A NATION WHERE HALF OF THE CHILDREN BECOME AUTISTIC?

On June 5, 2014, senior research scientist Stephanie Seneff, PhD of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory made the following statement at an event sponsored by the Groton Wellness organization in Groton, Massachusetts:





At today’s rate, by 2025, one in two children will be autistic.1





Dr. Seneff repeated the prediction at a conference on Dec. 18, 2014.2 In December 2014, Dr. Seneff was interviewed about the prediction by journalist Thom Hartmann on the Thom Hartmann radio program.3 She was interviewed again about the prediction by Hartmann in January 2015 for RTtelevision.4 In that interview, Dr. Seneff noted that she had been misquoted and that what she actually said was that “half of all children born in 2025” will be autistic. She said:





The CDC data are on 12-year-olds. People don’t realize that—kids who are 12 years old today. So when you look at 2014, you’re looking at 2001 in utero. So we want to look at the situation in 2001. Since then, things have gotten a lot worse in all the vectors—the toxic chemicals that I have identified are connected to autism. And, of course, the one I’ve really singled in on is glyphosate. I think it’s the single most prominent chemical that’s responsible for the epidemic. That is the active ingredient in the pervasive herbicide Roundup.4





Dr. Seneff explained how she arrived at her prediction:





If you take the data that the CDC has provided since 1975 and plot it, you can see that it’s an exponential growth curve. You can extend the line. When you extend the line, it intersects 2025 at one in four, and 2032 at one in two. Now, my feeling is that things are worse than the line. So I think that one in two in 2025 is not an unreasonable prediction.4





At the time of Dr. Seneff’s interviews with Hartmann, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated the rate of autism in the U.S. at one in 68 children. That estimate was based on data involving eight-year-old children four years earlier in 2010.5 6



The current CDC estimate of eight-year-old American children with autism is one in 59, which is based on 2014 data.7 So there’s always a four-year lag time in the CDC’s determination of autism rates and it is based on eight-years-olds, not children in utero or at birth—which is what Dr. Seneff’s prediction is based on. Using the CDC’s system for calculating autism rates, an estimate of one in two children diagnosed with autism would be not be reached in 2025 but rather by 2033. Given the four-year lag, that estimate would not be reported by the CDC until 2037.



Whether it is 2025, 2033 or 2037 or whether it is children in utero, at birth or eight years of age, the idea that a country in which one in 59 children are now diagnosed with autism—and there is even a possibility that in the future  one in two children would become autistic—represents a public health crisis of historic proportions. The impact on America’s social structure, economy and national security is immeasurable, particularly when you combine that trend with an aging population that will, not only be unable to help care for these children, but will be competing with them for available care.



And yet, there appears to be a relatively little sense of urgency about the autism epidemic from doctors, government and the media. Unlike the alarm created by about 1,000 cases of measles reported this year, the autism epidemic has been the perpetual elephant in the room for two decades. Few people want to speak about or entertain the possibility that it is being caused, at least in part, by environmental factors such chemicals like glyphosate and even vaccines and their “synergistic effects,” which Dr. Seneff mentioned in her radio interview with Hartmann. “There are many chemicals in vaccines that are synergistically toxic with glyphosate. We’re getting more vaccines on the agenda,” Seneff said.3



The fall back theories are that autism is genetic or that there really is no epidemic at all, that the rising rates are simply due to greater public awareness and reporting of autistic-like symptoms, as well as a more liberal classification of the disorder. That is a theory that has been espoused by pediatrician Paul Offit, MD:





I don’t think there’s an epidemic of autism. I think that if we went into a time machine, and went back 30 or 40 years, and use the same diagnostic criteria that we currently use to diagnose autism, and introduce it into the communities so that everybody is aware as they are now, and also make it very clear in that community now 30 years in the past that you will qualify for services if you have this diagnosis, I think you would find that the incidence of autism would be the same 30 years ago as it is now.8 9





In the 1980s, the autism rate in the U.S. was reported at one in 10,000 children.10 According to Dr. Offit, that rate was wildly inaccurate and so there is no need for alarm. Everything is as it has always been. Will this same “Emperor’s New Clothes” mentality be as readily accepted when the estimate for autism reaches one in two children?

You may have noticed a recent article in The Washington Post by Juliette N. Kayyem entitled “Anti-vaxxers are dangerous. Make them face isolation, fines, arrests.”1



My initial reaction was the article must have been written by a moron. However, my opinion changed when I discovered the author, Ms. Kayyem, who graduated from Harvard law school in 1995. So, it appears this article is a carefully crafted piece of pro-vaccine industry propaganda. In other words, a large pile of nonsense and misinformation masquerading as authoritative information. Propaganda pieces typically contain nonsense and blatant lies. That’s OK because the “Big Lie” becomes believable if repeated often enough. (Who Said That?)9 Let’s take a look at the main point and the most glaring falsehood in the article: “Anti-Vaxxers Are Dangerous.”



What is an Anti-Vaxxer?



The catch word, “anti-vaxxer” has become popular in the vaccine industry propaganda machine as a pejorative term for children who have been vaccine injured, and whose mothers no longer vaccinate them. This is aptly described by Barbara Loe Fisher in her article: “No Mercy for Mothers Or Their Vaccine Injured Children“2



The Big Lie: Unvaccinated are Dangerous



The easiest way to demonstrate the Big Lie: “Unvaccinated are Dangerous”, is to ask the CDC, the U.S. Government Center for Disease Control.



It is universally agreed those most susceptible to the ravages of infectious disease are the immuno-compromised, such as those undergoing bone marrow transplantation. If the “Unvaccinated Are A Danger,” then one would expect the CDC to advise keeping the unvaccinated away from the immunocompromised, those having bone marrow transplants. Quite to the contrary, the CDC says the exact opposite. The recently vaccinated, not the unvaccinated, must be kept away from the transplant ward.3



The CDC document Guidelines for Preventing Opportunistic Infections Among Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Recipients contains this quote…3





Visitors who might have communicable infectious diseases (e.g., URIs, flu-like illnesses, recent exposure to communicable diseases, an active shingles rash whether covered or not, a VZV-like rash (note: VZV is Varcella, chickenpox) within 6 weeks of receiving a live-attenuated VZV vaccine, or a history of receiving an oral polio vaccine within the previous 3–6 weeks) should not be allowed in the HSCT center (note HSCT is hematopoetic stem cell transplant center) or allowed to have direct contact with HSCT recipients or candidates undergoing conditioning therapy (AII).3





Not sure you want to believe the CDC? Instead, lets ask the University of Kentucky Transplant Service.4 Are the unvaccinated a danger? and should they be kept away from the transplant ward? Again, they say the exact opposite, adults and children who are recently vaccinated with the chickenpox or polio vaccine are a danger and should be kept away from immunocompromised transplant patients.



Still Don’t Believe it? Maybe the University of Kentucky is an exception? All transplant wards across the nation follow the American Society for Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation Guidelines.5 What do they say? Are the unvaccinated a danger to be kept from visiting the transplant ward? No, again they say quite the opposite. Those who have been recently vaccinated are a danger. Nowhere in this document do they say the unvaccinated are a danger. Quite to the contrary they say those recently vaccinated with the following vaccinations are a danger to the transplant ward: MMR (measles mumps rubella) Polio vaccine (OPV), Varicella Vaccine, Rotavirus vaccine, Influenza Vaccine (LAIV).5



The Varivax Package Insert Says Vaccinated are a Danger to Others



This information is readily available. All you need to do is read the package insert for the vaccine. Merck, the manufacturer of the Varivax (chickenpox) vaccine openly admits in their product insert that people recently vacccinated with the Varivax vaccine pose a danger to the immune-compromised, pregnant mothers and infants.7 The danger is due to transmission of live vaccine virus from those recently vaccinated to those contacts around them. This is a quote from the Varivax product insert:





Due to the concern for transmission of vaccine virus, vaccine recipients should attempt to avoid whenever possible close association with susceptible high-risk individuals for up to six weeks following vaccination with VARIVAX. Susceptible high-risk individuals include: Immuno-compromised, pregnant mothers, and infants-(shortened for brevity).7





Healthy Unvaccinated People are Not Dangerous



The reality is that healthy unvaccinated individuals are NOT DANGEROUS, and are allowed visitation rights on the transplant wards across the country. It is the recently vaccinated who are “dangerous” and are restricted from visiting the transplant ward. Perhaps someone reading this could inform Juliette Kayyem and The Washington Post of this information so their blatantly incorrect article can be retracted, or at least modified to correct the false information contained.



The Unvaccinated are Causing the Measles Outbreaks



Another BIG Lie in this Washington Post article by Kayyem is the blame for the recent measles outbreak falls squarely on the unvaccinated. For this reason, the unvaccinated should be branded as criminals to be arrested, found guilty and sent to prison. For the moment let us ignore the obvious contrary argument that persecuting the unvaccinated like this is a violation of just about every form of national and international human rights and civil liberties laws you can think of.



Measles Outbreaks are Caused by the Vaccine Program Itself



Lets take a look at what Dr. Levy in 1984 J Epidemiology has to say about this in his article: “The future of measles in highly immunized populations”.6 Dr. Levy is not alone in stating the obvious. Because of limitations and failures in the measles vaccine program ( i.e. primary and secondary vaccine failure),  we are creating a larger population of susceptible individuals, than before the vaccine era.6 Dr. Levy is saying the measles vaccine program itself is creating a larger population of people susceptible to contracting measles, and this is the reason we are seeing periodic measles outbreaks which are predicted to increase.



Dr. Levy says:





despite short-term success in eliminating the disease (measles), long-range projections demonstrate that the proportion of susceptibles in the year 2050 may be greater than in the prevaccine era. Present vaccine technology and public health policy must be altered to deal with this eventuality.6





What Dr. Levy is saying is that the unvaccinated are NOT to blame for periodic recurrent measles outbreaks.  We will be seeing more and more of these outbreaks as a result of primary and secondary vaccine failure.



Dr. Gregory Poland, world expert on measles vaccine, said in Vaccine 2012 that measles outbreaks in highly vaccinated populations occur because of primary and secondary vaccine failure.8 Here is a quote:





Thus, measles outbreaks also occur even among highly vaccinated populations because of primary and secondary vaccine failure, which results in gradually larger pools of susceptible persons and outbreaks once measles is introduced.. This leads to a paradoxical situation whereby measles in highly immunized societies occurs primarily among those previously immunized (Quote Gregory Poland)8





Similar measles outbreaks have been documented in other highly vaccinated populations in countries such as Israel, Nigeria , Korea, Czech Republic, Australia  and Japan involving the vaccinated as well as unvaccinated.8 This is discussed in more detail in my previous article.



Conclusion: Pro Vaccine Industry Propaganda has reached a new extreme which threatens to label the unvaccinated as criminals to be arrested and sent to prison. In case you haven’t noticed, its official, you are now living in a police state.

Pope Francis has issued a call for reform within “the way theology is taught in Catholic schools, saying students must learn about dialogue with Judaism and Islam” and establish “the relationship between Catholics and Muslims as brothers, with a common mission to promote peace.”



Christianity already consists of the Old Testament (Judaism) and the New Testament. In the Christian tradition, the Messiah is already deemed to be Jewish “of the House of David”, so increasing dialogue with Judaism is promoting a deeper understanding of the roots of Christianity. Beyond this, increasing dialogue with any faith group is a good thing, once it is based on mutual values and truth.



Islam is very different. It teaches that “the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who have disbelieved” (Quran 8:55) and because of such doctrine,  complete loyalty to Islam and disavowal of disbelievers is foundational.  The oneness of God (Tawhid) and the supremacy of the sharia are also foundational. In Islam real Muslims must fully and completely reject disbelievers and un-Islamic practices Further, the world is divided in two in Islamic doctrine: The House of War and the House of Islam where it is the duty of Muslim believers to subjugate the House of War and wage jihad against it until it becomes the House of Islam. If such beliefs were not abundantly manifested today, there would be no problem, but a day does not go by without news of Islamic supremacist abuse and persecution, in accordance with written doctrine to subjugate and advance Islam.



The Pope is pushing for Catholic students to be taught the lie that normative Islam is a religion of peace and so, it follows that anyone who disagrees with this lie would be deemed “intolerant”, opposed to dialogue and  pluralism. It is Islam that is intolerant, supremacist and resistant to diversity. If the Pope is genuine about dialogue, then he should be mutually calling for Islamic States and Islamic schools (beginning with Al Azhar University in Cairo) to establish and preach equal status to all disbelievers, for women, gays etc.,  and promote dialogues with unbelievers like Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists etc.



In his promotion of Islam, the Pope has become “the Grand Sheikh Francis of Al Vatican“, and is dismissing the sufferings of persecuted Christians, victims of jihad terror and assaults. The Pope’s call for reform within “the way theology is taught in Catholic schools” is a continuation of his dogged efforts which are subjugating Christianity under Islam. His call for reform came “during a speech at the Jesuit-run theology university in Naples. It follows his outreach this year to the Muslim world with the signing of a joint statement with the imam of Cairo’s Al Azhar, the seat of Sunni learning, establishing the relationship between Catholics and Muslims as brothers, with a common mission to promote peace”,  ie. so-called ‘peace’.  Ahead of the Pope’s trip to Morocco in March, the Vatican media went so far as to abandon the traditional papal insignia. Vatican News explained that a new specially created symbol — a cross and a crescent — “are symbols of Christianity and Islam which highlight the interreligious relation between Christians and Muslims.” Also in preparation of this trip Pope Francis met in the Vatican with Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the secretary general of the Muslim World League (MWL), a group that has been linked to the financing of jihad terror.



As stated by Robert Spencer :



During the meeting, al-Issa thanked the Pope for his “fair positions” on what he called the “false claims that link extremism and violence to Islam.” In other words, he thanked the Pope for dissembling about the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which his group has been accused of financing, and for defaming other religions in an effort to whitewash Islam.



The Grand Imam of Cairo’s al-Azhar, Ahmed al-Tayeb, has extended his gratitude and thanked the Pope for his “defense of Islam against the accusation of violence and terrorism.” Christianity is still waiting for the Pope to defend it against widespread Islamic persecution.



In direct contradiction to Pope Francis, Cardinal Robert Sarah — prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments–has called it “his duty” to warn fellow Christians and Europe that Islam is not benign but expansionary and threatens free societies. He stated: “As during the fall of Rome, elites are only concerned to increase the luxury of their daily life and the peoples are being anesthetized by ever more vulgar entertainment… The barbarians are already inside the city.” He was referencing to Muslim migrants who have now immigrated but not integrated into Western societies.



Meanwhile, Pope Francis has heavily promoted Muslim migration, calling it unchristian to be against open-door immigration. But in Cardinal Sarah’s warning: “it is a false exegesis [interpretation of scriptural text] to use the Word of God to promote migration. God never wanted these rifts.”



The Pope of Islam holds the highest office in the Catholic Church, but yet is serving as a deceived servant, a blind guide; and despite his pontificating about welcoming “the stranger” while condemning border walls, he has not yet torn down his own walls of protection at the Vatican to fully embrace and welcome in those same migrants and adherents of the ideology that he is advancing within the Church.




“Pope seeks more freedom in theology, dialogue with Islam”, ABC News, June 21, 2019:





Pope Francis called Friday for a reform of the way theology is taught in Catholic schools, saying students must learn about dialogue with Judaism and Islam, and that overall there must be greater freedom in theological research and academic pursuits.



The Jesuit pope made the call during a speech at the Jesuit-run theology university in Naples. It follows his outreach this year to the Muslim world with the signing of a joint statement with the imam of Cairo’s Al Azhar, the seat of Sunni learning, establishing the relationship between Catholics and Muslims as brothers, with a common mission to promote peace.



In his speech, Francis said dialogue and partnership with the Muslim world is necessary “to build a peaceful existence, even when there are the troublesome episodes by fanatic enemies of dialogue.”



Catholic theology students must learn the culture, language and way of thinking of Jews and Muslims “to better understand and live out our relationship,” he said.



After the theologically doctrinaire papacies of St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, Francis has stressed instead the need to “walk together” with interfaith partners, often joking that theologians should ruminate on a deserted island while religious leaders press ahead with dialogue on the ground. He has also called for a more pastoral, merciful and conscience-driven approach to sticky theological problems, such as Communion for the civilly remarried.



“Theological freedom is necessary,” Francis said Friday. “Without the possibility of trying new paths, you don’t create anything new.”….

Pope Francis Courts Islam to Oppose Christ’s Gospel

As huge numbers of Islamic migrants continue to stream into Europe from the Middle East, there is great concern among Western people.  Nonetheless, even with this astonishing background, Pope Francis continues to promote Islam.  Instead of warning people against the dangers they face from the onslaught of migrating Muslims from across the world, Francis has left unaddressed Islamic persecution of Middle Eastern and African Christians, and indeed Europeans.  In fact, Pope Francis’ outreach to Islam is simply an intensified application of the Roman Catholic Church’s Vatican Council II teaching.



The Roman Church has been consistently encouraging a massive influx of Muslims into Europe, even into the USA.  Such immigration is a basic cause for the attacks that have already taken place.  For example, there was the massacre in Paris on Friday, November 13, 2015, during which at least 128 people were killed,[1] and for which the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) has claimed responsibility.[2]  Incidents of Islamic terror, such as the Paris attack or the San Bernardino attack in the USA, are driven by a vile, totalitarian ideology.  Islam has its own dynamic, and it is not based on any logical or rational grievances.  Its totalitarian, ideological roots are grounded in the Qur’ân.  It cannot be doubted that the Pope and his advisors know this.



The current exportation of Islamists to Europe was in planning at least since 2011, as the “Clarion Project,” challenging Islamic extremism stated,



“ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi stated, ‘loud and clear that if ISIS cannot defeat the West by military means, they will overrun it with jihadists….The present predicament indicates, without any shadow of doubt, that al-Baghdadi is on the ascent.  The Islamic State may have occupied vast tracts of land in Iraq and Syria over the past fifteen months or so, but that victory diminishes into insignificance in comparison to what he is up to now…He [al-Baghdadi] has stretched his hand to grab the crown jewel of humanity:  European civilisation.  Along with the hundreds of thousands of migrants from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and other parts of the Islamic State caliphate that have landed on European shores are large number of Islamic State jihadis mingled among them — with more millions on the march, trekking across the continents of Africa and Asia, heading towards Europe. …[there is evidence that] al-Baghdadi had the financial backing of rich Arab States, in particular, Saudi Arabia and Qatar…And while Europe’s leaders talk and talk, their countries are gradually being inundated with migrants and jihadists – exactly as planned by the modern day caliph.’”[3]



Autumn 2015 Events In Germany, which has 3.0 to 3.5 million Muslims, a Roman Cardinal spoke of Islam’s Qur’ân as a part of the historic heritage of Europe and the Near East.



“The Cardinal was Cardinal and Bishop of Mainz who emphasized before 250 listeners at the event center of the university that the Interreligious dialogue has a long history and started at Vatican II.  Then Cardinal Lehmann stated that Quran-Research shows ways to read the Quran as a text of late antiquity.  As a result the Quran does all at once not appear strange, but shows the nearness to Christendom and Judaism.  The Quran is part of the historic heritage of Europe and the Near East,” says the Cardinal.”[4]



Such is the dreadful compromise carried out in Germany.  Never mind the truth that the Qur’ân is not part of “the historic heritage of Europe,” as the Cardinal himself knows.  Rather, the Roman Catholic agenda is again to strengthen its influence across the world!



Another tactic, the support for both legal and illegal immigration, has for many years been the policy of the Papacy.  Thus, on September 16, 2015, Pope Frances addressed legal and illegal immigrants in Spanish at Philadelphia’s Independence Hall saying,



“The Quakers who founded Philadelphia were inspired by a profound evangelical sense of the dignity of each individual and the ideal of a community united by brotherly love.”  This conviction led them to found a colony which would be a haven of religious freedom and tolerance.  That sense of fraternal concern for the dignity of all, especially the weak and the vulnerable, became an essential part of the American spirit.”[5]



Consequently, with this Papal mindset, it is becoming apparent that the Pope and Roman Catholicism are promoting the immigration, both legal and illegal, of Islamic people as refugees into Western nations.  Thus, it is reported on a Roman Catholic website,



“Syrians have left their homes, and four million have fled their country as a result of the civil war and the rise of ISIS within the borders…While the majority of these refugees have fled to neighboring countries, some have sought asylum in Europe.  Pope Francis and the Catholic bishops have called on the U.S. and international governments to support the asylum seekers.”[6]



Another Roman Catholic website reports,



“Pope Francis and the Catholic bishops have called on the U.S. government and the international community to provide support to both Syrian refugees fleeing violence and to countries that have been at the forefront of this humanitarian effort.”[7]



However, five of the wealthiest Muslim countries have taken in no Syrian refugees, arguing that doing so would open them up to the risk of terrorism. Although the oil rich countries have handed over aid money, Britain has donated more than Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar combined.[8]  Rather, there is evidence that the ISIS leader al-Baghdadi might have been partially funded by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, along with three other of the wealthiest Arab nations.  Undoubtedly, the Roman Catholic Church is rejecting analytical reasoning so that it can support both sides in the conflict, so that when there is a resolution to conflict, the Roman Church will be on the winning side.



The Roman Church Promotes Islam in Its Schools



The Catholic bishops of England and Wales desire that Muslim prayer rooms be opened in every Roman Catholic school.  These bishops also want facilities for Islamic pre-prayer washing rituals in all Roman Catholic schools.  Muslims say that Catholic schools would need to install bidets, foot spas, and hoses to facilitate such extensive cleansing rituals.  The recommendations have been approved by Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Birmingham, and the favorite to succeed Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor as Catholic primate.



Catholic School Offers “Sacred Place” For Muslim Prayer[9]



One is aghast that any Catholic religious school should offer Islamic students “sacred spaces” of any kind.  However, such facilities are allowed in Roman Catholic schools, not only in England and Wales but also in the USA.  For example, John Birney, president of “Brot

her Rice High School” in Bloomfield, Michigan has decided to permit a “non-Christian prayer room within the school to allow Muslims and other non-Christian students.”  Birney urged people to ask if the prayer room is “something that compromises our faith and identity, or is it in fact consistent with the respect that we have.”[10]



All of this assistance of Islam by immigration and Roman Catholic schools is happening under Pope Francis’s jurisdiction.  What Francis has made abundantly clear is, first, that he has no concern to protect faithful Catholics from the Muslim onslaught, which, if successful, will end up with Catholics and Westerners having to live under Sharia law.  Second, as a primary Western religious leader, he is encouraging the Muslim religious leaders to persist in their violent onslaught, primarily on the West, and on Christianity in particular, but also around the world in general.  Third, it is clear that he is accommodating Islam for his own purposes of empire building and does so with no compunction to be truthful or Christian in his dealings with them.  For example, Pope Francis has stated,



“The sacred writings of Islam have retained some Christian teachings; Jesus and Mary receive profound veneration and it is admirable to see how Muslims both young and old, men and women, make time for daily prayer and faithfully take part in religious services.  Many of them also have a deep conviction that their life, in its entirety, is from God and for God.  They also acknowledge the need to respond to God with an ethical commitment and with mercy towards those most in need.”[11]



The Pope’s statement is deceitful adulation because it must be reconciled with the Roman Church’s official declaration that “the plan of salvation” includes the Muslims, quotation,



“The [Roman] Church’s relationship with the Muslims.  ‘The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.’”[12]



Francis knows perfectly well that the Islamic Allah is not the God of the Bible.  Thus, it is that Pope Francis, representing the Roman Church, has accepted Islam and its peoples.  The fact that the Roman Church and the Allah of Islam agree on “the plan of salvation” demonstrates to true Bible believers that it is against biblical faith.  The biblical commandment not to venerate any strange god has been broken by the Rome Catholic Church in order to credit Islam and its adherents with holding to the faith of Abraham.



Islam Rejects the Trinity, Christ’s Divinity, and His Substitutionary Sacrifice



Because of what is happening, it is necessary for us to study the official teachings of Islam.  Christians believe in one God, which, in this one Godhead, there exists three Persons.  Islam rejects this Trinitarian concept as blasphemous.  The Qur’ân declares,



“Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah is the third (person) of the three; and there is no god but the one God, and if they desist not from what they say, a painful chastisement shall befall those among them who disbelieve” (Surah 5:73).[13] 



The Bible proclaims Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross in place of the believer, “In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”[14]  Islam passionately rejects the crucifixion of Christ Jesus.  Thus, the Qur’ân declares,



“And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure” (Surah 4:157).



The Bible proclaims Christ Jesus as divine, being the brightness of the divine glory, and the express image of God.  In the Qur’ân, Christ Jesus is debased to being solely an apostle of Allah.  Thus, the Qur’ân states, “O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa son of Marium is only an apostle of Allah…” (Surah 4.171).  Christ Jesus declared, “Before Abraham was, I AM.”[15]  “I and my Father are one.”[16]  “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”[17]  A religion that rejects Christ’s divinity cannot be of the truth.  It is abhorrent that Pope Francis and his Roman Church, in accepting the teachings of the Qur’ân implicitly, denigrate the Lord Jesus Christ.



The Gospel and the Qur’ân’s Religious Philosophy



In the Bible, the Gospel is as the Apostle John declared, “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”[18]  “And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent.”[19]  The whole “purpose” of the God of Scripture is clearly seen in the Gospel of John, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”[20]  This is totally different from the god of Islam who orders fighting, war, and punishment—by amputation, crucifixion, and murder.  The following is just a sample of the primary concept of fighting for Allah that the Qur’ân requires:



“And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers” (Surah 2.191).



“…let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world’s life for the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward” (Surah 4.74).



The commandment of the Lord, however, is as different as darkness and light; for He says to those who are truly His own, “Love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”[21]  While many individual Muslims may deplore atrocities committed in the name of Islam, it cannot be denied that these atrocities are encouraged and justified by Islamic teaching.  Even the most moderate form of Islam is incompatible with biblical truth.



Pope Francis’ first foreign policy address in March 2013 made Muslim-Catholic relations one of his top priorities.  Before an audience of ambassadors from 180 countries, he explained how he wanted to work for peace and bridge building between peoples.  Muslims and Catholics, he claimed, needed to intensify their dialogue.  Positive shockwaves were sent into Muslim-Catholic circles, and Muslim scholars and religious institutions around the world welcomed Pope Francis’ election.[22]  Thus Roman Catholics are in dialogue with the Muslims.  Consequently, it is the blind leading the blind as each tries to move forward its own particular agenda.  Neither agenda is about finding truth in a fallen world but rather both agendas are centered on building an earthly empire in which they will have absolute control.  However, they have not properly considered who the Lord Jesus Christ really is and the fact that the God of the Bible works all things according to the counsel of His own will.[23]



Conclusion



Pope Francis and the Roman Church’s promotion of Islam is an establish fact.  Instead of warning people against the onslaught of Muslims across the world, Francis has left unaddressed Islamic persecution of European, Middle Eastern, and African people.  Such Roman Catholic extremism is momentous.



The testimony of the Bible and history is that man by his own resources and research cannot adequately understand God.  As Scripture states, “Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?  It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?[24]  The depths and riches of His wisdom are past human comprehension.[25]  The Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed the means by which a person is to know who God is and how He acts.  He said, “sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”[26]



The Lord God’s written word, the Bible, not only contains the truth, it is itself truth.  As descendants of Adam, we are sinful creatures, separated from our holy Creator.  By ourselves, we have no way to be right with God.  From the beginning, God’s word made it clear that even one act of disobedience would produce death.  Death means separation.  Mankind is spiritually dead, separated from the Source of life—the Lord God.  “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”[27]  The Lord God is all pure and all holy.  As sinful human beings, we cannot have a relationship with Him, as He cannot tolerate sin.  Thus, a person must die and face God’s righteous judgment.  Of ourselves we are helpless sinners because, “the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”[28]  No amount of prayer, fasting, or good deeds can give us a relationship with the Lord God.  We behold the answer to our spiritual position in Christ Jesus alone.  God’s grace was planned before it was imparted, as the Scripture says, “before the foundation of the world” that we should be “accepted in the beloved.”[29]  The purpose and design of God from all eternity was that all gifts should come to sinful man in and through Christ Jesus.  Grace in its most proper and authentic sense is definitely free, as the Scripture says, “being justified freely by His grace.”[30]  The reign of sin and false religion is overcome by the reign of God’s grace.  As Scripture says, “even so might grace reign!”[31]  The abundance of grace far surpasses the evils of sin.  Once a believing sinner receives Christ Jesus as his only surety before the All-Holy God, he finds himself not only freed from his sins, but also made to “reign in life.”[32]  Those who receive the abundant grace given by Christ are not only redeemed from the dominion of death, they live and reign with Him as they are sanctified daily through His word by the Holy Spirit, and by constant fellowship with Him.  With Him they shall forever live and reign, world without end.  Through Christ Jesus, grace reigns with sovereign freedom, power, and bounty!  “Blessed be his glorious name for ever:  and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.”[33]

AMSTERDAM — “The Passion of the Christ” actor Jim Caviezel, a Roman Catholic, recently delivered a tribute to Mary at the “Eucharistic Holy Hour for World Peace Through the Mother of All Peoples” in Amsterdam, during which he outlined how the popular Mel Gibson film — which was embraced by evangelicals and Catholics alike — “depict[s] our lady’s role as co-redemptrix with Jesus.”


“Her hand has guided my life and my career in incredible, and at times, startling ways,” he told those gathered at the RAI Convention Center on June 1 as an introduction to stories about his roles in the films “The Thin Red Line,” “The Count of Monte Cristo,” and “The Passion of the Christ.”



A ROSARY, THE ‘IMMACULATE CONCEPTION,’ AND ‘SCREEN TIME WITH THE MOTHER OF GOD’



Caviezel said that in 1997, as he as sat outside of Beverly Hills producer Terrence Malick’s house, struggling with self-doubt as he was to meet with Malick about the possibility of starring in “The Thin Red Line,” he began to pray the rosary.







“You see, six months earlier, my manager who is a bit like a Catholic mystic, said that I should start praying the rosary on a daily basis,” he outlined. “My wife, Kerri, taught me how to pray it. So, following orders, I borrowed her grandmother’s rosary … and I started running [the beads] through my fingers and praying.”



As Caviezel was late for his meeting due to his nervousness and subsequent recitations, he hurried to the house, but realized he still had the rosary in his hand. He decided to put it back in his car, but as he was about to do so, he felt compelled to take it with him.



Caviezel then met Malick’s wife, who he assumed was the maid, and ended up gifting her with the rosary. He said that he learned upon doing so that she had lost hers and had prayed that morning for God to send her another.



“That rosary and I believed that the intercession of our lady led to the first major role of my career in ‘Thin Red Line,'” Caviezel stated.



Years later, as he was filming for “The Count of Monte Cristo,” director Kevin Reynolds, a Baptist, showed Caviezel a fresco of the “Immaculate Conception of Mary” painted on the ceiling of one of the rooms on the set. He felt that the Reynolds’ gesture, not being a Catholic, was rather a sign from above as he shot a decisive part of the movie.



“It was a sign for me, a sign that the Lord and His blessed mother were with me, and through all my trials, Mary had been there all along leading me by the hand, guiding me toward her Son and my vocation,” Caviezel said. “And if you saw ‘The Count of Monte Cristo,’ you know that shot stayed in the film, and I proud to say that I shared some screen time with the mother of God.”



MEDJUGORJE, ‘THE PASSION,’ AND OFFERING UP THE SUFFERING ‘IN UNION WITH JESUS AND MARY’



Not long afterward, he received a phone call from Mel Gibson, who wanted him to play Jesus in “The Passion of the Christ.” Prior to receiving the offer, Caviezel’s wife told him about the purported Marian apparitions and messages from Mary in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina.



“This would play a major role in deeping my love and service to the mother of all people. It was at Medjugorje that I consecrated my life and my acting career to the blessed mother,” he told those gathered.



“Using the traditional consecration form of Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort, from that moment on, all that I did in my life and in my career was in her service, to do with me as she pleased. I also believed Medjugorje prepared my heart to give my fiat to play Jesus in ‘The Passion of the Christ,'” Caviezel said.



He said that his participation in the movie brought him closer to Mary, stating, “The more you experience the passion of Jesus, ladies and gentlemen, the more you understand the compassion of Mary. The connection between Mary and her Son. What mother does not suffer when her child suffers?”



Caviezel advised that his role in the film also reminded him of the words of John Paul II, “that we all must become co-redeemers with Jesus and with His mother, Mary.”



“On the very first day of shooting, the crowd rushed in around me. The guards hit me with whips, which hit my flesh. My arm was wedged under the heavy beam when someone yanked the top of the cross in the other direction. My muscles wrenched, and my shoulder separated. I fell to my knees and dropped the cross. I buried my head in the ground,” he recalled. “This take now remains in the film.”



“Every day I picked up that thing, it was like a penance. It ripped into my shoulder, turning my flesh and angry red. With each passing hour, it got heavier.”



He said that being on the cross was also difficult, as he filmed in the cold of November nearly naked, suffering hypothermia and gasping for air. Caviezel was additionally struck by lightning during the production and had to have open heart surgery.



“But I offered up all of the suffering in union with Jesus and Mary for the success of the film that it might lead souls to Christ,” he stated. “And boy, did it ever.”



MARY AS ‘CO-REDEMPTRIX’ IN ‘THE PASSION’ AND A CALL FOR A PAPAL PROCLAMATION



“The Passion reveals the very obvious biblical truth that Mary, like no other, shared in the suffering of her Son as co-redemptrix,” Caviezel claimed. “As St. Teresa of Calcutta exclaimed, ‘Of course Mary is the co-redemptrix. She gave Jesus His body. And the offering of His body is what saved us.”



“The scenes of ‘The Passion’ profoundly depict our lady’s role as co-redemptrix with Jesus,” he told the Amsterdam audience. “In fact, a well-known Italian journalist stated that ‘The Passion of the Christ’ could also have justifiably been ‘The Story of Mary Co-Redemptrix.”



Caviezel proceeded to provide examples from the production.



“[I]t is Mary alone who understands when Jesus has been arrested that ‘It has begun.’ What has begun? The unified mission of Jesus, the Redeemer, and Mary, the co-redemptrix to redeem the world,” he asserted. “When Mary walks the way of the cross with Jesus, she stands opposite satan. She is his opponent. Mary’s role with Jesus to crush the head of Satan is powerfully dramatized.”



“In the Calvary scene, the dying Redeemer gives his own mother to become the spiritual mother of all peoples,” Caviezel continued. “In the final scene, Mary becomes a living pieta holding the dead body of her divine Son, she looks to us all as our loving co-redemptrix, who suffered in union with Jesus and calls us all to appreciate the price of our redemption.”



He told those gathered that he hopes that Pope Francis will declare Mary as the co-redemptrix, mediatrix, and advocate for all mankind.



“I believe Jesus wants the full truth about His mother, Mary, that she is this world’s spiritual mother, she is the co-redemptrix, she is the mediatrix, to be proclaimed by the present pope so that our mother can use her full power of intercession to bring peace — true peace — to the world,” he said.



Caviezel lamented the deteriorating moral condition of the world, citing the evils of abortion, sex trafficking and Islamic terrorism, and said that the people need peace, pointing to Christ and Mary.



“At Fatima, our lady promised that in the end my immaculate heart will triumph and a period of peace will be granted to the world,” he stated. “Let us trust in these words of our lady. She will keep her promise.”



“But we must do our part,” the actor concluded. “As St. Bernard has written, and as I have seen in my own life, ‘You will not go astray if you follow her. You will not get lost if you call to her. If she is holding you by the hand, you will not fall. If she is protecting you, you will have nothing to fear. You will not grow weary if she is at your side. But you must reach out to her.”



The event was presented by the Archdiocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam in the Netherlands.



In a 2003 interview with Catholic priest Mario Knezovic for Radio Medjugorje — prior to the release of “The Passion of the Christ” — Caviezel said, “I ask Mary to guide me and my career. … This film is something that I believe was made by Mary for her Son. Because it was made by her, it will be attacked by the enemy.”



THE SCRIPTURES



1 Timothy 2:5-6 reads, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”



In John 16:23-24, Jesus taught his disciples to pray to the Father in His name, stating, “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in My name: Ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”



He also stated in verse 13 that the Holy Spirit is the one who guides and leads into all truth: “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth, for He shall not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak, and He will show you things to come.”



In John 14:13-16, Jesus likewise said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it. If ye love Me, keep My commandments.



And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him. But ye know Him, for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”



Romans 8 outlines, “It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. … Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.



And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Democratic governor of Rhode Island has signed a bill into law that codifies the “right” to abortion under Roe v. Wade in the state, and allows abortion up to birth to “preserve the health or life” of the mother.


“It’s a difficult issue and there are good and principled people on both sides of the issue,” Gov. Gina Raimondo said during the signing on Wednesday night. “But in light of all the uncertainty in Washington, and frankly, around the country in many other states, there is a great deal of anxiety that a woman’s right to healthcare and her right to preserve access reproductive health care is in danger.”



H. 5125, also known as the “Reproductive Privacy Act,” passed the Senate 21-17 on Wednesday, followed by a vote in the House of 45-29.



“Neither the state, nor any of its agencies, or political subdivisions shall restrict an individual person from preventing, commencing, continuing, or terminating that individual’s pregnancy prior to fetal viability,” the bill reads in part.







It also allows for abortions without time limitation, or up until birth, “when necessary to preserve the health or life of that individual.”



The law language reflects the dictates of Roe, in which Justice Harry Blackmun, nominated to the bench by Republican president Richard Nixon, wrote:



“If the State is interested in protecting fetal life after viability [written in the ruling to be as early as 24 weeks], it may go so far as to proscribe abortion during that period, except when it is necessary to preserve the life or health of the mother.”



Rhode Island’s bill states, “A physician who performs a termination after fetal viability shall be required to record in the patient’s medical records the basis for the physician’s medical judgment that termination was necessary to preserve the live or health of the patient and must comply with all other relevant requirements applicable to physicians.”



However, some have stated that the term “the health of the mother” is a broad catchall, pointing to the companion case of Doe v. Bolton, which explained that “medical judgment may be exercised in the light of all factors — physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman’s age—relevant to the well-being of the patient. All these factors may relate to health.”



A number of OB/GYNs and nurses nationwide have spoken out on such concepts, stating that an abortion is never necessary for the health or life or the mother as an emergency C-section will be performed instead in an effort to save both mother and child.



The bill, sponsored by Rep. Anastasia Williams, D-Providence, also removes Chapter 11-3 of the criminal statute entitled “Abortion” from the books, which prohibited the inducement of a miscarriage with poison or instrument. A section was later added to criminalize an assault in which the person “knows or has reason to know that the person upon whom the assault or battery is made is pregnant.”




A few Democrats opposed the legislation, including Sen. Frank Lombardo, D-Johnston, who urged his colleagues to do what was right because “we are all children of God and I tell you, we will all be accountable to God for the position of influence that he has given to all of us.”



House Deputy Majority Leader Arthur Corvese, D-North Providence, lamented that the bill “allows the qualified termination of actual or potential innocent human life at any point during the nine-month gestation period right up until birth.”



The group Catholics for Life, also known as Servants of Christ for Life, filed an emergency lawsuit to stop the bill from getting to Gov. Riamondo’s desk, but the request was denied. The case, however, is still active as it addresses a broader question about the legislature’s authority to impose the decision on the people.



“The lawsuit is a complex constitutional challenge relying on not just the specific language prohibiting the grant or securing of an abortion right in Rhode Island, but also relies on the fact that in 2005, the citizens of Rhode Island voted to repeal the plenary powers of the legislature,” the organization told the outlet GoLocal.



“And it’s those powers on which they’re relying to pass this bill without taking it to the people for a vote as is required under our Constitution.”



As previously reported, abortion has been condemned in the pulpit throughout America’s history. In his 1869 sermon entitled “Ante-Natal Infanticide,” E. Frank Howe, the pastor of the Congregational Church of Terre Haute, Indiana, said, “[I]t makes no matter that the victim cannot stretch out its hands in defense … It matters not that it … can utter no cry of pain or reproach. The sacred gift of human life is taken — is deliberately taken, and this constitutes the crime, and that crime is murder.”



He lamented that “men and women place their own ease and pleasure above God’s law” and that “public opinion is so corrupted there is no voice of reproach,” forthrightly declaring, “Put what face upon it the community will, disguise it under whatever name you please, you can make no more or less of it than simple murder.”

“Parents objecting to a Rocklin School District Board decision to include a curriculum in the early grades touting the achievements of LGBT people did not allow their children to go to class Friday in protest,” reports Fox 40 Sacramento. They say at least 700 students stayed home out of 12,000. A heated Board meeting on Wednesday resulted in a 3-2 vote to include a curriculum approved by the state law that seeks to introduce more [homosexual] inclusiveness in school teachings. But parents say young children are not ready for discussions that may confuse them and that parents, not the district, know the maturity level of their kids the best. They offered a compromise to introduce the study materials after the fifth grade as some other school districts have done.  But a legal opinion by district counsel said that wasn’t possible. District attendance figures weren’t immediately announced but district officials did expect to lose some state attendance funding and lamented the lost day of instruction for some students. It says that the curriculum will be tweaked to take into account some concerns raised by parents but some parents suspect that the decision was predetermined. Some say they will know of parents signing up their kids for homeschooling and charter schools or private school. New York – -(AmmoLand.com)- New York Governor Andrew Cuomo hates guns, all kinds of guns. He hates them with a passion. His vehement disdain for these inanimate objects rests on the ground that, as he perceives it, they serve no legitimate or useful purpose. Guns do kill, of course. That fact isn’t to be denied. But, there is a huge difference between guns in the hands of criminals and lunatics, on the one hand, and guns in the hands of law-abiding, trained individuals, on the other—a world of difference that antigun zealots don’t seem to recognize or appreciate; or, if they do, then it is something they simply refuse to acknowledge.





Criminals and lunatics use guns to threaten life and to destroy innocent life. Law-abiding rational citizens use guns to thwart threats by criminals and lunatics, in order to protect their life and other innocent life.





The mainstream media and antigun zealots invariably conflate the two or otherwise skirt this critical difference. Why do they do this? They do so because drawing attention to a clear and obvious difference between misuse of guns by criminals and lunatics, on the one hand, and the proper, lawful use of guns for self-defense by the law-abiding citizen, on the other hand, doesn’t fit the false and shameless narrative antigun zealots wish to convey: that no concrete difference exists between proper lawful use and improper illegal use of firearms.



Thus, Cuomo and other Radical Leftists refuse even so much as to acknowledge, even if grudgingly, the benefits a firearm affords the average law-abiding citizen. After all, they have a fairy tale to tell the public. And it is that the armed citizen is somehow less safe when confronted by an assailant and that society, too, is more threatened by an armed citizenry.



Removing firearms from the hands of the average, honest, rational, law-abiding American citizen is their raison d'etre. So, Cuomo and the Radical Left elements that comprise antigun groups continue their call for ever more restrictive gun laws; weaving a fable—one consistent with both the tenets of Collectivism and with their own warped political, social, and ethical view of society and of the role and place of the citizen in that society. The Second Amendment is an anathema to them. Thus, they seek no less than the eventual destruction of the Second Amendment.



It is the American citizenry, itself, that antigun zealots, like Cuomo, seek to disarm; it isn't the criminal element and the occasional lunatic they are really intent on disarming. If Cuomo's true aim and that of the Radical Left, pertaining to gun ownership and gun possession, remains hidden, then it is hidden in plain view.



The plain fact of the matter is that Cuomo and other Progressives and Radical Leftists do not truly consider the Bill of Rights to be a salient component of the Constitution. Yet, the Ten Amendments, that comprise our Bill of Rights, must be taken together, as the framers intended, as one, unified whole, and an integral and critical component of the U.S. Constitution.



Cuomo and those who agree with is political and social philosophy play with the Ten Amendments, pretending that these Ten Amendments—fundamental, primordial, bestowed on man by the Divine Creator—are, in their inception, nothing more than man-made constructions, not unlike any Congressional Statute, which they are not. But, this is the tacit assumption and fiction that informs all the policy decisions and aims of Cuomo and of the other Radical Leftists, who hold to, and place their faith in, the tenets of Collectivism.





How often have New York residents heard this third-term Governor, Cuomo, bombastically asserting that he took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, even as his actions invariably belie his words?





Governor Cuomo, and others who express his sentiments, reject the Second Amendment out-of-hand—a critical component of and, in fact, one of the most important components of the Constitution, as a Free Republic would not long exist without it. Yet, Cuomo and others of his political and social persuasion couldn’t care less about the Constitution, even as they exclaim, disingenuously and hypocritically, that they do.



Andrew Cuomo is Absolutely Apoplectic About Both Guns and Civilian Ownership and Possession Of Guns



Americans must not forget that Cuomo’s obsession with guns, generally, and with civilian ownership and possession of guns, particularly, isn’t something he concocted out-of-the-blue, and it didn't happen yesterday. Having been able to use his State, New York, as a test-bed for his radical antigun policies to play out, Cuomo’s attack on the Second Amendment commenced many years ago, on January 1, 2011, during his first term in Office. Cuomo’s agenda then took shape over time, rapidly gathering steam, during the course of his first four-year term in Office, as New York’s Governor. Let Americans be ever mindful of that.



As reported by the weblog Observer, in an article published on January 9, 2013, titled, ‘Cuomo Vows to ‘Enact the Toughest Assault Weapon Ban in the Nation, Period!'





“One of the most hotly anticipated elements of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s annual State of the State address today [to the New York Legislature, delivered on Jan 9, 2013] was his plan to enact ‘sweeping’ gun control reforms in New York. In his speech, the governor outlined a seven-point gun control plan focused on “high-capacity assault rifles” that he promised would be one of the ‘toughest’ in the nation and lead similar laws to spread beyond New York.



The governor outlined the items on his seven-point gun plan.



‘Number one: Enact the toughest assault weapon ban in the nation, period!' he shouted, before ticking off his other new gun control proposals. ‘Number two, close the private sale loophole by requiring federal background checks. Number three, ban high-capacity magazines. Number four, enact tougher penalties for illegal gun use, guns in school grounds and violent gangs. Number five, keep guns from people who are mentally ill. Number six, ban direct internet sales of ammunition in New York. Number seven, create a state [National Instant Criminal Background Check System] check on all ammunition purchases.’



[To this 7 Point list, we can now add, Cuomo’s 8th Point: “On Monday, February 25, 2019, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the Red Flag Bill into law at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He was joined by many of his colleagues in New York State government, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to celebrate this new legislation, the first in the nation of its kind. . . .” (Source: John Jay College of Criminal Justice), Mr. Cuomo predicting the rest of the country will follow New York’s lead and adopt stiffer gun laws].



By the end of the speech, the governor was shouting.”





Cuomo never intended his antigun agenda to be confined to one State. His agenda was much more ambitious. On October 30, 2015, The New York Times exclaimed, in an article titled, “Cuomo Planning Role in National Gun Control Campaign,” that Cuomo anticipated national attention. “ ‘The political climate is right again for action,’ ” said Mr. Cuomo, who has endorsed Hillary Rodham Clinton for president. He added, ‘The appetite is there, I think, in the presidential election, especially in the Democratic primary but also in the general election.’ ” Well, that didn’t come to pass and Governor Cuomo obviously never forgave Donald Trump for having had the audacity to win the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, and thereby dashing Cuomo’s hope of implementation of a National NY Safe Act—dashing Cuomo's hope of adding an important feather in “Chief Cuomo’s” own headdress. See article in the weblog, “Syracuse,” posted on April 29, 2019, titled, “Cuomo to Trump on gun violence: You have done nothing but tweet.”



Don’t for a moment think that the incessant, vicious, virulent attack on the Second Amendment won't factor as a major issue in the upcoming 2020 U.S. Presidential election, as Democrats gear up for the debates, beginning this month. It most definitely will! And Cuomo will, no doubt, be cheering the Candidates on, all the way.

A Pennsylvania National Guard unit got a lesson in First Amendment fairness after it attempted to ban a Christian scouting group from taking a tour of its facility.



It all began in February when a Pennsylvania troop for Trail Life USA, a Christian alternative to the Boy Scouts of America, contacted the National Guard unit in Fort Indian Gap, Pennsylvania, to schedule a tour of the facility. While National Guard officials initially agreed to host Trail Life troop PA-2717 for a tour, in April a staff sergeant with the Guard unit called back to say that the tour had been cancelled because of the troop’s Christian affiliation.



In response, Trail Life USA contacted First Liberty Institute and the Pennsylvania-based Independence law center, two public policy legal groups that represent individuals and organizations whose religious and First Amendment freedoms have been violated.



In a pointed letter, the legal groups warned the National Guard that “Fort Indiantown Gap’s denial of access to the base facilities, which are open to other civic, fraternal, and youth organizations and for youth activities, constitutes viewpoint discrimination.”







John Stemberger, chairman of the Trail Life USA board, told Fox news he was disappointed that a “federal institution like the Army is buying into this leftist idea that faith has to be excluded from the public square. It’s sad that an institution of our society is treating faith like it is some kind of bacteria or virus that needs to be exterminated from secular society. We need faith integrated with society.”



The legal push-back prompted the National Guard to back down on its denial and welcome the Trail Life troop with open arms.



“We are grateful that Guard has chosen to open its doors to the Trail Life troop,” Independence Law Center senior counsel Jeremy Samek said in a statement. “The boys from Trail Life USA’s troop deserve to be treated fairly and equally. I know that they are excited to get the opportunity to interact with those who defend our freedom.”



On its website, Trail Life USA says that its vision is to be “the premier national character development organization for young men which produces godly and responsible husbands, fathers, and citizens.” It goes on to say that its mission is “to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.”

CINCINNATI, Ohio — An apostate assembly that identifies itself as “a loving and progressive faith community” held their own sort of drag queen story time last Sunday as the building caretaker dressed in drag and read to the congregation a story about homosexual politician Harvey Milk and the creation of the rainbow flag.



The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Dan Davidson had previously performed as a drag queen in Seattle, Washington before moving to Ohio and joining Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church, led by Stacey Midge. Davidson is a caretaker for the facility.



Last Sunday, Davidson donned a purple dress and high heels and applied a glitter beard as he presented himself as “Sparkle Leigh.”



The service began with the song “God Welcomes All” and then Davidson later took the stage to read the book “Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag” to children and adults alike. Milk is considered the first openly homosexual elected politician in California and worked as a homosexual rights activist. Acquaintance Gilbert Baker designed the rainbow flag known today as the symbol for homosexual, bisexual and transgender pride.







“Harvey dreamed that everyone — even gay people — would have equality,” Davidson read. “He dreamed that one day, people would be able to live and love as they pleased.”



“Harvey and his friends planned marches to protest inequality and unfair laws. And just days before one of the marches, Harvey had an idea. … We need a symbol that shows who we are and how we feel. … Harvey knew an artist who could help — Gilbert Baker.”



Some in attendance held up their cell phones to reenact the San Francisco candlelight vigil for Milk, as mentioned in the book.



The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Mount Auburn Presbyterian is in the midst of celebrating Pride Month, and is decorated with pride flags and rainbow candles. One man told his “coming out” story during the service.



Davidson stood near the entrance at the end of the gathering and spoke to the people as they left.



As previously reported, Open Cathedral in Leander, Texas, a member of the United Church of Christ, hosted a “Drag Queen Story Time” on June 15 at the Leander Public Library after city officials decided to cancel the initial library event.



“We wanted the kids of Leander to know they are safe and they are loved, and being different is wonderful,” leader Ryan Hart told the Austin Statesman.



However, some have noted that the meaning of love — and God’s love for mankind — is misunderstood, as the Bible teaches that apart from Christ, all men are “by nature, the children of wrath” (Ephesians 2:3) and the enemies of God.



Isaiah 53:6 says, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way. And the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”



Romans 5:6-10 explains that the love of God is demonstrated by Christ dying even for His enemies so that they might be saved from the power of sin and the wrath of God.



“For when we were yet without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure, for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,” it states.



“Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”



The Bible also states that the gift of God to undeserving man is the way He made through Christ for the forgiveness of sin, eternal life, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit in the here and now, that being made free from sin, men might instead serve the living God.



“[N]ow being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life,” Romans 6 reads. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

These attacks could have perpetrated by militant atheists, angry ex-Catholics, any number of people. But such people have been in Germany for years, and there has not been significant vandalism of churches. However, Germany has seen a large influx of Muslim migrants in recent years, many of whom believe that it is an insult to Allah to say that Jesus is the Son of God (cf. Qur’an 19:35), and that Jesus died on the cross (which the Qur’an also denies at 4:157), and that representations of the human form are temptations to idolatry. Could it be possible that Muslim migrants are behind this epidemic of attacks on churches? Or would that be “Islamophobic” even to consider?







“Germany Sees Thirty Anti-Christian Attacks in Two Months,” by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, June 22, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):





According to a new report from a watchdog on anti-Christian incidents, between April and June Germany saw thirty anti-Christian attacks ranging from thefts to arsons.



The data was compiled by the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe, who noted around 30 separate incidents between April 1st and June 10th published on the group’s website.



A large number of the cases involved various forms of vandalism, including an incident at the Lutheran Nikolaikirche in Caldern in which the attackers set fire to the hymn book and Bible at the altar of the church, and also left faeces on a bench outside of the church and at the entrance.



In Mannheim on April 29th, thieves caused a large amount of damage to another church, smashing the doors and other objects, causing around 10,000 euros in damages.



Around a third of the incidents over the period involved thefts, mainly of donation boxes, such as in the St. Marien Catholic Church in Bremerhaven where offerings of between 300 and 500 euros were stolen.



In the Osterfeld Protestant Church in Berkheim, Esslingen thieves stole three gaming consoles, a digital camera, and an SLR camera from the youth room and another room used for storage.



The estimated cost of the goods was around 1,000 euros but the damage done to the church itself amounted to another 2,000 euros.



Another theft in Bad Oldesloe saw suspects take a wooden cross from the altar of the Peter-Paul-Kirche that is thought to be worth between 3,000 and 5,000 euros.



In two cases, attackers attempted to set fire to churches in Ankum and Nordhausen but the blazes were put out before they could spread any do any serious damage….

WHY YOU CAN’T FIX THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION FROM THE INSIDE

This Simple Equation Explains Why You Can’t Fix the SBC from the Inside

There are a lot of well-intentioned folks who have convinced themselves that they will fix the SBC “from the inside.” Typically, this idea is verbalized when others promote the Biblical notion of godly separation. This simple equation, however, will demonstrate why it’s impossible to bring lasting reform to the SBC from the inside.


THIS IS THE EQUATION

FACT 1: In order to have influence in the SBC, you must give to the Cooperative Program and support it financially.
The Cooperative Program is the funding mechanism that allows funds voluntarily given from local churches to be disbursed to the SBC’s autonomous entities (seminaries, LifeWay, the ERLC, etc). No Southern Baptist church or pastor can have any influence whatsoever without supporting the Cooperative Program; it is what earns you a seat at the table.
FACT 2: As long as autonomous SBC entities have your church’s money, and so long as they are well-funded, they don’t have to reform.
If these entities have their coffers full, they have independence because they are autonomous and don’t answer to SBC churches. Entity trustees are chosen and selected by the spoils system and are fueled by nepotism. Every entity is essentially a run-away entity. If they have your money, ironically, they don’t care about your opinions and they don’t have to.
ERGO, FACT 3: By purchasing “influence” through financially supporting the SBC power structure, you have purchased only a counterfeit influence.
It is imagined influence, and not real influence. Your financial support has allowed you the opportunity to be heard, but because the autonomous entities have your money already, they don’t have to listen.
As soon as your church withdraws financial support from the CP, you will lose your seat at the table to be heard at all. But if you’re still financially supporting the CP, your seat at the table won’t do any good.


LEARN THE LESSON

There are many thousands of SBC pastors and leaders who fundamentally oppose the direction of the Southern Baptist Convention and its newly-woke institutions. They oppose the push for female clergy. They oppose Critical Race Theory, Identity Politics, and Cultural Marxism. They oppose all of it, but have convinced themselves they’ll change it from the inside.
We saw some of those SBC pastors, like Tom Buck and Tom Ascol, use their seat at “the SBC table” to ask stirring questions from the mic, mildly protest, and cause a few (well-deserved) scenes. And while I’m with those men ideologically, I’m not with them strategically. They are still, with their churches, substantially supporting the Cooperative Program and SBC entities. They are financially supporting the SBC power structure that – while it allows them 60 seconds at the microphone, ensures that they’re not listened to.
No doubt, there are many more pastors all around the SBC who are convinced that they can help “from the inside.” The equation above should dispel any hopes of it. As soon as a church stops supporting the SBC financially, they are ostracized and blacklisted. Their pastors will no longer be appointed as trustees or to denominational positions.
What these well-meaning men need to understand is that being heard is not the same thing as being listened to. Should you give your thousands to the Southern Baptist convention, you will have a chance to be heard, but because these institutions don’t need you if they have your money, you will not be listened to.


NO MORAL IMPERATIVE TO SAVE THE SBC

I think many pastors think they’ve somehow a moral imperative to save the SBC. However, the denomination is not a church and it is, therefore, not the Bride of Christ. Denominations are not for whom Jesus died and they’re not for whom he is returning. There is no Biblical mandate to be a part of a denomination; there is no Scriptural requirement.
Being yoked with such ungodliness as has become the SBC is not excused by a desire to save that which God does not ask you to save. While we may remain with a local church that has the problems of Corinth, and are bound to reform and fight for her, we are not bound in any such way to a denomination.
Trying to save the denomination from the inside is not bravery. It is foolishness.


A FINAL CAVEAT

Rosana Auri da Silva Candido and Kacyla Priscyla Santiago Damasceno Pessoa on May 31 stabbed the boy to death in his sleep, cut him into pieces and tried to burn the body party on a grill at their home, Metropoles reported last week, citing the police. Candido is the biological mother of the boy, whose name was Rhuan Maycon da Silva Castro.

“Islamic Iran” has been long seeking regional and global dominance. It knows well how to manipulate Westerners into thinking that American provocation made its leaders that way.



A couple of days ago Jihad Watch reported that a spokesman for the Iranian atomic agency “announced that Iran is “ramping up enrichment of low-grade uranium and will pass the limit it is allowed to stockpile under the nuclear deal in 10 days…. in the latest blow to the nuclear deal agreed between Tehran and world powers in 2015.



Ayatollah Khomeini, who founded the Islamic Republic of Iran considered America to be the “foremost enemy of Islam”. He once said “The Iranian people…will keep alive in their hearts anger and hatred for…the warmongering United States. This must be until the banner of Islam flies over every house in the world.”



The latter is really the issue. Under the Iran deal, Iran has been “prohibited from transferring any weapons to third countries, but Iran, which possesses more than 1,000 short- and medium-range ballistic missiles, is suspected of continuing to smuggle weapons to countries and non-state actors such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.”



Iran is not a country that should or could be trusted. Its goals has always been the destruction of Israel, America and global dominance. The country ascribes to Shia eschatological beliefs which dictates its foreign policy. In fact Iran’s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accused America in 2015 of being “out to get the Hidden Imam”, who disappeared in the 10th century.



It is a wildly fanatical country that tricked countries into signing a bogus nuclear deal that enabled funds to freely flow toward its jihad terror missions, including Iranian proxies.

The location of where the drone was shot down is being disputed, with U.S. officials telling the Associated Press the drone was in international airspace while Iran is saying the drone had entered Iranian airspace near the Kouhmobarak district in southern Iran’s Hormozgan province.
According to AP, the Iranians shot the drone down with a surface-to-air missile

Thursday’s incident was the second time in recent days that the Iranians have targeted U.S. drones.



Last week, Iran attempted to shoot down a U.S. drone that was surveilling one of the tankers in the Gulf of Oman that had been attacked.

An ISIS supporter disguised potentially lethal bombs as household items and left them in the street for members of the public to find.



Wesley Dallas Ayers, 27, planted three real bombs, including one disguised as a teddy bear, and three fake ones around South Carolina.



The FBI has now released images of the disturbing packages planted by Ayers, who was given a 30-year prison sentence in February.



One man received minor burns to his leg after a wicker basket he had noticed glowing while driving with his daughter exploded.



Police later discovered a note written in Arabic and referencing Osama bin Laden.



In the following weeks, two more genuine bombs were found by members of the public but rendered safe by law enforcement.



The teddy-shaped bomb was found left in the road, its eyes also glowing to make it visible.



FBI Special Agent Christopher Derrickson said: “This was deliberately placed where a child or passerby could have found it.



“Fortunately, someone saw it and knew to call us.”



Three hoax objects were also found in different locations with notes declaring that the community was no longer safe.

The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution includes a guarantee that no person shall “be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb.” The U.S. Supreme Court decided by a 7 to 2 vote, announced on Monday, that this double jeopardy clause does not apply to an individual who is prosecuted for the same alleged criminal conduct in the courts of different sovereigns, including federal and state courts. In the case before the Court, the defendant had pleaded guilty to violating a state law against gun possession by someone previously convicted of “a crime of violence.” After his guilty plea to the state offense, federal prosecutors indicted the defendant for the same instance of gun possession under a federal law, presumably to exact a longer sentence than was imposed by the state court for the same thing.



Trump-haters are likely salivating because of this decision. They are relishing the prospect of Trump associates, pardoned in the future by the president for federal crimes, facing criminal trial in state courts for the same underlying criminal conduct, not to mention the increased jeopardy that Mr. Trump himself will face for his own alleged conduct after he leaves office. Even if he resigns before the end of his term so that Vice President Mike Pence can assume the presidency in time to pardon Mr. Trump for any federal criminal violations, he will still be subject to prosecution for state crime violations based on the same alleged conduct for which he was pardoned at the federal level. There are plenty of state prosecutors itching for the chance to put Mr. Trump in jail, egged on by Trump-hating Democrats and the media.



However, whatever impact the Supreme Court double jeopardy decision may have on Mr. Trump and his associates, the longer-term impact of the decision for Americans’ civil liberties should be of significant concern to all freedom-loving Americans. Under the Supreme Court’s reasoning taken to its extreme, an individual could be tried for the same criminal conduct at the federal level and in 49 states where he or she is repeatedly acquitted, but still found guilty in the 50th state so long as it has its own law covering the same conduct.



The majority opinion, written by Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., reasoned that since the federal and state governments constitute separate sovereigns, each with its own separate law that may cover the same underlying conduct, each sovereign can prosecute for an “offence” against its own law. This is known as the separate-sovereigns doctrine. Justice Alito wrote that there was support for this conclusion from the text of the Fifth Amendment itself, and from the history surrounding the meaning of the word “offence” as it was understood under centuries-old English law and materials that were contemporaneous with the founding of the United States and the drafting of the Constitution. Most importantly, Justice Alito wrote, there was “a chain of precedent linking dozens of cases over 170 years” that have interpreted the Fifth Amendment’s double jeopardy clause as inapplicable to successive prosecutions for the same conduct at the federal and state levels of government.



The Court’s most liberal justice, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and one of the Court’s most conservative justices, Neil M. Gorsuch, filed dissents. Although Justice Clarence Thomas ultimately decided to side with the majority despite his earlier skepticism regarding the separate-sovereigns doctrine, he warned against giving too much weight to precedents if they were wrongly decided. This is one case in which the majority, including Justice Thomas himself, should have taken Justice Thomas’s advice and overruled the bad precedents rather than perpetuate them.



After noting that the double jeopardy clause of the Fifth Amendment protects individuals from being “twice put in jeopardy” “for the same offence,” Justice Alito wrote that “same offence” does not mean the same thing as “the same conduct or actions,” quoting from a dissent by the late Justice Scalia. What is more, Justice Alito argued, “the same offence” is a legal term that is “sovereign-specific.” Violations of a federal law and of a state law covering the same underlying criminal conduct are not the same “offence” because there are separate violations of separate sovereigns’ laws.



“As originally understood…an ‘offence’ is defined by a law,” Justice Alito wrote, “and each law is defined by a sovereign. So where there are two sovereigns, there are two laws, and two ‘offences.’” Justice Alito devoted an inordinate amount of space in his opinion to reciting ancient history and Supreme Court precedent in support of this interpretation.  However, Justice Alito has led himself and the majority of the other justices into a classic case of circular reasoning.  Since he starts with the premise that an “offence” is defined as a violation of an individual sovereign’s law and the United States and each state are defined as separate sovereigns, he naturally concludes that successive state and federal prosecutions cannot properly place a defendant in “jeopardy . . . for the same offence.” The problem is that Justice Alito and the precedents on which he relied assume a definition of the single word “offence” as inherently sovereign specific, without any support for that proposition in the text of the Constitution.



Justice Alito could have avoided this circular reasoning and corrected the error of past precedents if he had not quoted the text of the Fifth Amendment referring to “Offences” in isolation. He should have considered it alongside the text of the president’s pardoning power in Article II, Section 2, which states that the president “shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” (Emphasis added) When the framers wanted to use the term “offence” in a sovereign-specific sense, they did so. Thus, the president could only pardon for “Offences against the United States,” not for “offences” against any sovereign state. However, the framers made no distinction in the text of the Fifth Amendment between a sovereign specific federal “offence” and a sovereign-specific state “offence” in the Fifth Amendment’s double jeopardy clause. 



Justice Alito mistakenly analogized the question of successive federal and state prosecutions for the same underlying conduct to successive prosecutions in the United States and a foreign country. Surely, he argued, the United States should be able to prosecute an individual who killed a U.S. national in another country even if the other country goes after the same killer for committing an act of violence within its territory. “The murder of a U. S. national is an offense to the United States as much as it is to the country where the murder occurred and to which the victim is a stranger,” he wrote.



Justice Alito’s analogy of successive prosecutions by a foreign country and the United States for the same criminal conduct to successive federal and state prosecutions for the same criminal conduct within the United States itself is a bad analogy.  In fact, it is irrelevant. As Justice Ginsburg noted in her dissent, the defendant in the case before the Court “was convicted in both Alabama and the United States, jurisdictions that are not foreign to each other.” The United States and its constituent states, Justice Ginsburg wrote, “compose one people, bound by an overriding Federal Constitution.” Citing Federalist No. 51, Justice Ginsburg added that “the division of authority between the United States and the States was meant to operate as ‘a double security [for] the rights of the people’… The separate-sovereigns doctrine, however, scarcely shores up people’s rights. Instead, it invokes federalism to withhold liberty.” She emphasized that the ultimate source of sovereignty in the United States lies with the people themselves. “Under our Constitution, the federal and state governments are but two expressions of a single and sovereign people,” she wrote.



Justice Gorsuch articulated a simple, common sense observation on the dangerous implications of the majority opinion. “A free society does not allow its government to try the same individual for the same crime until it’s happy with the result,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, the Court today endorses a colossal exception to this ancient rule against double jeopardy. My colleagues say that the federal government and each State are ‘separate sovereigns’ entitled to try the same person for the same crime. So if all the might of one ‘sovereign’ cannot succeed against the presumptively free individual, another may insist on the chance to try again. And if both manage to succeed, so much the better; they can add one punishment on top of the other.” Justice Gorsuch worried about “the capacity of the state to bring charges repeatedly until it wins the result it wants, and what little would be left of human liberty if that power remained unchecked.”



In this case, two justices from the opposite sides of the ideological spectrum reached what should have been the guiding rule for protecting individuals against unchecked multiple prosecutions for the same criminal act. They both sought to shield the Constitution’s protection against double jeopardy from a legalistic distinction without a difference. On June 18, 2019 The New York Daily News reported, "Cuomo signs bill granting undocumented immigrants access to New York driver’s licenses despite 11th-hour concerns."

 



Incredibly, the concerns were not about how this might impact national security, public safety or the immigration crisis on the border, but about how information in the DMV databases might help the federal government to enforce immigration laws and what needs to be done to prevent this from happening!



 



This is not the first time that the New York State legislature attempted to provide driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, but this time this dangerous and wrong-headed legislation has become the law of the state.



 



Back in 2007 then-New York State Governor Spitzer pushed for similar legislation that would have provided illegal aliens with driver’s licenses.



 



I testified before the New York State Senate on October 15, 2007 on that issue, in which I voiced my extreme opposition to the legislation.  



 



When I addressed the hearing I noted that the preposterous claim made by proponents for issuing driver’s licenses, and an argument that was used during the most recent debate, is that since illegal aliens will drive “anyway” (with or without a license), a license would enable them to get insurance and they would learn to drive more safely. I told them that by this reasoning the State of New York should provide convicted felons with firearms training and carry permits since it is likely that they would also violate the laws and carry guns “anyway.” I then said that with proper training the criminals could improve their accuracy and thus would be less likely to hit innocent bystanders in a gun battle. Further, perhaps through training, they could be convinced to use trigger locks between bank robberies and drive-by shootings. With my tongue firmly embedded in my cheek I suggested that this would improve public safety immeasurably. 



 



You can imagine their reactions!



 



The concerns I included in my prepared testimony then are as relevant today as they were then, with one additional critical factor: in the nearly 12 years since that hearing, while there have been no terror attacks carried out by international terrorists that involve the hijacking of airliners, there have been a string of deadly mass casualty terror attacks around the world and in the United States that involved terrorists using motor vehicles as weapons.



 



On June 14, 2019 the Justice Department announced the sentencing of a citizen of Yemen for his terrorist activities: "New York Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Attempting to Join ISIS in Yemen."



 



The press release included this paragraph:



 



Following his return to the United States in September 2015, Naji continued to express his support for ISIS and violent jihad.  In July 2016, following the ISIS-inspired terrorist truck attack in Nice, France, that killed scores of innocent civilians, Naji told the CS how easy it would be to carry out a similar attack in Times Square, explaining that ISIS “want[s] an operation in Times Square” and stating that an ISIS “reconnaissance group . . . put up scenes of Times Square.” 



 



 Naji further explained, “if there is a truck, I mean a garbage truck and one drives it there to Times Square and crushes them . . . Times Square day.” 



 



Terrorists have also used vehicles such cabs and passenger vans to conduct clandestine meetings and as a means of conducting covert surveillance on potential terror targets.



 



The TSA was created in the aftermath of the terror attacks of 9/11 and funded to the tune of billions of dollars. It currently employs more than 45,000 people and  maintains and uses so-called “No Fly Lists” to help prevent terrorists from gaining access to airliners.



 



Yet there are no “No Drive Lists” to prevent terrorists from being able to access cars and trucks.



 



Perhaps the efforts to enhance security in the commercial aviation sector have paid off or, perhaps the terrorists have simply shifted their methodology. In any event the use of motor vehicles as weapons has prompted cities to install numerous physical barriers to protect against such attacks but few barriers exist to prevent terrorists from gaining access to motor vehicles.



 



On August 20, 2018, CNN provided a synopsis of such attacks in an article, "Terrorist Attacks by Vehicle Fast Facts."



 



Terrorists who have driver’s licenses don’t pose a risk only to those who live in the state where the license was issued. They can simply rent a car in New York and drive anywhere in the U.S. or travel to any other state and use their New York driver’s license to rent a car there.



 



Now New York, the state that by far suffered the greatest devastation on September 11, 2001 and has suffered other terror attacks, including one that involved a truck used to run down people on a bicycle path just blocks from the World Trade Center, will enthusiastically provide illegal aliens with driver’s licenses.



 



My dad taught me to drive. When he handed me the keys to our family car he told me that a car could be more lethal than a gun. And as we have seen all too frequently, that statement is accurate, dead accurate.



 



Continuing with my dad’s comparison of guns and cars, 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) is a federal law that prohibits certain individuals from possessing firearms that includes:



 



(5) who, being an alien- (A) is illegally and unlawfully in the United States; or (B) except as provided in subsection (y)(2), has been admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa (as that term is defined in section 101(a)(26) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. § 1101(a)(26)))



 



The penalty for violation of this law is a maximum of 10 years in jail.



 



New York City Penal Code similarly prohibits non U.S. citizens (aliens) from possessing firearms.



 



Why then should illegal aliens be given the privilege of driving motor vehicles when their very presence in the United States is a violation of law and we may never know their true identities?



 



Drivers licenses, however, convey more than the authority to drive motor vehicles.



 



Illegal aliens, criminals, fugitives and terrorists seek to acquire identity documents such as driver’s licenses, particularly under false names to conceal their true identities and their movements and provide them with an illusion of legitimacy to which they are certainly not entitled.



 



My earlier article, "Immigration And The Unlearned Lessons Of 9/11," included the link to an important New York Times article, "Roosevelt Avenue, a Corridor of Vice," which reported on the nexus between illegal immigration, crime (including human trafficking, prostitution, narcotics), and the use of false identity documents, primarily by illegal aliens.



 



“Undocumented Immigrants” generally have no authentic and reliable means of identifying themselves. The New York Times article noted how important it was for the NYPD to shut down the fraud document vendors because of the dangers associated with providing such individuals with identity documents. However, for local officials to provide illegal aliens with authentic driver’s licenses directly violates the findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission which was behind the creation of the REAL ID Act.

It is all but impossible for state or local officials to properly determine the true identifies of “undocumented” aliens. Thus illegal aliens would be able to easily game the licensing procedures to acquire an actual driver’s license under false identities making the DMV no better than the fake document vendors who ply their trades in communities across the United States as described in the New York Times article I noted above.



 



It is remarkable that on August 4, 2004, MSNBC published an NBC report, "9/11 report light on ID theft issues," which included this paragraph:



 



But in the nation's most comprehensive look yet at what went wrong on Sept. 11., and what can be done to prevent the next terrorist attack, identity theft gets scarce mention. Buried deep within the 9/11 commission report — on about 10 pages, starting with page 393 — are suggestions for dealing with the deeply connected problems of terrorism and identity fraud.



 



Then there was this disconcerting paragraph:
