The news out of Uganda Saturday was horrifying. The Associated Press reported that authorities in that country had “recovered the bodies of 41 people, including 38 students, who were burned, shot or hacked to death after suspected rebels attacked a secondary school near the border with Congo.” The rebels were members of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), which despite its name is actually an Islamic group with ties to the Islamic State (ISIS) and aspirations of establishing a caliphate in Central and East Africa. While the world’s attention has been focused on Ukraine, climate and COVID hysteria, and the alleged crimes of Donald Trump, the global jihad, which most Americans regard as a relic from 2001, has been newly resurgent in Africa.

The massacre, according to AP, took place at Lhubiriha Secondary School in the town of Mpondwe, which is near the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The ADF, says AP, “has been launching attacks for years from bases in volatile eastern Congo.” Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Mayor Selevest Mapoze “said that some of the students suffered fatal burns when the rebels set fire to a dormitory and others were shot or hacked with machetes.” By the time soldiers arrived on the scene, the entire school was ablaze and there were “dead bodies of students lying in the compound,” according to Ugandan military spokesman Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye.

Uganda’s New Vision reported Saturday that only three students survived the attack. One of them, a young man named Mumbere Bright, recounted that “the rebels immediately shot dead the student who was at the entrance after entering the dormitory.” He added, “The rebels asked for Muslims among the students, but there were none. The rebels said they do not kill fellow believers.” After that, “they slaughtered every student in their sight using pangas, axes, and sharp objects.”

The fact that the rebels hoped to separate Muslims from the other students before beginning their massacre is noteworthy. The Qur’an forbids Muslims to kill fellow Muslims (4:92); regarding non-Muslims, however, it repeats the injunction to “kill them wherever you find them” (2:191, 4:89, cf. 9:5), although subjugating them under Islamic rule is also offered as an option (9:29). There have been many instances in which jihadis separated Muslims from a crowd before killing the non-Muslims. Even in the U.S., a jihad terrorist in Minnesota in 2016 asked mall shoppers if they were Muslim and then stabbed non-Muslims.

Similarly, in April 2022 in Nigeria, jihadis stormed a brothel, telling people to recite the Qur’an, and murdering ten people who could not do. Also in Nigeria, in January 2022, a man recounted that Fulani jihadis stopped him and started beating him. Then they asked him if he was Muslim or Christian; when he said he was Christian, they intensified the beating. In Burkina Faso in November 2021, jihadis asked villagers if they were Christian or Muslim, then killed the Christians. In Mozambique in June 2021, jihadis hunted for Christians door-to-door. In the Philippines in February 2019, jihadis murdered a man for failing to recite Qur’an verses, while releasing six others who could recite them.

In Mali in 2015, jihadis screaming “Allahu akbar” took hostages, freeing those who could recite the Qur’an. In September 2013 at Nairobi’s Westgate Mall, jihadis murdered people who couldn’t answer questions about Islam. In June 2014, jihadis murdered people who could not pass an Islam quizIn a Bangladeshi restaurant in July 2016, jihadis spared those who could recite from the Qur’an. In July 2017 in Kenya, jihadis asked their captives to “recite Islamic dogmas” and murdered those who couldn’t do so. In May 2018 in Belgium, a jihadi who murdered four people told a hostage that he wouldn’t harm her since she was Muslim and was observing the Ramadan fast. In September 2018 in Kenya, jihadis murdered two non-Muslims for failing to recite the Qur’an.

It is noteworthy that so many of those incidents took place in Africa. If the jihadis succeed in attaining their goals, Christians and other non-Muslims all over the continent will be forced into a humiliating inferior status featuring all manner of institutionalized discrimination. The second-class status prescribed for non-Muslims under Islamic law makes Merrick Garland’s two-tier justice system look like Blind Justice personified.

Now we see the same phenomenon of Islamic supremacism and jihad violence in Uganda. Meanwhile, jihadis strike virtually every day in Nigeria, and are active in Somalia, Mozambique, and elsewhere in Africa as well. The governments of the various states in which the jihadis operate seem unable (or, in Nigeria’s case, unwilling) to stop them. It could be that a distracted world could someday soon find to its horror that ISIS, a group that most people thought had been stamped out years ago, has established a new caliphate comprising much of Africa. This would give a whole new piquancy to the mass migration of young African men into Europe, and have far-reaching geopolitical implications. But hey, let’s not forget the really important stuff about these jihadis: what are their pronouns?

Space Force general ripped for ‘ridiculous’ woke comments

'Outnumbered' panelists react to Space Force Lt. Gen. Deanna Burt's admission that she may be "compelled" to consider less-qualified candidates due to states' anti-LGBT laws.

Burt said the rising number of anti-LGBTQ+ laws “demonstrates a trend that could be dangerous for service members, their families, and the readiness of the force as a whole.”

Lt. Gen. DeAnna Burt said anti-LGBTQ state laws sometimes forced her to choose 'less qualified' candidates for postings in those states

Lt. Gen. DeAnna M. Burt is the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Operations, Cyber, and Nuclear, United States Space Force. She was nominated for promotion to major general on May 4, 2020, and confirmed in the rank by the United States Senate seventeen days later. Burt is the first woman to hold the rank of major general in the U.S. Space Force. She previously served as the commander of Combined Force Space Component Command and vice commander of Space Operations Command from 2020 to 2022. Burt entered the United States Air Force in 1991 as a distinguished graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Her career has included numerous satellite operations and staff positions in Air Force Space Command and United States European Command. In June 2023, Burt gave a scathing speech at the Pentagon's Pride event, calling out "anti-LGBTQ+" state laws, saying such legislation occasionally prevents her from picking the most qualified job candidates. She also hinted at the reason behind the delay in moving Space Command headquarters to Huntsville, stating that the selection of the new home for Space Command cannot be based solely on a city or state's top-ranked qualifications.

Protesters shut down Dodger Stadium on Pride Night

The Dodgers and Drag ‘Nuns’~Blasphemy in the stadium.

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

It’s ironic in a way that the drag-satirical group, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, founded in Iowa City before establishing itself in San Francisco in 1979, came into existence after the religious habit revolution in the Catholic Church had essentially stripped the common Catholic sisters, sans contemplative orders, of their time-honored uniforms.

Those uniforms, as varied and rich as a fireworks display on the 4th of July, never failed to impress the secular world. Yet by 1979, many Catholic nuns were indistinguishable from other women in the street. While some orders of nuns went through a series of modified habits before ditching the habit altogether—think truncated veils with matching skirt and tops that made them resemble parochial school students—most of the big religious orders went whole hog into secular fashion.

How to figure out who was a nun and who was not? Well, you might look for a miniature cross-pin, but a cross-pin that doesn’t flaunt the ‘Jesus thing’ in a big way.

Nuns, at one point in American Catholic life, were the pit bull guardians of everything Catholic: faith, morals, you name it. Many were over the top and abused their authority (ear twisting, ruler beatings, etc.) but at least you knew they weren’t heretics. Those days are gone.

Today, many of the most public nuns are guardians of social justice causes commonly associated with the Left.

Enter the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (OPI), a confusing drag group that has run the gamut from committing sacrilegious acts to performing serious works of charity.

The group is not composed of “thrown together” members but is modeled on “real” Catholic religious orders. Prospective members must be serious about a lifetime commitment. Candidates go through postulant and novitiate stages and then are voted in or out by members of the community. There are OPI houses of drag nuns in Canada, Australia, Europe and South America.

OPI religious habits are hyper-absurdist concoctions that bear little resemblance to what traditional Catholic nuns wear today. Given that the group was founded as a performance organization whose mission is to satirize issues of sex and gender—OPI was not founded as a charity organization. They must by necessity be a clownish and follow a “theology” of buffoonery.

From a “gay rights” historical perspective, OPI has always been a fringe group that interested primarily Catholic and ex-Catholic gay men who were still trying to “process” their homosexuality. OPI was called “a Catholic thing” that had little resonance with non-Catholic (gay) activists. True scandalous behavior and revolutionary “punch” was reserved for the infamous San Francisco group, The Cockettes, who were irreverent drag queens extraordinaire that filmmaker John Waters once called “hippie acid freak drag queens.”

In 2011, gay conservative writer Andrew Sullivan, a Catholic, criticized OPI for hosting a “Hunky Jesus” contest. He also said that the group was composed of “smug liberal bigots.”

“I am a First Amendment absolutist….And I’m also a solid defender of the right to blasphemy,” Sullivan said. “But there are smart ways of doing this, ways that illuminate broader issues—think of ‘The Book of Mormon’ or any South Park episode….You want to grow some balls? Hold a Hunky Mohammed Contest on Ramadan…”

Sullivan got a lot of flak for that comment. OPI told him,

“Rail against the supposed grief we cause believers and wrap yourself in self-righteous anger if it makes you feel good—it’s your shtick and in these tough times I know you need a paycheck…..Our fervent prayer for you is that next year we might see you in Dolores Park, lounging on a big pink blanket, wearing a fabulous Easter bonnet, pounding back dome Dom and laughing as a new line of Hunky Jesii parade before you. Until then, go and sin some more.”

During Pope John Paul II’s visit to San Francisco in 1987, OPI preformed a public “exorcism” of the Pope while a number of demonstrators held signs that read, “Pope go Home” and “Nazi Pope.”

The New York Times reported,

“The Pope’s visit to San Francisco was the most problematic so far of his American tour. The demonstrators—homosexuals, feminists and some Jews – gathered about 2,000 strong behind metal barricades near the 196-year-old mission to protest the Pope’s conservative theology and social agenda.”

Meanwhile, The San Francisco Chronicle ran the following headline: “Pope Tells AIDS Sufferers They Have God’s Love.”

In older pictures of OPI from the early 1980s, one notices a far more serious intent on the part of the “Sisters” to mock the piety of Catholic saints in ecstasy, either while gazing upward or at a crucifix. The habits worn by OPI at that time then (mostly all black) were more in alignment with the habits of nuns prior to the Second Vatican Council.

The LA Dodgers’ decision to award OPI with its so-called Community Hero Award on June 16th has garnered the support of a number of progressive (real) Catholic nuns, or the nuns with little cross-pins who ditched their habits for secular dress. These nuns are referred to by Traditional Catholics as ‘Hippie-Dippy’ nuns from the 1960s, the folksong/Mass nuns whose religious orders are dying out because young women who want to become nuns today are joining the traditionalist orders.

A recent National Catholic Reporter piece on real Catholic nuns who support the drag nuns in OPI caught my eye. (The progressive National Catholic Reporter is not to be confused with the conservative National Catholic Register, two very different publications claiming loyalty to the same Church.)

The Reporter quotes a Sister of Saint Joseph (Sister Nancy Corcoran), a Sister Barbara Battista from Sisters of the Providence of St. Mary-in-the-Woods, and Sister Jeannine Gramick of New Ways Ministry, whom Pope Francis has called “a valiant woman.”

These nuns have glowing things to say about OPI. Sister Gramick, for instance, notes that,

“While I am uncomfortable with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence using the nuns’ old garb to draw attention to bigotry, whether Catholic or not, there is a hierarchy of values in this situation. The choice of clothing, even if offensive to some, can never trump the works of mercy.”

The secular dress nuns say they support the drag nuns because of the charity work they do. But charity work falls under the social justice umbrella when it is moved into first place over prayer and contemplation.

I might ask Sister Gramick the following question: What about OPI’s misuse of the crucifix, or its mockery of genuine religious ecstasy?

What about OPI’s condemnation of Pope John Paul II in 1987? Charity work—that is, giving publicly in order to receive recognition and adulation—isn’t as grand as it seems when something far more important is being mocked.

I’m reminded of a satanic group in Philadelphia in the late 1970s, the Church of the Process, that did charity work when it came to feeding the homeless. “I give you this meat loaf, oh homeless one, in the name of Lord Lucifer. Enjoy!”

While OPI was more of a sacrilegious group in the 1980s and 1990s than it appears to be today, the group can still be viewed as having played a role in the continued “decomposition” of all things Christian in today’s world.

That “decomposition” has resulted in, among other things, a burgeoning “Queering Jesus” movement that is now almost the norm in progressive Churches and divinity schools.

In this new world, theology is being turned into a clown drag show and masquerade, where fetishes like sadomasochism are seen as having “spirituality.”

Another story for another time….

In the meantime, over in Dodger-land where the drag sisters were scheduled to receive their Community Hero Award for charity work among marginalized communities, a watershed-miracle protest occurred: a crowd growing exponentially from hundreds to thousands of people until the numbers outside Dodger Stadium looked uncountable. Nobody expected so many Catholics and other Christians to come together, especially in woke Los Angeles. The numbers were stunning, especially compared to the nearly empty stadium during the pre-game ceremony when the tinfoil sisters, facing empty seats, were lauded as heroes.

News anchors and talking heads on TV stations all over the country attempted to hide their disbelief as they reported on the thousands of Dodger prayer vigil protesters. You could see the consternation in their eyes as they ran film clips of the empty stadium as the tinfoil sisters took their bow.

Yes, in some sense it was a miracle, an extraordinary blowback in the face of Woke.

While some LGBTQ organizations will interpret the Dodger stadium miracle on June 16 as yet another sad example of attacks on the safety and well-being of LGBTQ people—a display of hate and intolerance—that view has been shown for what it is: a lie.

Dodger pitcher Clayton Kershaw and many in the crowd of prayer warriors said their protest was not against the LGBTQ community. This is about a group mocking religion, they said, a group that mocks the Blessed Virgin and Jesus Christ; in effect, a group that crosses the line into serious blasphemy.

Hateful Gun Banner Sent to Prison for Threatening Congresswoman Boebert

Lauren Boebert

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

U.S.A.A 39-year-old South Florida man who is an ardent anti-gunner was sentenced last week to 15 months in federal prison and one year of probation for threatening U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colorado, in a series of social media posts that targeted the Congresswoman for her strong Second Amendment support.

In 2021, Matthew Lee Comiskey sent five threatening tweets to Boebert that mentioned firearms and encouraged readers to do her harm. Comiskey originally faced five counts of making an interstate threat but pleaded guilty last year to one count.

His tweets show that Comiskey is violently anti-gun:

  • “Someone needs to put Lauren down like a sick dog. She is a true waste of life! Someone exercise their second amendment right to her face! Since the CIA is a failure and FBI is incompetent at charging her for being a terrorist it’s time to do it ourselves! Pew pew Lauren,” Comiskey wrote in September 2021.
  • “Don’t come to Florida us libs have big guns here and we stand (our) ground. Take you down like Trayvon,” Comiskey wrote a month later.
  • “Don’t worry Lauren, someone is coming soon to show your face the 2nd amendment in practice with a copper jacket. Enjoy,” Comiskey wrote.

Boebert’s pro-gun credentials are well known.

Before the 36-year-old conservative was elected to Congress in 2020, she owned Shooter’s Grill, a Western-themed restaurant in her hometown of Rifle, Colorado, where staff openly carried firearms.

Boebert has earned A-ratings from Gun Owners of America, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and the National Rifle Association. In Congress, she is a member of the Freedom Caucus and the Second Amendment Caucus.

During his sentencing last week at the Paul G. Rogers federal courthouse in West Palm Beach, Florida, Comiskey told the court he let his “personal emotions get in the way of my common sense.”

His mother told the court that her son’s actions were “out of character.” Yeah right….

U.S. District Judge Robin L. Rosenberg rejected Comiskey’s requests for a shorter prison sentence or home confinement.

Montana Congressman, AG Raise Questions After IRS Raid

Congressman Matt Rosendale sounds off on DC statehood.

Rep. Rosendale letter to ATF and IRS

As usual, Biden’s federal government is aiming for the wrong target. Twenty armed IRS agents reportedly raided a Montana gun store, but only for forms filled out by gun purchasers. The Biden administration is apparently compiling data on gun owners.

The Washington Free Beacon reported in January 2022 that the Biden administration had almost a billion Americans’ gun purchase records in an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) database. It seems the administration is still gathering data on legal gun owners. This comes as Biden and the Democrats push gun-grabbing measures and the IRS is set to hire 87,000 more agents (thank you, Kevin McCarthy). For what purpose will the Biden administration use all this data on gun sales? Are legal gun owners the next target of a weaponized federal government?

Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) went on Newsmax’s The Chris Salcedo Show on June 16, where he provided details to guest host Todd Starnes. “This is stormtrooper-type activity, and we’re not used to seeing it in our country whatsoever,” Rosendale said, describing how 20 IRS agents with ARs (i.e. ArmaLite rifles) “stormed” Tom VanHoose’s store, Highwood Creek Outfitters in Great Falls. “This is the kind of activity that demonstrates why we were trying to, in the House of Representatives, defund those additional 87,000 IRS agents,” the representative added.

Rosendale, who spoke with VanHoose, called the raid “disturbing.” He highlighted the odd nature of the raid’s goal. “IRS, right? Financial records, accounting, making sure what transactions were taking place? No. They took all of the [ATF] 4473 forms. The 4473 forms are what everyone fills out when they go to purchase a firearm, and it’s just a big disclosure to make sure that you don’t have a criminal background or other reasons where you should not be purchasing a firearm.”

The congressman added, “I am concerned that this is another attempt by the IRS to create a database on people that they can target for being conservatives because they want to own their own firearm.”

In a separate statement Wednesday, quoted by Newsmax, Rosendale said, “I’m incredibly disturbed by initial reports that the IRS and ATF closed Highwood Creek Outfitters without any warning. … This is yet another example of the Biden Administration weaponizing federal agencies to target and harass hardworking Americans.” Rosendale added, “We cannot allow Biden to continue expanding these agencies to infringe on our liberties.”

As Starnes noted, we’ve seen multiple peaceful groups of Americans targeted by the federal government for political reasons. These include pro-lifers, traditional Catholics, and parents concerned about woke curriculum — not to mention Donald Trump and many Jan. 6 protestors. Are gun owners the next target for political persecution?

Biden Suggests Chinese Spy Balloon Wasn’t ‘Intentional’

Biden Makes Excuses for Chinese Spy Balloon, Suggesting It Wasn't 'Intentional'

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in China today — a make-up trip that was supposed to take place last February except the Chinese rather rudely sent one of their spy balloons, bristling with antennae and communications dishes, across the entire breadth of the United States.

No one in the Biden administration got very upset about the spy balloon transversing over some of the most sensitive military bases in the U.S. After all, it had happened before — several times. In the interest of “good relations,” the Biden administration wasn’t going to say anything. And then a newspaper editor in flyover country caught a glimpse of the balloon flying over the Montana missile fields. At that point, the balloon became an international incident and Blinken was forced to cancel his China trip.

Relations between China and the United States have gotten progressively worse over the last five months. China has been ratcheting up tensions in the South China Sea and Taiwan while helping Russia prosecute its war in Ukraine. To say that Blinken received a frosty reception in Beijing would be an understatement. The Chinese performed the bare minimum of diplomatic courtesies in greeting the U.S. Secretary of State.

But our president didn’t let that cool reception deter him. He went out of his way to apologize for the balloon incident on behalf of China.

“China has some legitimate difficulties unrelated to the United States, and I think one of the things that balloon caused was not so much that it got shot down, but I don’t think the leadership knew where it was, knew what it was in it and what was going on,” he said.

“I think it was more embarrassing than it was intentional,” he said.

God save the queen, right Joe?

To pretend that the Communist leadership of China didn’t know their military was sending a balloon across the entire width of the United States doesn’t pass the smell test. Any provocation like that — and it was a “BFD,” as Biden would say — would require the authorization and support of the highest levels of China’s government.

Fox News:

This week, more than a dozen Republican senators wrote to President Biden, complaining that the administration has not yet given a public account of the spy balloon incident’s “flagrant violation of U.S. sovereignty.”

“While four months have passed since a Chinese surveillance balloon was allowed to fly across the United States, your administration has yet to provide the American people a full accounting of how this spy platform was allowed to traverse across sovereign U.S. territory, what the balloon carried, and what it collected during its mission,” the lawmakers said.

On Saturday, Biden said he hoped to meet with Xi and discuss areas of potential cooperation between the two countries.

“I’m hoping over the next several months, I’ll be meeting with Xi again and talking about legitimate differences we have but also how there are areas we can get along.

Needless to say, Republicans were outraged at Biden’s milquetoast attitude toward the spy balloon.

“I’m not sure how the President could say that with a straight face,” Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) told The New York Post. “Not only was it intentional, it was a direct threat to our national security. China is our greatest geopolitical foe.”

“Biden has been anything but tough on China,” said Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.). “It seems he’s compromised, which is what the evidence reviewed by the House Oversight Committee suggests.”

The Chinese don’t care what Biden thinks. That much is becoming clear, as their increasing aggressiveness toward Taiwan and unilateral moves in the South China Sea attest. President Xi Jiang can see what everyone else can see: the rapidly accelerating mental and physical decline of an American president.
