Lawsuit Against Pharmacies That Refused to Fill Ivermectin Prescriptions Tossed Out

As my colleague, Kevin Downey, Jr., reported last week at PJ Media, the FDA quietly performed an astonishing about-face regarding its position on ivermectin, declaring doctors can now prescribe it for the treatment of COVID-19.

(Certainly, the demonization of ivermectin following the COVID-19 “vaccines” hitting market had nothing to do with the fact that the COVID-19 emergency use authorization required that there be no other effective treatments available. That would be a “conspiracy theory” – evil and wrong.)

This is quite a dramatic divergence from the FDA’s previous position, the lie that ivermectin is a “horse medicine.”

I have previously chronicled elsewhere the various lies perpetrated by the corporate state media and Public Health™ authorities over the past several years against ivermectin, as it might have competed with Pfizer and Moderna’s mRNA shots’ uptake in the general population. After all, no one in their right mind would gamble with an unproven, experimental treatment using novel technology when an actual safe and effective (not to mention cheap) prophylactic measure was available to them.

This week, a federal court in Missouri threw out a lawsuit filed on behalf of COVID-19 patients against pharmacies that refused to fill ivermectin prescriptions legally written by their doctors.

Via KIMT3 News (emphasis added):

A federal appeals court has sided with pharmacies in Albert Lea that refused to fill prescriptions for medications that would be used to treat COVID-19.

Court documents state that in 2021, William and Karla Salier had gotten prescriptions from a doctor in Missouri for ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine to treat their infection with COVID-19.  William Salier had become seriously ill from the virus.  Pharmacists at Walmart and Hy-Vee refused to fill those prescriptions.  Karla Salier says the Walmart pharmacist rudely lectured her about the dangers of treating COVID-19 with ivermectin and the Hy-Vee pharmacist said it was against corporate policy to prescribe the drugs for COVID-19.

William and Karla Salier obtained and used a veterinary version of ivermectin meant for horses and other large animals and quickly recovered. The Saliers then sued Walmart and Hy-vee for violating their “common-law right to self-determination.”

A district court dismissed the Salier’s lawsuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit has done the same.  It ruled that Minnesota law allows pharmacists to exercise independent judgment in filling prescriptions and notes that “the FDA and every government agency and major medical authority addressing the issued had denounced and recommended against using ivermectin to treat COVID-19,” and the FDA had revoked its initial emergency-use authorization to use hydroxychloroquine to treat patients hospitalized with COVID-19.

One question remains: how many people suffering from COVID-19 and desperate for help, whose stories may never surface inside of a courtroom, were denied their legal ivermectin prescriptions, went home, and died quietly so they could become another statistic to use to propagandize the public into catatonic fear?

It’s certainly, it appears the court agrees, within any pharmacy’s purview to deny therapeutic medication with a decades-long history of safe use to its customers, but let’s make sure the public knows who’s doing it: Walmart and Hyvee.

As Iran is an Islamic republic, it considers conversion away from Islam to be an act of rebellion against the state and prosecutes the people who dare to convert accordingly.

“Iran targets minorities one year after Mahsa Amini’s death, 69 Christians arrested,” AsiaNews, August 11, 2023 (thanks to Tom):

Tehran (AsiaNews) – Iran arrested scores of Christians, mostly converts from Islam but also some Assyrian-Chaldeans baptised as children, over a seven-week period in June and July in 11 different cities of the country, this according to Article18, a human rights organisation that advocates on behalf of Iranian Christians and religious freedom.

In an early report, the NGO had reported 50 arrests by mid-July in five cities, but its latest update indicates that at least 69 people were taken into custody, 10 of which – four men and six women – are still held by the authorities.

The arrests occurred between 1 June and 17 July in the following cities: Tehran, Karaj, Rasht, Orumiyeh, Aligoudarz, Isfahan, Shiraz, Semnan, Garmsar, Varamin, and Eslamshahr.

In the capital Tehran and the other cities, after their arrest, people were forced to sign statements pledging to refrain from Christian activities or undergo Islamic re-education in order to be released.

Some say that after their release they were summoned for further questioning, or were ordered to leave Iran. One said he lost his job at the request of intelligence agents. For those granted bail, families had to pay between US$ 8,000 and US$ 40,000.

The majority of those arrested are converts from Islam, but at least two are Iranian-Armenians, who were born into Christian families….

The wave of arrests among Christians also coincides with a new crackdown on Iran’s Baha’i community, which, along with Christian converts, is a minority religious group not recognised by the Islamic Republic….

Biden Administration Auctioning Off Unused Border Wall Parts

Biden Administration Auctioning Off Unused Border Wall Parts

The sun sets behind a gap along the border wall at the Morelos Dam between the US and Mexico in Yuma, Arizona on May 31, 2022. - The stream of impoverished humans flowing into the United States via Mexico runs through the country's public discourse, dividing its politics and coloring relations with nations to the south. The issue of migration is set to loom large at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles this week, even without the presence of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who is boycoting the meet in protest at the exclusion of Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba. The Biden administration has been selling away parts that were made and intended to be used to extend the southern border wall.

According to The New York Post, the unused parts of the border wall that the Biden administration has been quietly auctioning off are worth millions of dollars. Since April, GovPlanet, an online auction house that specializes in military surplus has sold over 80 lots of “square structural tubes.”

The parts that have been sold were intended to be used as vertical bollards in the border wall along the southern border. So far, the auction house has brought in around $2 million from the parts that have been sold.

The move by the Biden administration comes as the Senate passed a Republican-sponsored bill as part of its annual defense appropriation package which is aimed at forcing the president to stem the worsening migrant crisis at the southern border.

The Finish It Act would force the administration to extend the border wall or send the unused material to border states, such as Texas, so they can put them to use along their southern borders.

Republicans have claimed that since President Joe Biden took office, around $300 million worth of taxpayer-funded wall parts have been left unused.

The bill’s sponsor, Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) denounced the decision by the administration to auction the parts away labeling it as “outrageous, behind-the-scenes maneuvering.”

“This sale is a wasteful and ludicrous decision by the Biden administration that only serves as further proof they have no shame,” Wicker told The New York Post.

The GovPlanet website reportedly increased its sales efforts in May when the bill was first introduced, and again just days after the bill passed on a bipartisan vote.

An anonymous source from the auction website told the Daily Upside, a financial newsletter, that they are under instruction to not speak on the issue.

“We are legally not allowed to mention these are the border wall materials, or we could lose our jobs,” the source told the financial newsletter.

In 2021, the Biden administration was criticized for spending around $2 billion on storage costs and termination fees as he tried to cancel the contracts for the border wall that were agreed to under President Donald Trump.

Trump had spent around $15 billion during his presidency to install a total of around 700 miles of border wall after he promised to build “an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful southern border wall.”

On Biden’s first day in office, he canceled the project calling it “a waste of money.”

As the border wall was canceled, illegal immigrants surged across the open border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection documented around 1.7 million migrant encounters along the southern border in fiscal year 2021 and around 2.4 million in 2022.

All the proceeds that GovPlanet receives from auctioning off the border wall parts will be heading back toward the Pentagon’s budget.
