Their superiors remained in Gaza while they carried out these acts. One of the terrorists disclosed that those who brought hostages back to Gaza were promised $10,000 and an apartment. Their strategy involved seizing control of targeted towns and establishing a presence there after committing violent acts, which included killing and abducting local residents. The video includes accounts from Hamas operatives detailing their actions on the morning of October 7, with one mentioning, "The instructions were to kidnap women and children."
