We are currently in a new dark age when it comes to medical research and nutrition research. Study design is compromised, researchers have conflicts of interest, negative findings are not published, and results often don't match the conclusions. Practicing doctors are then tasked with following Standard of Care that is based on the flawed research results which frustrates the doctor and exposes the patient to possible harm. Barbara Loe Fisher, Co-founder & President of the National Vaccine Information Center, sheds light on the history of the 42-year old vaccine safety and informed consent movement in the U.S., censorship and government accountability in her testimony part of a Feb. 26, 2024 roundtable discussion sponsored by U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, titled “Federal Health Agencies and the COVID Cartel: What Are They Hiding?” In her statement, Fisher talks about demonization and discrimination against parents and vaccine victims who have long been marginalized and silenced by vested interests within federal health agencies, pharmaceutical corporations, and mainstream media. She describes a systemic campaign aimed at suppressing freedom of thought, speech and conscience and hiding the truth surrounding vaccine risks and failures.

Thank you Senator Johnson for this opportunity to talk about how vaccine victims have been blamed, shamed and betrayed over the years by doctors and scientists paid by federal agencies and industries, and by some members of Congress working especially since 2019 with political operatives and corporate media to silence anyone who criticizes vaccine science, policy and law so the truth can be hidden, and public conversations about vaccine risks and failures can be shut down.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Today, everybody knows somebody who was healthy, got vaccinated and was never healthy again. Of all developed nations in the world, America has the worst infant and maternal mortality rates and is home to the most highly vaccinated, but the sickest and most disabled child and young adult populations.9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18

That inconvenient truth, that failing public health report card bankrupting our nation,19 is central to what we are talking about today.

Demonization of and discrimination against those who decline to get a government recommended vaccine—or talk publicly about how they or a loved one were injured or died after vaccination—has been going on since the 19th century.20 But what is happening in the 21st century in the name of disease control, national security and “the greater good” is escalation of an historic denial of vaccine risks and failures that has become a dangerous assault on freedom of thought, speech and conscience, and poses a grave threat to the biological integrity and natural rights of the people.21 22 23 24 25

It has been 44 years since my two year old son was brain injured by his fourth DPT shot, 26 and 42 years since I watched the Emmy award winning documentary DPT: Vaccine Roulette,27 and then joined with other parents of pertussis vaccine injured children to establish the charity known today as the National Vaccine Information Center at NVIC.org.28 29 Our mission is to prevent vaccine injuries and deaths through public education. We do not make vaccine use recommendations. We defend the ethical principle of informed consent to medical risk taking and the legal right for adults to make voluntary vaccine decisions for themselves and on behalf of their minor children without being coerced or punished for the decision made.30 31 32

I worked with parents and Congress to secure safety and informed consent provisions in the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986.33 It was an historic law, the first official acknowledgment by government that federally licensed and state mandated vaccines can and do injure and kill some children.

On Jan. 4, 2024, my eyewitness perspective on how and why child vaccine victims and their parents were betrayed after that law was passed 38 years ago was featured in a two-hour conversation I had with Del Bigtree on “The Highwire.”34 I encourage everyone to watch it and learn how parents trusted that the five years of work we put into that 1986 Act—to successfully secure life-saving informing, recording, reporting and research provisions; and to protect the legal right of vaccine victims to sue vaccine manufacturers for product design defect and to sue negligent doctors for medical malpractice; and to create an expedited, more just, less traumatic federal vaccine injury compensation system alternative to a lawsuit—were destroyed by congressional amendments,35 federal health agencies36 37 after the law was passed.

Following that betrayal of trust, Congress directed federal agencies to create lucrative public-private business partnerships38 with the pharmaceutical industry, a business deal that has broken America’s public health system. Legislation enacted in the 1990’s39 40 41 42 43and after Sept. 11, 200144 45 46 47 48 49 50 51 laid the groundwork for the rise of a public health empire, which is funded and operated by government and the wealthiest and most politically powerful individuals, corporations, and public and private institutions in the world.52 53 54 55 56 Now those operating that empire are threatening our legal right in this constitutional republic to exercise freedom of thought, speech and conscience.57

Past is prologue. The betrayal of the public trust during the COVID pandemic could not have happened if many of the leaders we elected had not long ago abandoned rational thinking, and succumbed to fear based propaganda tactics requiring us to give up the natural right to autonomy for an illusion of safety.58 59

On Feb. 26, 2024, Senator Ron Johnson held a public roundtable forum entitled “Federal Health Agencies and the COVID Cartel: What Are They Hiding?” in the Senate Russell Office Building on Capitol Hill that included testimony from 22 scientists, doctors, journalists, whistleblowers, parents of vaccine injured children and dissidents opposed to extreme COVID pandemic response policies. Among those testifying were NVIC’s Barbara Loe Fisher. Key themes that emerged during the four-hour hearing were: betrayal of the public trust by industry and government; psychological operations and propaganda tactics used to create fear that includes magnifying SARS-CoV-2 risks and hiding mRNA COVID shot risks; censorship of freedom of speech orchestrated by federal agencies and public-private partnerships; and lack of transparency and accountability by government and World Health Organization officials, who promoted draconian pandemic response policies, such as lockdowns and mandated use of COVID shots.

 

It Takes a Morally Confused World to Be Anti-Israel

The moral confusion of our time is therefore not new.

Almost 3,000 years ago, the Prophet Isaiah lamented, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

But at the start of the20th century, a new form of moral confusion was introduced. While there were always those who called good evil and evil good, shortly after Einstein discovered relativity in the natural order, Western civilization applied relativity to the moral order. As the late historian Paul Johnson wrote in “Modern Times”: “At the beginning of the 1920s the belief began to circulate, for the first time at a popular level, that there were no longer any absolutes: of time and space, of good and evil, of knowledge, above all of value” (italics added).

Until then, though often poorly applied or simply ignored, there was the belief in the West that moral truths exist. Then, as Johnson writes, “Mistakenly but perhaps inevitably, relativity became confused with relativism.”

Everything became relative — you have your values, I have mine; what I think (or more accurately, what I feel) is good is good, and what I think/feel is bad is bad. This is even true with regard to truth: As the increasingly popular saying goes, I have “my truth” and you have “your truth.”

Instead of good and evil, we now have a set of other “moral” categories: rich and poor, white and black, colonizers and colonized, strong and weak, oppressors and oppressed. Those in the latter groups — the poor, people of color, the colonized, the weak and the oppressed (real or alleged) — are, by definition, good, while those in the former categories are, by definition, bad. To cite one widely held example, blacks cannot be racist. I was taught that nonsense in graduate school in the 1970s, and it has become a truism among the well-educated.

This explains the widespread sympathy for the Palestinians and antipathy toward Israel.

In a morality-based world, Israel would be universally supported. But we don’t live in such a world; we live in the world of substitute-categories, and Israel falls into every one of the “bad” categories. Israel is perceived as rich, strong, white, a colonizer and an oppressor.

This is morally backward.

Israel is a modern liberal democracy. It has a robust free press, vibrant opposition and an independent judiciary. Two million Israelis — a fifth of the country’s population — are Arabs, who, in the words of the Council on Foreign Relations, “have the same legal rights as Jewish Israelis have.” They have their own political parties, with 10 seats in Israel’s parliament. Arabic, as any tourist to Israel sees, is, alongside Hebrew, Israel’s official language. There have even been Arab supreme court justices.

In fact, Arabs in Israel are, even now, considerably more pro-Israel than the New York Times, most Democrats and, of course, the United Nations. Reuters, which leans left, reported in November that “The Gaza war has dramatically increased the sense of solidarity with Israel among its 21% Arab minority.” And The Economist reported in mid-January, “Even as war rages in Gaza, Israel’s Arabs are feeling more Israeli … Two-thirds of Israeli Palestinians say they identified with their state, up from half before the war.”

Israel treats a vast number of Palestinians in its hospitals. During 2005 alone, approximately 123,000 Palestinians were treated at just one institution, Hadassah Hospital, in Jerusalem. Israel treated more than 4,000 victims of the Syrian Civil War in civilian hospitals at Israeli government expense.

Two weeks ago, the chair of Urban Warfare Studies at West Point, John Spencer, wrote in Newsweek that, during Israel’s war on Hamas, the country “has implemented more measures to prevent civilian casualties than any other military in history. … As someone who has served two tours in Iraq and studied urban warfare for over a decade, Israel has taken precautionary measures even the United States did not do during its recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Israel provided days and then weeks of warnings, as well as time for civilians to evacuate multiple cities in northern Gaza before starting the main air-ground attack of urban areas. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) employed their practice of calling and texting ahead of an air strike as well as roof-knocking, where they drop small munitions on the roof of a building notifying everyone to evacuate the building before a strike.

“No military has ever implemented any of these practices in war before,” Spencer concluded.

In contrast to decent, humane, democratic and moral Israel, Hamas, which is supported by the majority of Palestinians, is the moral equivalent of the Nazis. It routinely tortures Palestinian opponents of its tyrannical regime and is dedicated to the annihilation of Israel and its Jews. It takes pride in burning Jewish families alive and the sexual torture, rape and mutilation of Jewish women.

Regarding Hamas’ cruelty, Amnesty International reported in 2015 the case of Atta Najjar, a former police officer under the Palestinian Authority:

“[Najjar] was serving a 15-year prison term imposed by a military court after he was arrested in 2009 and subsequently convicted of ‘collaborating’ with Israel. On 22 August 2014, he was taken out from the prison and executed.

“There were marks of torture and bullet shots on his body. His arms and legs were broken … his body was as if you’d put it in a bag and smashed it. … His body was riddled with about 30 bullets. He had slaughter marks around his neck, marks of knives. … And from behind the head, there was no brain. Empty … It was difficult for us to carry him. … He was heavy, like when you put meat in a bag; no bones. His bones were smashed. They broke him in the prison,’ said his brother, who retrieved the body from al-Shifa hospital morgue on 22 August 2014.”

But Israel’s decency and Hamas’ cruelty mean nothing to much of the world, especially the Left, the universities and the media. Because who is good and who is evil doesn’t matter. Only who’s rich and who’s poor, who’s white and who’s black, who’s strong and who’s weak, who colonizes and who’s colonized, and who oppresses and who is oppressed.

Conservatives in nearly a dozen Western “red” states are fuming about this: Even when there’s a super-majority of Republicans in their state legislature, it’s difficult to pass common-sense pro-family bills that the Left opposes. It seems a lot of Republican legislators, especially in leadership, are covert liberals – and the voters have not paid sufficient attention. This phenomenon has even gotten national press.

It’s a particular problem in Wyoming, where the legislature has only 8 Democrats out of 93 members. Wyoming voters recently booted RINO Liz Cheney from Congress, but the State House is still full of traitors to the GOP.

What’s going on in the minds of these phony Republicans? Too many of them started out ideologically muddle-headed, and then bought into the leftist talking points. Unfortunately, not enough citizens confront that rubbish. But Wyoming MassResistance decided to step up!

Former GOP House Speaker attacks pro-family bills

Tom Lubnau is the former Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives in Wyoming. He was also the State Rep from Gillette, which is a solidly conservative area. Lubnau now occasionally writes columns for Cowboy State Daily, a popular right-leaning statewide news and commentary site.

Lubnau was (and still is, given his continued influence) part of the problem.  Earlier this month, he wrote an absurd column attacking the efforts by actual conservatives in the legislature to protect children from the lunatic LGBT agenda that is engulfing society.

Titled, “Legislating Private Parts Is Popular This Legislative Session,” it reflects the odious mentality of the RINO establishment. Lubnau bashed three much-needed pro-family bills that were before the legislature at that time (but unfortunately did not pass):

  • Bill HB 50 defined a man and a woman by their actual biology, not their so-called “gender identity.” It also defined “father” and “mother” and would have restricted use of women’s public restrooms and locker rooms to actual women. These clear definitions are necessary because the Left has forced its radical “gender” ideology into public spaces (and even public documents).
  • Bill HB 68 would have repealed the obscenity exemption for schools, libraries, etc. As everyone knows, depraved school and library officials are using this exemption to freely distribute horrible pornography to vulnerable children without the legal penalty that the rest of the general public faces.
  • And Bill 88 would have made it illegal to publicly display, exhibit, or post, etc. obscene material where others can easily see it. The text of the bill referred to physical spaces, not electronic communication.

Ridiculous leftist arguments

Lubnau made the preposterous claim that these bills are about “regulating private parts” and “people’s bedrooms.” He equated these bills to the anti-sodomy laws (which outlawed certain perverted private sexual acts) – even though all three bills were about obvious public issues.

Lubnau claimed that legally defining “mother” to be a “parent of the female sex” and “father” to be a parent of the male sex “seems strangely reminiscent of an Orwell novel.” He stupidly had it exactly backwards. Orwell wrote about government changing the language to support lies, not reinforcing our language to tell the truth!

To attempt to bolster his “private parts” argument, Lubnau brought up a “right to abortion” bill, HB76, which was sponsored by Democrats but had little chance of passage and had nothing to do with the others.

Wyoming MassResistance strikes back with a rebuttal

When this column came out, it certainly became a topic of conversation in Gillette!

Lubnau is a well-known GOP leadership figure writing in a major statewide conservative publication. The column was an embarrassment to the people in his district.

So our two Wyoming MassResistance chapter leaders in Gillette, Ed and Susan Sisti, wrote a rebuttal. Titled, “Legislating Public Consequences is Essential to Civil Society,” it was published in Cowboy State Daily last week. (For some reason it’s labeled a “Letter to the Editor” even though it’s the length of a normal op-ed article.)

Our Wyoming MassResistance chapter leaders didn’t pull any punches. They excoriated Lubnau for trafficking in “the weak arguments of corporate lobbyists and libertarian accommodationists.” In particular, they directly took on his absurd “private parts” reasoning:

People’s private lives used to be private, but now LGBT activists insist on making their private lives—and private parts—very public.

From the obscene books in public libraries, to the explicit curricula in public schools, to the very public displays of obscenity, depravity, and debauchery in PRIDE parades and festivals, Wyomingites (especially their children) cannot escape other people’s pushing their privates in public spaces.

And they concluded with:

The whole LGBT agenda has gone from the bedroom to the boardroom and is now invading the classroom.

If homosexuals and transgenders would have kept their privates private, there would have never been a need for the legislature to engage public debates to seek public consequences to stem the health, moral, and cultural collapse which has ensued.

Needless to say, the reaction from local conservatives has been overwhelmingly positive. People are thanking the Sistis and Wyoming MassResistance for stepping up and confronting the RINO mentality that has taken over their legislature – and telling the truth!

Final thoughts

Readers may recall our report several months ago on Idaho MassResistance parents confronting their RINO State Rep who voted against a bill to protect children in libraries. His “No” vote kept the bill from becoming law in Idaho! He tried to defend his vote using some leftist talking points he likely picked up in the State House, but the parents aren’t buying it at all. These legislators need to be directly challenged.

Beto O’Rourke Resurfaces to Back Hamas

Sure, you’re probably thinking “who”?

Didn’t Beto O’Rourke disappear after burning through $160 million to lose every possible race? Almost. Cockroaches are easier to get rid of than Beto who has one life skill and that’s running for political office. That makes him like a less successful Biden. But while Beto may not have won elections per se, he has mastered the skill of pandering to wealthy leftists. And currently, he decided to revive his chances of running for something by coming out for the Hamas side of things.

I wrote about Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s campaign to take the Michigan primary hostage to save Hamas.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is now the latest Michigan Muslim terror activist to urge Hamas supporters in the state to reject Biden in the primary by casting an “uncommitted” vote.

According to Rep. Tlaib, who became the only member of Congress to refuse to vote to condemn Hamas rapes of Jewish women, her goal is to “create a voting bloc” to stop Israel’s campaign to take down the Islamic terror group.

The campaign, misleadingly titled, “Listen to Michigan”, to pressure Biden into saving Hamas is being run by Layla Elabed, Rep. Tlaib’s sister and its spokesman is Abbas Alawieh, who had served as Rep. Tlaib’s legislative director and then as Rep. Cori Bush’s chief of staff.

Beto O’Rourke crawled out of his own tunnel to endorse the campaign with the Kamalaesque line, “I do think it makes sense for those who want to see this administration do more, or do a better job, to exert that political pressure and get the president’s attention and the attention of those on his campaign so that the United States does better.”

Then doing his usual bucktoothed hipster JFK shtick, compared it to “John Lewis leading that march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in March of 1965, almost being beaten to death in the process, and really galvanizing the conscience of the country.”

Supporting Islamic terrorists who murder Jews, marching for civil rights, who can tell the difference anyway?

Out: “Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15”. In: “Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15 and give it to Hamas.”

Beto decided to say this while pushing his (latest?) book, “We’ve Got to Try: How the Fight for Voting Rights Makes Everything Else Possible.”

It really could have had the snappier title of, “We’ve Got to Lose $160 Million, But How About I Simp for a Hamas False Flag Cause Too?”

Islamic Republic of Iran arrested at least 166 Christians for their faith last year

The Islamic Republic’s leaders are extremely nervous and aware of how precarious their position is. That’s why they arrest ordinary people who are no threat to them. Their aim is to terrorize their people into submission (cf. Qur’an 8:60).

“At Least 166 Christians Arrested in Iran Last Year for Their Faith,” Iran Wire, February 19, 2024:

Christian rights organizations have documented a significant increase in the number of arrests of Christians in Iran last year, raising concerns about religious freedom in the country.

According to Article 18’s annual report published on January 19, at least 166 Christians were arrested across the country in 2023, compared to 134 the previous year.

Arrests came in waves in 2023, with “just a handful reported prior to June, then over 100 within the next three months, before a further rash of arrests at Christmas,” says the report, which was released in collaboration with Open Doors, CSW and Middle East Concern.

“However, very few of those arrested agreed to publicise their cases, leading to an increasing number of faceless victims.”

“By the end of 2023, at least 17 of the Christians arrested during the summer had received prison sentences of between three months and five years, or non-custodial punishments such as fines, flogging, and in one case the community-service of digging graves,” the report says….

Report: Iran-backed Houthi terrorists hit underwater internet cables linking Europe and Asia

The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group has hit at least four undersea internet cables, impacting communications between Europe and Asia, Israeli news reports suggest. “Four underwater communications cables between Saudi Arabia and Djibouti have been struck out of commission in recent months, presumably as a result of attacks by Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi rebels,” the Jerusalem Post reported February 26.

Internet users in India and the Gulf states will be impacted most from the disruption. “Most of the immediate harm will be absorbed by the Gulf states and India,” the newspaper added.

The news of the attack on underwater cables comes as Houthi terrorists wage a “maritime jihad” against Israeli and Western-owned ships in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea. The missile and drone strikes on the international shipping were intensified after the October 7 massacre of innocent Israelis by Hamas, an Islamic terrorist group allied with the Houthis.

In January, the Biden administration placed the Houthis back on the terrorist list, finally bringing itself in line with the decision taken by President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, the Iranian proxy terrorist organization has mutated from a Yemen-based jihadist group to one with pan-Islamic ambitions.

“Houthis hit submarine communications cables,” by Assaf Gilead, Globes – Israel Business News, February 26, 2024:

Three months after the Houthis began attacking merchant ships, the Yemenite rebels have carried out another one of their threats. “Globes” has learned that four submarine communication cables have been damaged in the Red Sea between Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Djibouti in East Africa.

According to the reports, these are cables from the companies AAE-1, Seacom, EIG and TGN. This is causing serious disruption of Internet communications between Europe and Asia, with the main damage being felt in the Gulf countries and India.

Estimates are that the damage to communications activities is significant but not critical because other cables pass through the same region linking Asia, Africa and Europe that have not been hit. The repair of such a large number of underwater cables may take at least eight weeks according to estimates and involve exposure to risk from the Houthi terror organization. The telecommunications companies will be forced to look for companies that will agree to carry out the repair work and probably pay them a high risk premium.

EIG (European India Gateway) connects Southern Europe with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, the UAE and India. The underwater cable was laid by Tyco arm Alcatel-Lucent at a cost of $700 million and was the first cable stretching from the UK to India. Shares in EIG are held by a consortium including AT&T, Saudi Telecom, Verizon, and India’s Bharat Sanchar.

Major Media Wrongly Claims It Was Only Trump Administration That Declared Israeli Settlements Legal

Antony Blinken, on a trip to Argentina, has declared that the Israeli settlements are “contrary to international law.” Elder of Ziyon discusses this claim here beginning with how the major media have reported on Blinken’s describing the settlements as “contrary to international law.” What is of note is how the major media have wrongly claimed that it was only the Trump administration that declared the settlements to be legal. Blinken, in this view, was merely returning to the policy on settlements that all previous administrations had adhered to. That is not the case. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken’s reversal of Trump-era policy on settlements in the occupied West Bank reflects rising Biden administration frustration with Israel, but it is unlikely to dent the strong American backing for its ally’s military campaign in Gaza or pressure Israel to change course, analysts said on Saturday.

During a trip to Argentina on Friday, Mr. Blinken called the settlements “inconsistent with international law,” a break with policy set under the Trump administration and a return to the decades-long U.S. position.

This is not true.

While Jimmy Carter didn’t use the word “illegal” he did say they violated the Geneva Conventions, which is the same thing. His ambassador the the UN did call the settlements “illegal.” But that was the last time this terminology was used by any administration.

Ronald Reagan said when he was campaigning for President and in an interview two weeks after he took office that the settlements are not illegal. Later in his presidency, he said that settlements are an “obstacle to peace.

It is debatable whether Israeli settlements are, as Reagan said, “an obstacle of peace.” I would argue that those settlements solidify Israel’s hold on Judea and Samaria (a/k/a the West Bank), and in so doing, make it much harder for a possible assault by an Arab invasion force coming from the east, increasing Israel’s ability to deter enemies, and thus making war less likely.

George H.W. Bush was strongly against settlement construction but did not call them illegal.

Bill Clinton adopted Reagan’s phrase that they were an “obstacle to peace” but he was softer on  expansion of existing settlements.

George W. Bush called for a settlement freeze but did not characterize them as illegal or even an obstacle to peace.

Barack Obama and John Kerry hardened the US stance against settlement, calling them “illegitimate” but not using the word “illegal.” However, Kerry did say, ” “the Israeli Government’s program of establishing civilian settlements in the occupied territory is inconsistent with international law” which is essentially the same thing as calling their creation illegal, and that was the first administration to do so since Carter….

If you believe that the war that has been conducted since 1948 by Muslim Arabs against the Jewish state is a classic jihad, and on the Arab side must continue until Israel ceases to exist, to be replaced by a twenty-third Arab state from which all Jews will be expelled, then you will recognize the folly of a so-called “two-state solution ” (the use of the word “solution” assumes that it is that very thing; I beg to differ) that will only weaken Israel, undermine its strategy of deterrence, and whet rather than sate Arab appetites for conquest.

That the settlements are legal, given that they are established on the very territory that the League of Nations assigned to the Mandate for Palestine in July 1922, will be treated in another post. But remember only this: before the Biden administration, no President other than the antisemitic Jimmy Carter called Israel’s settlements “illegal.” Reagan stated unambiguously that they were “legal.” George H. W. Bush did not like the settlements, but never once did he describe them as “illegal.” Bill Clinton did not call them “illegal” either, though he believed, like Reagan, that some of them were an “obstacle to peace,” rather than a boost to Israel’s deterrence and thus to the only peace that is possible. George W. Bush hoped for a settlement freeze, but never said that the settlements were illegal or even that they were “an obstacle to peace.” Not surprisingly, in the Obama administration, so hostile toward Israel, Secretary of State Kerry did say that the settlements were “inconsistent with international law,” making him the first high official to say that since Jimmy Carter.

Now, instead of returning to a consensus that he appears to think has long been held, of viewing Israel’s settlements as illegal, the egregious Antony Blinken has instead resurrected a view that among past presidents was shared by only two — Carter and Obama, both deeply antagonistic to Israel. Now there is a third — Joe Biden, who will soon be mouthing the words that have just been spoken in Argentina by his ventriloquent handler, Antony Blinken.
