BREAKING: Ron Desantis DROPS OUT, Supports Donald Trump for President

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is ending his 2024 Republican presidential campaign after failing to overtake rival Donald Trump in polling or in the early vote. DeSantis made the announcement in a video posted to social media on Sunday with less than 48 hours until voting in New Hampshire's primary, the second state in the nominating race.

Dems Floating Desperate Deal on Ukraine and Border Security

Democrats are desperate to get funding for the war in Ukraine. But Republicans in the House have set their minds on getting a deal to address the border crisis before Biden gets his $61 billion for Ukraine. Senate Republicans have hammered out a deal with Democrats on border security that would have been seen as a smashing GOP victory a few short months ago.

Massive changes to asylum rules, severely limiting "immigration parole" and other changes long-desired by Republicans in Washington have been agreed to.

But House Republicans are insisting on Senate Democrats are passing H.R. 2 with no amendments. H.R. 2 is an immigration bill so toxic that even many Senate Republicans won't touch it.

But Senate Democrats are offering a deal to House Speaker Mike Johnson that's "unusual" to say the least. Johnson is between a rock and a hard place on the border and Ukraine's war funding. He has the leader of his party, Donald Trump, ordering him not to pass a border bill. Trump knows that Biden would take credit for it and remove one of the biggest impediments to his re-election.

But even if Johnson were to find a way to pass the border security bill, he would run up against the "cut-and-run" caucus on Ukraine's assistance. Radical Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is threatening to call for a vote to "vacate the chair" and have another round of votes on who should lead the House as speaker if Johnson tries to pass the Ukraine funding bill.

So Democrats have hit upon some sort of a solution. Several Democrats have said they will vote to protect Johnson's gavel if he brings the Ukraine funding/border bill to the floor.

Politico:

Several Democrats — including House Armed Services Committee ranking member Adam Smith (D-Wash.), House Homeland Security Committee ranking member Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and border Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas) — said yesterday that if Johnson puts the Senate deal on the floor, some in their party would likely step in to make sure he holds on as speaker.

“Our job is not to save Johnson, but I think it would be a mighty pity if he did the right thing … for us not to support him,” Thompson said. “Up to this point, he’s been a fairly honest broker.”

Yes, if Johnson tried that, he'd be boiled in oil by his own caucus. And his relationship with Donald Trump — the man likely to be the next president — would be ruined. 

What would the Democrats demand as ransom for their support? It really is a cockamamie idea. But the fact that some Democrats are seriously considering it is significant.

And what about the notion that the crisis at the border can wait until after Trump is sworn in? At the rate that people are arriving at the border, that would be almost 4 million more migrants in the United States by January 20, 2025. It would be shockingly irresponsible for Republicans to play politics with the issue when there's a reasonable solution at hand.

“I am looking for solutions now, not a year from now,” Texas border Rep. Tony Gonzales, a Republican, told Politico.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) was even more blunt, arguing that delaying progress for political purposes is, essentially, treasonous. 

“My question to those Republicans … is: How many hundreds of thousands of illegals would you allow in the country just because it might help your chances of the election?” he said. “I ran for Congress literally on getting the border secure. So if I have a chance to do that, and I don’t do that, I’m a traitor.”

But the leader has spoken.

“I do not think we should do a Border Deal at all, unless we get EVERYTHING needed to shut down the INVASION of Millions & Millions of people, many from parts unknown, into our once great, but soon to be great again, Country!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Also, I have no doubt that our wonderful Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, will only make a deal that is PERFECT ON THE BORDER,” Trump wrote. “Remember, without Strong Borders and Honest Elections, we don’t have a Country!!!”

The border is still as porous as ever. Ukraine still needs help or Russia will win. And Trump may or may not win the election in November. 

I Thought Biden’s Lies Couldn’t Shock Me Anymore. I Was Wrong.

Sure, Old Joe Biden is a liar, a practiced and accomplished liar who has told countless whoppers throughout his entire half-century (and counting) of fattening at the public trough. Still, the sheer audacity of his lies can leave his hearers gasping for breath at how completely bereft he appears to be of an ordinary human conscience. On Friday, the man who thinks he’s president demonstrated that he also seems to think he is in a world not only without the Internet, but without newspapers or human beings with memories.

Fox News made the momentous announcement: Old Joe “said he does not believe the border is secure, adding that it has been his stance for the past 10 years as he has continued to ask for money.”

Wait, what? Biden has been calling attention to the crisis at the border for ten years? In what universe? But that’s really what he said. It all happened when Fox’s White House correspondent, Jacqui Heinrich, asked the brazen kleptocrat about the House effort to impeach one of Biden’s chief henchmen, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Fox noted with impressive understatement that the Dementia-Patient-In-Chief “responded with a confused look."

Undeterred, Henrich then asked Biden if he thought the border was secure. This was an invitation for the corrupt old liar to echo his man Mayorkas himself, who got off a pretty sizable lie of his own in July 2022 when he said: “Look, the border is secure." We are working to make the border more secure. That has been a historic challenge.” 

Unexpectedly, however, Old Joe broke from his own regime’s line and answered: “No, it’s not.” As if that weren’t enough, he started piling it on, adding: “I haven’t believed it for the last 10 years. And I’ve said it for the last 10 years…give me the money.” 

Yes, that’s right. This is the man who proudly halted the construction of Trump’s border wall and oversaw an influx of illegal migrants into this country that is unprecedented in scope, and now he is posing as Cassandra who has been warning us about the crisis at the border for ten years, which would take us back to 2014.

Let’s see. Who was president of the United States in 2014? If Biden had his way, we wouldn’t quite be able to remember, but I believe it was a fellow who was fairly close to Old Joe. If my memory serves me well, Biden himself may have been involved in that administration. 

Of course, Biden didn’t mean it was Obama’s fault. He appears to be blaming those dastardly Republicans who have apparently spent a decade rejecting his requests for funding to secure the border. When Henrich asked him if his own disastrous regime’s policies had any share in the blame for the catastrophe at the border, he responded: “No, I’ve…I’ve asked for thousands more, of everything – from judges to…anyway.” He asked for money from judges. Sure, Joe. Have another ice cream cone.

Fox injected a note of reality into this surreal scene by noting that “sources with U.S. Customs and Border Protection told Fox News Digital that migrant encounters hit a staggering 300,000 incidents in December 2023, reaching a level though unimaginable just years ago. It is the highest total for a single month ever recorded and also the first time migrant encounters have exceeded 300,000.”

Now, is this because “judges,” no doubt appointed by Bad Orange Man, wouldn’t give Old Joe the funding he urgently requested for border security? No, it’s because the Biden regime clearly wanted the border open, and migrants to flood into the country. As Matt Margolis pointed out Sunday, “The White House has repeatedly sought to blame Republicans for the crisis that they don’t official recognize as a crisis, but confidential documents obtained by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) have pulled the curtain back on the border crisis, revealing that the historic influx of illegal immigrants is entirely by design.”

For socialist internationalists, the open border has no downside. Large numbers of people who don’t speak English will likely become dependents on the state, providing a ready excuse for ever higher taxes. Criminal migrants will help justify the left’s increasing authoritarianism. Meanwhile, the migrants will dilute the national character and lessen the percentage of people who think this should remain a free republic in which loyal dissent is a cherished aspect of freedom. 

Old Joe opened the border. It’s his crisis. He will keep lying, but while the facts are still allowed to be stated, there they are.

Netanyahu says ‘we’re attacking Iran directly,’ vows to ‘prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons’

A direct and open confrontation with Iran has been simmering as Israel’s war on Hamas continues. American officials have also stated what Netanyahu said, that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. Last June, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken also said that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nukes.

Iran has had a central role in Israel’s war with Hamas through its proxies: Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, as well as Hizballah and the Houthis.

Netanyahu is asked if he feels he has anything to apologize for regarding the events surrounding October 7. He says the way the question was framed is designed “to stain” him.

“Nobody is immune from mistakes, including me,” he says, but then again criticizes the reporter. “I’ll continue to fight Hamas, and you’ll continue to fight me,” he says. “That’s the division of work,” he says, between him and the TV studios.

In response to another reporter, who asks why Israel is sufficing with attacks on Iran’s proxies rather than attacking Iran directly, Netanyahu responds, “Who says we aren’t attacking Iran? We are attacking Iran.”

“Iran has further phases to go through that I won’t detail” on the path to nuclear weapons,” he says. “I am obligated as the prime minister of Israel to do everything to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons.”

Asked about the progress of the war, he says 16 or 17 of Hamas’s 24 battalions have been destroyed. “After that, there is the [phase] of clearing the territory [of remaining gunmen]. The first action is usually shorter, and the second usually takes longer.”

He derides the talk of holding elections at a time of war — with campaigns that would “divide the people rather than uniting the people… Are people seriously suggesting elections?”….

Evidence Mounts That the Government Planted Pipe Bombs at Capitol on January 6

If you were anywhere near the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, the federal government would have been able to figure that out. In fact, the Biden administration recently announced it wasn’t just going to limit its aggressive prosecution and denial of due process rights to those who entered the Capitol Building peacefully, but even those who stayed outside.

They know who they are, and anyone who supports Trump will be treated like a criminal, and so far more than 1,200 people have been arrested on one dubious charge or another, many of whom were tracked down from across the country.

Yet, with all the technology they have to identify any random person who was anywhere near the Capitol that day, one big mystery remains: who planted pipe bombs at RNC and DNC headquarters the day before?

They have surveillance footage of a suspect. And yet, three years later, the FBI has managed to track down every nonviolent observer and elderly grandmother who was in town that day, but not the suspect. The FBI’s handling of this particular aspect of their J6 investigation has been suspicious, to say the least, and the agency has failed to comply with requests from Congress for more information about it.

So, what gives? Well, according to Tucker Carlson, "It seems likely that government officials were involved in planting pipe bombs in Washington, D.C. three years ago, as part of an effort to keep Donald Trump from running for president again."

Carlson covered this with Darren Beattie of Revolver News in his latest episode of "Tucker Carlson Uncensored."

They discussed video showing a man approaching law enforcement outside the DNC building on Jan. 6, around 1:05 p.m. According to Beattie, the man was alerting the police about a pipe bomb nearby, emphasizing that Kamala Harris was expected to visit. The video shows that law enforcement was completely unconcerned, despite the fact that people, including children, are walking nearby.

“What the individual in the backpack is doing is alerting the Metro PD and the Secret Service of the fact that there is a pipe bomb just feet away that was planted by the park bench outside of the DNC,” Beattie told Tucker. “Now, for those watching this video — and everyone has to watch this video to follow along — the first thing that will strike you as remarkable is just how utterly unconcerned both the Metro PD and the Secret Service are about being informed that there was a pipe bomb, literally within feet of them and within feet of their protectee, who was VP-Elect Kamala Harris.”

“You’ll notice if you watch from approximately 107 to 109 in the timestamp. "Utterly lackadaisical, utterly unconcerned,” he continued. "It takes them minutes to even get out of their vehicles, at which point they’re just kind of lingering around, uninterested. Unconcerned.”

Beattie noted that this moment was “enough to be a national scandal and blow up in this investigation, with severity.”

He’s right. Why wasn’t the area cleared right away? Shouldn’t it have been discovered much earlier in a security sweep of the area because of Harris’s planned visit? According to Beattie, the bomb had to have been there for roughly 17 hours. Beattie also wondered why Harris hasn’t ever exploited this particular story.

“You would think that of all institutions, the DNC would be interested in covering the identity of the person — allegedly, this MAGA terrorist who planted an explosive device right outside of their national headquarters —  and yet they seem to be the least interested, all the way up to the fact that Kamala Harris, the vice president, has for some reason forgone the opportunity of milking politically the fact that she was at the DNC while the pipe bomb was there,” Beattie pointed out.

The person who alerted the Metro PD and Secret Service was also originally unidentified before being revealed as a plainclothes Capitol Police officer.

“The surveillance footage does not reveal anything consistent with the idea that there was some kind of commotion or aggressive search going on that could have plausibly led to the discovery of the DNC bomb after the RNC one was found. It was total nonchalance; nothing going on that would be consistent with that,” Beattie told Tucker. “And so if we don’t have this story that okay, the RNC one was discovered, and for some reason they assume there must be one at the DNC, which would be a bizarre leap of logic to begin with, but that we see that there was no concern, no commotion, no urgency whatsoever at the DNC. That leaves us with yet another remarkable coincidence that the DNC bomb just happened to be discovered within that narrow, 15-minute time frame of the discovery of the RNC bomb after sitting out there for 17 hours.”
