Two female Muslim candidates make history in Georgia election

Ruwa Romman, who will become the first Muslim woman to serve in the Georgia Senate, and Nabilah Islam will become the first Muslim woman to serve in the Georgia House.

MSNBC’s Ali Velshi interviewed Ruwa Romman after she won her Georgia state senate race.

Early in the interview, we learn that Ms. Romman is an operative of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) who identifies as “Palestinian.” She decided to run for office after attending a CAIR event.

Additionally, she is the former Communications Director for CAIR-Georgia.  That means she was there for some of the worst CAIR abuses of the last six years.

Four months before Romman came on board with CAIR, the organization importuned Georgia law enforcement to arrest two men who flipped off a Muslim family on the freeway. Take note of CAIR-Georgia’s deputy Executive Director calling for hate crime legislation that excludes white people from protection.

Three months before CAIR hired Romman, they were piling on after Sacha Baron Cohen pranked Jason Spencer on TV.

So she had a fair warning. She should have known what she was getting into.

Nevertheless, Ruwa Romman was there for CAIR’s media assault on Sharon Dickson.

She was also there for CAIR’s media assault on Sean Wight of Farmhaus Burgers. Less than a year after Farmhaus Burgers hired Lacey Enevoldsen, she decided to convert to Islam and begin wearing a hijab to work. When the owner took her aside to talk about this, she secretly recorded their conversations and took them to CAIR. CAIR praised Enevoldsen as being smart enough to spy on her boss. Yet that is something that CAIR representatives very much resent when it happens to them.

Ruwa Romman was there for this and is now gaining legitimacy. And she is not the only one. It does not take very long when reading CAIR’s Muslim Registry before one encounters names such as Abdisalam Adam, Farrah Khan, Omar Din, and others.

One more time for the negligent news media: this is not about anybody’s religion; it is about particular Muslims and groups, their politics, and their behavior. Because reporters such as Vali Velshi continue to promote supremacist Muslims, we will continue to see them rise in authority and influence.
