Christopher Wray, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), said that a Jordanian national who resides in Houston, Texas, has openly expressed his support for the extermination of Jewish people.

The federal count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person is now being brought against 20-year-old Sohaib Abuayyash.

Wray referenced Abuayyash when testifying on Tuesday before the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security, however, he did not use his name. Wray spoke about risks facing the nation in terms of possible copycat terrorists, and also mentioned a rise in anti-Semitism.

“We have seen that with an individual we arrested last week in Houston had studied how to build bombs and posted online about his support for killing Jews,” Wray said during the testimony.

Wray also said that the biggest concern facing the U.S. was violent religious extremists who drew inspiration from Middle Eastern terrorist attacks in order to study them further and later plan attacks on Americans, referring to Abuayyash.

Abuayyash is a Jordanian national who travels with a Palestinian passport, according to the criminal complaint that was filed. In 2020, he filed an asylum application in the United States, which is currently pending.

The lawsuit states that the 20-year-old is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition due to his present legal status in the United States.

The document included screenshots from his social media posts on Instagram and TikTok that show Abuayyash was utilizing several different firearms at local shooting ranges in Houston.

“Abuayyash has been in direct contact with others who share a radical mindset, has been conducting physical training, and has trained with weapons possibly to commit an attack,” the criminal complaint states.

A judge signed documents expressing that since there are no conditions to ensure that the community or anyone else is safe, Abuayyash should be kept in custody until his trial date, just to be safe.

The FBI released the following statement but also said that they were unable to comment on the case at this time due to its pending status.

The statement reads: “The FBI is continuing to monitor threats associated with the Israel-HAMAS conflict in the United States and overseas. As the conflict continues, the FBI has seen an increase in reports of threats against Jewish, Muslim, and Arab communities and institutions, raising our concern that violent extremists and lone offenders motivated by or reacting to ongoing events could target these communities. We take all potential threats seriously and are working closely with our law enforcement partners to determine their credibility, share information, and take appropriate investigative action. As we are communicating with our law enforcement partners, faith communities, and others, the Public Service Announcement linked below is being released by the FBI and DHS to the American public to help protect our communities. We ask members of the public to immediately report anything or anyone they consider suspicious to law enforcement or contact their local FBI Office: www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices. Tips can also be submitted to tips.fbi.gov or 1-800-CALL FBI.”

“Lone actors” who keep their extremist ideas to themselves also worry the FBI, according to the agency. They often aim to assault “soft, familiar targets” using weapons that are easy to acquire, a spokeswoman warned. Additionally, it is much more difficult to locate, look into, and dissuade those individuals before they execute their schemes.

The Anti-Defamation League’s southwest regional director, Mark Toubin, stated that his organization has seen a major rise in anti-Semitic events following the October 7th Hamas attacks. The group reportedly received 312 complaints of incidents from October 7th to October 23rd, compared to 64 nationally during the same time last year.

“Unfortunately, there are those who have said that those kinds of heinous crimes are justified because of the conflict, and when you start from there, you can only imagine what kind of green light it provides other people,” Toubin asserted.

Lizzie Fletcher, a Congresswoman and member of the House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism, posted the following statement highlighting the arrest of the Jordanian national.

“I am deeply concerned by reports of a possible terrorist plot to attack the Jewish community in Houston. As antisemitic threats against Jews in the United States have reached historic levels in recent weeks, it is critical that we ensure the safety of Jewish families in Texas’s Seventh Congressional District and across our country. I am grateful and relieved that the FBI acted swiftly to thwart any planned attack, and I am requesting an immediate briefing from the FBI to discuss efforts to keep our community’s Jewish families safe,” Fletcher said.

Genocidal Antisemitism in the Arab Media

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/11/genocidal-antisemitism-in-the-arab-media;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

The antisemitism in the Arab media has reached Hitlerian depths. Arab propagandists deplore what they describe as Israel’s “genocide” of the Gazans; they have no answer to those who point out that Gaza’s population was 400,000 in 1967 when Israel took it over and was 1.3 million in 2005, when Israel left the Strip, which means the population more than tripled under Israeli rule, which does not bespeak a “genocide.” The population of Gaza is 2.2 million today, so it seems that the Israelis have not done a thing since 2005 to promote a “genocide” in neighboring Gaza. In fact, for a “genocidal state,” Israel has a most incongruous history. Of the eight wars it has had to fight against various permutations and combinations of Arab states and terror groups, Israel did not begin a single one. But it won all eight wars, and none of those victories was followed by a “genocide” of the enemy. In fact, Israel has supplied water, fuel, and electricity to Gaza until this latest war.

Those who comment on Israel and the Palestinians need to familiarize themselves with how, in the Arab mass media, Jews are being murderously maligned in prose that would make Der Stürmer proud. A roundup of some of the most recent examples of this condemnation, not just of Israelis but of “the Jews,” can be found here: “Arab antisemitic articles are getting worse: now they are praising Hitler, praying for genocide,” Elder of Ziyon, October 30, 2023:

…Cairo24 uses the Gaza war as an excuse to praise Hitler:

What did Hitler say about the Jews? In light of the escalating events by the Zionist occupation towards the Palestinians, especially children, women and the elderly, some are searching for the most prominent things said by Adolf Alois Hitler, the Nazi German politician. He wanted to exterminate them from the face of the earth, so his view was correct. He told them that they were the cause of the devastation that was befalling the world, so he burned them….

Algeria’s El Khabar has an article that says:

…There is no evil that has spread in the world unless these bastards are behind it. The Jew Karl Marx was behind atheistic communism, the other Jew Durkheim was behind the sociology that tampered with the family, the Jew Freud based his psychology on scandalous sex, and the Jew Sater [sic for “Sartre,” who was not Jewish] promoted pornography.

Egypt’s El Balad publishes a prayer for the genocide of Jews. Here is a small part:

…Oh God, destroy the Jews in Palestine, the children of monkeys and pigs, and make their women barren, O God, and may their children be dispersed….

A columnist in Saudi Arabia’s Al Madina writes:

The current events in Gaza have proven the truth of the Holy Qur’an about the Jews, in their many hideous characteristics, including their constant practice of killing. If they did not kill others, they would kill themselves, meaning they would fight among themselves. And God says: (Then it is you who kill yourselves) in addition to their killing of the prophets, and whoever kills the prophets will not There is no doubt that killing Arabs and Palestinians is easy for them, and the doctrine of Israel’s army, police, and Mossad intelligence is killing, then killing, then more killing!…

To these genocidal maniacs, Hitler is a hero. So Stalin, who hated the Jews with not quite equivalent fervor, but unlike Hitler, didn’t live long enough to act on his hatred. He was, after all, just getting started with the “Doctors’ Plot” when he died in March 1953. It is crystal clear, to these Arab journalists and academics, that “the doctrine of Israel’s army, police, and Mossad intelligence is killing, then killing, then more killing!” There can be no compromise with such murderous and evil people; the only way to deal with them is to rid the world of them. Hitler did not kill all the Jews, according to the apocryphal story that many Arabs believe, because he supposedly wanted to keep some alive to show the world why they deserved to be killed. But the unstated premise is that now there is no longer any reason to let Jews survive. The Arabs need to understand that, and not leave Hamas to fight alone. In fact, it’s a war to be fought by all MuslimsAnd not just by Muslims, but by all those marching across the world in support of Hamas and calling for the disappearance of Israel (“Palestine shall be free/From the river to the sea”), in rallies all over the Western world, in Paris, London, and New York City. It’s open season on Jews even outside the Arab world, as the terrified Jews who landed in Dagestan discovered, as local Muslims tried to lynch them. Had the police not been there, the mob would certainly have pulled the Jews and Israelis who had just arrived from Tel Aviv limb from limb.

In Pakistan, the youngest senator in the history of the country, Afnan Ullah Khan, posted a picture of Hitler with the caption “Now we know why Hitler killed the Jews.” Khan is not the usual know-nothing; he’s a graduate of Oxford, which makes all the more horrifying his genocidal sentiments. But from Dagestan and Pakistan to America and Europe, and thence to Algeria, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, annihilationist antisemitism is becoming, in every sense, and not only among Muslims. all the rage.

Elder of Ziyon thinks we should pay close attention to the spread of the antisemitic virus and its main carriers in the Arab and Muslim media. I can’t disagree.

New York Times Provides Hamas with Information on IDF Positions in Gaza

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/11/new-york-times-provides-hamas-with-information-on-idf-positions-in-gaza;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

The New York Times has been publishing maps of Gaza, based on satellite imagery, that provide information on IDF positions in the northern part of the Strip, including the location of large numbers of tanks and armored vehicles, that are now making their way to encircle Gaza City. This is information that Hamas did not possess, but now it does. Thanks to the New York Times, Hamas is no longer eyeless in Gaza. Elder of Ziyon charges the Times with providing aid to a recognized terrorist group. His analysis can be found here: “New York Times is providing Hamas with intelligence. How is this not a violation of US law against aiding terror organizations?,” Elder of Ziyon, October 30, 2023:

Every day, the New York Times writes exactly what Israel is doing in this war. Today, for example:

Israel has provided limited details about the invasion, four days into what an Israeli official described as an “extended ground operation.” But imagery verified by The Times indicates large groups of tanks and other armored vehicles making their way deep into Gaza, as Israel’s military has continued to strike nearby buildings from the air.

In northwest Gaza, a satellite image taken on Monday morning by Planet Labs shows large groups of armored vehicles advancing about three miles south of the northern border near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea….

Photographs also show a second group of armored vehicles near the city of Beit Hanoun, on the northeast edge of the Gaza Strip. Beit Hanoun had already been significantly damaged by airstrikes in the past several weeks….

This is the New York Times providing intelligence to Hamas, using satellite photos and other information sources that Hamas doesn’t have access to. Planet Labs, as far as I know, only provides paid services, and it would not be allowed to provide services to Hamas directly, so why can the New York Times buy and publish the same information where Hamas can read it?…

The only people it helps are the terrorists.

And now it is publishing information on exactly where in Gaza the Israeli troops are.

I’m no lawyer, but it sounds like a violation of 18 USC 2339BProviding material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations…

Will the Department of Justice now open an investigation into the New York Times, and how it has managed, through its publication of a detailed map of northern Gaza, to provide precise intelligence, mostly satellite imagery taken by Planet Labs, about the IDF positions in northwest Gaza, thereby helping a designated terrorist group, Hamas, in its war against our ally, the state of Israel? Hasn’t the mighty Times “knowingly provided material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization”? What possible justification can the Grey Lady offer for publishing such material? Does Hamas have a right to know exactly where the IDF’s tanks and armored vehicles are located, and where they are heading? Was that information, now easily accessed by the terrorist group, really to be included in “all the news that’s fit to print”?

Michigan: City Council Candidate Asks If Holocaust Was ‘Advance Punishment’ for Israel’s ‘Savagery’

(AP Photo/Czarek Sokolowski, File)
Could the Holocaust happen again? After all the open endorsements of Hamas we have seen the world over these days, the answer to that is obvious. Can it happen here? Of course. A candidate for city council in Michigan has just made that clear.

Nasr Hussain is running for a seat on the city council of Hamtramck, Mich., the first city in our new multicultural and diverse (vibrantly diverse, that is) society to elect only Muslims to its council. Hussain, a Muslim himself, doesn’t promise to make the city council more diverse, and as far as leftists are concerned, an all-Muslim city council, despite its monolithic, monochromatic character, is about as diverse as a city council could possibly get. But candidate Hussain does have something to offer: an intriguing theological perspective on the events of the day.

On Monday, Hussain posted this on Facebook: "Was the holocaust God's advance punishment of the ‘Chosen People’ for the savagery they're committing today against the innocent Palestinians [sic] children and civilians? A heinous act proving that they're as savage and cruel as the Nazis themselves, or even worse.”

The thoughtful theologian helpfully added a clarification: “Take into consideration that God isn’t confined by space or time and that they believe in reincarnation.” Who believes in reincarnation? Not the Jews, but after all, since the Qur’an (9:30) claims that Jews worship the prophet Ezra as the son of God despite the fact that no Jew has ever been found who actually does this, making things up about what Jews believe is a venerable Islamic tradition.

In its write-up on Hussain’s Facebook post, the Detroit News adds this helpful bit of background information that clarifies why the candidate is so very angry at Jews: “More than 8,500 Palestinians have been killed in the war, mostly women and children, the Health Ministry in Gaza said Tuesday, without providing a breakdown of civilian and militant deaths.” The News adds that “the figure is without precedent in decades of Israeli-Palestinian violence, according to the Associated Press.

Wow, that’s terrible! But read that paragraph again. Who exactly is the source of this information? That’s right: the Health Ministry in Gaza. And who runs the Health Ministry in Gaza? Neither the Detroit News nor AP will tell you, but I will: Hamas. Hamas runs the Health Ministry in Gaza as Hamas is in control of the entire government in Gaza. Are Hamas’ casualty figures reliable? No, and we have a very recent example of this.

On Oct. 18, the same Health Ministry claimed that Israel had struck a Gaza hospital and that five hundred people had been killed. As it turned out, a stray Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket hit the hospital parking lot, not the hospital itself, and between ten and fifty people were killed, not five hundred. The Gaza Health Ministry has an obvious interest in exaggerating civilian casualties in Gaza. Still, establishment media outlets continue to accept and repeat its claims uncritically.

Meanwhile, the ominous implications of Hussain’s post cannot be understated. If Allah could have pre-emptively arranged a massacre of the Jews to punish them for crimes they would allegedly commit eighty years later, then the Holocaust was entirely justified, and if it was justified once, it could be justified again. Apparently, Hussain even thinks that Jews of today believe they are the reincarnated souls of those who were murdered in the Holocaust and clearly would like to see them suffer the same fate one more time.

It is also important to remember that while the Bible says, “Vengeance is mine, says the Lord” (Deuteronomy 32:35, Romans 12:19), the Qur’an directs Muslims to be the instruments of Allah’s punishment of the infidels: “Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands, and he will lay them low and give you victory over them, and he will heal the hearts of people who are believers. And he will remove the anger of their hearts” (9:14-15).

If Allah is going to punish the unbelievers by the hands of the believers, and the Holocaust was his judgment on the Jews, some Muslims may get the idea that it’s time to carry out a new Holocaust so as to heal their hearts after all the terrible things the Jews have supposedly done to them. And this isn’t being argued only in Lahore, Tehran, and Ramallah. It’s being argued in Michigan. Are you enjoying the sheer vibrance of our national diversity yet?

Anti-Semitic lynch mob storms Russia's Muslim Majority Dagestan airport hunting for Jews

Anti-semitic lynch mob storms Russia's Dagestan airport hunting for Jews. The riot took place in Muslim-majority Dagestan, in the Caucasus. And began when a plane from Tel Aviv landed in Makhachkala city. In nearby Khasavyurt, people also stormed the Hotel Flamingo and went room-to-room looking for any Jewish people inside. Police had to be called to both locations to deal with the crowds. It follows a surge in anti-Semitism due to Hamas’s attack on Israel and Israel’s subsequent invasion of the Gaza Strip.

Here Are Just a Few of Hamas’s Atrocities Against Israel the Left Is Cheering

Here Are Just a Few of Hamas's Atrocities Against Israel the Left Is Cheering
AP Photo/Armin Durgut
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the savage butchery visited upon innocent Israelis on October 7 was the worst since the atrocities of the Holocaust. No one paying attention has a problem believing that.  You won’t either after reading this.

On the morning of October 7, Hamas genocidal terrorists — yes, CBC, New York Times, BBC, they were terrorists — paraglided from the sky to attack people at a music festival while others, who had apparently been pre-positioned, began attacking families, children, and mothers and fathers in the southern part of Israel with such depraved savagery I had to take a break from this story and pray.

Hamas is a declared terrorist entity by the U.S. government. Hamas was elected to office in 2006 and, predictably, called off elections thereafter. It has used billions of dollars to build its hundreds of miles of air-conditioned tunnels under the city. The “Palestinians” (Gazans) are left in squalor. Some work in Israel.

The unspeakable crimes against humanity were photographed by the very men and women who committed them. They wore GoPro cameras or recorded their sickening deeds with their victims’ phones. These feral packs of hyenas, hyped up on a drug to intensify their lethality, brayed and bragged about their bloodletting on video.

We’ve written multiple stories here at PJ Media about how university students who ballyhoo about “equity” and “inclusion” now chant  that Jews should be exterminated “from the river to the sea.” More than half of Americans aged 18-24 believe that Jews had these atrocities coming to them. They’ll come for the rest of us later.

The “Palestinians” have their crisis actors playing roles for Pallywood productions. Bad information at a time of war is the rule, not the exception — especially if you get it from social media. The New York Times willingly went along with the Pallywood tale that Israel bombed a hospital. I waited on the “decapitated babies” story because there was only one source — one reporter who talked to one IDF soldier. Whether they beheaded a baby, burned it alive, or stabbed it in the womb, the innocent baby is still dead. It turns out, however,  that all of those things were done to babies by these terrorists.

First reports are almost always wrong, and this part of the world is known for making up the news. An Israeli tech “threat intelligence” company called Cyabra says that 25% of the social media posts are bots “attempting to proliferate misinformation.” We can’t tell you if these folks touted by the Jerusalem Post are similar to America’s “fact checkers,” but it’s worth mentioning in this context.

So, let’s take a look at what the only reputable and available source in the region says happened to the 1,400 people, including 33 Americans that we’re aware of, and possibly more who died at the hands of these genocidal killers.

We turn to Israeli pathologists who had to piece together bodies, identify remains, and determine the causes of death. When Gaza pathologists come forward with forensic information on the deaths of Israelis in this attack, we’ll include their findings.

The pathologists at the National Center of Forensic Medicine (Abu Kabir) in Tel Aviv have been able to discern roughly 200 humans from the rubble. We’ve checked them against the Stand 4 Israel platform of tech volunteers, which has just been stood up to verify deaths and knock down fake news.

A boy in the arms of his father burned alive.

A man taking video of the music festival of the round-up of concertgoers. One can hear the round hit him as he takes his last breath.

The charred remains of babies — yes, plural — burned alive.

A baby was murdered. Joe Biden confirmed that babies had been beheaded because he’d seen the images.

Another photo of babies burned alive. One can tell if a human is burned alive because of what’s in the trachea and lungs.

Twelve bodies of concertgoers put into a temporary morgue.

Twenty-one bodies lined up in body bags from the kibbutz Be’eri near the border with Gaza.

More than 200 hostages of all ages are still being held. An 85-year-old peace activist who spent her dotage helping Palestinians get medical care was beaten with a stick, thrown on the back of a motorcycle, and then taken to Hamas’s underground tunnels, where the hostages were separated depending on which kibbutz they lived in.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has made videos of the carnage. Other photos were shown in person to media members and Secretary of State Tony Blinken, whose reckless Iran payoffs and disastrous Afghanistan pull-out paved the way to this carnage. Blinken said, “A baby — an infant — riddled with bullets. Soldiers beheaded, young people burnt alive in their cars,” he said. “Images are worth a thousand words. These images, they may be worth a million.”

[David Horowitz’s new book, The Radical Mind: The Destructive Plans of the Woke Left, will be published on November 14, 2023. Pre-order it: HERE.]

“In the fog of war,” goes an old and time-tested saying, “the first casualty is truth.”

Few comments about the genocidal campaign launched against the Jews by Hamas exemplify this better than Fox News anchor Shannon Bream’s on-air statement that the majority of Palestinians do not support Hamas. Oh? Hamas is the elected government of Gaza and has been so since the Israelis in 2005 voluntarily ended their occupation of what was even then a launching pad for unprovoked terrorist attacks on Jewish population centers –internationally recognized as war crimes.

There are two main parties of Palestinian Arabs, Hamas and Fatah. A September poll shows that in an election the head of Hamas would beat the Fatah leader 58% to 37%. More importantly, both openly share the same goal: the destruction of the Jewish state and the elimination of Jews in the land “between the River and the Sea.”

Has there been a Palestinian leader or protest in Gaza or the West Bank, or abroad, that has denounced the Nazi atrocities perpetrated by Hamas against Jewish women, children, and entire defenseless families on October 7? Is there a Palestinian Party that recognizes Israel or even the right of Israel to exist?

From its inception in the 1920s, the Palestinian movement has drawn inspiration from rabid Jew haters in Europe, and Germany in particular. In the 1930’s the Muslim Brotherhood translated Mein Kampf into Arabic. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem – the George Washington of the Palestinian national movement – was an ardent admirer of Hitler. When World War II broke out, he moved to Berlin where he recruited an Arab legion for Hitler and laid plans to create an Auschwitz in the Middle East. When the state of Israel was created by the UN in 1948, it was attacked by five Arab dictatorships, whose rallying cry was “Push the Jews into the sea.” The sick left generates Jew hatred by calling them colonial settlers. Actually, Jews have inhabited the land of Israel for millennia.

The campaign to destroy the Jewish state and its Jews has always been a campaign to ethnically cleanse the Middle East the way the Nazis had attempted to cleanse Europe. It’s justifying rationale – “free Palestine from Israeli occupation” is an easily disproven lie. Israel was not created on Arab land. It was created the same way Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Syria were created: out of the ruins of the Ottoman Empire. The Turks are not Arabs let alone “Palestinians” – a national identity which did not exist at the time of Israel’s creation. The language, religion, culture of the Arabs around the Jordan River is identical to that of the other Arabs in the Middle East. The land on which Israel and nations like Jordan were created was controlled by the Turks for four hundred years before the creation of the Jewish state. There was no movement for a nation called Palestine in all that time.

Jordan has a population seventy percent of whom identify as “Palestinians.” They are ruled by a Hashemite minority. There is no Palestinian campaign to free Jordan from its occupation by Hashemites. Nor was there any ‘Palestinian’ campaign to free the West Bank when Jordan controlled it or Gaza when it was under Egyptian rule. The Palestinian movement is a Nazi campaign to destroy the Jewish state and eliminate its Jews. This is the mentality behind the beheading of Jewish babies and the brutal murders of entire defenseless Jewish families.

The actual invention of the Palestine identity for the campaign against the Jews did not take place until 1964 in the West Bank and 1967 in Gaza – 16 and 19 years after the creation of the Jewish state. The newly invented nationality was the brainchild of the KGB and the Egyptian dictator Nasser whose armies spear-headed the 1948 war to destroy Israel at its birth. The cynical calculation behind the invention of a Palestinian national identity was that the PLO call to “Push the Jews into the sea” was not likely to win allies Nasser and the KGB persuaded the PLO that the creation of a national identity called “Palestine” would allow them to portray their murderous plans to kill the Jews as a resistance to oppression and a fight for self-determination.

In other words, “Palestine” is an invented national identity created for the express purpose of making the land between the river and the sea what the Nazis themselves called Juden rein – Jew free. Unfortunately, the world is full of useful ignoramuses and anti-Semites who lap these lies up and support their Nazi agendas.

The roots of Islamic Jew hatred did not originate with the Nazis though the so-called Palestinians often refer to their goal as an attempt “to finish the job that Hitler started.” They actually go back more than a thousand years to the prophet Mohammed, who made this proclamation to his followers:

The Day of Judgment will not come until Muslims fight the Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say, ‘O Muslim, O servant of God, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.’

This proclamation is quoted in full in the 1988 Hamas Charter, otherwise known as the Covenant of the Islamic Resistance, and accurately expresses the religious inspiration of the Jew hatred that struck the innocent on October 7, 2023 and created the worst massacre of Jews for being Jews since the Holocaust.

NYC: Jewish students locked into college library to protect them from raging pro-Hamas mob

This wasn’t Berlin 1938. It was New York City 2023.

“Jewish Students at NYC College Cornered by Pro-Hamas Protesters, Told to Hide in Attic,” Jewish Voice, October 26, 2023:

Jewish students at Cooper Union, a private New York City college, were locked inside a library Wednesday as pro-Palestine and pro-Hamas protesters beat their fists on the doors, screamed, and tried to gain entry.

Videos sent by terrified students trapped in the library initially were shared on social media Wednesday afternoon by Jake Novak, former media director at the Israeli Consulate in New York.

Novak reported that the New York Police Department was called “as soon as the protesters stormed the main Cooper Union building, but [officers] did nothing.”

New York City Council member Inna Vernikov said Thursday morning that she had spoken with four of the students barricaded in the library. No one was arrested in the incident, Vernikov said….

Novak said Cooper Union librarians “bolted the doors” to prevent pro-Palestine and pro-Hamas protesters from entering the library, then told “identifiable” Jewish students to “hide in the attic if they wanted to.”…

Vernikov said Cooper Union faculty members not only canceled class to accommodate a walkout for the protest, but “encouraged students to participate and even offered extra credit” for participating. She also noted that faculty members joined the protest.

The Daily Signal sought comment from Cooper Union, including information on which classes were canceled and which faculty members encouraged students to participate. College officials didn’t respond by publication time.

The Jewish students barricaded in the Cooper Union library were evacuated through tunnels Wednesday evening, while the university and police left the protesters alone, Vernikov and others said.

Vernikov reported Thursday morning that Jewish students at Cooper Union were staying home for fear of safety and some are dropping classes. Three students who were barricaded in the library told her that they “will never walk in there feeling alright again,” Vernikov said….

Anti-Semitic Academia Finally Getting Punched in the Wallet

Anti-Semitic Academia Finally Getting Punched in the Wallet
AP Photo/Michael Casey, File
Ever since the terrorist murderers in Hamas attacked Israel almost three weeks ago, we’ve been witnessing the disgusting spectacle of American college students very vocally condemning Israel, some of which the esteemed VodkaPundit recently chronicled.

For being attacked.

Yes, parents, this is what a small fortune gets you when you send your kids off to have their minds polluted by the leftist filth that controls Academia.

These kids didn’t come out of the womb being virulently anti-Semitic, they had to be conditioned. To be sure, the American public education indoctrination mill helped get them there, but it’s the lunatics in Academia’s ivory towers who are responsible for the finished product. As I said in a recent podcast, the students are only working with the facts that their professors presented to them.

A handful of college presidents and boards of regents have issued statements condemning anti-Semitism and Hamas, but that can all be filed under “Too Little, Too Late.” The damage to young minds has already been done.

Wholesale changes in American public education and academia are long past overdue, but it’s been considered sacrilege — mostly by the left — to disparage the sainted teachers or institutions of higher learning. Eyes are being opened now, however. The corrupt agenda of the teachers’ unions that run K-12 public schools was revealed during the COVID-19 pandemic and got parents involved in curriculum decisions in great numbers.

Relevant: COVID-19 Has Exposed Teachers’ Unions as the Shakedown Artists They Really Are

The behavior of the rabidly pro-Palestinian/Hamas students at many elite universities has shocked a lot of people who aren’t online and consuming news for most of their waking hours.

There is, of course, BIG money in academia. It takes a lot to keep the hegemonic brain-washing apparatus humming. Obviously, the best way to fight it is to hit them where it hurts the most — in the bank accounts.

Shortly after I decided to write this column, my friend Ed Morrissey posted one of his own at our sister site HotAir which came at the money issue from a different angle than what I’m about to get into. Ed says that we should “decolonize” academia, and here are some of his suggestions:

Rather than launch destructive campaigns that will undermine the rights of all Americans, we need to address the issue at its core. The issue isn’t the NSJP, or the current flock of moral idiots on American campuses at the moment. The problem is the firehose of federal tax dollars propping up the Higher Ed Industry, and the way it gets manipulated to transform education into the kind of indoctrination that produced this anti-Semitic Hitler Youth Movement.

In other words, we need to end the student loan programs. We need to end Pell grants, and every scholarship from the federal government, even the ones for left-handed Laplanders with Lyme Disease. We need to end the transmission of every federal dollar into the bloated, corrupt Academia as it exists now and has existed over the last several decades. Its main product has become a blizzard of non-performing administrators and crops of moral idiots, the latter of whom emerge with crippling lifetime debt and nihilist fantasies that many of them will never outgrow.

To put it another way that might appeal to our progressive partners: We need to Defund the Fleece.

This violates no rights. It doesn’t dictate speech codes to college campuses, another point on which conservatives should know better than to impose. Not a single thing will change, except that we will finally kick the financial struts out from underneath a persistent parasite that has finally come close to achieving its goal of killing its host.

That’s a long quote from Ed’s piece, but I wanted to use it to set up what I was already going to write about.

Public funding is, as Ed points out, the biggest problem, but the tonier institutions of higher learning rely on the generosity of wealthy alumni to ensure that there is always a nice sheen on those ivory towers and that they’re fortified from reality.

Well, the frothing, pro-Palestinian/Hamas student minions are making reality crash in for some schools.

The Wall Street Journal:

Top universities such as Harvard and Penn are facing backlash from alumni angry about the schools’ reactions to the attacks and their aftermath. The alumni say their schools didn’t move quickly and forcefully enough to condemn Hamas and denounce antisemitism after the Oct. 7 attacks, and that they have done a poor job since then protecting Jewish students as on-campus tensions rise.

Some say it was the final straw after years of growing disenchantment with the schools over what they see as a leftward political shift. Many big donors have announced plans to stop giving or said they are reconsidering future gifts.

The pullback could dent the finances of some universities that rely on big givers to fill their coffers. People giving $1 million or more made up less than 1% of donors but 57% of total donations across surveyed U.S. universities, according to a study by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education covering the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022.

Donations from the “big givers” can usually be penciled into the donation ledger every year and not worried about. Now, thanks to the fruits of their indoctrination labors being on display for all to see, upper-crust universities are facing situations like this:

Retail billionaire Leslie Wexner’s foundation said it would cut financial ties with Harvard and end a program it funded at the school for Israelis. Wexner and his wife have donated more than $42 million to the Cambridge, Mass., university.

Forty-two million is a lot of money even in Harvard dollars.

Some might ask if this will really bring about any positive change in the long run. That’s impossible to predict, of course. The bully needs to take a few on the chin if he’s even going to think about leaving you alone though.

Those in upper management at America’s universities are obsessed with finances and fundraising. For a long time, they’ve been well-oiled machines when it comes to bloating their institutions’ bank accounts. When big, regular donors slam their checkbooks shut it’s a cause for overwhelming concern, if not outright panic.

We continue to see backlash against people who have long gotten away with ignorant anti-Israel, anti-Semitic world views. Those in academia had reason to feel more shielded from criticism than other inherently anti-Semitic groups; they’ve been getting rich off of their hatred for decades, after all. If it can’t be ended altogether, let’s hope that dangerous grift will at least be weakened now.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Proposes Censure Of Rashida Tlaib For ‘Anti-Semitic Insurrection’

On the House floor, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced a resolution to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for alleged anti-Semitic statements and actions, and for leading an "insurrection" in the Cannon Building.

An Israeli intelligence source has confirmed that two Israeli hostages who were abducted and held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza have now been released.

The hostages were reportedly released after Qatari mediation efforts.

The two elderly women who were released were Yocheved Lifschitz, 85, and Nurit Cooper, 79. Both were taken from Kibbutz Nir Oz.

Both women are said to be in “poor health conditions.”

The ladies are now in the hands of the Red Cross.

Hamas announced the release through their Telegram channel. The terrorist organization announced that Cooper and Lifschitz were being released for “compelling humanitarian” reasons.

However, both of their husbands are still being held against their will by the terrorist group in Gaza.

The women’s families have also been notified that their loved ones were being freed.

The 85-year-old’s daughter, Sharone Lifschitz, spoke to reporters after her parents were taken, and she described what was left of their home after the horrific incident took place.

“Their whole house is gone,” Lifschitz said. “It’s all burned, and that’s the least of it.”

She went on to say that she was worried and unsure of how long her parents could survive without their medications.

“They’re no longer the kind of people who can survive without medications,” Sharone continued. “Mom was ripped out of her machine; she was sleeping.”

Cooper and Lifschitz’s release also comes days after two Americans were freed from the terrorist organization’s grip.

It is still estimated that over 200 people are still being held captive in Gaza.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

CBS and CNN Give Sympathetic Air Time to a Murderous Antisemitic Gazan

Unfortunately, CBS and CNN did not perform due diligence when they recently allowed on to their news programs a woman from Gaza, Dunia Abu Rahma, whose bloodcurdling hatred of Israel and of Jews has now been revealed by those at HonestReporting who investigated her social media posts. More on her television appearances, and her views, can be found here: “CNN & NBC Give Airtime to Woman Who Celebrated Hamas Massacre & Wished Hitler Had Finished the Job,” by Chaim Lax, HonestReporting, October 19, 2023:

…Dunia Abu Rahma, a 22-year-old architecture student from Gaza, has appeared in recent days on both CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and NBC News to tell her story.

Abu Rahma told the veteran CNN reporter Anderson Cooper, “All I want them to know is that there are civilians, people who wish to live a normal, peaceful life, to feel safe, because we are human, and all we want is to have our rights and live peacefully. As a woman and as a girl, all I want in this life [is] to educate and to graduate and have a job and have a family.”…

Sounds nice, doesn’t it? All she wants the public to know is that she, and all the Palestinians, only want to “live a normal peaceful life.” All they want is their “rights and to live peacefully.” But she’s lying. That’s not what she wants. She wants, her many social media posts reveal, for the Jewish state to disappear, and for the Jews — not only Israelis — to be killed.

Throughout Hamas’ October 7 slaughter, Dunia Abu Rahma both tweeted and reposted several tweets supporting the massacres.

Soon after the Hamas assault began in the early morning, Abu Rahma tweeted “Good morning. I wanted them to loot and liberate the country in my graduation year.”

A couple of hours later, she posted two tweets in succession. One read: “He really freed the prisoners!” This is presumably a reference to the hordes of Hamas terrorists and local Gazans who were rampaging through Israeli communities at the time.

The second post was a quote tweet of a video of a brutal lynching of an Israeli soldier on the streets of Gaza with the caption: “On my own, I go down and beat him with them.”

Yes, she missed the fun of joining a bunch of Hamas goons in tormenting and torturing — and almost certainly killing — a lone Israeli soldier. Too bad she couldn’t have been there. She can dream, can’t she?

Later, she tweeted happily about the border with Israel being overrun, saying in one tweet that she was planning on transferring from her university in Gaza to Bir Zeit (a university in the West Bank) and tweeting later that “In this case, we will pray at Al-Aqsa [in Jerusalem] next Friday.”

On October 7, Dunia Abu Rahma also reposted several tweets by other accounts celebrating the carnage.

One read: “It looks like a blessed Saturday, people of Palestine, good morning” while another mentioned that “One’s heart flutters with joy with every missile that comes out.”

And her heart, too, fluttered with joy, as rocket after rocket was launched from Gaza into the cities of southern Israel. How many Jewish deaths, how much Jewish destruction!

She also reposted an image allegedly of Hamas taking IDF captives captioned “Blessed October” as well as an image of a bloodied Israeli female teenager being manhandled by terrorists with a caption justifying the vicious treatment of Israeli women by Hamas….

Yes, how exciting, how exhilarating, seeing IDF soldiers taken captive, and even more wonderful to see brave fighters of Hamas tormenting them, or better still, having their way with Israeli girls, raping them to their hearts’ content. How good to see the yahudim brought low, tormented, tortured, and killed!

In one tweet, Abu Rahma posts “May God forgive you, Hitler. I wish you had finished with this group of people who went astray.”…

No ambiguity there. It’s language from the Qur’an: The Jews are “those who went astray.” And here is Dunia Abu Rahma, wishing that Hitler had not just murdered six million of them, but finished with all of them. What does Anderson Cooper think, now that he realizes he had on as a guest someone who praises Hitler for murdering Jews, and only wishes he had stayed in power long enough to finish the job?

In December 2021, she shared a video of a soccer game between Algeria and Tunisia and captioned it “The house of the Jews will be destroyed.”

In other words, so obsessive was Abu Rahma’s genocidal hatred of Jews that even a soccer match between two Arab teams, having nothing to do with Israel or Jews, could manage to set her off: “The house of the Jews will be destroyed.”

Along with her antisemitic posts, Dunia Abu Rahma has also called for the destruction of Israel.

Following a tweet that said, “We want a truce,” Abu Rahma commented “We want to get rid of it,” referring to Israel….

Abu Rahma makes clear she wants Israel to disappear. There is no other interpretation of her rejecting the possibility of a truce, and instead insisting that “we [the Palestinians] want to get rid of it.” Rid of Israel, that is.

She wants Israel in the future to disappear, so that “from the river to the sea” there will again be only the Arab state of Palestine. But there never was an Arab state of Palestine. Abu Rahma does not realize that Jews lived in this same area for at least 3000 years — that is, 1600 years before there was a single Muslim Arab in the Land of Israel or, indeed, anywhere.

What happened here was a failure of due diligence. Though both NBC News and CNN have enormous staffs, apparently no one thought it necessary to look into Dunia Abu Rahma’s own views before providing her with sympathetic airtime. Had they done so, they would have discovered she shares the views of Hamas, that is, an annihilationist attitude toward Israel. And they might then have chosen some other Gazans, less fanatical in their hatred of Israel, and of Jews, to interview. Perhaps they’ve learned a lesson at CNN and NBC News, now that Abu Rahma’s mental makeup has been exposed. They need to thoroughly check the social media posts of possible guests from Gaza. Will they do it? Knowing the American media, I doubt it.

NYC: Man slugs woman in the face on the subway, tells her it’s because ‘you are Jewish’

The photos of the attacker that can be found here suggest that he may be a Muslim, but of course, he may just be a guy with a taste for a particular style of hat and beard. In any case, there is no doubt that Jew-hatred is rising in American society among both Leftists and Muslims today, largely generated by “Palestinian” victimhood propaganda, which is based on principles of jihad, particularly Qur’an 2:191.

“Man slugs woman in the face on NYC subway, tells her it’s because ‘you are Jewish’: cops,” by Allie Griffin, New York Post, October 18, 2023:

A hate-filled brute punched a woman in the face in a Manhattan subway station over the weekend and told her he socked her because “you are Jewish,” according to police.

The stranger walked up and clobbered the 29-year-old woman inside the 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue subway station 7-train passageway at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, cops said.

The shocked victim asked her attacker why he randomly slugged her when she did nothing to provoke him and he reportedly said his reason was “you are Jewish” and ran off, police said.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

Saturday’s attack comes as Hamas and Israel continue a deadly war sparked by the terrorist group’s sneak attack on the Jewish nation, prompting fears of rising hate towards both Jews and Muslims….

Spain: Socialist government minister accuses Israel of ‘genocide,’ calls for action at International Criminal Court

The uphill battle Israel faces isn’t only against the threat of its immediate enemies — Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hizballah, and the leader of them all, Iran. Far leftists are also fanning the jihad flames and working to undermine Israel at every turn.

It is a tragedy that innocent people died in past wars, including World War I and World War II. In Israel’s war with Hamas, it’s no different. Israel is at war with a ruthless and savage enemy, one which has been described as worse than the Islamic State. Hamas’ crimes against innocent Israelis couldn’t be any worse. Brutalizing and murdering infants is as bad as it gets. To turn a blind eye to this is incomprehensible, and nothing short of antisemitic hatred.

Also to be kept in mind is that jihadis are supremacists. In their view, infidels are to be conquered by whatever means, stealth or violence. The latest infidel useful idiot to support the Palestinian “resistance” is Ione Belarra, Spain’s social rights minister and leader of Podemos, “the junior partners in the socialist-led coalition.” She attended a pro-Palestinian demonstration and not only failed to call out the atrocities of Hamas against Israelis but accused Israel of a planned genocide against Palestinians. Although Belarra rejects the contention that she’s aligning with Hamas, she’s doing just that.

According to Newsweek:

Belarra called on the Spanish government to launch a petition for the ICC to investigate Netanyahu over allegedly “carrying out a planned genocide in the Gaza Strip” in retaliation for the October 7 surprise attack by Islamist militant group Hamas.

Belarra and her ilk, however, have nothing to say about how else Israel might exist in peace.

Spain now holds the presidency of the EU Council; this comes to an end on December 31. The propaganda war is an inevitable front that will continue to exact its toll on Israel as its enemies crow, despite the manifest injustice of the fact that Israel is forced constantly to fight for its own existence.

The massive surrounding Islamic states that occupied their own territory via brutal conquest refuse to help their Palestinian brothers as they criticize Israel.  The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has accused Israel of “crimes against humanity,” but said nothing about Hamas’ brutality. EgyptTurkey, and Jordan have shut out Palestinian refugees without receiving any significant blowback from the likes of Belarra.

“Spain rejects Israeli claims of its officials aligning with Hamas,” by Sam Jones, Guardian, October 17, 2023:

Madrid has dismissed Israel’s claims that some members of Spain’s acting coalition government have aligned themselves “with Isis-style terrorism” by criticizing Benjamin Netanyahu’s response to Hamas’s atrocities and suggesting Israeli forces are committing genocide and war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

On Saturday, Ione Belarra, who serves as Spain’s social rights minister and is the leader of Podemos, the junior partners in the socialist-led coalition, suggested the Spanish government should bring Netanyahu before the international criminal court to face war crimes charges.

After attending a demonstration in Madrid in support of the Palestinian people the following day, she tweeted: “Dignity has filled the streets of Madrid today to urge the end of the genocide that Israel is planning against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Freedom for Palestine.”

Belarra’s views were echoed by her Podemos colleague Irene Montero, who is acting equality minister, and by Alberto Garzón, Spain’s acting consumer affairs minister…..

Ken Roth Falsely Claims That Israel Engages in ‘Collective Punishment’

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/10/ken-roth-falsely-claims-that-israel-engages-in-collective-punishment;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

Ken Roth, the former Human Rights Watch head, who turned that NGO into an unextinguishable fount of anti-Israeli animus, has just tweeted from his new post at Princeton, to which he moved after his one-year, extravagantly-paid year at Harvard’s Kennedy School, the following:

He goes on to say in his tweet that Israel’s attacks on Hamas in Gaza constitute “collective punishment.” Elder of Ziyon then takes him to task: “No, Israel isn’t engaging in ‘collective punishment’ under international law,” Elder of Ziyon, October 16, 2023:

He gave the source from the ICRC – and it proves the opposite of his attempt to paint Israel as guilty.

The first paragraph, which he skips, defines collective punishment:

The term refers not only to criminal punishment but also to other types of sanctions, harassment, or administrative action taken against a group in retaliation for an act committed by an individual/s who is considered to form part of the group. Such punishment therefore targets persons who bear no responsibility for having committed the conduct in question.

The word “retaliation” makes it sound as if the action must be done deliberately as a punishment, not as a consequence of going after the actual guilty party.

For example, if a terrorist group gets its arms flown in on flights t a commercial airport, a nation can bomb that airport runway – even if it means that legitimate airplanes cannot land. It definitely affects innocent people but it is not collective punishment, because that is not the intent.

Similarly, other dual use targets – power stations, TV and radio broadcast stations – may be attacked if they are also used by the combatant. (All of these are subject to proportionality analysis, as with any military action.)…

What Hamas did last week was prompted by a genocidal impulse. It was not an attack directed at combatants, though some IDF soldiers were among its victims. The targets were Jews, Jews from babes in swaddling clothes to grandmothers in wheelchairs. Every Jew, not just in Israel, but everywhere in the world, is regarded by Hamas as a legitimate target. It does not depend on what an individual Jew has done, or does, or will do, but only on the fact that someone is a Jew. This is far worse than “collective punishment.” Indeed, no Jew need have done anything to make him fit to be murdered by Hamas; only the fact of his Jewishness counts. That constitutes genocide.

Is Israel now inflicting “collective punishment” on the Palestinians? Has it been rounding up, arresting, or bombing Palestinians in the West Bank, or has it left them entirely alone? In Gaza, has it tried to impose a “collective punishment” on all the residents of the Strip? Quite clearly, no. It has bombed weapons hideouts, rocket launching pads, command-and-control centers, and places where Hamas leaders, including the mastermind of the recent attack in Israel, are now crouching in fear. The IDF does its best to warn civilians away from buildings that are soon to be targeted, by text messaging, telephoning, leafletting, and use of the “knock on the roof” technique. It is Hamas that places its men and weapons inside, alongside, or in tunnels under, civilian structures such as schools, hospitals, apartment houses, and mosques. Israeli pilots, too, call off attacks at the last minute if they detect too many civilians in the targeted area.

Right now, Israel has called on the residents of northern Gaza to move south to safety. Instead of inflicting collective punishment on the Palestinians in Gaza, Israel is making enormous efforts to persuade the ordinary civilians of Gaza to flee from the north to the south of the Strip, where Israel has no plans to attack, and where their safety will be assured. In the north, Israel will as usual do everything it can to avoid harming innocent civilians. Inevitably some will be wounded or killed; that is the nature of modern warfare. But Israel’s intent — and intent is everything — is to minimize civilian casualties.

None of this matters to Ken Roth. For several decades he’s been maligning the Jewish state. Why would he let a little thing like the Hamas attack on Oct. 7 stop him now?

Everything You Need to Know About the Israeli ‘Occupation’ Or rather, everything the Left won’t tell you.

[Make sure to read Robert Spencer’s contributions in Jamie Glazov’s new book: Barack Obama’s True Legacy: How He Transformed America.]

There would be peace in the Middle East if Israel just ended its occupation, right?

That’s what the Squad wants you to think, anyway. The statements of the three primary members of this winsome leftist House coalition on the Hamas massacres in Israel had the distinct odor of canned talking points. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Make Mine A Double) issued a statement that said, “I condemn Hamas’ attack in the strongest possible terms.” That was a good start, but she then turned on a dime to blame it all on Israel: “No child and family should ever endure this kind of violence and fear, and this violence will not solve the ongoing oppression and occupation in the region.” Ongoing oppression and occupation, see? If Israel would just ease up on the poor Palestinians, Hamas jihadis would all open restaurants and shops, and peace would dawn upon the region.

Not to be outdone, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) tweeted, “We know occupation and systematic apartheid is a violation of international law and it must end.” The Larry of this illustrious triumvirate (in case you’re wondering, Ilhan is Moe, the mean one, and AOC is Curly, the funny one), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Ramallah), chimed in with this: “I grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day. I am determined as ever to fight for a just future where everyone can live in peace, without fear, and with true freedom, equal rights, and human dignity. The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.”

So all three are in agreement: Israel’s occupation is the problem. It’s a shame that we don’t have any real journalists today, because someone should ask the same question to all three of them: “If Israel is occupying Palestinian land, can you please explain the basis in international law for Palestinian ownership of this land?” They all likely assume that there was a previous Palestinian state that the Israelis occupied and destroyed, but in reality, there has never been a Palestinian state of any kind, ever, at any point in history. There has been a region known as “Palestine” since 134AD when the Romans applied that name to the land that had previously been known as Judea, that is, the land of the Jews. But “Palestine” was akin to “Staten Island” — it was only the name of a region, never of a people or a nation.

By the beginning of the twentieth century, the Ottoman Empire had sovereignty over the territory that is now Israel and the supposedly occupied land as well. The Ottoman Empire was, however, known by this time as “The Sick Man of Europe.” In the early 1920s, just before the empire fell altogether, it conceded control of Palestine and the land that came to be known as Transjordan and now as Jordan to the League of Nations. On July 24, 1922, the League granted administrative control over these territories to Britain with specific instructions to create a “national home for the Jewish people.”

Britain immediately turned over 77% of the Mandate to the Arabs to create Jordan but remained generally committed to establishing a Jewish national home in the remainder. This was known as the Mandate for Palestine. Sometimes Leftists point to it as the Palestinian state that supposedly predated Israel, but this claim relies on the ignorance of the fact that this British territory had been explicitly set aside for Jewish settlement; nine years before the founding of the modern state of Israel, a 1939 flag of “Palestine” sports a star of David.

When the State of Israel was founded in 1948, it immediately had to fight a war for its survival against the surrounding Arab nations that had vowed to destroy it. Then there was finally an occupation — in fact, two: Egypt occupied Gaza and Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria (which it renamed the West Bank). Israel won back those territories in the Six-Day War of 1967, but that was actually ending an occupation, not starting one: the only international law governing sovereignty over those territories stipulated that they were to be part of a national home for the Jewish people.

So from whom was the land stolen? Not from the Ottomans, who had ceded it to the League of Nations. Not from the league, which had granted administrative powers over it to the British. Not from the British, who only had it in order to help create a Jewish state there. And not from the Palestinians, who didn’t even exist until the 1960s, when the KGB and Yasir Arafat bestowed Palestinian nationality upon a group of Levantine Arabs as a rhetorical weapon to use against Israel.

And it has worked beautifully. The idea that Israel is occupying Palestinian land was furthered in the 1990s by the Oslo Accords, to which Israel unwisely acceded, and in which it agreed to work toward the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza, which would only become a new base for more jihad attacks against a diminished Jewish state. But a Palestinian state, if it is ever created, would be the first-ever such entity in the history of the world. There is actually no Israeli occupation at all. The Squad, and the left in general, is either ignorant or malicious. Or, of course, both.
