We have covered a lot of material in this book, and it might be helpful to offer a checklist of the major points.
  • Do the parents have godly child training as a major priority and objective? 
  • Are the parents doing everything possible to see that the children are born again?
  • Are the parents living consistent Christian lives?
  • Do the parents have an effective private Bible study habit?
  • Do they have a daily family altar?
  • Are they faithful to a sound church?
  • Are the parents avoiding any glaring sin that would undermine their discipline?
  • Do the husband and wife have a wholesome relationship together in the Lord?
  • Is the father the spiritual head of the home?
  • Is the husband loving his wife and communicating with her?
  • Does the wife have a godly, submissive spirit?
  • Is the mother a “keeper at home”?
  • Is the home filled with spiritual music?
  • Are the children being disciplined effectively and is the rod incorporated properly into the disciplinary program?
  • Is the discipline being applied consistently?
  • Is the discipline being applied persistently?
  • Is the rod being used with sufficient force to produce obedience?
  • Are the children being taught obedience and respect for authority?
  • Are the children being taught to have a good attitude?
  • Are the children being taught to obey quickly rather than given multiple warnings?
  • Is the discipline being administered in love?
  • Are the parents carefully guarding themselves against disciplining the children in anger?
  • Are the children being taught that they cannot sass back or resist the discipline?
  • Are the children being grounded in the Bible? Are they being trained to have their own personal daily Bible study habits?
  • Are the children being taught how to study and interpret the Bible?
  • Are the parents in close communication with the children?
  • Are the father and mother acting in harmony before the children? 
  • Are the parents keeping and guarding the children’s hearts?
  • Is the father careful to avoid provoking his children to wrath?
  • Are the parents closely overseeing all areas of the children’s lives?
  • If the children have reached adolescence, are the parents still in close communication with them and overseeing their lives?
  • Are the parents candid before the children and do they confess their sins and errors when needful?
  • Are the children being taught the biblical basis for rules and restrictions? 
  • Are they being taught how to apply the Bible to their daily lives and decisions? 
  • Are the parents praying daily and earnestly for the children?
  • Are the children being separated from the evil things of the world, such as Hollywood, pop music, immodest fashions, and unwholesome video games and literature? 
  • Is any Internet usage under godly control?
  • Are the children being taught how to serve the Lord? Are they involved in ministry?
  • Are the children in a sound, spiritually-healthy Bible-believing fundamentalist church?
  • Are the parents supporting the church’s standards?
  • Are the children being educated in a wholesome Christian school or home school?

UPDATE: In the light of many recent shares this video has seen a surprising amount of national attention. My daughter is now 10 years old, still enjoys trips to the range with me and the safe handling of firearms. We stay intuitive to her comfort level and desire to continue learning without pushing her beyond her will (think the opposite of stage mothers and honeybooboo).

My oldest daughter has been by my side since before the beginning of HausofGuns. She started shooting at 4 years of age and we’ve gradually allowed her a little more freedom with guns.

Now 7 years old, her confidence has grown to where I’m beginning to help her move from her 22 rifles to centerfire guns. This is her first time ever firing an AR-15 style rifle. We’ve still got things to work on, but I think she did an outstanding job.

Maryland – HB 1302 “Seize the Guns First, Ask Questions Later”

U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- Governor Hogan disregarded our veto requests and has signed the Handgun Permit Review Board Bill (HB 819) , and the “red flag” bill (HB 1302). As detailed in our veto letters to the Governor (the letter on HB 819 can be found HERE, and HB 1302 letter can be found HERE), both bills were bad, but the HB 1302 “red flag” bill was the worst.
Basically, under that bill as it became law, virtually anyone can ask a law enforcement officer to file an ex parte petition with a state district court judge or commissioner and allege that the gun owner poses an immediate danger to himself/herself or others because (and only because) he or she possesses firearms. If the court issues the order, the police can show up on the doorstep and seize the person’s firearms without notice or warning. HB 819 did not abolish the Board but added an additional layer of “de novo” review that allows either the applicant or the Maryland State Police to appeal the Board’s decision to the Office of Administrative Hearings for a new, de novo formal hearing before a state Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). That will give the MSP a second bite at the apple to appeal Board decisions they don’t like without going to court. Decisions of the ALJ can then be appealed to the court. The bill also creates new time deadlines for the Board and the ALJ to hear cases.
And that is not the only bad news. The General Assembly passed and Governor Hogan signed into law SB707 (found HERE). which purports to ban bump stocks and other so-called “Rapid Fire Trigger Activators”. We testified against that bill (that testimony can be found HERE). Our opposition and that of others did result in one significant amendment to the original bill, viz., the bill now makes clear that a Rapid Fire Trigger Activator does NOT include a
“SEMIAUTOMATIC REPLACEMENT TRIGGER THAT IMPROVES THE PERFORMANCE AND FUNCTIONALITY OVER THE STOCK TRIGGER.”
The original bill was also amended at the last minute to exempt from its ban existing owners “APPLIED TO THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS, AND EXPLOSIVES BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2018, FOR AUTHORIZATION TO POSSESS A RAPID FIRE TRIGGER ACTIVATOR” and “RECEIVED AUTHORIZATION TO POSSESS A RAPID FIRE TRIGGER ACTIVATOR FROM THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2019.”
We and others have checked and it seems the ATF will not accept any such requests for such “authorization.” – See HERE The ATF has confirmed the position in correspondence with MSI. So “Catch 22” for existing owners. The irony is rich, however, that this reality with the ATF also makes this new bump stock ban all the more open to legal attack under the Due Process Clause and the Takings Clauses of the Federal and Maryland Constitutions. Any legal attack on the red flag bill will have to await a case in which it is abused as only such persons will have the standing to challenge it in federal court. We are sure that this law will be abused in short order, just as similar gun seizure protective orders in domestic relations cases are often abused.
There is some good news in the bullets we managed to dodge this year at the General Assembly. For the second year running, the campus-carry ban (HB904) passed the House of Delegates but failed to become law when it was stranded in the Senate Rules Committee. We strongly opposed that bill (opposition found HERE). We also opposed HB 991 and its cross-filed twin, SB 1062 that would have banned the mere possession of any magazine that could hold more than 10 rounds. Under current law (MD Code Criminal Law Section 4-305), a person may not manufacture, sell, offer for sale, purchase, receive, or transfer such magazines, but possession is not banned. We also opposed successfully, for the third year running, the attempt to ban the possession of black powder guns by disqualified persons (HB 402 and SB 448), pointing out that such a ban would be hopelessly ineffective given that such guns are not even considered to be firearms under federal law. Of course, it is an election year, so all of the good the bills never made it out of committee.
The sole exception was Senator Hough’s and Delegate Rey’s bills (HB 29 and SB 27) that would have allowed a person to file an application for a carry permit without first obtaining the expensive 16 hours of training. If that person received preliminary approval, the applicant could then get the training and the permit. That bill passed the Senate almost unanimously (Senator Ramirez being the sole nay vote), but then was “Christmas treed” in the House with non-germane amendments by antis, forcing the sponsors to abandon the effort.
We will try again next year. Not even the hardcore antis seriously oppose this “common sense” bill.
It is greatly frustrating that all the good bills that were submitted this year (and there were many) never made it out of committee.

I look forward to visiting the Apes and Pigs Pavilion, where Allah transforms disobedient Jews into those despised animals: “And well you know there were those among you [Jews] that transgressed the Sabbath, and We said to them, ‘Be you apes, miserably slinking!’” (Qur’an 2:65). “Say: ‘People of the Book, do you blame us for any other cause than that we believe in Allah, and what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down before, and that most of you are ungodly?’ Say: ‘Shall I tell you of a recompense with Allah, worse than that? From there we can go on to the “Pretend to Be Friends to Infidels Pool,” where we can dive in and enjoy the warm water of a friendship and alliance that our Muslim friends entered into in order to protect themselves from us: “Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends, rather than the believers — for whoever does that belongs not to Allah in anything — unless you are doing it to guard yourselves against them.” (Qur’an 3:28)
After that, we’ll dry off and head over to the games. We can start with the Terror Toss. First one to cast terror into the hearts of the unbelievers wins a plush teddy bear: “We will cast into the hearts of the unbelievers terror, because they have associated with Allah that for which He never sent down authority; their dwelling shall be the Fire; evil is the dwelling of the evildoers.” (Qur’an 3:151)
Then grab your tongs and Snag A Sex Slave! And if that doesn’t slake your thirst for righteousness, head over to Uraina Field, where you can join in a rousing game of Chase the Apostate. First one who catches him, well, you know what to do! “They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of Allah; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and kill them wherever you find them; do not take to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper.” (Qur’an 4:89)
Still eager to set the world right? I don’t blame you! Let’s head over to Chop ’em Circle, where we can take care of those who dare to “fight against Allah and his messenger”: “This is the recompense of those who fight against Allah and His Messenger, and hasten about the earth, to do corruption there: they shall be slaughtered, or crucified, or their hands and feet shall alternately be struck off; or they shall be banished from the land. That is a degradation for them in this world; and in the world to come awaits them a mighty chastisement.” (Qur’an 5:33) Oh, and thieves, too: “And the thief, male and female: cut off the hands of both, as a recompense for what they have earned, and a punishment exemplary from Allah; Allah is All-mighty, All-wise.” (Qur’an 5:38)
Then comes the crown and center of the theme park, Jihad Jamboree, where all paying (and praying) attendees over the age of 18 are issued swords and scimitars. Idolaters and People of the Book are bussed in especially for the occasion. But those crafty devils will be hiding (be sure to listen to the trees; they talk here, just like in Lord of the Rings!), so your work will be cut out for you before you can do any cutting of your own: “Then, when the sacred months are over, kill the idolaters wherever you find them, and arrest them, and besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them. But if they repent, and perform the prayer, and pay the alms, then let them go their way; Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.” (Qur’an 9:5) “When you meet the unbelievers, strike their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads…” (Qur’an 47:4)
Kids will enjoy collecting the jizya from the subjugated People of the Book: “Fight those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden — such men as do not practice the religion of truth, even if they are of the People of the Book — until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Qur’an 9:29)
Qur’an Theme Park: it’s the best theme park in the world, because the reward is Paradise! “Allah has bought from the believers their selves and their possessions; for that they shall have Paradise. They fight in the way of Allah; they kill, and are killed…” (Qur’an 9:111)
And remember: if you meet any Infidels while browsing through the Qur’anic flora and fauna, you know how to act: “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are ruthless against the unbelievers, merciful one to another.” (Qur’an 48:29)
Qur’an Theme Park: it’s nonstop fun for the whole family! There’s just one catch: you can’t leave.
“Dubai to open ‘Quran Park’ showcasing miracles of Islam,” Al Arabiya, May 8, 2018:
Dubai is set to open a “Quran Park” that will display plants mentioned in the holy book, as well as the miracles mentioned in the Islamic scripts.
While a date hasn’t been announced yet, Dubai officials have said entry to the park will be free.
Among the prominent features of the park are a Cave of Miracles and the Glass House.
Dawood Abdul Rahman Al Hajiri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, was quoted as saying by Gulf News: “Among the most important elements of the project is the Glass House containing the plants mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, which grow under certain temperatures and special environmental determinants, as well as shops selling herbs and plants mentioned in the Quran.”
The Cave of Miracles reportedly showcases seven miracles mentioned in the Quran displayed with the latest modern interactive techniques.
“The park also consists of 12 gardens containing the plants mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, with its scientific and medicinal benefits and uses, including bananas, pomegranates, olives, melons, grapes, figs, garlic, leeks, onions, corn, lentils, wheat, pond beans, ginger, tamarind, basil, pumpkins and cucumbers,” said Al Hajiri….

On the heels of Trump’s announcement of the highest level of “powerful” sanctions against Iran and that the Iran nuclear deal is off:
Local authorities in the Israeli-held Golan Heights have been ordered to “unlock and ready [bomb] shelters” in anticipation of an imminent attack.
The first media question asked after Trump’s announcement of the halt of the Iranian deal was “is the world a safer place?”
The clear and common-sense answer to that question is that the world could never be made a safer place by appeasing and kowtowing to enemies of freedom. That appeasement signals weakness to them, and enables them. No one enabled the Islamic Republic of Iran more than Barack Hussein Obama, who pumped billions into the mullahs’ coffers, enabling that rogue nation to step up its activities against Israel and other free countries.

Local authorities in the Israeli-held Golan Heights have been ordered to “unlock and ready [bomb] shelters” in anticipation of an imminent attack.
“The IDF is ready and prepared for a variety of scenarios and warns that any action against Israel will be answered with a fierce retaliation,” The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
The warning about a potential strike came just moments before US President Donald Trump unveiled his decision to pull of the Iran nuclear deal.
On Monday, Iran’s army chief of staff warned that the regime would respond to any Israeli aggression when the time is right.
“If the enemy casts a covetous eye on our interests or conducts [even] a slight act of aggression, the Islamic Republic will give an appropriate response at an appropriate time,” General Mohammad Bagheri, state media Press TV reported.
Iran has vowed to take revenge on Israel for an airstrike on one of its military bases that killed seven people in April 9.
On Sunday, Israeli defense officials warned that Iran was planning to retaliate for recent deadly airstrikes in Syria.
The IDF said its defence forces in northern Israel have been put into a state of “high preparedness”.
Footage shows troops setting up the Iron Dome, Patriot, and Arrow missile defense systems.
Residents in the Golan Heights have been ordered to listen to security instructions…..

Over a million and a half Armenians were killed. But the Turkish government has never admitted its role in the genocide, instead following the characteristic Islamic supremacist practice of denying responsibility for all wrongdoing and blaming the victims.

The ceremony to be held at Sultanahmet Square in İstanbul today (April 24) to commemorate the ones who lost their lives in the Armenian Genocide of April 24, 1915 was cancelled.
The commemoration ceremony would be held by Human Rights Association (İHD) İstanbul Branch, Commission Against Racism and Discrimination and the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement (EGAM) at 12 p.m.
İstanbul Governorship’s request that the word “genocide” be removed from the statement to be read out during the commemoration was announced as the reason for the cancellation of the ceremony.
Three people have been detained
Three members of the İHD, Jiyan Tosun, Gamze Yaman and Leman Yurtsever, who were carrying the banner, have been taken into custody.
16 members of the European Parliament and İHD İstanbul Branch executives rejected the request of İstanbul Governorship regarding the removal of the word “genocide” from the statement….

Recently three organizations, Human Rights Association (İHD) İstanbul Branch, Commission Against Racism and Discrimination, and the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement (EGAM) planned to hold a commemoration in Istanbul, honoring the victims of the Armenian Genocide of April 1915. The Turkish government, however, first demanded that the word “genocide” be removed from the statement that was going to be read out at the commemoration, and then, when this was refused, canceled the event altogether, and jailed three of its participants.
This draconian action was of a piece with the Turkish government’s longstanding and consistent denial that any genocide took place. In Ephesians 4:13 we learn that pastors and teachers are to equip the saints “until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God…” Paul admonishes believers to pursue unity in the faith. And we should have one goal — to bring glory to God.
Under no circumstances are Christians to unite in ministry with those who teach a false gospel. Yet for one reason or another, many Christians actually join hands and pray with apostates and cultists. (More on this topic here). For example, believers will partner with those who bless sexual acts forbidden by God as long as it’s for a “good cause.”
Is unity more important than theology — the study of God? Andy Stanley thinks it is, as you will see in Michael Gryboski’s piece below. But according to Tim Challies, understanding theology and doctrine is critical. He believes that Christians must “follow it, guard it, stand firm in it, and hand it on intact…not venture outside of it, for that is where faith becomes shipwrecked (1 Tim. 1:19–20).” Moreover, Christians will “resist its alternatives. They know this truth is entirely sufficient for life despite uncertainties and suffering. Later, of course, this truth was formulated into the Protestant principle of sola Scriptura.” (Source)
So, what should Christians be doing? Going about our business of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to any and all we encounter.
With this in mind, check out Gryboski’s report over at Christian Post, a site we do not endorse. He writes:
Church unity is more important than “theological correctness,” according to North Point Community Church Senior Pastor Andy Stanley at a conference with approximately 8,000 attendees.
At the Orange Conference, which focuses on issues of church leadership, Stanley spoke on Thursday about the importance of Christians of different denominations being “one” in their mission.
Stanley centered on John 17, in which Jesus prayed that His followers “may be one as we are one — I in them and you in me — so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
The influential author and speaker said that he found it significant that Jesus prayed for the disciples to be one, rather than for other things, including good health and being theologically accurate.
“He prayed for our oneness, that we’d be on the same page,” said Stanley. “This is mission critical. If they are not one, we will not win … unity is mission critical and disunity disrupts the mission.”
Stanley spoke of how he came to believe that believing in Jesus Christ was more important than theological arguments like how communion should be served or if babies should be baptized.
“Will we prioritize our oneness over our doctrinal peculiarities? Our baptism, our communion, our style of worship, our preaching?” he posed. Continue reading

WASHINGTON — Vice President Mike Pence, a professing evangelical, swore in openly homosexual Richard Grenell as U.S. ambassador to Germany on Thursday, with the man’s partner standing by his side.



“Ric, I know you’ve got a lot of friends from many years here, but most importantly, you’ve got people that you cherish, and your family. I want to acknowledge your mother Judi, who’s with us today; your brothers, Jeff and Brad; your partner, Matt Lashey; and his parents, Dave and Nancy; and many others,” he said.



Lashey held the Bible while Grenell placed his hand upon it and repeated the oath, ending with “so help me God.”



Pence praised Grenell prior to administering the oath, which he said was his “great honor,” and told those gathered that President Trump also thinks highly of him.



“Those of you may have noticed that on his first day in the job, he joined President Trump and myself to welcome German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the White House for discussions on strengthening the historic partnership between our two nations,” he said.



“On that day, President Trump called you an ‘outstanding man,’ who will do a great job as our ambassador to Germany. And everyone gathered here, and people across this country, share that confidence and conviction,” Pence stated.



Grenell, formerly a U.N. spokesman and spokesman for 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, also delivered brief remarks, thanking the Trump administration for having faith in him, and acknowledging his mother and partner.



“Obviously, I have to thank my mom, who has been a great support through this whole time, and of course, Matt, who is—as everybody knows, if you know him–the world’s greatest person. So thank you for all of your support,” he said.



“Thank you, Mr. Vice President, and thank you, President Trump, for the faith that you both have put in me,” Grenell continued. “I will not let you down. And I’m ready to work hard.”




As previously reported, while a number of homosexual advocates have been opposed to Pence in claiming that he is anti-homosexual, Pence defended the Trump administration in February 2017 in its decision to retain an Obama-era order banning groups that contract with the federal government from “discriminating” against homosexuals and transgenders in their business or non-profit organization.



“I think throughout the campaign, President Trump made it clear that discrimination would have no place in our administration,” Pence said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week,” according to a transcript of the discussion. “He was the very first Republican nominee to mention the LGBTQ community at our Republican National Convention and was applauded for it. And I was there applauding with him.”



He also rejected reports about his beliefs regarding “conversion therapy” as being “fake news” this past February, as he cheered openly homosexual figure skater Adam Rippon in his Olympic quest.



“@Adaripp I want you to know we are FOR YOU,” he wrote (caps in original.) “Don’t let fake news distract you. I am proud of you and ALL OF OUR GREAT athletes and my only hope for you and all of #TeamUSA is to bring home the gold. Go get ‘em!”




Proverbs 14:34 states, “Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”



Proverbs 28:4 also says, “They that forsake the Law praise the wicked, but such as keep the Law contend with them.”

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Senate has advanced a bill that would require public schools to teach children about homosexuals and transgenders in national and state history. The legislation is opposed by at least one family group in the state.
S.B. 3249 cleared the Senate 34-18 on Wednesday, and now moves to the House for consideration.
“In public schools only, the teaching of history shall include a study of the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this state,” the bill reads.
It also states that “[t]extbooks authorized to be purchased … must include the roles and contributions of all people protected under the Illinois Human Rights Act.”
Sen. Heather Steans, D-Chicago, who sponsored the legislation, told reporters that she believes the requirement would teach students to be more accepting of homosexuals and transgenders.
“By teaching students an inclusive curriculum, Illinois classrooms will promote acceptance and a more accurate portrayal of history,” she told the State Journal-Register. “LGBT students also will learn about people who had some similar qualities to them and became historical role models.”
However, the Illinois Family Institute says that while students should be taught to be respectful to others, public schools shouldn’t be normalizing certain lifestyles in children’s minds contrary to their family’s values.
“It is well known that the controversies of the transgender and homosexual movements are in direct contradiction to the clear Judeo-Christian beliefs of many in Illinois,” Ralph Rivera wrote to legislators. “Schools should teach that we should be respectful of each student and each person. This is what we all agree on. However, schools should not be used to advocate for lifestyles that are against the religious values of the students and parents.”
“The left’s motive is what it always is: It is to normalize homosexuality,” spokeswoman Laurie Higgins also told the Associated Press.
If passed, Illinois would be the second state to require schools to include homosexual history in their curriculum. California signed the Fair Education Act into law in 2012.
Some Christians believe that ongoing concerns in public schools serve as all the more reason for parents to homeschool.
“Throughout Israel’s history, God ordained that thousands upon thousands of Israelite parents teach their children at home in Israel. The only time that did not happen was when they had no choice and their children were taken from them,” wrote Matthew and Ellen Gerwitz in 2014 on the “IndoctriNation” film website.
“Education is just one tool in the hands of the Creator who ultimately decides the direction every life will take. Parents who voluntarily choose to allow Egypt or Babylon to educate their children when they still have the freedom to educate them according to God’s mandate are without excuse,” they said.
