Biden Commits to Codifying Roe Into Law on 48th Year Since Supreme Court Abortion Decision

WASHINGTON — Referring to abortion as “reproductive health care,” President Joe Biden reiterated his commitment to codifying Roe v. Wade into law on Friday, the 48th year since the U.S. Supreme Court issued the decision that resulted in more than 60 million deaths of unborn children — and counting.

“In the past four years, reproductive health, including the right to choose, has been under relentless and extreme attack,” he said in a statement released by the White House. “We are deeply committed to making sure everyone has access to care — including reproductive health care — regardless of income, race, zip code, health insurance status, or immigration status.”

“The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to codifying Roe v. Wade and appointing judges that respect foundational precedents like Roe,” he advised. “We are also committed to ensuring that we work to eliminate maternal and infant health disparities, increase access to contraception, and support families economically so that all parents can raise their families with dignity. This commitment extends to our critical work on health outcomes around the world.”

Vice President Kamala Harris also shared the statement on social media. Read it in full here.

As previously reported, prior to the election, Biden made clear on his campaign website that he planned to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law.

The page, called the “Biden Agenda for Women,” which is still available for viewing, explains, “Biden will work to codify Roe v. Wade, and his Justice Department will do everything in its power to stop the rash of state laws that so blatantly violate Roe v. Wade.”

He also outlined that he wishes to reinstate federal Title X and Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood, and to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funds from being used for abortion (with exceptions).

In October, during a town hall event hosted by NBC News, Biden similarly outlined that he would urge Congress to pass a bill making Roe the law of the land when asked by a woman — who spoke of taking birth control in college — what his plans are to protect “women’s reproductive rights” now that Amy Coney Barrett is seated on the U.S. Supreme Court.

“[W]e don’t know exactly what she will do, although the expectation is that she very well may overrule Roe,” he replied. “And the only responsible response to that would be to pass legislation to make Roe the law of the land. That’s what I would do.”

He or his campaign then shared the town hall segment on Twitter, writing, “Roe v. Wade must remain the law of the land.”

Biden, a Roman Catholic, outlined years ago that while he personally believes that life begins at conception, he doesn’t want to “impose” his view on others.

“Life begins at conception in the Church’s judgment. I accept it in my personal life,” he said in 2012. “I refuse to impose it on equally devout Christians and Muslims and Jews, and I just refuse to impose that on others …”

“I do not believe that we have a right to tell other people that — women — they can’t control their body. It’s a decision between them and their doctor. In my view and the Supreme Court, I’m not going to interfere with that,” Biden stated.

However, Scripture states in Romans 13 that civil leaders are to be the “minister of God for good,” being representatives of God’s will on Earth in the application of the law.

“For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid, for he beareth not the sword in vain. For he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil,” Romans 13:4 states.

Proverbs 24:11-12 outlines, “If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain, if thou sayest, ‘Behold, we knew it not,’ doth not He that pondereth the heart consider it? And He that keepeth thy soul, doth not He know it? And shall not He render to every man according to his works?”

2 Chronicles 19:6 similarly teaches that judges are to represent the will of God, stating, “And said to the judges, ‘Take heed what ye do, for ye judge not for man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgment. Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God …'”

‘In the Strong Name of Our Collective Faith’? Closing of Inauguration Benediction, LACKING IN JESUS’ NAME, Refuted by Pastor

Matthew 24:10 - And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Matthew 24:12 - And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

2 Timothy 3:1-5, “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these,”

2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.”

John 14:13-14 and John 16:23-24 are some of the most powerful verses in all of scripture related to prayer. In fact, when most of us pray we conclude with the phrase, "in Jesus' name."

But what does it mean to pray in the name of Jesus? When we pray in Jesus' name

1. We are admitting the bankruptcy of our own name.

When I pray in Jesus' name I come boldly before God because of the power of his name. It would be like a bride coming from abject poverty to marry a wealthy husband. At that point the woman takes the name of her husband and all that entails. She no longer acts in her name, but in his.

2. We identify with the person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus has literally given us his name. When I use that name, I am confessing that he is mine and that I am his. It is like going to the bank of heaven, knowing I have nothing deposited. If I go in my name I will get absolutely nothing. But Jesus Christ has unlimited funds in heaven's bank, and he has granted me the privilege of going to the bank with his name on my checks.

3. We pray in his authority.

We are like the child who picked up a policeman's hat, wandered out onto a busy intersection and began to direct traffic. The people in the cars followed the child's direction because they respected his position of authority. To pray in his name is to ask by his authority; and to ask by his authority is to ask in accordance to his will as revealed in his word.

4. We submit to his will.

Jesus' authority rested with his submission to the Father, so our authority rests with our submission to him. To ask in his name is to ask according to his nature, and his nature is one of submission. This, by the way, is why prayers that ask for things contrary to the Word of God will never be answered.

5. We are representing him and his interests here on earth.

It is much the same as the legal arrangement known as the power of attorney. In such matters one person may represent another in his absence. They act in their behalf. Jesus has given every believer unlimited and general power of attorney in all matters and with the right to use his name in every situation.

6. We pray expectantly.

When we pray in Jesus' name, we may expect the answer in accord with the value of his name. So we can pray with great and excited expectation.

WASHINGTON — “In the strong name of our collective faith, amen” was how Silvester Beaman of the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Delaware ended his benediction on Wednesday during the Biden-Harris inauguration. His avoidance of using the name of Jesus in the prayer was noted by at least one pastor, who refuted Beaman’s choice of words online.

“It must be said: there is no such name,” wrote Mike Riccardi, the pastor of Local Outreach Ministries at John MacArthur’s Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California.

“And even if there were, that name would not be the only name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12),” he noted. “It would not be the name above every name — the name to which every knee will bow and every tongue will swear allegiance (Phil 2:9-11). It would not be the name of Christ, in whom alone are the promises of God yes and amen (2 Cor 1:20).”

Beaman, a longtime friend of the Biden family who participated in the funeral for Beau Biden in 2015, had been asked by Joe Biden to close out the inauguration ceremony with prayer.

“Joe Biden is a man whose life experiences have taught him to seek the face of God,” Beaman told NBC News. “He’s had some dark times in his life. And he’s someone who is naturally a person of faith. He prays and listens to God.”

“We need a president who is after the heart of God,” he continued. “In these terrible times, if anybody can bring healing and reconciliation to a divided country, if we give him room to work, Joe Biden can be that person.”

On Wednesday, Beaman asked for God’s favor on Biden and Harris, controversial figures who were opposed by Christians in the election primarily because of their support for homosexuality, transgenderism and abortion “rights.”

“God, we gather under the beauty of your holiness and the holiness of your beauty. We seek Your face, Your smile, Your warm embrace,” he said. “We petition you once more in this celebration. We pray for divine favor upon our president, Joseph R. Biden, and our first lady, Dr. Jill Biden, and their family.”

“We further ask that you would extend the same favor upon our vice president, Kamala D. Harris, and our second gentleman, Doug Emhoff, and their family,” Beaman continued. “More than ever they and our nation need You.”

In keeping with the theme of unity, he spoke of realizing the common humanity, which compels one to have compassion for the sick, poor, elderly and oppressed. In brevity, Beaman also mentioned confessing sin and seeking forgiveness.

“In you, O God, we discover our humanity. And in our humanity, we discover our commonness, beyond the difference of color, creed, origin, political party, ideology, geography and personal preferences,” Beaman stated, remarking that men should “make friends of our enemies.”

He also touched on the nation’s stain of slavery, noting that slaves had been used to build the U.S. Capitol building.

“Let us all acknowledge from the indigenous Native American to those who recently received their citizenship, from the African American to those whose foreparents came from Europe and every corner of the globe, from the wealthy to those struggling to make it, for every human being — regardless of their choices, that this is our country,” he proclaimed.

“As such, teach us, O God, to live in it, love in it, be healed in it, and be reconciled to one another in it, lest we miss kingdom’s goal.”

Beaman then ended the prayer with, “To Your glory, majesty, dominion and power forever. Hallelujah. Glory, hallelujah,” the latter of which when literally translated means, “Praise Yahweh.”

But then he said, most likely to again incorporate the theme of unity, “In the strong name of our collective faith, amen.”

Riccardi shared his thoughts about the prayer on social media Wednesday evening.

“We do not petition the Father in the name of our faith. Our faith is worthless apart from the object in which it trusts,” Riccardi wrote. “To come before God in the name of our faith is to come before God in our own name, which is blasphemous, idolatrous, and hopeless for those who do not possess the infinite righteousness required for fellowship with God.”

He said that God accepts nothing less than coming to Him in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ.

“Instead, those who would hope to receive anything from the Father must come to Him in the name of Christ His Son, for all the promises of God are yes in Him alone,” Riccardi outlined. “And coming before God in the name of Christ — who has accomplished the infinite righteousness required for fellowship with God — in union with Him we are heard for Christ’s sake.”

“Our prayers before the Father — the holiest of which are laced with enough sin to damn the entire human race for eternity — are thus sanctified in the sweet name of God’s dear Son, and received as a sweet-smelling aroma of the sacrifice of His own precious blood,” he said.

“Solus Christus.”

Read Riccardi’s post in full here.

1 Timothy 2:5 states, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 96:5 also teaches, “For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.”

The late Anglican preacher J.C. Ryle also once said, “Live a courageous life. Confess Christ before men. Whatever station you occupy, in that station confess Christ. Why should you be ashamed of Him? He was not ashamed of you on the cross.”

“He is ready to confess you now before His Father in Heaven. Why should you be ashamed of Him? Be bold. Be very bold. The good soldier is not ashamed of his uniform. The true believer ought never be ashamed of Christ.”

At the close of his prayer at the inauguration, Dr. Silvester Beaman concluded, “To your glory, majesty, dominion and power forever. Hallelujah. Glory, Hallelujah. In the strong name of our collective faith, amen.”

It must be said: there is no such name.

And even if there were, that name would not be the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It would not be the name above every name—the name to which every knee will bow and every tongue will swear allegiance (Phil 2:9-11). It would not be the name of Christ, in whom alone are the promises of God yes and amen (2 Cor 1:20).

We do not petition the Father in the name of our faith. Our faith is worthless apart from the object in which it trusts. If we came before the throne of God solely in the name our faith, we would be cast into hell, for our faith has nothing in it that is virtuous or meritorious before God.

To come before God in the name of our faith is to come before God in our own name, which is blasphemous, idolatrous, and hopeless for those who do not possess the infinite righteousness required for fellowship with God.

Instead, those who would hope to receive anything from the Father must come to Him in the name of Christ His Son, for all the promises of God are yes in Him alone. And coming before God in the name of Christ—who has accomplished the infinite righteousness required for fellowship with God—in union with Him we are heard for Christ’s sake. Our prayers before the Father—the holiest of which are laced with enough sin to damn the entire human race for eternity—are thus sanctified in the sweet name of God’s dear Son, and received as a sweet smelling aroma of the sacrifice of His own precious blood.

Solus Christus.

Little children, guard yourselves from idols (1 John 5:20).

Pro-Life Group That Recorded Planned Parenthood Undercover Ordered to Pay $13 Million in Legal Fees

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

SAN FRANCISCO — In addition to the $2 million in damages awarded to Planned Parenthood by a jury last year, a federal judge has ruled that the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), led by David Daleiden, must pay more than $13 million in attorneys fees to the abortion and contraception giant.

Planned Parenthood had originally requested over $14 million in attorneys fees for work done by 12 of the more than 130 lawyers who assisted with their legal action against Daleiden and colleague Sandra Merritt.

“Viewing the ample evidence plaintiffs submit regarding the time they spent on the categories of tasks in each phase of this highly contested litigation, and relying on my own knowledge and understanding of the unusually significant time required to develop and try this case, I have a sufficient basis to conclude that the hours plaintiffs seek are reasonable,” wrote U.S. District Judge William Orrick III.

He reduced the amount requested by $1 million, deducting payment requested for in-house counsel, and also declined to grant Planned Parenthood’s request for $37,500 in reimbursement for security costs for witnesses who spoke at trial.

Read Orrick’s Dec. 22 order in full here.

As previously reported, Daleiden and Merritt attended abortion industry conferences from 2013 to 2015 under the names Robert Sarkis and Susan Tennenbaum and with the impression that they were representatives of a company they called BioMax Procurement Services.

They recorded their conversations as they sought to learn about Planned Parenthood’s abortion practices and harvesting partnerships.

CMP then publicly released video footage of the undercover investigation, showing various Planned Parenthood leaders and representatives of biomedical companies callously discussing extracting unborn children from the womb so that their body parts can be collected and sold for research.

“We’ve been using them for over 10 years, really a long time, [and we] just kind of renegotiated the contract,” Katherine Sheehan, the medical director for Planned Parenthood Pacific Southwest, said of Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) in one video. “They’re doing the big collections for government-level collections and things like that.”

“I literally have had women come in and they’ll go to the OR and they’re back out in three minutes, and I’m going, ‘What’s going on?’” Parrin Larton of ABR also explained. “Oh yeah, the fetus was already in the [birthing] canal. Whenever we put her in the stirrups, it just fell out.”

“But most of the time, it is not intact,” she added. “The abdomen is always ripped open.. … Everything will just get ripped up, you know. Whenever we have a smooth portion of liver, we think that’s good, because most of the time, just the instruments they go in to pull and it’s just whatever presents first.”

The Senate Judiciary Committee released a report in light of the videos outlining its finding that ABR, StemExpress and Novogenics Laboratories purchased the bodily organs of aborted babies from California Planned Parenthood locations, and then resold them at substantially higher prices.

“[I]n June of 2014, an ABR technician obtained a 20-week-old fetus at a Planned Parenthood clinic, for which it paid $60,” the committee outlined. “From that one fetus, ABR sold its brain to one customer for $325, both of its eyes for $325 each ($650 total) to a second customer, a portion of its liver for $325 to a third customer, its thymus for $325 and another portion of its liver for $325 to a fourth customer, and its lung for $325 to a fifth customer.”

But Planned Parenthood accused Daleiden of initiating a smear campaign to try to harm its organization and soon sued CMP over the matter, alleging fraud, trespass, breach of conduct, and eavesdropping as part of a conspiracy under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

Both Daleiden and Merritt were also leveled with numerous criminal charges, which California Attorney General Xavier Becerra filed against them. The charges could land them both in prison for a decade, if prosecutors are successful.

In November 2019, a jury awarded Planned Parenthood over $2 million after determining that Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress caused “substantial harm” to the organization. Orrick, who presided over the case, reportedly instructed the jury to find Daleiden guilty of trespass.

He also told jurors that they could not take into account any information that Daleiden discovered during his investigation but only what he knew before launching the undercover project.

“The First Amendment is not a defense to the claims in this case for the jury to consider,” Orrick additionally wrote prior to the trial, according to Courthouse News. “Defendants’ argument that they were citizen journalists was admissible as context for the defendants’ case, not as a legal defense.”

Jurors consequently concluded that Daleiden’s actions constituted the malice and fraud elements required in order to award Planned Parenthood punitive damages, settling on a payment of $870K. Another $470K in compensatory damages was granted for “security upgrades” and screening, and CMP estimates the total damages, when RICO is factored, to be nearly $2.3 million.

Daleiden’s attorneys have appealed that decision.

Courthouse News reports that the attorneys believe that the ruling will be overturned and that CMP will not have to pay any fees to Planned Parenthood.

“We think there’s no basis for Planned Parenthood to be awarded any fees,” attorney Paul Jonna of the firm LiMandri & Jonna LLP told the outlet. “We think there are a number of very serious issues on appeal that will result in reversal, and that there will be ultimately no fees paid to Planned Parenthood.”

This past September, Daleiden sued Planned Parenthood for defamation as it claimed that the video footage he released exposing the organizations’ practices were a “fake smear campaign.”

Mass. Lawmakers Override Veto of Abortion Bill, Allow 16-Year-Olds to Kill Unborn Without Parental Consent

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

BOSTON — Lawmakers in Massachusetts have voted to override Gov. Charlie Baker’s veto of a bill that allows 16 and 17-year-olds to obtain an abortion without their parents’ consent or knowledge. The legislation, known as the ROE Act, also essentially allows abortion up to birth for “fatal fetal anomalies.”

The House of Representatives obtained the two-thirds majority (107-46) needed to override the veto on Monday, followed by a 32-8 vote from the Senate on Tuesday.

“Today, the Commonwealth reestablished itself as a national leader in health care by removing political barriers to abortion and becoming the first state to legislatively ease burdensome restrictions on young people’s access to care,” the ROE Act Coalition remarked in a statement, according to local television station WCVB.

“The legislature’s leadership means no Bay State family who receives a devastating diagnosis later in pregnancy will ever be forced to fly across the country to access compassionate care and no 16- or 17-year-old will ever be forced to navigate the court system to access the health care they need.”

As previously reported, last month, lawmakers in Massachusetts passed an amendment attached to a budget bill that would essentially allow abortion up to birth for “fatal fetal anomalies” and lower the age of parental consent from under 18 to under 16.

According to text on the legislature website, the amendment permits abortion after 24 weeks when “in the best medical judgment of the physician, an abortion is warranted because of a lethal fetal anomaly that is incompatible with sustained life outside the uterus.”

It permits nurse practitioners, physicians assistants and midwives to perform abortions and states that abortive mothers under 16 must obtain consent from one parent (or can go to the courts if that is not possible), and “in deciding whether to grant such consent, a patient’s parent shall consider only the patient’s best interests.” Those 16 and up will not be required to obtain parental permission.

The amendment passed in the Massachusetts House of Representatives on Nov. 12 by a vote of 108-49, followed by a 33-7 vote in the Senate on Nov. 18.

Gov. Charlie Baker, a Republican who supports the so-called “right to abortion,” said that he was uncomfortable with the provisions that allowed 16-year-olds to obtain an abortion without parental consent and allowed abortion after 24 weeks in some cases. He presented his own version of the legislation that would eliminate those sections.

Both houses of the legislature rejected Baker’s changes and voted to retain the original language.

“Getting ready to vote down @MassGovernor amendment that will deny 16-year-olds the right to independently choose an #abortion,” tweeted lawmaker Marjorie Decker, D-Cambridge. “Let’s be clear; there is no age on prenatal care for young women girls needing #parentalconsent.”

Baker then vetoed the bill as written, and the legislature consequently sought to override his veto and force the matter into law.

“Pregnant people who once faced near-insurmountable barriers accessing abortion care can now seize the right to control their own bodies,” Senate President Emerita Harriette Chandler remarked on Twitter on Tuesday. “I am so proud of the policies included in the #ROEAct and of the (Massachusetts Senate) for our commitment to reproductive freedom.”

The Massachusetts Family Institute, led by president Andrew Beckwith, lamented the passage of the bill, reminding followers that the matter is not simply political; it is spiritual at its root.

“I have to remind myself that ‘we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,'” he wrote. “For, surely, the celebrated, legally sanctioned murder of our children is a great wickedness promoted, ultimately, by ‘the rulers of the darkness of this world.'”

As previously reported, in early America, Christians were staunchly against abortion for any reason, seeing the shedding of innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16-17) and the discontinuance of a life created and given by God as murder.

In his 1869 sermon entitled “Ante-Natal Infanticide,” E. Frank Howe, the pastor of the Congregational Church of Terre Haute, Indiana, said, “[I]t makes no matter that the victim cannot stretch out its hands in defense. … It matters not that it … can utter no cry of pain or reproach. The sacred gift of human life is taken — is deliberately taken, and this constitutes the crime, and that crime is murder.”

He lamented that “men and women place their own ease and pleasure above God’s law” and that “public opinion is so corrupted there is no voice of reproach,” forthrightly declaring, “Put what face upon it the community will disguise it under whatever name you please, you can make no more or less of it than simple murder.”

In 1896, Dr. William McCollom lamented that even in his day, mothers would “unblushingly apply to the physician and to the druggist for medicine to abort [their] pregnancy.”

“Great ignorance of the criminality of the practice is manifested by educated women, but it is not ignorance alone but a downright lack of moral sense as well, which greatly needs educating,” he said, urging doctors to speak out.

Jon Tyson/Unsplash

McCollom expressed concern that pastors were seemingly not lifting their voice on the issue of abortion as he saw that the practice was both prevalent among the unsaved and “on the increase among professed Christian women.”

“Let us do our duty, if our spiritual advisors neglect to do this, in denouncing this common crime and great sin,” he wrote in addressing his fellow physicians.

“The field for missionary work is a large one and should be faithfully worked, both by the conscientious physician and the Protestant Christian clergy, who perhaps fully understand the enormity of the sin if they do not know how prevalent it is,” McCollom said. “It is not a pleasant subject to discuss before a mixed audience. Young women could be reached, instructed and warned by a properly published circular or tract sent to them by Christian organizations at intervals.”

Read his words, as published by the American Medical Association Press, in full here.

Scripture, in addition to speaking on the value of the unborn, also repeatedly addresses the precursor sin of fornication, teaching in 1 Corinthians 6:13, “Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.”

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 exhorts, “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication, that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor — not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God.”

Verses 7-8 add, “For God hath not called us unto uncleanness but unto holiness. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man but God, who hath also given unto us His Holy Spirit.”

Museum of the Bible Promotes Pro-Abortion, Pro-Sodomy Pop Star, Taylor Swift

"In August 2017, Swift successfully sued David Mueller, a former morning show personality for Denver's KYGO-FM. Four years earlier, Swift had informed Mueller's bosses that he had sexually assaulted her by groping her at an event. After being fired, Mueller accused Swift of lying and sued her for damages from his loss of employment. Shortly after, Swift counter-sued for sexual assault for a dollar. The jury rejected Mueller's claims and ruled in favor of Swift. Swift thereafter cleared her social media accounts and then released "Look What You Made Me Do" as the lead single from her sixth album, Reputation.[180] The song topped the charts in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the U.S."

Politics and activism

"Swift identifies as a feminist and pro-choice. During the 2008 United States presidential election, she promoted the Every Woman Counts campaign, aimed at engaging women in the political process. She was one of many country stars to record a PSA for the Vote (For Your) Country campaign. During her acceptance speech at the Billboard Women in Music summit in 2019, she spoke out against sexism and misogyny. She was one of the founding signatories of the Time's Up movement against sexual harassment. Swift has also spoken out against LGBT discrimination. Following the 2008 murder of openly gay teenager Larry King, she recorded a GLSEN PSA aimed at combating hate crimes. The music video for Swift's anti-bullying song "Mean" deals in part with homophobia in high schools; it was nominated for an MTV VMA social activism award in 2011. After the Orlando nightclub shooting in June 2016, Swift penned a letter to honor the victims. She encouraged support for the Equality Act in a letter addressed to Senator Lamar Alexander and a petition on, which accumulated over 800,000 signatures and responses from the White House and various Democratic legislators. Swift called on the Trump administration to pass the Equality Act at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards and during Pride Live's 2020 Stonewall Day livestream event, where she criticized the 2020 U.S. Census for excluding transgender and non-binary people.

Swift avoided discussing politics in her early career, but she has become politically active since the 2018 United States elections. She has supported the March for Our Lives movement and gun control reform in the U.S. She endorsed candidates for public office for the first time ahead of the 2018 midterm elections, declaring her support for two Democratic candidates to represent Tennessee in the House of Representatives and the Senate. In her endorsement, Swift expressed her desire for greater LGBT rights and gender and racial equality, condemned systemic racism, and encouraged her fans to vote according to their personal values. In August 2020, Swift urged her fans to check their voter registration ahead of elections. reported that 65,000 people had registered to vote within 24 hours of Swift's post, an unprecedented surge even accounting for usual registration increases as deadlines approach. She endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 United States presidential election and was found to be one of the most influential celebrities in the polls. She lent her song "Only the Young" for use in an advertisement to increase voter turnout.

Swift is a vocal critic of white supremacysystemic racism, and police brutality in the U.S. In May 2020, she called for justice in the deaths of African-American men Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd. Swift shared resources to support the Black Lives Matter movement and an essay written by former President Barack Obama on policy change in the wake of the George Floyd protests, advocating for mail-in voting for the 2020 U.S. elections during the COVID-19 pandemic. She called for the removal of racist Confederate monuments in Tennessee and advocated for Juneteenth to become a national holiday."

The well-known Museum of the Bible, which may soon need to be renamed “Museum of Idolatry,” recently promoted one of the most notorious pro-sodomy pro-abortion pop stars in the nation, Taylor Swift. On Facebook, the Museum asks the rhetorical question, “do you think there is a Bible reference in her song, Look What You Made Me Do?

Do you know who else referenced Bible verses from time to time? Satan. And demonic is basically the category Taylor Swift falls into. It’s recommended that the Museum of the Bible spend less time hunting for Bible references in the spawn of the anti-Christ and more time promoting the Word of God and the call to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as savior who actually gave the Apostles the keys to the Kingdom.

Trump Taps Conservative Giants to Lead 1776 Commission

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

On Friday, President Donald Trump nominated 18 conservative leaders to serve on the “1776 Commission” to promote American patriotism in education, countering the Marxist critical race theory promoted in The New York Times‘ “1619 Project.” Among others, Trump named: Hillsdale College President Larry P. Arnn; Alliance Defending Freedom CEO Michael Farris; Claremont Review of Books Editor Charles R. Kesler; classicist author and professor Victor Davis Hanson; and former Vanderbilt Professor Carol Swain.

“Our mission is to defend the legacy of America’s founding, the virtue of America’s heroes, and the nobility of the American character. We must clear away the twisted web of lies in our schools and classrooms, and teach our children the magnificent truth about our country,” Trump declared when announcing the 1776 Commission in September.

The president signed the executive order creating the commission on September 17, Constitution Day. He hailed the Constitution as “the fulfillment of a thousand years of Western civilization. No political document has done more to advance the human condition or propel the engine of progress. A radical movement is attempting to demolish this treasured inheritance. We can’t let that happen.”

Trump’s list of 1776 Commission members reads like a who’s who of prominent conservative minds. Larry Arnn, the commission’s chairman, is the president of Hillsdale College, a small conservative liberal arts college in Southern Michigan that has launched a nationwide classical school movement. Hillsdale College requires all graduates to study the Constitution along with the Western Heritage and American Heritage. (This author graduated from Hillsdale in 2012.)

According to Hillsdale, Matt Spalding, the vice president for Hillsdale’s operations in D.C., will serve as the commission’s executive director.

Carol Swain, the commission’s vice-chair, is a prominent black conservative whose influential works on the true threat of identity politics have been cited by the Supreme Court. A former Vanderbilt professor, Swain has also served as an advisor to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission and as a member of the National Council on the Humanities. She has also suffered attacks from the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Victor Davis Hanson, a professor emeritus of Classics at California State University-Fresno and the author of numerous books, also made the list. Hanson serves as a senior fellow in classics and military history at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and as a visiting professor at Hillsdale College.

Charles R. Kesler, a distinguished professor of government at Claremont McKenna College and editor of the Claremont Review of Books, also merits special mention, as does Michael Farris, a founder of the Home School Legal Defense Association and Patrick Henry College. Farris currently serves as CEO and general counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom.

BAM: Trump Eviscerates the Noxious Marxism Behind the Riots and the 1619 Project

Phil Bryant, a former governor of Mississippi who left the governor’s mansion this year, also serves on the commission. Gay Hart Gaines, the first chairman of the National Review Institute, also joined the commission. The commission also includes current Trump staffers such as Brooke Rollins, acting director of the U.S. Domestic Policy Council, and John Gibbs, a HUD official.

Activists like Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and American Majority CEO Ned Ryun also joined the commission.

President Trump will likely leave office on January 20, but the members of the commission serve for two-year terms.

Trump was right to oppose the anti-American ideology behind the 1619 Project.

When vandals toppled a statue of George Washington in Portland, they spray-painted “1619” on the statue. When Claremont’s Charles Kesler wrote in The New York Post “Call them the 1619 riots,” 1619 Project Founder Nikole Hannah-Jones responded (in a since-deleted tweet) that “it would be an honor” to claim responsibility for the destructive riots. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) called for the “dismantling” of America’s “economy and political system,” in order to root out supposed racist oppression.

Portland activist Lilith Sinclair provided a chilling example of Marxist critical race theory and its ability to inspire an aimless revolution. “There’s still a lot of work to undo the harm of colonized thought that has been pushed onto Black and indigenous communities,” she said. As examples of “colonized thought,” she mentioned Christianity and the “gender binary.” She said she organizes for “the abolition of … the United States as we know it.”

The riots this past summer proved the most destructive (in terms of insurance claims) in U.S. history. While leftists repeat claims of “institutional racism,” the riots have victimized the black community. The destruction disproportionately hit black communities in Kenosha, Wisc.Minneapolis, and Chicago. The riots destroyed black livesblack livelihoods, and black monuments. At least 26 Americans have died in the riots, most of them black.

For these and other reasons, many black leaders have denounced the official Black Lives Matter movement, the founders of which have described themselves as “trained Marxists.” Over 100 black pastors recently condemned the Black Lives Matter movement and urged Nike to distance itself from it.

Trump is right to champion American patriotism in contrast to Marxist critical race theory and the 1776 Commission has its work cut out for it.

Trump Administration to Withhold Medicaid Funds From California Over Insurance Abortion Mandate

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

The Trump administration will be withholding Medicaid funds from the state of California over its refusal to remove the mandate that requires pro-life churches and Christian groups to fund abortions in their healthcare plans.

On Tuesday, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar announced the Trump administration will be withholding $200 million per quarter from California until it removes the abortion-funding requirement.

Life News reports churches in California, pro-life groups, and religious organizations have been fighting the abortion mandate since 2014, when the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) reclassified abortion as a “basic health service” under the Affordable Care Act and required all insurance plans in the state to cover elective abortions without exemptions for churches.

“Health care is designed to save lives and protect our health,” National Right to Life president Carol Tobias opined. “The state of California’s coercive policies have meant that nearly every health insurance plan, no matter if an individual works for a business, a church or religious school, is required to pay for an elective abortion.”

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and Life Legal Defense Foundation filed formal complaints with the Department of Health and Human Services against the DMHC in 2014 citing federal conscience law violations. “If the state can force a church to pay for the very thing they counsel against, in violation of their constitutionally protected religious beliefs, then no American is secure,” asserted Jeremiah Galus of ADF.

“Churches should be free to serve their communities according to their religious beliefs without unjust government edicts that force them to violate those beliefs,” he continued. “California has no right to dictate what pastors or churches believe on moral and cultural issues. Yet, with the stroke of a pen — and without consulting the public — the state-mandated that churches must pay for the taking of innocent human life.”

ADF has also filed several lawsuits against the DMHC. The ADF presented oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit last month.

“We are asking the 9th Circuit to invalidate this unconstitutional mandate because California officials are required to follow the law and legal precedent, not the dictates of groups that have an axe to grind against religious organizations that don’t share their views on abortion,” said Galus.

Through its battle against the DMHC, ADF learned the mandate was prompted by demands from Planned Parenthood to “fix” it so that the health plans of religious entities would be required to include abortion. In a series of e-mails discovered by the ADF, it was revealed that Planned Parenthood threatened to promote a legislative “solution” if the DHMC did not act otherwise, Life News reports.

Unfortunately, the Obama administration’s investigation of the mandate predictably found no violation of the law.

But the pro-life Trump administration had warned that it would be taking action if California refused to remove the mandate. “If California wants to provide abortion services, it can do so,” said Roger Severino, who directs the Office for Civil Rights in the Department of Health and Human Services. “What the state is not free to do is force people to pay for other people’s abortions.”

Severino said in January, “Just as a government shouldn’t force a kosher deli to serve ham, you shouldn’t require nuns to pay for abortion, and even more so because it involves the taking of a human life.”

The Trump administration followed through with its threat on Tuesday. “We have informed California that this policy clearly violates federal conscience laws, but the state refuses to fix the issue and comply,” Azar said, according to the Epoch Times. “Accordingly, we plan to withhold $200 million in federal Medicaid funds from the state in the first quarter of 2021, and unless California amends its policies, we will seek to withhold an additional $200 million every quarter until it complies.”

Azar also announced the Department of Justice will be filing its own separate pro-life conscience lawsuit.

Not surprisingly, California Governor Gavin Newsom took to Twitter to rally opponents by citing COVID and appealing to the Left’s hatred of all things deemed “patriarchal,” however absurd. “Nothing like the ‘pro-life’ party eliminating healthcare during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC,” the governor wrote. “California will survive without this $$ for now — but their frail, pathetic patriarchal system they are so desperate to protect won’t.”

But President Trump’s actions garnered support from the pro-life community. Tobias said, “We thank the Trump administration and the Department of Health and Human Services for protecting the rights of Californians who do not want to pay for or participate in healthcare plans that pay for abortions.”

The Christian Medical Association told Life News it was grateful for the actions taken by the administration. “This radical trampling of conscience is contrary to our most fundamental, Constitutional freedoms of thought, speech, and exercise of faith,” CMA Director of Federal Government Relations Jonathan Imbody said.

Biden Chooses Anti-Gun, PRO-ABORTION CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL Becerra to Head Health & Human Services

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

U.S.A. –-( Democrat Joe Biden sent another strong signal about the direction on guns his administration will take by announcing his pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services is Xavier Becerra, the anti-gun California attorney general who replaced another gun prohibitionist, Kamala Harris, when she was elected to the U.S. Senate.

Becerra is the defendant in several ongoing gun rights lawsuits filed by the Second Amendment Foundation, Firearms Policy Coalition, and others. He’s been sued at least five times by SAF.

If he is confirmed as HHS Secretary next year, he will be in a position to put the full force of the federal government behind the notion that guns are a health risk.

Various anti-Second Amendment groups have been crusading for years to declare “gun violence” a public health crisis. None of these groups ever seem to create a ripple in the news when there is a fatal stabbing or someone is bludgeoned to death. Becerra would likely get plenty of support from such organizations.

But he may have trouble being confirmed depending upon the outcome of the double Senate election in Georgia on January 5th. If Republican incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue are re-elected, it gives the GOP a thin majority. Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Alabama already said he will vote against confirming Becerra.

Fox News is reporting “Republicans slammed President-elect Joe Biden after he announced his choice of California Attorney General Xavier Becerra for secretary of Health and Human Services on Monday, and they criticized Becerra's record on abortion and other issues.”

Conservative groups such as the Alliance Defending Freedom and the Susan B. Anthony List has labeled Becerra an “extremist,” Fox added. Religious leaders are also slamming the choice, again on the abortion issue.

In September, Becerra’s office made a big splash with the announcement that he was leading a “coalition” including the anti-gun Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence “in filing a lawsuit against the Trump Administration demanding the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) correct its interpretation of what qualifies as a firearm.”

The lawsuit is aimed at defining so-called “80 percent” frames as firearms.

It’s no small wonder why Giffords Executive Director Peter Ambler issued a ringing endorsement of Becerra when news broke Monday about Biden’s pick.

“After four years of Donald Trump, Americans desperately need strong leadership from the top to confront public health crises like the coronavirus pandemic and gun violence,” Ambler said in a prepared statement. “Xavier Becerra is a superb choice to take charge of Health & Human Services, which will have one of the most critical missions in the Biden-Harris Administration. Becerra has an impressive record of taking action to protect and improve public health, he’s been a partner in the fight against gun violence, never backing down from special interests like the gun lobby in his mission to save lives. We look forward to working with him and the rest of the cabinet to address gun violence.”

No doubt most of the resistance to Becerra will relate to the abortion issue, but Becerra would remain no friend to American gun owners as head of HHS.

Last year, when a killer opened fire at the annual Garlic Festival in Gilroy with a semi-auto rifle he brought from neighboring Nevada, Becerra lamented “We cannot enforce California laws in Nevada.”

At the time, KGO reported that despite California’s restrictive gun control laws prohibiting the sale or import of so-called “assault rifles” into the state, “the suspected gunman brought one into the state.”

Gun rights activists shook their heads because the media, and Becerra, missed the point entirely. Determined killers will ignore gun control laws and find ways to commit their heinous acts. Transporting the gun into California simply underscored the problem with such laws: They don’t really prevent crimes.

While he was in the state assembly representing California’s Legislative District 31, Democrat Becerra voted against legislation prohibiting junk lawsuits against gun manufacturers for crimes committed by third parties misusing their firearms. He voted against reducing the waiting period for firearms purchases from three days to one day. He was rated “F” by the National Rifle Association.

Biden is in the midst of picking people to fill his cabinet positions as the possibility of any reversal of the election grows increasingly remote. Over the weekend, President Trump traveled to Georgia in an effort to get out the vote for Loeffler and Perdue, while insisting he won the state and contending he won elsewhere.

Biden Taps Radical Planned Parenthood Lackey Xavier Becerra to Head HHS

"Joe Biden will nominate California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) as secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the department notorious for railroading religious freedom via the Obamacare contraception mandate. Becerra has attacked religious freedom and free speech with zeal at the beck and call of radical-Left activists in Planned Parenthood and other groups."

"Becerra has abused his power as attorney general in pursuit of silencing pro-life activists and organizations."

Becerra also vigorously defended a California law that mandated pregnancy resource centers (PRCs), most of which are pro-life, must advertise abortion on placards.

Biden’s Gun Control Signal in Becerra Nomination

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:
Biden's nomination of CA AG Becerra is a bad omen for American's gun rights.

U.S.A. -( President-elect Joe Biden is taking an early turn to the far left with his nomination of California Attorney General Xavier Becerra to take over the Department of Health and Human Services.

That nomination would put a firebrand gun control collaborator at the helm of the nation’s leading health organization delivering services and support of scientific advances in medicine, public health, and social services. This is a harbinger that the federal office that employs 80,000 and has a $1.3 trillion budget will be used to push an antigun ideology over science. Attorney General Becerra’s nomination means that the next four years will be an administration pushing firearm ownership as a public health crisis and using the cover of a national health emergency to trample on Constitutional rights.

Attorney General Becerra’s public career started in California, working as a deputy attorney general for California’s Department of Justice before he was elected to the State Assembly, then to the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993-2017. He left Congress when he was chosen by California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom to succeed U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris as California’s Attorney General.

California Gun Control Parade

When it comes to gun control, California’s jockeying to lead the parade with Attorney General Becerra as the drum major waving the giant stick. He’s embroiled in two lawsuits challenging California gun control laws that could have national impacts. The first is Duncan v Becerra, a case challenging California’s ban on standard capacity magazines, or what the state labels “large-capacity magazines” (LCMs). In 2000, the state banned the sale of new magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds, but a 2016 voter initiative called Proposition 63 made possessing those magazines purchased before the ban illegal. U.S. District Court Judge Roger Benitez blistered the law in his ruling that it’s unconstitutional. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit upheld Judge Benitez’s ruling earlier this year.

Another high-profile challenge to California’s onerous gun control laws is Miller v Becerra, a case that challenges the state’s nearly 20-year ban on modern sporting rifles, or what they knowingly mislabel “assault rifles.” That case, too, was brought before Judge Benitez, who ruled the law was unconstitutional. Attorney General Becerra also appealed the case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where it was denied a motion to dismiss the case.

That’s Not All

Attorney General Becerra’s fights to place stumbling blocks in the way of lawful firearm ownership don’t just involve modern sporting rifles and their magazines. He’s also defending a law that requires universal background checks for ammunition purchases. California passed a law requiring background checks for ammunition sales, which was challenged by U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Kim Rhode. The case, Rhode v Becerra, challenges the burdensome regulation that was fraught with inaccuracies and outages. Judge Benitez thrashed that law and issued a preliminary injunction to stop the state from enforcing the law. Attorney General Becerra again appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and won a stay against the preliminary injunction while the case awaits hearing there.

Attorney General Becerra also led the defense of California’s slow-motion handgun ban. In Pena v Horan, a challenge to California’s Unsafe Handgun Act that bans handguns in common use for lawful purposes. That case was appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, but denied review last summer, along with nine other firearm-related cases. He also defended the law in NSSF v State of California, filed in 2014 that went to the California Supreme Court, the state’s mandate to incorporate microstamping technology for firearms that doesn’t exist. In 2007, California gun control advocates knew they couldn’t outright ban handguns, so they put a condition on their approved sale. They would be required to incorporate technically-unfeasible microstamping technology, that would make identifying marks on two places of each cartridge casing fired from the firearm. The state’s Department of Justice created a list of “approved” handguns that’s only shrunk. They haven’t added a new semiautomatic handgun since 2013 when then-Attorney General Kamala Harris triggered the law. A new law passed in California last session only speeds that shrinking roster. The new law calls for three handguns to be removed for every new one added.

Wrong Prescription

The problem with Attorney General Becerra leading the nation’s health agency is that any issue he finds politically unfavorable can be labeled a public health crisis and be used to justify unprecedented restrictions on Constitutionally-protected individual liberties. Gun control advocates have been trying to do this for years as if criminal activity could be cured with a pill.  Thinking this wouldn’t happen would be foolish. The evidence abounds that this not only could happen, it has and is happening. The COVID pandemic saw governors order firearm retailers and ranges to close, reversing course only after threats of lawsuits, or their orders were tossed out by judges. Democratic Govs. Gavin Newsom and Andrew Cuomo trampled on religious liberties by attempting to block people from attending services at churches and synagogues. They didn’t stop until the courts told them, and even then, they’re grousing that they’re the authority.

They’re neglecting that they are accountable to the people. That’s us. Don’t expect Attorney General Becerra to be any different at the Department of Health and Human Services. He’ll make you swallow the gun control pill and it will come in one color.  Blue.

Trump Issues Proclamation Encouraging ‘Adoption as an Alternative to Abortion’

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

WASHINGTON — President Trump issued a proclamation on Friday in recognition of National Adoption Month, citing the value of human life and encouraging “adoption as an alternative to abortion.” Trump identifies as pro-life but also supports the exceptions of rape, incest and the life of the mother.

“Adoption also offers a loving option for women who experience unexpected pregnancies or are unable to provide for their children,” the proclamation reads in part. “Every year, countless families -– including many who cannot have children of their own –- cherish the priceless gift of an adopted child.”

“My administration believes that every human life has inherent value, and encourages adoption as an alternative to abortion,” it states. “All children, born and unborn, deserve a chance to have a better, more prosperous future. I commend the selfless men and women who preserve the majesty of God’s creation by providing children with a chance at a better life.”

The proclamation notes that more than 153K children placed in the foster care system in 2019 due to neglect, with another 86K removed due to their parents’ drug abuse.

It outlines that the Trump administration desires to address the root cause of child abuse and to tackle the opioid crisis, so that more children can stay with their families. It also cheers that the number of children being placed in foster care is declining while last year marked the highest number of adoptions on record.

Adoption from foster care is essentially free, as opposed to private or overseas adoptions.

“This month, we celebrate the blessings of adoption and renew our resolve to promote a culture of respect for every human life,” the proclamation declares. “Countless Americans dedicate their time, energy, and resources to the adoption process, and we honor their selfless contributions as community members, faith leaders, caregivers, role models, and families.”

“Our nation is strengthened by the sacred institution of the family, and devoted parents who love and protect their adopted children. As a nation, let us commit to ensuring a brighter future for all of our nation’s children.”

Read the proclamation in full here.

As previously reported, Trump has stated publicly that he identifies as pro-life — but with exceptions. He became the first president in American history to speak at the annual March for Life, stating, “Unborn children have never had a stronger defender in the White House.”

“As most people know, and for those who would like to know, I am strongly pro-life, with the three exceptions — rape, incest and protecting the life of the mother — the same position taken by Ronald Reagan,” Trump tweeted in May 2019.

“We have come very far in the last two years with 105 wonderful new federal judges (many more to come), two great new Supreme Court justices, the Mexico City Policy, and a whole new & positive attitude about the right to life,” he wrote. “The radical Left, with late term abortion (and worse), is imploding on this issue.”

“We must stick together and win for life in 2020. If we are foolish and do not stay united as one, all of our hard fought gains for life can, and will, rapidly disappear!”

In 2016, while still a presidential candidate, Trump wrote in an op-ed published by the Washington Examiner, “Let me be clear — I am pro-life. I support that position with exceptions allowed for rape, incest or the life of the mother being at risk.”

He also told NBC’s “Today” show that same year that he would like to see the exceptions in the Republican platform as there currently are none.

“The Republican platform, every four years, has a provision that states that the right of the unborn child shall not be infringed. And it makes no exceptions for rape, for incest, for the life of the mother. Would you want to change the Republican platform to include the exceptions that you have?” asked co-host Savannah Guthrie.

“Yes, I would,” Trump replied. “Yes, I would. Absolutely. For the three exceptions, I would.”

Trump’s statements allowing for exceptions are similar to those made by other recent Republican presidents, including George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

“My own position on abortion is well-known and remains unchanged. I oppose abortion in all cases except rape or incest, or where the life of the mother is at stake,” George H.W. Bush said in 1992.

”My position has always been three exceptions: rape, incest and the life of the mother,” George W. Bush likewise outlined in 2006.

However, some have expressed disappointment that America’s leaders hold to exceptions to the right to life.

Rebecca Kiessling of Save the 1, who was conceived in rape and is now a voice against killing children for the crimes of their fathers, lamented the president’s post last year, writing on social media, “There’s nothing quite like getting singled out for death by your president.”

“[T]he pro-life movement accepts this compromise that they will endorse candidates again and again that make illogical and cruel exceptions to abortion. Namely they support those who will single out the rape conceived child or the incest conceived child and call them subhuman and undeserving of the right to live,” also wrote the World Life Organization. “It’s awful and is one of the huge reasons the pro-life movement is so weak and pathetic to have allowed abortion in the land for almost half a century.”

“[R]egardless of how the child came into existence, … the child conceived is still a child,” it stated. “As a society we must not tolerate or condone in any way murdering the child as an option. And until we make this strong stand, without exceptions, I believe nothing will significantly change and our nation will continue to have presidents who make ludicrous and immoral statements such as this.”

Vile, Blasphemous ‘Thank God for Abortion Anthem’ Blasts Church Interference, Demands Bodily ‘Sovereignty’

Thank God For Abortion Release New Eponymous Music Video - PAPER

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

A vile and blasphemous rap video recently posted online by the movements Thank God for Abortion and Shout Your Abortion shows abortion advocates dancing in a church, including a choir with “abortion” sashes around their necks, as the song blasts interference from the Church and State and demands bodily “sovereignty” and “legal, safe and free” abortion.

The “Thank God for Abortion Anthem” is led by Viva Ruiz of the Thank God for Abortion movement, who appears in the video as the “abortion pope” and wears a mitre with the word “abortion” sprawled across it in gold. She also dons a clergy stole with the phrase “Thank God for abortion” in large letters.

“God is cool with me/[Expletive] the State; they just can’t take it,” Ruiz says, while giving a middle finger to the camera. “God is cool with me/[Expletive] the Church; they only fake it.”

“God is cool with me/She says, ‘Girl, you know I love you,'” she continues, referring to the Almighty with a feminine pronoun at first. “God is cool with me/He says, ‘Girl, you know I got you.'”

The majority of the recording is about autonomy and the assertion that neither the Church or State has the right keep women from obtaining an abortion. It calls upon “fascist politicians” and “Christian fundamentalists” to “get with it,” and includes sexually suggestive bodily movements.

As previously reported, Ruiz was behind the “Thank God for Abortion” float that appeared in the 2018 New York City Pride Parade.

“Queer people, gay people, trans people, and people of faith all have abortions,” a comment from Ruiz under the video reads. “I have had two abortions, am Latinx, queer, fluid, and Christian. We know that God loves us and we are blessed.”

“Blocking access to abortion is racist, is classist, is ableist, is gender-based violence. We demand that everyone, regardless of faith, stand with us for reproductive freedom under the banner of bodily autonomy: we belong to ourselves.”

However, during the Oct. 28 broadcast of Answers News from the Kentucky-based apologetics ministry Answers in Genesis, co-host Avery Foley noted that Ruiz’ assertion that “we belong to ourselves” is “completely antithetical to the biblical view that we belong to Christ and we are accountable to God for our actions.”

She stated that she was especially disgusted by the lyric “The love of Christ compels me,” which actually comes from 2 Corinthians 5:14 and says exactly opposite of what Ruiz intended by her statement.

“It is because of Christ’s love that we live for the One who died for us. We die to ourselves because of the love of Christ,” Foley explained. “Jesus Christ emptied himself, gave up the glories of Heaven, condescended to come down to this world to live in a sin-cursed and a broken world to suffer, to be tempted in every way just as we are, to willingly go to the cross, to be mocked, to be beaten, to be scorned, to die in the place of sinful human beings in order that we might have eternal life.”

“She’s taking that and she’s saying [about] all that Christ did on the cross …. [that] the love of Christ compels me to murder my own child and to encourage others to murder their own child and to defend the choice to murder children,” Foley lamented. “She’s taking the love of Christ and completely twisting it and making it all about a selfish, self-centered choice and celebrating and worshiping that.”

The verse following — 2 Corinthians 5:15 — teaches, “He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves but unto Him which died for them and rose again.”

1 Corinthians 6:20 also states, “For ye are bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

As previously reported, statistics show that the vast majority of women obtaining abortions are unmarried, meaning that they are first engaged in the sin of fornication, which the Bible speaks much about.

1 Corinthians 6:13 outlines, “Now the body is not for fornication but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.”

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5,7-8 likewise instructs, “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication, that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God.”

“For God hath not called us unto uncleanness but unto holiness. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man but God who hath also given unto us His Holy Spirit.”

Galatians 5:23 says that one of the fruits of the Spirit is self-control, adding, “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”

David Platt Says You Should Leave His Church if You Oppose People Supporting Pro-Abortion Candidates

David Platt

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

David Platt has been on a leftist trajectory for several years. Platt, who has at many times been a staunch defender of the faith and a great expositor of the Scriptures, has sadly, as so many have, lost his focus, forgotten his first love, and embraced the gospel of social justice — described in the words of the Apostle Paul as “another gospel.”

Platt, like John Piper, has embraced a grossly unbiblical idea — that Christians have the freedom of conscience to support whatever political candidates they want. This idea embraces the notion that politics, in general, are subjective and the positions held and policies enacted by the different parties are morally neutral and not subject to the law of God.

But this ungodly postmodern idea is contradictory to the nature of God who has set in stone his law and is unchangeable and unwavering. As Christians, we do not have the freedom to “vote our conscience.” We are obligated to seek God’s view and to hold to that and vote accordingly.

Despite this biblical truth, David Platt, the popular Bible teacher who hosts the annual Secret Church simulcast conference that many Southern Baptist churches take part in, has made it clear that if you openly oppose other members in his church who support Democrats, you don’t belong at his church.

Comparing the horrific act of abortion — and the Democrat position to increase and expand it at an indefinite rate — to Donald Trump’s personal immorality, Platt equates the two as morally equivalent. Platt treats Donald Trump’s boasting and personal immorality as equally repugnant as the killing of innocent children. But what Platt, and the rest of the increasingly liberal pastors, fail to understand is that Donald Trump is not legislating his personal immorality into national policy. Unlike Donald Trump, the Democrats, whose political platform is to kill, steal, and destroy, want to push every iota of that down everyone’s throat and make it illegal to oppose them.

And this is what David Platt supports and says if you oppose, you don’t belong in his church. In a recent sermon, Platt calls on Christians to unify under a false unity, one where his church members are not of one sound mind or accord, and instead, just keep it to yourself.

Do not divide the church over political positions, convictions, or calculations that are not clear and direct in God’s word… We will not tell people to vote for this candidate or that party…I fear calling you to do something that I can not show you clearly and directly in God’s word he has called you to do…

I have full confidence calling you to oppose abortion and to defend the lives of children in the womb because God makes his work in the womb clear in Psalm 139. You cannot follow Jesus as a member of this church and advocate for abortion. (Editor’s note. This is more than we can say for JD Greear’s church, who does not abide by this maxim.)

I have full confidence to call you to promote a biblical understanding of sexuality and marriage because God makes his definitions of male and female and marriage clear in Genesis 1 and 2 and throughout the rest of the bible. You cannot follow Jesus as a member of this church and disregard God’s word in these ways.

I have full confidence in calling you to care for the oppressed, the poor, the orphan, the widow, and the sojourner, because God says these things multitudes of times to his people in his word You cannot follow Jesus as a member of this church and be calloused to the oppressed, poor, orphan, the widow, or the sojourner.

And I have full confidence calling you to never affirm or overlook sexual immorality, boastful pride, vulgarity, dishonestly, name-calling, and strife -stirring in your life or others’ lives, because God has said all over his word that all of those things are deadly.

So then how do you vote? For this candidate? For that candidate? For third candidate? For no candidate? And I don’t have a verse that answers that question for you. Different, genuine followers of Jesus will therefore come to different conclusions on the answer to that question. And assuming you are applying God’s word as prayerfully and as wisely and as faithfully as you know how to your political decision, then we will not break fellowship in Christ over that decision.

Now as soon as I saw that, I realize some people think we should break fellowship in Christ over the vote. Some people think, ‘I cannot be in the same church with someone who votes for Biden.’ Other people think, ‘I cannot be in the same church with someone who votes for Trump.’

And if you think either of these things, and I say this as thoughtfully and compassionately as I know how, Mclean Bible Church may not be the right church for you. Because we are not going to divide over the vote here. And if you think we should, if you think I or other pastors in this church should promote a political candidate or party, and you think this is worth dividing the church over, then I’m sincerely sad about that, because I treasure our fellowship together in Jesus, but at the same time I’m truly happy for you to be in another church as long as that church is preaching the gospel.

THE NEW AMERICAN: “MAGA Nuns” Who Attended Trump Rally Explain Why

“MAGA Nuns” Who Attended Trump Rally Explain Why

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Three nuns from the Children of Mary in Cincinnati who sat behind President Trump at his rally in Circleville, Ohio, on Saturday became instant celebrities, and targets. Known now as the “MAGA Nuns” — each wore a mask with Trump’s favorite expression on them — they were immediately asked why they were there expressing their support for the president’s reelection.

They responded in a statement published by LifeSite News:

Thank you to the vast majority who have responded with love and support. To those who have responded with criticism or simply questioned why we would send Sisters to the rally, we are happy to have this opportunity to explain:

There are indeed many issues concerning the quality of life that need to be addressed. However, the pre-eminent issue is the intrinsic evil of taking innocent human life through abortion. We, as faithful Catholics, consider it our duty — a joyful duty — to support a president, regardless of party affiliation, who upholds the Gospel of Life.

Mother Philomena Maria told LifeSite News, “We’re trying to do what we feel the Lord wants us to do.”

Although most responded favorably to the nuns’ public display of support, others weren’t so charitable, including an individual who described himself as a “former” Republican who “doxed” the group on Twitter, claiming that “I like nuns with no political agenda.”

But he appeared to be in the minority. Sister Deirdre “Dede” Tyrne, a sister with the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, spoke at the Republican National Convention this past summer, contrasting Trump’s record as “the most pro-life president this nation has ever had” with the Biden/Harris ticket which she said was “the most anti-life presidential ticket ever, even supporting the horrors of late-term abortion and infanticide.”

Recent polling data from EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) and RealClearPolitics showed that Trump leads Biden among Catholics “who regularly attend Mass.” Overall, according to that poll, Trump leads Biden among Catholic voters by 51-43, with 43 percent of them saying that practicing Catholics should follow the teachings of the Catholic Church and oppose abortion.

Abortion is the most important issue for Teresa S. Collet too. Collet, a professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a well-regarded advocate for the protection of human life, told America, The Jesuit Review:

Had President Trump proven unfaithful to his promises to protect the unborn and religious liberty, I would consider voting for someone else. Had a significant number of his judicial nominees been unqualified or unsuitable, I would be looking at other candidates more closely….

In fact, the president has been faithful to his promises and delivered more than I hoped for when I voted for him in 2016.

Taylor Marshall, another well-known Catholic apologist, advocate for traditionalist Catholicism and board member of Catholics for Trump, excoriated Joe Biden. He told his followers back in July that he was supporting President Trump in his reelection bid because “Joe Biden is vehemently pro-choice, pro-abortion, and supports a number of policies that grind against Catholic doctrine and Catholic school teaching.”

Catholics, according to James Keane, writing in America, are being pushed into the arms of Trump by the now-radicalized Democratic Party. He wrote:

Perhaps no issue in U.S. politics over the last half-century has driven more Catholics from their traditionally Democratic leanings into the arms of the Republican Party than abortion law….

The consistent leftward drift of the Democratic Party on abortion is a huge stumbling block to Mr. Biden’s pursuit of widespread Catholic support.

If nothing else the “MAGA Nuns” have awakened Catholics to the preeminent issue of life, and the threat to it by the positions taken by Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris.

Joe Biden Pledges to Gut Religious Freedom

Biden Pledges to Gut Religious Freedom Protections, Saying They Give 'Hate' a 'Safe Harbor'

On Wednesday, the Democratic nominee told Philadelphia Gay News that President Donald Trump has given “hate” a “safe harbor” by protecting religious freedom and enabling what Biden condemned as “discrimination.”

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Joe Biden made no bones about it: If he wins the presidential election, he will gut religious freedom protections that allow faith-based homeless shelters, charities, and small business owners to act according to their consciences. Specifically, he will shove LGBT ideology down the throats of religious Americans in the name of fighting “discrimination.”

On Wednesday, the Democratic nominee told Philadelphia Gay News that President Donald Trump has given “hate” a “safe harbor” by protecting religious freedom and enabling what Biden condemned as “discrimination.”

“Donald Trump and Mike Pence have given hate against LGBTQ+ individuals safe harbor and rolled back critical protections for the LGBTQ+ community,” the Democrat alleged. “By blocking the ability of transgender individuals to openly serve their country, denying LGBTQ+ people access to critical health care, proposing policies allowing federally funded homeless shelters to turn away transgender people and federally funded adoption agencies to reject same-sex couples, and failing to address the epidemic of violence against transgender people — particularly transgender women of color — the Trump-Pence Administration has led a systematic effort to undo the progress President Obama and I made.”

Throughout his interview, Biden condemned as “discrimination” the idea that faith-based homeless shelters, adoption agencies, and other charities would refuse to endorse same-sex marriage, transgender identity, and experimental cross-sex drugs and surgeries. He acted as though any desire to follow a traditional Christian, Jewish, or Muslim view of sexuality and gender must be rank “discrimination.” This falls in line with the radical pro-LGBT Equality Act, which Biden said he would pass in his first 100 days, should Democrats win the Senate and hold onto the House.

“It’s wrong to deny people access to services or housing because of who they are or who they love,” Biden argued.

Philadelphia Gay News asked the Democrat a question about religious freedom that demonized the very idea. “The idea of ‘religious freedom’ as a reason to allow discrimination has stoked divisiveness in this country. What can we do as a country to ensure that discrimination against LGBTQ people, no matter how it’s justified, does not happen?” the paper asked.

Biden responded by condemning Trump, accusing the president of having “deliberately tried to gut protections for the LGBTQ+ community by creating broad religious exemptions to existing nondiscrimination laws and policies that allow businesses, medical providers, and adoption agencies to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people.”

“We need to root out discrimination in our laws, institutions, and public spaces. Religion should not be used as a license to discriminate, and as president, I will oppose legislation to deny LGBTQ+ equal treatment in public places. I will immediately reverse discriminatory practices that Trump put in place and work to advance the rights of LGBTQ+ people widely,” Biden pledged.

DNC Resolution Takes Aim at Christians, Warning Against ‘Religious Liberty’

“Discrimination”-The Democrat’s pledges may sound positive and inclusive — he wants “protections” for people and he wants to fight “discrimination,” right? — but this rhetoric is deceptive.

Democrats have twisted the notion of discrimination in order to force Christians to violate their beliefs.

Christian baker Jack Phillips, for example, refused to bake a custom cake for a same-sex wedding, although he gladly sells all sorts of pre-made cakes to LGBT people in his shop. Yet the Colorado Civil Rights Commission ruled that he had discriminated against people on the basis of sexual orientation. He appealed the case all the way to the Supreme Court and won — because members of the commission displayed animus against his religious faith, comparing his views to those of the Nazis.

Even after this Supreme Court victory, Phillips again faced the commission. A transgender lawyer asked him to bake an obscene custom cake celebrating the lawyer’s gender transition. Phillips refused, citing his free speech right not to be forced to endorse a view with which he disagrees. The commission again found him guilty of discrimination, but it dropped the complaint in March 2019. The lawyer promptly sued PhillipsChristian floristsfarmers, and other bakers have faced government sanctions for “discrimination” when they refused to celebrate same-sex weddings, exercising their rights to religious freedom, freedom of association, and free speech.

This year, Gov. Ralph Northam (D-Va.) signed legislation that will force Christian schools and ministries to hire people who oppose their religious convictions on sexuality and gender. The laws will also force these ministries — which hold that God created humans male and female — to open women’s sports and women’s restrooms to biological males, to refer to biological males by female pronouns if they “identify” as female, and to pay for transgender surgery in their health care plans.

A lawsuit challenging the new laws as unconstitutional charged that Virginia’s LGBT statues force “people of faith to adopt a particular government ideology under threat of punishment.”

Indeed, it seems Biden aims to force transgender ideology on the American people.

“I believe every transgender or non-binary person should have the option of selecting ‘X’ as their gender marker on government identifications, passports, and other documentation. I will support state and federal efforts to allow for this accurate representation,” he said (emphasis added).

In other words, Biden claims that transgender identity, not biological sex, is an “accurate” representation, even though biological males do not become female and vice versa. In one particularly tragic case, a pregnant mother who identified as transgender arrived at the hospital in labor. Because her documents falsely listed her as male, the doctors assumed her issue was not pregnancy and her baby died.

Yet the Democrat endorsed transgender identity as “accurate” and seems intent on forcing that ideology throughout the federal government.

Virginia Forces Christian Ministries to Adopt ‘Government Ideology’ or Pay $100K

Biden’s mischaracterization of Trump’s policies

Biden illustrated just this kind of logic by demonizing Trump’s commonsense policies and religious freedom protections.

Trump required the military to admit soldiers according to their biological sex, not their gender identity. This was not a “ban” on transgender people but an acknowledgment of biological sex, which might be extremely important in the military and in health care, since men and women physiologically react to certain medications differently.

Similarly, Trump protected religiously affiliated medical groups from having to pay for transgender surgery — an experimental and divisive medical operation that Obamacare appeared to mandate businesses must cover in insurance. This is what Biden referred to as “denying LGBTQ+ people access to critical health care.” Many former transgender people have regretted surgeries that left them permanently scarred.

Finally, many homeless shelters and adoption agencies are run as religious charities. Mandating that homeless shelters must house biological men who claim to identify as female with vulnerable women is a recipe for disaster — and it violates the religious freedom of faith-based shelters that do not accept transgender ideology. Similarly, adoption agencies should be able to abide by their own standards and many adoption agencies do place kids with same-sex couples.

Violating the religious freedom of homeless shelters and adoption agencies will only gut these critical services. Many adoption agencies have shut their doors rather than violate their consciences, so Biden-style government policies leave needy children in the lurch.

Biden did not just pledge to fight religious freedom at home, however. In his interview with Philadelphia Gay News, he pledged to “restore America’s global leadership on LGBTQ+ issues and actively combat violence and discrimination that is far too rampant. … If governments restrict the rights of LBGTQ+ individuals, or allow violence or discrimination, my Administation, working with partners, will use America’s full range of diplomatic tools to influence that government’s behavior, including private diplomacy, public statements, and multilateral initiatives at United Nations agencies.”

Of course, America should stand up for human rights across the world, and too many countries make homosexual activity a crime punishable by death. The Trump administration has launched a global effort to end the criminalization of homosexual activity.

Yet it seems Biden is intent on pushing his radical anti-religious freedom vision of opposing “discrimination.” In fact, he argued that “the Trump-Pence Administration’s treatment of LGBTQ+ Americans… signals a tolerance for abuses by other countries.”

Tragically, all of this radicalism is of a piece with Biden’s public statements, notorious statements from a staffer, and his party’s increasing hostility to religious freedom.

One of Biden’s staffers said that a woman like Amy Coney Barrett should be “disqualified” from serving on the Supreme Court because she believes marriage should be between one man and one woman. Biden has demonized those who oppose LGBT activism. His running mate has endorsed the “anti-LGBT hate group” smear that the scandal-plagued smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center levels at conservative Christian groups.

While Joe Biden identifies himself as Roman Catholic and claims to abide by the Greatest Commandment, he would vehemently oppose religious freedom in office.

Voting With a Biblical Worldview

The sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage and the protection of religious freedom are the key issues for Christians as they cast their vote in this year's election. There is only one party that upholds and supports these Christian values. Therefore, the decision should be easy for those who desire to please God. Yet recent polls indicate that many Christians will vote for the godless party platform which opposes Christian values and promotes a woman's "right" to destroy her unborn baby. What hope do the American people have if the people of God will not stand against evil and the powers of darkness? America is at a crossroads, and the Church must continue to be salt and light and the restraining force against the willing pawns of the evil one. We cannot be cowardly, or complicit or silent. We must stand up and speak out for what is right and true!
Voting Is Our Privilege and Responsibility
What is our Christian responsibility as American citizens? Is it a matter of conscience and Christian liberty as to how we vote? How can we approach this election with a biblical worldview? Our guiding principle should be to honor our Creator by submitting to the authority of His Word. As we make moral decisions, we must obey biblical commands and biblical prohibitions. It is true that we have two flawed candidates; however, the two platforms they represent are polarized morally, politically, and theologically. The two platforms are diametrically opposed on the issues of the sanctity of life and the sanctity of marriage. It is important to consider that these are spiritual and moral issues because they are clearly revealed throughout God's Word. All other issues must be secondary to these. As Christians, we must always oppose infanticide, the destruction of traditional marriage, and the pending loss of Christian liberty. Scripture exhorts us to destroy every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor. 10:5).
Our Votes Could Help Put An End to What God Hates
God hates hands that shed innocent blood. They are an abomination to Him (Prov. 6:16-17). There is nothing more evil or wicked than destroying the innocent life of a defenseless baby in a mother's womb. Those who support politicians who give women the right to murder their unborn children are complicit with those who disobey the clear commandment of God - "...Do not murder" (Luke 18:20). Abortion is morally evil and a serious capital offense that must be outlawed and punished, not condoned, excused, overlooked, or allowed. "Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man (Gen. 9:6). Even an inadvertent killing of an unborn baby justified killing the responsible person (Exodus 21:22-23). How much more serious is it when done intentionally? Let us vote righteously to save unborn children who are the most defenseless and helpless of all people. We can be the voice for the voiceless.
Our Votes Reveal What We Approve or Disapprove
The apostle Paul warned those who give approval to people who practice such wickedness. He wrote: "...although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them (Rom. 1:32). We are to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Eph. 5:11). Christians who support an immoral, ungodly, and unbiblical platform are giving approval to their wicked works of darkness and clearly not reproving them. We are called to "abhor what is evil and hold fast to what is good" (Rom. 12:9). Since God requires government to restrain evil, voting is about supporting the candidate who will restrain as much evil as possible (1 Pet. 2:14).
Our Votes May Determine if We Rejoice or Groan
There is so much at stake in this year's election. After it is over, we will either rejoice or groan. "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when a wicked man rules, people groan" (Prov. 29:2). We must vote and vote righteously because "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people" (Prov. 14:34). Christians have been called out of the world, sanctified by the truth, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live lives pleasing to our Lord. May all of our decisions of the conscience be fortified by a biblical worldview. Let us pray for God's people to do what is right!
How Are 53% of Protestant Pastors Voting?

Nashville-based LifeWay Research found 98% of Protestant pastors in the U.S. say they plan to vote in the presidential election. When they cast their ballot, 53% of pastors plan to vote for Donald Trump. Joe Biden is the choice of 21% and 22% say they are still undecided. About 4% say they are voting for a different candidate. When asked which characteristics of the candidates are important in deciding how to vote, clear majorities of pastors say the candidate's position on abortion (70%), their ability to protect religious freedom (65%) and their likely Supreme Court nominees (62%) are key factors. In terms of the most important issue in determining their vote, evangelical pastors are more likely than mainline pastors to say abortion is most important (33% to 5%). Read more.
An oxymoronic group that calls itself "Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden" has released a document calling for evangelical Christians to vote for pro-abortion candidate Joe Biden for president. Billy Graham's granddaughter is part of the group. It is inconceivable that all Christians would refuse to take a stand against abortion, yet Southern Baptist president, J.D. Greear, allows a pro-abortion woman to teach Bible study at his church. John Piper will not vote for the prideful pro-life candidate because it is "presumptuous to assume that pro-abortion policies kill more people than a culture-saturating, pro-self pride." What hope does our country have if the church cannot get it right?
Biden Was Asked: "How Will You Explain Supporting Abortion to God?"

A Tennessee Catholic bishop asked Joe Biden how he will account to God for his support of killing innocent unborn babies in abortions. Bishop Rick Stika of Knoxville, Tennessee has not been shy about criticizing the Democrat presidential candidate. Biden claims to be a devout Catholic, but he supports abortions without restriction and wants to force taxpayers to pay for them. He and his vice-presidential running mate, Kamala Harris, are being described as the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in history.
The Catholic Church clearly condemns abortion and teaches that every human life is valuable from conception to natural death. Biden claims to faithfully live out his Catholic faith, but he openly opposes the church's teachings about the sanctity of human life. For these hypocritical claims, he is being called out by Catholic leaders across America. In 2019, a South Carolina priest even refused to give Biden communion because he supports killing unborn babies in abortions. Read more.

Catholic Teachings that Oppose John's Gospel

The Roman Catholic Church does not build its theology on the historical text of Scripture or on the authors' original intent. Instead, it has added 1600 years of religious traditions that nullify, distort and oppose the Word of God. The tragic result is that millions of Catholics are embracing a distorted gospel that is leading them down the wide road of destruction. Evangelist Mike Gendron gave a message on Catholic Teachings that Oppose the Gospel of John. As you listen to the message, you can view the Keynote slides here.

US Signs International Consensus on Women’s Health Declaring There Is No Universal ‘Right to Abortion’

Pompeo said. “It’s historic to be here. It’s the first time that a multilateral coalition has been built around the issue of defending life.”

The virtual international ceremonial signing of the Geneva Consensus Declaration, cohosted by Secretaries Alex Azar and Mike Pompeo and co-sponsored by the governments of Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Uganda, and the United States was held on October 22 at 11 am EST. The Geneva Consensus Declaration strengthens the resolve to achieve these four pillars: (1) better health for women, (2) the preservation of human life, (3) strengthening of the family as the foundational unit of society, and (4) protecting every nation's national sovereignty in global politics. This event charts a positive way forward for accelerating progress and will be a celebration of partnership between the many countries gathered.

WASHINGTON — The United States hosted a virtual signing of the Geneva Consensus Declaration on Thursday, joining with 31 nations to declare their commitment to women’s health and the strengthening of the family, while also proclaiming that there is no international “right to abortion.”

The event featured remarks from Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who state that they have been co-laboring to promote the value of the unborn.

“Alex and I both share a deep and very personal commitment to protect human dignity. Our agencies have worked tirelessly together,” Pompeo said. “It’s historic to be here. It’s the first time that a multilateral coalition has been built around the issue of defending life.”

He explained that he and Azar sent a letter to likeminded countries last year to ask that they join in the effort to promote human dignity, and 2o of those leaders came up with a joint statement denouncing abortion advocacy sentiments in UN documents.

“Today, we’re taking the next step, as we sign the Geneva Consensus Declaration. At its very core, the declaration protects women’s health, defends the unborn, and reiterates the vital importance of the family as the foundation of society,” Pompeo outlined. “It’s a group of countries that respects life, and the U.S. is proud to stand with each and every one of them.”

The declaration states that the signing nations “[e]mphasize that ‘in no case should abortion be promoted as a method of family planning’ and that ‘any measures or changes related to abortion within the health system can only be determined at the national or local level according to the national legislative process.”

The countries also “[r]eaffirm that ‘the child … needs special safeguards and care … before as well as after birth’ and [that] ‘special measures of protection and assistance should be taken on behalf of all children,’ based on the principle of the best interest of the child.”

The document proclaims the nations’ commitment to improving health care for women but “without including abortion” and again affirms that “there is no international right to abortion, nor any international obligation on the part of States to finance or facilitate abortion, consistent with the long-standing international consensus that each nation has the sovereign right to implement programs and activities consistent with their laws and policies.”

Signing countries include Belarus, Cameroon, Egypt, Haiti, Hungary, Iraq, Kenya, Pakistan, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, and Zambia.

Azar says that other nations are welcome to sign the declaration at any time.

“Tragically, women around the world unnecessarily suffer health challenges — all too often, deadly health challenges — while too many wealthy nations and international institutions put a myopic focus on a radical agenda that is offensive to many cultures and derails agreement on women’s health priorities,” he remarked at the signing.

“Today, we put down a clear marker: No longer can U.N. agencies reinterpret and misinterpret agreed-upon language without accountability. Member States set the policy for the U.N. to pursue. Not the other way around,” he said.

“Without apology, we affirm that governments have the sovereign right to make their own laws to protect innocent life and write their regulations on abortion. The stakes are too high to permit radical, divisive agendas to hinder the ability of women in countries at all stages of development to attain better health.”

Thousands Protest Anti-Abortion Ruling by Poland’s Court

"But for the moment, the Polish Supreme Court has issued a ruling perfectly in line with the beliefs of its people. And the radicals are shut out."

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Hundreds of protesters marched in Warsaw, Poland, demonstrating against a ruling by the nation’s Supreme Court that you cannot kill a baby because of “fetal defects.”

But it leaves in place the right of legal abortions in cases of rape, incest, and the health of the mother.

Apparently, this just isn’t good enough for the pro-abortion crowd that wants abortion on demand anytime and all the time.

Poland’s highest court ruled Thursday that abortions due to fetal defects were unconstitutional. Around 98% of abortions in Poland had been conducted as a result of fetal defects, meaning the ruling bans virtually all terminations taking place in the country.

The country already has some of the strictest abortion laws in Europe and will now only allow a termination in cases of rape, incest or when the mother’s life in danger.

There is nothing radical in this decision. In fact, most Americans support legalized abortion but with similar restrictions.

Even though Americans are solidly against overturning Roe, a majority would also like to see abortion restricted in various ways. In a separate question, respondents were asked which of six choices comes closest to their view of abortion policy.

In all, 61% said they were in favor of a combination of limitations that included allowing abortion in just the first three months of a pregnancy (23%); only in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the woman (29%); or only to save the life of the woman (9%).

That’s a far cry from radical feminists who are demanding the option of late-term abortions. Just 12 percent of Americans favor their radical abortion vision, with solid majorities of even pro-choice women favoring some restrictions.

The survey also found that majorities of pro-choice Americans support substantial restrictions on abortion. Americans as a whole – and pro-life Americans –support restrictions at even higher rates.

Two-thirds of pro-choice Americans would support limiting abortion to – at most – the first three months of pregnancy. The view is shared by 8 in 10 Americans overall (81 percent). More than 6 in 10 pro-choice Americans (62 percent) and a similar number of Americans overall (61 percent) would ban abortion after 20 weeks, except to save the life of the mother. And more than half of those who identify as pro-choice would ban taxpayer funding of abortion, a view shared by 68 percent of Americans overall.

So pro-life women aren’t so “radical” after all. Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett being portrayed as an anti-abortion extremist is ludicrous. She has carefully considered abortion cases while serving on the lower court and is very much in the mainstream when it comes to restrictions on abortion. Trying to paint her as a crusading radical is dishonest and says more about her critics than it does her.

Meanwhile, Poland, as a Catholic country, could hardly have opened the floodgates to abortion. There will be those who argue that forcing a woman to carry a deformed child to term is cruel and imposes burdens on women. That may be true. And someday, medical science may find a way to cure a child of many deformities while in the womb or even program genes not to turn on and create the deformities in the first place. Those practices raise their own ethical dilemmas and may not be the alternative they appear to be.

But for the moment, the Polish Supreme Court has issued a ruling perfectly in line with the beliefs of its people. And the radicals are shut out.

John Piper Says Trump’s Personal Immorality More Deadly Than Planned Parenthood

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

One of the most baffling epidemics plaguing the Christian Church in our modern times is the push to move the Church away from traditional biblical conservatism and closer to the center-left. Several prominent Evangelical pastors and theologians have shifted toward this position in recent years arguing that the sins of the right are no different — no less deadly — than the sins of the left.

As the Southern Baptist Convention and progressive outlets such as The Gospel Coalition embrace leftist ideology, more and more, the Church itself becomes less of a bastion for conservatism enabling leftism to enter the pews and pulpits of our churches. The Church has done a poor job of teaching cultural issues from a biblical perspective leading many church-goers with the impression that politics is subjective and whether or not you vote for a Democrat or a Republican, so long as you do so in “good conscience,” you are in good standing.

This, however, is false — and it is a false perception that is being promulgated by notable theologians like John Piper.

Today, John Piper released an article decrying the personal immorality of Donald Trump — whose policies have been friendly to the Christian Church and favorable to conservatism — and comparing it to the deadliness of Planned Parenthood. Piper tweeted the release of the article with the commentary, “This article is probably as close as you will get to an answer on how I will vote in the upcoming presidential election.”

After reading the article, one cannot walk away with any other conclusion than John Piper will not be voting for Donald Trump. He does not say if he would vote for the Democrat candidate, perhaps he would vote for a third party candidate. But he does not sound favorable toward Donald Trump … at all.

“I think it is a drastic mistake to think that the deadly influences of a leader come only through his policies and not also through his person,” Piper writes. “This is true not only because flagrant boastfulness, vulgarity, immorality, and factiousness are self-incriminating, but also because they are nation-corrupting.”

Piper, here, as so many other Evangelical leaders have tried to do over the last four years, is trying to make the case that somehow, because of Donald Trump’s personal immorality, that Democrats have some kind of moral high-ground, despite their destructive policies. Piper wants to argue that Trump’s personal immorality is somehow greater than the personal immorality of, say, Joe Biden and that Trump’s personal immorality somehow cancels out the bad policies of the other candidates.

Let’s be clear, the Democrats — who want to kill millions of children, want to force homosexuality down everyone’s throat and force everyone to celebrate it, want to allow violent mobs to rule major cities while defunding the police, want to steal from those who work hard to give to sluggards, and have a party platform that is basically the antithesis to God’s law — do not have any kind of moral high ground. They are murderers, not just at heart, but are actively involved in the plot to assassinate children. They are bloodthirsty and want more. They will not stop.

Sure, Donald Trump commits sins. He is an adulterer, he says crass things, and he suffers from an addiction to greed. He is most definitely a self-idolater — as are all lost people. Donald Trump is no angel of light. However, what is so mind-boggling that a man as “brilliant” as John Piper can’t grasp this concept: Donald Trump is not trying to legislate his personal immorality into national policy, the Democrats are.

To make matters worse, Piper compares Donald Trump’s personal immorality to abortion — even going as far as saying that Trump’s sins are more deadly than Planned Parenthood.

I think Roe is an evil decision. I think Planned Parenthood is a code name for baby-killing and (historically at least) ethnic cleansing. And I think it is baffling and presumptuous to assume that pro-abortion policies kill more people than a culture-saturating, pro-self pride.

When a leader models self-absorbed, self-exalting boastfulness, he models the most deadly behavior in the world. He points his nation to destruction. Destruction of more kinds than we can imagine.

It is naive to think that a man can be effectively pro-life and manifest consistently the character traits that lead to death — temporal and eternal.

Does John Piper not understand the purpose of civil government? The Scriptures, while they do call civil leaders to righteousness, does not call the civil government to model the gospel. That is the job and function of the Church. The calling of the civil government is to wield the sword of righteousness, punish evil, and reward good. To dismiss the egregiousness of abortion as no greater — or even less than — the egregiousness of Donald Trump’s personal sins is at best a dereliction of his pastoral duty on the part of Piper.

The Scriptures are replete with examples of wicked leaders that God used for the good of a nation. Right now, we, as a nation, are faced with two choices. One choice is to vote for a grossly immoral man who, at least, still wants to preserve the individual rights of Christians to worship freely, preserve the right of children to live while at least attempting, to the best of his ability, to dismantle national pro-abortion policies (government is very limited here due to Supreme Court rulings), and to protect the law and order of the nation. The other choice is for a grossly immoral man who wants to expand abortion, strip religious freedoms, and enslave the nation to the idolatry of state.

Does John Piper really believe that there is freedom of conscience and moral equivalency in these two choices? If so, he should repent.

Southern Baptist Leaders Sign Statement Declaring Baby-Killers “Followers of Jesus”

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Last week, when Billy Graham’s granddaughter signed an endorsement of Joe Biden dubbed “Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden” — an oxymoron if there ever was one — it seemed as though it was settled that Evangelicalism had completely fallen. It seemed as though the Evangelical Church’s leadership has taken such a sharp left turn from biblical fidelity that it was no longer recognizable as the Church of Jesus Christ.

It seemed.

But now, Russell Moore, one of the most influential leaders in the Southern Baptist Convention and the head of the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, along with Ed Stetzer, former head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s LifeWay Research, and Danny Akin, president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, have signed a statement declaring people who vote to advance the “right” to murder their children as “followers of Jesus.”

These Southern Baptists — who joined with rank apostates from far-left organizations such as the AND Campaign — have essentially endorsed not only the sin of abortion, but homosexuality and other forms of lawlessness that God hates as acceptable among the ranks of the Christian Church.

“As evangelical Christians, we are called by Jesus to love God and to love our neighbor,” the statement reads. “As citizens who follow this call, we must engage with humility, civility, intellectual rigor and honesty in the complex and contentious social issues that face our nation. We invite all followers of Jesus — whether Democrats, Republicans or Independents — to join us in seeking the health of the nation for the good of all people.”

Here’s the bottom line: you can be a Christian or you can be a Democrat — but you can’t be both. This seems like such a simple concept to those who profess Christ and actually believe what the Word of God says about morality. The Democrat party has made their party platform essentially the official opposition to the law of God. Everything God hates, the Democrat party platform loves; abortion, homosexuality, theft, lawlessness, and extremely important, they want to strip religious freedom.

Why would Russell Moore, Danny Akin, Ed Stetzer, and a host of other “Evangelicals” sign on to such an anti-Christ statement? Ten years ago, this would have been an extremely difficult sell and, fifteen years ago, impossible. But, today, it seems like par for the course. The vast majority of pew sitters are either clueless as to what’s happening in their denomination, or they are complicit. Increasingly, more and more are complicit.

The statement itself is nothing more than a replacement of the gospel with social justice activism — seeking to bring together politically-neutered professing Christians who won’t speak up about what’s actually biblically right and true, but, instead, want to make the gospel about man’s work bringing societal change through socialism rather than it being about Christ’s work on the cross the change hearts to advance the Kingdom of God that is “not of this world.”

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” — John 18:36

It has become evident and clear what “kingdom” these progressive church leaders are a part of.

As Mark Dever Defends Democrats, Trump Appointee Defends Mark Dever’s Church’s Right to Worship

A federal judge recently ruled in favor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C. as he slapped down Mayor Muriel Bowser’s church shutdown order as unconstitutional.

In his rebuke of the mayor’s Draconian lockdown targeting churches while allowing riots and protests to continue unabated, the judge correctly cited Hebrews 10:25 as part of the Church’s deeply-held religious beliefs to assemble regularly.

“…not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

It has been a historic practice of the Church to assemble — in person, regularly — for corporate worship, prayer, and service. The practice has been observed for centuries, however, Pagan-run governments around the world have never ceased in their efforts to stifle religious freedom. For centuries, the politically-motivated Roman Catholic Church held the most power over the true Church — even killing millions of those worshipers over the years who dared to abandon their first loyalty to her.

Now, during a time of epic crisis in the United States and around the world, tyrants have continued to reach for more power while trying to dismantle and neuter the Church.

In D.C., the mayor’s order would allow churches to meet outside the District, conduct services by radio, or limit the number of people who could attend to no more than 100. However, according to the Washington Times, District Judge Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee, said none of those met the church’s deeply held religious need to meet as a whole congregation, which numbered nearly 1,000 people before the pandemic meant.

The judge stated, according to The Washington Times, that “officials may think their alternatives are good enough but that’s not up to them to dictate. The church has a sincerely held belief about the centrality of a full communal gathering, and the city is hindering that.”

“It is for the church, not the District or this court, to define for itself the meaning of ‘not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,’” Judge McFadden wrote, citing the scriptural passage from the New Testament’s Epistle to the Hebrews.

Interestingly, Capitol Hill Baptist Church has been one of the politically-progressive churches that have opposed Donald Trump over the last four years. Dever has advanced the leftist narrative that white cops are out to kill black people, and he doesn’t believe that Democrat-sanctioned abortion is as bad as Hitler’s Germany. The church’s pastor, Mark Dever, has repeatedly argued that it is acceptable for church members to support pro-choice, anti-religious freedom Democrat candidates. However, had Democrats been in charge and leftists judges been appointed, Dever could have kissed his religious freedom good bye.

Danielle D’Souza Gill: Abortion Is the Driving Force Behind the Left’s Attack on America

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

At a time when President Donald Trump’s new nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court could influence the “next 50 years of what our country could really look like” — including overturning Roe v. Wade — Danielle D’Souza Gill argues that abortion is the “driving force” behind the Democratic Left’s all-out attack on Trump and America.

In her book The Choice: The Abortion Divide in America, released this week by Center Street/Hachette Book Group, D’Souza Gill, the daughter of New York Times bestselling author Dinesh D’Souza, argues that if Trump is reelected on November 3 then over the next four years there is a very good chance that the Supreme Court could move to a 6-3 majority, even a 7-2 majority, that could overturn the 1973 high court decision legalizing abortion in America.

Trump recently nominated conservative federal judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, and her upcoming confirmation hearings beginning October 12 could significantly shift the balance of power on the court.

From the point of view of the pro-choice Left, “Trump signifies a reconstructed Supreme Court — and even a reconstructed America,” D’Souza Gill wrote.

Abortion is at the center of the values the Left has been trying to impose on the culture since the 1960s counterculture revolution, and now that “culture of great sex” and “doing whatever you want because you feel like it” is in jeopardy with Trump’s remaking of the judicial system that the Left has relied upon for decades to carry out their agenda, she says.

“I think the Left knows that President Trump doesn’t just influence the next four years, but really could influence the next 50 years of what our country could really look like, and they don’t want to have to live with that legacy,” D’Souza Gill told The New American in an exclusive interview.

Looking back at the 2016 presidential election, she says the biggest fear of the Left was that Trump would remake America’s courts and he did.

“He’s had a huge influence on our courts,” she says. “Even if we look at the (Brett) Kavanaugh situation, the Left tried to make it about the #MeToo movement, but even Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyer, Debra Katz, said that Roe v. Wade is part of what motivated Christine. I think we even saw that with protests with The Handmaid’s Tale and things like that — it was clearly about Roe v. Wade.

“Looking now even at (Trump’s) nomination of Amy Coney Barrett, the fear from the Left is that Roe v. Wade will be overturned. I think that is what is fueling their anger about her nomination. So, I think that this abortion issue really does boil below all these controversies that are going on today, especially the ones that we see the biggest heat from in the news right now.”

In the book, she argues the Democratic Left has become radicalized on abortion, viewing it no longer as a necessary evil, but a positive good, and consequently they have legitimized a form of mass killing that dwarfs the deaths caused by cancer, smoking, homicide, terrorism, and war.

About 60 million babies have been aborted in America since Roe v. Wade.

“The reason I call it the greatest form of mass killing is that when we can see the baby on the ultrasound, we can hear the heartbeat,” she says. “We can see that they release the same stress hormones (during an abortion) that we do when we’re under duress. So, when a baby is going through an abortion, they release hormones like cortisol, which is what we do when we’re in pain.

“I think that we can also see the fact that this is just about the early points of pregnancy. This isn’t just about when the heartbeat starts. This is about nine-month abortions, and that’s what legal in New York and seven other states. We’re talking about points of viability and after when the baby can live on its own outside the womb. So, I do think it’s the greatest form of mass killing of our time and, unfortunately, I think many people are afraid to call it (the pre-born baby) what it is, which is a human life.”

MAKE NO MISTAKE: Biden supports ALL radical leftist policies

We are less than one month away from the presidential election. Joe Biden has called a lid, which means he stopped public appearances for the day, dozens of times over the past month. He still dodges reporter questions, and he straight up refused to answer questions the American people want to know during the first presidential debate. So, here are 10 things you need to know about Joe Biden.

Billy Graham’s Granddaughter Among Signers of “Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden” Statement

The statement began reasonably:

"As pro-life evangelicals, we disagree with Vice President Biden and the Democratic platform on the issue of abortion."

"But we believe that a biblically shaped commitment to the sanctity of human life compels us to a consistent ethic of life that affirms the sanctity of human life from beginning to end."

Yes, and in what state of consciousness must one be in to conclude that Joe Biden and the modern Democrat Party affirms that "consistent ethic of life"?

  • The party that seeks to codify infanticide?
  • The party that demands the public-school indoctrination of young people with the fanciful view of life being nothing but a cosmic accident with no ultimate purpose or destiny?
  • The party that actively promotes an ethic that defines disabled or inconvenient life as unworthy of legal protection?
  • The party that excuses the "humane" extermination of elderly and infirmed life?
  • The party that champions as courageous those who would terminate their own existence rather than battle terminal illness?

One of the most oxymoronic statements of 2020 is the statement itself, “Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden.” Joe Biden, himself, is the epitome of pro-abortion and the left has determined that more access to abortion is the path forward for this country.

Besides the fact that Joe Biden is staunchly pro-abortion, Biden and the left’s platform consists of practically everything that God hates; abortion, homosexuality, theft, lawlessness, etc. Yet, despite this, a group of well-known evangelicals has signed a statement endorsing Joe Biden for president.

Among the original signers of the statement include several well-known evangelicals including Christianity Today Board Chair emeritus, John Huffman, Fuller Seminary president emeritus, Richard Mouw, Billy Graham’s Granddaughter, Jerusha Duford, President emeritus Westminster Theological Seminary, Samuel T. Logan, and several others.

The statement boasts financial reasons — not sin — as the most common reason women commit abortions and endorses Joe Biden’s socialism and wealth redistribution as the antidote.

“Knowing that the most common reason women give for abortion is the financial difficulty of another child,” reads the statement, “we appreciate a number of Democratic proposals that would significantly alleviate that financial burden: accessible health services for all citizens, affordable childcare, a minimum wage that lifts workers out of poverty.”

What these signers, who lay claim to the evangelical faith, don’t understand is that abortion is murder. They do not value human life. Life is not expendable simply because a woman doesn’t believe that she can raise a child. To take an unborn human life is not only murder and should be treated as such, punishable under the maximum extent of the law, it is an affront to God and a direct attack on his image. It is not the government’s responsibility to financially support your children, it is your responsibility. It is the government’s responsibility to protect the God-given right to life and freedom to live affirmed in the Constitution of the United States.

To support the right to kill a child is not Christian and none of the signers of this statement should be treated as such.

NJ GovERNOR MURPHY Trumpets Proposal to Codify Roe Into State Law, Make Abortion Free Via Insurance Coverage

TRENTON, N.J. — The Democratic governor of New Jersey is trumpeting legislation that will seek to codify the “right” to an abortion into state law should Roe v. Wade ever be overturned by the Supreme Court, as well as to ensure that abortion and birth control are free by mandating private insurance companies to cover them with “no out-of-pocket costs.”

Gov. Phil Murphy announced the proposal on his website on Friday, as well as on social media, writing, “New Jersey is the first state in the nation to announce legislation to protect and expand access to essential reproductive health care services in the wake of the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.”

He additionally participated in a virtual event posted to YouTube, in which he and his wife, Tammy, joined others in talking about the “Reproductive Freedom Act,” presented by Sen. Loretta Weinberg, D-Teaneck, and Assemblywoman Valerie Huttle, D-Bergen.

“Justice Ginsburg’s life work gives us the courage to do more than sit idly by as New Jersey has wondered aloud whether the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade,” Murphy said. “As the anti-choice and — quite frankly — anti-woman movement surges … in other states, here in New Jersey, we are moved to act. We are seizing the moment to codify everyone’s full reproductive rights into law.”

“As much of today is a celebration of our own autonomy and a declaration to our unyielding commitment to the women of this state, we also know it is another day in our ongoing fight to protect the progress we have made,” Tammy Murphy also stated. “That progress is not a given, but here in New Jersey, we are committed to a stronger and fairer New Jersey for everyone.”

The “Reproductive Freedom Act” will enshrine the “right” to abortion into state law, so that if Roe is dismantled and deemed a state issue, the matter will already be codified in New Jersey by statute. It additionally will ensure that women can obtain birth control and abortions at “no out of pocket costs” and will revoke some current regulations — although Murphy did not specify which ones but generally stated that the measure will “break[] down medically-unnecessary restrictions.”

During an interview with NPR on Thursday, when speaking of the possibility that Roe may be overturned, Murphy said, “I hope to God that doesn’t happen, but we don’t want to take a chance that it could happen.”

As previously reported, last year, lawmakers in the states of Illinois and Vermont passed similar laws, which declared that abortion is a “fundamental right” and the unborn do “not have independent rights.”

In January 2019, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo also generated outrage over the signing of the Reproductive Health Act, which similarly codifies Roe v. Wade into state law but also allows the unborn to be killed at any time if they are not expected to survive or if they are deemed to threaten the health or life of the mother. This caused some to state that Cuomo was allowing abortion up until birth in some instances.

Because of the New York law, which removed abortion in the first and second degree from the criminal code, a Queens man who killed his pregnant girlfriend by stabbing her in the abdomen, torso and neck was not charged in the baby’s death but only prosecuted for the murder of the woman.

“With New York’s law, we’re saying you can take a life and escape any punishment,” remarked Assemblyman Brian Manktelow, R-Wayne County. “How as a society can you allow that to happen?”

As previously reported, throughout history, Christians have plainly characterized abortion as murder in God’s eyes — an undoing of the very work of the Lord, who placed a precious living soul in the womb the mother.

“So low, gentleman, is the moral sense of community on this subject,” obstetrician Hugh Lennox Hodge said in his 1854 lecture on “Criminal Abortion.” “So ignorant are even the greater number of individuals, that even mothers in many instances shrink not at the commission of this crime, but will voluntarily destroy their own progeny, in violation of every natural sentiment, and in opposition to the laws of God and man.”

In his 1869 sermon entitled “Ante-Natal Infanticide”, E.

He lamented that “men and women place their own ease and pleasure above God’s law” and that “public opinion is so corrupted there is no voice of reproach,” forthrightly declaring, “Put what face upon it the community will, disguise it under whatever name you please, you can make no more or less of it than simple murder.”

The late preacher Lee Roy Shelton wrote in “The Crimes of Our Times”, “Life is cheap today to the average individual, but not to God. … God is concerned about that baby in the mother’s womb; He gave it. It came into being, I know, by normal process of a male’s and female’s being joined together as one, but it was God who gave the life in conception, and God alone has the right to say when it should be taken away.”

“Children are a heritage of the Lord; God alone gives little children; therefore, woe be unto that woman or man who destroys them, whether in the womb or out of the womb,” he said.

And while a common argument about abortion pertains to “bodily autonomy,” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 states, “Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
