Another Train Derails, This Time in Nebraska

Yet another train rolled off the tracks; this one is on the east end of Gothenburg, Neb.

The train contained cars carrying hazardous materials. It’s the latest in more than a dozen train derailments this year. Hazmat crews rushed to the scene.

This isn’t the first derailment near Gothenburg.

“This is the fourth one in the last 10 months, it must be one of the busiest railways in America,” local resident Jesse Ambler told reporters. “The rail company keeps laying people off and building longer and longer trains, but with fewer people to maintain the tracks. It’s a problem.”

Union Pacific Railroad released a statement, which read in part:

At about 1:45 a.m. CST today, approximately 31 Union Pacific train cars carrying coal derailed near Gothenburg, Nebraska. No one was injured. The incident occurred about three miles southeast of Gothenburg. Cleanup has begun, with heavy equipment on site. One of the three mainline tracks near the derailment site reopened to train traffic at about 8 a.m. CST. The cause of the incident is under investigation.

The latest derailing comes after Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has finally agreed to visit East Palestine, Ohio, the scene of a disastrous derailment — and intentional burning of poisonous vinyl chloride — that has left hundreds of animals and thousands of fish dead.

FACT-O-RAMA! The people of western Ohio are largely white and Republican. Joe Biden couldn’t make it to East Palestine but was okay making a roundtrip, 44-hour visit to Ukraine. Not surprising considering he couldn’t visit Waukesha, Wisc., when black supremacist Darryl Brooks ran down almost 70 white people and killed six.

Some people are alleging the chemical cloud from East Palestine has spread south, west, and north of East Palestine, causing chaos.

Another train derailed west of Detroit last week, stopping traffic for hours on a nearby interstate highway.

Buttigieg was kind enough to tell us that there are roughly 1,000 derailments per year or about 2.7 per day. Most of these are likely minor “derailments” including wheel slippage that don’t actually bring a train crashing to the ground.

Al Vernacchio teaches English at the private Friends’ Central School in Wynnewood, Pa. He also does double duty as the school’s Sexuality Education Coordinator. And boy, is he coordinating up a storm. Vernacchio takes his job very, very seriously, so seriously in fact, that he takes the time and trouble to show his students what amounts to pornography in the classroom. I will not list what he has displayed to the kids, but if you’re that interested, you can check out the story on Fox News. Suffice it to say, his classroom materials would be enough to get someone fired from their job if they were discovered on a work computer. Did I mention that he is the Gender and Sexual Orientation Alliance advisor?

Apparently, Vernacchio has been at it for a while. He told the New York Times back in 2011, “It’s really a process of desensitizing them to what real genitals look like, so they’ll be less freaked out by their own and, one day, their partner’s.” Desensitizing. I believe that is also known as grooming. As a reporter, I watched people get serious prison time for doing this. Vernacchio gets a paycheck and a pass, and as you can see by the quote, he has no qualms or reservations about exposing young minds to porn. You can see him openly discussing his agenda, which involves students as young as three, below.

Do you know who else thought every child was a sexual being? People like Alfred Kinsey and John Money. If those names do not ring a bell, read Matt Walsh’s What is a Woman?  Vernacchio, as the advisor of the Gender and Sexual Orientation Alliance, has access to children who are grappling with these issues. Do you know what that makes them? Vulnerable.

The amazing thing is that Vernacchio has been involved with this agenda for years. And no one at the school has stepped in to put a stop to it or has even tapped the brakes. Perhaps not all of the parents who had children at Friends’ Central School were aware of Vernacchio’s “curriculum.” But you can’t tell me that none of the parents with students at the school knew this was going on. Plenty of them did, and plenty of them do now. You can bet on it.

But their kids’ innocence and well-being are up for sale when it comes to being progressive. A school will look the other way when someone like Vernacchio decides to show students sexually explicit material if it means it is on the cutting edge. The ancient Canaanites sacrificed their children to Moloch. Modern progressive Americans sacrifice their children not only for the culture but for themselves.

In the wake of the train derailment that caused a huge environmental disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, Michael Barasch, a top lawyer for issues related to the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, is warning the public not to trust the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA is insisting that the air is safe.

Barasch led the charge to inform hundreds of thousands of people that they were entitled to compensation for the health problems they’d experienced as a result of breathing in poisonous dust from the World Trade Center after the attacks. He says he still has clients who are “are dying every single day from 9/11 toxic dust.”

He’s now warning the community in and around East Palestine to “stay away and don’t believe the EPA.”

Barasch noted that in 2001, the EPA similarly assured people the air was safe after the 9/11 terror attacks. He argued that “21 years ago, the government at least had a reason: they wanted to reopen Wall Street.”

“They should have just been honest with people then and said, ‘Look, if you don’t have to be downtown in your office, stay away until the fires go out,’” he told Breitbart News. “And that’s what they should have done here.”

“Otherwise we’re going to see in another twenty years exactly what I’m seeing now — with people developing illnesses and dying from post-9/11 toxic air — only on a lower scale,” he said.

Barasch wonders, “How can anybody with any kind of assurance say the air is safe?” given the amounts of toxic chemicals that were burnt into the air or have ended up contaminating local water sources.

“They’ve lost their credibility,” he added, noting that the issues with the EPA transcend politics because “it was the Bush EPA that said the air was safe to breathe 21 years ago, [whereas] now it’s the Biden EPA.”

The Obama EPA also had a number of scandals, most notably the Gold King Mine spill in Colorado, which the EPA caused.

Barasch suggests that the EPA “should be independent of everybody — even though the president does appoint the administrator.”

“It should be something like the CDC that people really trust, and I’m afraid that I have lost confidence when they say things like ‘the air is safe,’” he added.

I’m not sure who still trusts the CDC, frankly, so I think the lesson here is that no government agency can be trusted.

“Inflation is coming down,” Presidentish Joe Biden insisted in his State of the Union address earlier this month, but new figures show Biden is full of the usual malarkey. “We have more to do, but here at home, inflation is coming down.” Meanwhile, I went to fill up my car yesterday but escrow fell through.

At least I’m not in the market for a new car, something most Americans used to look forward to, but which is increasingly out of reach for millions. Fortune reported last week that “new cars are now toys for the rich,” as “the average price for a new vehicle in the US has jumped to almost $50,000.”

That’s up 30 percent since just 2019. Worse, rising interest rates — a harsh necessity to tame inflation — have caused monthly payments to rise even faster. That shiny new car you might have had your eye on will now cost an eye-watering $777 in base payments alone.

“Every aspect of buying and owning a car has gotten more expensive and outpaced the rate of inflation so it’s important to be more knowledgeable,” CarEdge expert Zach Shefska told Buffalo’s WHRZ News last week.

The average monthly loan payment for a used car is up to $544. As a young lad of 19, way back when, I once spent $700 on a good enough used car, if barely. Not $700 monthly. Total.

There is a silver lining to Biden’s dark cloud of inflation — if you’re a car manufacturer, that is. Car sales might be down — 8% since 2021 — but profits are going nowhere but up. “Ford’s gross profit rose 4.4% in 2022 from a year earlier,” according to that Fortune report, “while GM’s adjusted earnings grew by about $200 million to reach $14.5 billion.” Tesla made an annual profit of $12.6 billion in 2022, with revenues up 51 percent over 2021, “despite missing its sales forecast.”

Must be nice.

Did you want to fill’er up, too? Gas prices are “primed to rise in a few weeks,” according to GasBuddy. They’re already on the way up in the West where I live. Here in Colorado, the average price for a gallon of regular is back up over $4 after briefly dipping to around $3 last year. Californians are closing in on $5 once more, already at nearly $4.75.

Somehow though, a gallon of gas in California is still less than a dozen eggs almost anywhere. “The average price of a dozen large Grade A eggs ran at $4.82 in January,” according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics last week. Not only are those eggs more expensive than the most expensive gallon of regular in the country, but it’s also more than the price of a pound of ground beef — that’s the first time eggs have eclipsed ground beef since BLS started tracking those prices more than 40 years ago.

In states like Colorado, where Democrats have passed strict laws regulating how chickens are kept, prices are even higher. My local Kroger-owned grocery store’s house-brand large white eggs are $4.99. The jumbo size will cost you more.

Home price inflation continues, albeit more slowly than before. Prices rose “only” 7.7 percent annually last November, down from October’s hectic 9.2 percent annualized increase. Nevertheless, monthly payments are going up unabated — just like monthly car payments — due to rising interest rates. “Mortgage buyer Freddie Mac reported Thursday that the average on the benchmark 30-year rate rose to 6.32% from 6.12% last week,” according to ABC News. “The average rate a year ago was 3.92%.”

That’s Joe Biden’s inflation tax making us all poorer, just trying to buy the same food, cars, and houses we could buy before his spending orgy began.
