The United States reached its debt limit of $31.4 trillion dollars on Thursday, leading the Treasury Department to begin using “extraordinary measures” to ensure the federal government will not default on its obligations. According to conventional wisdom, both Congress and President Biden now need to agree upon raising or suspending the statutory debt limit before June to keep the government solvent. Of course, a third option, slashing federal spending to lower the debt burden, is not on most lawmakers’ agendas.
Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen in a letter to Congress said, “beginning on Thursday, January 19, 2023, the outstanding debt of the United States is projected to reach the statutory limit. Once the limit is reached, Treasury will need to start taking certain extraordinary measures to prevent the United States from defaulting on its obligations.”
Those extraordinary measures the Treasury will implement this month are, “(1) redeeming existing, and suspending new, investments of the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund (CSRDF) and the Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Fund (Postal Fund), and (2) suspending reinvestment of the Government Securities Investment Fund (G Fund) of the Federal Employees Retirement System Thrift Savings Plan.”
Yellen was forced to implement these measures as Biden and Congress are far from any agreement on the debt ceiling. “I respectfully urge Congress to act promptly to protect the full faith and credit of the United States.” she wrote in the letter.
The White House is currently refusing to negotiate with the newly empowered fiscally conservative Republicans on raising the debt ceiling as Biden thinks they will eventually back off their demands, as investors, business groups, and moderate conservatives warn of the impending default and its political consequences.
Responding to a question on if the nation could avoid default, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said during a press briefing, “It is essential for Congress to recognize that dealing with the debt ceiling is their constitutional responsibility. This is an easy one. This is something that should be happening without conditions. And so, we’re just not going to negotiate about that.”
The Washington Examiner reported that House Speaker McCarthy (R-Calif.) said: “his plan is to negotiate a balanced budget with the Democrats to start paying down the $31 trillion debt.” Adding, “We are six months away, approximately, and what I would like to do is I would like to sit down with all the leaders and especially the president who had started having discussions. I don’t see why you would continue the past behavior. […] Who wants to put the nation through some type of threat at the last minute with the debt ceiling? Nobody wants to do that.”
The debt limit is the total amount of money that our government is authorized to borrow to meet its existing legal obligations, including Social Security and Medicare benefits, military salaries, interest on the national debt, tax refunds, and other payments. Congress has voted to increase the debt limit more than a dozen times in the last 25 years. The United States has been in default four times since the nation’s founding.
What makes matters worse is “the dramatic rise in interest rates over the past few months — the Fed funds rate target is currently between 4.25% and 4.50% — the national debt will be growing at a rate that makes it even harder to ignore,” reported a MoneyWise article.
According to the Peter G. Peterson Foundation’s debt clock, the $31.4 trillion gross national debt equals $94,170 of debt for every person in the country. Currently, more than $965 million is spent every day just in interest on the national debt. The Foundation estimates that the amount of interest will triple over the next decade, making it the fastest-growing item in the federal budget.
Congress needs to reduce spending and our national debt before the June deadline. And the way to do that is to get back to the Constitution, which means ending all federal programs that fall outside the scope of the Constitution’s enumerated powers. The political theater now in play is a dangerous game that potentially will have a lasting negative economic impact on us all. As Reuters reported, “From both an economic and a financial perspective, a failure to raise the debt ceiling would be an unmitigated disaster,” said David Kelly, chief global strategist for JPMorgan Chase & Co funds.
Kelly continued, “While a failure to increase the debt ceiling is the most immediate fiscal threat to the economy and markets in 2023, the damage could also be done either by continuing to neglect deficits altogether or by inflicting very sharp fiscal tightening on an economy which is now thoroughly hooked on the drugs of monetary and fiscal stimulus.”

The annual Davos confab of the globalist elites is getting serious pushback this year. It’s getting a lot harder for the World Economic Forum (WEF) and its servile presstitutes in Fake News media to write off their critics as “tinfoil hat extremists” and “right-wing conspiracy theorists.” From the world’s richest man to a rapidly growing throng of bloggers, vloggers, citizen journalists, and independent-media platforms from all parts of the planet and across the political spectrum, the billionaire denizens of Davos are being called out and their toxic command-and-control “masters of the universe” schemes are being exposed.
Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, tweeted out a pointed barb aimed at the Davos cabal on January 18. Refreshingly candid and accurate for a leading CEO, it read, “WEF is increasingly becoming an unelected world government that the people never asked for and don’t want”
The maverick entrepreneur’s comment quickly garnered 10.8 million views, 49.4 thousand retweets, 3,683 quote tweets, 231.4 thousand likes, and 11.8 thousand replies (mostly positive, with many including videos and memes blasting WEF chief Klaus Schwab).
Musk then posed a simple survey: “The World Economic Forum should control the world: Yes or No.” With 2,420,521 votes cast, the response was an emphatic 86 percent “NO!”
A few days earlier, on January 15, Musk tweaked Schwab and the WEFers for their ESG (Environment, Social, and Corporate Governance) mandates they are attempting to foist on governments, businesses, media, social media, and individuals. “The S in ESG stands for Satanic,” said Musk, who is himself a professed atheist.
Musk has flippantly claimed he didn’t go to Davos this year because it would have been boring. The WEF has responded by saying the Tesla/Twitter/SpaceX titan wasn’t invited this year. A former darling of Davos (see Musk’s many entries on the WEF website here), he is now a pariah to the self-anointed “great and good.” He has obviously fallen from grace with the Davos gods for, among other things, breaking up their global media-propaganda monopoly by buying Twitter; exposing their Deep State/media collusion and censorship by releasing the Twitter Files; reinstating thousands of Twitter accounts that had been banned for expressing Covid vaccine skepticism, belief in election fraud, and other politically incorrect viewpoints; challenging the WEF’s false overpopulation narrative; endorsing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president in 2024; and much more.
Hmmm. Doesn’t sound like the WEFers are truly committed to “diversity,” does it? You know, as in their “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion” (DEI) agenda that they have been aggressively promoting in hundreds of speeches, reports, programs, videos, articles, and op-eds for the past several years. But, like ESG, DEI is simply another globalist tool to be used to fasten a Chinese communist-style “social credit” system upon humanity. Like the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), WEFers don’t apply ESG or DEI to themselves. ESG, DEI, WEF, CCP: the three-letter acronyms fit comfortably in each other’s company — and millions of awakening souls around the world are catching on to the Orwellian scheme embedded in them.
Elon Musk may now be a WEF outcast, but he has a big megaphone and a big following. And he’s far from alone when it comes to challenging the Davos Borg. Resistance is not futile, as the Davos plutocrats found out this week when they were besieged by reporters and camera crews asking uncomfortable questions whenever they ventured out of their secretive and closely guarded meetings. Ezra Levant and his multinational crew from Rebel News doggedly followed any WEFer who strayed beyond the security perimeter. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla was one of the miscreants who got hounded non-stop by the Rebel News crew when he decided to take a leisurely walk through the village. Levant and Avi Yemini relentlessly peppered Bourla, demanding to know why he lied about the efficacy of the Pfizer COVID “vaccine,” if he is concerned about the victims suffering side effects and dying from the vaccine, and how much money he has made personally from the vaccine and boosters.
Similarly, as the video below shows, Levant put Georgia’s Republican Governor Brian Kemp on the spot, and like Bourla, Kemp stonewalled.
Callum Smiles of Rebel News pummeled Wall Street Journal writer Gerard Baker with questions about apparent conflicts of interest with major media outlets cozy relationship with the WEF. Baker insisted that from his perspective, the WEF conference is just a bunch of people getting together to talk — nothing extraordinary.
Rebel News’ Avi Yemini got a much icier reception from CNBC’s vice president and international managing editor Patrick Allen. Yemini and his cameraman approached Allen as he stood on the public sidewalk smoking a cigarette outside CNBC’s temporary pavilion in Davos. Allen belligerently told Yemini to leave and grabbed his microphone and threatened to “punch” him out.
Larry Fink, a billionaire CEO of predatory behemoth BlackRock and a member of the WEF board of trustees, evaded Rebel News ambushes but Ezra Levant did visit the BlackRock Davos pavilion and provided a profile of Fink nonetheless, employing videos of Fink's recent interviews.
Savanah Hernandez, a reporter for ThePostMillennial and Turning Point USA, was also onsite at Davos asking questions and giving daily commentary to media back in the United States.
Japanese journalist Masako Ganaha may have been the only independent reporter to have scored an “interview” with Klaus Schwab.
The Davos Maestro was less than gracious to the diminutive (but heroically persistent) reporter, granting her barely a few words before dismissing her. Nevertheless, Masako Ganaha did great reporting in Davos under difficult circumstances and provided commentary to many media outlets around the world. (See her Twitter feed here.)
Swiss-based Noor Bin Ladin is another independent journo who was on the ground at Davos reporting, interviewing, and providing incisive commentary. (If the name sounds familiar, it’s because her father is Yeslam Bin Ladin, brother to the late Osama Bin Laden. Her mother, Carmen Dufour Bin Ladin, was born to a Swiss father and a Persian mother and grew up in Switzerland. Like many other Western women who marry Muslim men, Carmen realized too late she had made a mistake and went through a horrendous ordeal to be able to divorce her husband and leave Saudi Arabia with her four daughters, including Noor). Andrew Lawton of the Canada-based True North Centre (TNC News) was one of the few independent journalists (and perhaps the only one) to be granted official access to the WEF confab. While definitely critical of the WEF, he had to be careful to avoid being ejected from the event. (Lawton’s True North reports can be seen here.)
ZeroHedge’s Tyler Durden reported that “Al Gore is testing out his performative Greta mode at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week,” comparing Gore to the snarling, emotive Greta “How DARE you!” Thunberg. Gore “tried to go climate activist beast mode during a Q&A panel,” Durden said, with pathetic results. “His attempt this week to pull off a ‘Greta moment’ and shed his notorious stiffness resulted in an unhinged rant wherein he claimed that carbon emissions and greenhouses gases are trapping ‘as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth.’”
The non-stop, motor-mouthed, ever-entertaining British actor/comedian/activist Russell Brand has been tearing into the WEF and their Great Reset with fierce relish for months — and amassing a following of millions.

And there are many more who could be cited. Fox News even got in on the action with WEF segments or Davos reporters making guest appearances on Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Waters, and Maria Bartiromo (a longtime WEF invitee, who reported again from inside Davos).
The takeaway is that The New American is not such a lonely voice anymore; many other alternative media organizations, bloggers, talk show hosts, etc. have grasped, like Elon Musk, that the gameplan of the WEF’s Great Reset is to accelerate centralizing and concentrating power into the hands of the UN, the World Bank, the IMF, the World Trade Organization, the World Health Organization, and the WEF-aligned globalist corporations — until they have total control. We are no longer alone in the tinfoil-hat gallery warning about this malevolent New World Order these megalomaniacs envision for all humanity. That is VERY good news. Knowledgeable, informed resistance is GROWING. That is why governors and attorney generals in nearly two dozen states are disinvesting billions of dollars from BlackRock, Citi, Goldman Sachs, Vanguard, and other woke ESG-promoting funds, and/or are pursuing legal action against them. And that is why BlackRock’s Larry Fink whined in an interview at Davos with Bloomberg News that the attacks on him and BlackRock are “ugly” and “personal.” That is why Alberta’s newly elected Premier Danielle Smith has been able to stand up to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (Klaus Schwab’s lapdog Young Global Leader) and has ended her province’s health-consulting agreement with the WEF.

Kesha Hamilton is a member of the school board in Jackson, Michigan. Whatever else she may believe, she firmly contends that white people are evil, as evidenced by a December 17 tweet that read, “Whiteness is so evil.. it manipulates then says, I won’t apologize for my dishonesty and trauma-inducing practices and thinks you should applaud it for being honest about its ability to manipulate and be dishonest.”
Libs of TikTok brought the proverbial receipts when it came to Hamilton’s opinion. As the old saying goes, tell me how you really feel:
So, according to Hamilton, white people are evil, manipulative, treacherously abrasive, and more dangerous than wild animals. Oh, and white women are “the stupidest.” You can scroll down through the feed to see that responders were, by and large, infuriated.
The website MLive Michigan said that the January school board meeting saw a larger number of people in attendance than usual and a greater security presence since someone had been circulating fliers with a logo resembling that of the Proud Boys reading, “Jackson School Board hates White people.”
During the meeting, some called Hamilton’s comments “disgraceful” and “appalling.” Another called her an “angry and bitter judge” and said her remarks were divisive. That commenter added, “Someone in her influential position must be held to a high standard. She must be a representative for all students in the JPS system. Her racist comments should not be condoned. How can all kids feel safe when physical characteristics over which they have no control are being called evil and dangerous?” Another said Hamilton’s language was hurting society rather than helping it and that Hamilton was adding to disparities and dividing the Jackson community.
Conversely, Jackson High School teacher Paris Anderson, a white, conservative male Christian called Hamilton caring and compassionate and said that she was not a racist. He added that Jackson has never questioned him about the way he teaches a history that is not his. Another attendee, Myeshia Jones, rose to Hamilton’s defense by stating that Hamilton was not attacking individuals:
Whiteness is the system, the ideology, the belief, the thought that because your skin is white, you are superior to Black people. Because your skin is white you deserve better. Because your skin is white, you have better opportunities
However, Hamilton’s tweets actually attacked white people. Scroll back up and read them again.
There are white racists out there. Just not as many as Hamilton or the DOJ would have you believe. And the white people who really believe they are superior and have better opportunities would rather have Hamilton in the room as opposed to a commoner like you or me. Supporting Hamilton gives the closet racists on the Left the balm they need to soothe their souls and continue to feel superior and gracious and to be patronizing. Someday, people like Hamilton will figure this out, and I hope I’m around to see it. Undaunted, Hamilton posted another tweet, this time about her gratitude for the support she received:
She had one supporter who expressed her relief that Hamilton was safe. She also speculated that things at the school board meeting could have escalated, given the negative reaction from many online. Well, of course, because someone saying that they don’t like being called a racist, heaven forfend, expresses an idea that does not bear the official Woke Seal of Approval must naturally be prone to violence. However, the vast majority of those who replied continued to take Hamilton to task for her vitriol, including a man named Moaead Rawashdeh, who said, “I am not a white person But I stand with white people against your disgusting hateful blunt racism Getting fired is a fraction of what you deserve.”
Hamilton, it should be noted, is a racial equity consultant with Diverse Minds Consulting LLC. And there you have it – a repairperson in search of a problem. Even a problem that must be created will do. One of the responders to the Libs of TikTok post made an interesting observation:
This anti-white push will do nothing but manufacture white racists out of people who would have never been racist otherwise. They’re generating resentment. These people don’t want racial harmony. They need the racial animosity to continue.
And the man has a point. The only permissible response to this controversy is to confess one’s racism or, if necessary, manufacture it. And even then, confession is not enough. You may remember a little thing called “Race to Dinner,” in which black activists were paid to lecture wealthy white women on how racist they were. Even when the women broke down and cried, their tears were derided as manipulative.
For race hustlers, there can never be a right answer. The only thing one can do is say one is a racist and accept the penalties. Stop me if you’ve heard this story before, but in the early years of the Obama administration, anyone who disliked the president’s policies was labeled a racist. One listener told me he just didn’t care anymore since, no matter what he said or did, he would be labeled as a racist.
And the current trend in what passes for “discourse” is to find racism everywhere, even if it has to be sown, grown, and teased out of a person who is not racist to begin with. The idea is to hammer them until they blow up so people can shout, “See? See? I knew they were racists all along!” Or to break them down so they will confess to anything. Historically, the second approach has been a very effective torture technique among totalitarians.
Years ago, we lived in a house where to our left was an immigrant family from Chile. To the right was a white family. The white family flew lots of American flags and were life-long residents of the area. As white people, which family do you think we got along with? Well, the Chilean family came out to greet us when we moved in. We shoveled each other’s snow, brought in each other’s garbage cans, exchanged Christmas gifts, and we had them over for dinner and parties. They also, incidentally, introduced us to a great red wine.
The white family, by contrast, had two kids that were known for vandalism and crime. They had loud, obnoxious trucks that spewed exhaust everywhere, and raced up and down the street in a beater truck with a Confederate flag painted on the roof, terrorizing young and old alike. They screamed profanities at all hours of the night, stole cherries from the tree in our yard, and dumped toxic chemicals in the driveway. They were obnoxious, unkempt, chronically unemployed, and well-known to the cops. So we hated our neighbors to the right and loved our neighbors to the left, and not because we thought it was cool to have Chilean friends. Our neighbors to the left were genuinely decent, kind, and neighborly people. The kids on the right were a waste of DNA. Too bad progressives would never believe this story, as true as it is. But character counts more than color.
Ultimately, the race hustlers do not want to stop racism as much as leverage it where they think they have found it and create it where they deem it necessary. Again, there are real racists out there. And that attitude is execrable. No sane person would deny that. But apparently, there are not enough actual racists to support a narrative. Or an industry.

Mere days after leaving the vice presidency in 2017, Joe Biden was hosting a meeting with his inner circle at his Wilmington, Del., residence, where a trove of classified documents were recently been discovered.
Though there are no visitor logs, the existence of these meetings is confirmed due to emails found on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop.
According to a review from Fox News Digital, “Just three days after leaving office, then-Biden aide Kathy Chung invited Biden’s son, Hunter Biden; Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens; and several others to a ‘UDEL meeting at the Lake house’ on Feb. 7, 2017.”
The “lake house” refers to Biden’s lakeside home in Wilmington, and “UDEL” likely stands for the University of Delaware.

It is not clear who ended up attending the meeting that took place on February 7, 2017—which coincidentally was the same day it was announced that Biden would be leading the Penn Biden Center at the University of Pennsylvania and the Biden Institute at the University of Delaware.
The existence of this and other meetings, combined with the connection to the Penn Biden Center—where classified documents were originally found, certainly raises questions about the security of the documents at the house, whether any of the materials brought to Biden’s home after leaving the White House were part of any meetings, or if any of the meetings resulted in classified documents being transferred from the home to the Penn Biden Center.
