Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat nominee, has agreed to a sit-down interview with Fox News’ chief political anchor Bret Baier.
The interview will air Wednesday, October 16th on Baier’s “Special Report” at 6 p.m. E.T. in Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile, the vice presidential nominee for the Democratic Party, Tim Walz (D-Minn), will join “Fox News Sunday” for the second straight week on Sunday as well.
Harris’s first interview with Fox News comes as she has been slowly stepping up appearances on a wide range of media and news outlets after previously being accused of dodging certain conservative networks.
“Special Report” is consistently one of the most watched cable news programs. A popular feature this election cycle, “Common Ground,” features political leaders from both parties discussing current issues and trying to find a middle ground.
The Democratic presidential nominee also recently appeared on “60 minutes,” where she was criticized after the network aired two polar opposite answers of hers to the exact same question about Israel.
Harris then followed that up with more easy, “softball” interviews on ABC‘s “The View,” Stephen Colbert’s late show, and Sirius XM’s Howard Stern Show" last week, who have all voiced that they will do whatever it takes to get Harris more votes and defeat Trump.
In addition to leading Fox News’ special Democracy 2024 coverage of both the Democrat and Republican National Conventions, Baier has co-led a number of political events that have routinely ranked as the best on television, surpassing both broadcast and cable news coverage.
Additionally, he has moderated town halls and Republican presidential primary debates featuring a range of political candidates, including former President Donald Trump.
