Top High Schools Scrap Merit-Based Admission

San Francisco's Lowell High School is one of the top public high schools in California. Beginning with its 2021 freshman class, Lowell plans to switch from a merit-based admission system to that of a lottery.

How good is Lowell? It ranked 68th nationwide by U.S. News last year.

About the school's reputation for academic excellence, The San Francisco Unified School District website says: "(Lowell) has been recognized 4 times as a National Blue Ribbon School, 8 times as a California Distinguished School, and one time as a Gold Ribbon School. Lowell has been consistently ranked #1 in the Western Region for the number of Advanced Placement Exams given."

How did students get admitted to Lowell? The SFUSD website still says: "Admission to Lowell is competitive and merit-based, serving students from throughout the city who demonstrate academic excellence and are motivated to pursue a rigorous college preparatory program."

About 60% of the student body is Asian, 18% white and1.8% Black. This is apparently a problem and explains why the SFUSD recently unanimously voted to admit students via this lottery system.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the "problem" is Asian American excellence: "One school board commissioner, Alison Collins, has called merit-based admissions 'racist.' The real problem progressives have with Lowell is that too many Asian-Americans are passing the entrance exam."

This brings us to Thomas Jefferson High School of Science and Technology in Fairfax, Virginia, often the top-rated public high school in the country. TJ also plans to drop their admissions test and are debating on how to replace it. The problem? Over 70% of the student body is Asian American. Fairfax County Public School Board Superintendent Scott Brabrand proposed a "merit-based" lottery for 400 of the 500 spots in the school's classes. About that alternative, The Washington Post said: "The lottery proposal spurred controversy from the moment Brabrand introduced it on Sept. 15. He promised it would cause TJ's student body — which is more than 70% Asian and about 20% white, with single-digit percentages of Black and Hispanic students — to more closely resemble the demographics of Fairfax County."

So much for merit. So much for a colorblind society.

Let's assume that Lowell and TJ's competitive merit-based admissions policy resulted in a student-body population that is predominately Black, as is the case with the National Basketball Association. In 2020, the league that prides itself on its racial "wokeness" consisted of 81% Black players and 18% white players. In the NFL, in 2019, approximately 59% of players were Black. As to Major League Baseball, UPI, in 2019, wrote: "By 2017, 27.4 percent of MLB players were Latinos, according to the date compiled by the Society of American Baseball Research." This is roughly 50% more than percentage of the population of Latinos in America.

To correct for these "racial imbalances " and the "underrepresentation" of some groups, suppose professional sports organizations decided, like Lowell High, to use a lottery system? The new rules would prevent the Black player-heavy NBA, the Black player-heavy NFL and the Latino-heavy MLB from drafting the best college players, provided, of course, they had the misfortune of being born Black or Latino.

In 2012, Pew Research Center polled Asian Americans and asked their reaction to the statement, "Most people who want to get ahead can make it if they're willing to work hard." Sixty-nine percent of Asian Americans agreed, as opposed to 58% of the general population. Pew explained: "Compared with the general public, Asian Americans stand out for their success in education and career. Most also believe that the U.S. offers more opportunities and freedoms than their countries of origin. A large majority of Asian Americans believe that hard work pays off and most place a strong emphasis on higher education, career and family."

Why punish the best college players because "too many" Blacks excel in sports? Why punish Asian American students for the crime of working hard and outperforming others academically?

Ask the San Francisco Unified School District and Fairfax County Public School Board.

Pushing the Boulder Jihad Into Invisibility

Why the Left is so callous towards the victims of Jihad and Sharia.

Jihad Denial

The Left’s war on its own host democratic society is greatly enabled by its consistent and focused empowerment of that society’s enemies. As explained earlier, this is precisely why the Left sided with communism during the Cold War and why, today, it works collaboratively with Islamic supremacism within the Unholy Alliance in the terror war.1 Islamic supremacism has simply replaced communism as the Left’s ally against America and the West over the course of the past quarter-century.

The Left well understands that in order to facilitate Islamic supremacism’s assault on our society, it must suppress the ugly, discomfiting truth about this fascistic ideology and movement. Doing so is completely natural for the Left, which has routinely turned a blind eye to evil and to undesirable elements within adversary cultures, ideologies and religions for decades. When Western citizens recognize an ugly truth about an enemy society, it poses a tremendous danger to the Left because (1) the conclusion can be reached that Western society is better and, therefore, worth protecting and defending; (2) the nature of the actual threat the enemy poses and a way to counter that threat can be discerned; and (3) the importance of preventing adherents of the enemy ideology from coming to live on the host society’s terrain becomes plainly evident.

All of the above realizations are anathema to progressives, whose entire mission falls into ruins if citizens of their host society understand the evil of an adversarial system. The Left’s goal of destroying its own society, and of constructing upon its ruins a utopia of perfect integration, equality and sameness, simply crumbles if people take concrete steps to defend their own society from the enemy -- which includes recognizing the destructiveness of immigration and refugee policies designed to import hostile populations.

Thus, we begin to understand why the Left is so unsympathetic to the victims of Jihad and Sharia -- and why it consistently pushes them into invisibility. Their reality and suffering is bad news for the Left. When people witness the horrific ordeal of human beings tortured and murdered by the adherents of Islamic supremacism, they begin to see Islam for what it is. The Left is determined to stop this from happening, since its agenda cannot succeed if people understand the truth about the threat that they face. This is exactly why the Left engaged in Gulag Denial throughout the Cold War; denying the monstrous evils of communism was crucial for the Left’s war on its own host society, and for its effort to help communists conquer that society.2

And so we have Jihad Denial -- the Left’s vehement effort to silence those who dare to tell the truth about Islamic supremacism. The Left has to keep Jihad Denial alive and healthy, so that its plan of building its Tower of Babel on the ashes of its host society can move forward.3 Most important for the Left is the tactic of disconnecting Islam from Islamic terrorism. As has been shown in Chapter 1, and as will be documented further in the ensuing chapters, the Left has succeeded brilliantly in this effort. Indeed, while controlling the culture and framing the national discourse on this issue, the Left has arrogated the moral high-ground to itself when engaging in Jihad Denial, posturing as though it is working toward a society of social justice and fairness, while it paints all Muslims as victims of Western transgressions -- even during the height of an age that is replete with Islamic terrorism.

Any person, meanwhile, who dares to whisper any sobering truth about Islam is now immediately shamed and dehumanized. Labelled a racist, bigot and “Islamophobe” who supposedly hates all Muslim people and thinks that all Muslims are terrorists, this individual is caricatured as a mouthpiece of “hate speech” and an inciter of violence against Muslims. He is regarded as someone who needs to be silenced and, ideally, criminalized.4

One transparent example of this atrocious distortion that comes with Jihad Denial is the case of leading counter-jihadist Pamela Geller and the slanders leveled against her. Geller is perpetually cast by the Unholy Alliance as an “Islamophobe” and a “Muslim hater,”5 when in fact she is a noble humanitarian who is motivated not just by the desire to defend Western freedom, but also by an impulse to protect Muslim people themselves -- especially Muslim women and young girls who suffer under the vicious barbarities of Islamic gender apartheid. Geller has, for instance, done more on behalf of Muslim women than have any of her slanderers. Emblematic of her efforts was her fight on behalf of Aqsa Parvez, a 16-year-old Muslim girl who was murdered by her Muslim father and brother in an honor killing in Toronto, in 2007. Geller brought attention to Aqsa’s case and had a memorial grove successfully built in the girl’s memory in Israel -- after Aqsa’s family and other Unholy Alliance forces had made it impossible for Geller to do so in Ontario.6

Geller’s valiant efforts to bring attention to Aqsa’s fate were part of her overall campaign to shine a light on the shameful practice of honor killings and on the suffering of all Muslim women under Islam in general. Such efforts are symbolized by the page on Geller’s website titled “Honor Killings Grow in the West: Islam’s Gruesome Gallery,” which documents horrific cases in which Muslim women were subjected to honor killings and acid attacks.7 It is worth noting that the members of the Unholy Alliance who smear Geller are the ones who are actually engaged in the hatred of Muslim people, since their assault on this counter-jihadist inevitably exonerates the Islamic ideology that inspires and sanctions the oppression of Muslims themselves -- and leaves millions of them helplessly ensnared by the shackles of Sharia. When the Unholy Alliance demonizes Geller, it actually exacerbates the suffering of Muslim people and depicts them as inferior, since it lowers expectations of how Muslims should treat each other and non-Muslims. This way of thinking holds Western societies to a higher standard of moral accountability, which confers an implied civilizational superiority on these societies and civilizational inferiority on Muslim societies. This is a dark form of leftist bigotry that is, with a few exceptions, never discussed in our media and culture.8

The Left used all of these same dirty tactics during the Cold War as well, labelling any conservative who tried to oppose communist aggression and infiltration as a “fascist,” “McCarthyite” and “Red-Baiter” (among other terms) -- while making victims and martyrs out of many traitors who were in league with the communist enemy (i.e. the Rosenbergs, Alger Hiss etc.).9

Jihad Denial, therefore, is a powerful mechanism through which the Left advances its malicious goals. It assists the Left, for instance, in bringing Islamic supremacist populations to Western shores through Hijrah -- the process of Jihad-by-immigration.10 By importing masses of people who hate America and seek to destroy its way of life, the Left succeeds in severely damaging the United States and making it more vulnerable to attack. This explains why President Obama worked so hard to flood the U.S. with Muslim refugees11 and why the Left is now so ferociously fighting Trump’s efforts to protect America from refugees who hail from terror-infested nations.12

By denying the true character and roots of Jihad and Sharia through Jihad Denial, the Left prevents an evil enemy from being exposed and, in turn, enables that enemy. And the Left has been extremely successful in this feat, having imposed Jihad Denial on Western culture to such an extent that we are now seeing the virtual surrender of our civilization in the face of Islamic supremacism. Indeed, the West is now perpetually bending over backwards in its effort to silence any truth-telling about Islam and, of course, to disconnect Islam from every Islamic terror attack. Anyone who tries to point out unpleasant truths about Islam is either demonized or silenced. Many people are simply too scared to say what they see and think about Islam, because they are terrified of being called racists and suffering the consequences of being tarred with that word -- consequences that may include stigmatization, marginalization, getting fired from one’s job, being held back in one’s career, being criminally charged, and much more.13

All in all, what Jihad Denial has achieved is to make the real perpetrators the victims, and the victims the perpetrators. Patriotism is now considered hatred -- while self-defense is regarded as an incitement to violence against innocents. As a result, the effort to defend Western civilization from Islamic supremacism has been largely paralyzed.

Our next step in evaluating this disaster is to explore how Jihad Denial works as a machine. It is vital to lay bare the main arguments utilized by Jihad Denial, since they are extremely calculating, deceptive, and destructive. In the next chapter, we outline and discredit the specious facades of Jihad Denial.

The Unaccompanied Minors

Americans have finally gotten a glimpse of the horrible conditions under which the Biden administration is essentially warehousing alien children who show up on the southern border in response to Biden’s words and policies.

Biden tried to block the photos and has attempted to erect a wall of secrecy around his administration to avoid being made accountable.

This is a true humanitarian crisis, make no mistake, but these children are mere pawns in the political game being played by the Biden Administration.

For all of the breast-beating by the Democrats during the Trump administration who complained stridently about the “kids in cages” we now see that the Biden administration has resorted to the use of dangerously overcrowded pens that look more suitable for holding livestock than children, and this is happening during the COVID-19 Pandemic where we are constantly told to wear masks and maintain “social distancing.”

The media will now, undoubtedly focus their attention on the children while ignoring broader issues that emanate from the immigration crisis that the Biden administration refuses to describe as a crisis.  It is becoming obvious that they won’t use that term because they are getting exactly what they want: to flood America with huge numbers of immigrants for political purposes.  

Flooding America with huge numbers of aliens will cause many Americans to lose their jobs and/or suffer wage suppression, pushing more Americans into poverty and reliance on government programs that the Democrats are happy to provide, thus forcing millions of Americans to vote for the Democrats--the “Party of the hand-out.”

In May of last year I wrote, For Dems to Succeed, Americans Must Fail,  Many believe that the leaders of the Democrat Party seek to import huge numbers of immigrants who would ultimately vote for their candidates.  What most don’t realize that the apparent plan of the Democrat Party is far worse than that.  My dad used to say that you can turn capitalists into communists by taking away their money.

However, the huge numbers of aliens who have flooded the southern border of the United States, have overwhelmed the entire immigration system; this is the obvious goal of the Biden administration.

The current situation should surprise no one given the statements made by Mr. Biden even before he was sworn in and given his selection of Alejandro Mayorkas for Secretary of Homeland Security, as I noted in my article that was published on December 7, 2020, Biden's DHS: Department of Homeland Surrender: Alejandro Mayorkas, architect of DACA, picked by Biden to head DHS. 

In reality, the immigration system has been overwhelmed for decades.  The key to imbuing the immigration system involves much, much more than simply hiring more Border Patrol agents. 

The immigration system desperately needs to have ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents to imbue the immigration system with meaningful integrity.

Back in May 2019, during the Trump administration, I wrote an article, Jihad At The Border that focused on how the border crisis back then facilitated the entry of terrorists.

My earlier article included this passage that is certainly even more relevant today than it was then:

Thus the ability of the already beleaguered U.S. Border Patrol to secure our porous and dangerous southern border has been diminished by 40%.

Those who study history, specifically World War II know that “D-Day,” also known as “Operation Overlord” was only successful because of a diversion created by the Allies known as the “Calais Deception” that was officially labeled “Operation Fortitude.”

General George Patton was put in charge of a phantom division that consisted of inflatable tanks and trucks that from the air, created the elaborate but false illusion of a large contingent of soldiers preparing to attack Germany at the Pas-de-Calais rather than at Normandy where the attack would actually be mounted.

The Germans were thus conned into splitting up their defensive forces, leaving Normandy vulnerable to the Allies on June 6, 1944.

Today our Border Patrol and, indeed, the entire immigration system, is being inundated by huge numbers of illegal aliens forcing the Border Patrol to deploy many of its agents to assignment that remove them from the primary mission of securing vast stretches of unsecured border.

This was why the border wall was so important, not to block people and commerce from entering the United States, after all, the wall did not block off ports of entry, but to funnel all commerce and people seeking entry into the United States to the ports of entry so that they could be vetted and a record of their entry created.

Today the Border Patrol is so overwhelmed that, on March 20 the National Review reported: CBP Asks to Fly Migrants to Canadian Border for Processing amid Surge: Report.  

The very next day, on March 21, 2021 Fox News reported, Border Patrol in Rio Grande Valley releasing illegal crossers into US without court date.  

What happens on the border does not stay on the border.  Once past the border, these aliens are free to travel across the United States and settle in towns and cities across the United States.

Sanctuary cities further entice aliens who have criminal backgrounds to set up shop in those towns where they can continue their “criminal careers.”  This also applies to terrorists.

It is more than ironic that while Nancy Pelosi has demanded a “9/11-style commission” to investigate the riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, she and her political cohorts blatantly violate the findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission where immigration is concerned.

The mainstream media is no better, ignoring the nexus between immigration failures and the ability of terrorists to enter the United States, embed themselves and go about their deadly preparations that were clearly laid out in The 9/11 Commission Report and the companion report, 9/11 and Terrorist Travel: Staff Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States.

The latter report addressed the importance of the enforcement of our immigration laws from within the interior of the United States:

Page 54 contained this excerpt under the title “3.2 Terrorist Travel Tactics by Plot.”

Although there is evidence that some land and sea border entries (of terrorists) without inspection occurred, these conspirators mainly subverted the legal entry system by entering at airports.

In doing so, they relied on a wide variety of fraudulent documents, on aliases, and on government corruption. Because terrorist operations were not suicide missions in the early to mid-1990s, once in the United States terrorists and their supporters tried to get legal immigration status that would permit them to remain here, primarily by committing serial, or repeated, immigration fraud, by claiming political asylum, and by marrying Americans. Many of these tactics would remain largely unchanged and undetected throughout the 1990s and up to the 9/11 attack.

Thus, abuse of the immigration system and a lack of interior immigration enforcement were unwittingly working together to support terrorist activity. It would remain largely unknown since no agency of the United States government analyzed terrorist travel patterns until after 9/11. This lack of attention meant that critical opportunities to disrupt terrorist travel and, therefore, deadly terrorist operations were missed.

In July 2001, the CIA warned of a possible link between human smugglers and terrorist groups, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and Egyptian Islamic Jihad.149   Indeed, there is evidence to suggest that since 1999 human smugglers have facilitated the travel of terrorists associated with more than a dozen extremist groups.150  With their global reach and connections to fraudulent document vendors and corrupt government officials, human smugglers clearly have the “credentials” necessary to aid terrorist travel.

Biden’s immigration policies have sparked uncontrolled immigration to an extent that it could be categorized as an invasion.

Therefore, it is appropriate that I end my commentary today with Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

 

Illegals for Biden

Never was the saying that Democrats import the electorate they prefer more obviously true than in recent days as Biden campaign flag-waving future Democrat voters overwhelmed the nation’s southern border at the invitation of the Biden-Harris regime.

Having ceded whites and blue-collar voters to Republicans, Democrats and their placeholder president who can barely climb the stairs to Air Force One, are mobilizing armies of illegal aliens from Latin America. They do this as a failsafe in case their signature legislation, H.R. 1, the proposed “For the People Act,” which would gut the First Amendment and turn America into a one-party state, fails to become law.

The people crashing the border and setting up camps near it make no effort to conceal their enthusiasm for the Democrats who want to do away with the U.S. border altogether. They want the massive amnesty Joe Biden promised them.

A man who crossed the border from Mexico at Tucson, Arizona, told ABC’s Martha Raddatz that he “basically” did so because Biden is now president.

“Would you have tried to do this when Donald Trump was president?” Raddatz asked the man.

“Definitely not,” the man replied.

Breitbart News published photos of “Biden for President 2020” flags displayed at a migrant tent city close to the border in Tijuana, Mexico, as the future Democrat voters await U.S. immigration processing. No doubt many of them will head for Democrat-controlled so-called sanctuary cities.

Under Biden-Harris, no one new is being enrolled in the Trump administration’s “Remain in Mexico” program that required non-Mexican asylum-seekers appearing at the southern border to wait in Mexico for their claims to be adjudicated. The program, part of the Migrant Protection Protocols enforced by Trump, discouraged individuals from making fraudulent asylum claims.

These Migrant Protection Protocols, which were approved by Congress and signed into law during the Clinton administration, had not been used until then-Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen announced in December 2018 that they would be implemented. The goal, she said at the time, was to curtail the so-called catch-and-release system, in which individuals made fraudulent asylum claims knowing they would be allowed into the United States and would be able to stay for years before their court appearance.

“Aliens trying to game the system to get into our country illegally will no longer be able to disappear into the United States, where many skip their court dates. Instead, they will wait for an immigration court decision while they are in Mexico,” Nielsen said at the time.

Under Biden, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a memorandum providing that, effective January 21, it “will suspend new enrollments in the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), pending further review of the program. Aliens who aren’t already enrolled in MPP should be processed under other existing legal authorities.”

On February 2, Biden signed three new executive orders aimed at undoing Trump-era immigration policies. One of the documents, Biden said during a ceremony at the White House, “orders a full review of the previous administration’s harmful and counterproductive immigration policies, basically across the board.”

The Biden junta has done everything but roll out the red carpet for uninvited foreigners who now get VIP treatment, being placed in motels to await processing while the National Guard needlessly stationed around the United States Capitol complex are fed sickening food and given lousy accommodations.

“The Biden administration isn’t addressing a crisis, they’re exacerbating it,” said RJ Hauman, government relations director for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), according to Fox News.

“This is yet another message that will be heard loud and clear by human smugglers and everyone in Central America — keep coming to our southern border, things will run smoothly once you get here.”

Hours after being installed as president, Biden signed Presidential Proclamation 10142, in which he declared that “building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution,” describing the project as “a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security.”

The document revoked Trump’s Presidential Proclamation 9844 of Feb. 15, 2019, that declared a national emergency concerning the Southern border and invoked the National Emergencies Act. Trump ordered $2.5 billion in military drug interdiction funds redirected to the wall construction project on the southern border.

And those cages near the border for kids installed by the Obama-Biden administration but dishonestly blamed on the Trump-Pence administration are back again under the Biden-Harris junta.

Biden-Harris has implemented a “catch and release” program under which border crossers are ushered into the country on an expedited basis. Officials don’t bother issuing these individuals with the standard Notice to Appear requiring them to make a court appearance.

At the same time, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told Congress last week his department has released border-crossers into the interior without bothering to test them for the COVID-19 virus.

Mayorkas, by the way, denies there is a crisis at the border. He prefers to call it a “challenge,” while disingenuously blaming everything that is going wrong on former President Trump.

“It is taking time and it is difficult because the entire system was dismantled by the prior administration,” Mayorkas said on CNN as he invented facts out of thin air. “There was a system in place that was torn down by the Trump administration.”

Meanwhile, immigration officials caught almost 100,000 border crossers in February, up 170 percent over February 2020. More than 118,000 illegal aliens have crossed the border undetected since October 2020, Breitbart News reported.

Biden Spends 4 Times More to House Illegal Aliens Than on Troops

When the Democrats decided to launch their unconstitutional military occupation of Washington D.C., they summoned 26,000 National Guard troops from all over the country to serve as a captive audience for Biden’s inauguration in an empty city living in fear. Those troops were made to sleep on cold marble floors in the Capitol and later in a cold parking garage. They were fed tainted meat, food with metal shavings and worms, resulting in illnesses and hospitalization.

The bill for this disastrous mess came to $483 million. Nothing but the best for the troops.

As the massive flood of illegal alien migrants poured across the border, some wearing Biden t-shirts, coming to receive the illegal amnesty that he had promised them, they got a better deal.

No cold parking garage floors for future Democrat voters and no food with metal shavings.

Instead, Biden delivered a $86.9 million contract to house 1,200 illegal migrants in hotels.

That’s nearly four times as much money being spent per migrant compared to the total amount of spending per soldier. And since only a portion of that $483 million even went to providing for the troops, the actual discrepancy behind those numbers is much higher than it appears.

In the past, Best Western, Comfort Suites, and Hampton Inn hotels have been used to house illegal migrant invaders. But the Biden administration and its Democrat allies sent 5,000 troops to rest on the floor of a parking garage with only two bathrooms in cold weather.

The Democrats tried to do as little as they could for the troops. Only when photos of soldiers sleeping on the floor in Congress went viral were cots actually provided for them. Then they were banished as an embarrassment, and only when the photos of the parking garage went viral was the order rescinded. Then again, only when photos of rotten food went viral, were there some feeble promises of an investigation, but no one was actually held accountable.

Unlike drug dealers, vagrant junkies, and illegal aliens, the Dems don’t care about the troops.

"The Guard is 90 some-odd-percent male, and only about 20% of white males voted for Biden," one Democrat House member told CNN "They're probably not more than 25% of the people that are there protecting us who voted for Biden.

Statistically, amnestied illegal aliens are going to provide much better voting returns than 25%. Why bother providing for Republican voters, when you can provide for Democrats instead?

The $86.9 million illegal alien contract spends an estimated $12,000 per migrant every month.

Or almost $400 a day.

Even those troops that were staying in hotels were getting $149 hotel rooms. That doesn’t buy you much in Washington D.C. Meanwhile illegal aliens are costing a fantastic $398 a day.

When President Trump brought in the troops to protect the White House from the Black Lives Matter hateful mob, they stayed at the Marriott Marquis for $256 a night. And the illegal alien migrant mobs were staying in Mexico: instead of being dumped in small towns in Texas.

Under Biden, our soldiers get the worst, and the invaders from across the border get the best.

What are the illegal aliens getting for $398 a day? Aside from the digs and the food, there are the social services. It’s their first taste of the generous free welfare system that brought them here. And which they’ll be encouraged to keep voting for, legally or illegally, by the Democrats.

When Bill Clinton took office, there were bumper stickers reading, “There are homeless vets on the street and a draft dodger in the White House.” These days, Joe Biden, who got five draft deferments for asthma despite being a high school and college football player, is in the White House, while soldiers were sent to take breaks outside, and illegal aliens are housed in hotels.

Biden’s illegal amnesty push even included eliminating the term “illegal alien”. You can’t criticise Open Borders Biden for favoring illegal aliens when the term can’t even be used.

"Would you have tried to do this when Donald Trump was president?" ABC News' Martha Raddatz asked an illegal alien invader from Brazil.

"Definitely not," he replied. "We have a chance now."

“So did you come here because Joe Biden was elected president?" she inquired.

"Basically," he replied.

Illegal aliens are a key Democrat demographic. Even when they don’t vote, they prop up the ghost districts that wrongly provide Democrats with legislative seats. It’s why Democrats and their media fought so hard against reforming the census to inquire about citizenship.

The Democrat culture of corruption begins with fake districts, fake votes, and fake news.

Biden and the Democrats know who their supporters are. It’s why they’re fighting for amnesty and it’s why they treat their illegal alien invaders so much better than our soldiers.

The border crisis is not unexpected. It was inevitable.

The Democrats want to pretend that the arrival of the illegal alien mobs caught them by surprise. That’s a lie. And they want to pretend to be helpless in the face of their crisis even while they dump hordes of future Democrats in red states without even giving them a court date.

And when they’re not dumping them in red states in a bid to flip them down the road, they’re spending $12,000 a month to house them, feed them, and take the best possible care of them.

At taxpayer expense.

While millions of Americans are still suffering from the pandemic and its lockdowns, the Biden administration is conspiring to bring infected migrants into this country. While millions of Americans are out of work, Biden is giving away their jobs to newly arrived illegal aliens.

And while millions of Americans had their votes stolen, Biden is giving their votes to illegals.

That’s not just a crime: it’s a declaration of war on America.

Why is Biden spending far more on illegal aliens than on the troops? Because the illegal aliens marching to the border in Biden t-shirts are his real army. They’re the electoral army of a political invasion that is inflicting the will of D.C., Wall Street, and Big Tech on America.

The Democrats built walls in D.C. while shutting them down on the border. A Silicon Curtain has fallen over the free speech of America under the administration of contractors like Amazon and Google. Meanwhile the border between America and the world is as wide open as it gets.

The future of the Democrats isn’t in the small towns and farmlands of America they once claimed. Democrats revile the coal miners and factory workers they promised to defend. They loathe the ordinary working class people and the small business owners who built this country.

In their new Red Dawn, the socialists who imposed a military occupation on Washington D.C. now look to an invasion from south of the border to protect their tyrannical grip on power.

Biden’s army isn’t in Washington D.C. It’s not in any of the forts he’s determined to rename.

Wheaton College, which has ties to the Southern Baptist Convention and other mainstream Evangelical denominations, is home to many new woke faces of the Evangelical social justice movement, including Ed McGoatBeard Stetzer and Esau McCauley, who says that English Bible translations are untrustworthy because not enough black people were on the translation teams.

To say that either of these men has been given over to a false gospel would be an understatement–they are the false gospel and the heresy they propagate continues to invade Evangelical churches and institutions around the nation at an alarming rate.

Now, Wheaton College removing a plaque that’s been standing for 72 years which commemorates the deaths of a group of martyrs, including James Elliot and Ed McCully, two missionaries who were part of a group working to spread the Gospel to indigenous peoples in Ecuador, according to The Spectator.

“Recently, students, faculty, and staff have expressed concern about language on the plaque that is now recognized as offensive,” president Philip Ryken said in an email sent out to staff and students last week. “Specifically, the word “savage” is regarded as pejorative and has been used historically to dehumanize and mistreat indigenous peoples around the world.”

The move is indicative of just how far-reaching the tentacles of the insane left are, that such foolishness could have such an effect on the minds of young students seeking a career in ministry. Instead of destroying arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God–as we are taught to do in 2 Corinthians 10:5–Wheaton is complicit in the illicit takeover of minds as students are being taken captive by vain philosophy and empty deceit (Colossians 2:8).

If Wheaton were honest, biblically speaking, these murderers would be described as far worse than “savage”–they would be described as lost, idolaters, devoid of conscience and haters of God and God’s people, enemies of the Church and enemies of God who have perverted the grace of God beyond all comparison. Instead, Wheaton coddles them and treats them like victims like any good, woke institution should do.

UN leaders speak out against Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hatred

The UN is doubling down on its efforts to stamp out so-called “Islamophobia.” While the UN advocates “policies that fully respect human rights and religious, cultural and unique human identity,” it makes no mention of the vast abuses of those rights which are routinely perpetrated by Muslims in the name of Islam across the world. Normative Islam creates no space for human rights, religious rights and equal rights for all. The ignoring of these critical issues by the UN should be glaring to every observer.

Renewed UN efforts against “Islamophobia” come on the heels of Pakistan (infamous for its cruel blasphemy laws) joining the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the first-ever “International Day to Combat Islamophobia.”

A claim was also made by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that “Islamophobia” and ‘anti-Muslim bigotry’ has risen to ‘epidemic proportions.'” But he provided no evidence.

Back in April 2019, the UN adopted a resolution to highlight the claim that “Islamophobia poses a threat to global peace.” The resolution, which decried the New Zealand mosque attack, was co-sponsored by Pakistan. It “strongly” condemned “continuing violence and acts of terrorism targeting individuals, including persons belonging to religious minorities, based on religion or belief.” One would think that such wording was referring to the genocide of Christians by Muslims in Africa and the Middle East, as well as the persecution of other religious minorities, including Ahmadis). But the resolution was aimed solely at so-called “Islamophobia.”

Globalist leaders who embrace the “Islamophobia” subterfuge are severely undermining the human rights of “infidels,” “kaffirs,” and “apostates” everywhere while empowering the jihad and the OIC’s Islamic supremacism.

Underlining that “diversity is a richness, not a threat”, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for greater investment in promoting social cohesion and tackling bigotry in a message on Wednesday to mark the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.

“We must continue to push for policies that fully respect human rights and religious, cultural and unique human identity”, he said in a pre-recorded video broadcast during a commemorative event held online, organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

“As the Holy Quran reminds us: nations and tribes were created to know one another.”

‘Epidemic’ of hatred
Nearly 60 countries are members of the OIC, which designated 15 March as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.

The Secretary-General cited a recent report to the UN Human Rights Council which found that suspicion, discrimination and outright hatred towards Muslims has risen to “epidemic proportions”.

Examples listed included disproportionate restrictions against Muslims manifesting their beliefs, limits on accessing citizenship, and widespread stigmatization of Muslim communities.

The study also highlighted how Muslim women face “triple levels of discrimination” because of their gender, ethnicity and faith, he added, while the media and some persons in power have further compounded stereotypes.

‘Distressing trends’ globally
“Anti-Muslim bigotry is sadly in line with other distressing trends we are seeing globally – a resurgence in ethno-nationalism, neo-Nazism, stigma and hate speech targeting vulnerable populations including Muslims, Jews, some minority Christian communities as well as others”, the Secretary-General said.

Stressing that “discrimination diminishes us all”, the UN chief called for safeguarding the rights of minority communities, many of whom are under threat.

“As we move toward evermore multi-ethnic and multi-religious societies, we need political, cultural and economic investments to strengthen social cohesion and tackle bigotry,” he stated.

The Secretary-General underscored that fighting discrimination, racism and xenophobia is a priority for the United Nations.

Promoting respect among religions
Following a fall-out in relations between many Muslim countries and some Western nations in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States – and subsequent attacks in London, Madrid and Bali – the Organization established the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in 2005.

Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the current UNAOC High Representative, recalled the initiative was launched as a “political soft power tool” whose objectives include promoting mutual respect among diverse cultures and religions.

“Despite progress made in building bridges of understanding through the promotion of intercultural and interfaith dialogue, manifestations of anti-Muslim hatred persisted and morphed into different forms”, he said.

“Islamophobia cannot be seen in isolation from the worrying increase in xenophobia and hate speech against minorities including immigrants and other faith communities.”

Mr. Moratinos said mutual respect, interfaith harmony and peaceful co-existence can be achieved “when there is broad space for everyone to practice the rituals of their religions or beliefs freely and safely.”

Solidarity, equality, respect

For the President of the UN General Assembly, Turkish diplomat Volkan Bozkir, any form of discrimination, including based on religion or belief, “is a deeply personal attack”.

He urged countries to re-commit to the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other related instruments, expressing hope that they will lay the foundation for national laws to end hate speech and hate crimes.

“Today our conversation is focused on Islamophobia, but the source of this scourge is a source that imperils us all.  The answer is solidarity, equality, and respect for the equal dignity and entitlement to fundamental human rights of every individual”, he said.

Mr. Bozkir added that protecting people from extremism requires a global strategy that includes defeating all forms of violent ideologies.

He called for building resilience to discriminatory, exclusionary, and intolerant teachings, and developing respect for the religious and cultural practices of others. ….

What to Do (and Not Do) If You Care About Israel Getting a Fair Shake at a University

In recent years, American universities have reached new depths in their insensate desire to be with it. Their arts and humanities curricula are comical. In history departments, Europe is slowly fading away as a subject, to be replaced by African history, Islamic history, and race, gender, and queer studies. In literature courses, it’s the same dreary blend of race, gender, and queer studies; sometimes it’s Mix-‘n-Match, as in the faculty searches for professors of Black Queer Studies. Diversity and inclusion are essential in choosing which writers to study. Dead white European males had their day; you can pay less attention to them now. A sign of the times: You can major in English at Harvard, and never take a course on Shakespeare. But don’t leave for class these days without Edward Said, or Homi Bhabha, or Judith Butler, or Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak in your backpack or book bag. Good god, there are even places where the clownish Cornel West is taken seriously. That’s how bad things have become.

And, of course, there is the Jewish Problem. Many universities have become safe havens for BDSers. Pro-Israel speakers are seldom invited on campus, while those ready to denounce the Jewish state seldom fail to find an audience. In History or Middle Eastern departments, the anti-Israel brigade makes sure that if there is a token Jew – or even better, a token Israeli — on the faculty, that person will belong to the Peter Beinart or Noam Chomsky school of anti-Zionism. A staunch defender of Israel has little chance of obtaining tenure in such places.

Here is a report on the dilemma faced by Jewish donors who leave a legacy, or who donate while alive, to institutions that turn out to be grotesquely anti-Israel: “Planning for Antisemitism in Planned Giving to Universities,” by Yael Lerman, Algemeiner, March 22, 2021:

A few years ago, a woman contacted the pro-Israel organization where I work, StandWithUs, worried about her late husband’s legacy. He had spent his career as a professor at a University of California (UC) school, and was devoted to both his university and the Jewish community. Upon his death, he left a considerable and irrevocable gift to this UC school. Yet today, the school no longer serves as a consistently welcoming place for Jewish or Zionist students and faculty.

Campus buildings there have been defaced with antisemitic vandalism; anti-Israel classes and events now permeate campus life, including in the professor’s former academic department. His wife said that he would be horrified if he knew what had become of his school, and what he was now financially supporting in perpetuity.

After reviewing the matter, we concluded that there was nothing that could be done legally. This pro-Israel, proudly Jewish, and generous donor had given an unconditional gift to a university where support of Zionist students has become conditional on their denunciation of Israel.

If you care about Israel getting a fair shake at a university, whether you are Jewish or non-Jewish, do not ever give a donation, or leave a legacy, unless it is clearly conditioned on behavior by that university that is spelled out in the deed of gift. The judges of that behavior will be the donor (as long as he or she is alive) or the donor’s family (if it’s a legacy). What kind of behavior would cause the principal of the gift to be revoked? An “anti-semitic or anti-Zionist atmosphere” on campus can be characterized by one or more of the following:

1) a refusal to invite pro-Israel speakers to the campus.

2) the shouting down of pro-Israel speakers when they are allowed to visit the campus.

3) permitting BDS, an organization that the U.S. government (and many others, including Germany, Austria, Spain, Canada), as well as the ADL, have declared to be antisemitic, to operate on campus.

4) a student government inviting pro-Palestinian speakers and “activists” but not pro-Israel speakers, or inviting just a handful of the latter compared to many pro-Palestinian “activists.”

5) a refusal to take antisemitic statements into account in making tenure decisions, as with Marc Lamont Hill and Cornel West.

6) creating an atmosphere in which Jewish faculty and students feel unsafe.

7) anti-Zionist curricula.

8) a series of campus events celebrating “Palestine” and attacking the Jewish state.

…Around the same time, Temple University was courting a different donor to give a seven-figure gift. The donor loved the institution, but was appalled by a particular tenured professor, Marc Lamont Hill, who frequently uses his position to espouse virulent, anti-Zionist rhetoric that meets the IHRA’s working definition of antisemitism.

The university refused to address Lamont Hill’s conduct, but was open to other ideas. It agreed to a major gift given entirely through Israel Bonds, and to be renewed only through Israel Bonds in perpetuity. This was a compromise approach: the donor wanted to make a gift, but knew the university would not budge on addressing the professor’s antisemitic rants. So she compromised by funding a gift in a way that financially benefited the State of Israel.

This was not really a compromise. Marc Lamont Hill still spews his anti-Israel venom and antisemitic rants, without the university moving a finger to discipline him or, ideally, to fire him, as would surely happen were he a white professor who repeatedly engaged in public anti-black rants. Continuing to pay the “major gift” through Israel Bonds because it “financially benefits” Israel – quite modestly – has done nothing to curb Marc Lamont Hill or to discourage the university from hiring, or retaining, or giving tenure to, known and publicly assertive antisemites.

Given what terrible places most American universities have become, especially in the arts and humanities, and in the woke atmospherics of college campuses, why donate to any of them? If you must do so, then specify that the money is to go for a science building, or science faculty, the least likely part of the university to be politically unsavory. Or donate to the university with a specific purpose spelled out, to expand the number of faculty members teaching Jewish or Israeli studies or Yiddish literature. Make clear that the gift is to encourage not only knowledge of, but sympathetic understanding for, the subject being studied. You want to prevent the maddening possibility that someone appointed to one of those chairs you have paid for is a far-left Jewish supporter of the Palestinians. The donor should always make such a gift revocable, if, in his estimation, or after his death, in that of his family, the university has violated its commitment.

Better still, don’t give to an American university. Instead, donate to the Technion, or the Weizmann Institute, or Tel Aviv University, or Hebrew University. Then there will be little need for a donor to worry about his or her intent being violated; the gift will be in good hands.

Biden’s handlers appear to be ‘using loopholes when dealing with Iranian regime’ in $1,000,000,000 ransom payment from South Korea

“Lawmakers Investigate State Department Over $1 Billion Ransom Payment to Iran,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, March 25, 2021:

Republican foreign policy leaders in Congress are pressing Secretary of State Antony Blinken to fully disclose the contents of secret talks with South Korea that are believed to have paved the way for that country to hand Iran $1 billion as part of a ransom payment.

Reps. Bryan Steil (R., Wis.), Jim Banks (R., Ind.), and Greg Steube (R., Fla.) say the State Department is withholding from Congress key details about the Biden administration’s reported efforts to help South Korea skirt economic sanctions and pay Iran the billion-dollar ransom, which came after Tehran seized a South Korean tanker and its crew in January. Blinken dodged several questions on the matter when testifying earlier this month before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, prompting the lawmakers to launch a formal probe seeking answers.

In a letter sent Thursday to Blinken and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, the lawmakers demand the State Department answer questions about whether it waived sanctions to enable the payment and took part in negotiations aimed at securing the cash for Iran. The lawmakers suspect the administration helped free the money—frozen abroad as a result of U.S. sanctions—as part of its efforts to coax Iran into negotiating a revamped nuclear deal.

The probe signals mounting GOP frustration with the Biden State Department as it makes a series of concessions to Iran aimed at enticing it back to the bargaining table. The administration has already waived United Nations sanctions on Iran and removed a key terror designation on the Tehran-armed Houthi militia groups in Yemen, which continue to attack U.S. allies in the region.

As U.S.-Iran envoy Robert Malley seeks direct talks with Iran, Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees have been mostly left in the dark. Malley and other senior officials have not briefed them on their diplomatic efforts and have repeatedly dodged questions about the ransom payment, as well as other reported concessions, such as easing travel restrictions on Iranian officials. Republicans and many of their Democratic colleagues remain concerned the Biden administration will move forward with sanctions relief, despite public promises that this would not occur before Iran demonstrates a willingness to roll back its nuclear program.

Steil petitioned the Treasury Department in early March to come clean about its suspected role in facilitating South Korea’s ransom payment. Iran is using the tanker as leverage to pressure South Korea into freeing some $7 billion in oil revenues that are tied up in the country. South Korean officials said they consulted with the United States before releasing the money, which likely could not have been moved without the administration’s consent.

The Treasury Department, in response to Steil’s initial letter, would not provide the lawmaker with the information he requested, directing him instead to contact the State Department, according to a copy of that response letter viewed by the Free Beacon.

“The Biden administration appears to be using loopholes when dealing with the Iranian regime,” Steil told the Free Beacon. “I am again asking direct, yes or no questions on the United States’ involvement in facilitating a South Korean ransom payment to Iran. If the Biden administration is involved in transferring funds to Iran, Congress and the American people must be informed.”

Now, Steil, Banks, and Steube are pressing Blinken for concrete answers about whether the United States permitted Iran to access the billion dollars through a financial mechanism known as the Swiss Humanitarian Trade Arrangement. The SHTA was created to enable certain humanitarian-related transactions with Iran that would otherwise be considered sanctionable.

Banks, an Armed Services Committee member and chairman of the Republican Study Committee, Congress’s largest conservative caucus, told the Free Beacon he and his colleagues will not stop leading investigations into the matter until the administration “comes clean.”

“The Biden administration has to come clean: Did you or did you not facilitate sanctions relief for the thugs in Tehran? Because it sure looks like you did,” Banks said. “Let me be very clear: The RSC will be getting to the bottom of this.”…

Not content with glorifying pedophilia in Cuties, Netflix in season three of the animated Paradise P.D. features an episode that, according to NewsBusters, is not only devoted to “attacking gun rights,” but was also “blasphemous against Christianity, featuring a video of a gun-wielding Jesus that turns into a porno.” Great, Netflix! Edgy! Courageous! Cutting edge! Stunning and brave! Now, when is your cartoon show featuring, say, a machete-wielding Muhammad who takes up with a nine-year-old Aisha? If we had any actual journalists, they would be asking Netflix officials that question, and there is no doubt about what the answer would be: Netflix has far too much respect for Muslims and Islam to produce a show like that.

Ah yes, respect. As Bob Dylan’s character Jack Fate puts it in Dylan’s underappreciated movie Masked and Anonymous, “I got a lot of respect for a gun.” As everyone knows, the real reason why Netflix doesn’t hesitate to make fun of Jesus and Christians but wouldn’t dream of subjecting Muhammad and Muslims to the same treatment is because they know that Christians won’t kill them for doing so, not even those crazed “right-wing extremists” that we keep hearing about who are supposedly the greatest terror threat we face today. But with Muslims, it’s a different story: Netflix, if it ever dared to produce an animated show about Muhammad, knows that it’s entirely within the realm of possibility that a jihadi could emerge who would be intent upon separating the heads of Netflix executives from their bodies. That’s how “respect” is born these days.

But Netflix didn’t care to demonstrate any respect for Christians the fiendishly obscene episode of Paradise P.D. entitled “Trigger Warning.” In it, according to NewsBusters, a foe of disarming the populace offers to take proponents of that disarming on a tour of the National Rifle Association. “The tour includes a gun pit with a dead kid buried in it and the corpse of Charlton Heston used as a statue, complete with a quote – ‘Pry this gun from my cold, dead hands and win a Republican Senate seat.’ The head of the NRA, Mr. Chip F**k-Yeah, shows them a video using Jesus as a prop to show how “guns make a better world.” The video is horrifically offensive, with Jesus coming down from the Cross to kill his persecutors with machine guns then have sex with two women.”

Believe it or not, it just gets worse from there. But aside from this article and a few others, no one will take any particular note. The establishment media certainly won’t: today’s “journalists” generally hate Christianity as much as Netflix does. But a particularly piquant comparison comes from France. Shortly after a Muslim beheaded schoolteacher Samuel Paty on October 16, 2020, for showing a cartoon of Muhammad in his class, it came to light that French police called in Paty and interrogated him over allegations of “Islamophobia.” Paty told them, and he was right, that “I did not commit any offense.”

In today’s world, however, he did. It is a massive de facto offense against contemporary woke sensibilities to offend Islam and violate Sharia blasphemy laws. That is true in the United States no less than it is in France. When Pamela Geller and I held our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in 2015 in defense of the freedom of speech, and Islamic State jihadis attempted to kill us all, Geller was roundly condemned not just by leftists by even by prominent people who are often considered conservatives (including Bill O’Reilly, Laura Ingraham and Greta van Susteren) for daring to commit what they considered to be a gratuitous offense to Muslims. The idea that it is important to defend the freedom of speech against violent intimidation, and not validate that intimidation by giving in to it, did not impress them at all.

The freedom of speech is the foundation of any free society, and so Netflix is entirely free to depict Jesus in a lewd and ridiculous manner and to mock gun owners as paranoid lunatics. The double standard, however, grows ever more glaring. If Netflix had been operating in France and made fun of Muhammad, police would have called in its executives for questioning. In the United States, if it had made fun of Muhammad, they might not have had to talk to the cops, but they would have been inundated with charges of “racism” and “Islamophobia.”

What is all this going to look like five or ten or twenty years down the road, as Americans, and Westerners in general, grow ever more accustomed to the idea that one must adhere to Sharia blasphemy restrictions on mockery, or even criticism, of Islam, but the West’s own culture and traditions, rife as they are with “white supremacism” and “hate,” are fair game. It seems to be a recipe for cultural and societal surrender.

GOP Legislators: Biden Broke Law in Stopping Wall Construction

More than 100 Republican congressmen and senators have asked the Government Accountability Office to render an opinion on President Biden’s order to halt border wall construction.

Forty senators wrote to Gene Dodaro last week, and more than 60 congressmen joined that effort on Tuesday.

Biden’s proclamation on January 20 usurped Congress’ authority to control spending, they claim, and that he cannot simply refuse to spend funds for a project that Congress approved. Congress OK’d border wall funding in December.

They base their case on GAO’s ruling that President Trump broke the law when he tried to cut military funding for Ukraine.

Biden’s Order

Biden invited the GOP action when he declared that he would stop building a wall on the southern border with Mexico. Trump promised to build a wall to stop the illegal-alien invasion that has gone on for years and peaked in 2019. Biden’s border wall proclamation can be found here.

Biden’s goal: Import as many illegals as possible, turn them into citizens so they vote for Democrats, then achieve permanent one-party rule.

Declaring an end to the national emergency at the border that Trump rightly saw, Biden simply stopped construction. He also ordered the redirection of $1.4 billion Congress OK’d for the wall in December. “Building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution,” Biden proclaimed. “It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security.” 

Not so fast, the 40 GOP senators wrote on March 17. “We understand from DHS that it has suspended its border wall projects, that the continued obligation of funds for those purposes has been halted, and that both are a direct consequence of the Proclamation,” they wrote:

As these unlawful pauses have proceeded, the rate of illegal crossings has surged, creating a crisis across our southern border, at times with tragic consequences. Meanwhile, billions in lawfully appropriated dollars, which were provided by Congress to address precisely this issue, sit unused by the Biden Administration. 

Biden’s proclamation includes not only Trump’s redirected defense appropriations for the wall, which the U.S. Supreme Court approved, but also “projects funded by direct appropriations, which we understand to refer to appropriations provided directly to DHS specifically for border wall construction.”

The latter is what concerns the 40 GOP senators; that is, whether Biden violated the Impoundment Control Act of 1974. The senators’ letter explained:

The Constitution specifically vests Congress with the power of the purse, providing that “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law.” The President is not vested with the power to ignore or amend a duly enacted law. Instead, he must “faithfully execute” the law as Congress enacts it. 

An appropriations act is a law like any other; therefore, the President must take care to ensure that appropriations are prudently obligated in the manner they were provided by Congress. The Constitution grants the President no unilateral authority to withhold funds from obligation. Instead, Congress has vested the President with strictly circumscribed authority to impound, or withhold, budget authority only in limited circumstances. These circumstances are expressly provided in the ICA.

The president can also delay funding when “an agency is taking necessary steps to implement a program, but because of factors external to the program, funds temporarily go unobligated,” the senators wrote. “This presumes, of course, that the agency is making reasonable efforts to obligate.”

The senators observed that the GAO declared that Trump violated the ICA by not providing appropriated funds to Ukraine.

Because Congress appropriated wall funding, and Trump signed it, Biden “must prudently obligate and execute those funds for the purposes for which they were provided. The President now in office is charged with faithfully executing these laws, notwithstanding any policy or political disagreements with his predecessor who signed them.”

Congressman Sign On

This week, more than five dozen congressmen signed a letter adding their names to the request.

Biden’s rash orders that undid Trump’s progress in securing the border have led to another illegal-alien invasion. During February, border agents apprehended more than 100,000 illegals, about 3,000 per day.

Biden has packed illegals and their “children” into cages at the border, and has spent more than $100 million to bring them into the country and stop the border wall.
