Latest America’s Values Survey: Good News and Bad News

The good news from the latest America’s Values Study undertaken by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University is that nearly all of the nearly 4,000 citizens polled not only think that inflation is going to influence greatly how they vote on November 8, but that their vote will likely reflect their belief that the Democrats are primarily responsible for it.

The bad news is that more and more of those 4,000 are looking to government and not to God for help.

Six in ten of those polled say that inflation, the rising cost of living, food prices and shortages, and oil and gasoline prices will influence how they vote in the midterm elections by “a lot.”

George Barna, the lead pollster, wrote:

Many of the most influential issues in this election are those that highlight publicly perceived failures by the Democrats. The highest-impact issues — specifically, inflation, the cost of food and related shortages, and policies and prices related to gas and oil — all highlight turns for the worse over the past two years, when Democrats have held the White House and both chambers of Congress.

If historical patterns hold true, voters will hold Democrats responsible for those failures. Some four out of five incumbents in the U.S. House and Senate are typically re-elected.

However, there may yet be substantial change in the two federal legislative bodies given the confluence of anger with the condition of America, the historical tendency to replace the prevailing party in mid-term elections, the unusually large number of incumbents not seeking re-election, and the fact that the issues of greatest importance to voters underscore public dissatisfaction with Democrat rule.

But when it comes to issues like morality, the right to life, and the threats to religious liberty by the government, those polled scarcely mentioned them at all. As Barna noted,

Even among the most deeply religious Americans, regardless of their faith of choice, a greater emphasis was placed upon the personal impact of governance choices and public policies. That focus on self, to the exclusion of the community, is a reflection of their syncretistic worldview and the decline of spiritual commitment in America.

Barna holds that the “syncretistic” view held by most Americans — including those who call themselves Christians — is made up of a vast buffet-like array of religious positions rather than the singular Christian faith that informed the Founders of the nation.

Len Munsil, president of Arizona Christian University, noted the resultant decline in morality exposed by the survey:

Religious segments such as born-again Christians and people who regularly attend evangelical churches did not include issues such as abortion, national morals and values, [or] religious freedom in their top-five lists [of influences].

Lindsey Jensen, a brand ambassador for Turning Point USA, noted the trend away from traditional Christianity two years ago:

Without the belief in God or the natural rights given to us by God, the Constitution wouldn’t exist nor could it be upheld….

As Christianity declines, we see that more people in our nation look favorably on the idea of more government involvement. Instead of turning to God or the church, they want the government to solve their problems.

She notes the primary problem — people who call themselves Christians don’t act like it:

Our nation is feeling the repercussions of Christians who “check the box” and attend church but don’t actually want the Word of God to inform their daily life and change the way they live.

Our nation needs the kind of people that reflect Christ in all they do.

This is precisely the point made by America’s 30th president, Calvin Coolidge:

The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country.

The good news is that there is likely to be substantial change in Washington following the midterm elections. The bad news is that the necessary cultural shift away from secularism and the “weak Gospel” toward rebuilding a culture based upon historical Biblical Christianity, self-reliance, and individual responsibility remains elusive.

Yes, you read that right. A leftist journalist called Child Protective Services on a Republican state Senate candidate and single mother because she teaches her daughter to celebrate Columbus Day. Apparently, celebrating the man who made it possible for America to exist and for us to live here falls under the leftist definition of “abuse.”

Self-described “Award-Winning Multimedia Journalist” David Leavitt called Child Protective Services (CPS) on Republican Virginia state Senate candidate and single mom Tina Ramirez for being pro-Columbus Day. The drama began when Ramirez referenced PayPal’s recent attempt to fine “misinformation”-spreaders $2,500. Ramirez tweeted, “Only women can be pregnant. Do I owe PayPal $2500 now?” Leavitt replied with the highly rational comment, “Why are you celebrating torture, rape, murder, and enslavement?” Ramirez, apparently realizing that Leavitt was referring to Columbus Day, tweeted, “I teach my daughter real American history. I refuse to join the radical left’s campaign to erase history.”

Leavitt, who has over 330,000 Twitter followers, tried to start a harassment campaign against Ramirez, tweeting, “Can someone please call child care services on Tina Ramirez who’s teaching her child to be a racist?” He then evidently decided that he couldn’t wait for anyone else to report Ramirez, because he began to post an extended tweet thread complaining about how long the wait was on Virginia’s child abuse hotline. Perhaps the wait time is long because woke journalists call the hotline to complain that mothers are teaching their children history?

Ramirez fired back at Leavitt’s stunt, tweeting, “Mighty bold and liberal of you to lecture a Hispanic mother with a black daughter on racism. What’s next? Are you going to lecture me on women’s rights?” Leavitt sneered, “Having a black child doesn’t make you any less racist.” The journalist also retweeted dozens of comments bashing Ramirez and her pro-Columbus tweet, including comments like “Slavery is American history” and “I feel very sorry for your daughter. She will learn the truth one day and hate you for not helping her navigate racism, back lives matter, and all the ‘history’ you choose to ignore.”

Since Leavitt’s tweets revealed that he spent over an hour on the CPS line waiting to report Ramirez, the Republican candidate tweeted, “Radical leftist @David_Leavitt didn’t just call CPS to level accusations against me. He waited an hour on hold, tying up the lines of our CPS professionals trying to help Virginia’s children. The radical left is willing to put our children at risk to cancel conservatives.”

Despite calling CPS on Ramirez, Leavitt later cluelessly whined on Twitter, “I’m being the subject of targeted harassment by someone who’s celebrating the torture, rape, murder, and enslavement of indigenous peoples.” The “harassment” he quote-tweeted just said, “Poor Davey is upset about Columbus day 🙁 Get well soon, pal.” The journalist then claimed he’d received a death threat. He also tweeted about “#IndigenousPeoplesDay,” which is the left’s new name for Columbus Day but is apparently unaware that Columbus Day was established as a holiday to counteract violent prejudice against Italian Americans. The holiday’s purpose is to fight racism.

While unjust deeds were done by Columbus’s men (often against his instructions) and Columbus did make mistakes, he was not a “murderer” of natives. He was, in fact, remarkably eager to treat the natives humanely. And there were natives who were very happy to see him. As Meridian Magazine explains, native chief King Guacanagari asked for Columbus’s help in defeating an enemy tribe of cannibals, who were “destroying” Guacanagari’s tribe. Columbus assisted Guacanagari to defeat the cannibals, and then sent captured cannibals as slaves to Spain. But his motivation for the latter action is far more humane than you might think, as he wrote to the Spanish monarchs, “We send by these two vessels some of these cannibal men and women, as well as some children, both male and female. Their Highnesses can order them to be placed under the care of the most competent persons to teach them the language.” Columbus added that he hoped the slaves “may one day be led to abandon their barbarous custom of eating their fellow creatures. By learning the Spanish language in Spain, they will much earlier receive baptism and ensure the salvation of their souls.” Columbus wanted to help even cannibals and enemies in the best way he knew how — by trying to get them to Heaven. Would Leavitt be that generous to men who had previously tried to kill and eat him?

The American Spectator wrote that the “crimes” of which Columbus is perpetually accused, including genocide and mass enslavement of natives, are “a total fabrication.” The Spectator cited original documents and noted that Columbus even defended natives against the Spanish.

Meridian Magazine describes Columbus by noting, “His relations with the natives tended to be benign. He liked the natives and found them to be very intelligent.” It’s too bad there isn’t more intelligence to be found from woke journalists.

 

James Madison’s Home to Become Site of Massive White Guilt Monument

“We want to make this a national monument to the ‘Invisible Founders,’” said the Rev. Larry Walker, a trustee at Montpelier, the home of James Madison, father of the Constitution, in announcing plans to build a national slavery monument right on the grounds of Madison’s home. The Montpelier board is planning on a massive scale: “Our memorialization project is not going to be limited to a bench and a plaque,” Walker declared, as the board compared the projected monument to the Lincoln Memorial. If this thing is built, future visitors to Montpelier will come away with one overwhelming message: James Madison was an evil man who enslaved other human beings.

Board chairman James French showed the photo of the Lincoln Memorial in order “to illustrate…our desire to create a national monument for the legacy of those who were enslaved.” Montpelier CEO Elizabeth Chew said that the plan for a national slavery monument was one of “big future projects” planned for Montpelier. The board announced its big monument plans on Sept. 17 at a little-noticed panel session (the video of the session has all of 91 views as of this writing), “Equal Power-Sharing at Montpelier,” at the mansion’s David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center. The New York Post has noted that David M. Rubenstein, who got the visitor center named after himself by donating millions to Montpelier, is “on the boards of the globalist World Economic Forum, China’s Tsinghua University, and the Council on Foreign Relations, among others.” What a surprise!

Larry Walker explained, according to a Saturday report in the New York Post, that he believed that slaves “deserve equal credit for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights because their labor financed the private lives of Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and many of the nation’s early leaders.” Why choose Madison’s home for the slavery monument when others among the Founding Fathers also owned slaves? Apparently, because he was unrepentant: “Madison owned 38 enslaved African Americans when he died in 1836 — and unlike George Washington, freed none of them in his will.” Nor did Madison denounce slavery even while owning slaves, as did Jefferson. Walker asserted: “The home of the Constitution should be the place that recognizes the contributions of descendants of the enslaved communities across America.”

Before wokeness took over Montpelier and the rest of the Western world, it was generally understood that human beings were complex and that a man could be heroic in one way even while having blind spots and weaknesses. Madison was much more than just a slaveowner, and according to the Post, “critics and historians say such a memorial would upend the fourth president’s legacy and become the center of attention at his own home.” Oh yes indeed. Historian Douglas MacKinnon declared: “These people are doing what any totalitarian regime would do. They want to create a whole new narrative not based on reality. As they say, the victor gets to write the history — and now our history is being rewritten before our eyes.”

That’s right. The woke have won the culture, or want us to believe that they have, and so they’re recasting American history as one of racism, white supremacy, colonialism, and other assorted evils. MacKinnon added: “A monument honoring America’s slaves is a worthy goal. But the only reason to build it at the home of James Madison is if you aim to deny, demean, and dismiss him by focusing on his weaknesses and not his massive contributions.”

That’s exactly what the Montpelier board wants to do. The Left hates James Madison, as well as Thomas Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers, for exactly the same things that make him great and worthy to be celebrated: Because he fought against tyranny. Because he helped create a free republic. Because he placed statements in those founding documents that would ultimately lead multitudes of the citizens of the new nation to believe that slavery was wrong and immoral and give their lives to bring about its abolition.

Madison is just the sort of man whom the fascist thugs of Antifa, busy smearing ACAB on the sides of buildings and hurling obscenities at police in pursuit of their vision of socialist utopia, and their moneyed backers despise and fear. They want Americans to hate America and the Constitution, so that they won’t defend either, and will submit meekly to their authoritarian vision. The example of James Madison could inspire Americans instead to work to save the free republic he did so much to leave for us. Can’t have that. Madison’s name must be made anathema to Americans. That’s the point of this national slavery monument at Montpelier.

‘Fundamentally Transforming’ America Into a Communist Hellhole

Let’s cut to the chase. In order to “fundamentally transform” America from a vibrant and free capitalist society into just another communist hellhole, you first have to tear it down completely, following the Marxist mantra of “the ends justify the means.”

In order to achieve that, it would include uncontrolled spending to create massive debt that the country simply cannot sustain, thereby crashing the economy. People see their savings and bank accounts dwindle to nothing as a result of ever-increasing inflation. Eventually finding themselves dependent on government handouts for their very survival.

In addition, open the borders and flood the country with illegal immigration, overwhelming the social welfare system that is put in place to provide help and support to Americans. Instead pass those resources onto those who illegally entered the country, justifying it all as a humanitarian gesture.

Create a ‘climate emergency’ and turn it into a clarion call for groups of people who are easily manipulated. Make energy independence a thing of the past, and Americans become more susceptible to the whims of other countries in providing the energy necessary to drive our country’s economy and allow people to go to work, and stay warm in the winter. Rolling power outages become the norm as electric services are purposefully disrupted, and people look to the government to solve the problems.

Normalize and ‘mainstream’ deviant behaviors and attack anyone or any group that supports traditional morality and traditional gender roles. Expose children and youths to the same deviancy, and take the teaching of morality out of the hands of parents. Also, attack traditional religion, and infiltrate and change organized religions from within by corrupting traditional doctrine into something accepting, even applauding what was once considered sin.

Then you undermine civil authorities. Neuter and demoralize the police so that crime runs rampant on America’s streets. People become fearful in their own homes and venture out only as a last resort. Once crime is out of control people become more willing to accept a strong government crackdown, including the loss of what were once considered sacrosanct Constitutional rights.

Also focus efforts on disarming the population so that they have no means of protecting themselves, or resisting government oppression. An unarmed society is much easier to control than a society where people can defend themselves against crime, and government overreach.

Make endless accusations against and demonize your political enemies, and cover up your own questionable and illegal activities. Accuse your opposition of racism and every kind of ‘phobia’ you can think of, with the help of a compliant news media that is under your complete control.

Weaken the military with arbitrary and meaningless social justice experiments, and spend less time training in actual warfighting capabilities. A demoralized military will experience retention problems of their most qualified and best leaders.

What’s going on is a multi-step process and has been well underway for decades now, but it kicked into high gear with the election of a barely concealed Marxist in 2008. The current administration is nothing more than a front, a convenient collection of useful idiots and Marxist allies for the one elected back in 2008.

So how do we stop it? Well, to use the left’s own words against them, we stop it “by any means necessary”. First off never ever give up your guns. The Second Amendment is the one thing that keeps the communist wolves at bat. Secondly, take back our education system. Time to stop the communist indoctrination of our children. Run for school boards so that you have a say in what textbooks your children learn from, and who teaches your children.  Thirdly, insist on fairness, and unbiased news media. If they refuse, hit them in the pocketbook by letting their advertisers know how you feel, and where you’ll be spending your money.

And finally, protect the integrity of the vote. ‘Election Day’ should be the only election day.  Too many opportunities for fraud to occur. Absentee ballots for people out of the country should be the only ‘mail-in voting’. Proper, government-issued identification only for verified American citizens should be acceptable proof that one is qualified to vote in any election. Registration to vote should be restricted to no less than one month prior to the date of the election.  No more drive up, register, and vote the same day.

Voting is a right for American citizens, but it also comes with responsibility. If exercising their vote is important enough to people, then people will follow whatever rules are put in place to protect the integrity of their vote.

We need to be prepared to do whatever is necessary to fight back and prevent the “fundamental transformation” of our country, America as a free nation is at risk. If that means raising the stakes on them first then so be it.  If we don’t, they’re going to do it to us.

We outnumber them by a large margin. We need to get better organized, and more committed. We can prevent the greatest nation on Earth from becoming just another communist hellhole.

The Justice Department has hit the Eagle Forum of Alabama with a voluminous subpoena that violates the organization’s First Amendment rights to speak freely, engage in the political process, and talk to their elected representatives. It’s an intimidation tactic, pure and simple, and shows just how partisan the department has become. This out-of-control behavior should scare every citizen and volunteer organization, no matter where they stand on the political or social spectrum.

Eagle Forum is a very small non-profit in Alabama. It only has one full-time employee and a second, part-time employee. Virtually all of its work on issues of interest to its members is done by volunteers.  It is the quintessential, uniquely American grassroots membership organization that French historian Alexis de Tocqueville lauded in Democracy in America.

As the Eagle Forum’s motion to quash the government subpoena says, one of the issues its members have been concerned over is “gender-altering medical treatment to minors” and the “permanent and adverse effects of such medical procedures on those minors.” Those serious, lifelong effects deeply concern many physicians and parents.

Members of the Eagle Forum made their worries known by doing things every American has an absolute right to do: they spoke out, made speeches, organized meetings, talked to other residents and organizations in the state, and contacted their elected state representatives. In other words, they exercised their constitutional rights to engage in “freedom of speech,” to “peaceably assemble,” and “to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” They also exercised their right to associate, recognized by the Supreme Court as implicit under the Fourteenth Amendment.

None of these activities should trigger stalking by Justice Department lawyers. So how has this come about?

Earlier this year, the Alabama legislature passed the Alabama Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, which became effective on May 8. It bans puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgery to alter the biological sex of a minor. A huge number of left-wing advocacy organizations immediately sued the state, and the U.S. Justice Department intervened in the lawsuit, echoing their claims that the new Alabama law violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

The Eagle Forum is not a party to the lawsuit. Yet the Justice Department has served what is referred to as a third-party subpoena on the Eagle Forum. This subpoena outrageously demands that the Eagle Forum and its members turn over all:

  • information and communications it has or engaged in over the law and any predecessor bills;
  • materials that were considered by the Forum connected to the legislation or any draft or model bills;
  • documents concerning the Forum’s “legislative or policy goals, initiatives, and/or strategies relating to medical care or treatment of transgender minors, or minors with gender dysphoria”;
  • communications with—and testimony, letters, reports, etc., sent to—state legislators or their staff; and any other government agencies and officials in Alabama over the legislation;
  • communications with any other nongovernmental organizations over the legislation;
  • internal minutes and records of meetings, polling, and public opinion data, video presentations and speeches, newsletters and emails, and social media postings related to the legislation.

In other words, the Justice Department wants to turn the Eagle Forum inside out, forcing it to turn over its records on everything it does. This would let government lawyers paw through and scrutinize everything, including privileged communications and even personal discussions and communications with other private citizens and nonprofit organizations.

And there isn’t a single, justifiable reason for the department to do this. The Eagle Forum is not a party in the lawsuit. It is not a government agency. It is not the legislature. It has no power to vote to enact this (or any) legislation or sign it into law.

Keep in mind that the lawsuit is making a constitutional claim. The plaintiffs, including the Justice Department, are arguing that the statute as written violates the U.S. Constitution. So, what do the Eagle Forum’s polling data or social media posts have to do with that constitutional question? What do its internal records, its “policy goals, initiatives, and/or strategies,” or the communications of its members with state legislators have to do with that issue?

The answer is absolutely nothing. None of the documents or information sought by the Justice Department has any relevance to whether the text of a state law violates the Fourteenth Amendment.

This subpoena, issued by Jason R. Cheeks, an attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Alabama, has but one intent: to harass and intimidate a conservative organization for daring to engage in the democratic process by working on an issue that inflames the Left.

The right to associate freely with other citizens who share your interests was recognized by the Supreme Court in 1959 in NAACP v. Alabama. Ironically enough, in that case, the Alabama state government was harassing the NAACP with similar demands for information due to its work on civil rights issues and legislation.

In an affidavit filed with the court in the current case, Rebecca Gerritson, the executive director of the Eagle Forum of Alabama, correctly warns:

If this subpoena is enforced, legitimate, law-abiding organizations like ours will be subject to scrutiny for engaging in constitutionally protected activities.  Further correspondence by EFA, including emails, notes, presentations, speeches, interviews, etc. could be weaponized by government officials who hold (or are being required to assert) opposite political views.  In addition, enforcement of the federal government’s subpoena would set a precedent that would stifle other citizens who want to exercise their constitutional right to make their views known to their elected officials on public policy matters.

This is a dangerous action by the Justice Department. It’s something that all Americans who value their constitutional rights should oppose.

UPDATE: The Justice Department has issued a press release announcing that Jason R. Cheek, the department lawyer who served this harassing subpoena on the Eagle Forum of Alabama, has been appointed by Jay E. Town, the U.S. Attorney for the northern part of the state, to “serve as the district election officer for the Northern District of Alabama” in the upcoming November election. So Cheek, the lawyer who is trying to intimidate state residents who are members of the Eagle Forum for speaking out and engaging in the democratic process, is the “district election officer” who will be responsible for “handling any complaints of election fraud or voting rights abuses.” Given Cheek’s reprehensible conduct in this case, this is not an appointment likely to generate confidence in the electorate of Alabama that the Justice Department will handle such complaints in a non-partisan, unbiased, and fair manner.

Schools nationwide contain inappropriate and sometimes pornographic materials in their libraries, often under the guise of “inclusivity.” Thankfully, states like Florida are empowering parents to have more input over materials and curricula, and parents are starting to fight back against subversive and obscene materials being made available to their children.

And First Lady Jill Biden doesn’t like it one bit. In an interview with NBC News correspondent Sheinelle Jones, she argued that parents shouldn’t be able to exclude any books from school libraries.

“Parents and politicians are now weighing in on what books should be in our school libraries, and what their kids are being taught,” Jones began “Where’s the line, in your opinion, with how much of a say parents have when it comes to what their kids are learning in school? Is there a balance between, you know, ‘This book should be in the library, this book is under review—”

“All books should be in the library,” Jill said, cutting off Jones before she could finish her question. “All books. This is America. We don’t ban books.”

Either Jill Biden is ignorant of what kind of materials are being made available to young children, or she doesn’t care. We’ve previously covered the kind of pornographic materials that have been put in school libraries, some of which promote the sexual activity of minors. But, Dr. Jill thinks it’s un-American to want to make sure children aren’t exposed to sexually graphic materials that groom them for pedophiles. Those damn un-American prudes who don’t want porn in schools!

The movement to erase history because great figures from the past didn’t comport to the sensibilities of the modern left continues to roll on. The latest example of this comes from an elementary school in New Jersey that is renaming itself because its namesake is a slaveholding founding father.

Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in South Orange, N.J. will rename itself for Delia Bolden, the first black female high school graduate in the area. The student body chose Bolden’s name from a list that included names of notable people with local connections and generic names not tied to a person.

The school district claims that students led the initiative to rename their school, although it’s hard to imagine a group of kids on the playground saying, “You know, that Thomas Jefferson sure was problematic.”

According to a report from Fox News, one school board member appears to have started the conversation over the summer.

“I want to make that point that Thomas Jefferson owned over 600 slaves,” board member Qawi Telesford said at a June meeting on the issue. “He freed two while he was alive and seven after he died, which basically means I have a 1.5% chance of being free in Thomas Jefferson’s world. So, I am not thankful to him. I am thankful to the people who made sure that I could actually be free and be on the board with you today.”

“Seeing the work that (the students) did, I think, exceeded the expectations of all of us who participated in that conversation, when that was the final outcome, to really engage our students and make this a real-life civics lesson with really strong connections to governance,” stated Superintendent Ronald Taylor about the decision.

If there’s an upside to the decision, it’s that the students chose to name the school after someone who grew up in the school system.

Our founding fathers and other historical figures weren’t perfect, but their failings shouldn’t eclipse the great things they achieved. Here’s hoping the tide of historical revisionism and the erasure of important American figures come to an end sooner rather than later.

Enormous Amounts of Money Flow into the Bottomless Education Pit How much will it really help student achievement?

Spurred by the Covid panic, schools have been the recipient of ungodly sums of money. And it’s not as if the beast was starving before. To put things into perspective, the U.S. spends about $800 billion on national defense, more than China, Russia, India, the U.K., France, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Japan combined, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. America now spends even more on k-12 education, with an outlay of about $900 billion dollars a year, which includes an additional $122 billion from the Covid-related American Rescue Plan. While we have a military that is second to none, our education spending does not lead to a similar result. Our annual education outlay is second highest in the world, trailing only Norway. But in achievement, we are in the middle of the pack. For example, the 2018 rankings by the Programme for International Student Assessment, PISA, has the U.S. 36th out of the 79 countries that participated in the math test, which is given to 15-year-olds.     

So where does all this money go?

Not much for the kids. In fact, Over 80% of it goes to salaries and benefits for teachers and other employees.

Maybe the money will help alleviate the teacher shortage?

Hardly. The teacher shortage writ large is non-existent. Using data from a National Education Association report, Mike Antonucci writes that there were 48,985,186 students enrolled in the nation’s public school system in 2021, about 256,000 fewer than in 2012. But school districts hired an additional 276,000 instructional staff during the same period. He adds that student enrollment fell 2.4 percent in the U.S. from fall 2019 to fall 2020, falling in every state and the District of Columbia, yet 17 states added teachers.

Maybe if we spend even more, it will equate to more student achievement?

Again, negative. In fact, there is no correlation between money spent and student proficiency whatsoever, and history bears this out. Using inflation-adjusted figures, we have increased our education spending over 17-fold in the last century. While there is no available data that tracks student performance for the early part of that time frame, the Cato Institute’s Andrew Coulson reported in 2012 that we tripled our spending between 1970 and 2010, and had absolutely no academic progress to show for it. Looking at more up-to-date data, even though spending rose, the average NAEP scores in math for Black and Hispanic students, and male and female 13-year-old students were lower in 2020 compared to 2012.

But shouldn’t teachers be paid more?

One other lie that has been told so many times that it is believed by many is that teachers are underpaid. Most recently, Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers came out with one of her typical statements that have no bearing in reality. In an interview, she asserted, “You have a hot labor market where teachers can get 20% more for the skills and knowledge they have teaching in non-teaching jobs.”

But according to Just Facts, in the 2020–21 school year, the average school teacher made $65,090 in salary, and received another $33,048 in benefits (such as health insurance, paid leave, and pensions) for $98,138 in total compensation.

Also, importantly, full-time public school teachers work an average of 1,490 hours per year, including time spent on lesson preparation, test construction, and grading, providing extra help to students, coaching, and other activities, while their counterparts in private industry workers work an average of 2,045 hours per year or about 27% more than public school teachers.

All in all, with various perks included, a teacher makes on average $68.85 an hour, whereas a private sector worker makes about $36 per hour. (While it’s true that the average teacher has more education than the average private sector worker, much of the added study is in our schools of education, which the late Walter Williams, a standout professor of economics at George Mason University, referred to as “the academic slums of most any college.” Also, a 2011 paper in the journal Education Policy Analysis Archives backs up Williams’ assertion, finding that education majors are subject to considerably “lower grading standards” than other college students.)  

Regarding the recent $122 billion infusion of money into education, The Wall Street Journal reports that as of May, states and school districts had spent only 7% of it. As such, Tim Scott, U.S. senator from South Carolina, has proposed the  “Recover Act,” which would allow states and school districts to use their unspent dollars from the American Rescue Plan to “issue Child Opportunity Scholarships directly to parents. The scholarships, targeted for low-income students, could be used for tutoring, school tuition, curriculum materials, educational therapies for children with disabilities, and other resources designed to get students the individualized help they need.”

Scott’s idea is certainly sound, but any move to empower parents will be met by fierce resistance from the education establishment.

I can hear shrieks coming from the Randi Weingartens of the world. “Children must go to a school run by the government with a state credentialed (unionized) teacher! Education is too important to leave to the whims of the free market! We just need more (and more) money!”

The simple response here to the union boss and fellow travelers is to compare education to food. To feed your family, do you go to the government-run supermarket near your home? Of course not. You find a local, privately-run store that has the food you want at the best price. Just imagine if the government forced you to buy food from that awful government market down the street that sold rancid meat, overripe fruit, and month-old bread, and was staffed by incompetent store employees.

Also, making education into a free market entity would dictate that teachers be paid according to their effectiveness. The great ones would become wealthy while the competent ones would still make a good living, and the stinkers would be looking for work in another field.

The establishmentarians would then clutch their pearls and whine, “But, what about poor people who can’t afford to pay for their kids’ education! The answer is that we will do the same thing for schooling that we do for food. If a family demonstrates it can’t afford to buy food, we give them a SNAP card so they can buy groceries. Similarly, we can assist impoverished families by helping to subsidize their child’s education.

Pouring endless sums of money into the government-run education black hole is a terrible idea. It does little for children, while it scams the taxpayers. But it does fortify and enrich the educational industrial complex.

It’s now time to change course and become competitive in the field of education. Our future depends on it.

The FBI did not raid President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate to retrieve documents he wrongly took from the White House after he “lost” the 2020 election.

Rather, former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy says, the FBI used that excuse to cover the agency’s real goal: to find evidence with which they can link Trump to the mostly peaceful protest at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, which Democrats falsely call an “insurrection.”

Federal prosecutors would then use that information to indict Trump for one or more crimes. 

And frighteningly, as Legal Insurrection’s William Jacobson observed, the government is moving on all fronts. Yesterday, the FBI seized U.S. Representative Scott Perry’s personal phone. Several congressmen, including GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, received subpoenas to testify before the January 6 “insurrection” committee, which is led by a former insurrection sympathizer.

The Democrats’ goal: Stop Trump from running for president in 2024, and make him the issue in November’s midterm elections.

Stop Trump for 2024

Writing for the New York Post, McCarthy explained that Democrats hope to get evidence with which they can indict Trump.

When Trump left office, he took 15 boxes of records that he subsequently returned to the National Archives upon request. But if the documents he returned were classified, they “were thus potentially evidence of crimes. In addition, since it is believed Trump did not return everything that was shipped out of the White House in those hectic days of January 2021, there was significant reason to suspect he continued to retain classified information at Mar-a-Lago.”

But the real goal isn’t to indict Trump for monkeyshines with documents. For one thing, even if Trump were convicted under the relevant law, Section 2071 of the federal penal code, which bars those convicted under it from seeking office, “the Justice Department well knows that the qualifications for a presidential candidate are set out in the Constitution,” McCarthy continued:

They may not be altered by statute, precisely because the Framers did not want the executive branch to be dominated by the legislature, as would happen if Congress could disqualify incumbent or potential presidents simply by passing a law. The Constitution’s qualifications for the presidency are minimal — one must be over 35 and a natural-born citizen. Being a felon is not a disqualification, so even crimes potentially far more serious than mishandling classified information are not a bar to seeking the presidency.

Moreover, the Constitution also prescribes the basis for disqualifying a person from seeking the presidency or other federal office: conviction by the Senate on an impeachment article voted by the House. Again, what is prescribed by the Constitution may not be altered by a mere statute. To trigger disqualification, Congress would have to impeach and convict Trump; it cannot be done by criminal prosecution.

Thus, the supposed classified documents Trump retained are “a pretext to obtain a warrant” to look for evidence that would link Trump to the “insurrection” — “a Capitol riot offense — either a violent crime, such as seditious conspiracy to forcibly attack a government installation (which is highly unlikely), or a non-violent crime, such as conspiracy to obstruct the January 6 joint session of Congress to count electoral votes, or conspiracy to defraud the government.”

Phone Seized, Congressmen Subpoenaed

Jacobson explained the raid this way: “This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown.”

That crackdown, though, has begun. A day after the FBI raided Trump’s home, it seized Perry’s cellphone.

The congressman from Pennsylvania strongly protested subpoenas the January 6 committee sent in May to Representatives Kevin McCarthy of California, Jim Jordan of Ohio, Andy Biggs of Arizona, and Mo Brooks of Alabama.

Perry received one, too.

“That this illegitimate body leaked their latest charade to the media ahead of contacting targeted Members is proof positive once again that this political witch hunt is about fabricating headlines and distracting the Americans from their abysmal record of running America into the ground,” he told Axios.

The raid at Trump’s home, Jacobson wrote, is “also a provocation to get Trump to declare his candidacy for President before the midterms. Democrats would love to turn 2022 into a referendum on Trump rather than the deliberate destruction of the national borders and inflation.”

“Would the FBI and DOJ do such a thing?” he continued:

Aren’t they “above” politics? The then FBI Director James Comey admitted to trying to set up the new President Trump by alerting him to the Steele Dossier, and then leaked the story of the briefing to CNN, which gave license to report on the false allegations in the dossier. So yes, the FBI and DOJ would do such a thing, and have done such a thing to Trump.

It is peculiar that Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence was dramatically raided at this particular time, in a stunningly unprecedented act by the FBI, when National Archives had already inventoried the contents of Trump’s boxes back in February. The National Archives was quoted as stating in February that it was “in the process of inventorying the contents of the boxes,” and also insisted that the process was “part of a MUTUAL ongoing effort to retrieve presidential documents, not a raid.”

Most of the mainstream media were quick to report last night that Eric Trump told Fox News that the FBI raid was conducted over documents sought by National Archives, but they left out the most important part of Eric’s statement: Donald Trump’s full cooperation, as well as Eric’s. 

The motive of the FBI is clearly evident in the invasion of Trump’s residence. The raid was agenda-driven with midterm elections in mind, to soup up the Democrat and legacy media narrative, which will include plenty of spin and further lies, this time about what will likely be presented as the discovery of what was in Trump’s files. Trump issued a statement:

These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024…

From Adam Schiff’s flat-out lies against Trump in a big, expensive Russian collusion hoax to a refusal to investigate the corrupt Hunter Biden and Hillary Clinton (including her long history of mishandling and hiding classified documents), America is now under a two-tier system of justice: one for Democrats and another for Republicans, especially Donald Trump.

The New York Times reported in April on Joe Biden’s determination to ruin Trump:

Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, according to two people familiar with his comments. And while the president has never communicated his frustrations directly to Mr. Garland, he has said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor…

A federal judge had to sign off on the Mar-a-Lago raid, although the identity of the judge has not been revealed as of this writing. Meanwhile, the White House denies any prior knowledge of the FBI plans, if you can trust what comes out of the Biden White House. The weaponization of the justice system and security state has risen to a new level. Democrat tactics match the levels of corruption expected in countries such as Venezuela, where the rule of law hardly exists anymore. As Lara Trump stated on Fox News last night: “if they are doing this to a past President, what will they do to you?” She is right. They are unscrupulous and will come after anyone who challenges the deep state and its woke ideologies, which they are pushing on children in primary schools.

The desperation of the corrupt Democrat establishment is evident in the invasion of Mar-a-Lago. It shows their fear of the consequences they know they would face in the event of a Trump election win. The DOJ and FBI now bear an incredible burden of proof. Trump wasn’t even anywhere near Mar-a-Lago when the FBI invasion was launched, so there was no valid concern about him possibly destroying evidence. It was rather, a stunt.

Now, all mainstream media attention is back to savaging Trump, justifying the indefensible while Democrat sharks and their cronies trample upon American due process. Attention will now be shifted away from the decrepit Joe Biden and the mess he’s made of the country domestically and abroad, just in time for the mid-terms. As Churchill once said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” This has become the Democrat mission statement in the many crises they create in order to win by the dirtiest means possible. Let’s hope the Mar-a-Lago stunt backfires.

(Natural News) Beyond the obvious analysis of the FBI / DOJ / Biden terror crusade against President Trump and We the People, what I’ve pointed out in the Situation Update podcast below are three critical points to understand:

  1. One of the goals of the raid on Mar-A-Lago is to try to provoke an armed civil war uprising among the American people so that the DOJ and FBI can label all Trump supporters as violent extremists.
  2. The brazen nature of the raid on Trump’s private residence is strong evidence that the deep state plans a major disruption or false flag that would suspend the mid-term elections. It’s clear they are not afraid to violate the rule of law and anger the American people, since they believe they will never again have to answer to the people anyway.
  3. The Democrats now believe they have so much power that they no longer need to even pretend to be the good guys. Now, they are just brazenly carrying out acts of terrorism against the American people, with no regard for any blowback because, as stated above, they do not believe they will ever have to answer voters ever again (because there will never be fair and free elections in America as long as they remain in power).

So we are now living under a lawless, tyrannical terrorism regime that’s pretending to be a legitimately elected “democratic” government but is nothing of the kind.

Essentially, this means that no state, no state governor, and no American is obliged to recognize the authority of any branch of the federal government under this regime, as the regime is utterly lawless and despotic and has abandoned every mechanism of due process and the rule of law. This regime now rules by force and coercion, not by the consent of the governed. Thus, America has transitioned from a nation of goodwill and a reasonable social contract of governance to an authoritarian regime that wields its political power as a weapon to destroy the political opposition, media opposition, and election integrity.

The Biden regime is now actively engaged in straight-up treason against the United States of America, and the American people are slowly waking up to this horrifying fact.

They no longer care what you think, since your vote and opinions no longer matter to the tyrants in charge

The intention of this regime is to cancel or control all elections, online speech, media publications, and all three branches of government from this day forward, establishing a unipolar political monstrosity that eliminates all opposition from any sector of society. They are very close to having achieved this outcome following the rigging of the 2020 election and the cooperation with communist China to weaponize SARS-CoV-2 and unleash a biological weapon against the American people in order to destroy the economy and control the masses. Even now, 70% of US adults have taken at least one dose of a covid-19 vaccine, according to the CDC and reported by Reuters. This means that nearly three out of four Americans have been injected with a depopulation death jab, and a significant percentage of those people will be dead from the vaccine before the end of 2030.

Technically, that’s over 231 million Americans who have been injected with a deadly shot. If just 20% of those die in the next decade, that’s 46 million Americans who will be victims in this vaccine holocaust pushed by both Trump and Biden. (Yes, Trump started it and handed the baton to Biden in a tag-team effort.) Are you beginning to see the bigger picture yet?

Violence is what the regime wants… and that’s why we must not resort to violence

The truth is, the American people have been targeted for extermination by the regime. And if the people rise up, they will be deemed “extremists” and subjected to a domestic military response, likely coupled with a nationwide gun confiscation effort and a declared emergency that will attempt to suspend all elections. This is why it is crucial that the American people do not resort to a violent uprising to escape this tyranny. Peaceful methods must be employed so that the authoritarian regime isn’t handed a justification to increase their level of violence and tyranny against the American people. Furthermore, we must not give the regime an excuse to declare a state of emergency before the mid-term elections.

As we get closer to the elections in November, we fully expect the regime to become increasingly desperate, and we believe they are likely to do something truly extreme such as setting off a dirty bomb, detonating a nuclear bomb in a US city, taking down the power grid and blaming Russia, freezing the banking system with an engineered liquidity freeze, launching an EMP weapon against the US to blame China or North Korea, igniting World War III with China or Russia, unleashing a hemorrhagic fever virus against the population or igniting a civil war in some region of the country. There is nothing the regime won’t do to stay in power and terrorize the American people.

Do not be suckered into violence. That’s what the regime wants.

At the same time, do not give in to tyranny. Support pro-America candidates like Kari Lake and Blake Masters. Continue your preparedness efforts to survive after the chaos is unleashed. Have backup comms, food, emergency medicine, and systems of off-grid money such as precious metals or barter items. Voice your opinions to your representatives in Congress, and demand they take action to investigate the regime for its tyranny and lawlessness. Contact your state governor and demand they nullify the FBI, DOJ, ATF, and IRS. It is now perfectly clear that America is going to be plunged into a horrific scenario of strife and collapse, and only those who are prepared and determined will survive the onslaught.

When the FBI raided Donald Trump’s home on Monday, a key aspect of what made the United States of America great and free has been lost, and likely cannot be recovered. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson detested one another for years before their eventual reconciliation, but neither one used the agencies of the U.S. government to hound, persecute or discredit the other. Other bitter political opponents throughout the history of the republic have never before used the government’s own mechanisms of justice to do injustice to their foes. Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and their henchmen have brought America to a new phase of its history, and it is not likely to be one that is marked by respect for the rule of law or defense of the rights of individual citizens. Instead, we are entering an ugly age of authoritarianism, in which the brute force of the state is used to bend the people to the will of the tyrant.

Trump announced on Monday, “These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. The 45th president is not given to understatement, but the FBI raid on his home is much more than just unnecessary and inappropriate. It is criminal. The FBI that was heavily involved in trying to frame and destroy Trump in the Russian Collusion hoax is now trying once again to destroy him, apparently by claiming that he improperly took classified material from the White House. They never cared when Hillary Clinton misused classified material on a grand scale; what is the difference? They’re also likely trying to find something to link him more firmly to the January 6 “insurrection” that never was. The Left’s January 6 narrative has been full of holes from the beginning: Trump told the demonstrators to proceed peacefully, the people who entered the Capitol had no weapons, and no one had sketched out any kind of plan to do what the Left continues to claim that Trump was trying to do all along, overthrow the government and rule as a dictator.

But Joe Biden’s handlers are desperately afraid that Trump will return to the White House on January 20, 2025 and that things will go harder for them next time than they did during his first term. They’re afraid that a vengeful Trump will do a genuine and thorough housecleaning of the desperately corrupt and compromised Washington bureaucracy, and that many of them will, quite justly, end up out of power, and some of them will, even more justly, end up in prison. So they’ve determined to pre-emptively do the same to Trump. If they can’t actually find anything to prosecute him for (and Lord knows they’ve tried, this is the most investigated and poked and prodded and scrutinized man in American history, and still those who hate him have nothing), then at very least they hope to taint Trump so completely in the eyes of the distracted and indifferent public that they will have a fighting chance in 2024.

This is banana republic stuff. This is the kind of thing that moved Woodrow Wilson to intervene militarily in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua, explaining: “We are friends of constitutional government in America; we are more than its friends, we are its champions. I am going to teach the South American republics to elect good men.” Wilson was an authoritarian scoundrel and one of the worst presidents we have ever endured, but much as he hated Theodore Roosevelt and feared that he would be reelected to the presidency in 1920 (instead, Roosevelt died in 1919), Wilson never had rogue government agents raid Roosevelt’s home looking for something they could use to pin some crime on him.

Merrick Garland recently signaled that something like this was in the offing when he emphasized that no one was above the law and anyone could be prosecuted. No one is above that law, that is, except Hillary Clinton, Hunter Biden, all the FBI officials who have been implicated in the Russian Collusion hoax, and all the other Leftists who have escaped and will continue to escape prosecution because they hold what the elites consider to be acceptable political opinions.

The two-tier justice system that aggressively prosecutes conservatives while turning a blind eye to Leftists who have committed similar or worse crimes is now out in the open. Trump did nothing, but the FBI will find some crime for which the Justice Department will prosecute him. Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden did a great deal, but none of it matters to corrupt officials who share their worldview.

The lesson is clear: in America today, in the corrupt kleptocracy of Joe Biden, you have to have the right opinions. Then all doors will open for you and you can even break laws with impunity, and have no fear of prosecution. But if you dare to dissent from the opinions of the elites, prepare to be hounded by the new super-IRS and the weaponized FBI, and you’ll face raids, prison, and who knows what else is coming.

Many conservatives are saying that this ensures Trump’s victory in 2024. But what makes them think that this corrupt regime will allow the man whom they fear and hate above all others to return to the White House? It’s clear now. They will stop at nothing.

Biden’s Cybersecurity Chief Says National Security Apparatus Must Focus on ‘Dismantling Systemic Racism’

Is there a single agency in Old Joe Biden’s catastrophic administration that hasn’t been completely corrupted and politicized? Apparently not. Recently, the White House announced that it appointed Camille Stewart Gloster to the post of Deputy National Cyber Director for Technology and Ecosystem Security; she will lead the Office of the National Cyber Director’s “ongoing efforts to strengthen the security and development of our Nation’s cyber ecosystem — across people, processes, and technology.” That’s great, but Camille Stewart Gloster herself has other priorities in mind: she has repeatedly claimed that the real national security we face is “systemic racism.”

On August 24, 2020, the Better Life Lab (“Elevating the Value of Care. Advancing Gender Equity. Reframing the Narrative of Work-Family Justice,” you get the idea) tweeted that Stewart Gloster, among others, would participate in a “discussion about systemic racism and the major threat it poses to U.S. national security.”

Stewart Gloster responded: I hope all of my #NatSec & #ForeignPolicy colleagues join us for this important discussion. On the heels of the horrific shooting of #JacobBlake, it is clear there is a lot of work to be done generally & our #NatSec apparatus must be a part of dismantling systemic racism.” She has also claimed that Biden’s administration, not having failed comprehensively enough for her taste, should make “pursuing anti-racist and anti-hate policy outcomes” a focus of its national security apparatus.

How Xi and Putin and the Ayatollah Khamenei must laugh at all this. It was just a few weeks ago that FBI Director Christopher Wray said that Iran had attempted to hack the computer system of Boston Children’s Hospital; according to Wray, this was “one of the most despicable cyberattacks I’ve ever seen.” He added: “We cannot let up on China or Iran or criminal syndicates while we’re focused on Russia.”

Maybe so, but Camille Stewart Gloster, whom Biden’s handlers hired away from Google (of course) and who previously worked in the Department of Homeland Security during the Obama administration, has an altogether different focus. In October 2020, she claimed that the “U.S. Economy Lost $16 Trillion b/c Of Racism against Black Americans in a range of areas, including in education & access to business loans By [sic] comparison, U.S. GDP totaled $19.5 tril last yr.”

On Nov. 7, 2020, she tweeted an apocalyptic all-caps rant: “I HOPE THIS REINFORCES YOU ALL DOING THE WORK TO ERADICATE HATE & BIOGTRY [sic]. SYSTEMIC RACISM WILL RUIN THIS DEMOCRACY. AMERICA, I HOPE YOU ARE READY!!” This alleged systemic racism, of course, didn’t end when Old Joe stumbled into the Oval Office. In April 2021, Stewart Gloster tweeted: “We need to root out systemic racism in every institution not just the criminal justice system.”

Every institution, including the one that is supposedly devoted to protecting American individuals and organizations from cyber attacks. Utterly enmeshed in her paranoid fantasies, in June 2020, Stewart Gloster wrote in a column for the Council on Foreign Relations that was actually entitled “Systemic Racism Is a National Security Threat.”

In it, she asserted that “technical and policy mitigations in cybersecurity need to account for the weaknesses of our society, systems, and institutions in their implementations. The places where democracy breaks down and the ugliness of our past sins are laid bare and unaddressed are where we are most vulnerable. Technical and policy mitigations to cybersecurity challenges will never reach their full potential until systemic racism is addressed and diverse voices are reflected among our ranks at all levels.” She added: “Cybersecurity professionals also need to understand how communities of color are disproportionately affected by cyberattacks that target critical infrastructure.”

Shortly after the 2020 election, Stewart Gloster wrote in The Hill: “One thing made painfully clear through the 2020 election cycle is that race is America’s Achilles heel. The weaponization of race undermines our democracy and causes far-reaching national security threats. Systemic racism also disenfranchises minority groups and is exacerbated by international and domestic policy decisions.”

Well, yeah. If anyone knows about the weaponization of race, it’s Camille Stewart Gloster. And she envisions a world in which it will be weaponized much more: she called for “empowering U.S. foreign policy leaders to talk about systemic racism in the U.S on a global stage and acknowledging the detrimental effects of racism at home and in U.S. foreign policy towards regions of the world.”

That’s right. While Putin moves into Ukraine and Xi eyes Taiwan, our cybersecurity czar wants American leaders to be rattling on about imaginary “systemic racism.” Yeah, that’ll restore our tarnished superpower status in a heartbeat.

The United States is in a world war, and it’s insidious because there is no shooting right now. Under banners such as “the Green New Deal,” the “Great Reset,” “Build Back Better,” and “Social Justice and the Greater Good,” this war is being waged by groups and cabals both within and from outside our borders. In short, we face irregular and unrestricted warfare against the sovereignty of the United States—the world’s oldest constitutional republic that has provided more freedom and opportunity to its citizens than any other government in the history of mankind.

Once you understand the basic facts behind total unrestricted warfare, everything begins to make sense.

Unlike the physical territory and fronts of conventional war, the battlefield of this war is the mind and soul. The goal is to confuse and demoralize Americans through ideological, spiritual, psychological operations (psyops), “lawfare” and a range of other deceptions. Unrecognized by most, this war has been going on during the last century in different forms and from different actors. The primary targets of this war are the American people’s sense of identity and belonging—their family orientation, their faith in God, and their appreciation for their country. The enemy battle plan revolves around creating division within America in every way: between children and parents, between young and old, between races, between genders, and between heterosexuals and homosexuals. The recent explosion of a transgender movement may be a marker of nearing the end, for no civilization survives when individuals turn upon themselves.

The common thread of those who want to take America down is a secular globalist vision that nullifies the sovereignty of the nation-state. For these elites, the United States and its Constitution stand in their way and are their biggest obstacle.

The first socialist totalitarian globalist regime was the Soviet communist system known as the USSR, established in 1919 by Bolshevik revolutionaries Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky, both of whom were financed by wealthy capitalist businessmen in London, Frankfurt, and New York.

After World War II, the second totalitarian state was established by Mao Zedong in 1949 as the People's Republic of China (PRC). In 1989, the USSR ended due to the collapse of its socialist economic system, and the fifteen Soviet satellite countries, including Ukraine, regained their independence. The Communist Party of China (CCP) then took the baton of global communism, leaving behind a legacy of its bloody cultural revolution and the genocide of some 65 million of its own citizens. Learning from the failure of socialism in the USSR, the CCP adopted a modified market system in the early 1980s. Even though this market system was under the control of the CCP, its incentives combined with the entrepreneurial culture in China catalyzed rapid economic growth that lifted a significant portion of the Chinese population out of poverty.

More than any country, China has a unique war-fighting orientation that traces back to fourth century B.C. military philosopher-strategist, Sun Tzu, whose name means “Grand Master.” Chinese military and political decision-makers still embrace Sun Tzu’s admonition to “break the enemy’s resistance without fighting,” and to exploit the normalcy bias by “engaging the enemy with what they expect as it is what they are able to discern and it will confirm their projections… and it will settle them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary moment—that which they cannot anticipate.”

In the latter 1980s, China announced to the world that they were open for business, offering a huge market for foreign brand products and a low-cost manufacturing platform. The CCP deemed this the best way for their country’s economy to catch up to the developed countries of the world. And so, they created rules of engagement, also known as “lawfare,” that included 51 percent ownership of all joint ventures established in China so as to assure control and guarantee access to technology. Thus, the Chinese gained access to American companies’ patents and designs. Last month the US Chamber of Commerce’s Global IP Center (GIPC) reported that as much as 86 percent of the world’s counterfeit goods originate from China.

While wooing American companies to offshore their manufacturing and assembly to China, the CCP was building and infiltrating channels in the United States at many levels. Those channels included universities and think tanks, social and cultural groups, Chinese-language media, and Chinese cultural organizations—such as Confucius Institutes, and WeChat, the Chinese social media and messaging app. Newsweek has identified about 600 Chinese groups operating in the U.S. that are all in regular touch with and guided by the CCP.

Western business leaders and politicians have naively assumed that trade and exchange would liberalize China while improving its top and bottom lines. However, these assumptions have proven false. Under Xi Jinping’s CCP rule since 2012, a rise of technocratic power and totalitarian control has resulted in:

- increased extralegal detention of political dissidents and televised forced confessions.

- increased repression of journalists and all independent religious groups

- deployment of tens of millions of trolls to maintain Chinese propaganda on international social media sites

- deployment of more than 300 million surveillance cameras in China with facial recognition.

- the installation of spyware on all smartphones sold in China

- control of Chinese citizen mobility and spending money through social credit scoring

- A military buildup that has given China the largest army and navy in the world

China’s neighbors and trade partners face many threats, but the fall of Taiwan to CCP control would change everything. Taiwan is the largest and most important manufacturer of semiconductor chips upon which the U.S. military and the entire world depend.

The challenge from the CCP comes at a time when there are also rising challenges from consortiums of other globalists, like the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Bilderbergers—two organizations headquartered in Europe with many members and extensive reach into countries around the world.

It’s no coincidence that the Covid-19 virus originating in China in late 2019 gave birth to one of the largest global psyops in peacetime history. That psyop, which was explicitly designed to promote fear, started with the CCP’s approval to release images of total lockdowns in Wuhan, with apartment entry doors being welded shut and bags of dead or dying pet dogs and cats piled up on sidewalks awaiting pickup and burial.

Klaus Schwab, WEF founder and chairman, built on the Covid fear psyop, stating “the Covid pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world to create a healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous future." Among WEF’s eight predictions for the world in 2030, we are told: “You will own nothing. And you will be happy.”

Owning nothing is of course the Chinese communist model of control, and Klaus Schwab has cultivated relationships in China for the last 40 years. In 2017, Schwab commented that “President Xi's [WEF] attendance and speech were of tremendous historical significance, and they filled us with confidence for the future.” Quoting President Xi's ideas of "a community with a shared future for mankind" and the "Chinese Dream," Schwab said that “President Xi's speech was crucial for building an innovative, open, fair and inclusive society, and that the Chinese Dream is connected with the global dream.”

On December 10, 2018, the CCP awarded Klaus Schwab the China Reform Friendship Medal. Schwab’s response: “…the WEF will continue to work with China to make greater contributions to building a harmonious society and a community with a shared future for mankind featuring peace, prosperity, and mutual understanding.”

In 2020, the Covid Pandemic psyop was the critical factor in opening the flood of mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting that helped pave the way for Biden's election win.

Xi Jinping, the CCP, Klaus Schwab, and the WEF are allies in sharing a similar globalist totalitarian perspective. They see no role for private property and believe all citizens should be controlled through surveillance. In April 2022, Schwab’s lead advisor Yuval Noah Harari cast the WEF vision of “a constant monitoring and total biometric surveillance, under the skin.”

When we overlay the recruitment and infiltration by the WEF and the CCP in American affairs and institutions with the knowledge that we now have of Joe Biden family’s receipt of $31 million in financial payments from the Chinese, we are confronted with an unprecedented national security risk. The compromised position of Biden is the most plausible explanation for his doing nothing about our open border and Chinese fentanyl killing Americans and his recent executive orders changing China policy:

- The February decision to end the U.S. China Initiative was designed to protect U.S. national security against Chinese spying and countering national security threats, such as "identifying and prosecuting those engaged in trade secret theft, hacking, and economic espionage," as well as "protecting our critical infrastructure against external threats through foreign direct investment and supply chain compromises."

- The July decision by President Biden to sell a million barrels of oil from the United States' strategic reserve to a Chinese company in which Hunter Biden’s private equity company held a $1.7 billion stake.

In sum, the success in the infiltration and psyops of WEF and the CCP are widespread but poorly understood. And if the end game arrives, WEF gets squashed like a bug because it’s the CCP who has the guns and the real power.

A course change for America is way overdue. Let’s start by taking a maxim or two out of Sun Tzu’s playbook: get out of denial, study and know the enemy, and use every means to subdue him without bloodshed.

(Natural News) Immigrant children fresh from Central and South America, the Caribbean and China are now being taught at a Boston public school that assassinating people you don’t like is sometimes appropriate in order to resist “oppression.”

Humanities teachers at Charlestown High School who are part of the Sheltered English Immersion program are reportedly telling ninth- and tenth-grade students in the program that they need to “critically examine when certain forms of resistance might be appropriate,” one of them being the assassination of political figures.

The website of the Boston Teachers Union (BTU) contains curriculum documents outlining “notes and assignments around oppression, resistance, and narrative structure,” which include “detailed note-taking sheets and powerpoints [sic] on institutional, interpersonal, and internalized oppression.”

Instead of teaching these children new to America about our nation’s history, as well as how to read and write, employees at Charlestown High School are telling them about three different types of oppression: “Institutional,” “Interpersonal,” and “Internalized” – only one of these three words actually being spelled correctly on the worksheets.

One listed example of oppression at the institutional level is “Trump builds a wall on the border so it is harder for Latinos to enter the U.S.” One example of interpersonal oppression is “A husband tells his wife she must stay home to cook and clean.”

As for internalized oppression, one example used is “An Asian girl hates her eyes, she thinks she is ugly so she gets surgery to change them.”

Former teacher says she’s “disgusted” by these worksheets

After reading these examples, the students were then told to come up with their own examples based on the samples, as well as solutions including boycotts, sit-ins, petitions, and other “peaceful protest” methods.

Also presented were examples of violent forms of revolt, including riots with masked protesters throwing projectiles, people fighting and political assassinations, the latter of which was presented alongside an image of President Richard Nixon in crosshairs.

The first thing these students learning English as a second language (ESL) are being told upon entry into the United States is that the country is oppressive and that assassination is one way to respond to that oppression.

“These English language learners [in these classrooms] are likely new immigrants to the country, coming to this country to experience freedom, [but in Boston] they’ve run smack dab into Marxist indoctrinators posing as educators,” warns Rebecca Friedrichs, the founder of the advocacy group For Kids & Country.

Also the author of “Standing up to Goliath: Battling State and National Teachers’ Unions for the Heart and Soul of our Kids and Country,” Friedrichs, who worked as a teacher for 28 years, says she is “disgusted” by what she saw on these worksheets, calling the material “damaging and dangerous.”

“Schools are meant for educating children, not indoctrinating them in radical ideology,” she added in a statement. (Related: America’s public schools are also indoctrinating students to become transgenders.)

Award-winning international journalist and executive director of the advocacy group Public School Exit Alex Newman agrees. He says that the material at Charlestown High School is “clearly designed to indoctrinate children into seeing themselves as victims of oppression.”

“They seem to be promoting revolt and resistance to legitimate forms of authority,” he told The Epoch Times, pointing specifically to the idea that the way to deal with oppression is to “overthrow” it.

“Legitimate authorities must be brought down if they want to impose new authorities,” Newman added, defending the status quo. This “indoctrination program,” as he called it, is “an extension of that same lawless agenda.”

If you needed one example of how destructive leftism has been to mainstream Christianity, both Catholic and Protestant, and to non-Orthodox Judaism, this banner would suffice.

God says, “Protect Abortion Access For All”? Where? Why? Terminating innocent life, that’s God’s will? Does this include abortions of viable babies undergone by healthy mothers? Is that, too, God’s will?

“Ensure black lives matter”? Blacks, like every other racial, ethnic, and national grouping of human beings are created in God’s image. But if this banner implies support for the group Black Lives Matter, that is another matter. God abhors groups that affirm racism. Unlike the Left, the Bible knows that anyone, black or white, can be racist.

As regards LGBTQ+, the Bible goes out of its way to uphold divine distinctions such as good and evil, God and human, human and animal, and male and female. When God creates the human being, the Bible asserts this last distinction as clearly as possible: “Male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27).

“Turn guns into plows” is, of course, taken from the Prophet Isaiah’s call to “Beat your swords into plows” (Isaiah 2:4). Unfortunately for the Church of the Covenant, another biblical prophet says the very opposite: “Beat your plows into swords… let the weak say, I am strong” (Joel 4:10). Unlike the Left, the Bible understands that while the ultimate dream is that human beings have no need for swords, until that messianic age, the weak must have swords.

As for abandoning fossil fuels, these ubiquitous sources of energy have been one of God’s gifts to humanity. Without them, the modern world would not have been possible. No hospitals, no reliable heat in the winter (not to mention cold in the summer), no transportation beyond riding animals. No modern medicine. Nothing in the way of modern technology. Just a primitive life — and a short and painful one at that. God would say before abandoning these fuels, make sure you have a reliable substitute. (We do: nuclear power.) Until then, thank God for His gift of fossil fuels.

As regards sanctuary, if the meaning is sanctuaries for illegal aliens, on the basis of what biblical idea does the Church of the Covenant infer that God wants America — or any other country — to have open borders?

“Abolishing prisons” alone is an idea that should alienate any rational and moral human being from the Left. Abolishing prisons means allowing an enormous number of innocent people to be murdered and beaten, of women to be raped, of shops to be looted, and of children to be molested. Nothing exemplifies the moral idiocy at the heart of leftism as well as “abolish prisons.”

If a traditional church did put up such a banner, it would make national news and its leaders would be dismissed as right-wing religious zealots for putting words into God’s mouth. Only left-wing churches and synagogues are allowed to speak for the Almighty.

Of all the Ten Commandments, only one states that its violation cannot be forgiven. It is the Third Commandment: “Do not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain because He will not forgive whoever takes His name in vain.”

Nearly everyone familiar with the Commandment thinks the Commandment prohibits saying the word “God” outside of prayer or Bible study. But it cannot mean that. What kind of God would forgive a murderer but not someone who said, “God, did I have a tough day at work today”?

Clearly, the Third Commandment must mean something else. And it does. As I explain in my Bible commentary, “The Rational Bible,” the Hebrew actually says, “Do not carry the name of the Lord thy God in vain…”

“Carry,” not “take.”

Doing evil in God’s name or attaching God’s name to false or immoral ideas is the one sin God will not forgive.

And that is the sin of left-wing churches and synagogues. They carry God’s name in vain. Indeed, they desecrate it.

What is happening to Christianity and Judaism provides yet another example of the most important principle of modern life: Whatever the Left touches it destroys.

Anyone who takes the advice of the FDA and CDC is venturing down a rabbit hole of dangerous, experimental medications and pesticide-laden, processed GMO food, all of which fuels the chronic sick care industry of America. To rub salt in that ‘long term’ wound, the economy is quickly crashing and burning (by design), causing consumers and patients to spend even more of the quickly-dwindling money they have left. The combination of major issues Americans face today is leading to mass casualties and apocalyptic situations. None of these problems are accidental or caused by natural forces, but rather are well-planned and executed by corrupt corporations, government agencies, and of course, Big Pharma.

Chronic inflammation, for example, has always been a problem for the majority of Americans who eat processed food daily, drink tap water, take prescription drugs, and get every vaccine the CDC recommends. Now, the Fauci Flu clot shots are clogging the vascular system of hundreds of millions of ‘patients’ with spike proteins that exacerbate health problems to the fullest extent.

Now the FDA and CDC are pushing these dangerous, experimental gene therapy injections for children, babies, and pregnant women alike. This will surely skyrocket the ‘sudden death syndrome’ that’s sweeping the nation, and the ‘spontaneous abortions’ that are supposedly unexplainable by doctors.

The majority of Americans are still falling for the age-old, lying mantra about vaccines that they are “safe and effective,” when they are actually very dangerous and ineffective.

Supply chain issues are all by design, thanks to COVID-19 lockdowns, factory shutdowns, fires, explosions, and employee firings over non-compliance with illegal vaccine mandates. This is driving the cost of everything through the roof, and most families can barely afford their energy bills, mortgage, rent, food, medicine, fuel, and other basic necessities and supplies.

It’s clear now: the Left has embarked upon a concerted effort to rewrite American history and make Americans ashamed of our heritage at the very sites where it should be most celebrated. Last Sunday I reported that Thomas Jefferson’s home has been taken over by Leftist America-haters, and they didn’t stop there: now the same woke revisionists have gotten their clutches on the home of James Madison, and it’s easy to see why they would want to target the fourth president. He is, after all, known as the Father of the Constitution.

Madison’s home has the feel of having been taken over by an invading army, and in a certain sense, it has been. The New York Post reported Saturday that at Montpelier, Madison’s Virginia plantation, “not a single display focuses on the life and accomplishments of America’s foremost political philosopher, who created our three-branch federal system of government, wrote the Bill of Rights and the Federalist Papers, and served two terms as president. Instead, blindsided tourists are hammered by high-tech exhibits about Madison’s slaves and current racial conflicts, thanks to a $10 million grant from left-leaning philanthropist David M. Rubenstein.”

Rubenstein is no ordinary philanthropist. The Post has noted that he is behind the woke-ification of Jefferson’s Monticello also, forking over $20 million for that. Oh, and here’s a shocker: Rubenstein is “on the boards of the globalist World Economic Forum, China’s Tsinghua University, and the Council on Foreign Relations, among others.” Who could have guessed?

And so now the hapless visitors to Montpelier plunk down $35 for the privilege of seeing only three of the 22 rooms in Madison’s mansion. The tour guides have much more important things on their mind at James Madison’s house than anything so bourgeois and trivial as showing you James Madison’s house. According to one “10-minute multi-screen video,” the “Hurricane Katrina flooding, the Ferguson riots, incarceration, and more all trace back to slavery.” On the grounds, “dozens of interactive stations seek to draw a direct line between slavery, the Constitution, and the problems of African Americans today.”

In one exhibit, visitors learn that every last one of the nation’s first eighteen presidents, including John Adams, who fiercely opposed slavery, and Abraham Lincoln, who ended it altogether, actually “benefited from slavery in some way” and are thus to be condemned. In the gift shop’s children’s section, you’ll find American classics on the order of Ibram X. Kendi’s Antiracist Baby and Chelsea Clinton’s She Persisted.

Meanwhile, the only material you’ll find about the Constitution at the home of the Father of the Constitution “appears in a display that pushes the claim, championed by the controversial 1619 Project, that racism was the driving force behind the entire American political system.”

Montpelier, says a tour guide, “made Madison the philosopher, farmer, statesman, and enslaver that he was.” It’s surprising that they put “enslaver” fourth instead of first, as that’s the primary lesson one takes from today’s Montpelier tour. One visitor noted bitterly that even the American flag doesn’t fly at Montpelier: “On the Fourth of July, we drove four hours to visit the home of the ‘Father of the Constitution.’ You could not find a flag with a search warrant. Very odd. Rather we were treated to a one-hour Critical Race Theory experience disguised as a tour. As one tour member said ‘I’m surprised Madison had time to write the Constitution as he was abusing his “enslaved Americans” full-time.’ Pathetic and insulting experience.”

Another visitor called the tour “historically inaccurate and highly biased,” and added, “But the worst part were the gross historical inaccuracies and constant bias exhibited by the tour guide. This is a historic house owned by James Madison, who probably did more to bring the US Constitution to life than any other person. And given the times and his economic status he owned slaves. Both are worthy of discussion, but not at all the balance we got on this tour. Constant discussion of slaves, including a genetically disproven story that one of them had a child by him.”

“I was kind of thinking we’d be hearing more about the Constitution,” said another tourist. “But everything here is really about slavery.”

Board member Mary Alexander said that what made Madison distinctive and great was being ignored: “There were hundreds of thousands of slave owners. But not hundreds of thousands who wrote the Constitution.”

But sanity and patriotism aren’t likely to return to Montpelier anytime soon. Alexander said that new board members at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which owns Montpelier, want to turn it into “a black history and black rights organization that could care less about James Madison and his legacy.” 

Don’t expect help from Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin; the Post reports that he “refused to comment on Rubenstein's donation — although the two were close allies at the Carlyle Group investment firm, where both made their fortunes.”

So what can be done, when those who would have us hate Madison, and America, have all the money and all the power? What is to become of a nation where, whenever one visits the home of one of its founding figures, one hears about what evil oppressors they were? Nothing good.
