New York is so overwhelmed by the number of coronavirus victims that it will have to start burying bodies in mass graves at parks, according to the city’s council health committee chairman.New York City council health committee chairman Mark D. Levine said today on Twitter that the system is experiencing “the equivalent of an ongoing 9/11” and that managing the sheer number of dead bodies is becoming a struggle.
NYC’s “city morgue” is the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), which luckily is the best in the world. But they are now dealing w/ the equivalent of an ongoing 9/11. And so are hospital morgues, funeral homes & cemeteries.
