If you don’t have a high credit score, you can still get an ITIN loan. You just need to look for lenders who (1) accept ITIN in lieu of SSN and (2) offer loans that don’t put too much consideration on your credit history.

What is an ITIN?

ITIN stands for Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is the issuer of ITIN. The IRS gives ITINs to taxable individuals without SSN. An ITIN has nine digits that always begin with a nine and include a 7 or 8 as the fourth digit.

Who needs an ITIN?

  1. Apply before April 15. The deadline for tax filing is April 15. So if you plan to submit after the current tax season, you have until April 16 of the current taxable year until April 14 of the following taxable year.   2. Submit via mail the W-7 form, including proof of identity documents in the address indicated in the form.

(Natural News) Immigrant children fresh from Central and South America, the Caribbean and China are now being taught at a Boston public school that assassinating people you don’t like is sometimes appropriate in order to resist “oppression.”

Humanities teachers at Charlestown High School who are part of the Sheltered English Immersion program are reportedly telling ninth- and tenth-grade students in the program that they need to “critically examine when certain forms of resistance might be appropriate,” one of them being the assassination of political figures.

The website of the Boston Teachers Union (BTU) contains curriculum documents outlining “notes and assignments around oppression, resistance, and narrative structure,” which include “detailed note-taking sheets and powerpoints [sic] on institutional, interpersonal, and internalized oppression.”

Instead of teaching these children new to America about our nation’s history, as well as how to read and write, employees at Charlestown High School are telling them about three different types of oppression: “Institutional,” “Interpersonal,” and “Internalized” – only one of these three words actually being spelled correctly on the worksheets.

One listed example of oppression at the institutional level is “Trump builds a wall on the border so it is harder for Latinos to enter the U.S.” One example of interpersonal oppression is “A husband tells his wife she must stay home to cook and clean.”

As for internalized oppression, one example used is “An Asian girl hates her eyes, she thinks she is ugly so she gets surgery to change them.”

Former teacher says she’s “disgusted” by these worksheets

After reading these examples, the students were then told to come up with their own examples based on the samples, as well as solutions including boycotts, sit-ins, petitions, and other “peaceful protest” methods.

Also presented were examples of violent forms of revolt, including riots with masked protesters throwing projectiles, people fighting and political assassinations, the latter of which was presented alongside an image of President Richard Nixon in crosshairs.

The first thing these students learning English as a second language (ESL) are being told upon entry into the United States is that the country is oppressive and that assassination is one way to respond to that oppression.

“These English language learners [in these classrooms] are likely new immigrants to the country, coming to this country to experience freedom, [but in Boston] they’ve run smack dab into Marxist indoctrinators posing as educators,” warns Rebecca Friedrichs, the founder of the advocacy group For Kids & Country.

Also the author of “Standing up to Goliath: Battling State and National Teachers’ Unions for the Heart and Soul of our Kids and Country,” Friedrichs, who worked as a teacher for 28 years, says she is “disgusted” by what she saw on these worksheets, calling the material “damaging and dangerous.”

“Schools are meant for educating children, not indoctrinating them in radical ideology,” she added in a statement. (Related: America’s public schools are also indoctrinating students to become transgenders.)

Award-winning international journalist and executive director of the advocacy group Public School Exit Alex Newman agrees. He says that the material at Charlestown High School is “clearly designed to indoctrinate children into seeing themselves as victims of oppression.”

“They seem to be promoting revolt and resistance to legitimate forms of authority,” he told The Epoch Times, pointing specifically to the idea that the way to deal with oppression is to “overthrow” it.

“Legitimate authorities must be brought down if they want to impose new authorities,” Newman added, defending the status quo. This “indoctrination program,” as he called it, is “an extension of that same lawless agenda.”

GOP Fights Biden Immigration Changes that Facilitate Entry to Terrorists

Congressional Republicans are taking aim at recent policy changes by the White House that they argue make it easier for individuals affiliated with terror groups, such as the Iranian government, to immigrate to the United States.

Several members of the House’s GOP caucus have spoken out following reporting by the Washington Free Beacon that noted changes the State and Homeland Security departments made last week to federal immigration law that afford “immigration benefits or other status” to individuals who have given “significant material support” to designated terror groups.

According to the Federal Register, individuals who would now qualify for immigration benefits under the newly created category include those who gave “humanitarian assistance” or “routine commercial transactions” to terrorist organizations.

While the State Department claimed the amendment is intended to facilitate entry to the United States for Afghans who unwittingly worked for terror groups, critics of the shift say the language is too vague and opens the door for terrorist allies to come into the country.

One issue, detractors say, is that the changes do not include language to specifically restrict groups such as al-Qaeda and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), the paramilitary force known for orchestrating attacks on Americans.

A bill introduced by Representative Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and 14 other lawmakers from the House Republican Study Committee (RSC) aim to close the loopholes in the administration’s changes by requiring that any foreign national applying for a U.S. visa or citizenship reveal any links to Iran or the IRGC.

One of the bill’s co-sponsors, Representative Lisa McClain (R-Mich.), told the Free Beacon: “I am shocked that disclosing Iranian and IRGC affiliations was not already a requirement for U.S. visa applications. Iran has shown us time and time again that they are no friend of the United States.”

The outlet notes of the proposal:

The legislation, which is likely to garner widespread Republican support but stall in the Democrat-controlled House, would force the State and Homeland Security Departments to “ask about an alien’s affiliation with the Iranian state and the IRGC on visa, permanent residency, and naturalization application forms,” according to a full copy of the bill.

“By requiring these carefully crafted questions in our immigration vetting process, the bill aims to strengthen immigration accountability and transparency and provide more data for the Department of State and Department of Homeland Security to better evaluate potential US national security threats,” the RSC wrote in its internal policy brief on the legislation.

But making America more vulnerable to its enemies has been a recurring theme for the Biden White House.

As The New American has reported, China now far outpaces the United States in weapons acquisition, obtaining new technology at five times the speed and one-fifth the price of America.

“In purchasing power parity, they spend about one dollar to our 20 dollars to get to the same capability,” Major General Cameron Holt, who serves as deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, recently said during a speech in San Diego, according to The Drive.

“We are going to lose if we can’t figure out how to drop the cost and increase the speed in our defense supply chains.”

Then there’s the fact that President Biden sold a million barrels of oil from the nation’s strategic reserves to a Chinese state-owned firm where Hunter Biden is an investor. Of course, on Day One in office, Biden terminated an executive order from President Donald Trump that was aimed at keeping foreign countries and firms away from America’s bulk power systems, especially entities tied to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

In addition, the administration’s virtual open-border policy has led to even the United Nations calling the southern border the “deadliest land crossing in the world.”

Representative Mike Waltz (R-Fla.), who sits on the Armed Services Committee and co-sponsored Banks’ bill, argued why the loopholes created by the White House’s immigration changes must be addressed.

“Over the last two decades, the IRGC [have been] responsible for the killing of over 600 U.S. servicemembers and continue to threaten U.S. public officials who dared challenge their terrorism,” Waltz told the Free Beacon. “Allowing any individuals into our country who may have assisted these terrorists would be a direct national security threat to our citizens.”

Dozens of residents in Temple, Texas have forced the city to table its plans to impose a radical, pro-LGBT “Diversity Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) indoctrination program on all municipal employees. The city backed down following strong organized pushback by citizens. There is now momentum to derail the DEI program permanently over the next several months.

Temple is located about 40 miles north of Austin in a region with a largely conservative, Christian population.

The residents’ effort was organized by Concerned Christian Citizens (CCC), a local Texas MassResistance affiliate. CCC’s MassResistance activism in that area goes back several years. In 2017 they put on a conference on the LGBT agenda in nearby Killeen. In 2018 they organized over 50 parents in Temple to confront the Library Board over its promotion of homosexual materials for children.

The problems started with a tragic traffic stop in 2019

The apparent necessity for a DEI crusade in Temple originated from a tragic traffic stop on Dec. 2, 2019, where a Hispanic police officer accidentally shot and killed a black motorist. According to news reports, the officer attempted to pull over the man for speeding. A brief chase ensued. At an intersection, the officer was able to block the car. The officer approached the car with his gun drawn. The man did not resist, but the officer accidentally pulled the trigger while reaching for the man’s car keys.

Several months of vocal outrage ensued against the city from the local black community. That really rattled the local politicians, especially when the George Floyd riots began across America in the spring of 2020.

A Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission is created

In mid-2020, the Mayor and City Council decided to pacify the situation by creating the Temple Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Commission, authorized in December, 2020. Its “official” purpose was to advise the city “on policies, programs, practices, and other matters to build greater equality within the Temple community by promoting equity and eliminating discrimination.”

At first, it seemed fairly innocuous to conservatives. But this is a common tactic around the country: get a foot in the door, then proceed to impose big changes in the community.

Membership in the appointed nine-member DEI Commission was purposefully based on race, sex, and “sexual orientation” (all are black, female, or “LGBT”). Most of the members are clearly leftists. Many residents have complained that normal white males, who make up a large part of the community, were excluded.

The first monthly meeting was on June 6, 2021. For a year, not much was heard from the Commission. Videos of the meetings were not easily available, and few people attended in person.

Facebook announces $800 million facility to be built in Temple – in exchange for what?

In March 2022 the parent company of Facebook announced that it would be building an $800 million data processing facility in Temple. Facebook would bring in hundreds of their employees to work there.

It’s widely believed that in negotiating for this over the previous several months, the Mayor and City Council promised Facebook that the city would work to change the culture of Temple – to create and enforce government policies and city ordinances that correspond with Facebook’s leftist San Francisco sensibilities.

It also became obvious that the Mayor and City Council intended to use the DEI Commission as a front to implement the “woke” agenda that they would create.

Bizarre outside group chosen to create radical city DEI agenda

In May 2022, several residents discovered that the DEI Commission was imminently preparing to drop a bomb, so to speak, on the city during its upcoming June 7 meeting.

It was revealed that The Nova Collective, a radical pro-LGBT organization based in Chicago, had been covertly chosen by the city to implement a comprehensive DEI plan in the city. This immediately shocked many citizens. This group is an extreme left-wing organization that promotes itself as “transforming organizations through a lens of equity.” Nova’s Facebook page has, among other things, videos promoting “Drag” crossdressing and transgenderism.

The City Council was using the DEI Commission as a front group for this. At its June 7 meeting the DEI Commission was going to hear a presentation about Nova from city employees, then vote to “recommend” that the city move forward with that group. From there, the City Council would vote at their meeting on July 7 to officially fund Nova and get the DEI program started.

People had a lot of questions. Why is this happening? How was this group selected? Who selected it? How much will it cost? What exactly are they going to force Temple to do?

CCC fires up local residents

Immediately upon hearing all this, Concerned Christian Citizens notified Christians across the city and quickly educated them about what was about to happen. Emails, flyers, and much more went out. Letters to the editor were published in the local newspaper.

Citizens storm the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion meeting!

On June 7, Concerned Christian Citizens brought over two dozen strong-willed local residents to the DEI meeting. (Nobody came to speak in favor of contracting with Nova.)

The “citizen comment” portion was at the beginning. They didn’t hold back! Here’s some of what the Commission heard:

  • People described in detail how Critical Race Theory, a veiled foundation of DEI, is not a unifying program at all, but a classic Marxist method of dividing society into “oppressed” and “oppressors.”
  • One long-time public employee said that this was being used to discriminate against (and keep the city from hiring) people with certain religious convictions and political beliefs.
  • The dysfunctional use of the word “equity” was discussed, and how critical thinking is being discouraged in these programs.
  • A teacher for 25-year veteran teacher said that this will isolate the children in her class, and that the use of homosexual books will lead to the promotion of pedophilia.
  • A long-time pastor in Temple said that Nova’s perverse agenda will affect the entire community in a destructive way.

And more … the DEI commission got an earful that they weren’t expecting!

How the Nova group was brought in

After the public comment ended, the introduction of Nova was next on the agenda. Erin Smith, the Assistant City Manager, informed the Commission how all this had come about.

First, she said, the City Council, Mayor, and other city officials were given some “DEI 101 training” by an outside leftist firm, The MacMillan Group, for which the city paid an undisclosed amount. This apparently was to make sure that the city’s top officials were suitably indoctrinated to move forward with the next steps.

Next was the explanation of how Nova was selected. Stacy Hawkins, the city’s “director of performance excellence” started by identifying sixteen DEI consulting firms. She interviewed them and selected seven. Hawkins and Smith then jointly interviewed the seven firms, and selected Nova. They then gave a presentation on Nova to the City Council, which obviously agreed with their choice. Note that the DEI Commission was completely left out of this selection.

Next was a presentation to the DEI Commission about Nova. Smith began with this rather alarming introduction:

They are a company that is devoted to transforming organizational values no matter where they are on the DEI journey. They work with and cultivate DEI leaders to build equity and achieve meaningful lasting change.

She said Nova has been used by Facebook, CenturyLink, Goodwill, Walgreens, Comcast, and many other major firms, as well as government agencies such as Los Angeles County, the city of Denver, and the Air National Guard.

Regarding the process Nova will use, it had already been worked out between Nova and the city. Erin showed the slide below, with the ominous title “Organization-wide and Leadership-level alignment.”

Smith discussed the steps in more detail. When understood in the larger context, this was also disturbing:

  1. The survey of all city employees is a tool to uncover their so-called “biases” and will be used to design woke “solutions.”
  2. The policy and process audit will include all the city’s current policies, procedures, hiring practices, etc. to measure how “diverse and inclusive” they are. The results will be used to “imbed DEI” into all of the city’s “organizational values.”
  3.  The “interviews” with top city officials and the Temple DEI Commission members will be one-on-one interviews with Nova staff. The goal is to make sure that all of them ”buy-in and support” the city’s new DEI ideology – i.e., no critical thinking is allowed.
  4. The executive leadership team alignment session appears to be a Maoist process where Nova directs the city officials to plan the ideological overhaul of Temple’s government operations.
  5. The “citizen survey” is similar to the employee survey – to uncover so-called “biases” in the community – and will lead to changes in the city’s laws and ordinances to be more in line with DEI ideology and dogma.

All of this also leads to a “Strategic Roadmap” for the city, that codifies and extends the DEI reach even further. It covers diversity training for employees and others. It will address issues of “tension” – which means how to deal with anyone who resists the DEI program. It even includes discriminating among vendors the city hires depending on their DEI commitments!

Questions from the Commission members

Next came questions from the Commission members about Nova and Erin Smith’s presentation. Two people from Nova were also there via Zoom to answer questions.

Several questions came from one of the Commission members, a conservative woman, who asked some tough, direct questions of Smith and the two Nova staffers. A few of the liberal Commission members tried to defend the process, without much success. Here’s a synopsis of what was brought out:

  • Cost. There is no money currently budgeted for this. But it will cost the city approximately $112,000 annually over the next several years.
  • Cross-dressing and DEI. There was a big question about Nova’s Internet post that says: “Drag provides a vehicle for self-exploration that empowers us to explore different aspects of ourselves.” Nova could not explain how “drag” has anything to do with DEI.
  • What is DEI, anyway? It was acknowledged that neither the Commission nor the city could define exactly what DEI is, yet they are about to hire a firm to implement it! Maybe the city should define it first, it was suggested.
  • Disagreement equals “lack of education.” One of the Nova staffers said that the reason that people don’t accept the DEI agenda is that “the fear associated with it is due to lack of education” – and Nova provides the “education.” In other words, there is no room for any legitimate disagreement, which they term as “fear.” They also said that they consider disagreement as “resistance” that must be dealt with.
  • Not a good fit for Temple. Nova seems to think they’re already hired. But there is a big concern that the vulgar “Drag” component and the LGBT posts on Nova’s website and social media go against the morals of people in the community and are not a good fit for Temple. The core of Nova seems to challenge individuals’ identities. Maybe the city needs to do more research with different agencies.

The Commission votes to TABLE the plan

The DEI Commission was clearly affected by the residents’ outraged testimony and the unsettling responses to the tough questions after the presentation.

As the Commission was preparing to vote, several members said they weren’t comfortable with this plan. They said that at least they needed much more information.

So rather than directly antagonize the city by rejecting it, they voted to table it. In fact, the process of “getting more information” could be indefinite – even though the city wants to begin immediately.

This is a big victory! All that remains is for the residents to stop the City Council from bypassing the DEI Commission. And that process ramped up at the July 7 City Council meeting!

The City Council gets an earful despite the Mayor’s attempt to defend the project

Temple City Council meetings generally begin with a period for public comments from local citizens. But the July 7 Temple City Council meeting began with the Mayor, Tim Davis, making some statements in a dishonest attempt to mollify people about their concerns about the DEI plan.

Davis said that there would be no requirements for the citizens or the city to accept “the myriad of things that come with DEI.” He said that Nova would “possibly” survey the city of Temple employees “to get an understanding of where they stand regarding the DEI concepts.” From there the city would “possibly” put together a training program “so that city of Temple employees will be able to deliver the City of Temple’s services to any minority community.”

That is certainly different than what the two city employees – the assistant city manager and director of performance excellence – told the DEI commission.

Then came the public comments section. The residents weren’t buying any of Davis’s rhetoric, and for the next 25 minutes, one after another blasted the Mayor and City Council for this ridiculous and destructive proposal.

No action was taken at that meeting. And from what we’ve heard since then, the Mayor and City Council were a bit shell-shocked by the intense reaction from the community. There’s a strong feeling that they may find a way to back off from it.

Final thoughts

More and more local residents are realizing that there is no need for a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program in Temple, Texas – or anywhere else. These are, in fact, Marxist concepts that were designed to cause division and antagonism between classes and races. They make conditions worse, not better.

But even in conservative Christian areas, this hideous agenda is brought in by corrupt politicians who do not care about the actual welfare of the people they were elected to serve, but seek to appear “sophisticated” to curry favor with unhinged leftists.

The pushback in Temple needs to be replicated across America.

Anne Frank Trust Invited Islamist Who Called for Murder of Jews

The real lesson of the Holocaust is killing Jews.

Nasima Begum, who used to work as the spokeswoman for the Muslim Council of Britain, does not like Jews very much. Past tweets include heartfelt thoughts such as "Death to you Zionist scum".

This didn't stop her from getting work with the BBC or being brought on board by the Anne Frank Trust UK to train the “youth” in the arts of tolerance.

Despite the name of the murdered Jewish girl, the Anne Frank Trust UK was seeking trustees with "lived experiences" of "anti-black racism, disability, homophobia and transphobia" and was "particularly keen to address anti-black racism as a priority" as "highlighted by the Black Lives Matter movement". Those merely concerned about the matter of anti-semitism need not apply.

Organizations with Anne Frank’s name, but having nothing to do with her, Holocaust victims, or the Jewish community have proliferated around the world. These organizations, generally not even Jewish, have instead served as incubators of antisemitism in exactly this sort of way.

The Anne Frank Foundation in Switzerland funds BDS hate groups. An Anne Frank center in Frankfurt Germany compared ISIS terrorists to Jews. At the Anne Frank Center in Berlin, a Muslim guide compared Israel to Nazi Germany. The Anne Frank House in Amsterdam removed references to Anne's Jewishness, banned a guide from wearing Jewish clothing, and attacked Israel. An exhibit placed a photo of former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon side by side with one of Hitler.

And yet this may be the first time an Anne Frank organization invited a speaker who had called for the murder of Jews. So many Anne Frank groups had tiptoed around it, but the Anne Frank Trust UK actually went out and did it.

"We are excited to welcome performance poet, producer, and creative practitioner, Nasima Begum, to our special workshop this evening.” the Anne Frank Trust UK announced.

Begum’s job was “youth empowerment”.

Not surprising when the Assistant Director for Youth Empowerment at the Anne Frank Trust is Amna Abdullatif who tweets enthusiastic support for antisemitic politician Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Under pressure, the British organization announced that Begum "may have views that are not consistent with our values" and promised that it would launch an investigation even though controversies over Begum had already been aired in the past and would have been known to it.

There is a reason that this keeps happening at organizations named after Anne Frank.

Anne’s story was hijacked early on with a play, The Diary of Anne Frank, by Lillian Hellman, a Hollywood Stalinist, who turned it over to Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich, the Communist-linked married couple who purged most of the Jewish references.

Since then, Anne Frank has been reinvented in the form of various races, most recently as an illegal alien hiding from ICE, and another production that sought a “multi-racial cast representing many heritages.” The elimination of Anne’s Jewishness, much like the universalization of the Holocaust, presages antisemitism. Once the Jews have been replaced in their historical role, it becomes all too easy for antisemites to turn Jews into the new Nazis.

And their killers, whether the PLO, Hamas, or ISIS, into the new Jews.

Nasima Begum claimed that Israel's resistance to Islamic terrorism was "the Holocaust all over again" with "Palestinians" as the victims and "Zionism scum" as the perpetrators.

The Anne Frank Trust UK may find this sort of explicit wording vulgar, but it’s no coincidence that the same ideas have manifested themselves at the Anne Frank centers in Berlin and Frankfurt, at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, and now in the UK. It’s what happens when the story of the Holocaust is reframed in terms of general principles detached from the Jews.

Or as the Communists who rewrote Anne’s story had her say in the play, “We’re not the only people that have had to suffer.” The fictionalized version of a dead Jewish girl declares applause. “Sometimes one race, sometimes another.”

Transforming the Holocaust into a general story about intolerance and prejudice all too easily becomes a partisan story whose broader lesson is the moral supremacy of leftist virtues.

And those virtues are routinely used to call for the death of Israel and the murder of Jews.

Rewriting the Holocaust as a struggle between the Left and the Right is itself Holocaust revisionism because it ignores the Soviet mass murder of Jews, the Hitler-Stalin pact, and the collaboration of western Communists, including Lillian Hellman, in that Communist crime.

Hellman had defended the Hitler-Stalin Pact and participated in the Communist-front “Keep America Out of War Committee”, making her a Nazi collaborator, and yet was allowed to play a role in transforming the story of a murdered Jewish girl into leftist agitprop.

While Hellman was suppressing Anne’s Jewishness, the Soviet Union was suppressing the Jewish elements of the Holocaust. True Jewish commemorations of the Holocaust were banned in the Soviet Union. Any discussion about the mass murder of Jews was tightly controlled. Even while it was covering up the Holocaust, the Soviet Union launched a propaganda campaign against the newly reborn State of Israel whose key elements, including the apartheid smear, are still widely in use among leftists, including those operating at Anne Frank centers, today.

Before Islamists were shouting, "Death to you Zionist scum", Communists were shouting it.

The Soviet regime’s favorite taunt though was slurring Zionists as “fascists” or “Nazis”. A Communist regime that had massacred Jews and collaborated with the Nazis originated the smearing of Israel, of Zionists, and of Jews as Nazis.  The latest such incident at an Anne Frank Center is the long legacy of the leftist hijacking of the Holocaust to justify the murder of Jews.

The State Department helped fund a film festival in September that featured movies depicting drag queens, incest, and pedophilia, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

Queer Lisboa, an international queer film festival held in Portugal, was given $10,000 as part of the Biden administration’s push to “support LGBTQ+ and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility efforts” abroad, according to a State Department spokeswoman. The festival’s offerings included P.S. Burn This Letter Please, a documentary about drag culture in post-war New York City, Saint-Narcisse, a film about incestuous twins, and Minyan, a movie about a 17-year-old Jewish boy who leaves his parents to explore New York City’s gay scene and eventually has sex with an adult bartender.

The event was one of several bankrolled by taxpayers to promote LGBT acceptance abroad. In the last year, the State Department funded the “first gender and sexuality library in Lebanon,” provided diversity and inclusion consulting to Latin American police forces, and hosted a transgender recognition webinar in Norway, according to an interagency report. The department said locals sometimes pushed back against LGBT promotion, perceiving it as “Western,” “imported,” or “against cultural or religious values.”…

Heinous crimes, including the burning of the American flag, severe vandalism of private property, attempted arson, and the wielding of dangerous, deadly weapons by radical pro-abortion protestors railing against churches and crisis pregnancy centers continue to be on the rise in the weeks following the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold a Mississippi abortion ban that struck down the controversial 1973 decision Roe v. Wade, which held abortion as a constitutional right in America for nearly 50 years.

A stunning list compiled by the Washington Stand includes more than 85 attacks on houses of worship and pregnancy support centers in the 78 days since a May 2 leaked draft opinion by Politico suggested the high court would rule in favor of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, thus paving the way for the overruling of Roe.

The New American previously reported on multiple attacks on pro-life organizations and churches beginning in May and spanning from Washington State to Wisconsin to New York. Still, the spree of terror facing these bedrock institutions is increasing quickly.  

On July 12, the Senate Judiciary Committee heard disturbing testimony from a director of a pregnancy center in Sacramento, who described how her center was approached by a man armed with a machete. The grim incident forced the clinic to close a mobile care unit and hire more than 25 full-time security guards to protect the center’s staff and clients.

Seeking Stiffer Penalties

In response to the surging crime, Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) introduced the Pregnancy Resource Center Defense Act to increase protections for pregnancy centers and churches and to toughen the penalties for criminals committing acts of aggression and hate.

Pregnancy resource centers and houses of worship are currently guaranteed federal-level protection under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE)Act. According to that law, enacted in 1994 in the wake of escalated attacks by anti-abortion activists on abortion clinics, violators can face up to tens of thousands of dollars in fines and a maximum of three years in prison, depending on the number of offenses committed. First-time offenders may be fined no more than $10,000 and sentenced to no more than a year in jail.

Hawley’s bill stipulates steeper penalties for crimes against pregnancy resource centers as well as houses of worship. As stated on the senator’s website, protections include:

  • Increasing criminal penalties from a misdemeanor to a felony for first-time offenses, and increasing the criminal fine from $10,000 to $25,000
  • Guaranteeing that pregnancy resource centers and religious facilities that successfully sue will receive no less than $20,000 (a $10,000 increase)
  • Imposing a 7-year mandatory minimum when attacks involve arson (up from a 5-year mandatory minimum)

In a July 14 statement, Hawley tore into the Biden administration for ignoring the ongoing vile acts committed against pro-life organizations and churches.

“The Biden Administration has turned a blind eye while radical leftists attack pregnancy care centers and houses of worship,” said Hawley. “And now left-wing politicians are trying to shut them down. It’s time to put an end to the attacks and get tough on thugs who engage in violence, arson, and other means of destruction.”

Democrats Respond

Hawley is no doubt referencing action taken by Democrats, including Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Congresswomen Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y.), Suzanne Bonamici (D-Ore.), and Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), who on June 23 introduced the Stop Anti-Abortion Disinformation Act.

That bill aims to end what the Democrats and the Left deem as “false advertising” by crisis pregnancy centers to discourage patients from obtaining an abortion and seeking other alternatives.  

Senator Warren has boldly called for a country-wide shut down of crisis pregnancy centers, recently telling reporters that “we need to shut them down here in Massachusetts, and we need to shut them down all around the country.”

“With a far-right Supreme Court poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, it’s more important than ever to crack down on so-called ‘crisis pregnancy centers’ that mislead women about reproductive health care. I’m working in the Senate to stop these deceptive practices and ensure every American can access the abortion care they need,” said Warren in a press release.

“No one should have to question that the person they are seeking medical advice from is actually a doctor or that information is accurate, objective, and complete,” said Congresswoman Maloney.

“It is truly disgusting that reproductive rights are being threatened and attacked by crisis pregnancy centers whose guiding principle is to mislead, misinform, and outright lie to pregnant people in order to dissuade them from having an abortion. It is long past time that we prohibit these predatory tactics to undermine reproductive rights. This legislation cracks down on disinformation by simply requiring the FTC to ensure honesty for those that advertise reproductive healthcare,” Maloney continued.

Team Hawley Draws an Alliance

Senator Hawley, along with his wife, Erin Hawley — a former law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and senior counsel at the Alliance for Defending Freedom — has been in the media spotlight in recent days, as Congress begins to hold hearings on abortion access and the legal ramifications of the overturning of Roe.

On July 13, Erin Hawley faced questioning during a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing by Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) about the threat that ectopic pregnancies pose for women.

Ectopic pregnancies are defined as a fertilized egg implanted outside the uterus, in a location such as a fallopian tube, that cannot support the pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancies often place the mother’s life in danger.

“When an ectopic pregnancy ruptures, what are the chances it can be carried safely to term?” Pressley asked Hawley. 

Hawley stated that an ectopic pregnancy cannot be carried safely to term and, “that’s why the treatment for ectopic pregnancies is not an abortion.”

“Again, can you just answer the question?” Pressley fired back. “When an ectopic pregnancy ruptures what are the chances it can be carried safely to term? And you know what, just to make clearer, I’m looking for a number between 0 and 100.”

“I believe zero ectopic pregnancies — even those that do not rupture — have a chance of successfully being carried to term,” Hawley responded. “That’s why the treatment for them is not an abortion.”

Pressley went on to say Hawley had a “deficit in her understanding,” citing the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists that treatment for an ectopic pregnancy requires ending that pregnancy.

However, even the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists clearly states that “a tubal ectopic pregnancy will never be viable. It cannot move or be moved to a place in the uterus where it can safely grow to delivery. There are two methods used to treat a tubal ectopic pregnancy: medication and surgery.” (Emphasis added.)

Along with his wife, Senator Hawley has pledged to end abortion in America. His new legislation will encourage a stronger crackdown on violent groups such as Jane’s Revenge that vow to take down pro-life organizations.

In addition to Hawley, Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), and Rob Portman (R-Ohio) have also called for greater action from the Department of Justice and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to protect Americans from violence at crisis pregnancy centers and churches. The FBI has claimed investigations in a number of reported cases; yet few if, any, arrests have been made, and of those arrests by local law enforcement, the perpetrators have been released back into society within a couple of days.

While Hawley’s intentions are certainly noble, from a constitutional perspective, this only serves to give more power to the federal government over law enforcement, which should be left at the state and local level. Breaking and entering, vandalism, destruction of property, and threats or actions of violence are already illegal. True conservatives, while pro-life, should not support such federal overreach, no matter how well-intentioned.

Regardless, conservatives fighting for life cannot back down now. Taking a strong stance and supporting pro-life clinics, organizations, and churches by praying, volunteering, and donating is imperative to give women the ability to keep their babies instead of killing them. This is but one way the pro-life movement can and should respond to the scary reality of a post-Roe America.

“Sabotage Joe” fake president threatens to declare CLIMATE EMERGENCY and invoke destructive executive orders to shut down America’s entire energy infrastructure

Imagine no more. “Sabotage Joe” is reportedly planning on declaring a climate emergency and invoking executive orders that would make all these things a reality.

With these executive orders, America would be plunged into Third World status, with near-total economic collapse, mass starvation, widespread power grid failures, and civil unrest events off the charts. This is the plan of the climate cultists who are now at war with human civilization and who seek the complete dismantling of fossil fuel infrastructure across planet Earth, even if it means billions of people are plunged into poverty and starvation. Climate cultists demand Sabotage Joe dismantle America’s fossil fuel infrastructure and leave the country in shambles

As both the Washington Post and Associated Press are reporting, Joe Biden is poised to declare a climate emergency and sign executive orders that would strangle America’s energy infrastructure. Biden’s destructive executive orders are reported to be based on this document from The Center for Biological Diversity, which outlines the following demands to collapse America’s energy infrastructure:

  1. Banning all oil exports from America, bankrupting many of America’s oil companies.
    1. Ban all oil extraction and exploration from 11 million acres of ocean waters off the coastline of the continental United States. This would drive a stake through the heart of America’s energy supply and bankrupt oil operations nationwide.
    2. Ban the importation of most fossil fuels, making sure that America’s collapsing domestic supply could not be replaced with energy from other countries.
    3. Halt oil extraction from the Permian Basin, which currently supplies about 25% of America’s domestic oil. The EPA is also trying to do this through a regulatory attack.
    4. Ban construction of most fossil fuel infrastructure projects such as refineries, pipelines or drilling rigs.

Taken together, these actions represent a suicide cult blueprint for the collapse of America by taking away the energy infrastructure that allows this nation to operate. Without oil and natural gas, the United States of America would have no way to transport coal to power plants, resulting in nationwide blackouts and the collapse of most industry and private sector operations. This, in turn, would result in mass joblessness, homelessness and destitution.

Without affordable fuel for transportation and logistics:

  • Food would not be delivered to grocery stores
  • Agriculture and farming operations would cease
  • All construction and road repair would grind to a halt
  • Coal would not be delivered to power plants
  • Consumer goods would not get delivered to retail stores
  • No replacement parts would be available for anything: Air conditioners, tractors, cars, buses, airplanes, etc.

In essence, if these executive orders are invoked and allowed to stand, it would mean the total destruction of America and a catastrophic collapse into a Third World existence. Almost certainly, at least 200 million Americans would die in the collapse due to mass starvation, violence, social unrest, suicides and more. The nation would be gutted.

This is apparently what climate cultists want, of course: The complete extermination of human civilization, which they consider to be a scourge on the planet. To save the Earth, they believe, they must wipe out most human beings living today. Achieving that requires an economic collapse and widespread food scarcity, so these policies are designed to achieve precisely those outcomes.

Climate cultists are eco-terrorists

Because climate cultists believe they are fighting for the very survival of the planet, there’s no limit to the number of human beings they will murder to achieve their stated goals. That’s why climate cultists are actually eco-terrorists who repeatedly target human civilization and human infrastructure with acts of sabotage. They see human infrastructure as destructive and human beings as carbon polluters. They will not be satisfied until they tear down every system that keeps humanity alive, including agriculture, transportation, and the power grid.

Only in darkness and destitution will the climate cultists find happiness. (Natural News) It’s become patently obvious that Joe Biden’s handlers, all of whom are sycophantic left-wing followers of Barack Obama, are intentionally destroying our economy and the American energy sector because poor people are much easier to control as slaves.

That’s the view of Fox News host and top radio talker Mark Levin, who explained what was going on during a recent program on the network.

“Joe Biden and the Democrat Party are, in fact, responsible for sabotaging our economy and sabotaging our energy industry. It has nothing to do with foreign forces and foreign powers or boogeymen. It has something to do with actual policies that have been in the process now for decades,” the host said in his opening monologue on Sunday’s “Life, Liberty, & Levin” program on Fox, which added:

Levin said the policies Democrats “put under the nomenclature of climate change or the Green New Deal” were originally introduced in the 1970s at a conference in Europe where academics, professors, Marxist activists, and left-wing politicians came up with climate control as a system through which they would push their economic agenda.

“[German philosopher Karl] Marx hated the industrial society, and he was relatively shocked when he saw, particularly in the latter parts of his life, that in the United States, as our industries grew, as our capitalist system expanded economic activity and prosperity, that rather than the proletariat, the workers rising up and overthrowing the bourgeoisie, the owners and the managers, quite the opposite occurred,” Levin explained.

“The lifestyle for most people went up,” Levin said. “We created this vast middle class, which is the heart and soul of America and the American system. It’s the opposite of what Marx intended. And the leftists have been fighting this ever since for the last 100 years, and now it’s come to a head.”

He went on to point out that the Biden regime is replete with the “most radical appointees” ever named to head up various federal departments in the country’s history, and of course, that was by design.

“They are abiding by this half-century old degrowth movement. They can call it whatever they want, but that’s exactly what it is. It is a war on capitalism. And you know what? It’s working,” he said, going on to blast the Biden admin excuse that prices of food, gasoline, diesel fuel, and nearly everything else Americans need on a daily basis is the fault of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the so-called “Putin Price Hike” lie.

What’s more, Levin is well aware of what the plan is over the long haul: Break the economy and leave it broken.

“It’s not Putin. It’s not the world economy. It is Biden and the Biden administration and the Democrats who have embraced every syllable of this propaganda,” he said. “Let me be abundantly clear,” he said.

“This has nothing to do with Russia invading Ukraine. It has nothing to do with Saudi Arabia. It has nothing to do with anything but Joe Biden, the Democrat Congress, and the radicals. And you know what their plan is to fix the energy situation? They have no plan. They broke the system, and they have no intention of fixing it,” he added.

Not all Democrats have lost their minds.

Sen. Joe Manchin of W. Va. has regularly blasted Biden and his own party for inflationary policies that are reaming average Americans.

“No matter what spending aspirations some in Congress may have, it is clear to anyone who visits a grocery store or a gas station that we cannot add any more fuel to this inflation fire,” he said, echoing a familiar theme that he believes massive government spending is in large part responsible for runaway inflation, now at the highest levels in more than 40 years.

“Today’s inflation data illustrates the pain families across the country are feeling as costs continue to rise at a historic rate,” Manchin added in a statement posted to his Senate website.

“9.1% is cause for serious concern. Items like chicken, eggs and lunchmeat have increased to new highs, while energy costs rose more than 40% in June with those that can least afford it suffering the most,” he said.

I’d say producing a tourism commercial to boost the income of the terror-sponsoring regime whose lifelong obsession is the destruction of the nation Jill Biden presides over as First Lady is much worse than the taco quip—especially when this tourism commercial was co-produced with a KGB-trained spy who was booted from the U.S. for espionage. To wit:

More interestingly, during Jill Biden’s co-production with communist apparatchiks of her Potemkin tourism commercial to boost the income of Castro’s military and secret police who majority own Cuba’s tourism industry— her frequent escort was a Cuban lady named Josefina Vidal.

The KGB-trained Vidal was expelled from the U.S. in October 2003 for her suspected operational links to Cuban spy Ana Belen Montes, responsible for the deepest and most damaging penetration of the U.S. Department of Defense in recent history. Montes was known as “Castro’s Queen Jewell” by the intelligence community and was convicted of the same crimes as Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. Today Montes serves a 25-year sentence in federal prison. Only a plea bargain saved her from frying like the Rosenbergs. If Jill Biden suspected Vidal’s background, she gave no indication. 

While Joe Biden served as U.S. vice president, President Obama, employing executive order after executive order, whittled down the (so-called) Cuba embargo and opened a U.S. economic lifeline to the terror-sponsoring Castro regime to a point where the cash flow from the U.S. to Cuba (mostly in remittances and the tourism spending Jill Biden so graciously boosted) exceeded what the Soviets used to send Cuba at the height of their Castro-sponsorship. No small “achievement.”

As a result—and in a thundering refutation of the liberal/libertarian/Castroite propaganda line that an avalanche of U.S. tourists and their dollars would magically convert Cuba’s Stalinist rulers into Rotarians and their fiefdom into a Caribbean Switzerland—during this Obama/Biden-engineered deluge of U.S. dollars, Castroite repression increased both in Cuba and in their Venezuelan colony.      

Speaking of Cuba’s colonies. When President Reagan was fighting tooth and nail to arm the anti-communist Nicaraguan Contras in their desperate fight against the Soviet/Cuban colonization of their homeland, Senator Joe Biden was just as desperately fighting against the anti-communist freedom-fighters.  

Three different times (in 1984, 1986, 1987) Senator Joe Biden voted and lobbied AGAINST Reagan’s attempts to help the anti-communist Nicaraguan Contras, who were being helped by many Bay-of-Pigs affiliated Cuban American heroes including (Che Guevara captor) Felix Rodriguez as volunteers. Years earlier, Biden had distinguished himself by voting and lobbying AGAINST helping the anti-communist South Vietnamese against their Soviet-lavished mass-murdering enemies. 

“I met so many strong women in Cuba!…Cuba is full of STRONG WOMEN!” Jill Biden gushes in her Cuba tourism commercial. 

She’s right. Problem is, Biden never met with ANY of them – or featured them in her regime-co-produced commercial. There’s absolutely no mention of the Ladies in White. Instead, Biden’s version of “Cuban strong women” is the regime apparatchiks who OPPRESS and TORTURE the Ladies in White–and who spy on the U.S.

Cuban women’s prison conditions were described by former Cuban political prisoner Maritza Lugo: “The punishment cells measure 3 feet wide by 6 feet long. The toilet consisted of an 8-inch hole in the ground through which cockroaches and rats enter, especially in cool temperatures the rats come inside to seek the warmth of our bodies and we were often bitten. For weeks we’d be locked up in total darkness with a little cup of filthy water daily to drink. Nothing to wash or to flush the excrement and vermin crammed whole that passed for a toilet. Nothing to wash away the menstrual fluid that caked our legs. The suicide rate among women prisoners was very high.”

Indeed a study found that by 1986, Cuban women’s suicide rate reached twenty-four per thousand – making it double Latin America's average, making it triple Cuba's pre-Castro rate, making Cuban women the most suicidal in the world.

How these women survived years and even decades of such horrors and then “took charge of their lives” and “got their groove back,” might seem newsworthy and inspirational. Indeed their stories fairly epitomize the most popular themes of women’s chat shows. You can almost hear Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” as Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg greet these long-suffering but somehow-surviving Cuban ladies on stage with a standing ovation, sniffles, and teary hugs. 

Ha! Instead, “the national media has never shown the slightest interest in any of our stories,” shrugs Caridad Roque from Miami today. Roque was arrested by Castro’s KGB-trained police at the age of 19 and suffered 16 years of prison and torture in Cuba.     

Her torturer, on the other hand, has been fawningly interviewed by feminists from Barbara Walters to Andrea Mitchell and from Maria Shriver to Oriana Fallaci. On a visit to Cuba in 2002, feminist pioneer Carole King (also at the “Women’s March”) sang Fidel Castro a personal and heartfelt “You’ve Got a Friend.”

The media treats opposition to illegal migration as simple racism. One of the basic experiential points that are ignored is the sheer havoc inflicted on local communities. Now the Imperial City is getting a taste of it thanks to Texas and then Arizona busing Biden’s illegal migrants over to Washington D.C.

As Arizona’s Governor Ducey tweeted to D.C.’s Mayor Bowser, “Welcome to our world.”

Members of the DC Council are calling on Mayor Muriel Bowser to act as Arizona and Texas officials continue to bus hundreds of migrants to Union Station.

Councilmembers Brianne Nadeau, Robert White, Elissa Silverman, Charles Allen, Janeese Lewis George, Mary Cheh, Brooke Pinto, Christina Henderson, Vincent Gray, and Chairman Phil Mendelson sent Mayor Bowser a letter Thursday about the situation at Union Station.

The letter calls on District government to provide contingency funding toward the purchase of travel tickets, food, petty cash, cell phones, and emergent medical needs of arrivals until it receives money from federal or philanthropic entities to address the issue.

The ten DC Councilmembers also want the arrivals from Texas to be provided access to COVID testing, isolation hotels, and a space of respite somewhere near Union Station that will provide food and hygiene necessities, among other things.

“We condemn these actions by Governors Abbott and Ducey, who have demonstrated no regard for people who are exercising their human right to seek asylum,” the letter reads. “The District, on the other hand, has a history of serving all residents who settle here, regardless of immigration status.”

Mayor Bowser’s office has not responded to multiple requests from WUSA9 about efforts to assist asylum seekers.

The exact number of people who have been bused to D.C. from Texas is unclear. According to the DC Council, the District has received more than 100 buses carrying around 3,400 people.

At the time, roughly 3,000 people had been sent to the District at a cost of $1,795 to the Texas government.

The Texas government is now crowdfunding online to continue contracting charter buses.

Pennies on the dollar, considering the cost that illegal migrants inflict on local communities. 

Mayor Bowser finally responded in the expected way.

‘Well, this is a very significant issue,’ Bowser told CBS News Sunday morning program Face the Nation. ‘We have for sure called on the federal government to work across state lines to prevent people from really being tricked into getting on buses.’

“Admiral” Rachel Levine, the cross-dressing man-lady and No. 2 health official in the country, unbosomed another big lie on MSNBC on Monday.

“Transgender” kids aren’t mentally ill because they are “trans,” he said, they are mentally ill because they are bullied, and cannot find acceptance.

Levine, whose real name is Richard, wants to “empower” those tortured young souls by permitting them to persist in the false belief that they are the “wrong” gender, and, of course, get “gender-affirming” treatment. That means the “right” to neuter themselves with “sex reassignment surgery,” the medical term for the mutilation of their sex organs.

Bullying the Problem

Ever since Joe Biden hired the cross-dressing pretend woman as the assistant secretary of Health and Human Services, he — Levine — has been pushing the idea that kids can be “trans.”

HHS, for instance, has declared that denying “gender-affirming treatment” to a kid with “gender dysphoria” — the term that describes the false belief that one is the “wrong” gender — is illegal, as The New American reported in April.

Levine, who was married for almost 30 years when he declared himself a woman, reinforced science-denying “transgender” ideology when he spoke with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell.

He claimed that trans kids are going crazy because they’re bullied.

“Well, you know, trans youth are vulnerable, and they suffer significant harassment and bullying, sometimes in schools or their community,” Levine said. “They have more mental health issues, but there’s nothing inherent with being transgender or gender diverse, which would predispose youth to depression or anxiety.”

That, of course, is utterly false, as renowned psychiatrist Dr. Paul McHugh has repeatedly warned.

Continued Levine:

It’s that harassment and bullying. Now they are suffering politically motivated attacks through state actions against these vulnerable transgender youth. This is not based upon data. These actions are politically motivated. And so we really want to base our treatment and affirm and to support and empower these youth, not to limit their participation activities in sports and even limit their ability to get gender-affirmation treatment in their state.

Levine advocates chemically castrating boys and sterilizing girls with puberty blockers, and says that “trans” kids must be stopped before going through the “wrong puberty.”

“The first phase at the young adolescent age is to give what is called a pubertal blocker, to give a medicine to block the progression of puberty, so you don’t go through the wrong puberty,” he said in 2017. 

Between 14 and 16 years of age, kids would get “cross-gender hormones.”

Even worse, though, if Levine gets his mitts on your kids, “they never go through the wrong puberty,” he continued:

That way, for a transgender woman, male to female, their voice doesn’t drop, they don’t have hair, they don’t have to have electrolysis. For a transgender man, they don’t have breast development that will need surgery, they don’t have periods, etc.

So you block puberty … and then at the appropriate time send them through the puberty consistent with their gender identity.

Levine, and Biden himself, actually call that “gender-affirming” healthcare.

Psychiatrist Needed

Levine’s claims are as wrong as they are dangerous, McHugh has observed.

McHugh says that some men — perhaps Levine is one of them, like Bruce Jenner, who calls himself Caitlyn — dress as women because it arouses them sexually. But most kids with “gender dysphoria” don’t have that problem. Instead, they have “psychosocial” problems.

“Gender dysphoria — the official psychiatric term for feeling oneself to be of the opposite sex — belongs in the family of similarly disordered assumptions about the body, such as anorexia nervosa and body dysmorphic disorder,” McHugh wrote in 2015:

Its treatment should not be directed at the body as with surgery and hormones any more than one treats obesity-fearing anorexic patients with liposuction. The treatment should strive to correct the false, problematic nature of the assumption and to resolve the psychosocial conflicts provoking it. With youngsters, this is best done in family therapy.

But that isn’t happening, he said, because tranny ideologues such as Levine rule the leftist media and the government.

“The larger issue is the meme itself,” McHugh continued:

The idea that one’s sex is fluid and a matter open to choice runs unquestioned through our culture and is reflected everywhere in the media, the theater, the classroom, and in many medical clinics. It has taken on cult-like features: its own special lingo, internet chat rooms providing slick answers to new recruits, and clubs for easy access to dresses and styles supporting the sex change. It is doing much damage to families, adolescents, and children and should be confronted as an opinion without biological foundation wherever it emerges.

That truth won’t stop Levine or Biden from pushing “trans” ideology on the country, as the appointment of a sex freak who enjoys “pup play” well shows.

What Biden didn’t know is that Sam Brinton, who runs the nation’s nuclear waste disposal bureau at the Energy Department, has defended underage prostitution.

If you needed one example of how destructive leftism has been to mainstream Christianity, both Catholic and Protestant, and to non-Orthodox Judaism, this banner would suffice.

God says, “Protect Abortion Access For All”? Where? Why? Terminating innocent life, that’s God’s will? Does this include abortions of viable babies undergone by healthy mothers? Is that, too, God’s will?

“Ensure black lives matter”? Blacks, like every other racial, ethnic, and national grouping of human beings are created in God’s image. But if this banner implies support for the group Black Lives Matter, that is another matter. God abhors groups that affirm racism. Unlike the Left, the Bible knows that anyone, black or white, can be racist.

As regards LGBTQ+, the Bible goes out of its way to uphold divine distinctions such as good and evil, God and human, human and animal, and male and female. When God creates the human being, the Bible asserts this last distinction as clearly as possible: “Male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27).

“Turn guns into plows” is, of course, taken from the Prophet Isaiah’s call to “Beat your swords into plows” (Isaiah 2:4). Unfortunately for the Church of the Covenant, another biblical prophet says the very opposite: “Beat your plows into swords… let the weak say, I am strong” (Joel 4:10). Unlike the Left, the Bible understands that while the ultimate dream is that human beings have no need for swords, until that messianic age, the weak must have swords.

As for abandoning fossil fuels, these ubiquitous sources of energy have been one of God’s gifts to humanity. Without them, the modern world would not have been possible. No hospitals, no reliable heat in the winter (not to mention cold in the summer), no transportation beyond riding animals. No modern medicine. Nothing in the way of modern technology. Just a primitive life — and a short and painful one at that. God would say before abandoning these fuels, make sure you have a reliable substitute. (We do: nuclear power.) Until then, thank God for His gift of fossil fuels.

As regards sanctuary, if the meaning is sanctuaries for illegal aliens, on the basis of what biblical idea does the Church of the Covenant infer that God wants America — or any other country — to have open borders?

“Abolishing prisons” alone is an idea that should alienate any rational and moral human being from the Left. Abolishing prisons means allowing an enormous number of innocent people to be murdered and beaten, of women to be raped, of shops to be looted, and of children to be molested. Nothing exemplifies the moral idiocy at the heart of leftism as well as “abolish prisons.”

If a traditional church did put up such a banner, it would make national news and its leaders would be dismissed as right-wing religious zealots for putting words into God’s mouth. Only left-wing churches and synagogues are allowed to speak for the Almighty.

Of all the Ten Commandments, only one states that its violation cannot be forgiven. It is the Third Commandment: “Do not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain because He will not forgive whoever takes His name in vain.”

Nearly everyone familiar with the Commandment thinks the Commandment prohibits saying the word “God” outside of prayer or Bible study. But it cannot mean that. What kind of God would forgive a murderer but not someone who said, “God, did I have a tough day at work today”?

Clearly, the Third Commandment must mean something else. And it does. As I explain in my Bible commentary, “The Rational Bible,” the Hebrew actually says, “Do not carry the name of the Lord thy God in vain…”

“Carry,” not “take.”

Doing evil in God’s name or attaching God’s name to false or immoral ideas is the one sin God will not forgive.

And that is the sin of left-wing churches and synagogues. They carry God’s name in vain. Indeed, they desecrate it.

What is happening to Christianity and Judaism provides yet another example of the most important principle of modern life: Whatever the Left touches it destroys.

If you’ve always wanted to see AOC (pretend to) do the perp walk, now’s your chance. Axios is reporting that at least 17 Democrat members of the House have been arrested for participating in the Marxist protest tactic of blocking traffic on a public road.

U.S. Capitol Police began arresting the representatives after they ignored three warnings to stop blocking traffic on a street in Washington, D.C., near the Supreme Court.

Jennifer Shutt, Washington senior reporter at States Newsroom, posted about the incident on Twitter:

“Members of Congress and abortion rights advocates being taken away by Capitol Police aren’t being handcuffed or zip tied. They’re being taken to a shady area to be processed” — sounds rough!

One of the arrestees, Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.), told Axios, “There is no democracy if women do not have control over their own bodies and decisions about their own health, including reproductive care.”

Gun permits based on political views. It’s on the horizon for many Americans.

That’s because left-wingers in California, a trend-setting state, have cooked up a new way to stop Republicans, conservatives, libertarians, moderates, and anyone else who refuses to toe the politically correct line from defending themselves from the crime wave that their policies have unleashed on America.

The day after the Supreme Court recognized the constitutional right of Americans to carry guns in public for self-defense, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, a Democrat, began pressing officials across the state to deny public-carry gun licenses to people deemed to harbor feelings of “hatred and racism.”

Bonta, for what it’s worth, is in trouble because his office leaked the names and addresses of every single concealed carry permit holder in California. Some now fear for their lives thanks to his incompetence.

The high court ruling in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen, came down June 23. It held that part of New York state’s concealed carry gun permitting system was unconstitutional because it only authorized public-carry licenses “when an applicant demonstrates a special need for self-defense.” The landmark 6-3 decision (pdf), written by Justice Clarence Thomas, recognized a constitutional right to carry guns in public for self-defense for the first time in the nation’s history.

Of course, early gun control laws in America were in some cases motivated by racism. The “Black Codes” adopted in southern states prevented blacks from keeping and bearing arms.

As High Country News reported last year, in California a 1923 law blocked non-citizens from having concealable firearms. Because of the federal Chinese Exclusion Act, many Chinese people in the state could not own guns because they could not become citizens. A San Francisco Chronicle article from back then celebrated the disarming of Chinese and Latino residents.

“Where the officials have the discretion in terms of gun licensing, there’s a very clear historic pattern of discrimination,” the article quoted Robert Cottrol, a history professor at George Washington University, saying.

After the Supreme Court spoke, Bonta promptly pulled a bait-and-switch, following Bruen by dropping the state’s “good cause” requirement but beefing up California’s “good moral character” requirement. In his June 24 “legal alert” (pdf) to gun permit issuers, he said that to assess whether an applicant had “good moral character” authorities could rely on the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department policy, which states:

“Legal judgments of good moral character can include consideration of honesty, trustworthiness, diligence, reliability, respect for the law, integrity, candor, discretion, observance of fiduciary duty, respect for the rights of others, absence of hatred and racism, fiscal stability, profession-specific criteria such as pledging to honor the Constitution and uphold the law, and the absence of criminal conviction.” [italics added]

Bonta also reminded the permit issuers that they “may search publicly available information, including social media accounts, in assessing the applicant’s character.”

Although some of the “good moral character” criteria seem straightforward, some seem unfair.

The requirement for “fiscal stability” seems likely to deprive poor people living in dangerous neighborhoods and those with bad credit ratings from getting a carry permit, leaving them at the mercy of violent illegal gun-toting criminals.

But the phrase “absence of hatred and racism” really, really, really raises red flags.

What exactly are “hatred and racism” in the eyes of Left Coast public safety bureaucrats?

The answer seems to be: anything a woke government official says it is.

Racism, of course, is an infinitely malleable concept in the hands of people who despise America and all it stands for.

To leftists, opposition to critical race theory, Islamism, affirmative action, open borders, and tax cuts are some of the more obvious current examples of racism. Respecting the American flag, the Constitution, the police and law and order, capitalism, tradition, and Israel are also seen as evidence of racism. And liking Donald Trump and Republicans is, at the moment, the worst kind of racism there is, according to leftists.

This is not, by the way, an exhaustive agglomeration of hallucinated racism and with the continuing popularity of inventive woke gurus like Ibram X. Kendi the list grows longer every day.

And what about hatred?

By hatred, leftists are really referring to ideas they regard as hateful because they run counter to the radical worldview. In other words, wrongthink.

“Hatred,” though, is a difficult word to make money off of. Like the fundraising-obsessed charlatans at the Southern Poverty Law Center, radicals prefer the shorter, more marketable word “hate.”

They don’t care that actual, plain old dictionary definition hate, and the expression of it, “hate speech,” an admittedly nebulous concept, is entirely lawful.

Leftists will adamantly deny it until they’re Democrat-blue in the face, but hate speech is protected by the Constitution, as the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) reminds us.

Americans are allowed to express anger and hostility. Nothing in the Bill of Rights requires everyone to think happy thoughts and say nice things.

“Speech by adults as free citizens does not lose First Amendment protection because it is considered hateful. This is because hate speech in and of itself is protected speech, particularly when spoken by adults on their own time,” according to a February FIRE report.

The only categories of speech that aren’t protected by the First Amendment are instances of “incitement to imminent lawless action,” “speech that threatens serious bodily harm,” and “speech that causes an immediate breach of the peace,” the so-called fighting words exception.

Worryingly, eradicating “hate” –which, like racism nowadays, is in the eye of the beholder— is an official priority for Bonta.

Hate is everywhere in California, he claimed on June 28.

“The pandemic gave way to an epidemic of hate. We saw the bigoted words of our former president turn a trickle of hate into a flood that remains with us,” Bonta said.

In May of last year, he created a new “Racial Justice Bureau” within the California Department of Justice. His press release at the time said the new office will “help tackle some of California’s most pressing racial and social justice issues head-on.”

The bureau is tasked with doing a whole bunch of things that have nothing to do with law enforcement.

Among other things, it will monitor “the insidious effects of white supremacy and hate organizations on our society” and assist a task force in studying and developing “reparation proposals for African Americans.”

California already gives grants to left-wing community organizations to fight “hate,” which leads to predictable results.

On March 28, the state announced grants to several groups including Chinese for Affirmative Action, Chinese Progressive Association, and UCLA’s Labor Center. On June 20 it awarded a little over $2.6 million to one of America’s most prominent real-life hate groups, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a subversive, anti-Semitic organization that leftists reflexively defend because they abhor Greco-Roman-Judeo-Christian Western Civilization.

Returning to the good moral character provision, UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh wrote in a Reason column that he was disturbed at Bonta’s suggestion “that people who hold certain ideological viewpoints should be disqualified.”

Bonta giving issuing authorities a green light to sift through applicants’ social media accounts in search of evidence of their character “strikes me as clearly unconstitutional under the First Amendment, even apart from the Second Amendment.”

This writer recently interviewed C.D. “Chuck” Michel of the law firm Michel and Associates about Bonta’s mischief-making.

Michel is president of the California Rifle and Pistol Association and the Second Amendment Law Center. Michel also wrote California Gun Laws: A Guide to State and Federal Firearm Regulations, a 532-page vade mecum that is in its ninth edition.

“The problem with the good moral character policy that the attorney general seems to be encouraging is that it’s completely subjective and would allow a city to evaluate an applicant based on their politics, not on whether they’re a threat or not or whether they’re actually some kind of a bad character,” Michel said.

“So we’re deeply concerned that that kind of subjective, politicized criteria creeps into this process. It’s something that the Supreme Court warned against, and it’s something that will definitely bring legal action if cities or counties try and adopt something like that.”

“Trying to evaluate somebody’s good moral character by the comments that they make, or the articles—maybe they don’t even say anything—they may just curate, pass along, share” on social media, is dangerous, the lawyer said.

“And you’re going to be judged for that … by someone who’s politically inclined, perhaps, to try and find a way not to issue permits,” he said.

“So they’re looking for things that they can use as an excuse to not issue a permit—that’s what the subtext of Bonta’s alert really is.”

“This is what we’re calling the blue resistance,” he said. It is part of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) strategy “to minimize the real effect of the Supreme Court ruling and try and get around it by setting up all these other types of roadblocks. Basically, red tape the right to death.”

Michel made it clear that he is “100 percent against hate speech and racism, but anything can be called hate speech, and anything can be labeled racism these days, so I’m very nervous about a policy that does some kind of a blanket [approach].”

“Anybody can define those terms in a way that condemns a broad swath of society that in my view is neither hateful [nor] racist.”

Interestingly, a handful of left-wingers say that the good moral character provision in other laws is itself racist. In a 2017 piece at Sociology In Focus, Siena College sociology professor Beverly Yuen Thompson applied a disparate-impact-like analysis, writing, “A modern example of structural racism can be found in the ‘good moral character’ clause that bars many people of color from the legal marijuana industry.”

“In legal marijuana states, their laws often include a ‘good moral character’ clause, requiring prospective owners and employees, to submit to a criminal background check. Marijuana legalization laws often ban workers with drug convictions from working in the industry, especially in medical marijuana states.” In states with the clause, “these prior convictions disproportionately prevent people of color from joining the newly legal marijuana economy.”

This perspective is an outlier among leftists, and their ideas about so-called structural racism in America are absurd, but hey, it’s something. Maybe an ACLU attorney somewhere agrees and this will in some small way help the cause of California gun-permit applicants trying to avail themselves of their Second Amendment rights.

The real issue here is whether gun permit-issuing authorities in California can be trusted to apply the good moral character provision in a politically-neutral, ideologically-neutral way in light of Bonta’s commitment to using fuzzy, social-justice criteria in the gun-licensing process.

Don’t bet your life on it.

Gas prices have gone through the roof and are promising to get worse. The President of the United States, deeply beholden to the green Left, steadfastly refuses to reverse the extensive damage he has done to the domestic oil industry and instead goes hat in hand to Saudi Arabia to plead with the leaders of the state he once called a “pariah” to lower oil prices. They refuse. The president’s administration has mounted disquieting initiatives to restrict the freedom of speech and brand law-abiding Americans as terrorists while sending billions to Ukraine in the teeth of the economic suffering of the folks at home. After the president and his team catastrophically botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan, America is substantially weakened on the world stage, and her enemies are emboldened.

In the midst of all this and more, the first lady of the United States has a message of hope and encouragement for embattled Americans: pity poor Joe.

That’s right — we err by giving the putative president a 33% approval rating (which is surprising only in raising the question of how a third of the population could actually still support this abysmally failed president). Jill Biden — sorry, that’s Doctor Jill Biden to us plebeians — on Saturday asserted that instead, we should look upon her corrupt, dishonest kleptocrat of a husband as a tragic figure. He is a man who came into the White House full of New-Frontier idealism, ready to “transform” this nation as he had promised to do. But sadly, he was confronted with problems that no one, no one at all anywhere in this green and pleasant land, could possibly ever have anticipated. And now our rosy-cheeked idealist’s plans lie in ruins, his starry-eyed hopes dashed, the beautiful future he worked so tirelessly to guarantee for all of us now beset by dark clouds, none of which is his doing. Ah, it brings a tear to the eye. Poor Joe!

According to CNN, ol’ Doc Jill articulated her “frustration about the stalled progress of President Joe Biden’s tenure in the White House during a private Democratic National Committee fundraiser” in Nantucket. She claimed that Old Joe “has been consistently challenged by unanticipated crises while in office.” Joe, says his better and more sentient half, “had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment.” You know, like “Putin’s price hike” and all the rest of Joe’s malarkey.

As far as Jill was concerned, the fix we’re in is the fault of everyone except her honest, quick-witted, capable husband, who has just had a run of bad luck. “He’s just had so many things thrown his way. Who would have ever thought about what happened [with the Supreme Court overturning] Roe v Wade? Well, maybe we saw it coming, but still, we didn’t believe it,” she said. “The gun violence in this country is absolutely appalling. We didn’t see the war in Ukraine coming.”

Jill, uh, Doctor Jill, did not address the likelihood that Putin invaded Ukraine because he saw with the withdrawal from Afghanistan that America’s political and military leadership was weak, distracted with wokeness, and both unable and unwilling to challenge him in any significant way. And the bits about gun violence and Roe are just Leftist talking points. Jill doesn’t seem to have mentioned skyrocketing gas prices or galloping inflation at all, much less sharply rising crime rates in Democrat-run cities. Maybe she knew that blaming Putin for it all wouldn’t fly, even in Nantucket.

Jill claimed that she herself had also been diverted from her own idealistic plans by all these crises that no one could possibly have anticipated or provided for: “I was saying to myself, ‘Okay, I was second lady. I worked on community colleges. I worked on military families. I’ve worked on cancer.’ They were supposed to be my areas of focus. But then when we got [in the White House], I had to be, with all that was happening, the first lady of the moment.”

And so she knows that the Democrats unless they pull a few tricks out of their sleeve, are in for a bruising in November: “I know there are so many nay-sayers who say we’ll get slammed in the midterms. Okay. The Republicans are working hard, they stick together, for good or evil. So, we just have to work harder.” Yeah, Republicans, they stick together. Just ask Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski, Liz Cheney, Susan Collins, Adam Kinzinger, and all the rest.

Ultimately, however, for all of Jill’s self-pity and nonsense, she did convey one genuinely encouraging point: Old Joe hasn’t been able to do everything he wanted to do. For all the damage he has done to the nation, it could have been much, much worse.
