There seems to be no end to this age’s appetite for absurdity and Islamopandering.

“Decrying man who won’t work for Jews, New Jersey AG cites Islamophobia,” JNS, December 1, 2023:

In a statement denouncing a New Jersey man, who said that he would not work for Jews, the state’s attorney general and the director of its civil-rights division appeared to suggest that antisemitism requires Islamophobia and “other forms of bigotry” as a chaperone.

Matthew Platkin, the state’s chief prosecutor, and Sundeep Iyer, director of New Jersey’s civil-rights division, announced on Nov. 30 that the division issued a violation notice to Melquisedec Francis.

Francis stated on TaskRabbit and other platforms where people sell their services that “he would not provide services to Jewish patrons in at least three online communications in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination,” the state officials wrote. In one, Francis wrote, “I am currently not offering my services to the Jewish community.”

“There is no justification for denying services to members of the public based on antisemitism, Islamophobia or any other kind of discrimination,” Platkin stated. “We are committed to holding anyone who engages in discriminatory practices accountable.”

“As antisemitic and anti-Muslim acts of hate and bias continue to rise across our state, make no mistake: We will take enforcement action swiftly to ensure that the civil rights of all of our residents, including our Jewish and Muslim residents, are protected,” Iyer stated.

Nowhere else in the official state press release was there mention of any relevance of Islamophobia to the case of the man denying services to Jews.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Francis is a contractor in Paterson, N.J. In a post on the site, he claimed not to support Hamas nor Israel, and that he didn’t deny services to Jews.

“I was taken off the platform for saying that in order to protest the war in Gaza, and until the war in Gaza comes to a conclusion, I won’t confirm job requests from the Jewish community,” he said. He added that his being unemployed and with no means of self-subsistence “will change nothing about the atrocities of the world.”…

The Biden administration persistently refrains from addressing the reason for Israel’s war on Hamas, the goal of which is to obliterate the state of Israel, and the massacre of its citizens on October 7. This video gives insight into what Israel has suffered: see HERE. Warning: it’s disturbing. Blinken also neglects to mention Hamas’ use of human shields as he constantly draws attention to the collateral damage of war on Hamas.

The Biden administration participating in the gang-up against Israel at the worst possible time. Israel’s response to the horror of October 7 has now been twisted to make Israel appear to be the abuser and the Palestinians as the victims. As a result, ISIS-like Hamas is virtually off the hook. Blinken did not “appear to set down red lines that would trigger US actions.” But when might he do so? World War II, which was the “deadliest and most destructive war in human history, claimed between 40 and 50 million lives, displaced tens of millions of people, and cost more than $1 trillion to prosecute.” What would Blinken say about the civilian lives in that just war?

This escalating level of propaganda against Israel, whose citizens were victimized in the most sickening way, is a mystery revealed for those who couldn’t understand antisemitism and the warped mindset that led to the Holocaust.

Blinken said to warn war cabinet Israel may not have months to topple Hamas,” by Jacob Magid, Times of Israel, December 1, 2023:

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned Israel’s war cabinet on Thursday that it likely doesn’t have months to wage war against Hamas in Gaza, as domestic and international pressure mounts on US President Joe Biden’s administration to draw an end to the fighting, an Israeli official said.

The warning was one of several issued by the top US diplomat during his meeting with the war cabinet and in separate sit-downs with top officials. At a press conference, he also publicly cautioned Israel at considerable length against allowing the same scale of death and displacement in southern Gaza once fighting shifts there from northern Gaza….

During his press conference Thursday night recapping his meetings in Israel, the secretary said he told Israel’s leaders that they would need to change the way they are fighting.

“I underscored the imperative — for the United States — that the massive loss of civilian life and displacement of the scale that we saw in northern Gaza, not be repeated in the South,” Blinken said.

Blinken said he told Israeli leaders that the IDF must prepare for how it will keep civilians safe before resuming its military campaign, including setting up safe zones.

“I made clear that before Israel resumes major military operations, it must put in place humanitarian, civilian protection plans that minimize further casualties of innocent Palestinians,” he said. “That means taking more effective steps to protect the lives of civilians, including by clearly and precisely designating areas and places in southern and central Gaza where they can be safe and out of the line of fire.”

He also said Israel must avoid further mass displacement of Palestinians; avoid the targeting of “life-critical infrastructure like hospitals, like power stations, like water facilities”; and allow the eventual return of displaced Palestinians to northern Gaza. “There must be no enduring internal displacement,” he said….
