In yet another story purporting to confirm the left’s view of the world, Jana Winter reported in Yahoo News Friday that “the U.S. government is acknowledging for the first time that right-wing extremists were responsible for the majority of fatal domestic terrorist attacks last year, according to an internal report circulated by the Department of Homeland Security last week.” But as you might expect, it’s long on vague assertions and decidedly short on facts.

The report was produced by the Joint Regional Intelligence Center, which Winter describes as “a DHS-funded fusion center,” and was sent out to police nationwide. It claims that civil unrest and violence last year were primarily associated with “non-affiliated, right-wing and left-wing actors,” and that “right-wing [domestic violent extremists] were responsible for the majority of fatal attacks in the Homeland in 2020.”

That wretchedly written statement apparently says that most fatal attacks in the U.S. were perpetrated by both “right-wing and left-wing actors,” and yet “journalist” Winter and the “experts” she quotes all concentrate exclusively on the “right-wing extremism.” And to be sure, the report itself appears to be designed to give the impression that “right-wing extremism” is a genuine and major threat, while quietly admitting that there is a bit of violence on the left.

The Yahoo News report asserts that “this appears to be the first known instance of an official government or law enforcement agency clearly acknowledging the trend, though senior officials have noted the rise in white supremacist attacks.” It isn’t really all that new, however: FBI director Christopher Wray claimed back in September 2017 that “white nationalist” violence was at least as much of a danger to the United States as the Islamic State. But now this claim is being codified as policy. Seth Jones of the Center for Strategic and International Studies states of the new report: “What is a little unusual is that they’ve used terms like ‘right- and left-wing’ in a government document, because the government has generally used other terms. The government in 2020 did try to stay away from ‘right-wing’ terms because they were easily politicized.”

On February 18, 2021 the Washington Post reported, Biden memo for ICE officers points to fewer deportations and strict oversight.

Here is how that news report began:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers will need preapproval from a senior manager before trying to deport anyone who is not a recent border crosser, a national security threat or a criminal offender with an aggravated-felony conviction, according to interim enforcement memo issued by the Biden administration Thursday.

The narrower priorities are expected to result in a steep drop in immigration arrests and deportations. Biden officials said the new guidelines — which will be in effect for the next 90 days — will allow the agency to make better use of its resources while prioritizing public safety threats.

Having spent 26 years as an INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) special agent provides me with a unique perspective that I have provided at numerous congressional hearings and when I provided testimony to the 9/11 Commission.

As I read Biden’s Executive Orders and the various proposals for immigration law changes and massive amnesty programs, I am disheartened and frustrated.  What was the point to the hearings and the 9/11 Commission when the President promulgates policies that not only ignore the 9/11 Commission but actually take America in precisely the opposite direction from where we should be going?

With the stroke of his pen, and without legislation, Biden has profoundly undermined immigration law enforcement.

The DHS (Department of Homeland Security) was created in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks.  The INS which had been under the Justice Department was replaced by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and moved into the DHS.  ICE agents have the same lawful authority to enforce and administer the Immigration and Nationality Act as did agents of the INS and are important elements of what is referred to as the “interior enforcement” of our immigration laws.

Under the law, such agents are empowered to make warrantless arrests of aliens who are illegally present in the United States.  This is important to back up the efforts by the Border Patrol to prevent the un-inspected entry of aliens into the United States and the CBP (Customs and Border Protection) inspectors at ports of entry who admit aliens under various categories of visas.

Any alien who runs the border or violates the terms of his/her entry into the United States should not ever feel confident that they will not be discovered and arrested.  This is important to not only address alien law violators who are present in the United States but to deter foreign nationals who may seek to enter the United States illegally or otherwise violate our immigration laws.

This contributes to the integrity and credibility of our immigration laws and, indeed, all of our laws in general.  It has been said that you only get one opportunity to make a first impression.  Generally, the first laws an alien encounters are our immigration laws.  How we enforce those important laws sets the tone for all that follows.

Aliens who illegally take jobs are subject to deportation.  This is to protect the jobs and wages of American and lawful immigrant workers and is of particular importance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biden’s Executive Order, stripping ICE agents of discretionary authority to arrest illegal aliens they encounter sends a dangerous message to aspiring illegal aliens from around the world- that in America violations of our laws will not only be tolerated but rewarded!

Preventing ICE agents from arresting aliens who are not “recent border crossers” is absurd.  No record of entry is created when aliens enter the United States without inspection.  From a practical standpoint, any illegal alien can now avoid arrest by lying about when he/she ran the border. 

ICE agents would find it virtually impossible to refute such false claims as to the date the alien entered the United States.

The interior enforcement of our immigration laws and immigration fraud was identified by the 9/11 Commission as key issues and, in point of fact, The 9/11 Commission Staff Report on Terrorist Travel addressed these issues.

Page 54 contained this excerpt under the title “3.2 Terrorist Travel Tactics by Plot.”

Although there is evidence that some land and sea border entries (of terrorists) without inspection occurred, these conspirators mainly subverted the legal entry system by entering at airports.

In doing so, they relied on a wide variety of fraudulent documents, on aliases, and on government corruption. Because terrorist operations were not suicide missions in the early to mid-1990s, once in the United States terrorists and their supporters tried to get legal immigration status that would permit them to remain here, primarily by committing serial, or repeated, immigration fraud, by claiming political asylum, and by marrying Americans. Many of these tactics would remain largely unchanged and undetected throughout the 1990s and up to the 9/11 attack.

Thus, abuse of the immigration system and a lack of interior immigration enforcement were unwittingly working together to support terrorist activity. It would remain largely unknown, since no agency of the United States government analyzed terrorist travel patterns until after 9/11. This lack of attention meant that critical opportunities to disrupt terrorist travel and, therefore, deadly terrorist operations were missed.

While I agree that law enforcement has to prioritize actions which get the “most bang for the buck” through the creation of a sort of triage system where violent criminals should be the focus, it is wrongheaded and dangerous to ignore aliens who are not “aggravated felons.”

It is also wrong and dangerous to require ICE agents to provide information to local law enforcement about impending arrests since this presents a potential security problem, especially in “Sanctuary” jurisdictions.

Sleeper agents are foreign terrorists who are careful to not attract anyone's attention. It has been said that effective spies would not attract the attention of a waiter or waitress as a “greasy spoon diner.”  International terrorists operate in the exact same manner, and, in point of fact, spies and terrorists may well work as waiters or waitresses as they go about their deadly and nefarious goals.

Therefore there is no such thing as a “minor case.”

My very first fraud investigation, as a brand-new agent, caused me to trip over a terror plot in Israel.  A young man from Israel arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in the summer of 1976.  He had apparently altered his visa by chaining the date of expiration and the fact that he had already used that visa to enter the U.S. the previous year.  (The visa was valid for one entry and he had changed the number “one” to the number “two.”)   I was instructed to take a statement from him if he was willing to cooperate.  This was supposed to be more of a training exercise for me.  He was going to be sent back to Israel, no matter what he might have to say.

Because of his recalcitrance to answer certain questions, I called the Israeli consulate in New York and they sent over several security officials to interview him.

During the course of interviewing him, I found that his shirt did not fit properly.  I had him remove his shirt and was surprised to find that a pocket was sewn into the inside of his shirt.  The pocket contained a piece of paper with an ink-drawn schematic diagram and Arabic writing.  I handed it over to the Israelis and we were all shocked that the diagram was of an oil refinery in Israel.  He was, we later found out, here to get the money to buy explosives to be used in a terror attack.

My superiors notified the FBI and working with the Israeli National Police six would-be co-conspirators were arrested in Israel just days before the attack was to have been carried out.

Another memorable case involved an alien working in a glass factory in Brooklyn.  He claimed to have been a naturalized citizen.  His story, however, did not add up.  He lied about his name and other facts.  As it turned out, he had been convicted of a homicide years earlier, served time in jail, and was then deported back to his native Belize.  He was arrested when he reentered the United States without permission and was serving a prison sentence in a federal penitentiary for the crime of Reentry After Deportation (8 U.S. Code § 1326) when he escaped from the prison.  He took a job in that factory where we found him.  His boss, the factory’s owner, was shocked; he told me that he actually trusted him to lock up the factory the night when he had to leave early and had invited him to his home for dinner.

Rather than deterring violations of our nation’s immigration laws by aliens, which constitute our first and last line of defense, Biden has singled-handily deterred the enforcement of those vital laws by dedicated ICE agents.

There is an expression used by agents that is worth considering:  “Big cases- big problems, little cases- little problems, no cases- NO PROBLEMS!”

It would appear that a new version of the “Miranda Warning” should be given to ICE agents warning them that anything that they do may be used against them!

Mayor László Toroczkai of Ásotthalom is calling on the Hungarian military to protect his town from “armies” of “military-aged illegal migrants” ransacking and seizing control of citizens farms and homes. The mayor is demanding the government send more military and police forces to his struggling border town.

Migrants occupying citizen’s farms and homes has become a common occurrence according to Mayor Toroczkai. Just recently the mayor filmed his visit to an elderly woman’s farm that had been overrun by 65 dangerous migrants while she was away for the day. When the woman returned home she found an army of illegals had broken into her house, tore down the doors, smashed windows, and taken possession of her property. The migrants had overrun and occupied every room in her home.

The majority of the migrants invading the Hungarian border, declare themselves as Syrian, Libyan, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Moroccan, Tunisian, and Afghan nationals. The Illegal migrants that storm the Hungarian border have been shown to be extremely dangerous and often sharia-adherent with values and ambitions that are in staunch opposition to Western values and laws.

PM Viktor Orbán

Well organized armies of illegals have been attacking Hungarian and other Western European countries for years. Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was the first EU leader to close borders to asylum-seekers in 2015 and has consistently been the one EU leader who has called the migrants exactly what they are — “invaders,” explaining that the women and children are used as props for the media and pointing out that most of the migrants are military aged men who are invading Europe. 

Despite all the efforts to demonize him, Orbán has not wavered, repeating in his State of the Union address last year, that the main task of his government is to preserve Hungary’s security and Christian culture, once again vowing to never allow his Christian country to be changed by illegal invaders, and warning of the “Soros Plan, to settle a foreign population.”

Demographic Impact From Migration

Orbán recently sounded the alarms that by 2050, twenty percent of the European population will be Muslim due to Western Europe’s pursuit of multiculturalism and mass migration. However, Hungary and Central Europe continue to reject the “Soros Plan, to settle a foreign population.”

In Belgium, one third of the country’s population is of foreign origin, and in Brussels, Belgians are already the minority. Within a generation, Sweden’s third largest city, Malmö, will have a population in which the majority of people are of foreign background.

Meanwhile, Democrat Joe Biden has vowed to flood America with 700% more “refugees” from terrorist hotspots around the world through the corrupt U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. 

Hungary’s history, even more than most European nations, has been a struggle for freedom. All within the last century, Hungary has had to fight off the Ottoman Islamic Invasion, the Nazis and the communists all. As a result, Hungarians are generally not fond of the idea of sacrificing themselves to invaders aiming to change societal norms and customs.

Over the last decade, Belgium has changed dramatically. Without any public debate, it has become a massive migration state. Their left-wing government’s open borders migration policies, coupled with the European Union’s policies, (also situated in Brussels, Belgium’s capitol), continue to have catastrophic effects on the country’s safety and demographics.

According to Statbel, the country’s statistical office, in 2020 the most popular names for male babies in over a dozen municipalities throughout Brussels are Islamic, specifically Mohamed, Mohammed, and Ahmed (another form of Mohammad). This name prevalence is the case in the municipalities of Saint-Gilles, Molenbeek, Anderlecht, Schaerbeek, Koekelberg, Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode, Forest, Jette, Berchem Sainte-Agathe, Evere, Ganshoren, and Saint-Gilles, and the city of Brussels.

These newest statistics come just weeks after the government announced that one third of Belgium’s population is now of foreign origin. The largest number of those being of Moroccan descent. Ninety-nine percent of Morocco’s population are Muslims. In Brussels, native or indigenous Belgians are already in the minority, nearly 80% of the population is of foreign origin.

Belgium has become a terrorist breeding ground, the country has the highest per-capita rate of foreign fighters of any Western European country. The small country has even been described by left-wing media as “Europe’s terror hotbed”.

Sneak attack in Neuchâtel. A Swiss woman was sprayed with acid in the underground car park of her apartment. She was first brought to the hospital in Neuchâtel by the emergency services. She then went to the Chuv University Hospital in Lausanne.

The act happened on Thursday morning at 7.53 a.m. at 53 Rue de L’Evole, as the Neuchâtel canton police wrote in a message.

The victim is model Elise T.* (24). “She is a wonderful person,” says a neighbor to lematin.ch. “A lovely girl, very pretty.” A few years ago Elise took part in a beauty contest in western Switzerland.

Neighbor reacted immediately

The woman was first looked after by a neighbor who was startled by the cries for help. The neighbor showered the woman with copious amounts of water while they waited for professional help.

The 24-year-old is not in mortal danger.

Successful major effort

Three hours after the incident, a 19-year-old man living in the region was arrested in the La Maladière district thanks to a large-scale operation. He is in custody.

The suspect is a refugee from Afghanistan, as Georges-André Lozouet, spokesman for the canton police in Neuchâtel, explains at the request of VIEW.

“Athletic” man with a mask or balaclava

“At the moment, I cannot say whether the suspect and the victim know each other and how they relate to one another,” Lozouet continues. “I can’t say anything about the motive either.”

Five people have been seriously injured in acid attacks in London. The picture shows one of the crime scenes in London. According to the police, there is a link between the five attacks.

The police are looking for witnesses who made suspicious observations on Thursday morning in the area of ​​Rue de L’Evole and the Esplanade du Mont-Blanc in connection with an “athletic” man about 170 cm tall with a black mask or balaclava.

Ilhan Omar named Vice-Chair of House subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Global Human Rights

Who will be paying for the much-needed aid and medicine for those around the world? Why, you will, and I will, of course. And what safeguards will Ilhan Omar put into place to make sure that this aid doesn’t fall into the hands of Islamic jihadists, as so much American aid did in the past? What’s that? The question itself is “Islamophobic”?

On Thursday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), announced her new leadership role on a subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee that oversees global health and human rights issues and African foreign affairs.

Omar will serve as Vice-Chair of the subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Global Human Rights. The subcommittee has jurisdiction over disaster assistance, human rights and international health issues, and oversight for the American Red Cross, the Peace Corps, and regional lending institutions.

“Upholding basic human rights around the world is a core priority for me and the Fifth District of Minnesota,” Omar said in a statement. “When we prioritize endless war and conflict over protecting and investing in our communities here at home, we all suffer. As someone who represents a large African diaspora community and the first African-born immigrant to serve in Congress, I am particularly excited to play a leadership role in overseeing our international aid and foreign policy on the continent. Amidst a global pandemic that devastated people’s livelihoods everywhere, it is important to make sure that the most vulnerable in Minnesota and around the world are getting access to much-needed aid and medicine.”

Omar, who is a Somali-born U.S. immigrant, previously served on the Africa, Global Health, and Global Human Rights subcommittee during her first term. Minnesota’s Fifth District covers a large portion of Minneapolis, and the state’s Twin Cities area is home to the largest Somali community in the U.S., according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Omar’s rise to the subcommittee’s vice chair position comes as she has faced criticism for past remarks, including ones in reference to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. In a 2019 speech at a fundraising event for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Omar described the 9/11 terror attacks as “some people did something.” The 9/11 attacks resulted in the deaths of about 3,000 Americans.

Omar’s remarks at the CAIR fundraising event drew criticism from Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) and the son of a woman killed in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Later in 2019, Omar was blocked from entering Israel, a U.S. ally, over her “suspected provocations and promotion of BDS,” a reference to the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Omar has also come under scrutiny for past tweets, including one in which she said, “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”…

British authorities have chosen the future they want for their nation. What is coming for Britain is clear now, and no one there who has any power or influence seems to evince much interest in staving it off.

At the four star Crowne Plaza Hotel overlooking lawns on the outskirts of London, 20-year-old Abdul from the Sudan says he is pleased with his new life here in Britain.

He proclaims proudly: ‘I was given the vaccination yesterday at the hotel to stop me catching Covid. There are 400 migrants living here and we nearly all had it. No one I know refused.’

Tapping his arm to show the site of the injection, he adds in faltering English: ‘It’s important that we don’t catch the virus and get sick.’

Abdul, who slipped into the UK from France seven months ago, seems blissfully unaware that thousands of Britons older than him, or in vulnerable groups, still await the jab – and may not be offered it for several months.

Neither did he seem to realise that he might be accused of using up a precious dose that could protect others – including key workers – higher on the priority list.

Outside the hotel, the Daily Mail talked to ten other migrants from the Sudan and Eritrea who also took part in what they describe as a ‘mass vaccination’ operation on Thursday this week.

Among them were two Sudanese friends aged 27 and 35. The younger man said he was delighted to be offered it: ‘The vaccinations were given to us whatever our age.

‘We didn’t have to pay. We were told to queue up for them at the hotel. None of us want to catch the coronavirus.’

He added: ‘This was the first vaccination and I don’t know which company made it. We will have another one nearer the summer time.’

A Government spokesman last night said it was ‘totally unacceptable’ for the healthy young migrants to be receiving the jabs contrary to guidelines, and that the NHS was taking action to ensure it did not happen again.

The Crowne Plaza, near Heathrow airport, is among scores of hotels across Britain housing migrants who have slipped into the country illegally by lorry from Europe or on a boat from northern France to the south coast.

Many have been put up at the hotel for weeks – or, like Abdul, even months – as they await their asylum claims to be decided. They say the bedrooms are ‘wonderful’ and the English breakfast ‘very good’….

Garriott referenced Scripture and her faith repeatedly while leading a workshop on “Being Political” at the “Faith, Politics and the Common Good” summit convened in Des Moines earlier this month. The summit was hosted by Vote Common Good, an advocacy organization run by progressive Christians, and featured speeches from other clergy-turned-candidates such as Bryan Berghoef, a minister running for Congress in Michigan as a Democrat.

She told RNS she is careful to avoid preaching or regularly engaging in “theological conversation” from the political podium

She also acknowledged that being a religious professional can lead to conversations that focus narrowly on what she called “hot button” issues such as abortion, which she contends is more complicated than “pro-choice or pro-life.” Her campaign website does not list a formal position on the issue, although she has appeared at protests standing with Iowa abortion rights advocates.

The Iowa State Senate opens each daily session with a prayer. On February 8, State Senator Sarah Trone Garriott (D) “shared a prayer” written by one of her constituents who was a Muslim. The prayer was to Allah and included references to a number of Allah’s 99 Names.[1] It is interesting that the Iowa State Senate prayed to the Muslim god Allah, even though there are no Muslim members of that Senate. And it is even more interesting that these state senators bowed their heads in prayer to a god who curses Christians and Jews and condemns them to Hell.

Here is what Allah has to say in the Koran about Christians and Jews:

Allah states that the only religion acceptable to him is Islam (e.g., 3:19 and 3:85); Christians and Jews are disbelievers[2] (e.g. 2:120, 3:99, 3:110, and 5:65), and Jews are among the worst enemies of Muslims (5:82); Allah curses Christians and Jews (9:30) and states that those who believe that Allah had a Son commit the one unforgivable sin in Islam, Shirk[3](e.g. 4:48 and 4:116); Allah states that those who commit Shirk will go to Hell (e.g. 3:151 and 5:72-73); Allah states that Christians and Jews are among the worst of creatures and “will abide in the fire of Hell” (98:6); Allah specifically forbids Muslims from being friends with Christians and Jews (5:51), and instead commands Muslims to fight Christians and Jews (9:29).

Christianity is considered to be a false religion because Allah states that Jesus was not crucified, but it only appeared so (4:157-158). Islam teaches that Allah took Jesus bodily into paradise and made one of Jesus’ disciples look like Jesus; it was that disciple who was crucified. So Muslims who know their religion look at a crucifix or a painting of the Crucifixion and see an imposter hanging on the cross. And of course, if there was no Crucifixion, there was no Resurrection. So Islam teaches that Christianity is a false religion based on a fraud.

According to Koran 4:80, Muhammad spoke for Allah. Here is some of what Muhammad had to say about Christians and Jews:

  1. Christians and Jews will take the place of Muslims in Hell: Abu Burda reported on the authority of his father that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: No Muslim would die but Allah would admit instead of him a Jew or a Christian in Hell-Fire.[4]
  2. Muhammad said that Christians and Jews who remained with their respective religions and did not believe in Islam would go to Hell: It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: By Him in whose hand is the life of Muhammad, he who amongst the community of Jews or Christians hears about me but does not affirm his belief in that with which I have been sent and dies in this state (of disbelief), he shall be but one of the denizens of Hell-Fire.[5]
  3. Muhammad said that Christians and Jews were inferior to Muslims: It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah ruled that the blood money for the People of the Book is half of that of the blood money for the Muslims, and they are the Jews and Christians.[6]
  4. Muhammad said Muslims must not be the first to greet Christians and Jews: Abu Huraira reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) had said: Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to go to the narrowest part of it.[7]
  5. And on his death bed Muhammad had this to say: It has been narrated by ‘Umar b. Al-Khattab that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) saying: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslims.[8]

Here is what Allah’s prophet Muhammad specifically said about Jews:

  1. Kill the Jews: Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allah’s Messenger said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight against the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say, ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.’”[9]
  2. Muhammad said the Jews were grave robbers. Al-Bukhari reported this hadith under the heading of What has been said about Bani Israel: ‘Uqba bin ‘Amir said, “I heard him [Muhammad] saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds).”[10]
  3. Muhammad even said that Jews would be accompanying the anti-Christ: Anas b. Malik reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The antichrist would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isbahan wearing Persian shawls.[11]

This was not the first time the Iowa State Senate had opened a session by praying to Allah. On April 7, 2014, the opening prayer for the Senate that day was given by Des Moines Imam Mohammad Khan. In Arabic Khan recited the first chapter of the Koran – Al-Fatihah (this was confirmed by a native Arabic speaker).[12]

Al-Fatihah consists of only seven verses. Let’s focus on the last two verses. In Verse 6 Muslims ask to be guided to the Straight Way. Allah’s prophet Muhammad said the Straight Way (or Path) was Islam.[13] The modern Tafsir Ahsanul-Bayan explained the meaning of the Straight Path:

The Straight Path here means the religion of Islam as enshrined, enunciated and explained in the final Revelation, the Qur’an, and the authentic sayings and acts of Allah’s Messenger, called hadeeth.[14]

In Verse 7, Muslims then ask not to be guided to the way of those who have earned Allah’s anger or to the way of those who have gone astray. So who are those who have earned the anger of Allah? Allah’s prophet Muhammad said they were the Jews.[15] And who has gone astray? Allah’s prophet Muhammad said that those who had gone astray, or were misguided, were the Christians.[16]

The Muslim scholar Ibn Kathir explained these two deviations from the Straight Way:

These two paths are the paths of the Christians and Jews, a fact that the believer [Muslim] should beware of so that he avoids them. The path of the believers is knowledge of the truth and abiding by it. In comparison, the Jews abandoned practicing the religion, while the Christians lost the true knowledge. This is why ‘anger’ descended upon the Jews, while being described as ‘led astray’ is more appropriate of the Christians…We should also mention that both the Christians and the Jews have earned the anger [of Allah] and are led astray, but the anger is one of the attributes more particular of the Jews.[17]

So Allah is actually angry with both the Jews and Christians!

On two different occasions now the members of the Iowa State Senate have bowed their heads and prayed to Allah, the god of Islam, who curses the Christian and Jewish senators in that body and condemns them to Hell. It takes some thick skin to be a Christian or Jewish elected official in the Iowa State Senate.

The Crusades took place long before, centuries before, the Ku Klux Klan existed. Changing this nickname and mascot is another sign of the acceptance of the idea that Westerners should be ashamed of the Crusades. The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS proves otherwise. It demonstrates from primary sources that the Crusades were not a gratuitous imperialistic venture, but a late and small-scale defensive reaction to 450 years of imperialist jihad aggression that had conquered and Islamized what had been half of the Christian world, and threatened the life of the Christian empire, the Byzantine empire.

The Indiana university announced Thursday that it is ditching the Crusaders nickname, mascot and logos — something that had been adopted and embraced by various hate groups throughout history.

“The negative connotation and violence associated with the Crusader imagery are not reflective of Valpo’s mission and values, which promote a welcoming and inclusive community,” interim president Colette Irwin-Knott said, via The Assocaited [sic] Press. “This is the decision that best reflects our values and community.”

Valparaiso’s student senate and faculty senate each passed resolutions that called for the name change, and the university’s alumni board of directors supported the change, per the report….

The Crusades were a series of wars between Christians and Muslims in the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries used to secure control of holy sites and land in Europe and the Middle East. Various hate groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, have used crusaders symbols and words ever since.

“The Crusader does not [represent the university] effectively,” student president Kaitlyn Steinhiser said, via The Associated Press. “Valpo is and always has been a faith-based institution, and we want to make sure our symbolism is in alignment with our beliefs and speaks to the core values of the Lutheran ethos. At Valpo, we strive to seek truth, serve generously and cultivate hope. We do not believe having the Crusader as our mascot portrays these values.”

The Biden administration on Friday announced plans for tens of thousands of asylum-seekers waiting in Mexico for their next immigration court hearings to be allowed into the United States while their cases proceed.

The first of an estimated 25,000 asylum-seekers in Mexico with active cases will be allowed in the United States on Feb. 19, authorities said. They plan to start slowly with two border crossings each processing up to 300 people a day and a third crossing taking fewer. Administration officials declined to name them out of fear they may encourage a rush of people to those locations.

The move is a major step toward dismantling one of former President Donald Trump's most consequential policies to deter asylum-seekers from coming to the U.S. About 70,000 asylum-seekers were enrolled in “Remain in Mexico,” officially called “Migrant Protection Protocols,” since it was introduced in January 2019.

On Biden's first day in office, the Homeland Security Department suspended the policy for new arrivals. Since then, some asylum-seekers picked up at the border have been released in the U.S. with notices to appear in court.

Biden is quickly making good on a campaign promise to end the policy, which the Trump administration said was critical to reversing a surge of asylum-seekers that peaked in 2019. But the policy also exposed people to violence in Mexican border cities and made it extremely difficult for them to find lawyers and communicate with courts about their cases.

“As President Biden has made clear, the U.S. government is committed to rebuilding a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system,” said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. “This latest action is another step in our commitment to reform immigration policies that do not align with our nation’s values.”

Homeland Security said the move “should not be interpreted as an opening for people to migrate irregularly to the United States.” Administration officials have said repeatedly that the vast majority of people who cross the border illegally are quickly expelled under a public health order in place since the pandemic struck in March, but releases of some asylum-seeking families in Texas and California have worked against that messaging.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday that she was concerned that limited releases in the U.S. may encourage others to cross illegally because “we don’t want people to put themselves in danger at a time where it is not the right time to come, because we have not had time to put in place a humane and moral system and process.”

Hearings for people enrolled in “Remain in Mexico” have been suspended since June due to the pandemic. Getting word out on when to report to the border for release in the United States may prove a daunting job.

Homeland Security said it would soon announce a “virtual registration process” available online and by phone for people to learn where and when they should report. It urged asylum-seekers not to report to the border unless instructed.

Asylum-seekers will be tested for COVID-19 before entering the U.S.

The announcement provides no relief to people whose cases were dismissed or denied, though administration officials did not rule out additional measures. Advocates argue that communication problems, including lack of working addresses in Mexico, caused some to miss hearings and lose their cases as a result.

More people are getting stopped crossing the border illegally since Biden took office.

Raul Ortiz, deputy chief of the Border Patrol, said Tuesday that more than 3,000 people had been stopped crossing the border illegally in each of the previous 10 days, compared to a daily average of 2,426 in January.

About 50 to 80 adults and children have been arriving daily since Jan. 27 at Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, which temporarily houses people released by the Border Patrol, said Sister Norma Pimentel, the group’s executive director. The charity tests for COVID-19 and sends anyone who tests positive to a hotel for isolation.

Jewish Family Service of San Diego housed 191 asylum-seekers the first 10 days of February after they were released by U.S. authorities, up from 144 in January and 54 in December, said Eitan Peled, the group’s border services advocate. They are quarantined in hotels for 10 days.

 

Universities get billions from Islamic entities, Biden drops rule forcing revelation of cash from propaganda centers

Meanwhile, universities reported receiving $3.1 billion from Qatar and more than $1.1 billion from Saudi Arabia, and that’s just what was reported: “Federal law requires schools to disclose substantial foreign gifts and contracts to the Department of Education (DOE) twice a year. Many have for years failed to do so, while others severely underreported the income.”

With the Muslim Brotherhood, the Wahhabis, and others pumping billions into America’s universities, it’s easy to see why so many Americans, and young people in particular, see “Islamophobia” as a genuine threat and jihad violence and Sharia oppression as fictional constructs of an alleged “hate industry.” The propaganda is skillful and relentless. Then on top of that is the propaganda from China, as detailed here. All this is why the fog of misinformation and disinformation is so thick these days, it’s hard to see three feet ahead.

The Trump administration attempted to enact a policy that would force American universities to reveal cooperation with chapters of the Confucius Institute. President Joe Biden quietly revoked the policy a few days after his inauguration.

Axios reported that in the final days of his presidency, Trump enacted a policy that would compel primary, secondary, and postsecondary institutions to disclose all contracts and transactions with the Confucius Institute. Under the policy, schools that do not report information would lose certification for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program.

Records from the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs revealed that Biden nixed the policy on January 26.  A spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to Campus Reform that the policy was rescinded.

Seth Cropsey — director of the Center for American Seapower at the Hudson Institute — told Campus Reform that the policy could be part of the Biden administration recalibrating on Sino-American relations. However, he said hopes that the new administration is not trying to “placate China.”

He expressed hope that the Biden administration is not trying to “make overtures… that make it sound as though the United States is unaware or uninterested in their military buildup, their aggression against neighbors, their militarization of the South China Sea, and their successful efforts to steal intellectual property.”

In terms of Confucius Institutes, Cropsey remarked that it is “not normal practice, and for good reason — namely, academic independence and freedom — to allow an outside organization… to say nothing of a country that is a strategic competitor to the United States, to be able to choose professors in a program… within a university.”…

COVID-19 Relief Bill Stalled Over Payments to Illegal Aliens

A trillion or two dollars in the COVID-19 relief bill has been stalled by Senate Democrats insisting on payments to illegal aliens, while millions of Americans remain unnecessarily unemployed and hopeless.

POLITICO reports that Democrats are “split” as “progressives rage” in their effort to send more borrowed money to illegal aliens.

“Split” might be putting it all too nicely.

Whatever the case, it took two POLITICO infotainment writers, Burgess Everett and Marriane Levine, to come up with this awful paragraph:

An effort to restrict stimulus checks to undocumented immigrants is blowing a hole in Democrats’ unity in the Biden era, after a bloc of Democrats sided with Republicans over their more progressive colleagues last week. The immigration status of those seeking new stimulus payments is shaping up as a major point of contention among Democrats as the House and Senate write their coronavirus relief bills, presaging the tough fights ahead among the party’s tight majorities in Congress on a politically volatile issue.

The effort is to restrict stimulus checks from illegal aliens, not to them, and “undocumented immigrants” isn’t the correct legal terminology.

Whatever.

Eight Senate Democrats supported an amendment to the Senate’s budget during last week’s marathon vote-a-rama that would prohibit undocumented immigrants from receiving checks, a cast that includes the No. 4 Democratic leader Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), the chair of the party’s campaign arm Gary Peters (D-Mich.) and senators up for reelection.

Democrats are stuck between two rocks and one hard place.

The first rock is economic reality: We’ve been slowly approaching the death spiral of deficit spending for a long time, but the unnecessary COVID-19 lockdowns have caused Washington to accelerate the pace like Thelma and Louise staring at the Grand Canyon.

The second rock is political reality: The American people, after nearly a year of economic (and emotional) depression, are in no mood to extend our unsustainable largess to people who aren’t even supposed to be here today.

The hard place is the Democrats’ ascendant Progressive wing, which never met a means of fostering racial strife it didn’t like.

Like? Hell, they’re making out in the nightclub bathroom 15 minutes after meeting.

So the faux-moderate Dems like Stabenow and Peters face an unpalatable choice.

They can side with the party’s radicals — and piss off huge swathes of the American electorate while simultaneously speeding us ever-faster towards economic collapse. You and/or your neighbors might be wondering how to make next month’s rent, or whether your favorite restaurant can stay in business another week operating at a measly 25% capacity. But the “caring” progressive wing of the Democrat Party doesn’t seem to care, unless “undocumented immigrants” get a little document worth $1,400 we don’t have.

Or, those faux-moderate Democrats can negotiate a more modest relief bill with the Republicans on the other side of the aisle — and endure years of shrieking from the Woke Wing and their enablers in the mainstream media.

The Twitteratti are going to have an emo rage fit if they don’t get their way.

If I had to guess, the faux-moderate Democrats might just fold to the Woke Wing. In recent years (and maybe not-so-recently), they seem to consider more what is said inside the Beltway and on social media, than they do what their own constituents have to say.

On the other hand, giving government benefits to non-taxpayers is highly unpopular, even amongst voters with more laissez-faire attitudes towards illegal immigration.

So who knows, really, what will happen — or how long millions of hurting Americans will have to wait.

I do know one thing, though. No matter what happens, there are few things more thrilling than hot Blue-on-Blue action.

Tucker Carlson blasted the Biden Administration Monday for mandating COVID tests for anyone entering America, EXCEPT for illegal aliens.

Carlson labeled the policy an ‘act of aggression’, and accused Biden of ‘punishing’ Americans by releasing migrants into the country without testing them.

“Tonight we learned that the Joe Biden administration is releasing thousands of foreign nationals living here illegally into American neighborhoods without bothering to test them for the coronavirus,” Carlson announced.

Tucker noted that the White House Press Secretary couldn’t answer basic questions about the policy last week, before citing warnings about the policy by both Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, as well as Leon Wilmos, the sheriff of Yuma County, Arizona.

The New York Times, Reuters and others reported last week on the CBP releasing hundreds of migrants into Texas and California owing to ‘overflow facilities’ already being full.

Less than one month into Biden’s Presidency, there is already a new ‘border crisis’, according to officials, with facilities unable to hold or test migrants.

“When we release people that break our laws without bothering to test them for the virus – the same virus we’ve used as a pretext for wrecking your life – what we’re saying in the clearest possible terms [is]: “We don’t like you,”‘ Carlson said, of the Biden Administration.

He continued, “This isn’t a policy. It’s an act of aggression. It’s designed to humiliate you and demoralize you. Reckless, nondestructive immigration policy is the penalty or paying for your white supremacy.”

Carlson then introduced the sheriff of Jackson County, Texas, A.J. Louderback, who warned that it is ‘absolutely true’ that foreign nationals are being released into the US without a coronavirus test.

‘The memo that I received this last week – it’s basically “defund ICE” by memo, by memorandum,” Louderback said, adding “This is a particularly devastating document for Texans and Americans. The message has been sent. It’s a message to the world that you can come here illegally, commit crimes here and remain here illegally.”

“The covid issue is conveniently overlooked during this time,” Louderback continued, urging that “every peace officer in the United States should be extremely concerned about the  attitude, the lawlessness, the complete, abject removal of law.”

“We have a nullification of the law going on here. We’re not going to enforce anything,” the sheriff further warned.

On Tuesday, Alejandro “Ali” Nicholas Mayorkas was sworn in as Director of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the newly-installed Joe Biden. Mayorkas, who was born in Cuba, has been referred to as the “chief architect” of former President Obama’s amnesty plan known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

This, on the same day Joe Biden signed three new executive orders reversing President Trump’s immigration policies. As reported at RAIR, Joe Biden intends on increasing the number of “refugees” by 700 percent.

Mayorkas has engaged in cronyism for his entire career, protecting those in positions of power. For example, Alejandro Mayorkas was infamously involved in the Clinton-era pardon of the drug-trafficking son of Democrat donor Horacio Vignali. Along that vein, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also criticized the new swamp leader:

“As a high-ranking official in the Obama administration, Mr. Mayorkas did his best to turn US Citizenship and Immigration Services into an unethical favor factory for Democratic Party royalty — governors, the DNC chair, Hollywood executives, a Senate majority leader from Nevada, they all received special treatment to a degree that stunned and disturbed the Obama administration’s own inspector general.”

Mayorkas vowed to “end construction of the Mexico border wall in accordance with Biden’s directive, even though Congress in December approved $1.4 billion in new funds for the project,” as reported at the New York Post. Mayorkas continued to say that he will look into what can be done with the wall that has already been built, signaling that the newly installed lunatics in the federal government would actively remove the border wall.

The White House tweeted about the Mayorkas appointment last month, which featured a list of pro-amnesty endorsers (see video below), including big unions United Farm Workers, SEIU and AFL-CIO, as well as radical groups such as the Soros-Funded UnidosUS (formerly National Council of La Raza), the Coalition for the American Dream, and Community Change.

The U.S. Senate just confirmed Denis McDonough to be the new Secretary of the Veterans Administration.

McDonough has a long history of openly supporting jihadis while in public office.

The counter-terrorism policies and strategies created under his watch as Deputy National Security Advisor and Chief of Staff under President Obama demonstrate his overt support for individuals and entities who openly call for the overthrow of the U.S. government and the destruction of liberty and innocent life.

McDonough’s seditious and unlawful actions are unprecedented in their brazenness and blatant violation of his oath and the law.

For instance, as the Deputy National Security Advisor to President Obama, McDonough went to the Muslim Brotherhood’s mosque, the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) in Sterling, Virginia with senior U.S. leaders including FBI, DHS, NSC, etc to PRAISE its imam.

The ADAMS Center imam is Mohamed Magid, a Muslim Brotherhood leader.

While the globalists succeeded in ousting President Trump, there are signs that patriotic French leader Marine Le Pen could trump the establishment in her nation’s presidential election next year. In fact, following some anti-Islamization proposals, she enjoys her highest-ever poll ratings — almost on par with incumbent president Emmanuel Macron.

Le Pen proposed a ban on Muslim headscarves in all public places on Friday, seeking to build on a record recent poll putting her almost neck-and-neck with President Emmanuel Macron.

The hijab policy … saw the 53-year-old return to a familiar campaign theme 15 months from the country’s 2022 presidential election.

“I consider that the headscarf is an Islamist item of clothing,” Le Pen told reporters at a press conference where she proposed a new law to ban “Islamist ideologies” which she called “totalitarian and murderous.”

Since taking over France’s main … [patriotic] party from her father, Le Pen has run twice for the French presidency, losing badly in 2017 to political newcomer Macron in a defeat that she took months to recover from.

But recent polling shows her closer than ever to her ultimate prize and has led to a rash of new speculation about whether the anti-EU, anti-immigration populist could finally enter the Elysee Palace.

… The poll conducted online by Harris Interactive suggested that if a final-round presidential run-off were held today Le Pen would garner 48 percent while Macron would be re-elected with 52 percent, Le Parisien newspaper reported.

The truth is that whether Le Pen prevails or not, she and her anti-immigrationist fellows, and harsh reality, have already moved France’s “Overton Window” as it relates to Islam and immigration.

As Jihad Watch reported Wednesday, “Le Pen has long been the target of the worst elements of globalism as she sought to restrict France’s suicidal immigration policy that saw crime rates skyrocket and no-go zones appear in France, as well as violent Islamic antisemitism. But ever since the beheading of teacher Samuel Paty, French citizens and leaders alike have been shaken to the core.”

Paty was brutally murdered last October 16 by an 18-year-old Muslim Russian migrant of Chechen extraction, who decapitated the teacher in the street with a cleaver. It was a calculated assassination occurring after Paty had shown his students Charlie Hebdo’s 2012 “prophet” Muhammad cartoons in a class on freedom of expression.

So with the shifting political winds, even President Macron — once a member of his nation’s Socialist Party — “has cracked down on jihad preaching and the mosques where that teaching takes place, and has continued to do so in defiance of charges of ‘Islamophobia,’” Jihad Watch also informs. Politically speaking, Macron may have no choice.

But the French people will have a choice to make next presidential election, and one of those choices’ rise is panicking the European Union, reports the Express. For as a German MEP put it to the paper, Le Pen’s election would “put a stop to the process towards an ever closer union [with the EU].”

Le Pen’s ascendancy, however, is fueled by a looming disunion — in France. That is, the Islamization caused by multiculturalist and immigrationist policies is so severe that a French “intellectual” and author named Christian de Moliner actually suggested that his country essentially be divided to avoid civil war with Muslims.

Writing in 2017, de Moliner stated that the Franco-Islamic “war in France is just beginning” and that we “can never put the toothpaste back in the tube and convert the 30 percent of Muslims who demand the introduction of sharia to … our democracy.” His solution?

Create what essentially would be a quasi-Sharia state within France, where Muslims who so choose could live by the Koran. 

Now you see why Le Pen and her National Rally party have been gaining popularity.

But can she win? First, it seems likely that just as President Trump did in 2016 — and as politically incorrect figures and proposals tend to — she may be under-polling. Voters are often reluctant to reveal such support to pollsters in today’s “woke,” cancel-culture environment.

Another factor works against Le Pen, however. I’ve often cited credible research showing that GoogTwitFace (Big Tech) can shift up to 15 million votes toward leftists in an American election. Yet the Big Tech Cartel is effecting such manipulation all over the West (and beyond). France is no exception.

Given this, I don’t see Le Pen winning unless some seismic events occur before the 2022 election, such as, for example, a series of tragic terrorist attacks combined with lockdown-induced economic upheaval.

Lamentably and paralleling what happened in our 2020 election, burgeoning Big Tech could very well bust French culture.

US Border Patrol Arrests Group of Eleven Iranian Citizens Crossing Illegally From Mexico

United States Customs and Border Protection has arrested a group of 11 Iranian citizens illegally crossing the US-Mexico border, according to a CBP statement Wednesday.

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents encountered the group, which included six men and five women from Iran, on Monday evening near San Luis, Arizona, in the southwest part of the state.

“The primary mission of the Border Patrol is to prevent nefarious people and devices from entering the United States,” the statement said. “Iran is a designated Special Interest Country and the agents of Yuma Sector work diligently to protect our borders for the safety of our nation.”

The “Special Interest” designation has included other state sponsors of terrorism like Afghanistan and Syria, and border apprehensions of nationals from those countries represent a small fraction of overall apprehensions.

The Yuma Sector Border Patrol arrested eight Iranian nationals in fiscal year 2020, the statement said, out of a total of 22 apprehended agency-wide.

Biden Reinstitutes ‘Catch and Release’ Along Texas-Mexico Border, Inviting Chaos and Disaster

Texas law enforcement authorities said that, with little fanfare, the Biden administration has reimposed the “catch and release” policy of releasing illegal aliens into the United States while they await their immigration proceedings.

The U.S. Customs and Border protection told local authorities of the coming changes last week.

Before being released, each illegal must be tested for the coronavirus. Charity organizations and illegal immigration advocates are scrambling to try and test the border-jumpers as quickly as possible so they can be released into their new homes.

Border Report:

McAllen Mayor Jim Darling on Tuesday told Border Report that city officials met with U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials, who told them last week that family units — undocumented migrants traveling with children who cross into South Texas — are now being paroled into the United States as they await their asylum proceedings. This is what occurred during previous border security apprehensions known as “catch and release,” when migrants were allowed to remain in the United States during their immigration proceedings however many years that may take.

Biden on Tuesday also ordered a top-to-bottom review of the Trump administration’s Migrant Protection Protocols program, also known as “Remain in Mexico,” by his newly confirmed Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. Nearly 70,000 migrants seeking asylum since 2019 have been forced to remain in Mexico or other countries during their U.S. immigration hearing process under MPP.

Ending the MPP program invites unmitigated disaster. The migrant wave is building across the region as hope is kindled that Joe Biden will not only allow them into the United States but grant them amnesty and give them green cards to work.

There will be no order to the migration. U.S. authorities won’t be able to control it. Once they start coming, they’re not going to stop unless someone keeps them from coming. That’s what the MPP policy accomplished.

Ending it would result in chaos:

Darling said that adult migrants traveling with children who were apprehended illegally crossing the Rio Grande into South Texas were being released by U.S. Border Patrol agents at the bus station in downtown McAllen. After release, city officials are immediately taking the migrants across the street to the Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley’s Humanitarian Respite Center, where they are receiving a free COVID-19 test. Once cleared by the tests, the migrants are boarding buses bound for cities elsewhere with the promise of appearing for scheduled U.S. immigration court hearings.

“They are doing testing at the Respite Center before they get on buses,” Darling said. “We also have reached out to Greyhound and are working to get more buses because we expect a jump in numbers.”

The Biden administration is telling people to wait. A lot of good that will do. Trump’s deals with Mexico and Honduras are the only things standing in the way of a humanitarian disaster. Biden risks derailing his immigration plan before it even starts if he looks to end those deals.

Maintaining those agreements won’t sit well with his radical base that’s already celebrating the end of several Trump immigration policies. They won’t stop until the U.S. borders are imaginary lines on a map with no meaning and no purpose.

Former CIA top dog Robert Grenier: We should hunt down pro-Trump Americans as we hunted down al-Qaeda members

That means Grenier doesn’t just want to destroy Trump (as he explains in the section not reproduced below) and hunt down those who actually committed crimes at the Capitol. He wants to crush legitimate political dissent and hunt down Americans who oppose the far-Left agenda as if they were terrorists. This has been a long time coming. But only now is it being repeated at the highest levels by people with power and influence.

When it comes to domestic extremists such as those who stormed the Capitol, a longtime CIA officer argues that the U.S. should treat them as an insurgency.

That means using counterinsurgency tactics — similar in some ways to those used in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Robert Grenier served as the CIA’s station chief for Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2001. He went on to become the CIA’s Iraq mission manager and then director of the CIA Counterterrorism Center from 2004 to 2006.

“We may be witnessing the dawn of a sustained wave of violent insurgency within our own country, perpetrated by our own countrymen,” Grenier wrote in The New York Times last week. And without national action, he argues, “extremists who seek a social apocalypse … are capable of producing endemic political violence of a sort not seen in this country since Reconstruction.”

In an interview with All Things Considered, Grenier discusses what that national action would mean.

As someone who has watched many violent insurgencies unfold in various countries around the world, what felt the same to you? What felt different?

I don’t want to be one to suggest that somehow the United States is going to in any way resemble Iraq or Afghanistan at the height of violence. But what I think is useful is to have some way of thinking about the problem and thinking through the elements of the solution. So I think as in any insurgency situation, you have committed insurgents who are typically a relatively small proportion of the affected population. But what enables them to carry forward their program is a large number of people from whom they can draw tacit support. And that’s what I’m primarily concerned with here. I think what is most important is that we drive a wedge between those violent individuals and the people who may otherwise see them as reflecting their interests and fighting on their behalf….

You were station chief in Islamabad on 9/11, which meant it suddenly became your problem to find and kill or capture Osama bin Laden and other senior al-Qaida leaders. Without comparing American citizens to al-Qaida, are there lessons that you take from that?

Yes. And that is that, you know, even at the seeming height of the crisis immediately after 9/11, there really weren’t that many members of al-Qaida in Afghanistan. And the thrust of our campaign there was, yes, to hunt down al-Qaida, but primarily to remove the supportive environment in which they were able to live and to flourish. And that meant fighting the Taliban. And I think that is the heart of what we need to deal with here. Hunting down people who are criminals, that is something that which U.S. law enforcement is very well capable of doing and doing while preserving fundamental civil rights. That’s in some ways the easiest part of the problem. The difficult part of the problem is affecting the environment within which violent elements otherwise would be able to thrive.

The poll conducted online by Harris Interactive suggested that if a final-round presidential run-off were held today Le Pen would garner 48 percent while Macron would be re-elected with 52 percent, Le Parisien newspaper reported.

“It’s a poll, it’s a snapshot of a moment, but what it shows is that the idea of me winning is credible, plausible even,” Le Pen said at the Friday press conference.

The prospect of a tight race set off alarm bells in the French political mainstream as the dual health and economic crises caused by the coronavirus pandemic sweep across the country.

“It’s the highest she has ever been at,” said Jean-Yves Camus, a French political scientist specialised in the far-right, while adding that it was “too early to take the polls at face value”….

Mike's Comment: If the pope understood God's Word, he would realize that all unbelievers are already united in a common bond as brothers and sisters. Those who have not been made alive in Christ are children of the devil and sons of disobedience (Eph. 2:1-2). The apostle John wrote: “It is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God" (1 John 3:10). The Lord Jesus made this clear when He rebuked a group of apostate religious leaders saying, “You are of your father the devil” (John 8:44).
The pope's push for a one-world religion will meet little resistance after the rapture of the church when the Lord Jesus returns to take all born-again Christians home to heaven (1 Thes. 4:16-17). The people left behind will be those described by the pope: "brothers and sisters who pray according to other cultures, other traditions and other beliefs." The global religion will include all who dwell on the earth and they will worship a false Christ (Rev. 13:8).

Pope Francis extended his “cordial good wishes and the assurance of my prayers” to pro-abortion U.S. President Joe Biden, a man who claims to be Catholic while backing pro-abortion, anti-family, and pro-LGBT policies. Biden supports abortion “under any circumstance". He marked the 48th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion with a pledge to make sure that “everyone” who wants it has access to killing their preborn children.
The Pope prayed that Biden’s decisions “will be guided by a concern for building a society marked by authentic justice and freedom, together with unfailing respect for the rights and dignity of every person, especially the poor, the vulnerable and those who have no voice.” At no point did the Pope call upon Biden to show concern for the hundreds of thousands of preborn babies who are killed by abortion each year in America. The Pope’s message (read full message below) comes after the Vatican ordered the U.S. bishops’ conference (USCCB) to hold back a statement that was to have been released this morning that called attention to Biden’s pledge to pursue policies that would advance “moral evils” in the areas of “abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender.”

Sources in the Vatican told The Pillar that the statement was, in the words of The Pillar, “spiked after intervention from the Vatican Secretariat of State, hours before it was due to be released.”

That statement is, however, now available on the USCCB website, although it is not listed among the regular news articles.

The “Statement on the Inauguration of Joseph R. Biden” was penned by conference president Archbishop José Gomez. Noting that Biden is the country’s “first president in 60 years to profess the Catholic faith,” Gomez pointed out that the incoming president’s agenda does not square with Catholic teaching.

“So, I must point out that our new President has pledged to pursue certain policies that would advance moral evils and threaten human life and dignity, most seriously in the areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender. Of deep concern is the liberty of the Church and the freedom of believers to live according to their consciences,” he wrote.

Gomez stressed in the statement that abortion will remain the “preeminent priority” for American bishops during the Biden administration.

“For the nation’s bishops, the continued injustice of abortion remains the ‘preeminent priority.’ Preeminent does not mean ‘only.’ We have deep concerns about many threats to human life and dignity in our society. But as Pope Francis teaches, we cannot stay silent when nearly a million unborn lives are being cast aside in our country year after year through abortion,” he wrote.

According to The Pillar, sources familiar with the situation said there was, in the words of The Pillar,  “concern in the Vatican that a statement from Gomez seen as critical of the Biden administration might seem to force the pope’s hand in his own dealings with Biden.”

While Pope Francis has been a vocal critic of former U.S. President Donald Trump and his policies (see for example here, here, and here), he appears to have a more accommodating relationship with Biden, a man who claims to be Catholic while supporting unrestricted abortion.

Biden related last month how he and the Pope had talked on the phone after the November 3 presidential election and how the Holy Father had extended “blessings and congratulations.” In a short press statement released on the Biden-Harris transition website, Biden “thanked His Holiness for extending blessings and congratulations and noted his appreciation for His Holiness’ leadership in promoting peace, reconciliation, and the common bonds of humanity around the world.”

Last month, the Pope included in a tweet the words “build back better,” a phrase that is central to Joe Biden’s plan to remake America in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
