Sharyl Attkisson: COVID Vaccine Hospital Mandates

The alarm is being sounded at hospitals across the country in critical condition due to staffing shortages. There’s an important side of that story seldom heard—the role that COVID vaccine mandates played in those shortages. Dr. Venu Julapalli is among an outspoken group of medical professionals once affiliated with Houston Methodist. Methodist was the first hospital system in the nation to require COVID vaccines.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) shows that, as of Jan. 20, 2023, there have been 3,855 cases of pulmonary embolism reported following COVID-19 shots.1 A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that develops in a blood vessel in the body, often in the leg, and travels to the pulmonary artery in the lungs where it blocks blood flow. This causes lung tissue damage and damage to other organs and can escalate to life-threatening conditions and even death.2

Since the COVID pandemic, the incidence of acute pulmonary embolisms has increased. Although it is believed that SARS-CoV-2 infection can cause thrombosis (blood clots), the introduction of COVID shots is also suspected to have increased the risk of unprovoked venous thrombus (blood clot originating in the legs) formation and risk of pulmonary embolism.3

Study Shows Thrombotic Adverse Events Linked to Moderna, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca Shots

A 2021 study published in the journal Vaccines was conducted to determine the frequency of reported thrombotic adverse events for three COVID biologics developed by Moderna/NIAID, Pfizer/BioNTech, and AstraZeneca/Oxford University, specifically Spikevax, Comirnaty and Vaxzevria.4

An analysis was conducted on reports for the three COVID shots submitted to the EudraVigilance database from Feb. 17 to June 14, 2021. There were a total of 729,496 adverse events out of which 3,420 were thrombotic. 58.1 percent of the thrombosis reports were from Astra Zeneca’s Vaxzevria, followed by 32 percent from Pfizer’s Comirnaty and 9.8 percent from Moderna’s Spikevax.

There were 705 reports of pulmonary embolism for the three shots, of which 18.4 percent were from Spikevax, 32.1 percent from Comirnaty, and 49.5 percent from Vaxzevria. Sixty-three fatalities were recorded, of which six were related to Spikevax, 25 to Comirnaty, and 32 to Vaxzevria.5

The researchers stated that one of the major limitations of the study is underreporting, over-reporting, and reporting bias of databases such as EudraVigilance, which makes it challenging to identify the true incidence of these potentially fatal pulmonary embolism events.6

No Solid Evidence Showing High Incidence of Venous Thromboembolism in Post-COVID Patients

Although COVID is widely considered to be a respiratory disease, it has been reported that there is a high incidence of venous thromboembolic complications (blood clot forming in a vein) during SARS-CoV-2 infections.7 However, the true prevalence of thrombosis associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection is unknown since studies to date do not include systematic and comprehensive investigation protocols.8 In addition, researchers have had difficulty interpreting the high incidence of pulmonary embolism in critically ill COVID patients because they are by default a high-risk group with multiple comorbidities.9

The medical literature includes some case reports that raise concerns for a potentially increased risk of pulmonary embolism after SARS-CoV-2 infection but researchers say it is still unclear whether pulmonary embolism following SARS-CoV-2 infection is a manifestation of the post-COVID condition or not. A 2022 study published in SN Comprehensive Clinical Medicine found no evidence to prove that a medical history of SARS-CoV-2 infection increases the risk for pulmonary embolism, but that further investigation is needed.10

Terror is the only tool that the mullahs have against the protesters. “Make ready for them all that you can of force and of warhorses, so that by them you may strike terror in the enemy of Allah and your enemy…” (Qur’an 8:60)

“Iran slaps couple with 10-year prison sentences for dancing in front of a landmark in Tehran in the latest brutal crackdown on any dissent to the regime,” by David Averre, Daily Mail, February 2, 2023 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

An Iranian court has handed jail sentences of over 10 years each to a young couple for dancing in front of one of Tehran’s main landmarks, activists said on Tuesday.

Astiyazh Haghighi and her fiance Amir Mohammad Ahmadi, both in their early 20s, had been arrested in early November after a video went viral of them dancing romantically in front of the Azadi Tower in Tehran.

Haghighi did not wear a headscarf in defiance of the Islamic republic’s strict rules for women, while women are also not allowed to dance in public in Iran, let alone with a man.

A revolutionary court in Tehran sentenced them each to 10 years and six months in prison, as well as bans on using the Internet and leaving Iran, the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) said.

It is the latest crackdown by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s ruthless Islamic republic on any behaviour that could be construed as dissent amid ongoing countrywide protests against the regime.

The condemned couple, who already had a following in Tehran as popular Instagram bloggers, were convicted of ‘encouraging corruption and public prostitution’ as well as ‘gathering with the intention of disrupting national security’ according to HRANA.

The organisation cited sources close to their families as saying they had been deprived of lawyers during the court proceedings while attempts to secure their release on bail have been rejected.

It said Haghighi is now in the notorious Qarchak prison for women outside Tehran, whose conditions are regularly condemned by activists.

The couple’s video had been hailed as a symbol of the freedoms demanded by the protest movement, with Ahmadi at one moment lifting his partner in the air as her long hair flowed behind.

One of the main icons of the Iranian capital, the gigantic and futuristic Azadi (Freedom) Tower is a place of huge sensitivity.

It opened under the rule of the last shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in the early 1970s when it was known as the Shahyad (In Memory of the Shah) Tower, but was renamed after the shah was ousted in 1979 with the creation of the Islamic republic.

Iranian authorities have clamped down severely on all forms of dissent since the death in custody of Mahsa Amini – a young woman who was arrested for allegedly violating the headscarf rules in September – sparked protests that have turned into a movement against the regime.

At least 14,000 people have been arrested since the death of Amini in connection with the protests, according to the United Nations, ranging from prominent celebrities, journalists and lawyers to ordinary people who took to the streets….

Iran’s judiciary this month also openly stated it will ‘firmly punish’ women who violate strict dress rules….

Feds drop probe of far-Left general accused of lobbying for Muslim Brotherhood-dominated Qatar

FBI Seizes Electronic Data Of Retired General At Center of Qatar Lobbying Investigation

The FBI is seizing the electronic data of former Marine General John Allen, who stands accused of secretly lobbying Qatar to steer U.S. foreign policy. NBC News’s Ken Dilanian reports on how the FBI claims Allen deceived top White House and Pentagon officials about his relationship with the country.

Justice Department closes foreign lobbying investigation into retired Marine general

The New York Times, of all people, reported in June 2022 that “Federal prosecutors have obtained records indicating that John R. Allen, the retired four-star Marine general who commanded all American troops in Afghanistan and now heads a venerable Washington think tank, secretly lobbied for the government of Qatar, lied to investigators about his role and tried to withhold evidence sought by a federal subpoena, according to court documents.”

But Allen is a certified hard-Left internationalist member of the club. You didn’t really think he would pay any penalty, did you?

“Feds drop lobbying probe of a retired general, lawyer says,” by Alan Suderman and Jim Mustian, Associated Press, January 31, 2023:

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department has dropped its probe of retired four-star Gen. John Allen for his role in an alleged illegal foreign lobbying campaign on behalf of the wealthy Persian Gulf nation of Qatar, his lawyer told The Associated Press.

Attorney David Schertler said in a statement Tuesday that the Justice Department had informed him that it was closing its investigation of Allen and no charges would be filed. The Justice Department declined to comment but a law enforcement official familiar with the inquiry who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly confirmed the decision on condition of anonymity.

The AP first reported last June that the FBI had outlined a potential criminal case against Allen in a confidential search warrant application that appeared to have been filed in error on a federal courts website. Days later, the former Marine general who oversaw U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan resigned as head of the influential Brookings Institution think tank.

Schertler said it was “deeply unfortunate” and “unfair” that the public release of the FBI’s confidential document had damaged Allen’s reputation and livelihood. A Brookings spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The 77-page document detailed Allen’s behind-the scenes efforts to help Qatar influence U.S. policy in June 2017 when a diplomatic crisis erupted between the gas-rich monarchy and its neighbors. That included traveling to Doha to advise top Qatari officials and then lobbying U.S. officials, the FBI said.

An FBI agent said in an affidavit in support of a search warrant there was “substantial evidence” that Allen had knowingly broken foreign lobbying laws, and had made false statements and withheld “incriminating” documents.

Allen denied any wrongdoing, saying his involvement with Qatar was meant to help benefit the United States….

Qatar has spent lavishly on its influence efforts in the U.S. and Europe. The country is allegedly behind a massive cash-for-favors corruption scandal currently unfolding at the European Union’s parliament.

Biden’s handlers release ‘high-value’ Guantánamo jihadi

What could possibly go wrong? Well, a 2013 study found that 29% of released Gitmo detainees had returned to jihad. Among the Taliban leaders who triumphantly entered Kabul in August 2021 was at least one former Gitmo inmate. Will Majid Khan return to jihad? Why not? It’s what he knows. Of course, he may choose a different path, but Biden’s handlers are releasing him without the slightest concern for the safety or well-being of Americans.

“In rare move, U.S. releases ‘high-value’ Guantánamo Bay prisoner,” by Missy Ryan, Washington Post, February 2, 2023:

A former al-Qaeda courier who endured dehumanizing treatment at CIA black sites before spending more than 15 years in Guantánamo Bay was released in Belize on Thursday, a milestone in President Biden’s push to close the high-profile prison but one that underscores he difficulties he will face in doing so.

The resettlement of Majid Khan, who struck a plea deal with U.S. prosecutors in 2012, represented the first time that one of the “high-value” prisoners sent from the secret CIA facilities to the military facility in Cuba in 2006 was freed, his attorneys said.

The nearly year-long delay in releasing Khan, whose 10-year sentence concluded in March, is evidence of the legal and political challenges that Biden must navigate in attempting to finally shut down the facility, which now holds 34 detainees but remains a potent symbol of American excesses in the wake of 9/11.

Free after two decades, Khan apologized for his past. The former Baltimore-area resident pleaded guilty a decade ago to taking part in al-Qaeda plots and later provided testimony in other terrorism cases.

“I have been given a second chance in life and I intend to make the most of it,” he said in a statement released by his attorneys at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) and Jenner & Block.

The release caps a saga that began in 2003 when Khan, who was born in Saudi Arabia but later emigrated with his family to Maryland, was captured in Pakistan. He then endured beatings, sleep deprivation and other forms of torture at the hands of CIA interrogators at secret overseas prisons before being sent to Guantánamo.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Khan had honored his cooperation commitment. “We remain dedicated to a deliberate and thorough process, focused on responsibly reducing the detainee population,” she told reporters Thursday….

Joe Biden Has Become a Key Weapons Supplier for the Global Jihad

The U.S. military was far too concerned with implementing Critical Race Theory and making sure the troops were vaccinated to bother with something so trivial as planning a safe and orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan, and so when it all came crashing down and the strongest military in the world had to cut and run in the most ignominious manner imaginable, it ended up leaving behind $7 billion worth of American ordnance. This appalling turn of events was dismissed at the time, as we were assured that the Taliban wouldn’t know how to operate all this sophisticated weaponry. But the generous Taliban jihadis have shown that they are more than willing to spread their wealth around among their fellow warriors for Allah. And so Old Joe Biden has become the chief weapons supplier of the global jihad.

NBC News reported Monday that the weapons that Biden and woke Gen. Mark Milley were far too busy to be concerned about as they ensured that the U.S. exit from Afghanistan was conducted in the most shameful possible manner have now made their way to other jihadis, in the Indian province of Kashmir that has been a hotbed of jihad violence for years now. What’s more, NBC adds laconically that “experts” say that the transfer of this material from Afghanistan to Kashmir “could be just the start of the weapons’ global journey.” No kidding, really?

The Kashmir jihadis, who want to detach the province from India and attach it to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, are now armed with “M4s, M16s, and other U.S.-made arms and ammunition that have rarely been seen in the 30-year conflict.” For these top-of-the-line armaments, they can thank not only the Taliban, but Old Joe, Milley, and Biden’s woker-than-woke Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin. The groups that your taxpayer dollars have armed now include not only the Taliban, but Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), both of which the U.S. government has designated as terrorist organizations.

Wait, it gets worse. Lashkar-e-Taiba has looked into perpetrating jihad massacres inside the United States. Investigative journalist Daniel Greenfield notes that the terror group has “a long history of recruiting Americans, including members of the Virginia Jihad Network,” a group that was discovered in the early 2000s to be training to participate in jihad attacks overseas. And maybe more than just overseas: Greenfield reports that “during the Virginia Jihad Network investigation, Masoud Khan, one of the men charged, revealed that the terror boss behind the Mumbai attack had asked them to conduct ‘information gathering’ operations in the United States, specifically ‘an unnamed chemical plant in Maryland.’”

That wasn’t all: “Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Sadequee, Pakistani and Bangladeshi immigrants operating in Georgia, were accused of making videos casing the Capitol Building in D.C. and other targets, and sent the videos to a facilitator for Lashkar-e-Taiba. Sadequee was convicted of conspiring to provide material support to Lashkar-e-Taiba.” And in yet another instance, “after Mir Aimal Kansi, a Pakistani Muslim, opened fire at CIA headquarters in Langley, he hid out at a safe house constructed by Osama bin Laden at Lashkar-e-Taiba’s headquarters. That same safe house was alleged to have been used by 1993 World Trade Center bombing operative, Ramzi Yousef.”

This is a clear indication that Lashkar-e-Taiba was looking into striking inside the U.S.; although they didn’t follow up on this at the time, now that Old Joe and his henchmen have supplied them with top-grade weaponry, maybe they’ll decide to revisit those plans.

Related: REPORT: Putin Wants to Buy U.S. Weapons Biden Left in Afghanistan — But There’s Even More

In the meantime, an Indian army spokesman, Lt. Col. Emron Musavi, confirms that “it can be safely assumed that” Lashkar-e-Taiba jihadis “have access to the weapons left behind.” The Kashmir jihadis have been active of late. According to NBC, “the year opened in violence as Kashmir police blamed militants for a Jan. 1 gunfire attack that killed four people in the southern village of Dhangri, followed by an explosion in the same area the next day that killed a 5-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. At least six people were injured on Jan. 21 in two explosions in the city of Jammu.”

For that and much more, we have Old Joe Biden to thank. But as with so much else, one thing is certain: the sycophantic Leftist propagandists that make up the establishment media will never ask the old man about this. To do so wouldn’t fit the narrative.

Defense Department’s Statement on Biden’s Bodacious Balloon Boondoggle Is Baloney

Defense Department's Statement on Biden's Bodacious Balloon Boondoggle Is Baloney

Now that the infamous Chinese spy balloon has finally been shot down after it had traversed the United States and thus apparently completed its mission, Old Joe Biden and the people who are really running this regime are in furious damage-control mode. It’s easy to see why: in one move, Biden’s handlers have managed simultaneously to enrage the Chinese and look weak and dithering, and so Biden’s Defense Department has now issued a statement attempting to downplay the whole thing and throw some shade upon Old Joe’s bête noire, Donald Trump. The DOD is claiming that not one, not two, but three Chinese spy balloons flew over the U.S. during his administration, and President America First neither told the American people nor did anything about them. See, Old Joe doesn’t look so bad now, right? The only problem is that the DoD’s story raises more questions than it answers.

Trump, as you might have expected, denied this, declaring on Sunday morning: “The Chinese Balloon situation is a disgrace, just like the Afghanistan horror show, and everything else surrounding the grossly incompetent Biden Administration. They are only good at cheating in elections, and disinformation — and now they are putting out that a Balloon was put up by China during the Trump Administration, in order to take the ‘heat’ off the slow-moving Biden fools. China had too much respect for ‘TRUMP’ for this to have happened, and it NEVER did. JUST FAKE DISINFORMATION!” Many, of course, will dismiss Trump’s denial, just as they dismissed his denials of the Russian collusion hoax and a thousand other charges against him that turned out to be false all along, but there is more also that casts doubt upon the Defense Department’s assertion.

Mark Esper was a top Trump administration official, serving as Secretary of the Army from November 2017 to July 2019 and Secretary of Defense from July 2019 to November 2020. He recounts: “I don’t ever recall somebody coming into my office or reading anything that the Chinese had a surveillance balloon above the United States. I would remember that for sure.” That raises several possibilities. Esper himself may not be telling the truth, in an attempt to cover for his old boss. The second possibility is that there were no Chinese spy balloons flying over the U.S. during the Trump administration, and the Defense Department is the one that’s lying, in an attempt to cover for President Dementia and his China-linked son.

A third possibility is that three Chinese spy balloons did indeed conduct high-altitude surveillance over the United States during the Trump administration, and the Defense Department knew about it but didn’t alert Esper or Trump. Inconceivable? Not in the slightest degree. DefenseOne reported back in November 2020 that Jim Jeffrey, who had served as Trump’s special envoy for Syria, boasted that he circumvented Trump’s orders to withdraw American troops from Syria by lying to the President.

Jeffrey, according to DefenseOne, acknowledged that “his team routinely misled senior leaders about troop levels in Syria.” Jeffrey explained: “We were always playing shell games to not make clear to our leadership how many troops we had there,” and said that “the actual number of troops in northeast Syria is ‘a lot more than’ the roughly two hundred troops Trump initially agreed to leave there in 2019.’”

Related: BOMBSHELL: White House KNEW About the Chinese Spy Balloon and Covered It up — but Then…

Jeffrey decided to thwart the will of the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces because, he said, the order to withdraw from Syria was “the most controversial thing in my fifty years in government.” Jeffrey even boasted about his defiance: “What Syria withdrawal? There was never a Syrian withdrawal. When the situation in northeast Syria had been fairly stable after we defeated ISIS, [Trump] was inclined to pull out. In each case, we then decided to come up with five better arguments for why we needed to stay. And we succeeded both times. That’s the story.” Cool story, bro. And not in the least implausible. We discovered the existence of the Deep State during the Trump administration because of its boasts about thwarting his agenda while inside the government. Jeffrey was just another Deep Stater.

Even now, Old Joe claimed Saturday that he had wanted the balloon shot down on Wednesday, but was overruled by the Pentagon. So Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark “Thoroughly Modern” Milley is now the Commander-In-Chief? Who elected him? Of course, that question could be asked about a lot of people these days. But given the Deep State’s hatred of Trump and long record of deception, there is abundant reason to doubt the Biden Defense Department’s face-saving statement and not a whole lot of reason to believe it.
