New York has run out of shelter space, which is why the city is going to creative lengths to find housing for the thousands of new arrivals that come here each week from the US border. But although local New Yorkers poll at 80% favorability regarding the city's housing laws for asylum seekers, the city has been unable to place shelters in many neighborhoods due to protests... which is why parks are being used instead.
