It is astonishing how far the Palestinian “resistance,” with its goal of obliterating Israel from the River to the Sea, has advanced with little or insignificant pushback. This “resistance” has come to dominate the UN and continues to grow everywhere. In this most recent case, the far-Left Democracy Now! features a key exponent of the Palestinian “resistance” movement, Noura Erakat, who comes out swinging against America for hosting Israel’s President Isaac Herzog. This comes after Biden invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to visit the United States this year despite recently criticizing the makeup of Netanyahu’s far-right Cabinet as “one of the most extremist” he has seen. The visits from Israeli leadership are an attempt to “normalize apartheid,” says Palestinian human rights attorney Noura Erakat, who compares today’s U.S. support of Israel to the nation’s support for South African apartheid. “The United States is complicit and a pillar of Israeli apartheid in its provision of unequivocal financial, diplomatic and military support.” Erakat also applauds the efforts of activists and politicians who have shifted Democrats’ sympathies more toward Palestine than Israel, according to a recent Gallup poll….

Why is one of the world’s most self-consciously strict adherents of Islamic law so intolerant of Christians? The pope and many others assure us that Islam is peaceful and tolerant. Why doesn’t the Taliban get this?

07/13/2023 Afghanistan (International Christian Concern) – Since the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, religious and civil liberties have rapidly deteriorated under Taliban rule. Under the current regime, former government officials and civil servants, and religious minorities like Christians endure intense governmental and societal pressure and scrutiny. They face regular raids on their homes by the Taliban, frequently receive threats against their jobs and families, and lack access to educational opportunities. 

The Taliban are attempting to cut contact between Afghani citizens and any Western groups and have practically eradicated on-the-ground relief efforts by NGOs. Any group looking to provide long-term relief efforts, such as livelihood relief, must be wary of Taliban spies among their workers. 

The state of religious freedom and Christian tolerance in Afghanistan has not improved since ICC reported Afghanistan as one of the worst places in the world to be a Christian in the 2022 Persecutor of the Year report. The Taliban are working to completely erase Christianity or any religious minority from the country, even stating that there are no Christians in Afghanistan, an obviously false claim. Many Christians have gone underground to avoid being kidnapped by the Taliban “courts.”  

Poverty, Betrayal, and Torture 

The rising starvation rates and increasing poverty in Afghanistan create an even higher security threat to these believers since now the Taliban are offering financial compensation to anyone who reports on Christians. In an interview with Mission News Network, Lana Silk, CEO of USA at Transform Iran, said, “The Taliban are offering money for Afghans to turn in any Christians they know. And Afghans are desperate, further heightening the security risk [to] Christians.” 

Unless ransomed by their families, Christians captured by the “courts” face brutal torture and even death. If redeemed, the survivors and their families, often bankrupt from the exorbitant ransom demands, must flee their homes to avoid repeated kidnappings from the various Taliban gangs.  

Pakistan’s Refugee Crisis 

Because of the persecution, many Christians escape to Pakistan and risk capture and death by the Taliban. Even if they make it to Pakistan, they must conceal their faith for fear of receiving worse treatment in already poor conditions. Some Christian refugees decide to return to Afghanistan, deciding they have a better chance of survival under the Taliban than in Pakistan.  

The Pakistani government, unprepared for the influx of refugees, has begun to crack down on immigration. Many immigrants cannot find work to provide food or rent for themselves and their families….

Joe Biden may be a horrible president of the United States. But he’s one damn fine magician as, once again, he proves that his magical abilities are more powerful than any Congress, court, or constitution in America.

With a disinterested flick of his magic wand, Biden has been able to make $39 billion in student loan debt disappear. How can he do this, you might ask? Like all magic tricks, it’s a big secret. But we know how he didn’t do it: He didn’t ask Congress to pass a bill forgiving the debt. That sort of thing is only important to old fuddy-duddy conservatives who think when the Supreme Court says the president can’t forgive $400 billion in student loan debt, they mean it.

The Biden administration imposed a moratorium on the repayment of student loan debt in March 2021. But that doesn’t mean that the borrowers weren’t paying back the money. Biden used more magic to make all those monthly payments disappear.

Wall Street Journal:

Obama-era repayment plans cap borrower monthly payments at 10% of discretionary income and let borrowers discharge unpaid debt after 10 to 25 years. Yet the Education Department said Friday that borrowers will receive credit for payments even during months when they weren’t making them. This adds up to $39 billion in new loan forgiveness.

The Administration also boasted that it has approved $116.6 billion in loan forgiveness to date, including $45 billion through “improvements” to public-service loan plans. That’s $68,828 of writeoffs on average for each qualifying government and nonprofit worker. Now the Administration plans to “improve” repayment plans for all borrowers.

Our Wizard-in-Chief is digging deep into his bag of tricks to pull out more student loan debt cancellations in order to buy more votes for the 2024 election.

The Education Department plans to slash payments to 5% of discretionary income, which would be redefined to exclude more earnings. Borrowers earning less than $32,800 wouldn’t pay a cent. Even years in which they don’t make payments, as during the pandemic, would be counted toward their required payments.

The Administration estimates that a typical graduate of a four-year public university would save nearly $2,000 a year, or about $40,000 over 20 years. That’s several thousand dollars more than the already generous Obama write-offs, and loan balances wouldn’t grow from unpaid interest as they do now.

A teacher fired from Philadelphia’s Al-Aqsa Islamic Academy has filed a civil suit against the school and its principal, alleging extraordinary anti-black racism at the school.

Arslan Shaikh served as a “general studies” teacher with Al-Aqsa Islamic Academy from August 2020 to April 28, 2023. In his filed complaint, he alleges, throughout his time at the school, he observed “disproportionate allocation of discipline and removal of black children relative to their non-black counterparts.”

Moreover, Shaikh claims that a report he wrote, documenting racist comments aimed at black students by other students, was “edited … to omit [mention of] the overt racism.”

He also alleges that “non-black children were given privileges denied to black children. On one occasion, several non-black students received failing grades. These grades were then changed to ‘passing’ by Defendants. In the three years that Plaintiff taught at Al-Aqsa, he never saw this benefit conferred to black children.”

On April 27, 2023, Shaikh claims that during a conversation with the school principal, Shireen Hammoudeh, he was informed of a complaint lodged against him by students. Principal Hammoudeh reportedly told Shaikh that the complaint was only filed because “they’re black and are trying to manufacture a lawsuit.” She allegedly promised to “find a reason to get rid of [the black students].”

Shaikh informed other administration members at the school about the “display of overt racism,” only to be fired a few hours later.

The school’s 2019 “parent-student handbook” declares that Western culture is “toxic to Muslims.” And the uniform guides for the school require that female students be completely covered….

Up in Bangor, Maine, at least parents can rest assured that in the local public schools, their children are learning about what’s really important. At Bangor High School, enlightened educators doled out $1,000 to a young man who calls himself Priscilla Poppycocks and dresses up as an exaggerated mockery of a woman. Priscilla Poppycocks enjoyed this payday for the hard work of regaling students with tales of “his life growing up gay in Maine.” As far as these learned administrators are concerned, it was money well spent: after all, young Maine residents will need to be well-versed in the religion of the state, don’t they?

According to a Fox News report Tuesday, Freedom of Access Act (FOAA) documents revealed yet another revolting episode of our age of absurdity: Priscilla Poppycocks, a drag queen whose real name is Dominick Varney, “spoke to Bangor High School students on May 4 as part of the school’s ‘Support, Educate, Empower’ series to ‘empower’ LGBT students.” The good news is that “the school confirmed to Fox News Digital that Varney did not attend in drag.” Hey, that’s terrific, but couldn’t Bangor High School have found something else to support, educate, and empower students about? Are our public schools now just one long advertisement for homosexuality?

The money that the school used to pay Dominic Varney was actually supposed to go for a different kind of propaganda. The dough came out of a $15,000 grant that the school received from the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, which endeavors to “advance racial equity in public education.” Now, you might have thought that since the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, racial inequality in education was illegal, stigmatized, and vanishingly rare. But don’t you see that you’re overlooking all that systemic racism that we need Critical Race Theorists to come point out for us?

The Nellie Mae Education Foundation explains: “We believe that applying a racial equity lens is essential for analyzing and solving problems that have endured for generations, impact individuals and communities of color most acutely, and ultimately affect ALL people, whether in other marginalized or privileged groups.” “Racial equity,” of course, means blaming white people for as much as possible, no matter how outlandish, and demanding special privileges for “people of color.”

That much is clear, but what’s not clear is how Dominic Varney’s presentation advanced those divisive objectives. Varney, after all, is white. Bangor, Maine is 88% white. And Priscilla Poppycocks didn’t show up to spread race victimhood propaganda. Fox noted that “in the 90-minute workshop, titled ‘Make Them Hear You,’ Varney discussed ‘growing up gay in Maine.’” The flier announcing the event enthused: “During our conversations together you will have some opportunities to experience some acting techniques and gain some first-hand knowledge of how being different is the biggest advantage we all have to be successful in our lives. And most likely, you’ll hear him sing!”

Being different? Really? In 2023 in American public schools, nothing could be more go-along and conformist than being gay and learning from drag queens all about how to be “different.” Nothing could be more establishment than going to high school and not learning any math, science, or (perish the thought) history, but instead gathering at the feet of a professional drag queen in order to hear about how stunning and brave it is to be homosexual, if not transgender.

And this was definitely an either/or situation: students who wanted to hear Varney were excused from class from 12:30 to 2 p.m., and indoctrination was very much the order of the day: Bangor High English teacher Emilie Brand Throckmorton, who no doubt spends a great deal of class time teaching pronoun fantasies, wrote to Varney: “I just know you are a role model for these kids, and we just want you to shine your light on them.”

The effect of this sort of thing is clear. The New York Post reported Monday that “the number of Brown University students identifying as LGBTQ+ has doubled since 2010,” and is now approaching forty percent. Tell kids every day of their lives that being homosexual is courageous and heroic, and you’ll get more homosexuals.

Yet one of the many problems with this is that over in China, Russia, and Iran, no drag queens are working in public schools to make new recruits. Only young people who are actually courageous and heroic are called courageous and heroic. One day, there will come a showdown between these two radically different visions of education, and of society in general. America is not likely to get the better of it.

The left’s attempts to keep parents in the dark about what they’re teaching their children in school haven’t been surprising. Giving kids a completely skewed and off-kilter view of American history, for example, is part of a larger effort to substitute their own narrative for what had been a far less critical and more balanced telling of the American story.

Now, a FOIA request from Parents Defending Education has unearthed a brazen attempt by a public school district in Ohio to circumvent parental involvement in the most personal aspects of a child’s life.

The Columbus City Schools spent $24,000 on a two-day seminar for teachers, counselors, and other educators on “Queer and Trans Inclusion.” The seminar recommended teachers avoid sharing a student’s new gender identity with parents and that there be a “private place within the student’s records.”

“Affirmed name should be used, regardless of legal name, on all paperwork and printed materials,” one of the slides in the presentation reads. “Legal name is kept in a segregated, confidential file. If the student’s caregivers are not supportive or cannot know about their affirming name, there should be a private place within the student’s records to indicate the name and pronouns that staff and peers should use for the student, aligning with the student’s wishes.”

Deliberately falsifying a child’s records to hide from parents what any normal psychologist would tell us is a serious psychological condition is beyond belief. Parents must be given all the facts so they can decide what the best course of action — medical or psychological — is for their children.

There is no “born this way” for transgender children. There’s no gene that “turns on” and morphs a child into a different gender. “Transgender and non-binary students have FERPA-protected right to privacy; this extends to a student’s gender identity, birth name, sex assigned at birth, and medical history. This includes privacy rights from parents/caregivers,” seminar attendees were told.

I can’t believe privacy laws were created to keep this kind of information from parents. Whatever legal loophole the leftist instructors are using to make that claim needs to be closed immediately.

America’s preeminent teachers' union is now recommending that its members add Gender Queer – a treatise on the merits of transgenderism – to their summer reading list, presumably in order for any holdouts to fix their minds in time for next year’s new crop of bright-eyed children, ready to be groomed.

The National Education Association (NEA) on Monday recommended that teachers include the controversial book “Gender Queer” on their summer reading lists.

The book was featured in the NEA’s “Great Summer Reads for Educators!” list that showcased 11 books.

Among those books are “White Fragility,” a book that insists that White Americans use anger, shame and guilt to avoid taking responsibility for racial inequality. 

Other sections included “books to help you forget about work” and “books to celebrate or help you understand Junetheenth.”

Under the “banned books” section, Gender Queer is recommended as a reading. 

“Gender Queer” has as courted major controversy among America parents for being in public school libraries throughout the US and has been challenged for its depictions and descriptions of oral sex as well as discussions on masturbation.

The reading list is posted to NEA’s website, which lauds Gender Queer for its controversial nature, implying that it contains some sort of important and verboten truth, censored as it is by MAGA terrorists: “Twilight used to be at the top of banned-book lists for its racy content. Today, those lists are much more likely to feature LGBTQ+ people or People of Color. Indeed, the top two books banned in 2022 were Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maira Kobabe, about identifying outside the gender binary, and All Boys Aren’t Blue: A Memoir-Manifesto by George M. Johnson.”

The entire justification for reading the book offered in the list, in fact, pertains to its banned status in many school systems. In other words, the NEA is saying: “Lots of parents [domestic terrorists] hate our transgender propaganda aimed at their children, so we’re going to double down.”

“Banned Books: Celebrate the Freedom to Read!” declares the header in the article on the NEA site. The union also recommends, in the same section, White Fragility by the notorious anti-white race hustler Robin DiAngelo.

The teachers union has long been a champion of various Social Justice™ causes, including pandering to the transgender lobby. Per the National Education Association, “LGBTQ+ students are more likely to face bullying and harassment, leading to poor grades, higher dropout rates, and homelessness. Safe and affirming schools are a core element of student success.”

President Joe Biden’s administration has allocated $223 million for the UN’s Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), a body which has a history of promoting terrorism and Jew hatred among Palestinian children.

The Biden State Department raised the annual funding for the agency by $16 million, despite repeated reports showing that the UNRWA-run schools are used to indoctrinate Palestinian youth in the ideology of jihad terrorism.

The textbooks, generously funded by the U.S. and European countries, are designed to raise the next generation of recruits for Palestinian terrorist organizations, investigative reports show. “UNRWA teachers and schools regularly call for the murder of Jews and create institutional teaching materials that glorify terrorism, encourage martyrdom, demonize Israelis and incite antisemitism, a recent report found,” the news agency Jewish News Syndicate noted June 25.

In 2018, President Donald Trump ended all funding for the UNRWA, rightly labelling it an “irredeemably flawed” organization. President Biden reversed the decision shortly after taking office, pledging $235 million for the UN agency in 2021. The U.S. pays nearly one-third of the agency’s $1 billion annual budget.

The U.S. State Department announced Monday that the United States support budget for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) will reach a record high of $223 million this year.

The increasing amount of support, which is $16 million higher than the previous year, solidifies Washington’s position as the largest donor to UNRWA. Former U.S. President Donald Trump halted all funding of the agency, but since the beginning of President Joe Biden’s term the U.S. has allocated almost a billion dollars to UNRWA.

The announcement of support for UNRWA comes despite the statements of Barbara A. Leaf, the U.S. assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, who criticized UNRWA. In a conversation with members of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee last week, Leaf said that the State Department is aware of ongoing reports of incitement to violence in UNRWA schools.

We have concerns about curricula or classroom instruction that promote violence and terrorism. It’s a work in progress, and we are committed to it,” Leaf said. However, she did not elaborate on how the State Department plans to address this issue….

Two years ago, Amy Gonzalez and Andrea Gross, two Ohio moms with children in the Columbus Academy, had had enough of the school’s CRT and DEI policies. And like moms across the United States, they decided to take a stand and even gathered a coalition of like-minded parents to demand answers and solutions. In the video below, you can see why they spoke up and how the school tried to exact punishment and enforce compliance.

At the time, Gross and Gonzalez told ABC 6 in Columbus that their coalition wanted to know what was being taught and felt that they were not being heard. Gross said that people felt, “marginalized. Intimidated. Isolated. And ultimately discriminated against.” Gonzalez stated that the DEI agenda at the school felt like “inherent bigotry.”

The pair were accused by the school of “false and misleading attacks” and later informed them that their children would be denied re-enrollment that fall. The school also took the extra step of informing other families of the expulsion. In that letter, Head of School Melissa Soderberg claimed that Gross and Gonzalez  had “pursued a course of action that has been anything but civil, respectful, and faithful to the facts.” She also accused the pair of causing pain and fear for physical safety among the faculty, staff, students, and even their families. The station said that the pair made an appearance on a podcast. One parent who supported the school’s position listened and commented:

The language was very incendiary and I actually contacted the school after that podcast. We know there were children recording their class lectures and discussions in class at the urging of their parents. I think there is a chilling of discussion in the classroom that I think it’s really problematic. The school does not teach, per se critical race theory. There are certainly components the students, especially in the upper school are exposed to, but they are not taught how to think and they are not told what to think. Gross told the outlet, “I believe they are trying to send a message to the other members of our coalition that if you speak out and you ask questions that they will punish your innocent children.”

On June 12 of this year, Gonzalez and Gross filed an official complaint in the Court of Common Pleas in Franklin County. Fox News notes that the pair are seeking damages from the academy. The complaint states in part, “One teacher stated, on the first day of class, that he would not communicate with any student who supported President Trump. Politically charged issues were regularly taught and discussed in the classroom without opposing viewpoints presented.” The complaint also alleges that Latinos were not offered inclusion to the extent that other minorities enjoyed. The head of the academy’s security filed a report with the local police department and the school told faculty that it had reported the pair to the FBI. That portion of the complaint reads:

During the meeting when faculty was told the FBI had been alerted, the environment was such that one of the Academy’s faculty members raised his/her hand and asked if the Child Plaintiffs should be treated differently. Another member of faculty stated, “it sounds like we have a mole’” The actions of the Academy and those of its affiliates, as directed by the Academy, had an extreme impact on the wellbeing of Plaintiffs. When I was a kid, whenever I would act up the common threat was that I would be packed up and shipped off to military school within the week. To be fair, my parents were left-wing pacifists and I suppose in their minds that would have been the direst of consequences. But I remember thinking at the time that it wasn’t such a bad idea. It would have been superior in many respects to what I was learning, and the photos always showed these majestic campuses in some bucolic setting. Maybe New England. Plus, girls dig a man in uniform. Or so I’m told. Homeschooling wasn’t a big thing back then, and the stereotypes surrounding it were already cemented in place. And my parents were “intentional” about their beliefs. That meant dragging me to cultural events that I didn’t understand and making me eat healthy food that I despised.

And people are still being “intentional” about educating indoctrinating children, even when parents and communities are opposed to the indoctrination being provided. Not everyone, parents and students alike, are thrilled with the gender agenda replacing basic, age-appropriate education. And a group of teachers in the Midwest was undoubtedly well aware of the students who have walked out of class in protest of the LGBTQ curriculum, the reaction of Muslim parents over said agenda, and the protest outside of Dodger Stadium. And whether they will admit it or not, they have been rattled by the parents across the nation who have found their voices and told school boards where to get off.

So these Midwestern teachers got together online to swap tips, tricks, and ideas on how to subvert students without their parents ever finding out. But somebody tipped off the Daily Mail, which in many respects puts 99% of U.S. newspapers to shame. The Mail was able to access an online meeting hosted by the Midwest and Plains Equity Assistance Center, also known as MAP. MAP, by the way, receives funding from the Department of Education. Not that the news should surprise anyone. Thirty teachers logged in to the “workshop.” Topics included skirting new laws to help students with changing their names and pronouns, bathrooms, sports teams, and parental rights.  Some teachers said that they were adhering to the laws and rules, while others bragged about being subversive when it comes to students’ gender issues. Kimberly Martin, who is the DEI coordinator for Royal Oak Schools in Michigan, commented, “We’re working with our record-keeping system so that certain screens can’t be seen by the parents … if there’s a nickname in there we’re trying to hide.” Shea Martin, a “trans educator” and leftist blogger in Ohio, stated in part, “The stakes are very high for trans youth. I think that requires working subversively and quietly sometimes to make sure that trans kids have what they need.” She also talked about addressing sexuality with children 5 to 10 years old, admonishing attendees to be careful about reinforcing heterosexuality as “the norm.” Talking with parents about their children was never discussed, and the idea that automatically affirming gender identity might not be in the child’s best interests did not come up.

And yes, everyone had their pronouns displayed in the chat.

MAP covers Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. So it may be operating in a school district near you. Even yours. And they would prefer you keep your nose out of your child’s business. And if possible, they don’t even want you to know.

When I was in school, I was the standard-issue nerd until about my sophomore year. Then, because Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet were popular, I started dressing in the style of what was known as the “New Romantics.” That meant wearing suits and the skinny ties that dominated much of the ’80s. By my junior year, I was a preppy. There were kids who dressed like Cyndi Lauper, and those who were into the whole metal thing. Some wore athletic apparel. On the rare occasion that I have seen someone from my high school days, no one is dressing, thinking, or acting like they did in high school.

Kids will always follow trends to fit in and be at least liked if not popular. That applies to their dress, their music, and their companions. It probably goes back millions of years to when the first prehistoric kid came home wearing a lion skin instead of a bear skin and his dad said, “You’re not wearing that thing in my cave.” Or, “You’re not going out hunting mammoths dressed like that!”

The difference is that until now, allegedly trusted authority figures did not push kids to follow a trend. Or to have surgeries or take drugs that will drastically alter their lives, in some cases forever. Or teach them to indulge in sexual behavior long before they are ready. In short, there was a time when teachers cared more about their students than they did about themselves. Many still do, but far too many do not.

Uh oh: students at a Massachusetts middle school rose up in protest against a force-feeding of “pride” beliefs, leaving authorities scrambling to put down the rebellion before it could spread.

Friday, June 2, was expected to be just another run-of-the-mill episode of school authorities cramming the state religion down the throats and into the brains of impressionable youngsters. But something unexpected happened: some of the targeted minors stood up against the conditioning session. The New York Post reports:

The young protesters charged through Marshall [Simonds] Middle School in Burlington on June 2 because the school had encouraged its students to show their pride by wearing rainbow clothing, Nancy Bonassera, co-chair of the Burlington Equity Coalition, told the town’s Select Committee Monday.

“There was a counter-demonstration in response to what should have been a day to celebrate where students wore red white and blue clothing chanted ‘my pronouns are USA’ and destroyed rainbow decorations at the school,” said Bonassera.

The protesting students intimidated others who were gladly participating in the celebration [yeah, sure they were], which was organized by the school’s Spectrum club for LGBTQ+ students and allies, computer science teacher Diana Marcus told BCAT News.

Most of the students accepted and wore rainbow flag stickers that were offered by school administrators until they noticed their peers ripping them off and throwing them on the floor.

“Over the course of the day you could actually see a reduction in the number of students walking around in rainbow-colored clothing. It was really tough.” Marcus said, adding that the protest appeared planned.

Bonassera called on the school to crush the dissent by visiting “consequences” on the renegades, saying it should make an example of them in order to emphasize the town’s commitment to DEI. (Let that sink in.) “We also believe that without any direct and concrete action, these incidents will occur again and increase in severity,” she fretted. And that is the real fear of the rainbow enforcers.

Ten days later, on Monday, town leaders met to discuss the uprising. The next night, the Burlington School Committee met as well. Regional newser NECN covered it:

The Burlington School Committee met for the first time Tuesday night, since what officials call “an incident of homophobia” happened at Marshall Simonds Middle School.

“Unfortunately, during the pride theme day, there were behaviors that were hurtful to students and the school community. We are now involved in a healing process,” said chairwoman Martha Simon.

In opening remarks, school leaders shared their support for the LGBTQ+ community while pointing to the age of the students involved.

“Ascribing hate to middle school children who are not yet fully developed I think is a mistake,” said Burlington Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Eric Conti.

That’s funny because Conti himself had already accused the students of hate — aka “homophobia” — in his letter to parents two days after the incident. He also wrote, “We ask all staff, teachers, and members of the Burlington Public School community to join us in taking a stand against homophobia and identity-directed hateful actions.” And he assured everyone that “A list of resources on how to talk to adults and children about identity hate is available below.”

After the uprising, the school swiftly met with the offending students to “educate them about how their behaviors affect others, to take responsibility for their behaviors, and to help us become a more inclusive community where all of us feel that we belong,’ Burlington School Committee Chairwoman Martha Simon told the Boston Globe.  And a reinvigorated new DEI board is expected to be visited upon the recalcitrant student body in the future. The clampdown is underway!

The UK Daily Mail is the only major source that bothered to give a few lines of text to the brave protestors:

“Parents have told local news outlets their straight-identifying students said they felt forced to participate and were ‘offended’ by the Tennessee Williams quote that reiterated that the human heart is ‘curved like a road through the mountains’ and only lines and streets can be straight.”

‘My daughter just said, “You know, mom, that’s offensive to me, I am straight,”‘ Christine Steiner told WCVB. ‘Some of the kids threw the stickers on the ground. But I can only speak for my daughter, she just didn’t want to wear that to school. It’s not that she wanted to hurt anybody’s feelings.’

It goes without saying that religious, conservative, and/or philosophically opposed students are not at all made to feel safe, valued, or included at most schools. Nor was this protest acceptable, though schools nationwide tolerate or even encourage student walkouts and protests against Big Left’s targets all the time.

We GenXers are at the point in our continuum that all generations reach sooner or later, where we wonder what the hell is wrong with the kids today. But unlike all previous generations, who were horrified at youthful rebellion and disrespect for norms, we are baffled at today’s kids’ complete conformity and respect for authority and state religion. So today, I send great respect to the brave young heroes at Marshall Simonds who stood up for themselves and defied authority. All others take note: this is what speaking truth to power actually looks like.

Johns Hopkins University, which has a longtime reputation for academic excellence, is the source of groundbreaking research, and has a top teaching hospital, is another institution that has given itself completely to the woke mob. I’ve written before about how the transgender movement is erasing women, and Johns Hopkins University proves it.

Under the guise of inclusivity, JHU has redefined “lesbian” in its LGBTQ Glossary (which can be found within its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion resources section on the school’s website) in such a way that leaves little doubt what the true goal of transgenderism is.

According to the glossary, a “lesbian” is defined as “a non-man attracted to non-men.”

Included within the definition is a sentence explaining that the definition has been updated to be “more inclusive” to non-binary people.

“While past definitions refer to ‘lesbian’ as a woman who is emotionally, romantically, and/or sexually attracted to other women,” the page explains, “this updated definition includes non-binary people who may also identify with the label.”

Got it? You can’t say that lesbians are women attracted to other women because of non-binary people. Is that all clear? Okay, great. But here’s where that explanation falls apart. Here’s the definition of a “gay man,” as presented on the very same page.

Gay Man: A man who is emotionally, romantically, sexually, affectionately, or relationally attracted to other men, or who identifies as a member of the gay community. At times, “gay” is used to refer to all people, regardless of gender, who have their primary sexual and or romantic attractions to people of the same gender. “Gay” is an adjective (not a noun) as in “He is a gay man.”

Well, that’s weird, isn’t it? A lesbian can’t be a woman attracted to other women because of non-binary people, but a gay man can still be a “gay man.” Why is that? How does this make any sense? Why is it that transgender ideology is so anti-woman? Haven’t you noticed that women tend to be the victims of transgenderism?

Not only are biological men being allowed to play and dominate in women’s sports, but lesbians are also being bullied and harassed for not being inclusive when they don’t want to date “women” who are biological males. Earlier this year, a lesbian dating app informed its users that anyone who wasn’t willing to date men via the app was a transphobe and not welcome anymore. In 2021, the BBC profiled lesbians who were literally being pressured to have heterosexual sex by so-called transgender women. We’ve also seen efforts to erase women from language by referring to mothers as “birthing people” and women as “people who menstruate.”

It is obvious that this effort of Johns Hopkins to be “inclusive” isn’t merely a shallow attempt to appease the LGBTQ crowd. Rather, it specifically panders to the transgender movement, which has become the most celebrated subset of the LGBTQ community, and sadly, as with everything else about the movement, women are the real victims. Before long, they’ll have no privacy, opportunities, rights, or identity because of the transgender movement.

Who saw this coming? Bader Alzahrani, a Saudi national who stole a New Jersey school bus and wrote about jihad and “blood, destruction, Allah,” has been found incompetent to stand trial. And that makes total sense, right? After all, it isn’t as if he were someone who was actually dangerous, such as a MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporter. So why should the poor dear be put through the trauma of an actual trial?

Lehigh Valley Live reported Thursday that Alzahrani “is facing charges from incidents in January, including receipt of a stolen vehicle transportation of a stolen vehicle in federal court, and motor vehicle theft, burglary, theft of moveable property, criminal damage and criminal trespass in New Jersey court.” However, federal Judge Michael Hammer (wait, shouldn’t that be Judge Michael Gavel?) said, “based on a psychiatric report sealed by the court, Alzahrani has a mental disease or defect that makes him unable to understand the court proceedings and properly participate in his defense.”

This is perfectly reasonable once one understands that Judge Mike Hammer is part of an establishment that does not acknowledge the existence of Islamic jihad. The Obama administration removed all mention of Islam and jihad from counterterror training back in 2010, and since then it has become settled dogma among the political elites that “Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism,” as Hillary Clinton so memorably put it in November 2015. When confronted with an actual Islamic jihad terrorist, these fantasists claim he is mentally ill. Anyone who thinks God has told them he will reward them for killing people must be crazy, right?

Alzahrani does appear to be a committed jihadi. According to the criminal complaint against him, he not only stole the bus but apparently broke into an unoccupied residential home across the street from the parking lot where the bus was stolen. A backpack was found in that home, containing Alzahrani’s Saudi passport and a number of “other items that appeared to belong to Alzahrani.” Among these items were journals that contained entries in both English and Arabic. The entries were hair-raising.

Alzahrani wrote: “Why didn’t you slaughter the police officer who threw the Quran?” And: “This is a war, and there will be losses and collateral losses. … It is a war and y’all started, feel the rage.” The war he had in mind would be extremely bloody: “Destruction of the new world and the earth will be destroyed from all sides.” It was a religious war: “God I am ready for your orders. I want to live the rest of my life to serve you and the religion.” Alzahrani also wrote: “Blood, blood, destruction, destruction. Allah.”

Amid all this, Alzahrani had time to throw in the antisemitism that we have come to expect from hardcore jihadis: “Jews control everything,” he wrote, and “F**k each and every Jewish person.” He also added, in a blow to the feds’ “white supremacist” hunters, “F**k you privileged whitey.” According to the complaint, “the Journals also included entries concerning ‘Jihad’ and how Alzahrani did not intend to return to Saudi Arabia.” He also doesn’t seem to have placed a whole lot of emphasis on his studies, despite being in the United States on a student visa: “In or around October 2022, Alzahrani left the university in which he was enrolled and was reported missing.”

There is no indication from the criminal complaint about what exactly Alzahrani intended to do with his purloined school bus, or what connection, if any, the hate-filled and violent rants in his journals had with the bus theft. Nonetheless, anyone who could write the kinds of things that Alzahrani wrote clearly had malign intentions that would likely have manifested themselves in some form before he returned to Saudi Arabia. We can be grateful that all Alzahrani did was steal a bus, and that no one got hurt in the process. Nevertheless, this incident should make American authorities reexamine some of their basic assumptions, although that’s about as likely as the Democrats running Trump for president in 2024.

Now that he has been declared incompetent to stand trial, Alzahrani will likely be allowed to return to Saudi Arabia, and that will be that. We will almost certainly never find out exactly how he intended to bring blood and destruction upon non-Muslims in the United States for Allah. But Judge Mike Hammer and his colleagues would do well to study Islam’s theology of jihad before ruling on any similar cases in the future. After all, lives could be at stake.

Pride Month and Why Schools Are Sexualizing Children And what parents must do.

Our son was verbal as a toddler and still is today at 34.  He hit the “why” stage at about 3 ½ – you know, when a young child learns something new and then they want to know why.   But he didn’t just ask why once. When he got the first answer, it was followed by another why, and another, and sometimes another. It was exhausting for Mom but a welcome sign of his intelligence at the same time.

Speaking of asking why, since it is “Pride Month,” why not stop and ask why our kids are being hypersexualized at school?  We have experienced a cultural revolution over the last three years with the ferocious expansion of the trans and gender ideology agenda, particularly in K-12 public schools.

So, why have public schools taken on this dramatic, life-changing, social, and sexual mission to lure children away from their biological identity as male or female without parental involvement?  Surely this isn’t just the latest fad or societal craze.  There must be an underlying mission.

Let’s look at how this whirlwind has made its way into classrooms and bathrooms at the expense of reading, writing, and arithmetic, along with tossing a needed focus on accurate history, social studies, and science out the school window.   We must dig deep for this answer, carry it forward and then expose and stop those who have political and financial agendas to match it.

A partial answer to that started in 1980 with the founding of the Human Rights Campaign.  By the 1990s HRC was lobbying and ensuring donations were made to Democrats and Republicans alike. Their goal was to normalize LGBTQ resulting in gay marriage. With that, an aura was created that LGBTQ is a protected class, which laid the foundation for where we are today culturally.

Fast forward to 2021, why did President Biden sign an executive order on day one in support of protecting transgenderism in schools, and why would the White House create a Toolkit on Transgender Equality.  These actions are supported now by the US Department of Ed’s policies and ongoing communications to promote transgenderism in schools, including praising Pride Month.

We also must ask why LGBTQ groups like Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, Learning for Justice, Gender Spectrum, Advocates for Youth, Planned Parenthood, and Gay–Straight Alliance, along with educational groups such as CASEL and Panorama Education Inc., are flooding classrooms and burdening teachers with LGBTQ oriented curricula and profiting from it.

Through these materials, young children are being targeted with this agenda and being transmuted into something other than whom they were born to be at school.  Why?

Some scholars say we could go back thousands of years, but a look at Hungarian Marxist Gyorgy Lukács, deputy commissar of education in the Hungarian Soviet Republic in 1919, and founder of Western and cultural Marxism, is a good place to start.  Lukács called for the sexualization of children in schools to separate them from their families and their religion. Lukács knew it was essential to destabilize the family unit and shift culture by separating children from their families to achieve his goal of building a Marxist society. As a result, the state captured the allegiance of the next generation, transforming them into activists for the Marxist cause.

So here we are 100 years later, already sliding toward socialistic/Marxist governance in America. And what begins to rise with lightning speed since the new administration took power in 2020?  Drag queen shows, and dozens of LGBTQ books with sordid tales and pornographic pictures are constantly being used by teachers who employ the power of suggestion around pronouns, create secret gender plans, and offer gender transition hormones and surgical therapies, all without parental notice or consent.  Why don’t schools want to notify you as a parent? Because they want to separate your children from you – that’s why.

Parents, you must insist that these Marxist crusaders stand down.  Parents and educators must stand strong for the next generation with courage and clarity.  We must protect children from the profound familial, emotional, and psychological harm that has proven to follow sexualization in youth.  Not to mention the separation from you that is underway.

We were naturally created for family and designed to be who we were born to be.  The social and sexual manipulation of children is bad for kids, damaging to families, and destructive to our free society.

Today in America, institutions, from universities to governmental agencies and to corporate workplaces, continue to embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and associated ideologies closely linked to critical race theory (CRT). In the process Jews, particularly those on college campuses, find it impossible to live securely and safely within their Jewish identities.

The asserted goals of DEI are positive: to promote the representation, participation, and fair treatment of historically marginalized groups. In practice though, DEI, which require its adherents to follow its tenets blindly without doubt or reservation, has been deployed to advance a radical agenda that undermines fundamental American values by promoting equality of outcome over equality of opportunity, collective identity (race, gender, etc.) over individual character, censorship of opposing viewpoints over freedom of speech, and a victim culture that crudely bifurcates society into oppressors and oppressed.

In particular, DEI initiatives are weaponized against Jewish students, maliciously portraying them and the Jewish State as vicious oppressors. Kamau Bobb, the head of diversity at Google, wrote that Jews have an “insatiable appetite for war” and an “insensitivity to the suffering [of] others.” Nowhere is his attitude more prevalent than in the DEI offices that now populate colleges and universities across the country.

Some compare the present cultural change in America to the 1960s, but for the Jews, that analogy is incorrect. In the 1960s, there were still strong feelings of sympathy for the Jewish people who had survived the Holocaust and other terrible acts of persecution, such as the expulsion of nearly one million Jews from Muslim countries after the independence of Israel.

These led Jews to be early and prominent leaders in the Civil Rights movement, like Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. Rabbi Heschel was a close confidant of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. and marched alongside him in Selma in solidarity.

Today, Kenneth Marcus, Founder and Chairman of the Brandeis Center for the Protection of Human Rights Under Law, shares “[i]n the DEI programs, we’re seeing anti-Jewish stereotypes, biases, defamations, separation of Jews from other groups, and so-called ‘erasive antisemitism,’ which is to say denial of what it means to have a Jewish identity.”

Erasive antisemitism is destructive because it denies the ability of Jews – a people from geographic Asia, some of whom were forcibly exiled to Europe by the Roman forerunners of Western Civilization, who against all odds persistently maintained our own unique Jewish Civilization through two thousand years of statelessness – to claim and celebrate our own identity. One of the integral aspects of Jewish Civilization has always been the devout desire to restore our ancient nation in the Land of Israel.

A recent study showed that the private social media accounts of DEI officers at university campuses exhibit a remarkable level of virulence against the State of Israel, compared to generally positive feelings towards the People’s Republic of China. The authors noted that “[o]f the tweets about Israel, 96 percent were critical of the Jewish state, while 62 percent of the tweets about China were favorable. There were more tweets narrowly referencing “apartheid” in Israel than tweets indicating anything favorable about Israel whatsoever.

Regarding Israel, the word genocide was associated nine times, the term ethnic cleansing appears seven times, and the accusation that children are specifically targeted appears 27 times. Meanwhile, DEI staffers generally praised China and even wrote glowingly about Chinese efforts to reduce poverty in Tibet, where China is pursuing cultural genocide of the Tibetan people. The report determined that “DEI staff have an obsessive and irrational animus toward the Jewish state.” DEI staffers on university campuses are supposed to be advocates for students, helping them navigate issues of inclusivity and belonging. When DEI staff and administration hold clear animus and bias against the world’s only Jewish state, universities are implicitly and unfairly discriminating against Jewish students.

People are imperfect, so criticism always has a role to play. However, the irrational malice DEI staffers demonstrate against Israel is of a different order. Under the widely-adopted International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which is used by the U.S. State Department, examples of antisemitism include “Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor”; “Applying double standards by requiring of [Israel] a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation”; “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis”; and “Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.” All of these have been demonstrated by college DEI staffers – establishing college campuses as unfriendly and unwelcoming spaces for young Jews.

The average university now employs roughly 45 DEI staffers. These small armies rarely celebrate Jewish identity or work towards our inclusion; far more often, they exclude and marginalize Jews on campus and label them as white privilege, whether or not this matches their self-identity. Some states, notably Texas, are considering legislation that would ban DEI programs at public universities.

In the meantime, a generation of college students is being governed by an ideology hostile to Jews that is inculcating ideas about our community that are very different from the principles that our faith embodies, and the United States purports to champion. If American institutions continue to adopt and reflect extreme DEI ideologies, Jews will stuffer. For as George Orwell presciently wrote, “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”

CUNY Law School features hijab-wearing Jew-hater as its commencement speaker

NEW YORK — New York City’s public law school on Thursday released a video of a commencement ceremony held earlier this month, including a speech the city college system’s Jewish allies decried as discriminatory.

The speaker accused Israel of “indiscriminate” murder, encouraging “lynch mobs” and lauded resistance to “Zionism around the world.”

The City University of New York (CUNY) Law School had hidden the video after coming under criticism for the ceremony.

The speech marked the second consecutive year that the law school’s commencement speaker dedicated much of their address to anti-Israel rhetoric, and comes amid a years-long running battle over alleged widespread antisemitism in the city college system.

Much of the dispute centers around when anti-Zionism crosses into antisemitism, and is part of a larger debate on US college campuses and in progressive circles….

The law school’s commencement ceremony on May 12 featured anti-Israel activist Fatima Mohammed [sic] as its keynote speaker. The school’s commencement speaker is elected by the student body.

In her speech, Mohammad [sic] repeatedly lashed Israel, linking the Jewish state to white supremacy, oppression, colonialism and violence.

“This is the law school that passed and endorsed BDS on a student and faculty level, recognizing that absent a critical imperialism settler colonialism lens, our work and the school’s mission statement is void of value as Israel continues to indiscriminately rain bullets and bombs on worshipers, murdering the old, the young, attacking the funerals and graveyards as it encourages lynch mobs,” she said.

“We are the student body and faculty that fought back when the investor-focused administration attempted to cross the BDS picket line, saying loud and clear that Palestine can no longer be the exception to our pursuit of justice, that our morality will not be purchased by investors,” she said.

Mohammad [sic] also said that CUNY “continues to train IDF soldiers” to carry out “violence globally,” blaming the school system for being “committed to its donors, not to its students.”

She repeatedly linked racism against Black Americans to Israel, and said Jewish New York Senator Chuck Schumer had “dignified” the killing of Jordan Neely, a Black man, on a New York City subway.

“May we rejoice in the corners of our New York City bedroom apartments and dining tables, may it be fuel for the fight against capitalism, racism, imperialism, and Zionism around the world,” she said in closing.

Mohammed [sic] is a member of CUNY Law’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, which has spearheaded BDS and other anti-Israel initiatives on campus.

During the commencement ceremony, the law school graduates also heckled New York City Mayor Eric Adams at the mention of his career on the police force, and turned their backs to Adams while he spoke to them.

The ceremony was closed to the press, and afterward, CUNY Law made the video non-public. CUNY’s central administration and CUNY Law did not respond to requests to make the video public earlier this month.

The law school made the video available online on Thursday, along with other past commencement events. Both pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel groups had pressured the school to release the video….

I can’t imagine how difficult it is to be a Christian in education these days, particularly in places like the UK that don’t have First-Amendment speech protections. It seems like Christian teachers can’t say much of anything without getting in trouble anymore, and one teacher in the UK is reaping the consequences of staying true to his convictions.

In 2017, Cherwell School in Oxford fired Joshua Sutcliffe, a math teacher — or “maths” as they call it in the UK — for referring to two girls as, well, girls. An innocent statement of “well done, girls” to two female students who had completed a problem led to controversy because one of the girls identified as a boy.

Trouble followed Sutcliffe wherever he went. He transferred to a Catholic school and landed in hot water for recommending an Allie Beth Stuckey video about masculinity without presenting alternate views. He faced criticism for calling Mohammed a false prophet and for saying that he was opposed to same-sex marriage.

But it’s the “misgendering” of a girl who wants to be a boy that’s the biggest mark on his record, and it led to a hefty ban from a government board.

“In an outcome believed to be the first of its kind, a Christian maths teacher has been banned by the Secretary of State for Education for ‘bringing the profession into disrepute’ for not using the preferred pronouns of a female student who identified as a boy,” reports Christian Concern (emphasis in the original). “A Teaching Regulation Authority (TRA) professional conduct panel has, with the backing of Education Secretary Gillian Keegan, ruled that Joshua Sutcliffe was guilty of unprofessional conduct and has banned him from teaching in any capacity for at least two years and potentially indefinitely.”

Parents rallied to Sutcliffe’s support. “Joshua was very good at his job and teaching,” said one parent. “Patient, kind, and considerate, he was respectful and good at explaining things. My daughter enjoyed being taught by him and it was a very positive experience. I have never witnessed him being unkind to anyone.”

Another parent, whose son Sutcliffe had been tutoring for several years, said, “Joshua helped my son become an A* student for GCSE Maths. Joshua has never been inappropriate in any way. He is a gentleman, he is considerate, he is trustworthy, professional, and good timekeeping. He is like a mentor to my son. He is very focused on tutoring my son to make sure he really understands Maths.”

The Christian Legal Centre is assisting Sutcliffe in an appeal, citing some inconsistencies. “The ruling against Joshua is also at odds with the Education Secretary’s recent defense of a teacher at a private all-girls school who was accused of ‘misgendering’ after saying ‘good afternoon girls,’” Christian Concern points out. In the meantime, Sutcliffe says he’s “heartbroken” and doesn’t know how he’ll support his family.

“This ruling sends a clear message that Christian teachers can no longer express their beliefs in the teaching profession,” said Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, in a statement. “If you are, you will be hounded out and barred from being in the classroom.”

“For loving Jesus, speaking truth in his personal time, and responding to questions from students on the Christian faith, he has been hounded out of the teaching profession,” Williams added. “Joshua will appeal, and we will stand with him for as long as it takes to get justice.”

We should pray that Sutcliffe gets the justice that he deserves.

At the end of the day, the pride cult hates Judeo-Christian values and wants nothing more than to tear them down. We must stand our ground.
