Most Americans might think U.S. Customs and Border Protection works at ports of entry and protects the border of this country.

CBP.gov says agents aren’t just the “guardians of our Nation’s borders.” They “safeguard the American homeland at and beyond our borders.”

Until Joe Biden was elected president, they likely didn’t think “beyond our borders” meant they would work to manage the borders of other countries.

But alas, that must explain why CBP seeks volunteers to fly across the Atlantic to manage the influx of Ukrainian refugees into Poland.

Agents can’t handle the illegal-alien invasion at our own border with Mexico, yet Kyiv Joe will send them overseas to handle border trouble in Europe.

Americans can be forgiven if they think POTUS 46 has completely lost his marbles.

“Operation Ukraine Support”

“For the second time in a year, the Biden administration is seeking to divert Customs and Border Protection officers from the southern border crisis to an overseas conflict, this time to help process people fleeing the Russian assault on Ukraine,” John Solomon reported at Just The News.

Solomon obtained an internal memo that explains “Operation Ukraine Support”:

“The Office of Field Operations is seeking volunteers to assist with the possible evacuation of U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and their immediate family members from Ukraine,” the memo sent to field operations executives said.

“Eligible employees who volunteer for this situation may be selected to serve a temporary duty assignment in Poland to facilitate travelers for entry into the U.S., to include providing guidance and problems resolution to other government agencies.”

If an agent volunteers, he must be “ready to deploy ‘within 2-3 days of selection and should plan for about a month’s work overseas.”

Volunteers must provide a negative test for the China Virus, and either be vaccinated or have natural immunity from infection.

And agents can expect to be worked to death handling the influx of Ukrainian refugees: 

“Once deployed employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and may be required to work irregular shifts and schedules, up to seven days per week including holidays and weekends,” the memo cautioned, offering volunteers overtime pay.

At the U.S. Border With Mexico

Whether Kyiv Joe will conscript border agents for the duty if an insufficient number of agents volunteer we don’t know.

We do know what’s happening at the border with Mexico, where those agents are needed. And we do what Biden has done since he took office. He opened the border and declared that he would not enforce U.S. immigration law. Central Americans got the invitation and marched north in droves.

The latest from the border CBP is supposed to protect is shocking. Some 220,000 illegals have slipped past border agents since October 1, the beginning of fiscal 2022. 

As well, Biden and his Homeland Security secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, have released almost more than 250,000 to disappear into the country since October.

Total loose in the country just in the last few months: Nearly 500,000.

Also since October, border agents have handled almost 700,000 “migrants,” either captured when they jumped the border or landed at ports of entry.

Since February 1, the first full month of Biden’s presidency, agents have handled more than 2.1 million illegals.

Solomon observed that “Operation Ukraine Support” is the second such deployment of agents desperately needed in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California.

During his disastrous pullout of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, he also sent them to Afghanistan to process Afghan refugees, at least 50 of whom, because “poor Defense Department” vetting, were major security risks. Biden ordered U.S. officials on the ground to pack planes with as many Afghans as possible, vetting regardless. Rape, sexual assault, and child sex abuse have been the result.

Biden isn’t likely to hire more agents to police the U.S. frontier with Mexico given his administration’s main priority: bring in as many illegal aliens as possible to become Democrat voters and cement permanent power for the radical left.

New DHS Memo Lists ‘Misinformation’ as Terror Threat, Calls Vaccine Skeptics ‘Domestic Violent Extremists’

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently released their latest terrorism threat bulletin in which the department warns against “the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.” The bulletin, which was issued on Monday, blamed an “online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis-, dis- and mal-information introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors.”

“These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence,” reads the bulletin. The DHS also warned that “misinformation” could lead to “mass casualty attacks.”

The DHS listed “widespread online proliferation of false or misleading narratives regarding unsubstantiated widespread election fraud and COVID-19,” as two sources of what they call “MDM”, or misinformation. “Grievances associated with these themes inspired violent extremist attacks during 2021,” the memo continued, failing to provide examples. The memo further stated that loosening of COVID restrictions could lead to violent attacks. “COVID-19 mitigation measures—particularly COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates—have been used by domestic violent extremists to justify violence since 2020 and could continue to inspire these extremists to target government, healthcare, and academic institutions that they associate with those measures.”

The Biden regime has garnered a reputation for labelling dissent as terrorism and using federal law enforcement agencies to persecute dissidents. In November, Merrick Garland announced his intent to use federal law enforcement to monitor and potentially persecute parents opposed to CRT-themed curriculum and vaccine mandates, who had been peacefully voicing their displeasure at school board meetings across the country. Garland, at the behest of the National School Boards Association (NSBA), announced the formation of a counter terrorism task force in order to monitor dissident parents.  Garland did so while claiming the existence of terrorist threats while also failing to provide evidence or examples.

In January, the Biden regime announced the formation of a new “domestic terrorism task force” designed to confront “anti-authority ideologies.” The new task force was later mentioned in the response section of the new DHS memo. The department also said they will continue to work with “public and private sector partners, as well as foreign counterparts, to identify and evaluate [misinformation], including false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories spread on social media and other online platforms that endorse or could inspire violence.”

Nowhere in the memo does the DHS list examples of violence committed by mentioned groups or subscribers to listed ideologies.

Learning that President Biden and Cuban visa fraudster Alejandro Mayorkas, the Homeland Security secretary, wouldn’t deport illegal alien sex fiends, killers, and other criminals was bad enough.

And Mayorkas again promised not to enforce immigration law last week.

But now we learn that the Biden Regime is actually importing criminals. And dumping them into American towns and cities.

So the regime will not only pursue The Great Replacement of the American people, but also move it along with dangerous thugs.

Dope Fiends, Drunk Drivers Welcome

And the imported “criminals” aren’t just shoplifters and petty thieves who needed a hand up, or a loaf of bread and a bottle of water to make it through the day. They are hardened, dangerous criminals who will, in the end, rob, rape, and murder Americans.

“An [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] source tells me the agency has been releasing some illegal immigrants with misdemeanor criminal histories, including assault, DUI, drug possession, & illegal re-entry,” Melguin tweeted with the video. “ICE did not deny [it] when I asked, telling me all releases are on a ‘case by case’ basis.”

So “case-by-case,” Biden and Mayorkas want your town’s new residents to include drunk drivers, dope fiends, and violent thugs.

The video shows at least 50 single adult illegals simply dropped at a parking lot in Brownsville, Texas. The men had ankle monitors and they covered their faces. And yet another of the ubiquitous leftists who toil for non-governmental agencies led them.

“The source said the reporting only scratches the surface and that the mass releases have been happening discretely since February, that ICE fugitive operations teams are essentially nonexistent, and that ICE Enforcement and Removal Operation (ERO) has become what the source called an ‘unofficial travel coordination agency,’” Melugin reported:

“Between [releases] and the vaccine mandate the morale is at the lowest,” the source said. “Imagine going to the office to make phone calls all day to coordinate travel for someone who just came in illegally, some of them with criminal records.”…

The ICE source told Fox that the agency is now releasing migrants with misdemeanor crimes such as assault, DUI, drug possession and illegal re-entry, and only withholding those with serious felonies.

Better yet, taxpayers get the bill, Melugin continued.

“We make contact with the family members and ask them for an address and to please buy a ticket (bus or plane),” the ICE source told him. “If they don’t, then the NGO buys the ticket and bills the government.”

Flights to New York

Fox also revealed that Biden and Mayorkas are dumping illegals in Westchester, New York.

Leaked video shows migrants being transported on secret charter flights under the cover of night from southern border states to Westchester, New York. 

“‘The government is betraying the American people,’ a federal contractor told a Westchester County police officer in a conversation recorded on the officer’s body camera on the tarmac of a Westchester airport on Aug. 13, 2021,” Fox reported. 

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino obtained the footage through a records request, although reports about the flights were published in the New York Post in October.

“Our government is completely out of control right now. They have lied to us. They’ve lied to the American people,” Astorino told Fox Talker Tucker Carlson. Astorino, a Republican, is running for governor of the failed and corrupt state:

Astorino said he personally saw the migrants being put on a bus to a Costco, where they were “then released into cars into the community.”

The video is clear: The Biden Regime is waging a demographic war on Americans. And Westchester cops knew nothing about the dumping.

“You’re on a secure facility here; we really don’t know anything and we’re in charge of security,” Westchester Police Sergeant Michael Hamborsky told one of the contractors:

“This is anti all our security stuff,” Hamborsky said.… 

“I’m just trying to figure out what’s what, who’s who and how I’m supposed to keep this secure,” Hamborsky told the contractors.… 

“We’re not allowed to have our picture taken when we get on base,” one contractor told the officer as they began showing him lanyards around their necks. 

“Un-f–king-believable,” Hamborsky responded. “And who’s that by? DHS [Department of Homeland Security]?”

“Yes, and the United States Army,” the contractor responded. “You’re on a federal installation but DHS wants everything on the down low.”

Another contractor told Hamborsky: “Listen, my thing is I like to comply but technically we’re not supposed to show IDs or anything. Like I said, everything is supposed to be hush hush.”

The contractors also confessed why the government wants the subversion flights kept secret. “Look who’s in office. That’s why, come on,” the contractor told Hamborsky: 

“But what’s the big secret?” the cop asked. 

“You know why. Because if this gets out, the government is betraying the American people,” the contractor said. 

Biden and Mayorkas, again, have proudly said they will not enforce immigration law.

ATTORNEY GENERAL Garland Ignores Vital Immigration Law Enforcement Crippling national security and public safety.

Rampant violent crime across the United States, particularly in cities and states run by radical leftist mayors and governors is of great concern to Americans everywhere and is an outgrowth of the insanity of the defund police movement and “criminal justice reform” which has led to violent criminals being released without bail causing carnage at unprecedented levels.

Perhaps in response to this crisis, on January 21, 2022, the Department of Justice issued a press release:  Attorney General Merrick B. Garland Delivers Remarks at the U.S. Conference of Mayors that provided a transcript of his remarks as they were delivered.

It is important that, as you read the transcript, to remember that the Attorney General of the United States is also the chief law enforcement officer of the United States.  Many federal law enforcement agencies operate under the aegis of the Justice Department but even those agencies that operate under the auspices of other agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security, and the Treasury Department still rely on the federal prosecutors of the Justice Department they partner with to further criminal investigations and prosecutions for all crimes comprehended under federal statutes.

Violations of federal criminal laws are prosecuted by federal prosecutors who are assigned to the U.S. Attorney’s offices located across the United States.

Federal prosecutors are not, however, required to accept the prosecution of all cases that are presented to them by federal agents.  Because of limited resources and political considerations, federal prosecutors have far-ranging discretion in deciding whether or not to pursue criminal charges in the cases that are brought to them.

U.S. Attorneys are beholden to the “marching orders” issued by the Attorney General for whom they all work.

This brings us back to Attorney General Garland’s prepared remarks and a particular worrisome excerpt:

Keeping our country safe and the American people safe is a core priority of the United States Department of Justice. A critical part of keeping our country safe is protecting it from foreign and domestic terrorism.

These are dangers that Justice Department law enforcement components work against all day, every day. And as I have said, they are dangers that we work against together with our state and local partners, without whom we cannot succeed.

Another important part of keeping our country safe is working alongside all of you to protect our communities from violent crime, particularly the scourge of gun violence.

At the Justice Department, we stand shoulder to shoulder with you in the fight against violent crime, and we will use every tool at our disposal to protect our communities.

Last year, the department launched a comprehensive anti-violent crime strategy aimed at harnessing our resources of every relevant component in the department, including our United States Attorneys' Offices, our litigating divisions, all of our law enforcement agencies, and our grantmaking offices.

Recognizing the importance of anti-violent crime strategies that are tailored to individual communities, we directed each United States Attorney’s Office to work with its state and local partners to address the crime problem in those communities.

As a result, the FBI, ATF, DEA, and U.S. Marshals Service partnered with state and local agencies and police departments to embed agents in homicide units, confiscate illegal firearms, disrupt violent drug trafficking, and provide other support where needed.

That very last paragraph is beyond shocking.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the immigration law enforcement elements of that federal leviathan are conspicuously absent from the Attorney General’s statement which included the threats posed by international terrorists even as he enumerated many other federal agencies.

The Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) has always included immigration law enforcement officers.  In point of fact, the 9/11 Commission, to which I provided testimony, made it abundantly clear that the 9/11 terror attacks and other such attacks, were only possible because of multiple failures of the immigration system.

A variety of other task forces have also traditionally included immigration law enforcement personnel.

Other law enforcement efforts are largely duplicated by local and state law enforcement agencies however, the enforcement of the immigration laws including the deportation (removal) of illegal aliens is unique to the DHS.

We will consider the findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission shortly, but first I want you to know that in writing my article today I am calling upon my extensive real-world experiences as an INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) special agent.

I was the first INS agent assigned to the Unified Intelligence Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in New York City.  I worked closely with the DEA, FBI, local and state police, and a variety of law enforcement agencies both within the United States and even foreign governments.

That assignment lasted for about four years whereupon I was promoted to the position of Senior Special Agent and assigned to the Organized Crime, Drug Enforcement Task Force.  Once again, I was assigned to various other federal agencies to provide my unique authority and expertise as an INS agent to assist in conducting investigations and subsequent prosecution of large-scale narcotics trafficking organizations.

There are a variety of crimes that pertain specifically to aliens who commit serious crimes in the United States that are uniquely pursued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  Among these crimes are:

8 U.S. Code § 1326 (Reentry of aliens who were previously removed from the United States)- which carries a maximum of 20 years in prison for aliens who are deemed to be “aggravated felons.”

8 U.S. Code § 1324 (Bringing in and harboring certain aliens).

18 U.S. Code § 1546 (Fraud and misuse of visas, permits, and other documents) can carry up to 25 years in prison when such crime is committed in conjunction with terrorism.

18 U.S. Code § 922 (Unlawful acts concerning firearms and ammunition) the following subsection addresses possession of firearms or ammunition by illegal aliens:

(5)who, being an alien—

(A)is illegally or unlawfully in the United States; or

(B)except as provided in subsection (y)(2), has been admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa (as that term is defined in section 101(a)(26) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(26)));

Additionally, the removal (deportation) of aliens helps to combat recidivism.  Criminal aliens who are no longer in the United States cannot carry out crimes in the United States.

Nevertheless, the Biden administration has gutted both border security and the enforcement of our immigration laws from within the interior of the United States.  Garland’s omission of immigration law enforcement from the efforts to help combat violent crime was clearly consistent with the policies of the Biden Administration.

Transnational gangs are running rampantly across the United States, frequently profiting by their involvement in the drug trade which has caused the deaths of tens of thousands of victims in the United States.

Gang violence causes many additional deaths- frequently within the ethnic immigrant communities where these criminals, from all over the world, now operate with impunity particularly in so-called “Sanctuary Cities” and “Sanctuary States.”

The preface of the official report 9/11 and  Terrorist Travel - Staff Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States began with the following paragraph:

It is perhaps obvious to state that terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in the United States if they are unable to enter the country. Yet prior to September 11, while there were efforts to enhance border security, no agency of the U.S. government thought of border security as a tool in the counterterrorism arsenal. Indeed, even after 19 hijackers demonstrated the relative ease of obtaining a U.S. visa and gaining admission into the United States, border security still is not considered a cornerstone of national security policy. We believe, for reasons we discuss in the following pages, that it must be made one.

Border security is national security, but perhaps the most overlooked element of immigration law enforcement is the enforcement of our immigration laws from within the interior of the United States. 

Page 54 of the above-cited report contained this excerpt under the title “3.2 Terrorist Travel Tactics by Plot.”

“…once in the United States terrorists and their supporters tried to get legal immigration status that would permit them to remain here, primarily by committing serial, or repeated, immigration fraud, by claiming political asylum, and by marrying Americans. Many of these tactics would remain largely unchanged and undetected throughout the 1990s and up to the 9/11 attack.”

Thus, abuse of the immigration system and a lack of interior immigration enforcement were unwittingly working together to support terrorist activity. It would remain largely unknown since no agency of the United States government analyzed terrorist travel patterns until after 9/11. This lack of attention meant that critical opportunities to disrupt terrorist travel and, therefore, deadly terrorist operations were missed.

I included that statement in my prepared testimony when, on March 10, 2005, I testified before a hearing conducted by the House Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Claims on the topic,  Interior Immigration Enforcement Resources.

Advice for Garland, Biden and Mayorkas: as I noted in my prepared testimony for a hearing conducted by the Senate Judiciary Committee on July 12, 2006, “A nation without secure borders can no more stand than can a house without walls.”

1.9 Million Migrants Apprehended Along Southwest Border, 500,000 ‘Got Away’

Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 1.9 million migrants who illegally crossed the southwest border with Mexico between ports of entry during 2021. Another estimated half-million migrants managed to avoid apprehension and sneak into the U.S.

Unofficial numbers indicate that Border Patrol agents assigned to the nine southwest border sectors apprehended approximately 1,929,000 migrants who illegally crossed between ports of entry in 2021. Official U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reports revealed that agents apprehended 1,773,674 migrants through the first 11 months of the year. A source operating under the umbrella of CBP told Breitbart Texas that, with three days to go, agents apprehended approximately 156,000 migrants in December to date.

In addition to the apprehension of migrants, officials disclosed to Breitbart that a minimum 428,000 migrants are reported as “got aways.” The known got-away count is updated daily by the Border Patrol, according to the source. The data is entered into a system of record easily accessible to agency leaders. The metric is usually not released by DHS. The estimate is achieved by counting migrants who ultimately escape apprehension after being observed by aircraft and camera systems. Agents also use traditional sign-cutting techniques to identify footprints.

Agents previously told Breitbart the numbers of got aways are likely much higher this year because of the constant flow of migrants being apprehended along the southern border impedes the agency’s ability to adequately patrol miles of the border. The absence of routine patrols is driving the got-away numbers up as there are no available Border Patrol agents to respond to electronic sensors, camera activations, and unmanned aerial surveillance sightings.

Combining the actual apprehension totals and the got aways, nearly 2.4 million migrants illegally crossed the border between ports of entry this year.

DHS’ Mayorkas Says He’s Working with Social Media Giants to Circumvent Freedom of Speech

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed Tuesday that he is working with the social media giants to combat “misinformation,” which all too often recently has come to mean “dissent from the establishment political and media line.” What about the First Amendment? They’re working on ways to get around it.

Brad Stone, senior executive editor for Bloomberg News, asked Mayorkas if he considered “misinformation” a “part of your mandate at DHS, and how much resources are you devoting to fighting misinformation such as election falsehoods or Covid disinformation?”

Mayorkas responded: “I think that’s very much within, uh, our domain, uh, misinformation, uh, pointedly, disinformation has very serious and significant ramifications for homeland security. The integrity of our election system, the security of our election system is a prime example of that. And so, um, our office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans under Rob Silver’s leadership, CISA [Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency] under Jen Easterly’s leadership, uh, John Cohen leading, uh, the office of intelligence and analysis, uh, in an acting capacity, Samantha Winograd, a senior counselor to the Secretary and our Acting Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism, these are individuals very much involved in their respective workforces, very much involved in addressing misinformation, disinformation, and the threats that they pose to the homeland.”

Instead of pressing Mayorkas about how these officials distinguished what was actual misinformation or disinformation from what was claimed to be by hyper-partisans, Stone lobbed Mayorkas a softball: “I, I know you’ve been doin’ this a long time. Personally, do you ever get, um, you know, or — do you ever get upset by just the ubiquity of falsehoods and misinformation — and myth —- in our public dialogue these days, and, and the ease with which they’re transported across social media and the Internet?

Speaking very slowly and deliberately, Mayorkas answered: “I, um, I do. I, I think that, uh, false narratives present a threat to our security. The propagation of false narratives is something to be condemned. Uh, we need our leaders, uh, to step up and fight against it, yeah, because the words of leaders, you know, they matter quite a bit. They can be very influential in the public discourse. You know, uh, the Department of Homeland Security, our, our work, uh, rests often at the epicenter of the country’s divide, and the country’s divide is something that has security, um, implications, and is also very saddening. You know, last week, uh, I was privileged to attend a memorial service, ahem, for Bob Dole, uh, one of our nation’s great leaders and great public servants, uh, and, um, heroes. And then — it spoke of a different time. It spoke of a time when, uh, people could disagree on policy and still work together in the service of a country that we all love. And, um, I, and so many others are working to renew that day.”

How is Mayorkas working to bring back those halcyon days of national unity and mutual respect? By restricting our First Amendment freedom of speech rights, of course. Stone asked him: “And when you talk about leaders who should be held to a higher standard, do you include, uh, Silicon Valley and other technology CEOs? Would you like to see private industry do more to combat misinformation?”

Mayorkas was reassuring: “So, um, uh, I think they’re very committed to, to doing so. I had, uh, very robust discussions, uh, with individuals. You know, the how-to-accomplish-it is something that is not easily navigated. We recognize that. Uh, the First Amendment, uh, concerns are extraordinarily important. It’s a founding principle of our country. I think they’re very dedicated to doing so. And I think the how-to and how-we-can-work-together-with-them is not so facile, and I think we’re all working, uh, through it.”

So Mayorkas is working with Big Tech on ways to circumvent the First Amendment in order to counter what they consider to be “misinformation.” They have to circumvent the First Amendment to do this because the First Amendment has no provision for gagging those who spread “misinformation.” It assumes that misinformation will be defeated by the truth on an even playing field and the idea of self-appointed guardians of the truth censoring what they consider to be falsehood is exactly what the Founding Fathers wanted to avoid articulating the First Amendment in the first place.

Mayorkas’ words were reminiscent of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s notorious remarks at a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in 2011. Clinton claimed that “in the United States, I will admit, there are people who still feel vulnerable or marginalized as a result of their religious beliefs. And we have seen how the incendiary actions of just a very few people, a handful in a country of nearly 300 million, can create wide ripples of intolerance.” She blamed this on the freedom of speech: “We also understand that, for 235 years, freedom of expression has been a universal right at the core of our democracy.” But she had a solution: “So we are focused on promoting interfaith education and collaboration, enforcing anti-discrimination laws, protecting the rights of all people to worship as they choose, and to use some old-fashioned techniques of peer pressure and shaming so that people don’t feel that they have the support to do what we abhor.”

Clinton recommended using “peer pressure and shaming” to keep people from saying what she didn’t want them to say, and given the Left’s promiscuous use of charges of “racism” and “bigotry” against even the mildest dissenting word, it’s hard not to conclude that her recommendation has been heeded. And now Alejandro Mayorkas is working with the social media behemoths to neutralize the freedom of speech in other ways. It is striking how often Democrat officials turn out to be enemies of this most fundamental and important of freedoms, while establishment Republicans stand by indifferent as they work to destroy it.

A new bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security took effect Thursday, and notes that “the Homeland continues to face a diverse and challenging threat environment.” Hey, that’s great news! The terror threat is now officially “diverse” — that’s a good thing, right? Diversity is our strength! The diversity, in this case, includes both “domestic violent extremists and those inspired or motivated by foreign terrorists and other malign foreign influences,” but it’s clear that the feds are mostly concerned about those domestic violent extremists. As USA Today noted in its report on the new DHS bulletin, “In September, FBI Director Christopher Wray referred to the rising domestic terror threat, telling a Senate committee that domestic terror cases had more than doubled since early 2020.” Sure they have. But is this because there are more domestic terror cases, or because the feds are now aggressively looking for some in order to validate their claims?

The DHS bulletin warned of the possibility of terror attacks in the coming weeks, as “several religious holidays and associated mass gatherings” are now approaching “that in the past have served as potential targets for acts of violence.” At the same time, however, officials conceded that intelligence agencies have not found any “imminent and credible threat to a specific location in the United States.”

The threats they’re really worried about are those that supposedly come from alleged right-wing extremists who are enraged at Biden’s handlers’ gallop toward authoritarianism: “The ongoing global pandemic continues to exacerbate these threats, in part due to perceived government overreach in implementation of public health safety measures.”

Oh yeah, there are jihadis around as well: “Further, foreign terrorist organizations and (domestic violent extremists) continue to attempt to inspire potential followers to conduct attacks in the United States, including by exploiting recent events in Afghanistan.” This is because al Qaeda and ISIS “celebrated perceived victories over the United States and encouraged the use of violence by their followers and supporters to further their objectives. These foreign terrorist organizations will likely continue to maintain a highly visible online presence in an attempt to inspire U.S.-based individuals to engage in violent activity.”

The part about jihadis possibly plotting to strike inside the United States is certainly true, and there is an abundant attestation to that from the open and unapologetic words of the jihadis themselves. But the clear implication of the DHS bulletin—that the threat the jihadis pose to the U.S. is secondary to a terror threat from Americans who are angry at the federal government’s outrageous overreach in the months that Joe Biden has pretended to be president of the United States—is as baseless as it is ominous.

Biden’s handlers, and even Old Joe himself, have repeatedly warned about a “white supremacist” terror threat that is supposedly the greatest threat the nation faces today. The only thing this scenario lacks is actual white supremacist terrorists. And so they have to be invented. Old Joe and the establishment media defamed Kyle Rittenhouse as a white supremacist last year, doing everything they could to make him fit their ridiculous myth of violent, racist, right-wing fanatics menacing the good and decent spiritual descendants of the soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy, the fine young men, and women of Antifa.

And it isn’t just Rittenhouse. Virtually everyone who dissents from the Leftist agenda is a “white supremacist” and/or a “violent extremist” these days – even me. A few months ago, the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT), an organization created by Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube to police terrorism on the Internet, bizarrely designated my organization Jihad Watch a “violent extremist” group, despite the fact that pretty much all we do is type, and report on jihad activity in the U.S. and around the world. In response to a letter from my attorney demanding a retraction, the GIFCT refused to back down. Those who designated Jihad Watch as a “violent extremist” group explained that we reported on violent activity – terrorist bombings, murders, etc. – and that this in some way “dehumanized” Muslims.

How we did this was left unexplained; it would have been impossible to explain, as it is absurd on its face. The response to my attorney’s letter was essentially the increasingly common Leftist argument that speech that dissents from its party line is violence, and hence must be shut down.

So that’s that, at least for now. When I hear the DHS warning about a rise in the number of “domestic violent extremists,” now I know why: because ordinary, law-abiding Americans who utter inconvenient truths are being smeared with this label. And remember: if they can do it to me, they can do it to you. Remember also: it won’t stop with labeling.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signaled this week on Tucker Carlson Tonight that his office is looking at ways to combat the federal government’s program of bringing illegal aliens into the Sunshine State via plane — including by denying state contacts to the companies that facilitate the flood of border-crossers.

Per the governor’s office, over 70 flights landed in the Jacksonville Airport from the southern border.

The federal government’s actions have stirred controversy, particularly in light of the recently publicized murder of a father of four in Florida who was murdered by an illegal alien flown into Florida under Biden’s policy.

In October, Yery Noel Medina Ulloa was arrested in Jacksonville and charged with murdering Francisco Javier Cuellar. DeSantis’ office called the crime “horrific,” saying that it showed the precariousness of “unfettered illegal migration.”

“If Biden had not been doing that, if he’d been doing his job, that individual would be alive today,” DeSantis said.

The Florida governor told Carlson that the Biden flights arrive at “one or two or three in the morning.” He added that the flights were “unannounced” and he was not given notice and thus has no ability to veto the flights.

“The feds, of course, control the airspace and they’re there on the ground. They take these folks and then they send them to other parts of Florida by bus or other parts of the southeast,” DeSantis said.

Although the federal government has jurisdiction over airspace, DeSantis is committed to fighting the flights.

“We’re looking at what we can do. I think that they use these private contractors. So what we’re looking at is how can we fight back against the contractors? We can obviously deny them state contracts, which we will do. Can we deny them access to Florida’s market generally? Can we tax them? Can we do things to provide disincentives so they can’t do it? So we’re going to do whatever we can to do it,” he added. 

“But we are going to go after some of these contractors because they are bringing in people that are causing burdens on us and, as we’ve said, tragically caused someone to lose their life.”

Joe Biden’s stance on immigration has differed drastically from Donald Trump’s. The COVID-19 outbreak is now being used as grounds for carrying out attrition of U.S. border patrol.

According to an internal report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP), more than half of Border Patrol personnel may be terminated for failure to get the COVID-19 vaccine. This would leave just 8,000 officers on duty.

The report notes that “in the worst-case scenario, agents who have not reported their status have done so because they refuse to take the jab, and so they will be terminated (scenario 3). In that case, net attrition could exceed 11,523 agents, leaving a mere 8,013 border agents on patrol.”

If the approximately 10,000 Border Patrol agents who have yet to register their vaccination status do not do so this week, they will be offered counseling, then suspension, then termination.

All this comes despite the fact that the illegal aliens coming into the country without permission are not required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be granted entry.

The Biden White House’s refusal to enforce existing immigration law has prompted states in addition to Florida to take action. Notably, the attorneys general of Texas and Missouri have partnered to sue the federal government in order to compel it to complete the border wall started under the Trump administration.

This week, the two AG’s filed a preliminary injunction seeking an immediate ruling. They argue that because Congress already specifically appropriated $3.8 billion toward the construction of the border wall, Biden’s decision to not go through with the project is a violation of the separation of powers and the Take Care clause of the Constitution.

The surge of illegal aliens across the border is unlikely to decrease under Biden. Mexican officials are expressing concern that over 125,000 Haitian migrants are anticipated to reach their country by the end of the year, with the majority of those arrivals destined for the U.S. border.

The U.S. Border Patrol has already surpassed the total number of migrant apprehensions made in any year along the southwest border since the agency’s creation in 1924. According to a source, the figure has reached 1,646,000 for the year.

On Sunday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, a Republican, told Fox News that the situation at the U.S. Southern border with Mexico has deteriorated to the point where “aggressive” Mexican cartels feel emboldened to fire on National Guard troops patrolling the area for illegal immigrants. Abbott further stated that the Biden administration has “abandoned” the people living on the U.S. side of the border.

Abbott made the comments on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

“I have to tell you there’s something that’s happening that’s getting even worse and that’s the cartels are getting even more aggressive and the cartels on the Mexican side of the border, they’re beginning to open fire on the National Guard that Texas has down on the border to secure the border,” Abbott said. “This is escalating into a firing war on each side of the border where Texas and our National Guard are having to defend themselves and defend the state of Texas.”

While much of the focus on the border situation in Texas has been focused on the Del Rio area in the past few weeks, where thousands of Haitian refugees are looking to cross illegally into the United States, Abbott said that approximately 60 miles south of there is where Mexican cartels are waging undeclared war on America.

“Right now the hottest point is in Roma, Texas,” Abbott explained. “That’s the area where the cartels on the Mexican side of the border are shooting at the National Guard on the Texas side of the border. And so what Texas is having to do, we’re having to step up and guard multiple points across the entire border.”

On October 8, Fox News released video footage of suspected cartel members firing multiple rounds across the border into the United States. National Guard troops have reported several incidents of cartel members standing across the Rio Grande River and taunting them.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden’s “border czar,” Vice President Kamala Harris, is producing cringe-worthy videos for NASA, visiting Lake Mead in Nevada to discuss climate change, and stumping for her Democrat colleague Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia governor race.

Nobody is saying that a vice president can’t do more than one thing at a time but, apparently, Vice President Harris has never heard of prioritizing. If Harris has even mentioned the border crisis in the past several weeks, she’s hiding it extremely well. Never has a government official placed in charge of an issue been as absent in dealing with the issue as Kamala Harris regarding the U.S. border.

It’s no small wonder that the people of South Texas — many of whom vote Democrat — feel completely abandoned by the Biden administration.

“The Biden administration has completely abandoned all the people who live on the border, and they’ve abandoned people in the state of Texas,” Abbott said. “These are counties and these are people who traditionally have voted Democrat that the Biden administration is ignoring, and he’s putting them in danger.”

In late September, Laredo, Texas, mayor Pete Saenz — a Democrat — complained that the federal government had basically abandoned their responsibility on the border and that things were far better under the Trump administration.

“We need to truly secure the border,” Saenz told the Washington Free Beacon. “It was working under Trump, call it whatever you want to call it, but it was working.”

Abbott agreed. The border was far more secure under the previous administration. “Listen, a year ago, of course, was still during the Trump administration and the Trump administration had put in place all the policies that led it to the greatest reduction in cross-border crossings,” Abbott said. “Now we’re seeing the highest number of cross-border crossings and it’s all because of the catastrophic open border policies by the Biden administration and we’re seeing more and more people come in.”

Last week, a federal judge ordered the Biden administration to reinstate the Trump policy of “Remain in Mexico” — a policy that required asylum seekers to remain in Mexico until their asylum hearings in the United States. Administration officials have said that a return to that Trump-era policy will occur “sometime in mid-November,” assuming Mexico agrees to it.

It’s something — but it’s nowhere near enough, and a federal judge had to order it. Cartels are literally firing on Americans, and the Biden administration doesn’t care. Instead, this administration is openly encouraging illegal immigration and siding with the cartels who enable it.

Last week, PJ Media covered the hysterical and threatening letter written by National School Boards Association (NSBA) president Viola Garcia. In the letter sent to none other than President Joe Biden, Garcia accused America’s concerned parents of threats, intimidation, and even “hate crimes” rising to the level of “domestic terrorism” for having the gall to speak up at their local school board meetings. The NSBA also requested “federal assistance to stop threats and acts of violence against school board members, school officials, and teachers.”

This week, however, the leaders of almost two dozen parent organizations fired back with a scathing letter of their own—and it is epic. The letter, written on behalf of members of several parent organizations, made clear that the NSBA’s claims of  “hate” and “terrorism” were shameful:

NSBA cites a tiny number of minor incidents in order to insinuate that parents who are criticizing and protesting the decisions of school boards are engaging in, or may be engaging in, “domestic terrorism and hate crimes.” NSBA even invokes the PATRIOT Act. The association of legitimate protest with terrorism and violence reveals both your contempt for parents and your unwillingness to understand and hear the sincere cries of parents on behalf of their children. To equate parents with terrorists dishonors the thousands of victims of actual terrorism around the world. Have you no shame?

The parent organizations pointed out that the NSBA’s call for the federal government to use its power against parents was in itself a menacing and “thinly veiled threat, intended to intimidate into silence and submission the very constituents that [the NSBA] members ostensibly represent.” I mean, what else would you call asking the president to sic the Department of Justice, the FBI, Homeland Security, the Secret Service Assessment Center, and the Postal Service on America’s parents?

By contrast, America’s parent organizations “unequivocally oppose violence” and are made up of, not “domestic terrorists,” but “concerned citizens who care deeply about their community’s children – and who are concerned by the direction that America’s schools have taken.” It’s no secret many parents across the country are angry with what is happening (or not happening) in our taxpayer-funded schools:

Citizens are angry that school boards and school officials around the country are restricting access to public meetings, limiting public comment, and in some cases conducting business via text messages in violation of state open meetings laws.

They are angry that schools are charging them thousands of dollars in public records requests to view curriculum and training materials that impact their children and that should be open to the public by default.

They are angry that pandemic-related learning losses have compounded the already-low reading, writing, and math proficiency rates in America’s schools.

Parents are ultimately angry that rather than working to improve student achievement so our children actually learn in our country’s schools, “large numbers of districts have chosen to fund, often with hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer money, ‘social justice’ and ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion programs with finite resources.”

It is very revealing that instead of listening to and addressing the concerns of parents, the NSBA chose “to smear their constituents rather than engage with them in good faith.” The concerns of parents are, of course, due to the leftist policies embraced and implemented by the school boards that are supposedly accountable to the parents of their respective districts.

“It is appalling that [NSBA] would choose to threaten your fellow Americans for having the courage to hold you accountable for your failures,” said the parent organizations. “We will not be bullied. We will not have our speech chilled. We have a constitutional right to petition our elected officials, and we will continue to do so” in order to “address and improve the quality of America’s public education system for all children.”

Bravo to America’s “parents, grandparents, and concerned citizens” for not being intimidated by the NSBA’s shameful tactics and for putting America’s children first in the face of blatant leftist bullying.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has taken "unprecedented" measures to deter thousands of migrants from crossing into the state by parking Texas National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety vehicles along the U.S.-Mexico border near the Del Rio International Bridge.

"We put hundreds of Texas Department of Public Safety cars and created a steel wall — a steel wall of DPS vehicles — that prevented anybody from crossing that dam that you’ve seen people walk across," Abbott told Fox News Tuesday. "We effectively ... regained control of the border."

Thousands of migrants are living in makeshift huts and sleeping in the dirt under the bridge, waiting for their turn to be processed by U.S. immigration authorities. Abbott has blamed President Joe Biden for the situation, saying the federal government is not doing enough to secure the country's southern border. 

"When you have an administration that is not enforcing the law in this country; when you have an administration that has abandoned any pretense of securing the border and securing our sovereignty, you see the onrush of people like what we saw walking across this dam that is right behind me," Abbott said at a news conference in Val Verde County.

Government officials started parking their cars along the border last week. 

"The Texas Department of Public Safety is in full force along the border around the Del Rio area. They have built a barricade with their squad cars and State Troopers. The National Guard is working with them to secure the border," Abbott tweeted.

He added in a statement that "one day there were countless people coming across the border, then the DPS put up all these vehicles, and suddenly, in an instant, people stopped crossing the border in this location. That strategy is working."

Texas will spend an additional $2 billion on security for the border.

"It has been the state of Texas that has had to step up," Abbott said. "Failure to enforce laws that exist in the United States leads to chaos and chaos leads to inhumanity."

Rodney S. Scott, the recently retired U.S. Border Patrol chief, made some stunning revelations in a letter to Democrat and Republican leaders in the Senate and the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Accord to Scott’s letter, which was obtained by JusttheNews.com, career experts have made many recommendations to slow the border crisis but have been repeatedly rebuffed by the Biden administration.

“Common sense border security recommendations from experienced career professionals are being ignored and stymied by inexperienced political appointees,” Scott wrote in his letter earlier this month. “The Biden administration’s team at DHS is laser-focused on expediting the flow of migrants into the U.S. and downplaying the significant vulnerability this creates for terrorists, narcotics smugglers, human traffickers, and even hostile nations to gain access to our homeland.”

Scott, a 29-year career law enforcement officer, was originally appointed by President Trump. He retired last month.

“In my professional assessment, the  U.S. Border Patrol is rapidly losing the situational awareness required to know who and what is entering our Homeland,” Scott warned, before revealing that the Biden administration has not only been ignoring advice on how to mitigate the crisis, but is also deliberately misleading Congress.

“The experienced civil service staff within CBP, ICE and DHS have provided multiple options to reduce the illegal entries and reestablish some semblance of border security through proven programs and consequences, yet every recommendation has been summarily rejected,” Scott wrote. “Secretary Mayorkas is choosing to ignore the sound recommendations of career government leadership despite his own admissions that he agrees with them.”

“Of grave concern,” Scott continued, “is the fact that the Secretary and other political appointees within DHS have provided factually incorrect information to Congressional Representatives and to the American public. Scott’s accusation that the Biden administration is lying to Congress must be investigated. While it has been obvious to many of us that the Biden administration has shown no interest in solving the border crisis, lying to Congress about the situation is a serious accusation that cannot be ignored.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind: DHS Scrambling to Deport Haitians Under a Bridge in Texas

There are now an estimated 14,000 Haitians and other illegal immigrants camped out under a bridge in South Texas waiting to be arrested by border agents and then released into the United States. Photos and video of the Biden bungle at the border have terrified the White House to the point that they have tasked the Department of Homeland Security with getting the Haitians off the news.

DHS will authorize up to eight flights a day from Texas to Haiti in order to get the poor, desperate people out of sight.

The United States has now closed the Del Rio Port of Entry into the United States — an unprecedented move to stop traffic headed north into the United States or south into Mexico. Jokes about the barn door and horses are perfectly apropos.

Washington Examiner:

“This temporary closure and shift is necessary in order for CBP to respond to urgent safety and security needs presented by an influx of migrants into Del Rio and is effective immediately,” the agency said. “It will advance and protect national interests and help ensure the safety of the traveling public, commercial traffic, and CBP employees and facilities.”

All vehicular traffic will have to travel an hour’s drive to the next closest open port of entry between Eagle Pass, Texas, and Piedras Negras, Mexico.

The Haitian government has agreed to accept three flights a day. Three is not eight, so one might wonder where the other planeloads of Haitians are going to land.

Laughably, the Biden administration is bending over backward to assure all of us that they aren’t “targeting” any one race or nationality in this airlift.

Washington Post:

“This isn’t about any one country or country of origin,” the official said. “This is about enforcing border restrictions on those who continue to enter the country illegally and put their lives and the lives of the federal workforce at risk.”

The Biden administration continues to use a pandemic enforcement measure known as Title 42 to rapidly “expel” border crossers to Mexico or their home countries. Officials said some of the flights to Haiti would probably be expulsion flights relying on the public health authority of the Title 42 provision.

Consider us assured, guys.

Meanwhile, a federal judge ruled on Thursday that Title 42 no longer applies to families that show up at the border with at least one child below the age of 18. Those families will be processed and released into the United States while they await their court dates — sometime around 2024.

The Biden administration is hoping to “discourage” more Haitians from arriving under the bridge. It hardly matters. The Haitians and other illegals will simply go somewhere else while waiting for their turn to be arrested and processed.

By announcing its intent to deport the Haitians before launching the flights, Biden officials also appeared to be hoping some in the camp would abandon their attempt to enter the United States and return to Mexico. Migrants arriving to the camp have been given numbered tickets by the Border Patrol as they await a turn to be formally taken into U.S. custody, the first step in starting the process of requesting U.S. asylum or some other form of protection from deportation.

Some Haitians seeking to avoid deportation could abandon the Del Rio camp and attempt to remain in the United States illegally, or return to Mexico, two U.S. officials acknowledged.

The Biden administration has been doing a great job of keeping the crisis at the border off the television and out of the news reports. It’s only when illegals do something crazy like gather under a bridge in Texas when it’s 100 degrees outside that the mainstream media bestir themselves to cover the crisis.

In a couple of days, we’ll be back to normal — a non-crisis that isn’t happening.

The 10,000 illegal aliens who await entry into the United States at the border down of Del Rio, Texas, are overrunning the city. Another 10,000 are on the way, Fox News’s Bill Melugin reported this morning. And the Biden Regime is ignoring it.

Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida, along with Rep. Tony Gonzalez of Texas’s 23rd District are begging President Biden to do something … and blaming him for the deluge of humanity. Gonzalez’s district includes the besieged town.

“This manmade disaster was caused by Joe Biden,” Cruz tweeted.

Yet Biden isn’t ignoring it completely. His Federal Aviation Administration put flight restrictions over the area to stop Fox News’s drone flights that capture video of the catastrophe.

Critical Mass

The number of illegals, many of them Haitians, has more than doubled since September 15, when 4,000 had massed under the Del Rio bridge.

“The city is now completely overrun and our border patrol is overwhelmed. President Biden and Sec. Mayorkas need to act NOW,” Gonzalez warned when the figure was a mere 4,000.

But that number quickly doubled to 8,200, as Melugin tweeted early yesterday.

Now, more than 10,000 of the penniless “migrants” are there. The population of Del Rio is about 36,000.

“I am on the ground in Del Rio, Texas tonight,” Cruz wrote late yesterday:

As of this moment, there are 10,503 illegal aliens under the Del Rio International Bridge. This manmade disaster was caused by Joe Biden. #BidenBorderCrisis

Even Rubio, who supported the Gang of Eight amnesty for illegal aliens, is concerned enough to say something:

A new migratory crisis has emerged over the last 72 hours on the southern border

A new surge of migrants has overwhelmed Border Patrol agents and thousands of migrants,including small children,are now crowded into dangerous impromptu camp

And thousands more are on the way.

When the illegals will simply break-out and trample the already-overwhelmed Border Patrol is open to question. But when it happens, Americans won’t see it, at least from the air, if the FAA’s rule stays in place.

Last night, the federal agency grounded Fox’s drone, which has shown the enormity of Biden’s failure in living color.

“We’ve learned that the FAA just implemented a two week TFR (Temporary Flight Restrictions) over the international bridge in Del Rio, TX, meaning we can no longer fly our FOX drone over it to show images of the thousands of migrants,” Melugin tweeted. “FAA says ‘special security reason’.”

Melugin followed with details that suggest the Biden Regime wants to hide the invasion:

@FoxNews has been covering the border nonstop for almost 7 months now, we use the drone constantly, and it has never been an issue. We have reached out to the FAA to ask for clarification on why this TFR was implemented. We haven’t heard back yet. Will update if/when we do.

Later, Melugin reported that the FAA downed the drones because they interfered with “law enforcement flights” and that the media could appeal the rule.

Small Fraction

But blocking the drones would have done no good anyway. The news from Del Rio is out. The Border Patrol is overwhelmed because Sleepy Joe opened the borders by rescinding many of President Trump’s border security initiatives.

The 10,000 at Del Rio are just a small fraction of the total that border agents caught in August and will catch in September. Late this morning, Melugin reported that law enforcement sources said another 10,000 were on the way to join those already packed under the bridge in the city.

As The New American reported of the latest border data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents apprehended more than 200,000 illegals in August, just as they did in July.

The total on the year is more than 1.5 million. The total for the fiscal year, which ends in 13 days, could exceed 1.7 million.

As news of another throng of 10,000 approached Del Rio, Biden left for the beach.
