system sustainable,” he added.

Additionally, the State Department’s travel advisory for El Salvador also warns that those imprisoned in the country face “harsh” prison conditions and zero access to due process.

“Overcrowding constitutes a serious threat to prisoners’ health and lives,” the advisory said. “In many facilities, provisions for sanitation, potable water, ventilation, temperature control, and lighting are inadequate or nonexistent.”

Meanwhile, Trump signed an executive order in January specifically naming MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, citing their “campaigns of violence and terror in the United States and internationally” as threats to “the stability of the international order in the Western Hemisphere.”

The order also included a recommendation that the State Department start the process of designating Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization.

Last Friday, the U.S. special envoy for Latin America Mauricio Claver-Carone alluded to an agreement between the U.S. and El Salvador, saying Tren de Aragua members “will want to go back to Venezuela rather than having to share a prison with Salvadorean gangs like MS-13. That’s part of what we want to discuss and how President Bukele can help us.”

This comes after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said they would push ahead with a massive round of border security measures after crisis talks with President Donald Trump on Monday.

The terrorist group Hamas has released three more hostages as part of its current cease-fire deal with Israel. The hostages that returned home during this release included a U.S. – Israeli dual citizen from North Carolina, a father whose children were captured and released in a 2023 ceasefire-hostage deal, and the father of the youngest hostage.

On Saturday, Yarden Bibas and Ofer Kalderon were released from Hamas’s hands. Two hours later, U.S.-Israeli citizen Keith Siegel was handed over by Hamas.

“Finally, after 484 long, terrifying days and nights, full of immense worry for our father, we can breathe again,” Siegel’s family said in a statement. “Thank you, President Trump, for bringing our father back to us. There are now 79 hostages who are also waiting to be reunited with their loved ones. Our hope rests with you.”

Siegel, who is from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7th, 2023 alongside his wife Aviva. She was released as part of a hostage deal that occurred in November 2023.

His release makes him the first American hostage to be released in the new 42-day truce.

Kalderon, a French-Israeli national, was taken from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz along with his daughter and son. His children, Sahar and Erez, were released in the November 2023 hostage swap.

French President Emmanuel Macron took to X to share his relief that Kalderon was home.

“Ofer Kalderon is free! We share the immense relief and joy of his loved ones after 483 days of unimaginable hell,” Macron wrote. “Our thoughts are with Ohad Yahalom, still in the hands of Hamas, and with his family. France is doing everything it can to secure his release without delay.”

Bibas was taken from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz along with his wife Shiri and the couple’s young children, Ariel, 5, and Kfir. Kfir was nine months old at the time he was kidnapped.

The fate of his beloved family is unknown. The terrorist group stated that Shiri and their two red-headed children died. However, the terrorist group is known for creating mental warfare by lying about hostage deaths.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has made it known that they have “grave concerns about their well-being.”

Under the current cease-fire agreement, Hamas was to free all female hostages first, followed by men over the age of 50 and those considered ill. There are 33 total hostages set to be released in the first phase of the fragile ceasefire deal. Not all of those released will be alive.

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated more candidates for his upcoming cabinet, including Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes.

On Saturday, Trump announced that Nunes was picked as the chairperson of Trump’s Intelligence Advisory Board (IAB).

If confirmed, Nunes will lead the IAB, which advises the president on the legality of foreign intelligence activities.

He also announced IBM executive Troy Edgar as deputy secretary of Homeland Security.

“Troy served for me previously as the Chief Financial Officer and Associate Deputy Under Secretary of Management for Homeland Security, where he did an outstanding job managing their $90 Billion Dollar budget, resourcing critical immigration policy, and funding Wall construction,” Trump said.

“Troy is currently an executive at IBM. He holds an M.B.A. and B.S. of Business Administration from the University of Southern California,” Trump said. “He was previously the Mayor of Los Alamitos, California, where he helped me lead the City and County revolt against Sanctuary Cities in 2018.”

Edgar will serve alongside Governor Kristi Noem (R-S.D), who was tapped as Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Homeland Secretary.

He also stated that Bill White would serve as the U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium.

“Bill is a highly respected businessman, philanthropist, author, and advocate for our Nation’s Military, Veterans, and First Responders. He is the CEO of Constellations Group, and former President of the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum,” Trump said.

“Bill has worked tirelessly to support Great American Patriots who have given everything for our Country by raising over $1.5 Billion Dollars for our fallen heroes, catastrophically wounded, and severely burned Service Members. He is a twice recipient of the Meritorious Public Service Award for extraordinary service from the U.S. Coast Guard, and for outstanding support from the U.S. Navy.”

President-elect Donald Trump wished everyone, including the “Radical Left Lunatics” a Happy Thanksgiving as he vowed to “Make America Great Again” when he takes office.

Trump posted his Thanksgiving message to Truth Social on Thursday.

“Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote. “Don’t worry, our country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!”

Although it was uncertain where the president-elect would spend Thanksgiving this year, he has traditionally celebrated the holiday at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

During Trump’s first term, the estate was often referred to as the “Winter White House.”
