BOOM! Marjorie Taylor Greene Ends Impeachment Week with the Big Kahuna!
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene announced the filing of articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and other top law enforcement officials. Greene alleged President Biden's administration has "weaponized their office to target their political opponents." She listed several offenses against law enforcement leaders, including the "Department of Injustice" and a "two-tiered justice system." Greene also accused President Biden of compromising national security by allowing "approximately six million illegals from over 170 countries to invade our country" and depriving border patrol of resources. Greene, a high-profile figure within the conservative base, has been a persistent critic of the administration.

May 18, 2023: So far this fiscal year, 125 known, suspected terrorists apprehended at Southern border

The Biden regime is either fantastically incompetent or it wants the influx of migrants in order to secure a Democrat majority for generations to come, and to weaken our national character and national unity, so as to pave the way for an authoritarian socialist internationalist state. Which one do you think it is?
“125 known, suspected terrorists apprehended at southern border fiscal year to date,” by Bethany Blankley, The Center Square, May 15, 2023:
(The Center Square) – An Afghan national on the federal Terrorist Screening Dataset (TSDS) was apprehended attempting to enter the U.S. illegally near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in San Diego, California.
The TSDA is the federal government’s database that includes sensitive information about terrorist identities. It originated as a consolidated terrorist watch list “to house information on known or suspected terrorists (KSTs) but has evolved over the last decade to include additional individuals who represent a potential threat to the United States, including known affiliates of watch listed individuals,” CBP states….
In fiscal 2022, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations agents apprehended 67 KSTs at ports of entry and 98 between ports of entry at the southern border, totaling 165. At northern border ports of entry, they apprehended 313. Combined, CBP OFO agents apprehended 478 KSTs in fiscal 2022.
Fiscal year to date, OFO agents have apprehended 45 KSTs at ports of entry and 80 between ports of entry at the southern border, totaling 125. At the northern border, the numbers are still higher: 205 at ports of entry and two between ports of entry. So far, that’s 332 this fiscal year who’ve been apprehended trying to enter the U.S….
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas continues to claim the border is closed and that agents are prepared and able to handle the influx of people. DHS also expanded the use of America’s first ever CBPOne App to allow people to apply to enter from other countries while not even on U.S. soil. He’s also directed thousands of federal personnel to “scale up processing efforts.”…

A feature of a divided government, especially when the House of Representatives is not controlled by the president’s party, is “debt-ceiling chicken.” The president’s party tries to bluff, with threats of a default, the House, which is responsible for initiating money bills, into giving the president whatever he wants, usually more money for redistribution, and no cuts to entitlement spending. The House does the same thing, usually pressuring the other party to accept spending cuts.
The cliff they’re both speeding towards is an unprecedented default on the government’s debt, which currently stands at $31 trillion. Each side calculates that voters will blame the other party, which will slam the brakes first as the cliff approaches. This year Joe Biden, or whatever Edgar Bergan or Edith Wilson is actually calling the shots until a week ago took a hard stand against any negotiations on raising the debt ceiling with a “clean bill” as the early June deadline looms.
The spectators of this show usually decry the “partisanship” and lack of “bipartisan” cooperation the two parties are exhibiting. Yet disputes over the budget illustrate what the Founders had in mind when they crafted a divided and balanced government––to exploit this factional competition, which reflects a flawed human nature and its passions and interests, in order to protect freedom by setting ambition against ambition. Also, this process can force a more careful consideration of a proposed policy, sifting out the dangerous features and bringing to light better ones.
Money is integral to this process. The desire for gain accompanies ambition and the lust for power. The ensuing disparities in property, as Madison pointed out, are the cause of rival political factions. Control of the public fisc allows factions to pursue their ideological aims at the expense of others.
During the writing of the Constitution, Gouverneur Morris similarly identified the major factions as comprising the poor and the rich, those with “great personal property” and the “aristocratical spirit.” The “Rich will strive to establish dominion & enslave the rest. They always did. They always will.” To check the ambition of the “rich,” “the popular [non-elite] interest will be combined [against] it. There will be mutual check and mutual security.”
Benjamin Franklin, in the convention’s discussion about compensation for the president, made a similar point in terms of government offices: “There are two passions which have a powerful influence in the affairs of men. These are ambition and avarice; the love of power, and the love of money,” which when united in one man “have the most violent effects. . . . The struggle for them [in England] are the true sources of factions which are perpetually dividing the Nation, distracting its councils, hurrying sometimes into fruitless & mischievous wars.” A power like that of the proposed president will attract “the bold and the violent, the men of strong passions and indefatigable activity in their selfish pursuits.”
These arguments based on a passionate and corruptible human nature explain why the Founders gave the “power of the purse” to the House of Representatives in Article 1.7.1.: “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives, but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”
The fuel of ambition is money, as we have seen over the last two years as the Biden administration has borrowed trillions of dollars in order to subsidize the Dems' political clients like public school teachers and corporate “green energy” grifters. Slowing down the growth in the yearly deficits that feed our monstrous debt lessens the Dems’ power to finance bad policies.
But why the House? Remember, originally the Senate was appointed by state legislatures, and so only indirectly accountable to the people. Given that money is the fuel of ambition, the Founders argued that money bills should originate in a branch whose members were directly elected every two years, to counter the more powerful Senators who have six-year terms.
As future vice president Elbridge Gerry said, the House “was more immediately the representatives of the people, and it was a maxim that the people ought to hold the purse strings.” The House of Representatives, James Madison added later, “were chosen by the people, and supposed to be best acquainted with their interests, and ability.” The “power of the purse,” in addition to acting as a check on the whole government, protected federalism by giving the sovereign states leverage over the greater powers of the Senate to check the president.
That’s why George Mason argued against giving the Senate the “power of the purse”: “Should the [Senate] have the power of giving away the people’s money, they might soon forget the Source from whence they received it. We might soon have an aristocracy.” Benjamin Franklin agreed: “It was always of importance that the people should know who had disposed of their money, and how it was disposed of.” Again highlighting the foundational belief in a flawed human nature and its lust for power, Mason continued, “An aristocratic body, like the screw in mechanics, working its way by slow degrees, and holding fast whatever it gains, should ever be suspected of an encroaching tendency. ––The purse strings should never be put into its hands.”
Finally, James Madison argued for the House controlling money bills as necessary checking the less democratic branches of the government: “The House of Representatives can not only refuse, but they alone can propose the supplies requisite for the support of government. They in a word hold the purse, that powerful instrument . . . This power over the purse, may in fact be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon with which any constitution can arm the immediate representatives of the people, for obtaining a redress of every grievance, and for carrying into effect every just and salutary measure.”
This last argument explodes the claim today, usually from the technocratic progressives, that the House carrying out its Constitutional duty to check an overweening federal government is “obstructionism.” The only thing they are obstructing is the progressive ambitions for power and dominance at the expense of the Constitution and our unalienable rights.
And make no mistake: Our government’s relentlessly growing debt fueled by deficit spending paid for by borrowing; and its swelling entitlements long headed for bankruptcy, are now approaching disaster in a decade. Medicare and Social Security––which, along with other health care programs, consume nearly half the annual budget–– especially are at risk. Medicare Part A, covering hospital care, has enough money to pay benefits until 2028. The Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund which funds retirement and survivors benefits, will run out of money in 2034.
Meanwhile, the Dems keep squandering money on “green energy” subsidies and other pork while they fret over “transgender” pronouns, parents protesting over inappropriate public-school curricula, and phantom “white supremacists.” Worse, military preparedness and national security spending is stinted even in the face of China’s naked ambitions.
As Jeffrey H. Anderson writes, “While real per capita defense spending has dropped, Great Society spending has skyrocketed. To quote [The American Main Street Initiative’s] Quick Hits, ‘In real per capita spending, we spent more than five times as much on defense in 1975 as on Medicare and Medicaid combined. By 2019, we spent 56% more on Medicare and Medicaid than on defense.’ What’s more, ‘In 1975, the costs of Medicare and Medicaid consumed 7% of all federal tax revenue. In 2019, they cleared 30%.’”
Every nation, as Adam Smith famously said, has a lot of ruin in it. But our ruin will come sooner than we think if Republicans fail to do their Constitutional duty as the Founders intended, and at least slow down our feckless spending of money we don’t have. And we the people need to cheer them on and ignore the propaganda from the Dems and their media jackals. Winning the game of debt-ceiling chicken is a good place to start getting our country back on course.

Rep. Boebert Intros Bill to Repeal RINO Gun Control & Defend 2nd Amendment
Lauren Boebert Introduced A Very Short Bill Meant To Undo Any Bipartisan Cooperation On Gun Control
BY F. RIEHL
Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert introduced the Shall Not Be Infringed Act to repeal the gun control provisions and every Second Amendment infringement passed by the 117th Congress and signed into law.
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert said, “I unapologetically support the Second Amendment. No amount of gun control will ever eliminate evil in our society, and unsurprisingly, the data has shown time and again that gun control does not decrease gun violence. Just look at Chicago or New York, where gun control has created criminal safe havens since evildoers know their victims will be unarmed. It is ironic that the same people who are calling to defund the police also want to leave everyday Americans defenseless. I will always stand against this nonsense and stand for law-abiding Americans and the Constitution.”
Congressman Byron Donalds said, “Last Congress, Pelosi chose to make restricting our Second Amendment rights a staple of her legislative agenda, but her unconstitutional edicts will not stand. Our Second Amendment rights ‘shall not be infringed.’ I’m proud to stand alongside Rep. Boebert in this legislative fight for American freedom by repealing Pelosi’s tyrannical gun control platform.”
Congressman Eric Burlison said, “Congress should preserve our rights, not infringe them. I applaud Congresswoman Boebert for leading on this bill to protect Americans’ God-given, constitutionally protected Second Amendment rights.”
Congressman Andy Ogles stated, “Last Congress, Biden and his Democrat cohorts in the House went after Americans’ basic right to bear arms. From significantly increasing the ATF’s budget to going after lawful gun owners to designating over $700 million taxpayer dollars to bribe states to pass red flag laws, Democrats did not hold back from trampling the rights of Americans. I am proud to cosponsor Rep. Boebert’s legislation and affirm that the right to bear arms granted in the Second Amendment of the Constitution shall not be infringed.”
Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger stated, “Joe Biden and the Radical Left have made it clear they don’t care about your safety. As crime rates continue to spiral out of control throughout the country, now is not the time to leave law-abiding Americans defenseless. I look forward to dismantling the unconstitutional anti-gun laws implemented by Democrats and putting an end to their assault on our Second Amendment Rights.”
Congressman Warren Davidson said, “Freedom surrendered is rarely reclaimed, yet it must be restored to protect our constitutional Second Amendment rights. The Second Amendment is essential to defending our freedom, and it shall not be infringed.”
Aidan Johnston, Federal Affairs Director, Gun Owners of America said, “Congress had no authority to restrict the Second Amendment, which is why it’s so important to repeal the gun control that Senator Cornyn helped anti-gunners pass last summer. We were proud to collaborate with Rep. Boebert on this legislation, which truly lives up to its name by ensuring the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.”
Hunter King, Director of Federal Affairs, National Association for Gun Rights stated, “The Second Amendment couldn’t be more clear: the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Under Nancy Pelosi, Congress passed sweeping gun control that threatened the Second Amendment rights of every American. National Association for Gun Rights is proud to support Rep. Boebert’s bill that will undo the damage Democrats and RINOs created. If you give gun control advocates an inch, they will take a mile. That is why we will never compromise on Americans’ absolute right to keep and bear arms.”
Shall Not Be Infringed Act in the 117th Congress Background:
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert introduced H.R. 3212, the Shall Not Be Infringed Act, to repeal the gun control provisions and every Second Amendment infringement passed by the 117th Congress and signed into law, including provisions contained in (1) the so-called Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, (2) the 2023 Appropriations Omnibus, (3) the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2023, and (4) the 2023 NDAA.
Congresswoman Boebert’s Shall Not Be Infringed Act protects the Second Amendment by repealing the following provisions from the so-called Bipartisan Safer Communities Act:
- Repealing a program bribing states to pass red flag laws.
- Repealing the decision to criminalize private transfers by reclassifying private sellers as gun dealers.
- Repealing the federal waiting period for some adults to purchase rifles.
- Repealing laws that disarm adults for mere misdemeanors.
Congresswoman Boebert’s Shall Not Be Infringed Act protects the Second Amendment by repealing the following provisions from the 2023 Appropriations Omnibus bill:
- Cutting the ATF’s 14.1% budget increase.
- Cutting $14.4 million for the ATF to maintain its illegal gun registry.
- Cutting $700+ million in bribes for states to pass red flag laws.
- Reversing the decision to weaponize the VA to attack veterans with gun confiscation.
- Defunding the Department of Education’s efforts to mandate so-called safe storage.
- Defunding VA and HHS programs that track where veterans are storing their guns.
- Defunding programs that discourage women from exercising their Second Amendment rights.
- Defunding research that labels conservative gun owners as dangerous right-wing radicals.
Congresswoman Boebert’s Shall Not Be Infringed Act protects the Second Amendment by repealing the following provisions from the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2023:
- Repealing the law that directs law enforcement to criminally investigate people who fail firearm background checks, even though 90% of the time the system falsely denies a law-abiding citizen their right to bear arms.
- Defunding is a program that enables the ATF to deputize local police to enforce federal gun laws.
Congresswoman Boebert’s Shall Not Be Infringed Act protects the Second Amendment by repealing the 2023 NDAA’s provisions creating a firearm storage provision that could be used to later justify a nationwide mandatory so-called safe-storage program.
Cosponsors of Congresswoman Boebert’s Shall Not Be Infringed Act include: Rep. Mary Miller (IL-15), Rep. Troy Nehls (TX-22), Rep. Ralph Norman (SC-05), Rep. Andy Ogles (TN-05), Rep. Byron Donalds (FL-19), Rep. Paul Gosar (AZ-09), Rep. Jeff Duncan (SC-03), Rep. Warren Davidson (OH-08), Rep. Diana Harshbarger (TN-01), Rep. Dan Bishop (NC-08), Rep. Matt Rosendale (MT-02), Rep. Eric Burlison (MO-07), Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14), Rep. Doug LaMalfa (CA-01), Scott Perry (PA-10), and Rep. Josh Brecheen (OK-02).
Gun Owners of America (GOA) and the National Association for Gun Rights support Congresswoman Boebert’s Shall Not Be Infringed Act.
GOA produced a fact sheet on the bill that can be viewed here.

Senate Democrats Host Event Celebrating Islamic Terrorists Killing Jews
Rep. Tlaib event honored members of Islamic Jihad terrorist group at war with Israel.

In Israel, Inga Avramyan, 80 years old, died under a collapsing ceiling. The elderly immigrant from Armenia heard the sirens warning of an Islamic terror strike but did not reach the bomb shelter in time because she was trying to help her disabled husband make it along with her.
Sergei, Inga’s husband, had lost a leg in a car accident and needed a wheelchair to get around. The rocket smashed through the side of the building, the ceiling collapsed and Inga was killed.
Four days before the Islamic Jihad rocket killed Inga, Senator Bernie Sanders helped host an event promoting Islamic Jihad in the Senate building.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy had canceled a House event by antisemitic politician Rep. Rashida Tlaib commemorating ‘Nakba Day’: the Arab name for mourning the failed effort by invading Muslim armies to exterminate Israel’s Jewish population.
“I think it’s outrageous that Speaker McCarthy threw them out of a room they had reserved,” Sanders fumed.
The socialist senator then arranged to have the terrorist supporters host their event promoting the destruction of the Jewish State by abusing his chairmanship of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) committee to use its hearing room.
What does the Senate’s oversight of pensions have to do with destroying Israel? Ask Bernie.
Inside the event, Noura Erakat boasted, “It is of utmost importance to say that here because we are within the very institution that has sustained the ongoing Nakba.”
The “institution” is the United States government and the ‘Nakba’ is the existence of Israel.
In Canada, Erakat generated a political controversy when an Ontario New Democratic Party (ONDP) politician retweeted her message calling dead Islamic Jihad leader Khader Adnan a “martyr”. In the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington D.C., Erakat read a quote about “resisting”, a euphemism for terrorism, from the dead Islamic Jihad terrorist.
Islamic Jihad is not just a problem for Israel. The terrorist group was spun off from the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic Jihad operation in Egypt. That terror group, often described as Egyptian Islamic Jihad, to avoid confusion, became part of Al Qaeda and eventually took it over.
In the months before 9/11, Islamic Jihad and Al Qaeda became a single organization. When Al Qaeda’s hijacked planes killed thousands of Americans, the U.S. Capitol, suspected to be the target of the last plane, was rapidly evacuated.
Now Al Qaeda’s stepbrother terrorists are hailed in the offices of the United States Senate.
Khader Adnan, hailed in the offices of the United States Senate, has been described by the media as an “activist”, “detainee” and a “hunger striker”. Those are long-winded ways of saying, terrorist. The “martyr”, whose hunger strike was a prolonged suicide plan, can be seen on video at the funeral of another terrorist urging the crowd on to more attacks.
“Who among you is Hassan Abu Zaid [i.e., suicide bomber, who murdered seven people]” he demanded. “Who among you is the next Martyrdom-seeker? Who among you has the next explosive belt? Who among you will carry out the next shooting?”
The New York Times responded by comparing the Islamic Jihad terrorist to Gandhi. And the Senate allowed Bernie Sanders to hijack its facilities to hold an event promoting the destruction of Israel and celebrating an Islamic terrorist.
There’s no room in the Senate to discuss an 80-year-old woman crushed under a ceiling while trying to help her amputee husband reach safety, but there’s always room to praise terrorists.
It’s not Noura Erakat’s first time in Congress.
When Pelosi and the Democrats took Congress, Erakat, a key BDS figure, became a legal counsel for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. She attained this position even though her uncle, Saeb Erakat, was a top official in the PLO terrorist group. Her cousin, Ahmed Erekat, was killed carrying out a Car Jihad attack after injuring a female officer.
This is the murderous terrorism that House and Senate Democrats choose to enable.
Senator Bernie Sanders who, when politically convenient, occasionally claims to be Jewish was not outraged over the murder of Inga Avramyan by Islamic Jihad terrorism, he was outraged that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy had denied Rep. Rashida Tlaib space in which to promote the terrorists trying to kill Jews.
The only reason that Rep. Tlaib had to resort to the socialist senator’s assistance was that Republicans held the House Majority. Had Pelosi and the Democrats still been in charge, there is no doubt that the event celebrating terrorism and attacking Israel would have gone forward.
“People should be allowed to congregate, to have discussions, to express their viewpoints and ideas,” Rep. Pete Aguilar, the third-ranking House Democrat, had complained about Speaker McCarthy’s decision to cancel Tlaib’s ‘Nakba’ event “That’s who we are.”
Supporting Islamic terrorists killing Jews is who the Democrats are.
Senate Democrats, who could have intervened and stopped this ugliness, carefully ignored it. Senate Majority Leader Schumer’s allies claimed that he was “totally unaware of this event.”
Senator Bill Cassidy, the Republican ranking member on the pension committee, condemned Senate Democrats for allowing the hearing room to be used to “legitimize anti-Semitic bigotry.”
Once controversial, antisemitic House members like Rep. Tlaib and Rep. Omar, have been embraced by Biden and the Democrat establishment. When Speaker McCarthy booted Rep. Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee, Democrats held the line in supporting the antisemitic politician. The hatefest at the Dirksen Office Building shows where the Democrats are headed.
Democrats defiled the Capitol by turning it into a haven for celebrating the Islamic Jihad terrorists who are backed by Iran and are closely related to Al Qaeda. They did it while Islamic Jihad was firing rockets into Israel in a ruthless effort to kill any Jewish people in their path.
Islamic Jihad celebrated Inga’s murder by gloating that “our Palestinian people raise their heads high with this blessed and sacred response from the Palestinian resistance.”
What better way for the Arab Muslim invaders to “raise their heads high” than with the “blessed and sacred” murder of an 80-year-old Jewish woman.
Perhaps Senator Bernie Sanders can arrange to allow Rep. Rashida Tlaib to hold an event celebrating this latest heroic “resistance” of the Islamic Jihad in the Senate office building.
