Representative Matt Gaetz reportedly stated that he does not believe there is a legitimate effort being put into the impeachment inquiry towards President Joe Biden. 

Gaetz (R-Fla.) appeared in a Zoom invite-only fundraiser. Video from the event, which was obtained by NBC News, showed Gaetz giving his opinion on the impeachment inquiry on the 46th president. In the video, the Republican said that he does not “believe that we are endeavoring upon a legitimate impeachment of Joe Biden.”

“They’re trying to engage in a, like, ‘forever war’ of impeachment,” said Gaetz. “And like many of our forever wars, it will drag on forever and end in a bloody draw.”

During the fundraiser, Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) joined Gaetz in criticizing the Republicans’ impeachment investigation.

Rosendale compared Congress’ investigation into Biden to the federal indictment of the president’s son Hunter, which critics say was tainted by preferential treatment and is a “smokescreen” intended to divert attention away from more serious crimes Hunter Biden is accused of committing, such as working for foreign interests to influence United States policy. 

“I just don’t get the sense that it’s for the sake of impeachment. I think it’s for the sake of having another bad thing to say about Joe Biden,” Gaetz said.

This comes amid the race for who will be the next Speaker of the House after former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).

Gaetz’s and Rosendale’s words are expected to draw scrutiny as the speakership race heats up and conservative loyalties shift.

Filling the vacancy could lead to fights between conservative candidates.

Gaetz has already criticized the impeachment investigation. 

Gaetz and Rosendale have shown support for Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) in the speaker’s race. Additionally, 45th President Donald J. Trump has endorsed Jordan.

“Kevin wasn’t serious, Jim Jordan is.,”  Gaetz said.

During his regular morning presser on Friday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he does not think that the new border wall will even be built, adding that the Biden administration doesn’t even want to build it.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, Lopez Obrador called the wall “pure publicity.” That presser followed a Thursday visit by a delegation from the U.S. State Department, which was led by Antony Blinken. Lopez Obrador commented that the administration does not even want to build the new sections of the wall. He added that during the meeting, the Mexican delegation said it does not believe the migration problem will be solved with a wall, saying, “We’ve always spoken about tending to the root causes.”

Lopez Obrador has a point. In another story, the Free Beacon said that on Thursday, Biden stated that the administration is legally obligated to go through with the construction since the money for the project had been appropriated during the Trump administration and could not be used for anything else. Biden stated:

The money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get them to redirect that money. They didn’t. They wouldn’t, and in the meantime, there’s nothing under the law other than they have to use the money for what it was appropriated. I can’t stop that.

This stands in stark contrast to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ statement earlier in the week in which he said there was “an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries.” Of course, that statement stands in stark contrast to one he made in 2021 that he did not agree with building a wall.

Never one to pass up an opportunity for a good old-fashioned tantrum, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) vented her spleen on Thursday, calling the planned construction a “cruel policy.”

I know that the congresswoman objects to the wall on principle, but she should reconsider. It is after Labor Day, and she needs someplace where she can wear that white dress for photo ops.

What we are seeing here is a classic example of this administration’s disorganization. It may be conjecture, but I suspect that when Biden’s people learned that the funding situation was non-negotiable, they needed a way to spin it, hence Mayorkas’ alarmist language. The administration may have thought that this was an opportunity to woo voters who are wary or angry about the president and his record, with the bonus of being able to tweak Trump by completing something he did not.

Then the wall would not be completed, and the blame would fall on Republican obstructionists. But someone, somewhere, realized that renewed construction would infuriate much of the base, although Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-N.Y.) may have privately gotten her hopes up. And so tactics were switched, gears were ground, and the message was reversed.

And no matter what, the wall will not be built.

Of course, this new round of meetings again included much discussion about the globalist-supported NGO’s who are railing against any pushback, as they encourage and continue to transport illegal economic migrants who illegally enter EU member states.

Note the reference below to “concerns” about “increasing the risk of sending migrants back to perilous situations.” So to NGOs and EU globalists who support them, the answer is for Western countries, which are struggling now, simply to absorb what could end up being the entire populations of Middle Eastern and African countries. EU globalists, along with the UN, are in the process of erasing Western nations and Western identity, and along with them, the history of what it took to build Western nations.

The meeting was yet another déjà vu, as the EU goes around in circles, trying every which way to implement the original, disastrous UN migration pact, which failed to garner support for good reasons. In June, the EU was said to have reached a deal on “more equitable refugee hosting.”  It really meant the return of migration quotas dictated by EU globalists. Poland and Hungary flatly refused, so the EU is once again twisting the arm of all recalcitrant EU members until they accept the core of the UN migration pact: open-door migration under the instruction of the UN.

Meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has again declared, in a tweet, that his country “will not become a migrant ghetto”:

EU member states on Wednesday (Oct 4) reached the preliminary agreement on establishing common rules to tackle a massive influx of asylum seekers. According to experts, this is a major element of the European Union’s migration reforms.

Ambassadors of EU nations gathered in Brussels to chalk out the draft text and gain a wider consensus after a political impasse between Germany and Italy derailed the negotiations last week.

“Deal! EU Ambassadors have reached an agreement on the regulation addressing situations of crisis and force majeure in the field of migration and asylum,” the Spanish presidency said on X.

Earlier, Italy opposed a part of the draft text that allowed NGO vessels, backed by Germany, to carry out ‘humanitarian efforts’ to search-and-rescue migrants in the Mediterranean Sea.

Germany defended the operations of NGO vessels, arguing that saving lives at sea is a legal, humanitarian and moral duty. On the other hand, Italy maintained that this encouraged more migrants to embark on the perilous journey.

Italian officials had previously criticised the German government for providing state funding to these NGOs…..

Details about the draft Crisis Regulation
The proposed Crisis Regulation outlines rules that would be implemented during exceptional circumstances, such as the 2015-2016 migration crisis, when the European Union’s asylum system faced a sudden and large influx of migrants.

To manage this unexpected situation, member states could employ stricter measures, like prolonged border stays for asylum seekers during the examination of their asylum pleas….

Concerns raised by NGOs suggest that these exceptions could lead to significant confinement, potentially diminishing the quality of asylum procedures and increasing the risk of sending migrants back to perilous situations….

Happy Thursday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Despite everything Clement said, Aredelia knew that perseverance would make her “Frito Pie and Poodle Shaving” dream a reality.

The mainstream media would rather have us discussing Matt Gaetz and the Republican, um, situation in the House of Representatives all day for the next week or two. If we’re being honest here, Matt Gaetz would too. He gets a twitch if he’s out of the spotlight for too long.

Alas, the Democrats are still out there and up to things far more detrimental to the continued existence of the Republic than a little infighting among House Republicans. They’ve gotten to fly under the radar for almost a week, so it’s probably time to see what they’re up to.

It’s been some time since we discussed the FBI here at the Briefing. I occasionally wonder if I’m too eager when calling them out. One never knows what might set off Biden’s Bureau these days.

I’m kidding. We totally know what sets them off: any American who doesn’t vote Democrat.

That’s right, Public Enemy Number One for Joe Biden’s door-battering FBI thugs is still the Generic Trump Voter. Matt has the latest from the Dystopian States of America:

As if it wasn’t bad enough that the Biden administration was abusing the justice system to target Donald Trump, now it’s using the Federal Bureau of Investigation to track and counter supporters of Donald Trump. That’s according to a bombshell report that Newsweek published on Wednesday.

“The federal government believes that the threat of violence and major civil disturbances around the 2024 U.S. presidential election is so great that it has quietly created a new category of extremists that it seeks to track and counter: Donald Trump’s army of MAGA followers,” the outlet reports. “The challenge for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the primary federal agency charged with law enforcement, is to pursue and prevent what it calls domestic terrorism without direct reference to political parties or affiliations — even though the vast majority of its current ‘anti-government’ investigations are of Trump supporters, according to classified data obtained by Newsweek.”

Since the Republicans took over the House in January, FBI Director Christopher Wray and his boss, Merrick “Biden Capo” Garland, have been summoned to Capitol Hill on numerous occasions to answer for their un-American antics. Both have repeatedly insisted that they aren’t politically biased in their approach to law enforcement. We all know they’re lying, of course.

Because our institutions are garbage now and nothing matters anymore, the FBI isn’t even bothering to hide the fact that its bosses are full of it.

The FBI may have officially designated MAGA devotees a domestic terror threat only recently, but they’ve been unofficially doing that ever since the commie cabal running Joe Biden’s brain came to power.

During his first sham impeachment, then-President Trump tweeted a poster of himself that said, “In reality, they’re not after me, they’re after you. I’m just in the way.” He’s never been more correct about anything.

Forget bringing back COVID. The FBI is going to make up reasons to harass, intimidate, and even arrest anyone who professes that they are going to vote for Trump, no matter how tepid their support may be. This isn’t really just about the MAGA faithful; it’s about any Republican, Independent, or moderate Democrat who wants to get this Constitution-hating regime out of Washington.

If Trump isn’t the nominee, the FBI will have no trouble at all declaring that anyone supporting a different nominee is a domestic terrorist.

Now that we have to worry about voting freely, the country’s transition to a hideous Third World banana republic is complete. We would have been better off if Biden hadn’t mentally checked out and actually ran his own presidency because it feels more and more as if some Soviet leftovers are running things in his stead.

In June, the Supreme Court ruled that Joe Biden did not have the constitutional authority to unilaterally cancel student debt. Biden had originally unveiled his student loan “forgiveness” plan in August of last year, mere months before the midterm elections.

But that has never stopped him from doing it. Since then, he’s used loopholes to gradually cancel the debt of borrowers using existing programs—a move he made again on Wednesday, canceling the debt of 125,000 borrowers, costing taxpayers $9 billion.

“President Biden has long believed that college should be a ticket to the middle class, not a burden that weighs on families,” the White House said in a statement. “That’s why from day one, his Administration has taken unprecedented steps to fix the broken student loan system, make college more affordable, and bring the promise of higher education in reach for more Americans.”

Despite the Supreme Court ruling, the Biden administration has canceled $127 billion in student debt for 3.6 million borrowers.

Joe Biden has been railing against the alleged “threat to democracy” posed by Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, yet he’s repeatedly defied the Supreme Court in order to essentially bribe Americans by canceling their student debt. To achieve this latest debt cancelation, the Biden administration made changes to income-driven repayment (IDR) and Public Service Loan Forgiveness, along with the cancelation of debt for borrowers with total and permanent disabilities.

“This is part of a pattern of the Biden administration illegally acting without congressional approval, costing the American people hundreds of billions of dollars,” Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), the top Republican on the Senate Health and Education Committee, told the Wall Street Journal.

The United States’ national debt is over $33.4 trillion.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin blasted the move.

“This is an impeachable offense,” he wrote on X. “Why? Biden lost the case in the Supreme Court, which ruled he does not have the constitutional authority to make unilateral spending decisions like this. It’s called separation of powers. Congress was granted the sole power of over-borrowing, spending, and taxes. A president cannot seize this power from Congress  But that’s exactly what Biden is doing.”

Levin also lamented that Biden’s defiance of the Supreme Court and recklessness with taxpayer dollars won’t get the attention it deserves.

“Unfortunately, this will receive no attention in the popular corporate media, not only because they support Biden’s authoritarianism, but the endless headlines and discussion is now about Gaetz and the House GOP disorder,” he said.

With the ongoing border crisis, the Biden administration is following the footsteps of the Trump administration.

On Wednesday, the White House announced it waived 26 federal laws to permit more border wall construction in southern Texas, marking the first move by the administration’s executive power to follow Donald Trump’s presidency.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) made the announcement on the United States Federal Registry outlining the construction in Starr County, Texas, which is where Border Patrol agents are seeing “high illegal entry.”

“There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in the notice.

The Clean Air Act, Endangered Species Act, and Safe Drinking Water Act were some of the federal laws waived by the DHS to allow construction at the southern border. The funds will be used from a congressional appropriation in 2019 for border wall construction.

Federal customs and border protection officials announced the project in June and began listening to public comments in August showing maps of additional construction up to 20 miles long. Starr County Judge Eloy Vera said it would start south of the Falcon Dam and run past Salineno, Texas.

However, environmental advocates claim that the border construction will run through public lands, and habitats of endangered plants and species.

“A plan to build a wall through will bulldoze an impermeable barrier straight through the heart of that habitat,” Laiken Jordahl, a south-west conservation advocate for the Center for Biological Diversity, said on Wednesday afternoon. “It will stop wildlife migrations dead in their tracks. It will destroy a huge amount of wildlife refuge land. And it’s a horrific step backwards for the borderlands.”

During the Trump administration, almost 450 miles of barriers were built along the southwest border between 2017 and January 2021. Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas), renewed the construction after the Biden administration stopped it at the start of Joe Biden’s presidency.

The decision by the Biden administration contradicts their previous statement to end the construction of the border wall. On January 20, 2021 the Biden administration stated “building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution.”

The latest announcement is causing an uproar from Democrats who oppose the move by the Biden administration.

“A border wall is a 14th-century solution to a 21st-century problem,” Texas congressman Henry Cuellar said in a statement. He added: “It will not bolster border security in Starr county.

“I continue to stand against the wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars on an ineffective border wall.”
