Victor Davis Hanson: James Comey Tried to Take Down Trump. Now, He’s Facing Justice.
Obama administration FBI Director James Comey has been indicted by the DOJ for his role in the Russiagate hoax and 2016 election interference. In the first of a two-part series, Victor Davis Hanson breaks down the moral implications of Comey’s tenure as FBI director—marked by some of the most controversial decisions in modern American political history—on today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “James Comey, remember, also, he met with Donald Trump. And they had a confidential conversation. That's not in dispute. And James Comey assured the president of the United States that he was not the subject of an FBI investigation. That was false. Now, he may not have said that under oath, but he admitted he said that, and so did Donald Trump. “He lied to the president of the United States. And then what did he do? He took that conversation and ‘memorialized it.’ … He did not file them officially with the FBI. He put them in his private safe as safekeeping or insurance, so that he could embarrass the president of the United States, if he was ever threatened with firing.”

Victor Davis Hanson: Don’t Look Away—These Are the Democrat Party’s True Colors
Democrats have failed the test of basic human empathy once again, from spreading falsehoods about who Charlie Kirk was to speaking ill of the dead. With 118 Democrat House members refusing to honor Kirk's life, their response to his assassination has exposed their true colors. On today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words,” Hanson examines the reactions of key Democrat figures—Reps. Ilhan Omar, AOC, and Jasmine Crockett—following this tragic event. “ The House has a tradition, when major figures—political or in the media or in the popular culture—are gunned down, to express empathy. One of the more horrific things that happened, recently, was in Minnesota, when the speaker of the Minnesota Legislature and her husband were gunned down by a—he was a private citizen, angry over abortion. … Every single Republican went on record saying this is atrocious, that a gunman shot these very liberal, Democratic legislators in the state of liberal Minnesota. “ So, all people were trying to do after the death of Charlie Kirk, Representative Crockett, Representative Omar, Representative Ocasio-Cortez, just show a little sympathy, just put away the politics. And you failed that basic human test.”
Victor Davis Hanson: Why 118 Congressional Democrats Snubbed Charlie Kirk
The House of Representatives recently passed a resolution to honor the late Charlie Kirk—no thanks to 118 Democrats who voted against the measure, including Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jasmine Crockett, and more. Why did they snub Kirk, especially after the House unanimously passed a resolution commemorating the shooting of the Democrat speaker of the Minnesota State Legislature? Victor Davis Hanson breaks down how this refusal to honor a man who was just assassinated reflects a troubling shift in our politics where basic decency, civility, and bipartisanship are being replaced by ideological purity tests on today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “ If you listen to what Ilhan Omar said about him, that he was a racist and he was a racist every day of his life. And AOC said she was not going to honor him. And Jasmine Crockett said Caucasians, only two Caucasians—that was not true, by the way, as everything she says is almost not true. “What they're angry about was—what was Charlie Kirk? I said in an earlier video, he was very successful in channeling the natural rebelliousness of youth to focus against the establishment. He's saying to young people: The establishment are baby boomer leftists and these are the people who are responsible for a lot of our unhappiness. And that's why they're angry. And he was also angry at racialists, tribalists—like Jasmine Crockett, like AOC, like Ilhan Omar—who self-identify, essentially, by their skin color or appearance rather than incidentally.”

Victor Davis Hanson: Only in America Do We Blame Victims Like Iryna Zarutska
Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee, was not violently stabbed to death on a Charlotte light rail because she lacked “situational awareness.” We were told by many on the Left that we couldn’t blame the three to four bystanders who didn’t jump to her aid because it was only rational for them to worry about their own personal safety. As Americans, it is our duty to uphold the rule of law. Citizens and visitors to the U.S. should always expect a high degree of safety, argues Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” We in America are unwilling to recognize the unconformable truth that "we have a crime problem in the United States in the African-American inner city. Not in rural African-American communities. Not in African-American women. Not necessarily in African-American men over 40 or 50. But from 15 to 40, that demographic comprises about 3% of the country, and they're committing about 50% of the violent crimes, as we saw with Iryna. And yet, we didn't talk about it.”
The Left's 'Upside-Down Morality' Protects Killers, Leaves Americans Vulnerable - YouTube
Decarlos Brown Jr. Robin Westman. Audrey Hale. These are just a few names of killers that the Left rushed to defend while ignoring their victims. On today's episode of "Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words," Hanson discusses the growing trend of "upside-down morality," in which the Left and the media downplay violent crime, hide key facts, distort the narrative, and prioritize "understanding" criminals rather than defending the innocent. How does society reverse course on this dangerous rhetoric? “When Iryna [Zarutska] was killed on the light rail, there were three people right across the aisle. And when they saw her collapse and she was looking at—looking at the ceiling, thinking, ‘I’m dying because a man just killed me for no reason. No one is helping me,’ they each got up, solitarily walked right by her in her last gasp—did not offer a tourniquet, did not offer to help, did not call anybody. I don't know why they did that. “Maybe they thought if they did something like Daniel Penny and tried to intervene and save a life that they might be prosecuted or they might, who knows, or they were cowardly. But it's the same idea that we don't have any empathy for the victim, and if the victim doesn't fit a particular status that we call victim, the real victim of a physical act of violence or murder or assault, but if they don't fit a particular rubric as a victim that is based on their sexual orientation or their homeless status or their race, that we don't really care about them.”

Watch Turning Point USA event on the campus of Colorado State University after Charlie Kirk’s death
Colorado State University says 7,419 people were in attendance at a Turning Point USA event on the campus on Thursday. It was originally supposed to be an event that featured Charlie Kirk, but the conservative activist was shot and killed in Utah eight days ago during his campus tour. In the wake of the assassination, the group he helped create turned the event into a vigil for Kirk.

Victor Davis Hanson: Charlie Kirk’s Fight to Rescue a Generation From University Indoctrination
Universities have long been captured by liberal academics, and the fight for America's youth on campus at times feels hopeless. What made Charlie Kirk effective was that he did not run from that problem but ran head-on into it. Victor Davis Hanson explains this key aspect of Charlie Kirk’s legacy, emphasizing how his approach was effective, and what our job is now to carry on his mission in saving our country from the campus on today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “He did not go in the traditional academic pathway. He dropped out of college at 18. And he had to live by his wits, not in the artificial bubble of academia or the la-la land of the campus, where there are no consequences to behavior. … He learned to organize and galvanize people in a practical way. “And he said, ‘The universities are training generation after generation after generation in this seriously dangerous leftist dogma.’ In other words, if you're worried about this bizarre transgender movement, this cult-like effort to have biological men compete in women's sports, to take one example; or you're worried about the idea that you can steal $950 and not be prosecuted; or if you think that race is essential and not incidental to who you are—where did these things come from? And he said they came from the campus.”

Trump’s Marine One makes emergency landing
President Trump leaves UK after helicopter emergency landing | Air Force 1 | Marine 1
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were aboard Marine 1 when an emergency was declared; prompting the first couple to change to the decoy helicopter with the new callsign 'Marine 1.' For those of us at London Stansted Airport, we see Marine 1 landing without a decoy, and then Air Force 1 departing. There are also several motorcades that go where-ever they go, in case aircraft are grounded. The Boeing VC-25A is one of two heavily modified Boeing 747s used for transporting the president. Additionally, there are several Boeing C-32As used to transport the president, vice president, cabinet members and other VIPs; such as Marco Rubio, Secretary of State. They are all operated by the 89th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Andrews. Any US Air Force aircraft will take the callsign 'Air Force 1' if the president is on-board. 'Marine 1' was a VH-3D Sea King operated by the US Marine Corps' Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX-1) for transporting the Commander-In-Chief. The helicopter was supported by three CH-47 Chinooks of the US Army, a Wildcat AH1 of the British Army and a Eurocopter EC-135 of the National Police Air Service. The Presidential State Limousines and two armored Chevrolet Suburbans of the US Secret Service had been brought in case they needed to transport President Trump, should the aircraft be grounded. These were supported by several other specialist vehicles, security teams and police escorts; including the Electronic Countermeasures Vehicle Chevrolet Suburban 'Watchtower' and the Ford F550 Hazardous Agent Mitigation Medical Emergency Response 'HAMMER' vehicle. The President of the United States, and the First Lady, have been invited to stay at Windsor Castle with King Charles III and Queen Camilla on his second State Visit to the United Kingdom. He was last hosted by Queen Elizabeth II on his first State Visit in 2019. A large security entourage will accompany the president on his travels, utilizing multiple aircraft and motorcades.
