BOOSTER SHOTS TO COUNTER VACCINE FAILURE?

The scientific and public health communities are now forced to accept the fact that neutralizing antibodies after vaccination are rapidly falling, which means the vaccine is failing. Their solution? Booster shots! Will this open admission of vaccine failure lead to more ‘vaccine hesitancy’ among the large percentage of Americans refusing the jab?

Chip Roy: Biden Should Be Impeached Over Immigration Crisis

Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas) essentially gave 200,000 reasons why he believes President Joe Biden should be impeached and removed from office. After noting that more than 200,000 illegals were taken into custody in July, Roy told the Daily Wire:

Over the past several months President Biden and [DHS Secretary] Mayorkas have blatantly and consistently refused to do their constitutional duty to take care that the immigration laws be faithfully executed, as required by Article II [of the U.S. Constitution], endangering countless American and foreign lives in the process.

An average of 6,779 illegals crossing the southern border of the United States every day in July. That’s more than 200,000 for the month and, if left unchecked, would approach two and a half million for the year.

Chip Roy’s reasons for impeachment add to those outlined by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) in her impeachment filing the day after Joe Biden entered the Oval Office:

President Joe Biden is unfit to hold the office of the presidency. His pattern of abuse of power as President Obama’s Vice President is lengthy and disturbing.

President Biden has demonstrated that he will do whatever it takes to bail out his son, Hunter, and line his family’s pockets with cash from corrupt foreign energy companies.

President Biden is even on tape admitting to a quid pro quo with the Ukrainian government threatening to withhold $1,000,000,000 in foreign aid if they did not do his bidding. President Biden residing in the White House is a threat to national security and he must be immediately impeached….

Joe Biden abused the power of the Office of the Vice President, enabling bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors, by allowing his son to influence the domestic policy of a foreign nation and accept various benefits — including financial compensation — from foreign nationals in exchange for certain favors.

After detailing Hunter’s efforts to sell his father’s influence to officials of foreign governments, Greene concluded in her articles of impeachment:

President Biden gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government. Through blatant nepotism, he enabled his son to influence foreign policy and financially benefit as a result of his role as Vice President.

He supported his son engaging in collusion with Chinese Communist party-linked officials. He allowed his son to trade appointments with his father and other high-ranking administration officials in exchange for financial compensation. He permitted his son to take money from Russian oligarchs, including Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow.

By enabling the flow of illegals to become a flood, some say Biden and his DHS secretary are threatening the very foundations of the Republic. This is the same Republic that Biden swore to uphold and defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Instead, he is allowing those enemies, both foreign and domestic, including his son Hunter, to run wild, without restraint.

The 200,000 who just entered the U.S. illegally last month merely add to the lengthening list of reasons why many say Biden should be impeached. Of course, since there is a Democrat majority in both houses of Congress, the possibility of this happening are basically zero.

ALLIE BETH STUCKEY INTERVIEW:

An Epidemic of Mandatory

BY RICHARD FERNANDEZ

SEE: https://pjmedia.com/richardfernandez/2021/08/03/an-epidemic-of-mandatory-n1466326;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

The official narrative has shifted from “we can beat the coronavirus” to “we can coexist with it but only if you follow our shifting instructions very carefully.” The pandemic has become endemic, going from something we can beat to “another virus that we’ll have to live with.” As far back as February, an article in Nature asked if we could ever be “coronavirus-free… [by maintaining] heavy restrictions… could the world hope to rid itself of the virus?”

Probably not. The good news from a San Francisco hospital coronavirus cluster is that the vaccinated don’t get very sick anymore. The bad news is that they can test positive. “At least 233 staff members at two major San Francisco hospitals, most of them fully vaccinated, tested positive for the coronavirus this month, and most, according to a hospital official, involved the highly contagious Delta variant.” However, few were seriously stricken.

Without vaccinations, Dr. Day said, the hospitalization rate would be much worse.

“We’re concerned right now that we’re on the rise of a surge here in San Francisco and the Bay Area,” Dr. Day said. “But what we’re seeing is very much what the data from the vaccines showed us: You can still get Covid, potentially. But if you do get it, it’s not severe at all.”…

Staff members at both hospitals have continued to wear personal protective equipment, Dr. Day said. But the number of staff infections reported in July is about as many as during the peak of the winter surge.

It’s like a science fiction story where the earth has been invaded by aliens, who can be contained but cannot be dislodged. This life form (the authorities think) comes from some Species X or Missing Link and nobody knows for sure what it will do next. “The virus becoming endemic is likely, but the pattern that it will take is hard to predict,” says Angela Rasmussen, a virologist from Georgetown University. Among the scenarios now envisioned are:

  1. Some regions might become temporarily virus-free but remain at risk from reinfection;
  2. The virus will never go away, but constant vaccination and restriction will prevent widespread hospitalization;
  3. Humanity will be able to eventually reduce the menace to the impotence of the common cold.

This shift in tone is a significant one because it sets the stage for an indefinite period of vigilance. Gone are the categorical expectations of quick triumph. In its place is a protracted total war where the key word is “mandatory.”

The headlines are full of the word:

  • “Factbox: Countries make COVID-19 vaccines mandatory”
  • “Check In app now mandatory if you want to enter thousands of businesses”
  • “Compulsory vaccinations for care home staff in England backed by MPs”
  • “Covid vaccine certificates to be compulsory for crowded venues in England”
  • “Anti-Covid masks now mandatory outdoors in 30 French departments”
  • “Germany Imposes Mandatory COVID-19 Testing Requirement for Unvaccinated People”
  • “New York City and California to Require Vaccines or Tests for Workers”
  • “Biden Orders Military to Move Toward Mandatory COVID Vaccine.”

Mandatory, compulsory, required and we might break even, cross our hearts and hope to die. But the problem with “mandatory” is that nobody can say how long it will take to work or, honestly, whether it will work at all. There is “No end in sight for COVID ‘Phase A’ on Australia’s path out of lockdowns,” writes ABC news. The sad truth is that many world leaders didn’t even know they would need a Plan B in the confident early days of fact-checkers. But we are now in a game dominated, not by the original coronavirus and the world of 2019, but by a new situation shaped by the public policy response since then.

Second Order Effect refers to the idea that every action has a consequence, and each consequence has a subsequent consequence. In other words, this means that a single decision can initiate a series of cause-and-effects, something which we might not have knowledge or control of. Therefore, it can be very difficult for us to predict possible implications of the original decision (unless we are somehow blessed with an all-seeing crystal ball).

We now live in the second-order world. “Get Ready for a Spike in Global Unrest,” writes Foreign Policy. What was supposed to be the summer of recovery has become the season of disaster.

To call 2021 the summer of discontent would be a severe understatement. From Cuba to South Africa to Columbia to Haiti, often violent protests are sweeping every corner of the globe as angry citizens are taking to the streets.

Each country has different histories and realities on the ground … butd they all faced a perfect storm of preexisting social, economic and political hardships which fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic only inflamed farther.

Though the problem is worst in the Third World, even European and North American countries face the same dilemma: how to fight this now-endemic disease without running out of economic energy that at some stage will mean stall, crash and burn — unless “mandatory” works before then.

The longer it takes for “mandatory” to work, if ever it does, the more political shibboleths will become unaffordable. At some point, fossil fuel taxes will become insupportable. Further on, perhaps “open borders” must go. Further still, even public-sector unions and academia will feel the pinch. Yet if history is any guide, ideologues will cling to their obsessions even at the cost of survival. “Mandatory” may give a false impression of light at the end of the tunnel when, as Slate writes, that is just a “noble lie.”

When experts or agencies deliver information to the public that they consider possibly or definitively false to further a larger, often well-meaning agenda, they are telling what is called a noble lie. …

Later in 2020, Fauci participated in a second noble lie. In December, he explained in a phone interview with then–New York Times reporter Donald McNeil that he had been moving the target estimate for herd immunity based in part on emerging studies. …

In his own words, he “nudged” his target range for herd immunity to promote vaccine uptake. Even though his comments were made to influence public actions to get more people vaccinated (a noble effort), the central dilemma remains: Do we want public health officials to report facts and uncertainties transparently? Or do we want them to shape information, via nudges, to influence the public to take specific actions? …

The epidemic of “mandatory” suggests that rather than becoming more flexible and adaptive before an endemic disease, the experts are hanging on to the mantle of certitude. Slate sadly concludes: “Noble lies are a trap. We cannot predict the public’s behavior, and loss of trust is devastating. The general population is far too skeptical to blindly follow the advice of experts, and far too intelligent to be easily duped.” True. And that loss of trust is how we arrived at mandatory.

Books: Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies by Nick Bostrom. If machine brains one day come to surpass human brains in general intelligence, then this new superintelligence could become very powerful. As the fate of the gorillas now depends more on us humans than on the gorillas themselves, so the fate of our species then would come to depend on the actions of the machine superintelligence. But we have one advantage: We get to make the first move.

Biden Renews Pandemic Expulsions Order

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

The Biden administration on Monday renewed the public health order known as Title 42, which keeps most illegal aliens from entering the country. Title 42 was billed as a pandemic emergency measure and with positive tests for the coronavirus surging across the country, the administration had no choice but to maintain the restrictions.

That didn’t stop the ACLU from running toward a gasoline dump with a lit match. They filed a lawsuit looking to overturn the policy. The DHS order renewing Title 42 was contained in that court filing, raising the question of what the Biden administration was trying to hide?

In the order to maintain Title 42 pandemic restrictions, DHS noted that Border Patrol facilities on the southwest border are holding migrants at 389 percent of “COVID-19 adjusted capacity.”

“Amid the ongoing migrant surge, both the COVID-19-reduced capacity and higher non-COVID holding capacity limits have been exceeded in CBP facilities,” the order states. “Complete termination of any order under” Title 42 means there would be “severe overcrowding and a high risk of COVID-19 transmission among those held in the facilities and the CBP workforce, ultimately burdening the local healthcare system.”

That “seasonal increase” in illegal alien border crossings—described by the president when he denied that his invitation to come to the United States has resulted in record numbers of illegals trying to enter—is becoming a permanent tsunami.  The Border Patrol will announce on Tuesday that about 210,000 illegals were arrested at the border in July, including a record 19,000 minors.

Associated Press:

Overall, U.S. authorities stopped migrants about 210,000 times at the border in July, up from 188,829 in June and the highest in more than 20 years. But the numbers aren’t directly comparable because many cross repeatedly under a pandemic-related ban that expels people from the country immediately without giving them a chance to seek asylum but carries no legal consequences.

The activity was overwhelmingly concentrated in the Border Patrol’s Del Rio and Rio Grande Valley sectors in south Texas, accounting for more than seven of 10 people who came in families.

In the Rio Grande Valley sector, the “epicenter of the current surge,” agents stopped migrants about 78,000 times in July, Shahoulian said, up from 59,380 in June and 51,149 in May.

“We are deeply disappointed that the Biden administration has abandoned its promise of fair and humane treatment for families seeking safety, leaving us no choice but to resume litigation,” said Neela Chakravartula. Ms. Chakravatula is the attorney heading up the ACLU team trying to open the floodgates at our southern borders.

RelatedBiden Administration Tells Border Agents to Prepare for Massive Wave of Families

Biden has well and truly botched the border surge. He removed almost all Trump-era restrictions — not because they weren’t working but because they were Trump policies. It was silly, stupid, and childish for Biden to end the “remain in Mexico” policy and other border control efforts simply because, well, orange man bad.

Try as he might to hide the extent of the humanitarian crisis building at the border, the fact is the administration can’t release the illegals fast enough to avoid notice. David Shahoulian, assistant secretary for border and immigration policy at the Department of Homeland Security, noted in responding to the ACLU court filing that in just one sector — the Rio Grande Valley — agents stopped illegals about 78,000 times in July, up from 59,380 in June and 51,149 in May.

The has government released more than 50,000 illegals since March without giving them a court date. Illegal children are whisked away from the border and the supervision of the Border Patrol and placed in DHS custody, thus hiding the number of illegal alien children in U.S. custody.

It’s dishonest and, as we’ve seen, dangerous. And with the media as willing accomplices to administration perfidy, it will be some time before we’re made aware of the full extent of the Biden administration’s negligence at the border.

White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Says It’s ‘Time To Impose Vaccine Requirements’

“It’s simple, if you want to work with the federal government, get your workers vaccinated”

BY STEVE WATSON

In a briefing Monday, the Biden Coronavirus Response Coordinator Jeffrey Zients announced that “it’s time to impose some requirements” where COVID vaccines are concerned.

Zients referenced Biden’s comments from last week where the latter talked about giving people cash in exchange for being vaccinated, but added that this doesn’t go far enough.

“Last week the president called on states and local governments to use funding they have received, including from the American Rescue Plan, to give $100 to anyone who gets fully vaccinated,” Zientz said, adding “If financial incentives like these help us get more shots in arms, we should use them.”

“But in addition to incentives, it’s time to impose some requirements based on the realities of different risks unvaccinated individuals pose versus those who have been vaccinated,” Zients proclaimed.

He then went on to confirm that any federal worker or contractor who remains unvaccinated will be forced to wear a mask and get COVID tests twice a week.

“It’s simple, if you want to work with the federal government, get your workers vaccinated,” Zients decreed.

Watch:

As we reported last week, Biden himself indicated that he is seeking confirmation on whether the entire country can be mandated to get the vaccines.

While talking about the likes of Google and Facebook announcing vaccine mandates for their employees, Biden said “I would like to see them continue to move in that direction,” and added that “it’s still a question whether the Federal government can mandate the whole country.”

“I don’t know that yet,” Biden added, indicating it is something he is actively seeking to clarify.

Watch:

When asked for clarification on exactly what COVID rules could be implemented going forward, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Monday that nothing is off the table.

While suggesting that total lockdown will not be brought back, Psaki responded that Biden “has said from the beginning that we are going to be guided by the science, guided by our public health experts, and we’re not going to take options off the table of what they may recommend.”

Again, basically Americans will be ordered to do whatever the “experts” say.

Biden Administration Takes Side of Russia, Syria, Iran, Hezbollah Against Israel

Betraying an ally that has done more than any other to combat terrorism.

Israel has for years been able to bomb targets in Syria virtually at will. These include Iranian bases, where precision-guided weapons are both assembled and made ready for delivery to Hezbollah, and Hezbollah bases which take delivery of these weapons and take them back to Lebanon. In hundreds of missions over Syria, Israeli planes have successfully avoided being hit; and the Syrian and Iranian defenses have proved unequal to the task of intercepting Israeli missiles.

Until now.

The latest report on Russian missile systems being transferred to Syria is here: “Report: Russia helping Syria thwart Israeli attacks,” by Neta Bar and Shahar Klaiman, Israel Hayom, July 25, 2021:

Russia assisted Syria’s aerial defense system in thwarting an Israeli attack near the city of Homs in western Syria, a senior Russian military official said Saturday.

Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit, who heads the Russian military’s Reconciliation Center in Syria, was quoted by Russia’s state-owned TASS news agency as saying Russia’s advanced BUK-M2E missile system intercepted eight missiles fired by Israeli F-16 jets.

Having had free rein in Syrian skies for so long, Israeli pilots now confront a different, much more difficult landscape: a Russian advanced missile system, the BUK-M2E, that has apparently managed, in its first day of use, to intercept eight Israeli missiles fired at targets in Homs.

Experts have questioned the Russian-manufactured system’s ability to intercept advanced guided missiles. In addition, images and video of explosions on the ground in Homs alongside reports in media outlets affiliated with rebels in the area of the destruction of weapons warehouses indicate the airstrikes attributed to Israel hit their targets.

The Russians may have intercepted eight missiles, but it sounds as if other missiles did indeed get through, the evidence being both the videos of explosions on the ground and reports, from the Syrian opposition on the ground, of weapons warehouses having been destroyed.

Nonetheless, it remains to be seen just how effective in the long run that Russian BUK missile system turns out to be against seasoned Israeli pilots and their precision-guided missiles. If their past behavior is any guide, the Israelis are quick learners, able to adjust their own techniques; they may have technology up their sleeve that was not necessary to use before but now will be brought into play. No one ever made money betting against the ability of Israeli pilots, planes, and missiles to rise to any challenge.

A Russian source told the London-based pan-Arab newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat Moscow had already begun to aid the Assad regime in “closing off Syrian airspace to Israeli planes.”

It’s just been announced, in Arab news accounts, that in separate Israeli strikes in western and northern Syria, a top commander in the IRGC and a senior Hezbollah commander have been killed. Were these strikes undertaken in order to take care of some important targets before the Russian missile system was fully operable? Or were the strikes successful despite the deployment of the BUK missile system? Were the Israelis sending a message to Moscow that they would not be deterred but would continue to operate in Syrian skies, even if it resulted in a greater loss of missiles, as long as some got through? These are questions only the Israelis can answer, and they, as is their wont, remain silent – but determined.

The senior Russian official said, “The decision is directly tied to summit talks between [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin and US President [Joe] Biden last month.” The source claimed Washington did not approve of continued Israelis strikes on Syria and that Russia had received authorization from the US administration for the move.

Moscow was cautious in its actions against Israeli aggression against its ally in Syria because Israel has a direct line of communication with Washington and carried out all of its moves in coordination with it. Now that Russia has a direct line of communication with the Americans, we’ve succeeded in confirming Washington does not give its blessing to its attacks,” the Russian source said.

This is an incredible act of betrayal by the Bidenites. Biden conveyed to Putin at their June meeting that his administration did not approve of (“did not give its blessing to attacks”) of Israeli strikes in Syria, and that Russia was free to help the Syrians shoot down Israeli missiles over Syria. What can the Bidenites be thinking? Do they want to make It much harder for Israel to prevent Iranian precision-guided missiles from being delivered through bases in Syria to Hezbollah? Is Washington trying to help Hezbollah, a terror group that has helped bring ruin to Lebanon, and poses a permanent threat to Israel? Perhaps the Bidenites want make things harder for Israel, and easier for Iran, in Syria, as one more way to curry favor with Tehran so as to persuade it to return to the nuclear deal of 2015? Does it not realize what a severe threat Israel already faces with 150,000 rockets (very few of which, however, are precision-guided) in Hezbollah’s armory in Lebanon, and that all Jerusalem is trying to do is to keep the much deadlier precision-guided missiles from becoming part of that armory? In signaling that they have no objection to Russia’s BUK missile system being supplied to Syria, the Bidenites have now taken sides in Syria, against our ally Israel and on the side of our mortal enemies, Iran and the terror group Hezbollah. Supporters of Israel should be raising holy hell.

The source said Russian military experts were already assisting Syrian anti-tank teams in intercepting Israeli missiles in the field through the use of the BUK missile system.

“Already last week the Israelis felt the aerial defense systems that were effectively activated and intercepted all of their missiles,” the source said. According to the source, Moscow had relayed a direct message to Israel on the shift in Russian policy, which would now see it provide Syria with consultants and more innovative weapons.

If this is true – that the newly-transferred Russian missiles “intercepted all of [Israel’s] missiles,” that would be terrible. But it’s clear that Israel did manage to fire missiles that were not intercepted, that in separate attacks killed both an IRGC commander and a top Hezbollah commander. Did those attacks take place in parts of Syria where the BUK missile system had not yet been installed? Or has the IAF already figured out how to have its own missiles evade the Russian ones? At this point we don’t know. Worrisome, however, is Russia’s message to Israel that – with American objections having been withdrawn by Biden – it would provide Syria not only with the BUK missile defense system, but with other “innovative weapons” and the personnel (“consultants”) to properly use them.

The interview with the pan-Arab newspaper followed two statements by the Russian Defense Ministry condemning attacks attributed to Israel in Aleppo and Homs provinces. The ministry had previously refrained from commenting on Israeli strikes in Syria….

The Russians are now condemning Israeli attacks in Syria for the first time – before they had refrained from making any comments – because Biden gave them his placet in June.

According to Syrian reports, a military research facility involved in converting missiles into precision missiles for Hezbollah and pro-Iranian militias in Syria was targeted on Tuesday. Five militia members were killed in the attack. Airstrikes also targeted a military airport in Homs, Thursday. According to some Syrian media outlets, Syrian aerial defense systems succeeded in thwarting the attack….

Whom to believe – the Syrians who claim they thwarted an Israeli attack on a military airport, or those in the Syrian opposition who reported successful attacks by Israel,, not only on that airport, but also on a missile-conversion facility? The Syrian government has a long record of lying; the Syrian opposition, on the other hand, has the engaging habit of telling the truth. We should assume Israel hit both targets, but what we don’t know is if these attacks took place before the Russian missile system was operating in the areas affected, or during, and despite, its operation.

Israel will now have to find solutions to the Russian missile-defense system now being installed in Syria. The Russians feel secure in transferring these systems, now that Biden assured Putin in June that the Americans did not approve of Israeli attacks on targets in Syria, and thus would no longer object to Russia supplying the Syrians with missile-defense weapons that will now make the Jewish state’s task much more difficult. This betrayal of a country that has always been our steadfast ally, and has done more than any other country to combat terrorism, should not be forgotten.

DOJ Sues Texas Over Order Restricting Illegal Migrants’ Transportation

DOJ Sues Texas Over Order Restricting Illegal Migrants’ Transportation

The Biden administration filed a lawsuit against the state of Texas on Friday, asking a federal judge to block Governor Greg Abbott’s order that state troopers pull over drivers transporting migrants who pose a risk of carrying COVID-19 as a way to prevent the spread of the virus.

The Department of Justice claims that Abbott’s executive order GA-37, issued last Wednesday, violates the federal supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution and “causes injury to the US and to individuals whom the US is charged to protect, jeopardizing the health and safety of noncitizens in federal custody, risking the safety of federal law enforcement officers and their families, and exacerbating the spread of [Covid-19] in our communities,” as argued in the lawsuit, which was filed on Friday in the Western District of Texas in El Paso. “In our constitutional system, a State has no right to regulate the federal government’s operations,” the lawsuit states.

Abbott’s order seeks to make it illegal to provide ground transportation to a group of migrants who have been detained by immigration officials for crossing the border illegally or who would have been expelled from the country under current border policy. The directive allows law enforcement to stop any vehicle on reasonable suspicion of doing so. The state troopers would have also been able to either seize the vehicles or escort them to the point of original entry.

The order cites a 900-percent hike in COVID-19 cases in migrant detainees in the Rio Grande Valley and the potential spread of the virus further into the state and the country — a well-substantial concern that was yet again raised by U.S. Border Patrol officials on Sunday.

The order is aimed at non-governmental organizations that often transport migrants from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stations to shelters and other destinations, as well as at Greyhound buses, which are frequently used by migrants to travel after being released from federal custody. Both sometimes operate under contract with, or in connection with, the federal government.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said Thursday the order was “dangerous and unlawful.” In a letter sent to Governor Abbott, Garland warned that if the order is not rescinded immediately, then the United States “intends to pursue all appropriate legal remedies to ensure that Texas does not interfere with the functions of the federal government.”

The White House also pushed back on claims that migrants are spreading COVID-19, arguing that they are provided personal protective equipment the moment they get into custody and required to wear masks at all times, thus (according to the argument) can’t spread the virus even if they are infected. It was also indicated that people apprehended after crossing into the United States are tested if they show “signs of illness in CBP custody.”

In response, Abbott pointed out  that Biden was allowing “migrants from over 150 countries, many of whom are testing positive for COVID-19” into Texas, and charged that the federal government is being irresponsible with COVID testing and containment measures. “The Biden administration is jeopardizing the health and safety of Texans on a daily basis,” Abbott said. “And it’s not just Texans; these irresponsible policies and actions by the Biden administration are endangering the lives of many Americans as well as the unlawful immigrants themselves.”

In a letter to Garland, Abbott stressed, “The authority that you assert to protect noncitizens directly conflicts with my authority, and duty, to protect citizens of Texas and the United States.”

Responding to the lawsuit, Abbott accused the Biden administration of creating “a constitutional crisis between the federal government and the State of Texas” by its “refusal to enforce immigration laws [thereby allowing] illegal immigrants with [Covid]-19 to enter our country.” Abbott says that President Joe Biden has long since abdicated his authority and responsibility to protect and uphold our nation’s sovereignty, and, instead, “knowingly imports COVID-19 into Texas from across the border — willfully exposing Texans and Americans alike.” The statement  concluded: “Until President Biden and his Administration do their jobs to enforce the laws of our nation and protect Americans, the State of Texas will continue to step up to protect our communities and uphold the rule of law.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton also responded to the lawsuit in a statement saying Abbott’s order was “much-needed” and is “perfectly legal.”

The Biden administration claims the immigration crisis is rooted in climate change and poor governing in the Northern triangle countries that only “coincided” with Joe Biden taking office. Biden has shredded his predecessor’s strict immigration policies, resulting in a record influx of migrants, many of whom have tested positive for COVID-19.

Governor Abbott, along with Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and many Republican lawmakers, has contended that the public-health struggles with COVID-19 have been exacerbated by the Biden administration’s failure to enforce Title 42, the Trump-era “turn back” policy that deported migrants who could be infectious with the disease, as well as by the administration’s failure to secure the border generally.

Multiple news outlets have reported busloads of migrants being dropped off at locations across Texas, as the top federal and local authorities across the nation warn of the new wave of COVID-19 caused by the “highly transmissible” Delta variant spreading across the country.

The vitriol that school officials unleash against parents who hold traditional values is truly chilling. But it is extremely common, though rarely displayed in public.

At the May 25, 2021 Ludlow, Mass. School Board meeting, Superintendent Todd Gazda announced his resignation. This followed more than a year of pressure and outrage from parents and members of the local community over a toxic agenda in the middle school. The resignation came less than a week after the Superintendent and Principal fired Bonnie, an outspoken teacher who supported the parents.

At both that School Board meeting and the following meeting two weeks later, Gazda and Board members publicly attacked, demeaned, and demonized the parents, community members, and even a student who had spoken out. Normal meeting procedures were blatantly set aside, allowing for these shocking attacks.

Background: Pushing a toxic agenda on middle school children

The outrages started in late 2019 when lurid pornographic books for teenagers appeared in the school library and classrooms of Baird Middle School in Ludlow, Mass. The books had been brought in by the school librarian, a strange cross-dressing woman.

In late 2020, the situation got much worse. Teachers and guidance counselors at Baird took advantage of the COVID disruption to introduce radical “transgender” ideas to children. They persuaded children as young as 11 that they were “transgender” – and the school staff purposely kept this from the children’s parents.

Bonnie, a Social Studies teacher, was upset at what she saw and raised the alarm in February 2021. Parents and even some teachers were shocked and demanded the books be removed. But the school officials refused to take any action. Then, as the word got out in the community, the pressure led to the librarian’s resignation in early 2021.

MassResistance helped parents inform the larger community through a flyer, and people in Ludlow were livid at the school officials. In May, the Superintendent and Principal retaliated against Bonnie by firing her. They had to concoct phony charges, since she had a spotless 20-year record as a teacher.

During the COVID shutdowns, most School Boards and other government bodies around the world held their meetings online via Zoom. Members of the public would still be able to speak directly to the school officials during the public comments part of online meetings.

But the Ludlow School Board did not want to hear from angry parents. So instead of using Zoom, they held their Board meetings in their regular meeting room (wearing their masks). But they did not allow the public into the meetings; the Board met before an empty room! As before, the meetings were broadcast on cable-TV and the videos were posted later.

If Ludlow citizens wanted to register comments, they had to email them beforehand. The Superintendent would decide which emails would be read aloud during the meeting. This outrageous restriction – not being able to address their officials in person – only added to the anger of the parents.

Changing meeting procedures to lash out at parents

With the news that the librarian had quit and the Superintendent was about to announce his resignation, the School Board was extremely angry at the parents and wanted to lash back publicly.

So, for their May 25 and June 8 meetings, the School Board decided to deviate even further from normal meeting procedures. Usually, School Boards just listen to the public comments without replying. But now, if there were emailed comments from critics of the middle school situation, the Superintendent and/or Board members would prepare a “rebuttal” beforehand (attacking that person’s remarks) and read it out loud. We have never seen that done before anywhere. It was shameful, childish, and simply vindictive.

At the May 25, 2021 School Board meeting: Superintendent’s resignation and angry attack

VIDEO: Clip from 5/25/21 Ludlow School Board meeting (6 min 12 sec)

Superintendent Todd Gazda started off by formally announcing his resignation, adding that he had accepted a job with a local non-profit organization. (Usually, Superintendents leave to take a job with a bigger school system – and a higher salary. We’ve never seen one leave to work for a non-profit.) With accumulated vacation, his last day would be June 17, he said.

Then, during “citizen participation,” the Board read aloud one email. It was from Alex, a 10th-grade student at Ludlow High School, who (like many parents) was outraged at the abuses of children at the middle school and particularly Bonnie’s firing for exposing it. He pointed out that parental rights were being disregarded.

Alex said that staff members were pushing extreme ideas to children 11-14 years old. “This agenda has been trying to convince them to change who they are, change their sexuality and gender at an age that many kids don’t fully understand either,” he wrote. “The school committee ignores the concerns of the parents. You ignore us. You won’t talk to us.”

He ended: “So I ask, who will finally listen to the parents of this district? When will this be fixed? When can we have a discussion about this? Or will you just continue to ignore the people in this town who should matter the most to this committee?”

Right after Alex’s email was read, the School Board Chairman, Michael Kelleher, blurted out, “Most of that’s just baloney.”

Then Superintendent Gazda read aloud his prepared “rebuttal” to Alex’s letter. It was a shrill, angry rant that largely repeated the LGBT movement’s talking points.

Gazda stated that the issues Alex was complaining about – sexual books, pushing transgenderism on children without telling parents, etc. – are really about “inclusion” and “making schools safe.” These help children to “be free to be themselves.” Rather than stop these programs, he said, “we do not do enough … and we need to do more.”

He made the disingenuous claim that this is “in compliance with the laws and regulations of our state and the guidance of the Department of Education (DOE).” (MassResistance is not aware of any Mass. state law or regulation that requires this, and he grossly misrepresented the DOE “guidance.”)

He stated that such complaints amounted to “intolerance of LGBTQ individuals” and were in fact “thinly veiled behind a camouflage of parental rights” and half-truths, misrepresentations, and false accusations. (In other words, the parents were lying.)

He claimed that the schools are the true “safe place” for students – not their homes with their parents. He said this controversy is about supporting children’s true “identity” (i.e., homosexual or transgender) and that the school supplies “caring adults” where students can discuss “problems they might have.” He said, “For many students school is their only safe place, and that safety evaporates when they leave the confines of our buildings.”

Gazda said that the middle school will absolutely continue to help the children “express who they are” despite parents’ wishes to the contrary.

With that, the Chairman adjourned the meeting. But there was much more to come at the next meeting.

The June 8 School Board meeting: more vile attacks on parents

VIDEO: Clip from 6/8/21 Ludlow School Board meeting (10 min 13 sec)

On June 8, 2021, the Superintendent attended his last School Board meeting.

In the “public comments” section, the Board again read aloud just one email. It was sent by a Ludlow father and mother of middle school children, and was signed by several other Ludlow parents.

The letter stated seven demands that the parents have regarding the middle school:

  1. Stop promotion of transgender and homosexual ideas to middle school children.
  2. Remove all destructive transgender and homosexual materials from the middle school library and classrooms.
  3. Establish a book review committee with parents, which would include library books, school websites. and textbooks.
  4. Stop retribution against teachers who expose these abuses to parents.
  5. Stop the hostility, intimidation, and harassment of parents who complain about these abuses.
  6. Instruct the Superintendent and school staff not to attack, shame, or demean parents and residents in the community because they criticize decisions by the School Board or school staff.
  7. Establish a policy that requires use of students’ given names and actual pronouns. We want all students treated with proper respect and dignity, with no attempt at coercion or manipulation.

These “demands” express normal and obvious sentiments parents hold for their middle school children. But they prompted a nearly hysterical reaction against these parents from the Superintendent and Board members.

School Board Chairman Michael Kelliher started by reading aloud his prepared reply - a nasty hate-filled rant, using numerous time-worn LGBT talking points. First, he repeated the claim that what the school did is supported by “state and federal law,” but he didn’t identify which laws.

He then said that it was just a “small group of vocal parents” who were attacking books in the library and were now opposing “the inclusive policies of the Ludlow Public Schools.”  He said that “the staff are simply doing their jobs” being “welcoming and supporting” to the children.

Kelliher said the Ludlow parents are actually under the spell of “outside groups” including MassResistance and which are “recruiting members” in Ludlow. (Of course, he ignores the fact that the entire LGBT agenda in Ludlow is fueled by outside groups, and earlier this year the American Library Association became very active pushing the sexual agenda in the town’s schools.)

Whenever liberals have no substantive argument, they call the other side “bigots” or “haters.” So it was no surprise that Kelliher called MassResistance a “hate group,” mentioning our opposition to the LGBT agenda and what he called “marriage equality.” His name-calling only reveals his own childish anger.

Kelliher ended by making the ridiculous charge that it is “MassResistance [that] is trying to change people’s identities, not the school staff.” He said that our efforts to protect children constitute “hateful rhetoric” and that we are creating “divisive battles” in Ludlow.

Then the Superintendent read his prepared rebuttal to the parents’ letter. It was mostly a repeat of the absurd points he’d made at the previous meeting. But he added:

Myself [sic] and other members of our Ludlow staff have been called evil, sick, twisted, and deviant. We have been accused of grooming students, implying we are pedophiles – for supporting an inclusive environment in our schools where all students can feel safe and supported.

Harassing phone calls have been made to our personal home phones and cell phones all in a pathetic attempt to intimidate and harass.

Actually, the phone calls were attempts by parents to set up meetings. The school officials had ignored the emails and calls to their offices. However, the terms “evil, sick, twisted, and deviant” seem appropriate in this perverse situation.

Gazda ended by characterizing the parents’ complaints as “prejudice and bigotry.”

Then Board Member James “Chip” Harrington spoke up. While the previous officials made remarks that were hateful and offensive, Harrington’s were just plain stupid:

I am all in favor of giving parents the right to decide how they’re going to raise their children. But if they’re going to reach in and tell other parents how to raise their children because it’s not in line with how they feel, then shame on them. You raise your kid how you want. But don’t start dictating to other parents how they should raise their kids.

This is exactly the opposite of what’s really going on. The parents have no interest in how others raise their kids. They simply want their own children left alone by school personnel. It’s a little frightening that Ludlow trusts someone as dense as Harrington to decide on school policies.

And he didn’t stop there. Harrington ended by saying that the parents’ letter is “inaccurate” because “there already is a process in place” to decide these issues. Yes, that’s technically true. But it’s a phony process where a bogus “committee” of left-wing faculty members is created to make a decision, and it always rules against the parents.

This is what the parents are up against!

Final reflection

You need to watch the two videos above (especially the second one) to appreciate how unbelievably offensive and repulsive these officials are. The three who did not comment were silent because they had nothing to add – not because they disagreed in any way.

Regular people – especially conservatives – make the same mistake across the country. They assume that these kinds of school officials and School Board members are basically like the rest of us, but simply “misguided” and can be reasoned with. Without exception, our experience has been the opposite.

These people are not normal. Normal people do not do repugnant and immoral things that can cause immeasurable emotional and psychological harm to other people’s children. Normal people do not lash out with this kind of unhinged hostility, hate, lies, and anger when challenged on it by constituents. The education system attracts some very, very bad people. We need to understand that and act accordingly.

More to come!

The Social Media Giants Find A Violent Extremist: Me~So since I watch terrorists, I’ve been watching myself.

BY ROBERT SPENCER

As the director of Jihad Watch, I have an ongoing interest in the activities of violent extremists, and have been tracking those activities daily for eighteen years now. But now, in their benevolence, Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube have made it easier than ever with their Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT): all I have to do is look in the mirror.

The GIFCT means to wipe out the groups it targets. Tyler O’Neil explains at PJ Media that GIFCT “shares terrorism data among Big Tech companies, enabling them to flag and remove terrorist content,” and is stepping up these operations: “On Monday, GIFCT announced that it significantly expanded the types of extremist content in its database, aiming to crack down on material from white supremacists and far-right militias.”

It’s about time, right? Those white supremacists and far-right militias have been rioting with impunity in Portland, and Seattle, and – oh, wait, that was the noble ideological heirs of the heroes of World War II. But we don’t have to guess who they have in mind: the GIFCT offers a helpful list of the dangerous groups from which it is going to save us.

At the highest level, Level 3, are the groups GIFCT classifies as actual bloodthirsty, grade-A certified dangerous terrorists: Boogaloo Boys, Ku Klux Klan, the National Socialist Network, Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State, even the Irish Republican Army. But that’s not all that the intrepid warriors of the GIFCT are going after. Once you’ve reached Level 3, the problem has advanced way too far, anyway. The GIFCT aims to nip terrorism in the bud by also targeting Level 2, “Violent Extremism,” which includes groups that are just below terrorist group status, but moving up the charts with a bullet: Blood & Honour, Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, and…Jihad Watch.

Perhaps even more surprising than the inclusion of Jihad Watch on this list is the fact that Antifa is also listed at Level 2. The likelihood of the social media giants moving in on Antifa is about as likely as Nancy Pelosi being Trump’s running mate in 2024, but it does help put things in perspective. Antifa has been openly calling for and applauding violence in cities all over the country, and as far as the counter-terror “experts” at the GIFCT are concerned, they’re on par with an organization that is dedicated to tracking jihad terror activity and elucidating its motivating ideology. Unlike Antifa, neither I nor Jihad Watch has ever called for or approved of any violence or illegal activity of any kind. But another way we differ from Antifa is that establishment media stooges aren’t falling all over themselves likening us to the men (you may remember what those were) who stormed the Normandy beaches on June 6, 1944. The likelihood that Jihad Watch will be targeted for being on the GIFCT’s list, and Antifa given another pass, is about 100%.

On the morning I found out that I was a violent extremist, I discovered that violent extremists sometimes enjoy a bit of yogurt for breakfast, try to fit in a good long walk, and spend a lot of the day typing. It was a bit more sedentary, and definitely filled with less death-defying adventure, than I expected for an official “violent extremist.” With all the time I sit here facing this infernal machine, the GIFCT may think I’m at work on my “manifesto,” for they say they’re going to make sure that “Manifestos from terrorist and violent extremist attackers” are removed from the Internet, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t be intensely scrutinized, for “a wide range of experts on expanding the reach and impact of our hash-sharing database’s taxonomy in order to respond to terrorist content online across the ideological spectrum.”

Hey, great. Let me start you folks off on the right foot. Here’s my Manifesto, GIFCT, straight from one of your designated “violent extremists.” Get your experts on this, and make sure they study it carefully. Ready? Here it is:

You. People. Are. Nuts.

That’s it. You like it? It took me months to get the precise formulation of my “violent extremist” ideas. And just because I have so much respect for your violent extremist-hunting prowess, GIFCT wonks, here’s a bonus. Here’s what I want for America and the world: the freedom of speech. The freedom of conscience. The equality of rights of all people before the law.

Yeah, I know that messes with you Communists’ sugar-plum visions of racial strife, civil war, and the dissolution of America as a unitary nation-state. And that may be the clue to all of this madness. Violent extremists and their enablers want to make sure they have a free hand, and one strategy to get it was delineated in the Marxists’ tested-and-true playbook: accuse your enemy of that which you’re guilty of doing. Could it be that my organization been designated a violent extremist group because some people have a bit of violent extremism planned and want to make sure that anyone who might speak out against them is silenced and cleared away?

Stranger things have happened. Meanwhile, if I disappear from the net, and from the streets, someday soon, you’ll know that the good folks at the GIFCT have done their job. One less violent extremist will be menacing the rest of us. And we will all be able to breathe a sigh of relief over that. Won’t we?

Georgetown university’s Bridge Initiative: Manufactured ‘Islamophobia’

Jordan Denari Duffner on "Islamophobia"

Jordan Denari Duffner: How loving Islam Makes Her a Better Catholic

Finding Jesus among Muslims: New book by Jordan Denari Duffner

BY ANDREW HARROD

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2021/08/georgetowns-bridge-initiative-manufactured-islamophobia;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Bridge senior research fellow Mobashra Tazamal interviewed Denari Duffner about her recently published book, Islamophobia: What Christians Should Know (and Do) about Anti-Muslim Discrimination. Currently a Georgetown doctoral student in theological and religious studies, she has a long history of erroneous statements concerning Islamic doctrine. Now she worries that Christians “only see kind of negative manifestations of Islam in the media” and “are not aware of all the ways that Muslims are doing good for them” — virtues she never elucidated.

Denari Duffner condemned past New York City police surveillance of Muslim neighborhoods and individuals, including Asad Dandia, who led a “Muslim charity group.” Yet American police have used similar techniques in ethnoreligious communities to find criminal elements, such as the Italian mafia. Foreign police forces also regularly surveil radical mosques.

The New York City program “was basically created with the premise that Muslims are inherently suspect; that Muslims are prone to violence, are seditious,” Denari Duffner said, as if Muslim communities could not be legitimate targets of policy scrutiny. “Some of these programs around the country actually are looking to stir up trouble” with “entrapment, luring Muslims into committing crimes that can then be charged for terrorism,” she claimed. Yet such “sting” operations are again a normal law enforcement tool, no less necessary for catching criminally minded individuals when dealing with jihad terrorism than any other crime.

”‘Islamophobia’ brings the Right and the Left together,” Denari Duffner lamented. Progressives “have made some of the most anti-Muslim comments that I have ever heard,” she elaborated, while failing to acknowledge that Islam sparks controversies apparent to people from diverse backgrounds. “So much of our self-definition as Western people is contingent on having this view of Muslims as the opposite of whatever we see ourselves to be,” she stated, “as progressive and supportive of women’s rights, and democratic and peaceful.”

To exemplify this “Islamophobia” across the political spectrum, Denari Duffner highlighted the collaboration between Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Robert Spencer. Ali, a “former Muslim who gained a huge following in a lot of liberal circles,” is often “talking about the ills of Islam to your NPR audience,” Denari Duffner said.

Denari Duffner further displayed her superficiality when discussing Spencer, an authority on Islam and bestselling author. Using sweeping comments she condemns in others, she claimed Spencer operates “in these neocon circles,” a common euphemism for Jewish intellectuals. Moreover, Spencer has consistently criticized neoconservative democratic regime change strategies in Muslim-majority countries like Iraq.

Spencer was again mentioned in the discussion over what Tazamal called the “Catholic wing of the ‘Islamophobia’ industry,” as the Catholic Denari Duffner had analyzed. Before leaving the Catholic Church, Spencer “for many years was writing specifically for Catholics,” Denari Duffner stated. She also criticized the Turning Point Project of the Catholic William Kilpatrick, an insightful former Boston College professor, which works “to basically freak Catholics out about Islam,” she said.

Denari Duffner tried to downplay centuries of jihadist assaults upon Christian communities that eradicated Christianity from its historic homeland in the Middle East. “We often see ourselves with these rose-colored glasses,” she said, acknowledging that “both sides have harmed one another but have also done tremendous good for the other.”

This pollyannaish view of Islam undergirds Denari Duffner’s broader claim to “actively debunk stereotypical or untrue claims made about Islam.” She asserted that “Muslims are just as indigenous to India as Hindus,” a blatantly ahistorical claim given that Muslim conquerors subjugated India after many centuries of Hindu preeminence. Breezily overlooking troublesome Islamic doctrines like wife-beating, she dismissed that some “Muslim men have a penchant for being oppressive to women” as a view that reduces “Muslims to dehumanized, threatening people.”

Supposedly behind all this “Islamophobia,” as Tazamal quoted ominously from Denari Duffner’s book, are “nefarious forces” that are “propped up by industry and imperialism.” People “warp these terms” like “sharia” or “jihad,” Tazamal asserted without evidence, “to justify violence or discriminatory policies against Muslim communities.” Denari Duffner concurred about an “intentional marginalization of a community so that another community can benefit.”

“Anti-Muslim tropes are tools that governments can use,” Denari Duffner stated, as if jihadist threats are figments of imagination. For Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, “whenever he wanted to try to delegitimize the opposition, they were cast as terrorists,” she stated. But studies have documented the presence of jihadists among Assad’s opposition.

Likewise, “Israel is able to justify its policy of dominance of the Palestinians,” Denari Duffner said, as “Palestinians are the quintessential terrorist Muslims” for Israelis and others. Such sympathy for the Palestinians whitewashes the jihad they and other Muslims have waged against Zionism and Israel. Yet she asserted that Israel gets a “blank check to do whatever they want.”

An uncritical approach to Islam undercuts Denari Duffner’s belief that interactions with Muslims will end “Islamophobia.” “I have had such positive experiences getting to know Muslims as classmates in college, and if everyone could have this experience, then this problem of ‘Islamophobia’ would go away,” she once assumed. Unlike her, however, many others base their worldviews on empirical facts rather than fantasy. Thus, she has come to realize that “‘Islamophobia’ isn’t going to go away if people simply get to know Muslims.”

Denari Duffner combines a willful blindness toward all things Islamic with an ahistorical, highly critical approach to the West in general and Christianity in particular. It is a virtue to see the humanity of others, but it is the job of the scholar to tell the truth regardless of the cost. In finding fault primarily with her own kind while denying inconvenient facts about the “Other,” Denari-Duffner rejects this key academic obligation. Legislators, policymakers, theologians, and others should reject Georgetown’s peddlers of “Islamophobia” for what they are: charlatans undermining the West’s ability to define and defend itself.
