President Donald Trump will speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, after Trump’s call with Russian President Vladimir Putin took place a day earlier, discussing a possible ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Zelensky said Putin’s promise following a call with Trump to stop Russian attacks on energy and infrastructure in Ukraine was “very much at odds with reality,” after Russia hit Ukraine Tuesday night with 150 drones, damaging energy facilities.

“Today I will be in contact with President Trump,” Zelensky said at a news conference in Helsinki with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. “We will discuss the details of the next steps with him.”

However, Putin accused Ukraine of targeting Russian oil facilities overnight.

“If the Russians don’t hit our facilities, we definitely won’t hit theirs,” Zelensky said alongside Stubb, according to the Associated Press.

Additionally, Zelensky said he is expecting to hear more about Trump’s plans for implementing a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, the 47th president has been pushing for a ceasefire between the two sides. Russia and Ukraine are expected to exchange prisoners on Wednesday, a new development that Zelensky claimed is a welcome sign of building trust.

During his call with Trump, Putin demanded that Ukraine not recruit more military personnel or rearm troops during a ceasefire. Ukraine has said the demands are a move by Putin to weaken its country.

The Russian president has also cited NATO expanding its membership to Ukraine as a direct threat to Russia’s security and what it views as “root causes” of its initial invasion into Ukraine.

Zelensky has also said one of the toughest issues in future negotiations would be the issue of territorial concessions.

“For us, the red line is the recognition of the Ukrainian temporarily occupied territories as Russian. We will not go for it,” he said.

Louisiana Dept. Of Health: We ‘Will No Longer Promote Mass Vaccination’ Following RFK Jr. Confirmation

Kennedy Jr. after Kennedy was sworn in as Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Oval Office at the White House on February 13, 2025 in Washington, DC. Following Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) confirmed that it “will no longer promote mass vaccination.”

The announcement by the LDH was sent out as an internal memo — ordering staff to end all media campaigns and promotions to encourage vaccinations.

“The State of Louisiana and LDH have historically promoted vaccines for vaccine preventable illnesses through our parish health units, community health fairs, partnerships and media campaigns,” wrote Louisiana’s Surgeon General, Ralph Abraham.

“While we encourage each patient to discuss the risks and benefits of vaccination with their provider, LDH will no longer promote mass vaccination,” the memo continued.

The LDH also released a public statement, vowing to restore the public’s trust in the healthcare system following the previous COVID-19 mandates and lockdowns.

“For much of the last century, public health has taken it upon itself to fill in the gaps in our broken healthcare system – providing guidance, information, and health recommendations. But when we get it wrong and overreach, the harm is often irreparable. Trust is built over years and lost in seconds, and we’re still rebuilding from the [Trump] missteps,” the announcement read.

“A study in Health Affairs found that after the pandemic, only 37% of the public trusted information from the CDC a ‘great deal’ and only 25% trusted state and local health departments. Doctors fare better, but the trend is consistently alarming. A recent survey by JAMA showed that confidence in doctors decreased from 71% in 2020 to 40% in 2024. The antidote to this freefall in public trust is simply to start telling the truth. Until confidence is restored, the majority aren’t going to take advice from public health, no matter how well-founded it may be.”

“As a nation, we must recognize that there is no miracle pill for the major population health problems we face. The solution to increased spending and declining outcomes in our country is unlikely to come in the form of a pill or a shot. Much of the solution will likely come down to the usual hard work of improving diet, increasing exercise, and making better lifestyle choices.”

The LDH was likely empowered by Kennedy’s confirmation — as he has long been a skeptic of Big Pharma’s push for mass vaccinations and experimental mRNA vaccinations, previously stating that it “is criminal malpractice to give a child one of” the COVID-19 vaccines.

Throughout his hearing, Kennedy continually stated that he is not anti-vaccine per se, but rather, that vaccines need to be held to much higher standards of research and long term testing prior to their mass administration.

Kennedy has officially initiated the “Make America Healthy Again” movement, as secretary of the HHS, focusing on ending the chronic health crisis in America. The health initiative also ultimately united his former presidential campaign in congruence with President Donald Trump’s campaign.

“Bobby created a nationwide movement made up of millions and millions of mothers and fathers and young people and concerned citizens of every background to end this horrible chronic disease crisis that exists in America,” Trump stated following Kennedy’s swearing-in ceremony.

“He’s absolutely committed to getting dangerous chemicals out of our environment and out of our food supply, and getting the American people the facts and the answers that we deserve after years in which our public health system has squandered the trust of our citizens,” Trump continued.

Following his swearing-in, Kennedy stated that: “For 20 years, I got down on my knees and prayed that God would put me in a position where I can end childhood chronic disease epidemic in this country.”

“On August 23 of last year, God sent me President Trump,” Kennedy added.

A Florida man has been arrested after allegedly making “violent” threats against President Donald Trump.

On Saturday, the West Palm Beach Police stated that Shannon Depararro Atkins, 46, was arrested after a tip provided to the authorities accused him of threatening to kill the president on social media.

He is currently facing one count of making written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism.

Atkins is also facing a drug possession charge after detectives found cocaine on him at the time of the arrest.

West Palm Beach Police stated that they began their investigation on January 19th after a tip sent to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center reported a man in Okeechobee, later identified as Atkins, making violent Facebook posts aimed towards Trump.

According to WPEC, authorities stated that Atkins said something along the lines of “Lincoln, JFK, Reagan, Martin Luther King, and Trump. Unfortunately, one is still alive.” Another post by Atkins allegedly stated “Bullets, please. Jesus! Save America” and “I’ve been banned from X because I said I hope and pray someone kills him. We haven’t had an assassination in years.”

The inquiry, which led police to Atkins, was started on January 20 by a detective from the West Palm Beach Police who was attached to the FBI task team. Detectives had been keeping an eye on Atkins during the inquiry before his arrest on Friday night.

Atkins was driving a white 2013 BMW 750Li when he was stopped during a traffic stop close to his West Palm Beach residence just before 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to West Palm Beach Police.

Atkins acknowledged creating the posts online during his interrogation with police. He was subsequently brought to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center, where he is being held on the aforementioned counts. The U.S. Secret Service was also informed by detectives, and they will decide if Atkins will be charged with any federal offenses.

Voter registration records show that Atkins voted Democrat since at least 2008.

Atkins’ arrest comes months after Trump survived two assassination attempts, including a shooting during a Butler, Pennsylvania rally in July in which a bullet grazed his ear.

I would say people are familiar with the notion that Big Media is compromised by Big Pharma because of this relationship where they buy billions of dollars in ads. Now the media avoids covering stories we used to cover routinely about medical scandals. I think people have some idea that Big Pharma compromises are political institutions because they donate tons of money to both political parties in order that they be allowed to write laws and bills, to make certain oversight hearings are not held. But I think people are less familiar and put a lot less focus on the medical establishment’s role—how the medical establishment too has been co-opted by Big Pharma interests in ways that are invisible to most people… We’re talking about scientific studies, medical associations, medical schools, and the continuing medical education classes. And it’s important because I think Americans understand, they’ve been watching for 20 years as we’ve grown sicker and sicker and sicker with chronic epidemics of disease.

CDC: 1 Dead, 49 Falls Ill Following E. Coli Outbreak Linked To McDonald’s Quarter Pounder

The United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a food safety alert after one person died and 49 others fell ill from E. coli, and officials believe the outbreak is linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder burgers.

At least 49 people have reported being sick across 10 different states, including one death from the outbreak.

The CDC announced that 10 people have been hospitalized, including a child who now has hemolytic uremic syndrome, a serious complication that can develop from an E. coli infection.

Most illnesses related to the outbreak have been reported in Colorado residents.

According to the agency, the investigation is “fast-moving” in its efforts, and certain information reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has indicated that “slivered onions are a likely source of contamination.”

While the investigation is ongoing, McDonald’s has discontinued the use of onions and quarter-pound beef patties in several states from locations in Colorado, Kansas, Utah, Wyoming, portions of Idaho, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

However, the CDC also noted that the outbreak may have gone beyond those states.

The CDC also stated that those specific beef patties are only used for Quarter Pounders, and slivered onions are primarily used for Quarter Pounders, rather than other items.

According to McDonald’s statement, the initial investigation findings linked the onions to “a single supplier that serves three distribution centers.”

“We are working in close partnership with our suppliers to replenish supply for the Quarter Pounder in the coming weeks (timing will vary by local market),” it said. “In the meantime, all other menu items, including other beef products (including the Cheeseburger, Hamburger, Big Mac, McDouble and the Double Cheeseburger) are unaffected and available.”

People with E. coli infections may experience severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Symptoms of infection typically appear three to four days after swallowing the bacteria. Although most people who become ill recover without treatment within a week, some may develop serious kidney problems and require hospitalization.

Anyone who becomes ill after eating a McDonald’s Quarter Pounder should seek medical attention immediately and call their doctor, according to the CDC.

A judge has ruled that a 100-foot “Vote for Trump” sign will be allowed to be lit up in upstate New York.

On Monday, Montgomery County Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Slezak lifted a temporary restraining order following a city lawsuit against the CEO of Sticker Mule, Anthony Constantino.

The city had claimed that Constanino’s “Vote for Trump” sign sitting on top of his firm’s building violated local zoning laws and posed a traffic hazard.

The city, which is represented by attorneys working for Mayor Michael Cinquanti (D-N.Y.), argued that the company did not obtain the required permits to put in the sign up. They also said that drivers could be distracted by the sign.

Constantino’s legal team responded to the allegations stating that the sign was far enough from major roads to avoid such risks.

“All I know is tonight the party is on and the lighting will occur and there is no court order prohibiting the lighting and display of the sign,” Sal Ferlazzo, Constantino’s lawyer, said. “So it’s obviously a nice victory for Anthony and his team.”

After Slezak heard arguments in court, she lifted the restraining order and cleared the way for the sign’s lighting.

“We are all set to light it up!” Constantino told The New York Post.

Constantino added that Democrats “want to get rid of free speech and censor America and so the sign now signifies something even bigger than what I thought … In America, I got a First Amendment right.”

“It’s my building,” he continued, “it’s a beautiful sign and whether you’re a Democrat or Republican, the sign is an uplifting thing for community enthusiasm.”

The city has until October 18th to refile the case.

Constantino intends to celebrate the court victory and the sign’s debut by holding a rally with special speakers, including local politicians and athletes.

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) has decided to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s protection following him suspending his bid.

Kennedy’s press secretary spoke with CBS News on Sunday, saying that “Mr. Kennedy no longer has USSS.”

Following the failed attempt on taking former President Donald Trump’s life, 78, last month, President Joe Biden, 81, had directed the protective agency to provide security for Kennedy, 70.

For months, Kennedy had both openly and privately pushed for Secret Service protection, citing a number of security concerns and implying that political reasons were to blame for the hold-up.

On Friday, Kennedy announced that even though he was suspending his candidacy, he was not terminating it. He stated that he planned to remove his name off the ballot in about 10 battleground states and endorsed Trump.

The president, vice president, members of their immediate family, past presidents, foreign heads of state, former presidents’ children up to the age of 16, former first ladies, and prominent presidential contenders are all normally protected by the Secret Service.

It’s standard practice for the Secret Service to reduce, if not completely remove, protection when candidates withdraw.
