BY THIS EXECUTIVE ORDER: TRUMP CALLS FOR GUN CONFISCATIONS, THEN DUE PROCESS!?~WITCH DIANNE FEINSTEIN ERUPTS WITH GLEE AFTER TRUMP SEEMS TO ENDORSE HER BILL
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:
But what Trump said yesterday truly was scary — terrifying is a better word.
“Take
the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said in a meeting
with GOP leaders and anti-gun activists including Dianne Feinstein, who
was cheering him on from the sidelines.
As reported ,
“President Trump on Wednesday voiced support for confiscating guns from
certain individuals deemed to be dangerous, even if it violates due
process rights.”
“I like taking the guns early … to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said.
Even
Vice President Mike Pence tried to reign the President in, suggesting
he respect due process and the Second Amendment. But Trump would have
none of that:
“Or, Mike, take the firearms first, and then go to court,” Trump responded.
Newsflash: Confiscating guns before due process destroys due process. There is no going through “due process second.”
Every person reading this, regardless of party affiliation, should be very frightened.
Now, Trump says stupid things all the time. So what?
Here’s what: Ideas have consequences.
Trump Calls for Gun Confiscations
If
Trump, as Commander-in-Chief, decides to act on his totalitarian
beliefs and go for people’s guns without court orders, then he will
officially establish himself as a dictator and tyrant.
Right now,
it’s up to congress to fulfill its duty as a check and balance against
this federal threat by refusing to send any gun control to Trump’s desk
for signature (for he will gladly sign it) — OR actively stopping Trump from using Executive Orders to activate the military or police to begin knocking on doors.
In
fact, this is the whole point of separation of powers — to stop any
future authoritarians from crushing the rights of the citizens.
Unfortunately, that future has apparently arrived early.
The really chilling aspect of all of this is, Who gets to decide who is deemed too “dangerous” to own guns?
How about disgruntled ex-wives and ex-girlfriends calling in to “report” you to the authorities?
Or what if someone — anyone — has a grudge against you and provides a “tip” that you’re a “dangerous” person?
There
will literally be nothing to protect you as a lawful gun owner from
these baseless accusations. Trump’s America will become a
guilty-until-proven-innocent hell on earth that no one will be able to
stop … certainly not our impotent, bought-and-paid-for congress.
And
what about due process coming “second,” as they’re trying to claim …
AFTER your guns are taken away? Will you be able to afford the time off
work and hundreds of thousands of dollars of legal expenses to fight to
get your rights returned to you?
As a reminder, this all began
last week when President Trump opened the floodgates on gun control,
urging GOP leaders in congress to ban certain gun parts and “enhance”
the so-called background check following the most recent school shooting
in a Gun Free Zone.
WGO warned that Senate Majority Whip John
Cornyn was trying to ram his “common sense” gun control package through,
beefing up the National Instant Check System so it would deny your
right to buy a gun for completely arbitrary reasons based on phony
science and so-called “mental illness.”
These control freaks are trying to punish gun owners for the criminal acts of others.
The big unknown still is whether Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson and House Speaker Paul Ryan will stand their ground.
Just how bad is the situation?
Trump
declared: “I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks
with an emphasis on Mental Health. Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump
Stocks!”
And according to a Feb. 15, 2018 story (Paul
Ryan on Florida Shooting) in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Ryan was
confronted by reporters about making the background check system more
powerful and seems to be conceding.
“He added that
Congress may need to take action to make sure people with mental
illnesses don’t ‘slip through the cracks’ and get guns,” reported the
Sentinel.
“If there are gaps there, then we need to look at those gaps,” Ryan said.
In other words, Paul Ryan is keeping the door open for more gun control.
ACTION:
1.
Call Sen. Ron Johnson and Rep. Paul Ryan and urge NO GUN CONTROL – and
to stand strongly in opposition to Trump’s calls for trashing due
process and the Second Amendment.
- Call Ron Johnson at 202-224-5323 or email him here
- Call Paul Ryan at 202-225-3031 or email him here
2. Call the White House and politely inform them that Trump has lost the support of gun owners. That’s all you need to say.
- Call Trump at 202-456-1111 or e-mail him here
Please take this seriously.
Thank you,
P.S.- President
Trump is demanding national gun confiscations — targeting people deemed
too “dangerous” to have guns … but deemed too dangerous by whom? Please
contact Sen. Johnson and Rep. Ryan at the numbers above. They must
oppose Trump’s dangerous calls for gun confiscations and stand for due
process.
About Wisconsin Gun Owners:
WGO
works for grassroots gun owners, not politicians. While many gun
lobbies fight for “reasonable gun control,” WGO sets a higher standard:
Defining the terrain of pro-gun political battle. Sure, many groups
claim they’re “pro-gun” – all the while they provide cover for anti-gun
deals cut by politicians – but only WGO truly informs gun owners,
remaining committed to a 100% pro-gun position. We oppose all gun
control – regardless of the political party – and work tirelessly to
restore the Second Amendment. Visit www.wisconsingunowners.org

Major Federal Gun-Control Bills Are Coming,
Thanks to Trump
Virginia – -(Ammoland.com)- Get ready for a significant fight for our rights. We need to get the “no more gun control” message to the president.
I
hope that Sarah Huckabee-Sanders has a good pair of tennis shoes on
because she’s not going to just be walking back things President Trump
said in a meeting with lawmakers yesterday, she’s going to be running
them back.
The Back of New Jersey’s flimsy paper Firearms ID Card. For those who can’t get one.Besides
seeming to be open to all kinds of gun-control schemes, the President
also said the police should have confiscated the Florida mass-murderer’s
guns regardless of whether they could have done so legally or not! He
was supportive of the Emergency Firearms Restraining Order concept and
accurately said that it allows guns to be confiscated first and the gun
owner to have due process later. He was also open to the idea of a
Firearms Owner ID card, such as they have in Illinois and New Jersey[if
you can get one], where you need such a card to buy a gun either from a
dealer or privately.
Trump said he would do an executive order to
ban bump stocks, but I don’t think that order will stand a legal
challenge if he does.
On the positive side, Trump did continue to push hard to end gun-free zones.
Action Item For President Trump
I suggest we contact the President for the next few days to voice a POLITE, but FIRM opposition to gun control.
Here
are some suggested things to leave as a voice message (202-456-1111),
to tweet to @realdonaldtrump, or to post on the White House contact web
page: whitehouse.gov/contact/
- Taking away someone’s gun and
then giving them due process is like waiting until the barn has burned
down before letting the horses out! - The original assault weapon ban was in place for years when the Columbine massacre happened in 1999. Total failure
- 32 people were murdered at Virginia Tech with a handgun, not a rifle.
- Murder capital Chicago has Universal Background Checks and Firearms Owner ID cards. No thanks.
- If a person isn’t mature enough to purchase an AR-15, then he isn’t mature enough to fight and die for our country or to vote
- Criminals will obey the law on the 10-round magazine-size just like they obey our drug laws
- No more gun control. None.
Our *Full* Focus Has To Shift To Congress And It Will Soon
This
is a serious situation. The gun-controllers have handed Trump their
wishlist, and most of it is coming our way if we don’t fight back hard!
We MUST focus on Congress to stop that wishlist from becoming a reality.
Wherever you look, Bloomberg’s fingerprints are all over these attempts to pass “universal” background checks. Here’s what’s on the list:
- An “assault weapon” ban
- A ban on magazines that will hold more than ten rounds
- Universal Background Checks – the “Manchin-Toomey” bill from a few years ago
- Emergency
Firearms Protection Order, which allows the confiscation of someone’s
firearm NOW (probably done at gunpoint), based merely on a sworn
statement that the person is a danger to himself or others, and LATER
they get their due process (gee, thanks) - A person must be 21 to be able to purchase a rifle
- “Fix NICS,” which allows a government bureaucrat to delve into your medical history as far back, and as deeply, as they wish
- Firearms Owner Identification Card is required to be presented for the purchase of a firearm, including for private sales
- Gun
sales denied for anyone on the Terrorist Watch List. You can be put on
the Watch List without due process by some nameless bureaucrat
How We Are Going To Fight Back
- Trump
wants one comprehensive bill in each House with all the above gun
control in it. That’s good for us. The more items that are in a massive
bill like that, the more legislators will see something they don’t like
and will vote against the bill. Even many Democrats are going to walk
away from that monster. Those two comprehensive bills have not been
introduced yet because it will take up to a week for them to be drafted.
As soon as the bills appear, we will analyze them and put an URGENT
ACTION ITEM out for everyone to contact Congress in opposition. - It
is possible that some of the gun control items could be added to an
omnibus appropriations bill as amendments. We will be looking out for
that and will advise with an URGENT ACTION ITEM if so.

Trump expressed a strong preference for the
confiscation of firearms without due process, and a willingness to set
aside priority legislation to protect law-abiding American gun owners,
like carry reciprocity. “Or, Mike, take the firearms first, and then go
to court,” President Trump said in response to statements by Vice
President Mike Pence. “It takes so long to go to court to get the due
process procedures, I like taking the guns early. Take the guns first,
go through due process second.”
But civil rights
advocates said that such a confiscation scheme would be
unconstitutional. “The Constitution was expressly designed to prevent
the government from acting in a way that puts its interests first and
the fundamental rights of people second,” said FPC Legislative Advocate
and Spokesperson Craig DeLuz. “The government doesn’t get to go around
taking away peoples’ rights and property, and then going to court to
present its case if it feels like it.”
FPC has
consistently opposed “no fly, no buy” legislation that would prohibit
people from accessing and exercising their constitutional rights based
on secret government watch lists.
“We wonder if
President Trump would like a policy of ‘impeachment first, due process
second’,” remarked FPC Legislative Advocate Philip Watson.
“Constitutional rules and safeguards are there for a reason—even, and
especially, when they are inconvenient to the government and its policy
preferences.”
“The dangerous anti-gun, anti-due process garbage
coming out of D.C. is why we fight for individual liberty and
constitutional principles rather than parties or candidates,” said FPC
Grassroots Director Richard Thomson. “President Trump and Congress need
to stop talking about passing more burdensome gun control laws and start
working to pass common-sense legislation to protect and advance the
right to keep and bear arms.”
“The fundamental, individual human
right to keep and bear arms for self-defense is not up for debate,” said
FPC President Brandon Combs. “We reject the idea that law-abiding gun
owners must suffer for the depraved acts of evil and insane people that a
massive federal government and Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel
failed to stop in the first place.
“The bottom line is that no
amount of gun control can overcome a persistently and unacceptably
incompetent government that fails to do its job. As Supreme Court
Justice Alito recently warned, the government is clearly ‘more concerned
about disarming the people than about keeping them safe,’” Combs
concluded.
In a recent statement, FPC said that if Republicans
enact gun control, “they will have shown the voters that neither major
political party cares about their rights or the Constitution—and that
the only real, civil option left is a new constitutional amendment.”
Trump is also pushing for FPC-opposed legislation that would raise the federal gun buying age to 21.
