IN BLOW TO ESTABLISHMENT, ALABAMA’S JUDGE MOORE DEFEATS STRANGE

In what is being widely described as a harbinger of more upcoming
victories for anti-establishment conservatives, Christians, and
constitutionalists, the enormously popular Judge Roy Moore dealt a
crushing blow to the establishment and its chosen candidate in the race
to represent Alabama in the U.S. Senate. With about half of the votes
counted, Moore won Tuesday’s Republian primary runoff election with
massive margins. “Because of you, tonight, the establishment has been
DEFEATED in Alabama!” Moore tweeted. His opponent, Senator Luther
Strange, conceded the race before 9 pm Central Time, sparking
celebrations by patriots and conservatives all across America.

While establishment candidate and incumbent Luther Strange had the
full backing of the “Swamp” in Washington, D.C. — and many millions of
swamp dollars to prop up his campaign and demonize Moore — the people of
Alabama ultimately sided with Moore.
The victory was not unexpected,
with every poll showing the anti-establishment Moore with a significant
lead. But with warnings from conservatives about potential dirty tricks
by the establishment, the formal win was a relief and a cause for
celebration for patriots across America. Establishment operatives
everywhere are said to be very concerned, with establishment-minded
incumbents in Congress and state legislatures at risk of being the next
ones to be replaced by increasingly
aware voters.

In a statement, Strange graciously congratulated Moore. “From the
beginning of this campaign, my priority has been serving the people of
Alabama,” he said. “Tomorrow I will go back to work with President Trump
and do all I can to advance his agenda over the next few weeks…. I
congratulate Roy Moore on the result this evening. May God be with him
and may God continue to bless Alabama and the United States of
America.”

The establishment spent many millions of dollars trying to sink
Moore. But the people of Alabama have grown to love and respect him over
the decades. Indeed, as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court,
Moore gained the respect of Christians, conservatives, Tea Partiers,
patriots, pro-family forces, constitutionalists, and others all across
America. He did that by standing up for God and the Constitution against
outrageous federal court rulings — twice — despite enormous personal
cost to himself.

In the first historic case, Moore refused to take down a monument of
the Ten Commandments. For that, he was ultimately removed from his post
in a farcical proceeding by anti-Christian extremists and federal
supremacists. Voters eventually sent him back for another term. And
again, Moore was persecuted, this time for standing for the Constitution and marriage — and standing against lawless and anti-constitutional legislating by the U.S. Supreme Court in the Obergefell
ruling, which purported to invent a “right” to a “homosexual marriage”
that more than eight in 10 Alabama voters rejected at the ballot box.
And now, it is again Moore who is having the last laugh.

President Donald Trump halfheartedly waded into the race to back
Strange. It began with a tweet endorsing Strange. Under enormous
pressure from GOP leaders in Congress and especially Senate Majority
Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), whose name is increasingly toxic among
grassroots conservatives fed up with the establishment, Trump even
visited Alabama last week to campaign for the incumbent. However, even
the president himself, worried that his candidate might lose, admitted
on stage that he “might have made a mistake” by endorsing Strange.

If Moore won the runoff, Trump said, he would support Moore’s
campaign in the upcoming general election against the Democrat
candidate. “I have to say this, if his opponent wins, I’m going to be
here campaigning like hell for him,” Trump said about the judge. But
even on Tuesday morning, the day of the vote, Trump sent out a Tweet
urging Alabama voters to vote for “Big Luther.” Ironically, many of
Trump’s own people in Alabama voted for Moore. Still, even among the
most die-hard Trump fans, Moore’s victory is being touted as a major win
for what has come to be known as “Trumpism.”

With Trump’s apparent blessing, even some of the president’s most
loyal supporters — including his former Chief Strategist Steve Bannon of
Breitbart, and U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben
Carson — threw their weight behind Moore as well. At a campaign stop,
Bannon said Moore would be more aligned with Trump’s “populist” agenda,
telling voters that Alabama could show the world “that this populist,
nationalist, conservative movement is on the rise.” “A vote for Judge
Roy Moore is a vote for Donald J. Trump,” Bannon told enthusiastic
supporters in Alabama. Another Trump loyalist, liberty-minded U.K.
leader Nigel Farage, who helped lead his own nation to voting in favor
of independence from the autocratic European Union, also campaigned for
Moore.

Before the vote, a number of prominent voices warned that the
establishment might resort to dirty tricks to keep a committed Christian
and firm constitutionalist out of the U.S. Senate. For example,
spokesman Rob Chambers for the American Family Association’s political
arm, known as AFA Action, which endorsed Moore, warned that
“establishment” Republicans could attempt a repeat of the 2014 tactics
used in Mississippi.

The situation there was similar, with the establishment desperate to
defeat true conservative State Senator Chris McDaniel in favor of “RINO”
U.S. Senator Thad Cochran. In that incident, which sparked outrage
among grassroots conservatives across the state and nationwide, GOP establishment figures paid Democrat leaders to urge Democrats to vote for Cochran.
They even used blatant lies to scare Democrats into voting in the GOP
primary against the conservative candidate. Whether elements of the GOP
establishment will be willing to side with Democrats in Alabama to keep a
true conservative out of the Senate remains to be seen.

In an example of the dishonesty that has marked the establishment’s
vicious campaign against Moore, one of the more recent attacks suggested
he was not as tough as he should be on gun rights. Of course, Moore has
never shown any indication of being soft on gun rights or any other
God-given liberties enshrined in the Constitution. But to prove his
commitment, at one of his final campaign rallies, Moore literally
whipped out his personal pistol on stage, making headlines from shocked
anti-gun activists pretending to be unbiased journalists.

In an interview with The New American last month, Moore made
clear that he would be working to preserve and protect the whole
Constitution upon arrival in Washington. “I know a little bit about the
Constitution, and I know that the federal government is not following
the Constitution,” said the judge, who graduated from the prestigious
West Point Military Academy and served in Vietnam. “People don’t even
regard it, generally, in Washington, D.C., but I think it needs to be
brought back.”

And unlike many politicians who talk like constitutionalists on the
campaign trail but then vote like they never read the document once they
are in office, Moore has a track record to prove his constitutional
fidelity — and he has endured very serious consequences for standing on
principle. Quoting the Constitution, speeches from the founders, and
Bible verses from memory, Moore said one key part of his agenda would be
reining in the federal courts and their unconstitutional decisions.

“Judges who put themselves above the Constitution are putting
themselves above the law and should be impeached by the Congress and
removed by the Senate,” he said. In addition to impeachment, Congress
has the power to rein in the courts under Article 3, Section 2 of the
Constitution, which allows lawmakers to change the jurisdiction of the
federal courts, Moore explained. Finally, every federal district and
appellate court “serves at the pleasure of Congress,” he added, again
citing the plain language of the U.S. Constitution.

By contrast, among the major problems with Strange was his lack of
fidelity to the U.S. Constitution he promised, with his hand on the
Bible, to uphold and defend. During his brief time in the Senate, where
he was appointed by a scandal-plagued governor who has since resigned,
Senator Strange earned a measly 57 percent on The New American‘s Freedom Index, which ranks lawmakers based on the constitutionality of their voting records.

Over that period, senators who take their oath of office to the
Constitution seriously did far better. Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), for
instance, earned a perfect 100 percent, while Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah)
received a 90 percent. For perspective, Strange scored worse than even
neoconservative Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C) and only slightly better
than ObamaCare savior John McCain of Arizona, both of whom are widely
criticized by grassroots conservatives as Republicans in Name Only
(RINOs). Representative Brooks of Alabama, who also ran for the Senate
seat but ended up endorsing Moore, has a 74 percent over his
congressional career and a 78 in the most recent period.

This is a crucial time in American history, Moore continued in the
interview. “Our country is in crisis right now,” said Moore, who has
four children and five grandchildren. “In 1776, Thomas Paine wrote these
are the times that try men’s souls. I believe these are not only times
that try men’s souls, but the soul of our nation as well. The people
know what I stand for, they know what I’ll do, and they know that I’ll
stand on the principles upon which our nation was founded. All the
money, power, and prestige in Washington, and the folks there, can’t
change the facts of how my opponent got appointed to the job, nor can
they change the fact that the people of the great state of Alabama will
elect the next senator for the United States Congress.”

With the primary and the run-off out of the way, the next step is the
general election. Moore will face off against Democrat Doug Jones, a
former U.S. attorney during President Bill Clinton’s time in the White
House. Alabama is among the most conservative states in America, though,
and the winner of the GOP runoff has been almost universally regarded
as a shoo-in for the general election. The final vote to decide who will
represent Alabama in the U.S. Senate will take place on December 12.

‘Ten Commandments Judge’ Roy Moore Wins Alabama Primary Runoff for U.S. Senate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Former Alabama Supreme Court
Justice Roy Moore, also known as the “Ten Commandments Judge,” has won
the state primary runoff for the U.S. Senate, significantly defeating
his opponent Luther Strange despite President Trump’s endorsement of
Strange.

As of press time, with 92 percent of precincts reporting, Moore had
obtained 54 percent of the vote versus 45 percent for Strange.

Strange has conceded the race, remarking in a statement, “I
congratulate Roy Moore on the result this evening. May God be with him
and may God continue to bless Alabama and the United States of America.”

He also thanked President Trump and Vice President Pence for their support.

Trump himself congratulated Moore upon learning the results of the
race, tweeting, “Congratulations to Roy Moore on his Republican Primary
win in Alabama. Luther Strange started way back & ran a good race.
Roy, WIN in Dec!”

Moore, while thanking his supporters Tuesday night, also gave thanks
foremost to God, noting that he never prayed to God to win, but rather
asked that the Lord’s will would be done. He said that it is not good
for a man to think that he won on his own, and noted that losing is
sometimes good for a person.

“[T]here’s nothing too great for God. For one day every valley shall
be exalted, and every mountain or hill shall be made low. The crooked
shall be made straight, and the rough places plain. And the glory of the
Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together, for the
mouth of the Lord has spoken it,” Moore said, quoting from the book of
Isaiah.

“We’re put here on earth for a short time, and for that short time,
our duty is to serve Almighty God and serve Him in all things,” he also
declared. “[W]e have to return the knowledge of God and the Constitution
of the United States to the United States Congress.”

Moore lamented the division that is sweeping America, but expressed
optimism that God can restore the country to its former “greatness.”

“This is a time for victory. It’s a time to remember the struggles
we’ve gone through. But it’s also a time to rededicate our lives to God,
and to our Constitution and to our country, [and] to our families,” he
said.

Moore generated widespread support from evangelicals both statewide
and nationwide, including James Dobson of Focus on the Family and
Franklin Graham of Samaritan’s Purse. Several former White House cabinet
members also appeared at Moore’s rallies, including Sebastian Gorka, an
intelligence analyst who served as an advisor to President Trump, and
former Chief of Staff Steve Bannon.

As previously reported, Moore is known as the “Ten Commandments
Judge” as he was ousted from the Alabama Supreme Court in 2003
following a battle over a Ten Commandments monument he had erected in
the high court’s rotunda.

He was reelected by the people in 2012 as chief justice, but the Alabama Court of the Judiciary suspended him again last
year following a trial over a memo he released in 2016, advising that
his colleagues had not reversed a decision prohibiting probate judges
from issuing marriage licenses to homosexuals as per the Alabama
Constitution. After the suspension was upheld in April, Moore resigned and soon announced his run for U.S. Senate.

TRUMP ANNOUNCES HISTORIC TAX PLAN~PROCLAIMS NEW TRAVEL BAN, ADDS THREE NEW COUNTRIES, INCLUDING NORTH KOREA

Trump Proclaims New Travel Ban, Adds Three New Countries, Including North Korea

BY WARREN MASS
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

On September 24, just hours before his previous travel ban was set to
expire, President Trump signed a proclamation limiting the immigrant
and non-immigrant entry into the United States from eight countries.
Trump’s proclamation continues the ban on immigration from five of the
six countries in the previous ban: Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and
Somalia. It also adds three new countries to the list: Chad, North
Korea, and Venezuela. The proclamation also drops one country previously
named — Sudan.
Furthermore, it relaxes restrictions for non-immigrant
visitors from Somalia, as well as students and other exchange visitors
from Iran.
Trump said about his new proclamation:

Following an extensive review by the
Department of Homeland Security, we are taking action today to protect
the safety and security of the American people by establishing a minimum
security baseline for entry into the United States. We cannot afford to
continue the failed policies of the past, which present an unacceptable
danger to our country. My highest obligation is to ensure the safety
and security of the American people, and in issuing this new travel
order, I am fulfilling that sacred obligation.

NPR reported that the new restrictions on Chad and North Korea are a
broad ban on nationals from those countries entering the United States.
However, the restrictions for Venezuela apply only to government
officials and their immediate families.
These changes are set to take effect on October 18, though the
restrictions on Sudan will be lifted immediately, as a result of
security baselines established by the Trump administration.
However, noted the White House statement, the travel restrictions are
not necessarily permanent and a nation can get off the list by making
necessary changes to eliminate the administration’s security concerns:
“These limitations and restrictions are conditional, and these countries
can, under this Executive action, improve their information-sharing
practices and receive relief from the limitations and restrictions.”
A statement posted on the White House website on September 24
explained the latest proclamation, noting, “This action to protect our
national security builds on Executive Order 13780, which President Trump
signed in March.”

In a March article, we reported
that President Trump had signed an executive order on March 6 “to
protect the Nation from terrorist activities by foreign nationals
admitted to the United States,” but that the order differed from an
earlier order restricting travel to the United States that Trump had
signed on January 27. The reason for the revised order was that on
January 28, a U.S. District judge of the Eastern District of New York
ruled in favor of a petition filed by the American Civil Liberties Union
(ACLU) on behalf of two Iraqi men who were detained at John F. Kennedy
International Airport, thus blocking the order. Subsequently, judges in
other federal district courts in Massachusetts, Virginia, and Washington
issued similar rulings.
Most of the arguments made by the judges blocking Trump’s order
asserted that the order amounted to a ban on Muslims entering the
country. The revised order removed some language favorable to Christian
refugees, but even these changes were not enough to satisfy those
determined to stop the order.
Just hours before an amended version of the ban was scheduled to take
effect, Judge Derrick K. Watson of the Federal District Court in
Honolulu granted a temporary restraining order enjoining the Trump
administration executive branch from enforcing or implementing two key
sections of the order across the nation. The objection to Trump’s travel
ban most frequently cited by Watson and U.S. District Judge Theodore D.
Chuang in Maryland (another judge who issued a ruling last March
blocking sections of Trump’s executive order) was that the order
amounted to a ban on Muslims entering the United States. The judges made
numerous references to Trump’s alleged anti-Muslim bias in their
respective decisions to block the order.
However, the critics of Trump’s 90-day ban on entry into the United
States from six predominantly Muslim countries — Libya, Somalia, Sudan,
Syria, Yemen, and Iran (Iraq was included in the original January
executive order) — did not mention that that particular group of
countries originates with H.R. 158, the Visa Waiver Program Improvement
and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015, signed into law by former
President Obama on December 18, 2015, as part of the Omnibus
Appropriations Act of FY2016.
A prolonged battle through the courts followed, with the case
eventually reaching the Supreme Court. On the last day of the 2016-2017
term on June 26, the High Court granted most of the Trump
administration’s emergency request to put the president’s March 6 travel
ban executive order into place. However, Judge Watson persisted and on
July 13 imposed his own interpretation of the Supreme Court’s June 26
ruling. The Appeals Court for the Ninth Circuit upheld Watson on
September 7 and said that the Trump administration cannot ban
grandparents and other family members of citizens and legal residents
from coming to the United States from the six countries named in Trump’s
March 6 executive order.
But four days later, Supreme Court Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy
issued an order in favor of the administration and stayed the appeals
court’s September 7 ruling. The matter will be ultimately decided when
the Supreme Court hears arguments on the merits of the executive order
in October. But since the original order has now expired, the Court will
now have to consider the new order. It would be surprising if one or
more liberal federal judges does not issue a ruling blocking the new
proclamation between now and October.

ECUMENIST RICK WARREN HOPES HIS PARTNERSHIP WITH ROMAN CATHOLIC LEADER WILL BECOME “MODEL” FOR THE WORLD

RICK WARREN HOPES HIS PARTNERSHIP WITH ROMAN CATHOLIC LEADER WILL BECOME
“MODEL” FOR THE WORLD
BY HEATHER CLARK

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Megachurch leader Rick Warren,
known for his best-selling book “The Purpose-Driven Life,” said in a
recent interview that he hopes his partnership with a local Roman
Catholic leader to collaboratively combat social ills becomes a “model”
for others around the world. His remarks have drawn disagreement from
those who believe that ecumenism with those who preach another gospel is
unbiblical.

The Roman Catholic site Crux published the interview,
which featured both Warren and friend Kevin Vann of the Diocese of
Orange, on Sept. 14. They were asked by interviewer and diocese
Chancellor Pia de Solenni to share about how their friendship formed and
developed.

Vann recalled that Warren attended his installation as the bishop of
Orange and also called to congratulate him. The two continued to
communicate and soon also began praying together.

“One way we stay in touch is by texting personal prayer requests to
each other,” Warren explained. “When my youngest son died in April 2013,
I knew Kevin was praying for me, and when his father died in November
2014, I was praying for him. Sharing pain and grief brought us closer.”

Not only did Warren and Vann pray together, but “brainstorming
meetings between [their] two staffs” about the issue of mental
illness—in light of Matthew Warren’s suicide—led to the formation of a
joint conference and other efforts to address mental health.

“Out of these discussions about working together, the Diocese of
Orange and Saddleback church decided to partner in sponsoring two
gatherings, or symposia, on what should be the Church’s response to
mental illness,” Vann explained.

“[O]ut of Matthew’s death came a partnership in creating a conference
to help others, and also a number of other mental health initiatives,”
Warren added. “It also brought Catholics and Evangelicals together as I,
and our church, received many letters of comfort from Catholic priests
and parishioners.”

Vann noted that the two have worked together on other projects as
well, including jointly expressing their opposition to
physician-assisted suicide. Warren noted that he also organized a
retreat in which priests and pastors cooperatively strategized how
churches can be the face of love in the midst of the blot of racism.

“So really, our friendship began with heart-to-heart praying
together, but then it grew into working hand-in-hand together on
projects where Christians can offer a compassionate response to those in
need, and also stand together with clear and united voice in opposing
evil,” he further outlined.

Vann and Warren agreed that the world is a better place when
Evangelicals and Catholics work together to address societal issues.

“We’ve seen first-hand that much good can be accomplished for the
Kingdom of God by Catholics and Evangelicals being present to one
another, praying for each other, and ministering to our communities
together,” Vann said.

“If
unbelievers like what they see, they will listen to what we say,”
Warren also remarked. “Consider this: about 25 percent of Americans are
Catholic Christians, and another 25 percent are Evangelical Christians.
That’s about half of America! If just these two groups were committed to
modeling the love of Christ together, imagine all the good that could
happen!”

“Our prayer is that Orange County might be a model for others around the world,” he said.

Warren shared the article on Twitter, writing, “If you love Jesus, we may serve on different teams, but we’re in the same league of receiving His grace and forgiveness.”

His post generated mixed response, with some commenting in favor
of the partnership and others expressing that ecumenism with those who
do not adhere to biblical orthodoxy is verboten.

“Yes pastor! I am happy because Jesus is uniting us,” one commenter wrote.

“How do you explain the Counsel of Trent placing an anathema on those
who believe that justification is by faith alone?” another asked.

John Fallahee of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries and
adjunct faculty at Knox Theological Seminary told Christian News Network
that the gospel is the only means by which the evils of the world can
be addressed, as it is the power of God to save and transform. However,
since Catholics preach a different gospel/adhere to erring doctrines as
to how men may be saved, how “[c]an two walk together except they be
agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

“Jesus Christ’s perfect, once for all sacrifice for sin on the cross
and resurrection from the dead three days later (John 19:16–20:29),
proves there is no other message or means to address sin and evil in
this world,” he explained. “This is why Paul proclaims, “For I am not
ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to
everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek” (Romans
1:16).”

Fallahee“[But]
the false and fatal gospel of the Roman Catholic Church is a different
gospel than Jesus Christ and the apostles,” Fallahee continued.
“Furthermore, the Roman Catholic Church condemns anyone who believes you
are saved by faith apart from works (Trent, Session 6, On
Justification, Canon 9, 12, 14, 15). They condemn anyone who denies the
necessity of the sacraments (Trent, Session 7, Concerning the
Sacraments, Canon 4). And they condemn anyone who denies the eucharistic
sacrifice remits sins (Trent, Session 13, Concerning the Eucharist,
Canon 5).”

He noted that Jude, in observing false teachings creeping into the
Church, instructed the Christians of his day to “contend earnestly for
the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints” (Jude
1:3-4). Likewise, Fallahee explained, those in our day who mistakenly
think that Christianity can be compromised for the sake of unity do not
truly understand the necessity of the purity of the gospel that saves
souls.

“If anyone puts forward a lesser ‘light,’ like the ‘picture of
unity,’ they prove they do not understand the primacy and power of the
gospel of Christ to change a sinner, like Saul into the Apostle Paul,
and the ‘such were some of you’ mentioned in 1 Corinthians 6:9–11,” he
outlined.

“Since there is only one authorized gospel from Jesus Christ (Matthew
28:16–20) and all other gospels preached are forbidden and cursed
(Galatians 1:6-9), there can be no genuine unity when individuals do not
believe in the same gospel and the same Christ,” Fallahee stated.

EGYPT: MUSLIM EX KIDNAPPER ADMITS “THEY GET PAID FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN GIRL THEY BRING IN”

EGYPT: MUSLIM EX KIDNAPPER ADMITS “THEY GET PAID FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN GIRL THEY BRING IN”
BY ROBERT SPENCER
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

“If all goes to plan, the girls are also forced into marriage with a
strict Muslim. Their husbands don’t love them, they just marry her to
make her a Muslim. She will be hit and humiliated. And if she tries to
escape, or convert back to her original religion, she will be killed.”

Will the Islamophobia never end?

“Egypt: ex-kidnapper admits ‘they get paid for every Coptic Christian girl they bring in,’” World Watch Monitor, September 14, 2017:

“I remember a Coptic Christian girl from a rich,
well-known family in Minya. She was kidnapped by five Muslim men. They
held her in a house, stripped her and filmed her naked. In the video,
one of them also undressed. They threatened to make the video public if
the girl wouldn’t marry him.”

‘G’, an Egyptian, admits he was in a network actively targeting
Coptic girls for years before he left Islam; he says that the kidnapping
of such girls is now at an all-time high. “Salafist networks began in
the seventies and it’s reached its highest levels now, in the era of
President Sisi… A group of kidnappers meets in a mosque to discuss
potential victims. They keep a close eye on Christians’ houses and
monitor everything that’s going on. On that basis, they weave a spider’s
web around [the girls],” he says.

Strategies can be subtle. “A Muslim boy tells a Christian girl he
loves her and wants to convert to Christianity for her,” ‘G’
explains. “They start a romantic relationship until one day they decide
to ‘escape’ together. What the girls don’t know is that they are
actually being kidnapped. Most of the time they will not marry their
kidnapper, but someone else.”

Kidnapping of a minor

This summer there were two ‘kidnap’ incidents within two days.

Sixteen-year-old Marilyn was kidnapped through this ‘love’ tactic, as
her family priest, Father Boutros Khalaf, explains, when we meet in
their village, Balansora, Minya province, as her desperate parents cry
nearby. “On Wednesday evening [28 June, 2017] at 5pm, Marilyn
disappeared. Her mother searched everywhere but couldn’t find her. Some
people told us that she had been kidnapped by a young man named Taha. He
had taken her to a farm where he works,” says Fr Khalaf.

An Egyptian researcher, who wants to remain anonymous, confirmed to
World Watch Monitor over the phone: “Marilyn was seduced by a recruit of
a Salafi organisation. She was involved in a love affair; he was then
able to convince her to run away with him. Marilyn isn’t 18 yet. So even
if she had agreed to go with Taha, in our law this is clearly a case of
kidnapping a minor.”

The day before, 15-year-old Neveen Adly Beshai Sawiris was pushed
into a car with force by two men as she walked along a street in Cairo.
Her 38-year-old kidnapper later confessed he had forged her papers to
show her as an over-18 and married her.

He was charged with kidnapping a minor, forgery, and inciting sectarian strife.

Pressure to convert

‘G’, who knows the groups from the inside, says, “The kidnappers
receive large amounts of money. Police can help them in different ways,
and when they do, they might also receive a part of the financial reward
the kidnappers are paid by the Islamisation organisations. In some
cases, police provide the kidnappers with drugs they seize. The drugs
are then given to the girls to weaken their resistance as they put them
under pressure. I even know of cases in which police offered helped to
beat up the girls to make them recite the Islamic creed.

“And the value of the reward increases whenever the girl has a
position. For example, when she is the daughter of a priest or comes
from a well-known family.”

Many girls are handed over to extremists, ‘G’ explains. “The Salafist
group I knew rented apartments in different areas of Egypt to hide
kidnapped Coptic girls,” he says. “There, they put them under pressure
and threaten them to convert to Islam. And once they reach the legal
age, a specially arranged Islamic representative comes in to make the
conversion official, issue a certificate and accordingly they change
their ID.”

Marilyn’s father, Medhat Saad Edward, shares: “I filed a report in
two police stations, and I gave the names of the kidnappers and the
place where they hid my daughter. But the police haven’t arrested them.
They didn’t even get in touch with Taha’s brother, who lives in the
village and is in touch with Taha.”

“If all goes to plan, the girls are also forced into
marriage with a strict Muslim. Their husbands don’t love them, they just
marry her to make her a Muslim. She will be hit and humiliated. And if
she tries to escape, or convert back to her original religion, she will
be killed.”

Meanwhile, a Muslim girl kidnapped for ransom in Balansora around the
same time was followed by the police and released in 24 hours.

“Kidnappers of Christian girls rarely get arrested or brought to the
prosecution,” says ‘G’. “For instance, the police don’t report it as a
kidnap but say the girl ‘went missing’. This way they cover up the
crimes of those they see as their ‘Muslim brothers’.”…

ILLUMINATI WITNESS-KATY PERRY’S SATANIC DESCENT CONTINUES

ILLUMINATI WITNESS-
KATY PERRY’S SATANIC DESCENT CONTINUES
BY BEGINNING & END
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Katy Perry demonic possession | MK Ultra satanic entertainers

Katy Perry has moved from rebellion against God to attacking the Christian faith.

Beginning and End in several articles has chronicled the satanic influence and rebellion of multi-platinum selling mega pop star Katy Perry. From her casual reference to selling her soul to Satan or performances full of satanic and occult ritual,
Perry has shed any vestige of her quasi-Christian upbringing to mock
and ridicule anything related to Biblical Christianity. And her most
recent performances and speeches demonstrate, her descent has only
worsened.

Years ago Perry renounced the Christian faith: “I don’t believe in a
heaven or a hell or an old man sitting on a throne. I believe in a
higher power bigger than me because that keeps me accountable.” (source). We also covered Perry’s  2014 Grammy Awards performance in which she depicted satanic witchraft rituals on stage.

Like Miley Cyrus
and many stars before her, Perry moved from sinful rebellion, to
renouncing the Christian faith, to outright hostility towards God and
promotion of the occult. In May, Perry received a human rights award for
her support LGBQT right and used her speech as a platform to mock and
attack the Christian faith:

Katy Perry’s Witness: Satanic Symbolism Abounds

Katy Perry All-Seeing Eye Witness Album | Illuminati MK Ultra mind control in pop music

Most of Perry’s Witness album artwork focused on the Third Eye and All-Seeing Eye symbolism.

Witness, Perry’s newest album is rife with occult themes and
symbolism. A major emphasis is on the all-seeing eye or Third Eye, which
is featured in her album cover.

Manly P. Hall one of the foremost philosophers of Freemasonry and experts on occult practices wrote of the Third Eye:

“In the human brain there is a tiny gland called the
pineal body, which is the sacred eye of the ancients, and corresponds to
the third eye of the Cyclops. Little is known concerning the function
of the pineal body, which Descartes suggested (more wisely than he knew)
might be the abode of the spirit of man. As its name signifies, the
pineal gland is the sacred pine cone in man–the eye single, which cannot be opened until CHiram (the Spirit Fire) is raised through the sacred seals which are called the Seven Churches in Asia.” – Manly P. Hall, Secret Teachings of All Ages.

The significance of the eye as a symbol of humanity’s “transcendence”
or “spiritual transformation” goes all the way back to the Garden of
Eden:

“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the
field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath
God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  But
of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath
said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” – Genesis 3:1-5.

The original deceitful promise made to Eve by Satan was that if she
disobeyed The Lord and ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and
Evil, her “eyes would be opened” and she would be a “god” –
slandering The Lord by subtly implying that God was withholding divine
benefits from Adam and Eve. In listening to Satan, Adam and Eve brought
sin and spiritual death into the world. Rather than being “as gods” they
both found themselves facing their own mortality, banished from the
Garden and the Tree of Life which could have kept them alive forever.

Thousands of years later, the Devil uses the same deception to those
who dabble in or embrace the occult. The word occult means “hidden” –
and its main lure is access to spiritual powers and knowledge ordinary
people cannot perceive. The “third eye” thus is a representation of
opening oneself to the demonic and fallen angelic realm. To no surprise,
many pop culture artists, movies and clothing lines promote the All
Seeing or Third Eye repeatedly:

Katy Perry is the latest star to adopt the Ziggy Stardust persona.

Perry makes a tribute to deceased rock star David Bowie in her album art, adopting the look of his androgynous alternative persona, Ziggy Stardust. What few know about Bowie is that he was a devotee of Satanist Aleister Crowley.

The  video for Blackstar (pictured above) opens in “the Villa of Ormen.”  Ormen is a reference to the Norwegian word for serpent mentioned by Aleister Crowley
in one of his writings. Biographers of Bowie openly reference his
fascination with Crowley – from using the special tarot deck Crowley
created, practicing the occult and attempting to harness satanic powers.
On the album cover for “Station to Station”, Bowie is pictured drawing a
kabbalistic “tree of life” drawing made by Crowley.

The Ziggy Stardust character also had a lightning bolt on his face.
After His disciples marveled over their divinely-granted power to cast
out demons, The Lord Jesus Christ said: “And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” (Luke 10:18).

Lady Gaga, who also has used her music and videos to promote some of the most satanic and blasphemous imagery in music, also adopted the Ziggy Stardust homage:

Bon Appétit – Illuminati Satanic Perversion

Did Katy Perry sell her soul to the Devil | MK Ultra mind controlled demonic pop stars

Katy Perry depicted cannibalism in her video for Bon Appetit.

In her latest video, Perry promoted some of the most vile imagery
seen in pop music. In the video, Perry plays the part of a
mind-controlled entertainer who is put in a factory like setting to be
prepared as food for cannibalistic elites. This perverse, disgusting
video promotes some of the most debased “art” that is in style in
Hollywood of late – mock cannibalism.

Did Katy Perry Sell her soul to the Devil | What is Katy Perry's religion?

In the video for Bon Appetit, Katy Perry is “chopped” and “prepped” like food to be eaten by elite guests.

Marina Abramovic, who has become a go-to artist for celebrities and
politicians alike – appears to be inspiration for much of the video.
Abramovic is infamous for her “performance art” which often depicts
death, cannibalism and dismembered bodies. She gained widespread
notoriety when an invitation to a “Spirit Cooking dinner” sent to Hilary Clinton Chief advisor John Podesta was leaked to the public.

Abramovic is beloved by Hollywood and political elite like Kim Kardashian.

According to reports:

“The act of spirit cooking involves Abramović using pig’s
blood as a way of connecting with the spiritual world, to cook up
thoughts rather than food. A video of the practice shows her writing
various statements with the blood, such as “with a sharp knife cut
deeply into your middle finger eat the pain.” (source).

Abramovic is a devotee of Luciferian Helena Blavatsky, one of the founders of the New Age movement. Blavatsky said of the Devil:

“One of the most hidden secrets involves the so-called
fall of Angels. Satan and his rebellious host will thus prove to have
become the direct Saviours and Creators of divine man. Thus Satan, once
he ceases to be viewed in the superstitious spirit of the church, grows
into the grandiose image. It is Satan who is the God of our planet and
the only God. Satan (or Lucifer) represents the Centrifugal Energy of
the Universe, this ever-living symbol of self-sacrifice for the
intellectual independence of humanity.“ – Madame H.P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine, Volume II, Pages 215, 216, 220, 245, 255, 533. (source).

Despite this, Abramovic claims there is nothing Satanic about her work. Here are some of her art pieces:

Abramovic claims there is nothing Satanic about her art.

The Bible says: “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted
from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3).
The Devil will truly use any means to distract, dissuade or disillusion
people from faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Perry
has gone so far into sin that she will promote the most sinful, sick
behavior to her millions of fans, many of them small children.

Purchasing A Convent That Was Site of Satanic Ritual Murder

Is Katy Perry in the Illuminati? | Satanic music industry pop artists

Perry went to court for the right to purchase a convent that was the site of a satanic ritual murder.

Perry recently went to court to obtain the right to purchase a former convent that has a disturbing satanic history:

“Katy Perry has been branded ‘disgusting’ by nuns at the
center of a court battle over a spectacular former convent in Los
Angeles the singer wants to buy.

Sister Rita Callanan, 78, reveals the Order is so incensed about the
sale of their one-time home they have now got the Pope involved,
enlisting the help of his lawyer to help them win the case.

Along with Sister Rose Catherine Holzman, 86, the two women, who
belong the Order of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, are
locked in a battle over who has the right to sell the mansion where
they lived.

While they maintain the multi-million dollar property in LA’s Los
Feliz belongs to the nuns, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles says it is
theirs.

Sister Callanan told DailyMail.com she would ‘not be very happy at
all if Perry got the property adding: ‘I do not like Katy Perry’s
lifestyle.” (source).

The nuns were furious over Perry’s promotion of promiscuity and
fornication and as well as her support of witchcraft, citing Perry’s own
comments regarding selling her soul to the devil and her trip to a
witchcraft convention in Salem, MA.  When questioned by the nuns Perry
responded:

“She looked over at one of her people and
said: ‘Did I go to Salem, was I in Salem? …I’m sorry but I am just not
into witchcraft and I am just not into people who are into witchcraft.” (source).

However as the photos below show, Perry was indeed at the event in 2014.

The mansion was the site of a grisly murder by the followers of cult leader and satanist Charles Manson. Beginning and End previously covered Perry’s promotion of the occult in our article: “Descent Into Darkness: Katy Perry Renounces the Christian Faith.”
In it we detailed how Perry moved from promoting sin to outright
celebration of satanic occult practices, using many of her performances
to mimic witchcraft rituals. With respect to her own personal life,
Perry admits to using “energy crystals” to help her attract men:

“I don’t stay single for long,” Perry says in the July 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan.
“I carry a lot of rose quartz, which attracts the male. Maybe I need to
calm it down with the amethyst.” Gossip sites say she learned about
crystal healing from Madonna, who Perry says gave her the number of a
crystal healer after the singer’s public breakup with musician John
Mayer that same year. “Everything stems from people’s energy, so it
makes sense,” she adds. “I sleep with a rose quartz in my hand at night.
It’s supposed to help you find love and also heal your heart.” (source).

Like candles – crystals and gemstones play a key part in most rituals in Wicca. Different crystals are associated with different elements and are believed to have different powers, magical properties and attributes.

Being Given Over to Her Lusts

Katy Perry Bon Appetit MK Ultra Beta Kitten | Is Katy Perry in the Illuminati

Perry dancing on a stripper pole in the Bon Appetit video.

Sinful rebellion is a process. Romans chapter 1 describes those who
turn from God being permitted by The Lord to delve deeper into their own
wickedness:

Because that,
when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart
was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  And
changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to
corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping
things.  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness
through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies
between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie,
and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is
blessed for ever. Amen. – Romans 1:21-25.

Perry has gone out of her way to reject God and thus has been given
over to her sinful flesh (the same sinful flesh all people, this author
included, are born with and possess). The difference described in Romans
1 is that the residue of the spirit, all people have – the human
conscience – can become so numb to one’s own sinful behavior that they
become deaf to the call to repentance of the Gospel. This is the danger
of continually living one’s life apart from God. There is no neutrality
in our relationship with The Lord. We are either moving closer or
farther away. And in Perry’s case she has moved towards outright
hostility. Romans 1 concludes:

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their
knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things
which are not convenient;  Being filled with all
unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness;
full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  Who
knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are
worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do
them.” – Romans 1:28-32.

What is Katy Perrys religion? | Katy Perry MK Ultra breakdown

An apple is forced into Perrys mouth in the Bon Appetit video – reinforcing her satanic initiation.

Sadly, this passage describes much of the actions of Perry the past
several years as she has turned her back on the Christian faith.

Pray for Katy Perry (Claims to be suicidal?):

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” – Mark 8:36.

For all her massive wealth, multi-platinum albums and millions of
adoring fans, Katy Perry (as seen in her recent televised psychiatric
session) finds herself tragically on the verge of ending her own life
and hating the “Katy Perry” persona that has brought her so much fame
and wealth. And in her lowest point, she still looks to “God’s grace” as
a possible answer to her problems.

If you are not a Christian, take the time to understand that some of
the biggest entertainers and influencers in the world have put a massive
amount of effort into promoting a spiritual message that points to
rebellion against God and following the ways of the Devil. And know that
there is a real war for your soul being waged. Look to God and
understand in the barrage of media and pop culture, the true light – the
light of the Gospel still stands true. For all of her rebellion, Perry can still receive free forgiveness from God who proved His love by sending His Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross and take the punishment for her sins. And you can be forgiven as well.

If you are a born again Christian, pray for Perry to repent and seek
The Lord’s forgiveness. There is love and true grace in the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. Pray for Katy Hudson, who once sang sons to glorify God,
to return to The Lord who she now mocks and despises. She put her trust
in the world and the promises of its riches and its left her not even
wanting to live any further. But in Jesus there is reconciliation, true love and eternal life. Lord willing, she will realize that sooner rather than later.

ANGLICAN LONDON CHURCH HOSTS SATANIC ILLUMINATI FASHION SHOW~ACTUALLY A “BLACK MASS”

A London church has apologised for hosting a satanic fashion show.

St Andrew’s Church in Holborn received criticism after it offered up its
building as part of London fashion week on Monday evening.

The Anglican church’s alter was transformed into a runway for models
wearing inverted crosses, devil horns and vampire costumes to walk down
in Turkish designer Dilara Findikoglu’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

St. Andrew Holborn church in Holborn is on the northwest edge of
London, and goes back at least to the year 959AD. The church is still
funded through a trust of a local weapons dealer, which has been
carefully funded throughout the centuries and still provides for the
buildings upkeep, which survived a lightning strike in 1563, the Great
Fire of London in 1666, having to be partially rebuilt in 1713, and
nearly destroyed by German bombing in 1941. The iconic church was
referenced in the classic novel, Oliver Twist. It is not affiliated with
the Roman Catholic Church, as was reported elsewhere. In fact, one of its patrons was executed for serving a Catholic Mass in 1591. It is affiliated with the Church of England.

The church was also recently host to a satanic fashion show.
The Dilara Findikoglu, the Turkish designer whose favorite band is
Black Sabbath, put on the fashion show to reveal her line that is based
upon her occultic vibe. She told Vogue Magazine

I’m into parapsychology and all the occult and magic
stuff, so when I was reading those books, [her Muslim parents] thought I
was going to be a Satanist.”

Findikogulu says she’s not a satanist, but that the occult has
informed her fashion. In fact, she says that she doesn’t like how
“religion divides people into groups.”

The highlight of Findikogulu’s fashion show was the drag queen model,
Violet Chachki (his given name is unknown, or we would use it instead),
dressed in a devil outfit, whose hair was shaped to look like horns.

Sometimes, devils are disguised as angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Sometimes they’re just showing off.

JIM BAKKER CLAIMS “EVERY PROPHECY I’VE MADE HAS COME TRUE”~ALSO, TRUMP WATCHES HIS SHOW!

JIM BAKKER CLAIMS “EVERY PROPHECY I’VE MADE HAS COME TRUE”~ALSO, TRUMP WATCHES HIS SHOW!
SEE:
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

A few things you’ll learn from this clip.

First, Bakker claims that Trump watches the Jim Bakker Program.

Secondly, Bakker claims Trump admires Bakker for “getting back up.”

Third, the applause you hear after Bakker says the above is a sound effect.
You can hear the few (25-30) people in the audience clap and then
you’ll hear an added-in applause sound effect added in post-production
to make it sound like hundreds are in the audience. Listen closely; you
can hear it. It’s pretty obvious.

Fourth, Bakker claims he might get shot for wearing a cross hat. Okay.

Fifth, while extolling the religious virtue of Donald Trump, Bakker claims that all of his prophecies have come true.

“Everything God’s ever spoken to me has
come to pass. And everything…you give minutes, almost. Your prophecies –
the words God has brought  – you’ve given us to the minute…what this
book is going to reveal to you is the warfare we are in.”

As usual, Tammy Fae #2 chimed in with total agreement when Bakker
claimed “everything God’s ever spoken to me has come to pass” with an
agreeable “that’s so true.”

First, you might recall an ornery fellow pointing out some of Bakker’s false prophecies just last month. Watch below.

Ironically, Bakker was speaking also of Jonathan Cahn as being so
prophetic he was giving “minutes” and telling people that his latest
book is revealing the words of God. Of course, Jonathan Cahn is best
known for his false prophecy, claiming that 2015 would be a year of
great prophetic and economic “shaking” (it was not), called The
Shemitah. And yet, Bakker claims that Cahn – like Bakker himself – give
accurate prophecies.

Here’s a list of just of some of Bakker’s prophecies that have NOT come to pass.

1. A great Earthquake would occur on September 15 of 2015.

Oh, hold up. We don’t need to list more false prophecies because God’s Word says that one is enough to classify someone as a false prophet.

What Bakker does do is regularly claim to prophesy things after the fact
that he never – in reality – ever prophesied beforehand. Here’s a good
example of a woman with documentation calling him out on this nonsense
ex post facto prophetic claims. He claims to have prophesied very
specific things (like 9-11) back in 1999. Guess what…she was there, and
took notes. And he’s full of garbage (also, thanks for the warning,
Jim).

Rod Dreher wants conservatives out of the culture wars. Dreher is a “crunchy con,”
who holds to economic Marxism while simultaneously – if not
inexplicably – holding to more conservative social principles. Dreher is
also an Eastern Idolater and has written The Benedict Option,
encouraging Christians to retire from political engagement and build
“communities” (his use of the term is vague) to exit political
engagement and hunker down, so as to best prepare society for the fruits
of our current post-Christian culture. Dreher has been promoted heavily
among America’s evangelicals including Carl Trueman, Albert Mohler and
Russell Moore.

JD Hall has written a response to Dreher’s book entitled The Benedict Arnold Option: Why Christians Must Not Retreat From the Culture Wars, available now at Amazon.

Dreher congratulates a Twitter user in his August 18 blog post at the American Conservative,
lauding him as an example of someone who has decided to wave the white
flag (pun intended, you’ll see why in a minute) of cultural surrender.
You can find his post, here. Dreher writes…

My TAC colleague Scott McConnell tipped me off to this
extraordinary tweetstorm by someone whose name I don’t know, but who
appears to be a conservative who is now going offline. I’m going to post
the whole thing here for you who don’t use, or know how to use,
Twitter:

Dreher then posts screenshots from Twitter user @RetiredSOBL1 (Retired Social Critic), applauding his Twitter posts explaining why he is bowing out of the “fight.”

That’s just a few screenshots from Dreher’s article, but the paraphrase is this:
The social critic is retiring because he says society is crumbling
around him, and he wants to spend time with his family and cultivating
and creating art and hippy garbage like that. Again, you can see the post here.

Dreher says…

RetiredSocialCritic says in a much more powerful way what I tried to say to Christian readers in my book The Benedict Option…If
you think politics is going to turn around the spiritual, moral, and
social dying that RetiredSocialCritic sees, you are delusional. Nobody
is coming to save us from ourselves. Be the lighthouse. The storm is
here, and it will only get worse.

A photo from the podcast website of Ryan Landry, who Dreher gives the thumbs-up.

Here’s the problem. The fellow Dreher is congratulating for his
soulful wisdom and higher plane of transcendent virtue is an “alt-right”
White Supremacist.

The owner of that Twitter account (formerly @28ShermanSOBL1, which
you can easily enough Google and it when you click on the former, it
will take you to Landry’s new account, “@RetiredSOBL1) is Ryan Landry
who contributes to the website, “Social Matter: Statecraft for American Restoration.”
He is listed as a contributor on the website, and his bio says,
“Midwestern family man and FIRE economy worker by day and social critic
by night.”

Landry is also a podcaster, and in his latest episode of “Weimerica Weekly”
(posted at Social Matter, above) – entitled Episode 83, Charlottesville
– in which he defends and sympathizes with the white supremacists who
held the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville last month. In fact,
he gives some helpful advice to the racist marchers on what to do when
they run out of torches (literally) and said it was “pretty cool
looking.”

He also goes on to favorably compare his own movement with the Nazi
movement in the 1920s, mentioning the Beer Hall Putsch, Hitler’s
imprisonment, and the publication of Mein Kampf.

The website posting Landry’s material also has a podcast called, “The Myth of the 20th Century,” which is a hat-tip to convicted Nazi war criminal, Alfred Roseberg, who wrote a book by that name which provided the framework for Nazi ideology in 1930.

There’s even more irony, here. Social Matter published a blog article defending racism against an article written by Rod Dreher himself (see the tweet here).

This irony was picked up on by a “neoreactionist” (read that: “Alt-Right”) blog, NRX Syndication (a neoreactionist website), here. The
author gives Dreher credit for praising Landry, albeit admitting that
it’s strange bedfellows. He nonetheless says, “Good on Dreher giving
[Landry’s words] wider circulation.”

While it’s good that an alt-right, neoreactionist, white
supremacist-sympathizing racist is retiring from podcasting or blogging,
he’s not retiring from his worldview. For Dreher, that’s immaterial.
His goal is to talk as many people as possible to retreat into a
cultural monastery regardless of their worldview; to do so, for Dreher,
is righteousness. And, Dreher’s  willing to promote a guy like Ryan
Landry to sell more copies of his book.

Shame on him.

ROBERT SPENCER ON POPE FRANCIS: THE POPE OF ISLAM

ROBERT SPENCER ON POPE FRANCIS:
THE POPE OF ISLAM
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Pope Francis welcomes to the Vatican the head of a Muslim group tied to the financing of jihad terror. My latest in FrontPage:

As if he weren’t already committed enough to foolish
false charity and willful ignorance regarding the jihad threat, Pope
Francis on Wednesday met
in the Vatican with Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the secretary
general of the Muslim World League (MWL), a group that has been linked
to the financing of jihad terror.

During the meeting, al-Issa thanked the Pope
for his “fair positions” on what he called the “false claims that link
extremism and violence to Islam.” In other words, he thanked the Pope
for dissembling about the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which his
group has been accused of financing, and for defaming other religions
in an effort to whitewash Islam.

I don’t object to the Pope’s meeting this man. After all, Jesus was a
friend of tax collectors and sinners. But the meeting appears to have
been a pointless feelgood session, probably featuring some sly dawah
from al-Issa. According to Breitbart News,
“the two men reportedly exchanged views on a number of ‘issues of
common interest’ including peace and global harmony, and discussed
cooperation on issues of peaceful coexistence and the spread of love.”

The spread of love. Yes, that’s what the Muslim World League is all about.

Nor is this the first time a Muslim leader has thanked the Pope for
being so very useful. Last July, Ahmed al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of
Cairo’s al-Azhar, thanked him for his “defense of Islam against the accusation of violence and terrorism.”

Has any other Pope of Rome in the history of Christianity ever been heralded as a “defender of Islam”?

Of course not. But the Catholic Church has come a long way since the
days of Pope Callixtus III, who vowed in 1455 to “exalt the true Faith,
and to extirpate the diabolical sect of the reprobate and faithless
Mahomet in the East.”

If time travel could be arranged and Pope Francis could run into
Callixtus III, Callixtus could “expect a punch,” for Francis is not just
a defender of Islam, but a defender of the Sharia death penalty for
blasphemy: after Islamic jihadists murdered the Charlie Hebdo
cartoonists who had drawn Muhammad, Francis obliquely justified the murders
by saying that “it is true that you must not react violently, but
although we are good friends if [an aide] says a curse word against my
mother, he can expect a punch, it’s normal. You can’t make a toy out of
the religions of others. These people provoke and then (something can
happen). In freedom of expression there are limits.”

So for the Pope, murdering people for violating Sharia blasphemy laws
is “normal,” and it isn’t terrorism for “Christian terrorism does not
exist, Jewish terrorism does not exist, and Muslim terrorism does not
exist. They do not exist,” he said in a speech
last February. “There are fundamentalist and violent individuals in all
peoples and religions—and with intolerant generalizations they become
stronger because they feed on hate and xenophobia.”

So there is no Islamic terrorism, but if you engage in “intolerant
generalizations,” you can “expect a punch.” The Pope, like the
Organization of Islamic Cooperation, apparently thinks that the problem
is not jihad terror, but non-Muslims talking about jihad terror; Muslims
would be peaceful if non-Muslims would simply censor themselves and
self-impose Sharia blasphemy restrictions regarding criticism of Islam.

For Pope Francis has no patience
with those who discuss such matters: “I don’t like to talk about
Islamic violence, because every day, when I read the newspaper, I see
violence.” He said, according to Crux,
that “when he reads the newspaper, he reads about an Italian who kills
his fiancé or his mother in law.” The pontiff added: “They are baptized
Catholics. They are violent Catholics.” He said that if he spoke about
“Islamic violence,” then he would have to speak about “Catholic
violence” as well.

That comparison made no sense, for Italian Catholics who killed their
fiancés or mothers in law were not acting in accord with the teachings
of their religion, while the Qur’an and Islamic teaching contain
numerous exhortations to violence.

But Pope Francis, defender of Islam, cannot concern himself with such
minutiae. Nor does he appear to be particularly concerned about the
fact that all his false statements about the motivating ideology behind
the massive Muslim persecution of Christians over the last few years
only enables and abets that persecution, for if that ideology is not
identified and confronted, it will continue to flourish.

The Pope of Rome, whom Catholics consider to be the earthly head of
the Church, should be a defender of Christianity, not a defender of
Islam, the religion that has been at war with Christianity and
Judeo-Christian civilization since its earliest days. That any Christian
leader would be called a “defender of Islam” by anyone only casts into
vivid relief the absurdity of our age and the weakness of the free
world. The creeping idolatry of the papacy that is rampant in today’s
Catholic Church, with all too many Catholics treating every word of the
Pontiff as if it were a divine oracle, only makes matters worse.

Can you imagine any Muslim leader ever being called a “defender of
Christianity”? Of course not: Muslim leaders are more aware than their
fond defender in the Vatican that Islam mandates warfare against
unbelievers, not defense of their theological views.

Pope Francis is not only disastrously wrongheaded about an obvious
fact that is reinforced by every day’s headlines; he is also deceiving
and misleading his people about a matter of utmost importance, and
keeping them ignorant and complacent about a growing and advancing
threat.

“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

VATICAN SHIELDS PEDOPHILE FROM AMERICAN PROSECUTION~PUT HIM ON A PLANE TO THE VATICAN

VATICAN SHIELDS PEDOPHILE FROM
AMERICAN PROSECUTION
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:
The Roman Catholic priesthood attracts – or creates – pedophiles.
Whether it’s forbidding priests to marry or its general satanic
corruption, there has perhaps been no religion on Earth more associated
with the molestation of children. To this day, the systemic and
institution pedophilia continues in the Roman Catholic Church.

The Vatican announced on Friday that U.S. officials notified them
that one of its diplomats (they have four on staff in Washington D.C.)
at the United States embassy had been suspected of child pornography.
The American authorities asked the Vatican to officially repeal the
suspected pervert’s diplomatic immunity. The Vatican refused to remove his diplomatic immunity and
put him on a plane to the Vatican.
Because the Vatican essentially
serves as its own state, it alone will be responsible for investigating,
trying and sentencing the diplomat for his alleged pedophilia.

The Vatican has been notoriously lax on pedophilia and did not
officially condemn the possession of child pornography until 2014 in the
“Holy See’s” official comments on “Convention on the Rights of a Child.
Should the Vatican investigate, charge and convict the diplomat for
crimes against children committed while in the United States (which is
unlikely), he faces a maximum of 2 years in prison and a 12 thousand
dollar fine. Should he have been convicted in the United States, he
would have faced a maximum of 30 years in prison. But in fact, the
Vatican has a huge backlog of unaddressed sexual abuse cases, and it’s
unlikely the diplomat will be investigated or tried anytime soon.

The connection between the Papist religion and pedophilia is well
documented. For a list of “priests” accused of sexual crimes upon
children, click here. But be forewarned – it might take a few days to go through, and that database is only for the United States.

The current holder of the Anti-Christ’s office, Pope Francis,
promised to get tough on the plague of child molestation among Roman
Catholic leaders. His first real test was Cardinal George Pell, one of
the Pope’s chief advisors – who was wanted in Australia for crimes
against children earlier this summer. Francis defended his friend and papal leader, and attacked the victims of his alleged sexual abuse as being guilty of “relentless character assassination.”

MORAL RELATIVIST POPE SAYS DISCERNMENT MEANS NOT ANSWERING TOUGH MORAL QUESTIONS

POPE SAYS DISCERNMENT MEANS NOT ANSWERING TOUGH MORAL QUESTIONS
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

We notice it happening more and more among Protestants. “Discernment” is being redefined.

Often, those with the most nuance, vagueness and whimsy in the public
statements are considered “discerning” because they know what to say
and how to say it in order to receive the acclaim of men or cause the
least controversy possible. Biblical discernment is the opposite,
however; discernment is to make judgments between right and wrong and to
do so based upon the objective Scripture rather than subjective
appearances (for more explanation of Biblical discernment, click here).

The Bishop of Rome, also known as the Pope (or Antichrist,
depending upon your Confession of Faith), similarly seems to have
redefined discernment. For him – like for so many evangelicals –
discernment is not being clear on important Biblical issues.

Pope Francis – a committed Marxist and globalist – has departed from
the “moral orthodoxy” of the Roman Catholic Church by speaking in
unprecedented terms of homosexuality and applied an assumed Universalism
towards virtually every class of unrepentant sinner. In short, this
leftist Pope has moved hard left at breakneck speed. It would only make
sense that Pope Francis would desire to redefine “discernment,”
something sorely needed by Papists – some of whom might disagree with
his hard left-turn even though they agree with him on superstition and
idolatry. The redefinition of discernment has been a goal of the Pope
for some time, having used the word, “discernment,” over 30 times in his 2016 Amoris Laetitia.
His usage of the term in this papal declaration was designed to allow
divorced couples receive communion (a startling departure from Romish
teaching), saying, “discernment must help to find possible ways of responding to God and growing in the midst of limits.”

Anyone familiar with Biblical discernment would understand that using
discernment for the sake of doctrinal compromise (this is how a
traditional Romanist might view it) is hardly the proper use of the
term. Demonstrating that the infallible Popes often disagree, Francis
has heralded the work of German theologian, Bernard Häring (who was a
dissenter of Paul John Paul VI) because Häring argued discernment
required not making hard moral stands. Defending his dissent from Pope John Paul VI, Francis was quoted in La Civilta Cattolica  as saying…

“Discernment is the key element: the
capacity for discernment. I note the absence of discernment in the
formation of priests. We run the risk of getting used to ‘white or
black,’ to that which is legal. We are rather
closed, in
general, to discernment. One thing is clear: today, in a certain number
of seminaries, a rigidity that is far from a discernment of situations
has been introduced. And that is
dangerous, because it can lead us to a conception of morality that has a casuistic sense…”

Discernment, to the Pope, has always been not being “rigid” on…you know…Bible-related stuff.
This is, of course, the opposite of Biblical discernment as taught in
the Scripture. Leave it to the Antichrist to twist the Scripture.

In an interview in Katolikus Valasz, the Pope spoke of discernment again…

“Discernment does not decide what is
right or wrong but leads the person to inform himself as fully as
possible, so that he can make a right judgment in a particular matter,
that is, so that he can act in accord with the truth which God has
written upon his heart or conscience.”

Notice the subtle deception. Discernment is not judging between
“right and wrong” from the Bible, but allowing someone to make a
judgment based upon one’s own conscience.

Most recently, Francis told a group of recently graduated bishops,
“[We must not be] imprisoned by nostalgia for being able to give just
one answer to apply in all cases,” and that discernment is an “antidote
against rigidity, because the same solutions aren’t valid everywhere.”

The Pope of Rome and evangelicals are growingly accepting the same definition of discernment.

CHARISMATIC LEANING SOUTHERN BAPTIST CEO WANTS NEW WORD FROM GOD

SOUTHERN BAPTIST CEO WANTS
NEW WORD FROM GOD
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Frank Page is the CEO of the Executive Committee of the Southern
Baptist Convention (not to be confused with the president of the SBC,
who currently is Steve Gaines). Page has served in this capacity for the
SBC since 2010, and was president of the SBC itself from 2006 to 2008
and was vice president of the scandal-ridden North American Mission
Board (NAMB) from 2008 to 2010.

Since his service as CEO of the Executive Committee, Page has been
instrumental in focusing the SBC on race relations and attracting
non-white churches to the convention by creating a position of
“Presidential Ambassador for Ethnic Relations” and starting various
advisory committees consisting of different races. Page also authored Trouble with the Tulip,
a book designed to negate the doctrines of Calvinism. Page (an ardent
Arminian) made peace with Russell Moore (a rumored Calvinist), when
Moore came under fire earlier this year for advocating for a Mosque to
be built in New Jersey, probably because they both share the
color-tinted, politically correct and segregated worldview of Cultural Marxism.
Page was seen as the last, best hope to reign in Moore’s progressivism
at the ERLC, and conservatives were generally disappointed with Page
regarding the parlay.

The Baptist “Press” tweeted out a quotation from Frank Page just a few days ago…

The statement was made during Page’s address at the 2017 Executive Committee meeting.

Of course, we don’t need a word from the Lord, and that’s good,
because he’s not giving any more of them. While Article I of the 2000 SBC Faith and Message
stops short of asserting full cessationism, most Baptist Confessions –
like the Second London Baptist Confession (1689) do not. Baptists
traditionally have been cessationists, and do not believe in continued
direct, divine revelation. Recent decades of Baptist life prove an
exception to this rule.

The CEO of the SBC, on the other hand, is still wanting a fresh word from God.

Polemicist Justin Peter’s response was most apropros.

We have 66 Books of Inspired Writ. Someone please inform Page that
“SBC” does not mean, “Slowly Becoming Charismatic.” The SBC needs to
understand the words written.

SBC BRAGS ABOUT INCREASE IN FEMALE SEMINARY ENROLLMENT, TOUTS LIFEWAY’S INFLUENCE

SBC BRAGS ABOUT INCREASE IN FEMALE SEMINARY ENROLLMENT, TOUTS LIFEWAY’S INFLUENCE
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Technically, the Southern Baptist Convention doesn’t believe in female pastors.
In reality, there are hundreds of female Southern Baptist
pastor-preachers yet to be disfellowshipped from the denomination,
thousands of women with the title “pastor” (usually with the word
“children,” “youth” or “women’s” in front of the title), and it is
becoming altogether commonplace to see women fill Southern Baptist
pulpits as guest lecturers. The Southern Baptist pigeon-peddlers and
money changers, Lifeway Christian Resources, sells, advertises, and
promotes women pastors and preachers. And, it seems that all are excited
about increased female seminary enrollment.

Paige Patterson

The Baptist “Press” reports a “remarkable” increase in
the number of females enrolled in Southern Baptist seminaries. The BP
quotes Southwestern Seminary Baptist President, Paige Patterson, with
what has to be the most asininely absurd comment to be heard from leader
since he defended enrolling Muslims in his seminary.

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary President Paige
Patterson, in reporting to the EC Sept. 18, said female SBC seminary
graduates are helping to fulfill a need in churches for “strong female
Bible teachers.” He attributed the increased number of female
students in part to the publication of high-quality theological
resources for women by LifeWay Christian Resources
.

Yes. Yes, let’s discuss the “high-quality theological resources for women by Lifeway Christian Resources.

Lifeway’s chiefest Cash Cow of Bashan is
Beth Moore, who has become a full-blown charismatic, regularly revealing
prophecies God has given her, and her Bible-twisting has growing
increasingly incoherent. You can find Lifeway’s collection of her
material here.
Lifeway promotes the material of
Hillsong, Word of Faith, impastor, Christine Caine. This woman calls
Joyce Meyer her “spiritual mother.” You can find Lifeway’s collection of
her material here.
Lifeway sells the material of theoerotic siren, Ann Voskamp. In One Thousand Gifts, Voskamp writes about making love to God in erotic terms. You can find Lifeway’s collection of her material here.
Lifeway sells the material from Sarah Young, who wrote Jesus Calling
– a book literally claiming to be direct, divine revelation of Jesus’
actual words. You can find Lifeway’s collection of her material here.
Lifeway sells the material of Priscilla
Shirer, who regularly partners with Joel and Victoria Osteen and Joyce
Meyer, and teaches direct, divine revelation. You can find Lifeway’s
collection of her material here.
Aside from the gross theological
problems of all these women (use our search function to find out what
they are), all of these women have two things in common; they preach to
men as well as women and they are Lifeway’s best-sellers.
It’s time to see if Paige Patterson is
mentally fit for the function of seminary president. He’s well beyond
proving himself spiritually unfit. If it’s true that Lifeway is to
credit for women enrolling in seminary, this is a very, very, very bad thing. Lifeway is the one worming their way into churches to lead captive weak women (2 Timothy 3:6).
Patterson continues…
One of the things we have all been
convinced of at the seminaries,” Patterson said, “is that one of the
things we greatly need is a generation of female Bible teachers who
really have their act together, who really understand the Word of God.
The seminaries may be “convinced” that they
need a “generation of female Bible teachers,” but we ask the simple
question: Why do women need to learn the Bible from women? If God has
appointed elders to be “apt to teach,” and women are not Biblically
qualified to be elders (read Timothy and Titus), then why must women learn the Bible from other women?
Such a notion is to treat women like second-class citizens, giving
them less qualified Bible teachers merely because of their gender.
Blacks shouldn’t sit at the end of the bus, and women shouldn’t be
excluded from pastoral Bible teaching just because of their gender. To
give women teachers like Shirer, Moore, Young, Caine, and the like is to
relegate women to eating hotdogs while their husbands dine on steak.
The notion that women should learn or need
to learn from women is not an idea found in the Bible. It’s an idea
found in marketing research of the Christian retail industry.
In the meantime, Southern Baptists should
think long and hard about whether or not increased female enrollment in
seminary is a good thing. Regardless of what the Baptist Faith and
Message says Southern Baptists claim to believe about the complimentary
roles of men and women, the fact is that many female seminary enrollees
will not be content teaching only women – especially if it’s Lifeway’s
products that have inspired their aspirations for service to the church.
For example, a Southern Baptist Church in Tennessee called its first female pastor in June of this year. Maybe the bigshots should rethink exactly what it is they’re celebrating.

POPE WELCOMES TO VATICAN THE HEAD OF MUSLIM GROUP TIED TO FINANCING OF JIHAD TERROR~IGNORES TERRORIST EVENTS

POPE WELCOMES TO VATICAN THE HEAD OF MUSLIM GROUP TIED TO FINANCING OF JIHAD TERROR
BY ROBERT SPENCER
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

“Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa…expressed the appreciation
of the Muslim world for the pope’s ‘fair positions’ regarding ‘the
false claims that link extremism and violence to Islam,’ as well as for
his insistence that extremism is not distinctive of Islam but is found
among followers of all religions.”

In other words, he thanked the Pope for dissembling about the
motivating ideology of jihad terror, which his group has been accused of
financing, and for defaming other religions in an effort to whitewash
Islam.

“Despite the group’s official opposition to violence and terrorism
and its pursuit of intercultural dialogue, it has been the subject of
several ongoing counterterrorism investigations in the U.S. related to Hamas, al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.”
Has the Pope met with any of the survivors of the Muslim persecution of Christians?
Let me be clear: I don’t object to the Pope’s meeting this man. After
all, Jesus was a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But the meeting
appears to have been a pointless feelgood session, probably featuring
some sly dawah from al-Issa: “the two men reportedly exchanged views on a
number of ‘issues of common interest’ including peace and global
harmony, and discussed cooperation on issues of peaceful coexistence and
the spread of love.”
The spread of love. Yes, that’s what the Muslim World League is all about.
“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

“Pope Francis Welcomes Leader of Muslim World League to Vatican,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, September 21, 2017:

Pope Francis met with the secretary general of the Muslim
World League (MWL) in the Vatican Wednesday, a group that has been tied
to Saudi financing of jihadist terrorism and the 9/11 attacks in 2001.
Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, who served for several years as
Saudi minister of justice in Riyadh and is now secretary general of the
MWL, expressed the appreciation
of the Muslim world for the pope’s “fair positions” regarding “the
false claims that link extremism and violence to Islam,” as well as for
his insistence that extremism is not distinctive of Islam but is found
among followers of all religions.
The Muslim World League is a Saudi Government-funded Islamic
non-governmental organization, founded on May 18, 1962 in Mecca for the
propagation of Islamic teachings. Despite the group’s official
opposition to violence and terrorism and its pursuit of intercultural
dialogue, it has been the subject of several ongoing counterterrorism investigations in the U.S. related to Hamas, al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.
Two months after the 9/11 jihadist attacks on U.S. soil, Newsweek writer Evan Thomas reported
that the Muslim World League was one of “two interrelated global
charities” directly funded by the Saudi government that were used by
Osama bin Laden to finance his operations. The organizations were left
off the list of groups sanctioned by the United States “in order to
avoid embarrassing the Saudi government,” Thomas wrote.
In 2004, Harper’s Magazine declared
that the Muslim World League had been “long known to have funneled
money to Al Qaeda” and is financed directly by the Saudi government.
“MWL is an evangelical organization that was created to help spread
Wahhabism, the Saudi brand of Islamic fundamentalism,” the article
stated.
According to the New York Times, an internal, top-secret
report from the Treasury Department obtained through the Freedom of
Information Act stated that the International Islamic Relief
Organization (IIRO), “an offshoot
of the Muslim World League,” supported terrorist organizations
beginning in the early 1990s “through to at least the first half of
2006.”
The MWL has also come under fire for its alleged anti-Semitism and the Anti-Defamation League claims that the MWL has frequently been a platform for anti-Israeli rhetoric. It has also been accused of using its English-language “Journal” to spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
At their first International Islamic Conference on Dialogue in Mecca
in 2008, the MWL invited Yusuf al-Qaradawi to speak. During his speech,
he said he would “never sit with Jews on one platform and never hold
dialogue with those Jews who have committed injustice against us and
support Israel.”
On Tuesday, Al-Issa spoke at an international conference
in Rome on “Tolerance in Islam” along with Joseph Levi, the former
chief rabbi in Florence, and Bishop Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, secretary
of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.
For his audience with the Pope, Al-Issa was accompanied by a
delegation of seven people. The Vatican released a series of photographs
of the encounter, during which the two men reportedly exchanged views
on a number of “issues of common interest” including peace and global
harmony, and discussed cooperation on issues of peaceful coexistence and
the spread of love….

Pope Francis: Concern for “cultural identity” doesn’t justify opposition to mass Muslim migration
BY ROBERT SPENCER
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

“I won’t hide my concern in the face of the signs of intolerance,
discrimination and xenophobia that have arisen in different regions of
Europe, often fueled by reticence and fear of the other, the one who is
different, the foreigner.”
Maybe people have “reticence and fear of the other” because of “the
other’s” tendency to perpetrate jihad massacres, and to boast of his
imminent conquest of Europe. The Pope, by portraying opposition to the
Muslim migrant influx as a moral issue and trying to shame people out of
that opposition, is helping to expose the non-Muslim people of Europe,
and their children and children’s children, to a future full of misery
and bloodshed. Is that really what a Christian leader should be doing?

“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

“Pope Francis Says Concern for ‘Cultural Identity’ Doesn’t Justify Opposition to Mass Migration,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, September 22, 2017:

Pope Francis spoke out strongly Friday in favor of
welcoming more migrants throughout Europe, telling his hearers to beware
of the “intolerance, discrimination and xenophobia” that have sprung up
around the continent.

In his audience
with the European national directors of the Church’s pastoral work with
migrants here for a meeting sponsored by the Council of Episcopal
Conferences of Europe (CCEE), the Pope recognized the consternation
caused by the “massive migrant flows” in Europe that have “thrown into
crisis migratory policies held up to now.”

At the same time, Francis rejected national immigration policies
designed to protect the cultural and religious identities of the peoples
of Europe.

“I won’t hide my concern in the face of the signs of intolerance,
discrimination and xenophobia that have arisen in different regions of
Europe,” the pontiff said, which are “often fueled by reticence and fear
of the other, the one who is different, the foreigner.”

“I am worried still more by the sad awareness that our Catholic
communities in Europe are not exempt from these reactions of
defensiveness and rejection, justified by an unspecified ‘moral duty’ to
conserve one’s original cultural and religious identity,” he said.
A report
this summer by the Centro Machiavelli found that Europe’s immigration
crisis is causing an ‘unprecedented’ shift in Italy’s demographics.
As of last January, Italy had over five million foreigners living as
residents, a growth of a remarkable 25 percent relative to 2012 and a
full 270 percent over 2002. At that time, foreigners made up just 2.38
percent of the population while fifteen years later the figure has
nearly trebled to 8.33 percent of the population.
If current trends continue, the report states, by 2065, first- and
second-generation immigrants will exceed 22 million persons, or more
than 40 percent of Italy’s total population.
In his address Friday, Francis appealed to the Church’s own history
of missionary work among different cultures, as well as the universality
of its mission in the world.
“The Church has spread through every continent thanks to the
‘migration’ of so many missionaries who were convinced of the
universality of the message of salvation in Jesus Christ, destined for
the men and women of every culture,” he said.
“Temptations to exclusiveness and cultural entrenchment have not been
wanting in the history of the Church,” the Pope continued, “but the
Holy Spirit has always helped us to overcome them, guaranteeing a
constant openness toward the other, considered as a concrete possibility
of growth and enrichment.”
Pope Francis said he was convinced that “the Holy Spirit will help us
to keep an attitude of trusting openness that will allow us to overcome
every barrier and scale every wall.”
In his address, the Pope also suggested that Europeans’ trouble with
migrants may be due in part to a lack of greater cohesion among European
nations and an incomplete process of political unification.
“In my constant listening to the particular churches in Europe I have
perceived a profound uneasiness in the face of the massive arrival of
migrants and refugees,” Francis said. “This uneasiness must be
recognized and understood in the light of a historical juncture
characterized by an economic crisis that has left deep wounds. This
uneasiness has been aggravated, moreover, by the scope and composition
of the migrant flows, by a substantial lack of preparedness in the host
countries and by frequently inadequate national and community policies.”
“But the uneasiness is also indicative of the limits in the process
of European unification,” the pontiff continued, “of the obstacles faced
by the concrete application of the universality of human rights, and of
the walls encountered by the integral humanism that constitutes one of
the most beautiful fruits of European civilization.”…

CALIFORNIA’S RADICAL ATTORNEY GENERAL WILL SUE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TO BLOCK CONSTRUCTION OF BORDER WALL

CALIFORNIA’S RADICAL ATTORNEY GENERAL
WILL SUE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION
TO BLOCK BORDER WALL
BY WARREN MASS

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

California’s radical Attorney General Xavier Becerra (shown) traveled
to San Diego on September 20 to announce a lawsuit he will file against
the Trump administration over its plan to begin construction of a wall
along the Mexican border in San Diego and Imperial counties. Becerra
made his announcement at the Border Field State Park in Imperial Beach,
which borders Playas de Tijuana in Mexico.

“No one gets to ignore the laws. Not even the President of the United States,” Becerra said to those attending.

The Times of San Diego reported that the federal government
is seeking to start construction of the border wall in San Diego County.
Last month the Department of Homeland Security announced it has secured
a waiver that will allow it to bypass environmental regulations to
speed up the building process in both San Diego and Imperial counties.

The Calexico waiver, as it was called, marked the seventh time the
government has waived environmental reviews under a 2005 law. That law
exempts the federal government from the National Environmental
Protection Act, which calls for extensive reviews of environmental
impacts, as well as many other laws.

The DHS would waive 37 federal statues as well as regulations related to those statutes, Becerra said during his announcement

That move would violate “numerous state and local laws” in California
and San Diego County, he asserted. “If it happens in our backyard we
demand that it be carried out the right way and follow the rule of law,”
said Becerra as quoted by the Times of San Diego. “If you want
to do business in California — and that includes the President of the
United States — be prepared to follow the law.”

A September 20 report in Politico cited Becerra’s statement
that the lawsuit will argue that the administration’s plan to build the
wall along the border violates federal law and the Constitution by
intruding on state authority. “They’re violating the Tenth Amendment and
infringing on a lot of state laws, not just federal laws, that affect
our state. At the same time, they’re trying to do something that only
Congress can do,” Becerra told journalists in Washington in advance of
an official announcement he plans to make in San Diego. “In California,
that’s not going to fly,” Becerra added.

Becerra said the suit will argue that federal officials are running
afoul of the law by declaring the expansion of the border wall to be an
emergency that justifies waiving environmental studies and usual
contracting procedures.

This is not Becerra’s first lawsuit against the Trump administration.
However, when the attorneys general of 15 states and the District of
Columbia filed suit on September 6 against the administration to block
it from terminating the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program
(DACA), California did not join the lawsuit. A spokeswoman cited by NPR
said that although Becerra has worked closely with other state attorneys
general, he will likely choose to take action independently because of
the number of DACA recipients in his state.

The DACA program protected from deportation those brought to this
country illegally as children. They are often referred to as DREAMers — a
reference to the DREAM Act, which was never ratified by Congress but
used as a model for provisions incorporated into DACA by executive order
under the Obama administration.

“We will not permit Donald Trump to destroy the lives of young
immigrants who make California and our country stronger,” Becerra said
in a statement last week. “The court of public opinion has already
spoken: the vast majority of Americans agree Dreamers should be here to
stay; so now it’s time to fight in every way we can — and on multiple
fronts — in the court of law.”

Additionally, California was also the first state to challenge the
administration on its policy of denying funds to “sanctuary cities” that
limit cooperation with enforcement of U.S. immigration laws. The state
of California and city of San Francisco filed a lawsuit against the U.S.
Department of Justice over President Trump’s sanctuary city
restrictions on public safety grants.

If Becerra’s name sounds familiar to some readers, it is because in
addition to doing battle with the Trump administration, he has gone to
war against pro-life activists. On March 28, Becerra filed 15 felony
charges in the state Superior Court in San Francisco against David
Daleiden, the founder of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), and his
associate Sandra Merritt. Becerra alleged that Daleiden and Merritt
invaded the privacy of staff personnel at Planned Parenthood by filming
undercover videos of themselves trying to buy fetal tissue from the
abortion provider.

Becerra’s tendency toward radicalism was noted in an article posted by The New American
last January, when Governor Jerry Brown first nominated him for his
present position. The article’s author, Bob Adelmann, observed after
Brown announced the pick:

Given [Becerra’s] radical background, his
long history of associating with communist and progressive groups, and
his far-left voting record including opposition to rights enshrined in
the Second Amendment, Becerra ought to be a slam-dunk.

Adelmann continued by detailing some of the key points of the Becerra’s past:

First voted into office as a member of
the U.S. House of Representatives in 1992, Becerra has welcomed the
support of far-left groups such as the Democratic Socialists of America,
which formally endorsed his reelection to the House in 1996. He
returned the favor by supporting other far-left groups such as the
Chicano Coalition for Peace and Social Justice, a group that had been
infiltrated by the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). In 2005 he joined
Latinos for Peace, an anti-Iraq War front group of the CPUSA.

Adelmann noted that in September of 2009, when the House voted 345-75
to defund ACORN, Becerra was one of the 75 who voted to continue
funding for the notoriously radical and corrupt community organization.

This is the man who presumes to lecture Trump and the members of his
administration on the 10th Amendment and the law. However, considering
the decisions made recently by federal judges who have heard various
lawsuits against the administration (e.g., U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber of Chicago ruled
September 15 that the Department of Justice cannot withhold federal
dollars in law-enforcement grants to sanctuary cities), one of them is
likely to take the California lawsuit seriously instead of dismissing
it.

NEW MEXICO “CHURCH” BECOMES FIRST IN MENNONITE CHURCH USA TO APPOINT OPENLY LESBIAN “LEAD PASTOR”
BY HEATHER CLARK

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A “church” in New Mexico has become the first in the
Mennonite Church USA to appoint an open lesbian as “lead pastor.”

Albuquerque Mennonite Church, which affirmed homosexual relationships
a decade ago, made the announcement on Monday that it had chosen Erica
Lea as its new leader.

It remarked that Lea has a “strong call to connect with and serve
people affected by current immigration policies and racial, social and
economic discrimination—as well as a call to provide a beacon and safe
haven for the LGBTQ community.”

“We look forward to finding more ways of articulating and sharing an
Anabaptist faith that can flourish in locally derived expressions of
Jesus’s call to discipleship, peacemaking and justice,” said search
committee member Andrew Clouse. “We think Erica is well-equipped to help
us do this.”

Lea has heretofore mainly led professing Baptist assemblies, but did
serve as an interim pastor for Houston Mennonite Church, Mennonite World
Review reports. She has been at Calvary Baptist Church in Washington,
D.C. for the past three years.
According to the site Sojourners, Lea plans to move to New Mexico to
take the role at Albuquerque Mennonite Church after she “marries” her
female partner in November.

“It’s like the Grand Canyon distance between becoming open and
affirming and actually calling an LGBTQ pastor who is out,” she told the
outlet. “A lot of churches struggle to make that movement. … I want
LGBTQ people and women to be celebrated and encouraged in pastoral and
ministry leadership roles.”

She also asserted to the Mennonite World Review that “it is quite
possible that the Spirit might be calling them (homosexuals and
transgenders) to these types of roles.”

Lea is a graduate of Truett Seminary at Baylor University in Texas,
and also has a background in eco-feminism, which “sees a relationship
between the serious environmental damage done to the earth and the
repression of women.”

While Lea is the first openly lesbian “lead pastor” to be appointed
by a Mennonite Church USA congregation, in 2014, the Mountain States
Conference approved the ministerial license
of Theda Good, a Colorado woman who identifies as a lesbian, to serve
as as pastor of nurture and fellowship at First Mennonite Church of
Denver.
As previously reported,
the development prompted a Mennonite Church in Ohio to leave the
denomination in part due to concerns over the lack of discipline against
those who engage in homosexual behavior.
“We felt that Mennonite Church USA and [our church] were going in
different directions concerning scriptural authority and holiness,” Ross
Miller, pastor of Hartville Mennonite Church in Lake, told reporters.
“We felt there needed to be church discipline, and there hasn’t
been,” he said, referencing disappointment that the Ohio Conference
failed to pass a resolution urging the denomination headquarters to
address the Mountain States’ actions, as well as a statement from an
executive board member that he felt was less than satisfactory.
According to 1 Timothy 3, leaders of the Church are to be men and are to be examples of holiness, including in their own homes.
“A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant,
sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach, not given
to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a
brawler, not covetous; one that ruleth well his own house, having his
children in subjection with all gravity,” it reads. “For if a man know
not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the Church of
God?”

I’m delighted to share with you Erica’s sermon, delivered at the 2016 Christian Feminism Today Gathering worship service.

At First Blush
by Rev. Erica Lea
First, thank you. It really is an honor to have the opportunity to
share my voice today among so many important voices that we have heard
this weekend.
Allow me to start this morning with a confession. When I came here on
Thursday, I wasn’t exactly sure, yet, how I felt about you. I have
known you to be an encouraging and supportive collection of email
addresses and names online. I knew you were eager, particularly, to
welcome more young people. Even so, I honestly wondered if I would see
anyone who looked like me.
Then, I saw Reta, a familiar face from a previous Mennonite event. I
learned more about Deb and her heart for pastoral care. I felt one of
Marg’s famous bear hugs. I attended Alicia’s session about sensitivity
to gender and pronouns. I read Elisabeth’s imaginative poetry. I heard
Jann’s familiar yet new music. I stretched my limits and more with
Lisa’s gentle yogi encouragement. I tasted Becky’s gifts for
hospitality. I prayed with Leslie and her soulful, contemplative
spirituality. I have seen different parts of myself in all of you. I have seen the imago dei, that Divine Image, in all of you.
Our primary passage this morning comes from Wisdom of Solomon chapter 7.
Some scholars believe the intended audience of this book was Jewish
young people in Alexandria, Egypt, who were surrounded by messages that
were contrary to Jewish faith and customs. In context and in essence,
the Wisdom of Solomon was intended to be not only counter-cultural, but a
reminder to the audience of what they already knew deeply about
themselves.
When I conceptualize wisdom, this breath throughout Creation,
I visualize a chubby owl with glasses on, “hooooing” with a long trill
like the owl on Winnie the Pooh.
There are many artistic depictions of Wisdom, including some beautiful icons. Perhaps more than visually, I have experienced Wisdom in an auditory way.
When I think of home, I think of my cottage in the forest in central
Texas where I lived during seminary. Not long after I moved in, I
noticed, on occasion, an owl “hooooing” in a particular and
recognizable pattern. I named her Sophia. I only saw her a few times,
but I often heard her. I knew her voice.

In chapter 7:22–26, we see two lists. A friend once described me as
Type A-minus. I can be mellow, but when something needs organizing, I am
cheerfully on it with a chart and a color-coded system. I love it!
These lists are more than a convenient way for the author to throw in
some information. The first list, in particular, in verses 22b–24, is a
poetic device utilizing Jewish mysticism. If you count the
number of attributes of Woman Wisdom in this list, there are twenty-one.
Twenty-one is not just a good number in Black Jack. No, twenty-one is a
multiple of both seven and three. Both seven and three are mystical
symbolic numbers of completeness and perfection.

Another understanding of complete completeness is shalom.
Shalom is more than peace. I got my favorite belt buckle in Jerusalem.
You know you’re Texan when you go to Jerusalem and come home with a belt
buckle as your prized souvenir. This belt buckle made my Mennonite
heart beat wildly—a black and bronze rectangle with Peace, Shalom, and
Salaam written on it—each word flowing into each other word. Like people
flowing into one another.
In the Holy Land, official signs are written in all three
languages—Hebrew, Arabic, and English—reflecting the history and the
residents. If you are an Israeli Jew, you may be fine with only Hebrew.
If you are an Israeli or Palestinian Muslim, you may be fine with only
Arabic. If you are one of the approximately 200,000 American or British
immigrants since 1948, you may be fine with only English. To not include
all three of these languages on the signs, and on my belt buckle, would
certainly be a statement.
This list of twenty-one
attributes for Woman Wisdom—intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, clear,
steadfast, overseeing all, intelligent, and more—come together to give a
more robust and tangible description of Woman Wisdom so that we can
attempt to wrap our heads around Her.
If this list were
twenty or twenty-two, it would lose its poetic and mystical power. There
must be twenty-one attributes on the list for the full power and
weight.
As I consider all of the meaningful work and amazingly far
reach of EEWC-CFT, I see us at twenty. What are we missing so that we
can be our full selves, living into full potential, being completely
complete, a model of shalom? Who are we missing?
I know some
people are not here this year because they have died, may their memory
be a blessing. Others are not here because they are ill, may they
experience wholeness however possible. Who else are we missing? Later,
when we gather around the Table, consider who is not at the Table with
you. Where are we missing?
It is only after this full list
of twenty-one attributes that Woman Wisdom, the second list, appears,
in verses 25–26, showing all She is capable of:

25 For she is a breath of the power of God, and a pure
emanation of the glory of the Almighty; therefore nothing defiled gains
entrance into her. 26 For she is a reflection of eternal light, a spotless mirror of the working of God, and an image of goodness.
For those of you keeping score at home, that is: breath, emanation, reflection, mirror, and image.
She must be whole in order to fulfill her potential.
The journey toward shalom and wholeness, both on individual
and collective levels, can be difficult and long. We do not make this
journey alone. Verse 27 says she is one and can do all things. When we
are one, we can do all things together.

If earlier, when we considered the attributes of Woman Wisdom, those
verses echoed Proverbs 31 to you, then you are good company. I
understand Proverbs 31 to be an ode to the women, the community of
women, rather than one individual woman. Proverbs 31 is not a
checklist. It is a wake-up call that wisdom is daily and cannot be done
alone.
Proverbs 31 is, as Kathleen O’Connor writes, “an invitation to search
for wisdom as if for a precious stone, to live committed to the path of
wisdom with the utter loyalty and allegiance of the person setting out
in life with a beloved partner.” We are partners with Woman Wisdom and
we are partners with one another.
Though the journey to shalom and living fully into all we can be is
difficult and long, for some of us more than others, there is
sustenance.
Have you ever played the road trip game? You know, I’m going on a
road trip and I’m bringing ____ and ____. For example, I am Erica Lea
and I’m going on a road trip and I’m bringing eggs and lettuce. I may
go. If Marg were to play, she might say I am Marg Herder and I’m going
on a road trip and I’m bringing juice and ham. She may not go. But if
she said, my name is Marg Herder and I’m going on a road trip and I’m
bringing mustard and ham, she may go. If you don’t get it, ask whoever
you rode with or whoever you will share a van with to the airport. Ya’ll
will have a good time.
God is with us. Sophia is with
us. Woman Wisdom is with us. We are with each other. We can continue to
move forward together on this journey of shalom as we lean on God and
lean on one another.

Verse 29 says, “She is more beautiful than the sun, and excels every
constellation of the stars. Compared with the light she is found to be
superior.”
Did ya’ll see the strawberry moon last week? Full moon and summer
solstice came together to show a pinkish moon. It was beautiful. If you
garden, as so many of you have shared that you do, you know the power of
sunlight and photosynthesis to feed plants. Light is energy. Light is
food for growth. Woman Wisdom is superior even to light. As the Inner
Light grows in you, your connection to that power will grow. The light,
this provision, is grace.
Finally, the text says that wisdom will prevail over evil. I
don’t know about you but it is often difficult for me to believe that
wisdom will prevail against internalized homophobia, transphobia,
xenophobia, and racism. It is often difficult to see wisdom prevailing
over injustice and social evils.

We will be most effective
bringing forward justice in our time when we are whole, when we are
whole together, and when we trust in the Light that Woman Wisdom brings
.
Kenneth Carter Jr. writes that “wisdom may be defined as a life well
lived, a life that matters . . . wisdom is a way of life that includes
justice, righteousness, humility, compassion, and fairness.”
Today is the one-year anniversary for the Supreme Court
ruling in support of marriage equality. Yay! However, in the past year,
there has been an uptick in hate crimes, including violence, especially
against trans women of color. There has been conservative panic in many
forms, especially so-called religious liberty bills. So many of us felt
like we were truly moving forward, but these anxiety-motivated and
anxiety-producing roadblocks stop us. We must continue to move forward.
Our voice for justice and equality will continue to be heard most
effectively as one unified voice.
It may appear that we are
sliding backward from the progress won by decades of work. All progress
meets resistance. We will continue to move forward. Together. Wisdom will prevail over evil.

It is tempting to be discouraged sometimes. It is tempting to look
around now and ask, “Where are the younger generations?” We are here. It
is tempting to say, “I don’t feel like I have Inner Light.” The Inner
Light has you. It is tempting to think, “I’m not enough.” Enough of an
expert or enough outspoken or enough young or enough old or enough . . .
whatever. We are enough with Woman Wisdom. We are enough. Together.
Remember, Wisdom is a spotless mirror and you and I seem only dimly
into a mirror. Let us continue to look into the mirror together. Amen.

BOOKLET HIGHLIGHT: A JESUIT POPE? UNDERSTANDING THE JESUIT AGENDA &
THE EVANGELICAL/PROTESTANT CHURCH
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

An Understand the Times/Lighthouse Trails Special Report
The Jesuit Agenda(Booklet Form)

According to Bible prophecy, a one-world
religion that will offer the promise of peace throughout the world is
going to commence prior to Christ’s return. To most, this global body
will seem like a wonderful thing and very possibly will be a
pseudo-Christianity (coming in the name of “Christ”); however, contrary
to how the masses will view it, it will actually help establish and set
up the antichrist and his one- world government.

In order for this to happen, all religions must
come together in an ecumenical plan. Today, as part of this Satanic
scheme, the evangelical/Protestant church is being drawn seductively
into the Roman Catholic church, largely through what we call “The Jesuit
Agenda.” Incredibly, while the evidence is obvious to some, the
majority of proclaiming Christians are not at all aware it is happening.

So, what should we expect if we are in the time
when such a system unfolds? First, many who once were Protestant and
evangelical will become ecumenical and eventually assimilate with the
Roman Catholic church. Second, all religions will unite in solidarity of
purpose. Understanding the Jesuit Agenda is essential if we are to
understand how this worldwide deception will come about.

 Who are the Jesuits?

Since its foundation, the Catholic papacy has
been zealous and often brutal in its endeavor to establish the kingdom
of the Pope (of whom it is believed within the Catholic church is headed
by Jesus Christ). In fact, the Pope has been referred to as the “Vicar
of Christ.” This determination was witnessed during the Inquisition
where countless thousands, if not millions, died cruelly for resisting
Rome. Foxe’s Book of Martyrs describes many of these atrocities.

While many believers in Christ during the
Reformation period attempted to spread the truth that God’s Word was
truly God’s Word and could not be squandered and kept hostage by the
papacy and the Catholic Church, it was not long before the Counter
Reformation was founded to bring the “Separated Brethren” back to the
“Mother of All Churches.”

This Counter Reformation was largely headed by
Ignatius Loyola, the man who founded the Jesuit Order in the mid 1500s
and launched an all-out attack against those who dared stand against the
papacy and Rome. This excerpt from Foxe’s Book of Martyrs gives us an idea of the nature and determination of this Counter Reformation:

The emperor Ferdinand, whose hatred of the
Bohemian Protestants was without bounds, not thinking he had
sufficiently oppressed them, instituted a high court to prosecute the
reformers upon the plan of the Inquisition, with this difference, that
the court was to travel from place to place and always to be attended by
a body of troops. This court was conducted chiefly by Jesuits and from
their decision there was no appeal, by which it may be easily
conjectured that it was a dreadful tribunal indeed.

This bloody court, attended by a body of
troops, made the tour of Bohemia. They seldom examined or saw a
prisoner, for the soldiers were permitted to murder the Protestants as
they pleased and then to make a report of the matter to them afterward.1

You see, the Jesuits were commissioned by the Pope to do whatever it took to end the Protestant Reformation. The 1540 Constitution of the Jesuits states:

[L]et whoever desires to fight under the sacred banner of the Cross, and to serve only God
and the Roman pontiff, His vicar on earth, after a solemn vow of
perpetual chastity,- let him keep in mind that he is part of a society,
instituted for the purpose of perfecting souls in life and in Christian doctrine,
for the propagation of the faith . . . Let all members know, and let it
be not only at the beginning of their profession, but let them think
over it daily as long as they live, that the society as a whole, and
each of them, owes obedience to our most holy lord, the pope, and the other Roman pontiffs, his successors, and to fight with faithful obedience for God. (Emphasis added.)

While most Christians think that the Counter
Reformation is a thing of the past because we are not seeing
Inquisitions today, this movement continues until today and with renewed
effort through various avenues of the evangelical/Protestant church. In
a way, it is more insidious than the Inquisitions, because now it has
infiltrated Christianity and is being disguised as the “new”
Christianity. (Rick Warren promotes it as the “new” or second reformation.)
But disguised or not, it is the Jesuit Agenda, and it is bringing about
ecumenism and a one-world religion. And at the same time, it is
attempting to destroy the message that so many died for –  the message
that Jesus Christ is not found in a wafer and a cup of juice to be
re-crucified day after day but has died once and for all for the sins of
man and offers a salvation that is an entirely free gift, unearned to
those who believe on Him (Hebrews 7:27; 10:11-14).

 Who Was Ignatius Loyola?

After a serious injury in the military and
during a lengthy rehabilitation, Ignatius Loyola (b. 1491, d. 1556)
turned his focus from “military enthusiasm to ghostly fanaticism.”2
Ignatius assumed the name and office of Knight of the Virgin Mary,
seeing himself as Mary’s favorite. Ignatius wanted to start a new order,
The Society of Jesus (or the Jesuits) and presented the idea to the
Pope. He told the Pope that the idea had been inspired by heavenly
revelations. At first, the Pope hesitated, but when Ignatius added a
fourth vow (in addition to the regular poverty, chastity, and
obedience), “absolute subservience to the pope,” promising to do
whatever the Pope wanted and go wherever he wanted, the Pope agreed and
sent the new order out to “invade the world.” While other monks of other
orders sought to separate themselves from the world, the Jesuits went
out into the world and obeyed whatever command the Pope gave. Often this
was to win the world with the sword. No violent act was withheld if the
order came from their top “general.”3

In time, the Jesuits entered the education
system, especially that of the Protestants. The Jesuit maxim was: “Give
us the education of the children of this day – and the next generation
will be ours.”4 The Reverend W. C. Brownlee, D.D. stated: “They
pretended to be converted and to enter into Protestant churches.” One
Jesuit even boasted that the Jesuits were successfully able to imitate
the Puritan preachers. They used trickery and deception to become “all
things to all men.” Within 48 years, there were eleven thousand Jesuits
around the world, quite a large number for back then. 5

By 1773, the order was abolished because of
their horrible reputation of bloodiness, deception, and immorality.
However, they were reinstated fully in 1814 by Pope Pius VII. Even by
this time, the influence and infiltration into the United States by the
Jesuits was significant.

In 1857, the Reverend W.C. Brownlee, D.D. compiled a book of a translated document called Secret Instructions of the Jesuits (found on the Boston College Libraries website, for one). While Catholic sources say that the Secret Instructions of the Jesuits
is an untrue document, there is enough evidence to indicate that it is
true indeed. Naturally, it is so indicting against the papacy and the
Jesuit Order that one can understand from a human point of view why
Catholic sources would say the document isn’t true. But the facts are
that the Jesuit Order was performing brutal cruel acts to bring the
world to “Christ” and the Mother Church and that they were infiltrating
every area of society to do so. This cannot be denied. Brownlee’s book
would be a worthwhile read for those who wish to understand more of the
history of the Jesuits.

The Jesuit Oath

It is said that the ancient Jesuits took the
Jesuit Oath. This has been refuted by Catholic sources as a true oath
taken by Jesuits of the past; nevertheless, there is evidence enough
that the oath did exist to include excerpts of it in this report. We
have taken these excerpts from a book titled Political and Economic Handbook by Thomas Edward Watson published in 1916, and found in the Harvard College library:

I do declare from my heart, without mental
reservation, that the Pope is Christ’s Vicar General and . . .  He hath
power to depose Heretical Kings, Princes, States  . . .  that they may
safely be destroyed. Therefore, to the utmost of my power I will defend
this doctrine. . . . I do further declare the doctrine of the Church of
England, of the Calvanists [sic], the Huguenots, and other Protestants to be damnable and those to be damned who will not forsake the same.

I do further declare that I will help,
assist, and advise all or any of His Holiness agents in any place
wherever I shall be; and to do my utmost to extirpate [exterminate] the
heretical Protestant doctrine, and to destroy all their pretended power.
(p. 437)

In another version of the Jesuit Oath, the
Jesuit is asked to promise that he will make “relentless war” against
“all heretics, Protestants” and to “hang, burn, waste, boil, flay,
strangle, and bury alive these infamous heretics” (found in U.S. House
Congressional Record, 1913, p. 3216).

The Jesuit Agenda Today

While we are not saying that Jesuits today are
murdering Protestants if they don’t convert to Catholicism, we are
saying that the determination and efforts to convert Protestants back to
the Mother Church still exist. Basically, while the methods may have
changed, the plan and objectives have not. The following quote from an
article titled “Essay on Popery” by Rev. Ingram Cobbin M.A. (taken from one edition of Foxe’s Book of Martyrs) is insightful:

The Jesuits, though at times expelled or
pretendedly so from Rome, have been its awful emissaries to augment its
power.  The intrigues and deceptions of these men would fill volumes,
and the conveniency of their creed to deny or affirm anything, or assume
any profession as it may serve their purpose, is too well known to need
recapitulating here.  These men have at times assumed so much that
every papal state has alternately ejected them; and large numbers are
now in this country—doubtless many under false colours —waiting the most
favourable opportunities to corrupt the rising generation, and, as much
as possible, restore the dark days of former ages.  The Jesuits are
unchangeable.

The Jesuits were driven in the past to bring
back the lost brethren, and they are driven today with the same vision.
Today, that vision is part of the pope’s Eucharistic Evangelization,
drawing people to the Eucharistic Christ. The Eucharistic Evangelization
is discussed at length in Another Jesus: The Evangelization of the Eucharistic Christ and in several articles on the Understand the Times website.

Jesuit (Mystical) Spirituality and the Protestant/Evangelical Church

So if the methods of converting lost or
prodigal souls back to Rome have changed, what is the method to
accomplish these goals today? It is largely through what is called
Jesuit Spirituality. A 2002 book titled Contemplatives in Action: The Jesuit Way
reveals how the Jesuit order has had and continues to have a “great
influence” in people around the world. It attributes this “vitality” to
“its spirituality” which has also “evoked fierce loyalty and fierce
opposition.”6

What is the spirituality of the Jesuits that
was so controversial? By their very roots, Jesuits are proponents of
mystical prayer practices. The founder of the Jesuits, Ignatius Loyola,
created “spiritual exercises” that incorporated mysticism, including lectio divina. Today, millions of people worldwide practice the “Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola.”

One Jesuit priest who resonates with the mystical spiritual outlook is Anthony De Mello (d. 1987), author of Sadhana: A Way to God. De Mello is often quoted today by contemplative and emerging authors and embraced the mysticism of Hinduism. He stated:

To silence the mind is an extremely difficult
task. How hard it is to keep the mind from thinking, thinking,
thinking, forever thinking, forever producing thoughts in a never ending
stream. Our Hindu masters in India have a saying: one thorn is removed
by another. By this they mean that you will be wise to use one thought
to rid yourself of all the other thoughts that crowd into your mind. One
thought, one image, one phrase or sentence or word that your mind can
be made to fasten on. – Anthony de Mello, Sadhana: A Way to God (St. Louis, the Institute of Jesuit Resources, 1978), p. 28 (cited from A Time of Departing, by Ray Yungen, p. 75).

Ray Yungen explains that Sadhana “is very open in its acknowledgment of Eastern mysticism as an enrichment to Christian spirituality.”

It doesn’t take a long search to find De Mello
within the evangelical/Protestant camp. In fact, Richard Foster, one of
the pioneers of the evangelical spiritual formation (contemplative)
movement wrote the introduction to one of De Mello’s books, The Sacrament of the Present Moment. In A Glimpse of Jesus, popular contemplative author Brennan Manning quotes De Mello. Amazon shows that De Mello’s book, The Sacrament of the Present Moment is
cited in 82 books, some of which are written by some of
evangelicalism’s most popular authors: John Ortberg, Richard Foster, Jan
Johnson, Philip Yancey, and Calvin Miller – incidentally all these are
contemplative advocates.

Another example of Jesuit influence in the evangelical/Protestant church is the Be Still
DVD, where Richard Foster quotes 18th century Jesuit priest, Jean
Nicholas Grou as saying: “O Divine Master, teach me this mute language
which says so much.” This “mute language” Grou speaks of is the mystical
“silence” practiced by contemplatives and mystics throughout all
religions.

One of the key figures in the “new” progressive Christianity today is Leonard Sweet. Sweet has partnered on a number of occasions with Rick Warren and speaks at evangelical events frequently. In Sweet’s book, Quantum Spirituality, he states:

Mysticism, once cast to the sidelines of the
Christian tradition, is now situated in postmodernist culture near the
center. . . . In the words of one of the greatest theologians of the
twentieth century, Jesuit philosopher of religion/dogmatist Karl Rahner,
“The Christian of tomorrow will be a mystic, one who has experienced
something, or he will be nothing.” [Mysticism] is metaphysics arrived at
through mindbody experiences. (p. 76)

How fitting that Sweet would quote a Jesuit priest’s prediction about the “Christian” of the future.

Tony Campolo, another popular figure in the evangelical church, reveals something quite interesting in his book, Letters to a Young Evangelical. In the book, he explains the role mysticism had in him becoming a Christian. He explains:

I learned about this way of having a born-again experience from reading Catholic mystics, especially The Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola. (p. 30, see “Coming to Christ Through Mysticism,” Oakland )

For skeptics who may need further evidence that
Jesuit Spirituality has come into the evangelical/Protestant church,
consider this. In 2006, Baker Books, one of evangelicalism’s top book
publishers, released a book titled Sacred Listening: Discovering the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola written by James Wakefield. A publisher description of the book states:

Central to the Society of Jesus (Jesuits),
the Spiritual Exercises is a manual used to direct a month-long
spiritual retreat. Now adapting these time-honored Exercises
specifically for Protestant Christians, James L. Wakefield encourages
readers to integrate their secular goals with their religious beliefs
and helps them reflect on the life of Jesus as a model for their own
discipleship.7

Wakefield’s book, devoted to the Jesuits and
Ignatian Exercises, should be proof enough that the Jesuit Agenda has
entered the Christian church and that mysticism is the tool by which the
Jesuit Agenda is largely being brought into the lives of countless
evangelicals and Protestants. Is it any wonder Wakefield’s book found
praise within the Jesuit community? Armand M. Nigro, professor emeritus
at the Jesuit school, Gonzaga University, said:

As a Jesuit for 62 years, I have been formed
by the Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola, our principal founder. I
rejoice, then, at the long-awaited publication of Sacred Listening. It will be for its readers, I hope, a classic manual for spiritual growth in genuine mystical prayer. (on back cover of book)

Incidentally, Eugene Peterson, author of The Message wrote an endorsement of Wakefield’s book on the front cover.

These are just a few of a great many examples
where the “Jesuit Spirituality” has come into the Protestant church;
thus this new modern (post-modern) mystical method to accomplish the
goals of the papacy is working.

If Protestants and evangelicals can be convinced to practice mysticism (i.e., contemplative), this conditions them
to begin embracing Rome and even all religions. It’s important to
understand that mysticism is the bridge that unites all the religions of
the world. In order to unite them, there would need to be a uniting,
common denominator, so to speak. That common uniting medium is
mysticism. Thomas Merton recognized this. In a conversation he was
having with a Sufi master, the topic of Christian atonement arose. The
Sufi master said this was an area they could never agree on, to which
Merton replied:

Personally, in matters where dogmatic beliefs
differ, I think that controversy [atonement] is of little value because
it takes us away from the spiritual realities into the realm
of words and ideas . . . in words there are apt to be infinite
complexities and subtleties which are beyond resolution. . . . But much
more important is the sharing of the experience of divine light, . . . It is here that the area of fruitful dialogue exists between Christianity and Islam.8 (Emphasis added.)

Tilden Edwards, co-founder of the Shalem Institute (where Ruth Haley Barton
was educated), would agree with Merton. He said, “This mystical stream
[contemplative prayer] is the Western bridge to Far Eastern
spirituality” (Spiritual Friend, p. 18). And in a New Age book titled, As Above, So Below,
the author states (quoting Aldous Huxley) that “the metaphysical
[mystical] that recognizes a divine reality” is the “highest common
factor” that “links the world’s religious traditions.” And even
evangelical-turned-emerging author Tony Campolo recognizes this
commonality in mysticism when he states: “Beyond these models of
reconciliation, a theology of mysticism provides some hope for common
ground between Christianity and Islam” (pp 149-150).

Incidentally, when we say all the religions of
the world uniting, we include the New Age movement (perhaps one of the
largest “religions” in the world today). New Agers believe that in order
to enter into an age of enlightenment (or Age of Aquarius), the world
needs to become “vibrationally sympathetic,” meaning that a sufficient
mass (critical mass) of people will need to engage in mystical prayer.9

The Counter Reformation Continues

Jesuit influence in the world today is
everywhere: in the business world, in education, in government, and yes,
in the evangelical/Protestant church.  According to Contemplatives in Action: The Jesuit Way,
there are over one million people living in the United States alone who
have graduated from Jesuit high schools, colleges, and universities
(Introduction, p. 1).

While there have often been tensions between
the Pope and the Jesuit Order over various issues, the current Superior
General of the Jesuit Order, Adolfo Nicolas Pachon, reassured the Jesuit
commitment to Rome when he stated:

The Society of Jesus was born within the
Church, we live in the Church, we were approved by the Church and we
serve the Church. This is our vocation…[Unity with the pope] is the
symbol of our union with Christ. It also is the guarantee that our
mission will not be a ‘small mission,’ a project just of the Jesuits,
but that our mission is the mission of the Church.”10

Where Else in Evangelicalism is the Jesuit Evangelism Showing Up?

Earlier this year, Understand the Times released an article titled Jerry Boykin and the Calvary Chapel Connection.
It was a difficult article for many to read. People do not want to
think that Christian leaders and pastors they have trusted for years
would be so foolish as to associate with and promote someone who is part
of a group that wants to bring the “lost brethren” back to the Mother
Church. But the fact is that a high officer in the Vatican’s Jesuitical, “Knights of Malta” was a featured speaker at a Calvary Chapel sponsored Preach the Word prophecy conference.

Another example, and I believe an important
one, has to do with one of the most well-known and influential
evangelical organizations in America. Robert Siciro is a Protestant
turned Catholic Paulist priest, and he is one of the featured speakers
in the very popular Truth Project by Focus on the Family.
While the Paulist Order is not a Jesuit Order, it has basically the
same objective as the Jesuit order with regard to winning souls for the
Catholic church. According to one Catholic source , the Paulist order is “A community of priests for giving missions and doing other Apostolic works, especially for making converts to the Catholic faith.” Robert Siciro is  President of the Acton Institute,
an ecumenical think tank where, incidentally, there are scores of
articles  by or about those in the Catholic faith, including a number of
Jesuits. Now, through the Truth Project, thousands and thousands of
evangelical/Protestant Christians have been introduced, by way of proxy,
to the Eucharistic Evangelization.

The Fatima Plan

For those who are not convinced that we are
headed toward a one-world religion for “peace,”  take a trip some time
to Fatima, Portugal where annual pilgrimages bring people from the
religions of the world  to pray to “the queen of heaven,” also called
“our lady of Peace.”

Pope John Paul II was dedicated to Mary and
especially “Our Lady of Fatima.” He believed this entity saved him from
an assassin’s bullet on May 13, 1981, on the anniversary of the
so-called apparition’s appearance (to have first occurred in 1917).

People from all around the world have been
coming to Fatima to pray to “Our Lady.” At a gathering for “world peace”
in Fatima, Jesuit priest Jacques Dupuis  stated:

The religion of the future will be a general
converging of religions in a universal Christ that will satisfy all. The
other religious traditions in the world are part of God’s plan for
humanity and the Holy Spirit is operating and present in Buddhist, Hindu
and other sacred writings of Christian and non-Christian faiths as
well. The universality of God’s kingdom permits this, and this is
nothing more than a diversified form of sharing in the same mystery of
salvation.11

Fatima is just another avenue through which the Jesuit Agenda is being accomplished.

In Summary

Perhaps the best way to understand the Jesuit
Agenda that undermines biblical Christianity is to recognize the move
toward a so-called “social gospel” that unites the religions of the
world for the cause of peace. Like mysticism, this social gospel is a
vehicle through which all religions will be united. Who would have
believed this could have happened to the Protestant evangelical church?
But we have already been warned in Scripture that Satan’s ministers are
“transformed as the ministers of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:15).

Rick Warren has been one of the many pied
pipers of this move to unite through “good works.” Called “America’s
pastor,” Warren has become the evangelical/Protestant spokesperson for a
one-world religion. His Purpose Driven model has become the battle cry
for let just all get along and do good. We can work together as one for one common purpose – peace in the world.

Willow Creek has helped to escalate this global
religious body through their Global Leadership Summits, where they are
“bringing people together from all nationalities to complete our shared
Kingdom assignment in the Church and beyond”12 (emphasis added). Warren and Hybel’s  global agenda is moving full force throughout the earth today.

Rick Warren and Bill Hybels – protégés of Peter
Drucker, by the way – have advanced the Jesuit Agenda by leaps and
bounds. Many of these “new” Christianity, new reformation leaders have
ignored the prophetic warnings of Jesus Christ’s soon return based on
the signs we see from Bible prophecy. Instead, they promote the
establishment of the kingdom of God with all the world’s religions.

The emerging church movement, which has been
widely propagated by Warren, Hybels, and a host of other Christian
figures, has been used by Satan to quickly bring about this worldwide
deception by introducing mystical experiences and the social gospel to
an entire generation of young people. Sensual experiences that tickle
the flesh of the postmodern generation are often the same ones that Rome
has used in the past to convince the faithful that they have
encountered the God of the Bible. History reveals that history is
repeating, and the same tools of delusion are being used over and over.

Those who shine the light on the Jesuit Agenda
are considered to be conspiratorial crackpots. The prophets of the past
when they exposed the Babylonian worship by the leaders of Israel were
also deemed to be crazy, as have been Bible-believing Christians since
Christianity began. One of those was John Huss  (1372-1415). John Foxe
describes what happened:

[Huss] compiled a treatise in which he
maintained that reading the books of Protestants could not be absolutely
forbidden. He wrote in defense of Wickliffe’s book on the Trinity; and
boldly declared against the vices of the pope, the cardinals, and clergy
of those corrupt times. He wrote also many other books, all of which
were penned with a strength of argument that greatly facilitated the
spreading of his doctrines. . . . 13

Eventually Huss was arrested, and when he was
brought before the council (of the papacy), he was mocked and called “A
ringleader of heretics,” to which he replied:

My Lord Jesus Christ, for my sake, did wear a
crown of thorns; why should not I then, for His sake, wear this light
crown, be it ever so shameful? Truly I will do it and willingly.14

At 43 years of age, John Huss was burned at the
stake, singing hymns during the brutal execution. Why was he called a
“ringleader of heretics”? For standing up for biblical truth against the
Pope and Rome.

Discerning Christians should be asking many
questions. But one question that stands out foremost is: why are so few
saying anything about the Jesuit Agenda? Do they see it but are afraid
to speak? Or do they see it and are part of it?

Speaking of questions, Jesus asked one: “[W]hen
the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).
Will He find it in the pastors and theological professors? Will He find
it in your own church? Or will He only find those who have remained
silent?

Just as God raised up others to carry the torch
of truth after Huss was eliminated from this earth, God will and is
raising up others today who are willing to risk all to stand for the
truth and speak against the lies.

To believers who are standing fast, look up, for “your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for
because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of
disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were
sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children
of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and
righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And
have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
reprove them. . . .  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools,
but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be
ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
(Ephesians 5:6-11, 15-17)

A
Lighthouse Trails reader sent Lighthouse Trails a copy of a letter he
recently received from Dallas Theological Seminary. DTS has consistently
said the school does not promote the” bad” Spiritual Formation, but we
have reported on a number of occasions that the Spiritual Formation
taught and promoted at DTS IS contemplative spirituality (which is bad).
As we have maintained since the inception of Lighthouse Trails – there
is no “good” Spiritual Formation as it always leads to the mystics and
puts practitioners in harm’s way. DTS is no exception. Our reader (who
is a DTS alumni) told us he has been receiving update letters from DTS
for years, and this is the first time he has seen them actually mention
Spiritual Formation in an alumni letter. You can read an enlarged
version of the letter by clicking on the letter below.

dtsOne
thing to note about this letter is the following statement: “Most
students are required to be part of a spiritual formation small group of
six to eight students who meet weekly for two years.” This lines up
with the special report Lighthouse Trails released in 2013 titled “An Epidemic of Apostasy – How Christian Seminaries Must Incorporate “Spiritual Formation” to Become Accredited,”  which shows how many, if not most, Christian colleges, seminaries, and universities must
include Spiritual Formation into their students’ lives if the schools
want to receive accreditation from “distinguished” accrediting
organizations. Dallas Theological Seminary was mentioned in that report:

What do Abilene Christian University,
Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Bethel Seminary, Biola Seminary,
Briercrest College and Seminary, Dallas Theological Seminary,
Eastern Mennonite Seminary, Fuller Theological Seminary, Moody
Theological Seminary & Graduate School, Multnomah Biblical Seminary,
Regent College, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and around
240 other seminaries and colleges throughout North America all have in
common? They are all accredited or in the process of being accredited
through the Association of Theological Schools (ATS).

Letter from Dallas Theological Seminary Promoting Spiritual FormationAs you can see here, https://www.ats.edu/member-schools/member-school-list#D,
DTS is included on ATS’s member school list. On the ATS website, the
term “spiritual formation” shows up over 540 times on its search engine (https://www.ats.edu/search/google/%22spiritual%20formation%22). The term “Christian formation” (another term for Spiritual Formation) shows up over 440 times.

NEW BOOK COMING: RAY YUNGEN’S “SIMPLE ANSWERS-UNDERSTANDING THE CATHOLIC FAITH”; AN EVANGELICAL PRIMER

NEW BOOK COMING: RAY YUNGEN’S “SIMPLE ANSWERS-UNDERSTANDING THE CATHOLIC FAITH”; AN EVANGELICAL PRIMER
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:
As many of you know, Lighthouse Trails beloved author and
co-laborer in Christ, Ray Yungen, passed away on October 16th 2016 at
the age of 64 due to complications from a cancer treatment. Ray had just
finished the rough draft of his book Simple Answers—Understanding the Catholic Faith:
An Evangelical Primer a few months before he went to be with the Lord. After Ray’s
passing, we had hoped to finish up the editing of his book by the end of 2016 but
were unable to complete the project. We are happy to announce that we
have finally finished the editing and end notes of the book and went to
press on September 18th. The official release date for the book will be
October 16th 2017 to commemorate the day Ray passed from this world and
into the arms of the Lord. Below is a sneak preview of the book. You
may pre-order a copy now
or wait until the book is released in October. Either way, we hope you
will get a copy of this book as we believe it is going to be an
important book that has the potential to open the eyes of many
evangelicals and other Protestants who are on the road to Rome and may
not even realize it. We also believe this book is written in such a way,
with Ray’s conversational and gracious manner, that many Catholics will
be willing to read the book as well.

During the preparation of this book, while Ray was
still with us, he told the editors at Lighthouse Trails that he had
wanted to write this book for many years and that he felt it was one of
his most important works. Interestingly, he also told us he felt somehow
that it was to be his final written work.

From Simple Answers by Ray Yungen:

BACK COVER:

The evangelical church is at a crucial point in its
history. There are many voices crying out for a dramatic change in the
way evangelicals have traditionally viewed Catholicism; these voices are
taking the church in a radically different direction, one that fits in
with Bible prophecy.

In 1991, an ex-Catholic pointed out that many Catholics
had been leaving the Catholic Church over the previous forty years. The
reason for this: Catholics were receiving simple answers from
evangelicals regarding salvation.

Today, the need for simple answers has reemerged as we
are witnessing a reversal where evangelicals are looking to the Catholic
Church for guidance on Christian living and spirituality. Much of this
is because the precepts of the Gospel are either minimized or forgotten.

It is not just a fluke or an aberration that the
evangelical churches and the Catholic Church are coming into alignment
with each other. The Catholic Church is taking a softer view of the
evangelical church, and the evangelical church is starting to downplay
the traditional and significant differences that have kept it at bay
with the Roman Catholic Church.

Simple Answers is a presentation of the facts regarding
salvation according to the Gospel in contrast to the teachings of the
Catholic Church.

The Introduction:

In 1991, an article written by ex-Catholic Mark Christensen appeared in the Jesuit publication, America,
that would be seen as highly unusual for a Catholic magazine. The
article was about the consternation of Catholic bishops in the United
States on the massive flood of people over the prior forty years leaving
the Catholic Church and embracing the evangelical view. They attributed
this to the simple answers that the evangelicals had to offer regarding
salvation.1

The author was commenting on a meeting that took
place by Catholic bishops on how to halt the flow of Catholics into the
evangelical churches. What made this article so remarkable was the
candid way in which the writer explained why he had left the Catholic
Church. The reasons he expressed were basically the traditional
Protestant objections to the Roman Catholic faith—not so much in
specific doctrinal details but in a general sense. Paraphrasing what he
said, he spoke of growing up in a Catholic culture. Throughout his life,
being a Catholic was central to his personal identity, and the Church
was very much a part of his life. Even after leaving, he maintained a
personal resonance with friends and family members still in the Catholic
Church.

Despite his feelings toward certain individuals, he
explained that he didn’t want to slander the Catholic Church because he
had tremendous respect for some of the people in it. But, he said, “what
I hear coming from the mouths of ex-Catholics as their number-one
reason for leaving the Catholic Church is that they never heard the
Gospel. He explained it this way:

“Dearly loved family and friends, that is why I left
and why I think most leave the Catholic Church for Evangelicalism. . . .
We left because we met Jesus Christ, and He changed our lives. And He
changed our lives in a way we never knew in the Catholic Church. . . .
Millions of other former Catholics beside myself couldn’t hear this
Gospel within the Catholic Church.”2

At the end of the article, he urged the bishops to
examine the evidence regarding the charges he made and ask the question
why all these once devoted members had to “go elsewhere to find their
spiritual food.”

As I said, it was astounding to read this article in a
Catholic magazine. There was no Church response trying to refute him.
There was no defense. In essence, it was just a plain indictment as to
what the Catholic Church does teach regarding salvation. Perhaps because
the magazine is a Jesuit publication and the Jesuits are known for
being the intellectuals of the Catholic Church, the publishers thought
it was intellectually healthy to air opposition. Or maybe they were so
sure of themselves that the Catholic Church is the “one true church”
that nothing anyone says could dissuade them from this confidence.
Perhaps they thought the article could serve as some food for remedial
thought in bringing the flock back into the fold. But regardless, the
controversy that was brought out is that the evangelicals were luring
Catholics away with simple answers to salvation.

In this book, Simple Answers, I will attempt
to bring out the spiritual dynamics of these two different systems and
how they stack up with each other from a biblical point of view. Of
course, there are many books written by Catholic apologists that attempt
to show that the Catholic Church is rooted firmly in Scripture. I will
use some of these books in the controversy we are going to examine.

The evangelical church is at a crucial point in its
history, and many in that camp are at a present-day crossroad that is
drawing them to the practices (and ultimately membership) of the
Catholic Church. There are many voices crying out for a dramatic change
in the way evangelicals have traditionally viewed Catholicism; these
voices are taking the church in a radically different direction. But
when we discover the simple answers to the questions being asked about
salvation and the Christian walk,  it becomes clear that this paradigm
shift in the evangelical church is fitting in with Bible prophecy.
