100 Woke CEOs Gather to Oppose Election Integrity Laws

Woke Capitalism Revs Into High Gear: 90 CEOs Gather to Fight 'Undemocratic' Voter Integrity Laws

Nearly 100 of America’s top corporate leaders and CEOs gathered both in-person and virtually on Saturday to strategize ways to combat new election integrity laws like Georgia’s H.B. 531. Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, a Yale University management professor who helped organize the meeting, framed it as a response to threats of reprisals after Georgia-based companies like Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola, and Aflac Insurance condemned the Georgia bill. He called election integrity measures “anti-undemocratic.”

“The gathering was an enthusiastic voluntary statement of defiance against threats of reprisals for exercising their patriotic voices,” Sonnenfeld told CBS News. The corporate leaders “recognize that they need to step up to the plate and are not fearful of these reprisals. They’re showing a disdain for these political attacks. Not only are they fortifying each other, but they see that this spreading disease of voter restrictions from Georgia to up to possibly 46 other states is based on a false premise and its’ anti-democratic.”

Former President Donald Trump called for a boycott of Delta, Coca-Cola, and Major League Baseball (MLB) and other companies after they condemned the Georgia law, repeating Democratic talking points that smeared the legislation. “Boycott all of the woke companies that don’t want Voter I.D. and Free and Fair Elections,” Trump said in a statement last week.

Georgia House Sends Woke Capital a Wake-up Call After False Attacks on Election Integrity Law

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also condemned the companies for spreading misinformation about the bill. He briefly suggested reprisals for companies that smeared the legislation, and then withdrew his threat.

Contrary to Sonnenfeld’s claim, election integrity laws are not “based on a false premise” and they are not “un-democratic.” While some have claimed that Joe Biden won the presidential election due to fraud, the reality is far more complicated. Biden most likely won with the most legal votes, but last-minute election changes and cash infusions from the Center for Tech and Civic Life tilted the playing field in his favor. Voters are rightly concerned about election integrity and the new laws represent a response to these abuses — not an attack on legal voting.

CTCL sent funds to election offices in blue areas, ramping up turnout that benefitted Joe Biden. Georgia’s new law rightly makes this practice illegal. The law also requires voters to present a valid photo ID to register for an absentee ballot. The Washington Post gave President Joe Biden four Pinocchios for repeatedly claiming that the Georgia law “ends voting hours early.” In fact, the bill extended voting hours.

According to a recent poll from the Honest Elections Project, 77 percent of Americans support requiring an ID to vote. This includes majorities of self-identified Biden voters (62 percent to 24 percent opposed), black voters (64 percent to 22 percent opposed), and Latino voters (78 percent to 16 percent opposed). Most voters (64 percent) said they want to strengthen voting safeguards to prevent fraud, rather than eliminate them to make voting “easier.” Even majorities of black voters (51 percent), Hispanic voters (66 percent), urban voters (59 percent), and Independent voters (61 percent) agreed.

Yet the Democratic-legacy media echo chamber has been blasting the false narrative that Georgia’s new law is a racist attempt to prevent black voters from going to the polls. Biden has condemned the law as “Jim Crow on steroids,” even though Georgia’s election laws are far less stringent than those of Biden’s home state of Delaware or MLB’s home state of New York.

The CBS News report on the CEO gathering illustrates this leftist bias. CBS News cited the Brennan Center for Justice, an organization dedicated to the values of left-leaning Supreme Court Justice William Brennan, the “father of modern judicial activism.” While the group purports to be “nonpartisan,” it has received substantial funding from organizations associated with George Soros and other leftist groups.

The Brennan Center frames the 361 bills to further election integrity, proposed in 47 states, as measures “that would restrict voting access.” At least 55 of the bills are moving through legislatures in 24 states. Twenty-nine have passed one chamber, and five bills have been signed into law. Sonnenfeld’s number of states considering these bills — 47 — seems to trace back to the Brennan Center.

To launch the CEO meeting, Sonnenfeld teamed up with Lynn Forester de Rothschild, the founding partner of Inclusive Capital Partners — a left-leaning investment manager — and Leadership Now, a group of Harvard University alumni and corporate leaders that claims to focus on sustaining democracy.

“We invited 120 CEO’s with about 50 hours notice. We were praying for 25 and we got 90 CEO’s and another 30 invited guests including legal experts, technology experts and historians,” Sonnenfeld told CBS News. He said the CEOs united to combat the backlash that Delta and Coca-Cola faced.

“These CEOs said, ‘Enough of that, we’re going to come together and reinforce our fellow CEOs.’ It was a statement of affirmation that the voice of business in the political world is worthwhile,” he said.

Some CEOs joined the Zoom conference from Augusta National Golf Course, the site of the Masters PGA golf tournament, while others joined remotely. Attendees included NFL Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank; James Murdoch, the son of Rupert Murdoch; AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron; law firm chairman Brad Karp; Ariel Investments co-CEO Mellody Hobson; Walmart CEO Doug McMillon; United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby; American Airlines CEO Doug Parker; Levi Strauss Company Chairman Chip Bergh; LinkedIN CEO Reid Hoffman; and others.

Former American Express CEO Kenneth Chenault and Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier spoke on the call, among others. Frazier helped organize the 72 current and former black CEOs who blasted the Georgia bill in a joint statement.

“Obviously there’s been a big wake up call over the last few weeks. The business community doesn’t want to be caught on their heels about this. So it’s about protecting leadership and not missing out on an opportunity to do so,” an anonymous source told CBS News.

The meeting reportedly ended without any concrete game plan or timetable but with a general plan to draft responses to election integrity laws on a firm-by-firm basis.

Sources from the meeting told CBS News that the CEOs discussed McConnell’s comments but they generally mocked the senator’s stance.

“There was humor and mockery about that,” one participant told CBS News. This source add that another person on the call “made a reference to ‘just give us your money and stay quiet.’ Another said, ‘isn’t it ironic who’s talking about cancel culture?'”

“It wasn’t a primary area of discussion,” another participant said of McConnell’s comments, “but certainly everyone is cognizant of it and aware of it. In no way was he an impetus for this – talk of doing this meeting started before he spoke out.”

While it has been harrowing to see MLB pull out of Georgia and so many CEOs condemn a state based on utter lies about election integrity laws, it seems the forces of woke capitalism are gathering to launch an all-out assault on measures like voter ID and attempts to address the irregularities in the 2020 election. Conservatives cannot back down. We need to explain why the Left’s narrative about these laws is dead wrong and we need to put pressure on CEOs who mobilize against election integrity.

INTERVIEW: Voddie Baucham Explains ‘Looming Catastrophe’ of Critical Race Theory in the Church

The star of Christian pastor and apologist Voddie Baucham has risen substantially over the last year, an elevation tied directly to a cultural fascination with critical race theory and some Christians' affinity for the politicized social justice movement. He joins CBN's Faithwire team (Dan Andros, Tré Goins-Phillips) for a lengthy discussion about his new book, which dissects problems with CRT in detail. In Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe," Baucham focuses on defining the terms so many are wont to throw around these days, in both pessimistic and praiseworthy ways. As the number of voices facing big-tech censorship continues to grow, Baucham, a Los Angeles native who serves as the dean of theology at African Christian University in Zambia, relies on the writings of CRT co-creator Richard Delgado, who argues racism "is ordinary, normal, and embedded in society" and that it "advances the interests of both white elites (materially) and working-class people (psychically), [therefore] large segments of society have little incentive to eradicate it."

Woke Kindergarten-Brainwashing Very Young Children

Anti-American brainwashing starts early.

The Left’s unceasing efforts to turn the young against America will be supercharged with your tax dollars if a radical new plan devoting $6 billion to leftist educational indoctrination becomes law.

The proposed “Civics Secures Democracy Act,” introduced in Congress last month would authorize $1 billion per year in federal grants over six years for K–12 curriculum development, teacher training, and research on the teaching of history and civics.

It would also subsidize left-wing political agitation for course credit.

“These Alinskyite proposals seek to normalize in children radical leftist political activism disguised as public service,” said Pete Hutchison, president of Landmark Legal Foundation.

“Patterned after the environmental movement’s co-opting of children in the 1970s, we face both the bogus critical race theory and phony civic action programs that are fundamental challenges to our very way of life.”

U.S. taxpayers have indeed been funding subversive left-wing groups like the now-defunct Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and Saul Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation since at least the Johnson administration. Radicals advance their objectives, erode civil society, and send you the bill.

The Biden administration is fully behind this push to further entrench an ahistorical, politically slanted interpretation of American history and civics into the nation’s classrooms, where, in many cases, the writings of dead communist scholar Howard Zinn, along with nonsensical pabulum from the 1619 Project and the Southern Poverty Law Center, are already taught as objective truth.

Remember that in Executive Order 13985, the first executive order of POTUS 46*, the newly installed placeholder president rescinded President Donald Trump’s Executive Order 13950, which wisely banned the Marxist-invented Critical Race Theory in federal training, and Trump’s Executive Order 13958, which created the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission that urged U.S. education be moved away from a radical curriculum that hyped race-related injustices of the past.

The 1776 Commission’s final report described Critical Race Theory as “a variation of critical theory applied to the American context that stresses racial divisions and sees society in terms of minority racial groups oppressed by the white majority.”

“Equally significant to its intellectual content is the role Critical Race Theory plays in promoting fundamental social transformation,” it stated, “to impart an oppressor-victim narrative upon generations of Americans. This work of cultural revolution has been going on for decades, and its first political reverberations can be seen in 1960s America.”

Astonishingly, at least two Republicans in Congress who ought to know better are onboard.

The legislation, known in a previous iteration as the proposed “Educating for Democracy Act,” was introduced in the House as HR 1814 by Reps. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.), and Tom Cole (R-Okla.). The Senate version of the bill was introduced by Sens. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas).

“The events of recent weeks have illustrated how fragile the democratic process is. We need to help train young people to appreciate how our democracy works,” said Blumenauer, referring to the endlessly overhyped security breach during the congressional certification of the presidential election at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 and its aftermath.

“This effort has never been more important, and our legislation is an opportunity for the federal government to place money behind efforts to supercharge civics education,” he said.

Left-wingers, by the way, rarely fail to refer to the events of that day incorrectly as an “insurrection,” which, if it is an accurate description, would make it one of the few rebellions in modern history in which the participants never got around to arming themselves.

It is unclear how Blumenauer resisted the urge here to sensationalize January 6 by using the I-word.

Much of the money in the proposal will go toward encouraging and supporting student political activism.

This is called “Action Civics” in the parlance of today’s media-savvy radicals and it means students will receive course credit for protesting and lobbying for political causes. The education bureaucrats holding the purse strings will overwhelmingly be left-wingers and so will almost all the recipients.

Conservative organizations that make the mistake of supporting the proposed “Civics Secures Democracy Act” because they think they might actually receive federal money will be “terribly disappointed,” said David Randall, director of research for the National Association of Scholars (NAS).

NAS has launched a new project called The Civics Alliance that aims to unite Americans to promote authentic civics education that teaches the nation’s founding principles and documents, key events of American history, the structure of our self-governing federal republic, and the spirit of liberty and tolerance.

In the legislation, the way the “bureaucratic hoops are being set up” means conservative and even moderate groups will likely be shut out of the grants process, he said. “It’s not until you look in the footnotes that you see it includes Action Civics.”

“A bill putatively open to progressive and conservative civics, will, because they have Action Civics as one of the bureaucratic prerequisites to apply for a grant, be overwhelmingly steered to radical civics organizations.”

Underwritten by federal grants, the left-wing activists want to promote activities outside the classroom, usually in connection with a nonprofit organization, and “what this does is it gets rids of actual education in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights,” Randall told this writer in a recent interview.

They want to substitute “collective action overwhelmingly for radical progressive causes … habituating students to being organized and learning how to organize.” It’s “vocational training for left-wing activism.”

“Action Civics really has to be removed from the curriculum. It shouldn’t even be an option,” he said.

“It’s a peculiarly effective pedagogy,” Randall admitted.

“This is actually really good psychology, when you get people to become active in something, that makes them loyal to it. … You’re supposed to be having a disengaged education so that you can make mature decisions. This is short-circuiting that process to get minors committed to political activism early on.”

Stanley Kurtz, a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, was the first to raise the alarm about the pending legislation.

The money disbursed under the legislation will benefit so-called woke education, including Critical Race Theory and Action Civics, in the nation’s classrooms, merging “the culture war [and] … K–12 education-policy disputes to a degree never before seen.”

The new legislation “is a backdoor effort to impose a de facto national curriculum in the politically charged subject areas of history and civics,” Kurtz wrote at National Review.

“All around us, the culture war has broken the bounds of the university and spilled into our day-to-day lives. Conservatives and traditional liberals are rightly up in arms about the woke assault on our most fundamental freedoms, extending to inculcating guilt and shame in elementary-school students for the color of their skin. The Democrats in Congress, in league with the Biden administration and the leftist Action Civics movement, are about to supercharge this culture war by injecting it into the heart of federal education policy. Whether sooner or later, this is destined to become the greatest education battle of our lifetimes.”

Randall agrees.

“This civics education is part of a broader ideological assault on the American republic,” he said.

“The basic point is you are supposed to be learning affection for the republic you’re a part of,” Randall said.

“A republic cannot continue if nobody loves it.”

States Lining Up Against “Vaccine Immunity Passports”

The question of vaccine passports is a conversation that has been going on around the world, Canada too, but it’s become politically divisive in the United States. Why is that? Well, it hits that intersection of privacy, freedom and the role of government in Americans’ day-to-day life—something that many Americans feel very strongly about. In fact, two of the country’s largest states—Florida and Texas—have said that they will ban any kind of government-mandated vaccine passport.

Governors of several states in the U.S. have issued executive orders banning state agencies and corporations doing business in the state from requiring residents to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination via a vaccine immunity passport in order to obtain public services or enter public venues.

Florida and Texas Governors Sign Executive Orders Banning Vaccine Passports

On Apr. 2, 2021, Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis signed an executive order “prohibiting the use of so-called COVID-19 vaccine passports.” Gov. DeSantis said that Florida legislature is “working on making permanent these protections for Floridians” and that he looks forward to “signing them into law soon.”1 2 3

The DeSantis order also bars a state government agency from issuing vaccine passports to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.1 2 3 The Executive Order states, “Individual COVID-19 vaccination records are private health information and should not be shared by a mandate.” Gov. DeSantis said, “It’s completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you the requirement that you show proof of vaccine to just simply be able to participate in normal society.”2

Governor Greg Abbott of Texas followed suit on Apr. 6 signing an executive order prohibiting state agencies and businesses from issuing or requiring vaccine passports. “We will continue to vaccinate more Texans and protect public health, and we will do so without treading on Texans’ personal freedoms,” Gov. Abbott said, adding:4

[A]s I have said all along, these vaccines are always voluntary and never forced,” Abbott said. “Government should not require any Texan to show proof of vaccination and reveal private health information just to go about their daily lives.5

Governments in other states, including Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina, have also indicated opposition to vaccine passports.6 7 8 9 10

Georgia and Mississippi Governors Do Not Support Vaccine Passports

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp said on Apr. 6, “I do not and will not support any kind of state-mandated vaccine passport. While the development of multiple safe, highly effective COVID-19 vaccines has been a scientific miracle, the decision to receive the vaccine should be left up to each individual.”6

Mississippi’s Governor Tate Reeves is also not a fan of vaccine passports. On Apr. 4, he said, “I don’t think it’s necessary and I don’t think it’s a good thing to do in America.” He added that, “at some point we have to let Americans make the decision that they think is best for them and their family.”7 8

South Carolina Lawmakers Urge Governor to Ban Vaccine Passports

In South Carolina, the state legislators sent a letter to Governor Henry McMaster on Apr. 2 urging him to ban vaccine passports.9 10 The lawmakers wrote:

The use of ‘vaccine passports’ to restrict commerce is a threat to both personal liberty and medical privacy. We are committed to fighting this violation at the federal level, and we urge you to do the same by working with Attorney General [Alan] Wilson at the state level.9 10

White House Statement Discounts Federally Required Vaccine Passports

During a press conference on Apr. 7, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated that the federal government will not issue vaccine passports but the Biden administration will be working with companies, which are independently developing vaccine passports requiring individuals to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, to address privacy protection issues. “The government is not now, nor will we be, supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential,” Psaki said. “There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential.”11

She added, “Our interest is very simple from the federal government, which is American’s privacy and rights should be protected so that these systems are not used against people unfairly.”12

On Apr. 5, 2021, Newsweek reported that Anthony Fauci, MD, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and chief medical advisor to the Biden administration, thinks it’s likely some businesses will require customers to show proof of vaccination before entering a space occupied by other customers or employees.13

There may be theaters that say, ‘You don’t get in unless you have proof of vaccination.’ There may be colleges or other educational institutions that do that. I’m not saying they should or that they would—I’m saying you could see how an independent entity might say, ‘Well, we can’t be dealing with you unless you’re vaccinated, but it’s not going to be mandated from the federal government.13

Video: DARPA Is Working On COVID Vaccine, Implantable Microchip To Detect Virus

Coronavirus- Interview with Dr. Francis A. Boyle

In this interview, Francis Boyle — whose background includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, a juris doctor (lawyer) degree from Harvard and a Ph.D. in political science — shares his theory of the origin of this novel coronavirus. • Francis Boyle, who for decades has advocated against the development and use of bioweapons, suspects COVID-19 is a weaponized pathogen that escaped from Wuhan City’s Biosafety Level 4 facility, which was specifically set up to research coronaviruses and SARS • According to Boyle, the COVID-19 virus is a chimera. It includes SARS, an already weaponized coronavirus, along with HIV genetic material and possibly flu virus. It also has gain of function properties that allow it to spread a greater distance than normal • The incubation period for COVID-19 infection is still unknown, but estimates range from 14 days to 30 days • The U.S. government spent $100 billion on biological warfare programs since September 11, 2011, up until October 2015 • While there have so far only been a limited number of reported cases of COVID-19 infection in the U.S., the U.S. military has designated several detention sites around the country to quarantine Americans, should the situation take a turn for the worse Read more → https://articles.mercola.com/sites/ar... The Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is working on a COVID vaccine that will work on all variants and has developed an implantable microchip that it says will continuously monitor the human body for signs of the virus.

Retired Colonel Matt Hepburn, an army infectious disease physician heading up DARPA’s response to the pandemic, appeared on 60 Minutes to demonstrate the technology.

Holding up a vial of green tissue-like gel, which contains the chip, Hepburn proclaimed “You put it underneath your skin and what that tells you is that there are chemical reactions going on inside the body, and that signal means you are going to have symptoms tomorrow.”

“It’s like a ‘check engine light,” Hepburn added, noting that those with the chip “would get the signal, then self-administer a blood draw and test themselves on site.”

“We can have that information in three to five minutes,” Hepburn continued, adding “As you truncate that time, as you diagnose and treat, what you do is you stop the infection in its tracks.”

Hepburn also declared that DARPA has developed a filter to remove the virus from the blood via a dialysis machine and that the FDA has approved it, and it has already been used on 300 patients.

The 60 Minutes report also highlights how the pentagon has hundreds of tissue samples from soldiers and sailors infected with pathogens all over the world, including the 1918 Spanish Flu which killed millions globally.

Pentagon scientist Dr Kayvon Modjarrad also highlighted that the military is developing a one size fits all vaccine for COVID, commenting “This is not science fiction, this is science fact.”

“We have the tools, we have the technology, to do this all right now,” he said explaining that the goal is to inoculate people against potentially deadly viruses that have not even appeared yet.

“Killer viruses that we haven’t seen or even imagined, we’ll be protected against,” Modjarrad declared.

It was recently revealed that a third of active duty service members opted out of taking the COVID vaccine, with sources claiming the actual figure is probably closer to half.

The finding prompted the likes of TIME to declare that ‘vaccine hesitancy’ is threatening national security, and that while “These troops may not be co-opted by domestic terrorists, but they are clearly influenced by conspiracy theorists online and they just don’t trust basic science.”

The DARPA announcement of implantable microchip technology tied to the virus and a vaccine will likely only serve to enforce concerns the media continually describes as ‘conspiracy theories.’

Alex Jones reported on the DARPA developments last September:

Bioweapons policy expert Dr. Francis Boyle has also warned of forthcoming DARPA vaccine experiments, noting that it is a long-standing practice of the secretive agency:

SARAH CORRIHER: YouTube’s LGBTQ Hero Grooms Teenage Boys

Rumble — Whenever a homosexual is exposed for pedophilia, the fake outrage immediately quells. Nobody is really shocked. So, when numerous allegations of pedophilia were leveled against YouTube star James Charles, his corporate sponsors stayed mute. They weren't surprised and they didn't care. Nobody was canceled or even condemned. It's business as usual. Most importantly, nobody will mention that the entire LGBTQ movement is about normalizing pedophilia and sexualizing children. Whether it's this case or tranny story hour, the pattern is unmistakable.

Former House Speaker Boehner calls Jim Jordan and Ted Cruz ‘political terrorists’

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2021/04/former-house-speaker-boehner-calls-jim-jordan-and-ted-cruz-political-terrorists;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Boehner is a member of the single-party political elite that holds sway in Washington. As Speaker, he was part of the controlled opposition and is now engaged here in an act of defaming and attempting to destroy members of the genuine opposition. As for his use of the word “terrorist,” it’s noteworthy that in September 2014, as Speaker of the House, he voted in favor of aid to Syrian jihad groups that were ostensibly fighting against the Islamic State. The New York Times noted the “rare unity between House Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio and Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, the minority leader.”

Boehner would never have dreamed of calling the Syrian recipients of that American aid “terrorists,” yet Breitbart reported at the time that “the US-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA), Al Nusra Front, and the Islamic State have paired together in order to fight President Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian Armed Forces, according to statements from multiple commanders from within the FSA. ‘We are collaborating with the Islamic State and the Nusra Front by attacking the Syrian Army’s gatherings in… Qalamoun,’ said Bassel Idriss, a commander of a Free Syrian Army brigade.”

In July 2013, Free Syrian Army fighters entered the Christian village of Oum Sharshouh and began burning down houses and terrorizing the population, forcing 250 Christian families to flee the area. Worthy News reported that just two days later, Free Syrian Army rebels “targeted the residents of al-Duwayr/Douar, a Christian village close to the city of Homs and near Syria’s border with Lebanon….Around 350 armed militants forcefully entered the homes of Christian families who were all rounded-up in the main square of the village and then summarily executed.” And in September 2013, a day after Secretary of State John Kerry praised the Free Syrian Army as “a real moderate opposition,” the FSA took to the Internet to post videos of its attack on the ancient Syrian Christian city of Maaloula.

But for the unspeakable John Boehner, Jim Jordan and Ted Cruz are terrorists; the Free Syrian Army is not.

“Former House Speaker John Boehner accuses some in Congress of being ‘political terrorists,'” CBS, April 9, 2021:

Former Speaker of the House John Boehner accuses some members of Congress of being political terrorists, and shares his emotions about the attack on the Capitol, in his first television interview for his revealing new memoir, on “CBS Sunday Morning,” to be broadcast April 11….

Below are some excerpts from the interview:

JOHN DICKERSON: “You call some of these members ‘political terrorists.'”

JOHN BOEHNER: “Oh, yeah, Jim Jordan especially, my colleague from Ohio. I just never saw a guy who spent more time tearing things apart – never building anything, never putting anything together.”

And here’s another excerpt of Boehner on Texas Senator Ted Cruz:

BOEHNER: “I don’t beat anybody up, it’s – not really my style, except that jerk. … Perfect symbol, you know, of getting elected, make a lotta noise, draw a lot of attention to yourself, raise a lotta money, which means you’re gonna go make more noise, raise more money, and – it’s really, it’s unfortunate.”

In his memoir, “On the House: A Washington Memoir” (St. Martin’s Press), Boehner writes that Mr. Trump incited the insurrection “for nothing more than selfish reasons, perpetuated by the [expletive] he’s been shoveling since he lost a fair election the previous November.” However, when pressed during the interview for “Sunday Morning,” Boehner would not go that far with his language….

Boehner and Dickerson also discuss how Congress has changed as a result of a group of extremists and how they threaten the health of the institution and the Republican Party, as well as how he is spending his time now that he is out of office.

The NRA Opposes David Chipman for ATF Director~Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert: Gun Control is a way to “enslave & control the people”

David Chipman

Biden nominates David Chipman for Director of ATF

Today, the president nominated former ATF agent and staunch anti-gun advocate David Chipman for the position of director of the ATF. Chipman's resume includes stints working for anti-gun groups Everytown for Gun Safety, and currently the Giffords gun control group. During his time as an ATF agent, he was also involved in the Waco massacre as the case agent, which you'll remember as the time the government burned down a building full of little kids. It's difficult for me to remain objective about this, since this nomination would place someone at the reigns of the agency responsible for regulating the firearms industry and gun ownership who is completely opposed to private ownership of guns.

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- During a press conference on Thursday, President Biden announced that he would once again be targeting law-abiding gun owners by ordering ATF to develop two new restrictive regulations. Aiming to accessorize the Department of Justice’s anti-gun leadership team, Biden announced his nomination of gun control lobbyist David Chipman for Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

It’s hard to imagine choosing a nominee who is more hostile to the rights of American gun owners than Chipman.

Chipman is a Gun Control Extremist

David Chipman’s current employer, Giffords, co-founded by the United States Senator Mark Kelly, filed a brief in the landmark Second Amendment case, District of Columbia v. Heller. The brief argued that “The Second Amendment Does Not Limit the Options Available to Cities to Address the Problem of Gun Violence.” Notably, Giffords argued that the District’s complete ban on the possession of handguns by law-abiding Americans was constitutional. Such an interpretation would have completely eviscerated the Second Amendment.

This extremist view put Giffords sharply out of touch with the American people. Nearly, three-quarters of Americans at the time thought the Second Amendment “guaranteed an individual right to own gun.” For those who might think that Giffords has moved on from such extreme views, their law center’s website still proudly notes that they filed the brief arguing “that the right to possess a firearm is not based on an individual right of self-defense, but rather related to service in a militia based on the prefatory language in the Amendment.”

Chipman Wants to Target America’s Rifle

In October 2018, Chipman argued in favor of subjecting all AR-15s and potentially all semi-automatic rifles to regulation under the National Firearms Act. Beyond the problems of subjecting the most popular rifle in America to punitive taxation and registration, such a move would likely lead to a decade-long backlog in NFA registrations, effectively banning America’s rifle, firearm suppressors, and other firearms currently subject to NFA regulation.

ATF operates on a “normal” backlog of 9-12 months for NFA applications. Even with this backlog and despite the registry being nearly 90 years old, as of 2020 there were only 6.6 million firearms in the registry. And, in recent years ATF has had the capacity to process only about 350,000 NFA forms per year. Even using the most conservative estimate for the number of AR-15s in America, with ATF’s current forms processing capacity, the agency would clear the backlog in NFA forms sometime around 2070. And, that’s only if the agency didn’t process a single NFA form for a suppressor, short-barreled rifle, or other NFA firearm.

As an agent with ATF for over two decades, Chipman is familiar with the agency’s NFA form processing capacity. He likely sees such a delay as a feature rather than a defect.

Chipman reiterated his wish to subject existing AR-15s to the NFA in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” last year, but he further explained his position on future sales: “The biggest challenge we have is sheer numbers. It has been estimated that there are around 15 million assault rifles currently in circulation. I believe we should ban the future production and sale to civilians and afford current owners of these firearms the ability to license these particular guns with ATF under the National Firearms Act.”

Chipman Has Repeatedly Lied to Further his Gun Ban Agenda

Regular readers of NRA-ILA alerts are likely familiar with Chipman’s lies.

In 2019, we explained how Chipman was trying to mislead the public regarding firearms suppressors. He claimed that “The gun does not sound gun-like. It takes the edge out of the tone . . . This is how I would describe it: It makes a gun sort of sound like a nail gun.” As we said at the time, “The 30-35 dBA difference between a nail gun and a suppressed pistol will be perceived as at least eight times louder to the human ear.”

And, this wasn’t even the first time he lied about firearm suppressors. In 2017, Chipman claimed, “Anyone who has worked in law enforcement for as long as I have will tell you that silencers were not designed to protect hearing, they were designed to make it difficult for people to identify the sound of gunfire and locate active shooters.” Again, at the time, we set the record straight by pointing out that he was simply flat wrong regarding the design intent of firearm suppressors. “Unfortunately for Mr. Chipman, Hiram Percy Maxim, the designer of the firearm suppressor, made his design intent perfectly clear.  Maxim wrote “The Maxim Silencer was developed to meet my personal desire to enjoy target practice without creating a disturbance . . . I have always loved to shoot, but I never thoroughly enjoyed it when I knew that the noise was annoying other people. It occurred to me one day that there was no need for the noise. Why not do away with it and shoot quietly?” At the time, Chipman’s employer also received three “Pinocchios” from the Washington Post for another misleading claim about firearm suppressors.

In the same Reddit “Ask Me Anything” discussed above, Chipman made the absurd claim that “At Waco, cult members used 2 .50 caliber Barretts to shoot down two Texas Air National Guard helicopters. Point, it is true we are fortunate they are not used in crime more often. The victims of drug lords in Mexico are not so lucky. America plays a role in fueling the violence south of the border.” Needless to say, no helicopters were “shot down” “at Waco.”

In testimony before the House Judiciary Committee in 2019, Chipman claimed that the American gun market was “flooded” with “foreign-made ARs.” Anyone even remotely familiar with the American gun market knows that this claim is false. Not only are nearly all AR-15s made in America, but continued strong demand for ARs seems to also refute his notion that the market was “flooded.”

It is clear that, if confirmed, Chipman would use every tool at his disposal to attack the rights of law-abiding American gun owners.

Chipman’s views on the Second Amendment and his work as a gun prohibitionist should disqualify him from serving as the Director of the ATF.

Rep. Lauren Boebert: Gun Control is a way to 'Enslave and Control the People'

“Democrats & their allies seek to enslave and control the people of the United States and every aspect of their lives.”

Fearless Second Amendment defender and Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert responded to installed puppet Joe Biden’s ridiculous gun control executive actions with a truth bomb on Twitter.

Biden dutifully obeyed the “impatient activists” pushing to disarm Americans with his series of executive actions designed to degrade and dismantle the Second Amendment to the Constitution, which states that the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.” The rights outlined in the Constitution are meaningless unless Americans understand their rights and fight for them.

During his embarrassing, error-ridden speech, Biden announced David Chipman as his pick to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) (which Biden referred to as the “AFT” twice). Chipman is a gun control activist who notoriously lied about events that occurred in in Waco in 1993, claiming that members of the Branch Davidian sect “shot down two helicopters during a standoff with federal agents”, a blatant lie.

From the History Channel:

“Though initially reluctant, Attorney General Janet Reno ended up approving a plan to fire CS gas (a form of tear gas) into the Mount Carmel compound to try and force out the Davidians. Just after 6 a.m. on April 19, 1993, FBI agents used two specially equipped tanks to penetrate the compound and deposit some 400 containers of gas inside.

Soon after the attack ended, around 12 pm, several fires simultaneously broke out around the compound, and gunfire was heard inside. Safety concerns prevented firefighters from entering Mount Carmel immediately, and the flames spread quickly and engulfed the property.

Though nine Davidians were able to escape, investigators later found 76 bodies inside the compound, including 25 children. Some of them, including [David] Koresh, had fatal gunshot wounds, suggesting suicide or murder-suicide.”

According to a must-read article at lawofficer.com, “Chipman’s Twitter account is now private and in recent days, he deleted more than 1000 tweets.” Chipman is “senior policy adviser” to former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ gun grabbing organization.

Citing founding father George Mason‘s quote: “To disarm the people is the most effectual way to enslave them,” Boebert said in part that “Democrats & their allies seek to enslave and control the people of the United States and every aspect of their lives.”

RAIR Foundation USA’s Amy Mek is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Last month Mek Tweeted “Nazi Germany established gun control in 1938 & from 1939 to 1945, Millions of Jews & others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up & exterminated”, she said. “I refuse to be a victim!”, she continued.

In 2019, he told the House Judiciary Committee that the American firearms market was “flooded” with foreign-made ARs.

This claim is far from true.

With a few exceptions – very few—most ARs are manufactured in the United States.
