Mar 2016) Survivors of clerical sexual abuse in Australia condemned
Cardinal George Pell’s lack of empathy in his testimony before the
Australian Royal Commission on Child Sexual Abuse on Thursday.
Pell
told the inquiry via videolink from Rome that he was a priest in the
Australian city of Ballarat in 1974 when an unnamed student at St.
Patrick’s College told him that Christian Brothers teacher Edward Dowlan
“is misbehaving with boys.”
Asked by commission chairman Peter McClellan what he did about it, Pell replied: “I didn’t do anything about it.”
One
victim, Peter Blenkiron appeared to be struggling with tears as he said

Pope Francis’ finance minister will now be moving into the permanent
offices of his new economy secretariat after receiving criticism for
taking residence in the Vatican Bank four months ago. Australian
Cardinal George Pell’s move comes amid major reorganization of
Vatican’s financial structures — an effort by the pope to reform the Vatican’s administration.
Earlier,
critics had questioned if Pell’s occupation of the spacious office of
the bank’s president was a way of showing an increased assertion over
the bank. Subsequently, questions were also raised on who really led the

The latest step clarifies that Pell will not have any direct authority

An Orthodox Jewish girls’ school in England may be forced to close
because it refuses to teach its young students the government-approved
line on LGBT issues. Vishnitz Girls School, a private school with 212 pupils aged three to
eight, has endured three inspections over the past year-and-a-half from
the British government’s Office for Standards in Education, Children’s
Services and Schools (Ofsted). According toThe Independent:
While fee-paying schools such as Vishnitz
do not operate under the same curriculum as mainstream state schools,
they are obliged to meet two separate sets of standards for sex and
relationships education laid out by the Department for Education and
Ofsted.
Ofsted makes clear that schools are not
expected to “promote” ideas about sexual orientation or gender
reassignment, but they are expected to “encourage pupils’ respect for
other people, paying particular regard to the protected characteristics
set out in the 2010 Equalities Act.”
Gill Robins of Christians in Education blogged
that the first “emergency inspection” occurred in February 2016,
supposedly for “safeguarding concerns.” Subsequent inspections have
found that all Ofsted’s concerns but one have been addressed. The latest
report says that pupils are “well motivated, have positive attitudes to
learning and are confident in thinking for themselves”; teachers are
excellent; assessments are properly utilized; students are well-behaved;
and the school environment is safe. The report even praises the school
for being “clearly focused on teaching pupils to respect everybody,
regardless of beliefs and lifestyle.”
There’s just one problem, as Ofsted sees it: Because of their faith,
the school’s administrators refuse to teach their young charges about
sexual orientation and gender reassignment. “This,” inspectors wrote,
“restricts pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and
does not promote equality of opportunity in ways that take account of
differing lifestyles.” In short, if the school’s orthodoxy conflicts
with present-day progressive orthodoxy, the school must jettison its
very raison d’être.
An Ofsted spokesperson told The Independent, “Parents have
the right, on behalf of their children, to expect an education that
conforms to their religious beliefs and is in compliance with the law.”
But what happens when their immutable religious beliefs conflict with
the ever-changing law? Parents are paying roughly $6,600 a year to send
their girls to Vishnitz, presumably because they desire to educate them
in the Jewish faith and all it entails, including opposition to
homosexual behavior and transgenderism. School officials, perhaps
fearing eternal consequences more than temporal ones, told inspectors
they would not change their policy on such matters.
According to guidance on regulating
independent schools, “schools that do not meet the standards must
improve so they do meet them, or close.”
If a school found to be failing any of
the independent school standards does not improve, the [Department for
Education] has the power to take it off the register, making it a
criminal offense to remain open.
Those hostile to faith certainly want to see that happen. Jay Harman, an education campaign manager at Humanists UK, told Schools Week,
“If schools are not willing to meet the required standards and are
found to be failing time and time again, proper sanctions must be
implemented.”
“The argument used to justify such sanctions,” penned Robins, “is
that [sexual orientation and transgenderism] are protected
characteristics. So is religious belief, but it’s now been made crystal
clear by Ofsted that the Equality Act is actually hierarchical, with
sexual orientation and gender reassignment at the apex of the Act. All
equalities are equal, but some equalities are more equal than others.”
Ofsted, in the words of Catholic Member of Parliament Sir Edward
Leigh, “appears to be guilty of trying to enforce a kind of
state-imposed orthodoxy on certain moral and religious questions.” Yet
even that isn’t enough to satisfy the militant Left. According to The Independent,
“LGBT campaigners warned the policy still left ‘loopholes’ for
religious schools in that they are allowed some flexibility in their
teaching … ‘in keeping with their faith.’” Undoubtedly they will push
for increasingly strict standards that will eventually outlaw the
teaching of anything conflicting with the LGBT agenda.
Thus, it is difficult to argue with Robins’ assessment that “there is
little chance of the Jewish community being allowed to continue to live
in peace, with parents raising and educating their children as they
think best.” Indeed, another Jewish school, Bnos Zion of Bobov, has
already been investigated for making “no reference to protected
characteristics for sexual orientation and gender reassignment,” reports Schools Week.
Christian schools that adhere to traditional biblical teachings
cannot be far behind. “In 2014 a highly ranked Catholic school in
Suffolk drew criticism from government inspectors for allegedly failing
to prepare students for modern life in Britain,” notes the Catholic News Agency.
“The school filed a formal complaint about the investigation. The
school said parents complained that the inspectors asked children as
young as ten about same-sex sexual acts and transsexualism.”
With religious belief and sexual orientation both “protected
characteristics” under the law, Robins asserts that the government has
“just two options — protect the right of individuals to live and raise
their children in accordance with their faith, or make a mockery of the
Equality Act by closing schools that fail to comply with your LGBT
agenda.” Is there any doubt that, absent a major public outcry, the
powers that be will choose the latter?

The Islamic State has expressed its plan to “conquer Rome” as central to its mission to “defeat Christianity.” An Islamic State video also warned
that “Libya could be used as a springboard for attacks” in Italy. More
problematic for Italy is that Libyan president Fayez al-Sarraj has been refusing to take back his own people who are sent back. In April, Italy faced a similar crisis of migrants flooding in, and sent 6,242 migrants back home to North African countries.

latest influx. Figures for the year now stand at 73,380 migrants into
Italy, or a rise of 14.42 percent over the same period in 2016, when
then-record arrivals had reached 64,133.

Despite leaving office without facing justice, Obama and his top administration officials are still not out of the woods yet on the “Fast and Furious” scheme to arm Mexican drug cartels under the guise of conducting an “investigation.” This month, the House Oversight Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee released a damning report
blasting the former administration for the scandal and the subsequent
ham-handed attempt to cover it up, including obstruction of Congress and
shady dealings with the press and victims’ families. Many key documents
are still being withheld. Unsurprisingly, the establishment media has
completely ignored the latest developments in the explosive story. But
with more facts coming out, activists and victims’ families hope former
officials involved in the deadly gun-running program may still be
brought to justice for a wide range of crimes.
The latest joint staff report on the scandal, released by lawmakers
on June 7, is the third in a series of congressional reports outlining
the Obama administration’s plan to arm murderous drug cartels by
coercing U.S. gun dealers to sell them and using U.S. tax money to buy
them. Dubbed “Fast and Furious: Obstruction of Congress by the Department of Justice,”
the new report highlights what lawmakers said was the former
administration’s oftentimes illegal stonewalling and deliberate lying in
the DOJ’s efforts to cover up the crimes. It came from the top, too. Of
course, lying to Congress can itself be a crime, and Obama’s attorney
general, anti-gun extremist Eric Holder, was held in criminal contempt of Congress for his lies. However, he was never put behind bars.
The new report was scathing. “In the course of that investigation,
nearly six years ago, the Justice Department wrote to Congress and
falsely denied that law enforcement officers allowed straw purchasers to
buy firearms illegally in the United States and traffic them without
being apprehended,” explained the joint staff report’s executive
summary. “Since that false denial, the Committees have investigated why
the Department of Justice misled Congress and failed to correct its
misrepresentation in a timely manner. Despite the Department’s refusal
to cooperate, the investigation developed with the cooperation of DOJ
whistleblowers.”
Holder himself was involved in withholding “thousands of key
documents,” the report continues. And he even asked Obama to exert
so-called “executive privilege” over “all documents related to the
Department’s responses to questions from Congress about Fast and
Furious.” Obama complied, “dishonestly” purporting to justify the
administration’s refusal to comply with lawful congressional subpoenas
in order to “obstruct the investigation.” By the government’s own logic,
that strongly suggests top officials had “something to hide.”
In essence, then, the highest levels of the Obama administration were
determined to prevent the American people’s elected representatives
from doing their jobs — even if it meant openly flaunting federal law.
Finally, the courts stepped in, forcing officials to hand over some
of the documents. “The produced documents showed Holder was
significantly more involved in the response to Congress’s investigation
than had previously been understood,” the new report said. “Many key
documents are still being withheld, but the body of evidence available
at this point is sufficiently robust to conclude that there are
fundamental flaws in the Department’s approach to responding to
congressional requests for documents and information generally, and in
the Department’s tactics in dealing with questions about the Fast and
Furious case in particular.”
According to the newly available documents cited in the report,
Justice Department officials were “focused more on spin and obfuscation
than getting the facts right.” Calling the climate at DOJ headquarters
“highly politicized,” the report noted that the Obama Justice Department
was doing its best to limit the amount of disclosed information in its
dealings with Congress and the press. Even the family of Border Patrol
agent Brian Terry, who was murdered with a Fast and Furious gun, was
given the runaround by Obama’s administration, with the DOJ apparently
viewing the family as a “public relations nuisance” more than anything
else.
Other outrages documented in the report include the DOJ’s failure to
properly investigate the concerns of whistleblowers. The internal
investigations, the report said, were “deeply flawed” and “largely a
sham,” with DOJ officials accepting at face value the information they
received from the bureaucrats involved in the gun-running. Documents
obtained by Congress also revealed a lack of respect for congressional
oversight, according to the report, with lawmakers saying Obama’s top
DOJ officials, including Holder, showed “disdain” for Congress and its
role. On top of that, the documents show that the DOJ’s bizarre
responses and focus on spin and lies were coming down from Holder
himself, the report said. Numerous voices said Holder should be in jail.
One major focus of the latest report was the murder of Border Patrol Agent Terry.
“More than five years after Brian’s murder, the Terry family still
wonders about key details of Operation Fast and Furious,” the joint
staff report explained. “The Justice Department’s obstruction of
Congress’s investigation contributed to the Terry family’s inability to
find answers.” Senator Chuck Grassley, who has played a key role in the
congressional investigation, testified before the House Oversight
Committee and made similar charges. “The Department of Justice and ATF
had no intention of looking for honest answers and being transparent,”
he said. “In fact, from the onset, bureaucrats employed shameless delay
tactics to obstruct the investigation.”
Another official who testified at the House hearing was ATF Special
Agent John Dodson, one of the initial whistleblowers to come forward and
expose the scandalous scheme. In his testimony before lawmakers, Dodson
said his objection to the gun-running resulted in official reprisals,
ridicule, and being put in a “state of purgatory” within the agency.
“That decision, the single act of standing up and saying, what we are
doing is wrong,… instantly took my standing from being that of an
agent of the government — to an enemy of the state,” Dodson testified.
“ATF and DOJ officials implemented an all-out campaign to silence and
discredit me. Suffice to say, the last six to seven years at ATF have
not been the best for me or my career.”
Indeed, it was thanks to Dodson that many of the administration’s lies about Fast and Furious were exposed to lawmakers and the public in the first place.
Among other lies, Dodson’s revelations debunked the false “botched
investigation” narrative peddled by top officials — the notion that the
program was simply a well-intentioned plan gone awry to trace weapons
and arrest criminals. Instead, Dodson showed that there never was an
actual plan to actually catch any criminals. Even more absurd: the
supposed “criminals” being investigated “had been cultivated as
informants and were in fact assets of the FBI,” Dodson explained,
exploding the fake narrative pushed by the administration and its
propagandists in the establishment press.
In other words, the FBI was working with its “assets” to use U.S.
taxpayer dollars to help arm Mexican drug cartels with weapons bought at
American gun stores under orders from the ATF. “Take the government out
of this equation and nothing gets done,” Dodson noted. “No guns get
purchased, because there is no FBI money to pay for them; no guns get
sold, because ATF is not coercing the gun dealers to sell them; and no
guns get trafficked, because ATF is not using the guise of a ‘big case’
to allow it all to happen. And yet the Justice Department was happy to
let the farce continue, telling my ATF bosses they were doing a great
job.” And then, the resulting violence was used to demonize gun rights
and the Second Amendment.
For reasons that remain unclear, President Donald Trump’s Attorney
General Jeff Sessions was not willing to testify about the issue before
the House Oversight Committee. In a letter sent to committee chair Jason
Chaffetz (R-Utah), the DOJ cited ongoing litigation in the case, as
well as “settlement discussions,” for refusing to show up or at least
send somebody. “Under these circumstances, we are not in a position to
provide additional information in response to your questions, nor to
have a Department witness testify about them at a congressional
hearing,” the DOJ said in its letter. Once the litigation is over, that
may change.
While Obama and his top minions have so far escaped serious
accountability for their deadly scheming, which has contributed to
hundreds of deaths on both sides of the border, the American people
continue to demand answers. Hopefully Congress will take the probe
seriously, too. For the sake of preventing similar crimes in the future,
it is crucial that the gun running, the perjury, the criminal contempt,
the apparent effort to traffic guns to murderous criminals in order to
demonize gun rights, and all the other crimes be severely punished.
Congressional “reports” and “investigations” are no substitute for
actual justice.

President Donald Trump must
now consider revoking CNN’s White House press credentials after a new
video released by Project Veritas revealed that the network pushes
Trump-Russia hysteria despite knowing the whole story is “mostly
bullshit”.
CNN senior
producer John Bonifield was asked about the network’s breathless
coverage of the Russia investigation and allegations that Trump colluded
with Moscow to influence the election.
“Could be bullshit,” Bonifield responded. “I mean, it’s mostly bullshit right now.”
In other words, a senior producer at
CNN was caught on tape admitting that the network deliberately pushes
fake news about Donald Trump.
“I
think the president is probably right to say, like, look you are witch
hunting me. You have no smoking gun. You have no real proof,” Bonifield
went on to say.
He then admitted that CNN pushes the fake news Trump-Russia collusion story to get viewers.
Asked,
“Why is CNN constantly like Russia this, Russia that?,” Bonifield
responds, “Because it’s ratings. … Our ratings are incredible right
now.”
Three CNN journalists were also just forced to resign
after the network apologized for pushing another fake news story about
Trump advisor Anthony Scaramucci being linked to a Russian investment
fund.
Any other news outlet that
admitted it created fake news simply to make money and attract eyeballs
would be savaged by the rest of the media, put on a blacklist and
wouldn’t get anywhere near the White House.
Why
should CNN, an organization that employs activists posing as impartial
reporters like Jim Acosta, be treated any differently?
Trump must now seriously look at revoking CNN’s access to the White House.

CNN
producer John Bonifield has been caught on camera admitting that CNN’s
coverage of the Russia angle as it relates to Donald Trump is mostly BS
contrived for ratings. The audio and video were captured by undercover
journalists working with Project Veritas, an organization headed up by
James O’Keefe. Their goal is to expose the evil that happens in media
and politics. Previously they’d done an expose on Planned Parenthood
and it showed them discussing prices for certain body parts of dead
babies that had been aborted in their facilities. Now they are delving
deeper into the cabal known as the mainstream media. The video that has
been released today (June 27 2017) is the first of more that will come
in the future on this specific topic according to James O’Keefe.
A
great takeaway from the video in question is that CNN is a business
just like any other. Profit uber alles. Bonifield explained to the
undercover journalist that CNN is only getting around one million views a
night where network news like NBC is getting 20 million. So they must
figure out ways to be competitive and keep the business afloat. Prime
example of this mentality was during a meeting he described which
featured some insight from CNN’s CEO – Jeff Zucker. Donald Trump, at
the time, had just recently pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord. CNN
covered it for a day and a half. They were congratulated for that
during the meeting, but Zucker essentially said “let’s get back to what
pay our bills.” which is the Russia narrative.
Negative Russia
coverage is not isolated to CNN. It appears to be all of mainstream
media with the exception of Fox News (sometimes.) Late night talk show
hosts like Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah also do an extensive amount
of negative coverage on Russia. They all have one thing in common:
ratings. Even the old dinosaur print media such as The Washington Post
and The New York Post participate in Russia/Trump hysteria to strain
money from their dwindling bases. Alternative media has been a beacon of
light throughout all of this madness, which is why mainstream media has
been attacking alternative media personalities and their biggest
platform: YouTube.
Invoking the Red Scare in 2017 is less about
national security as it is about money. Some foot soldiers on the
ground working on the ground at these mainstream media cabals may think
differently. However, they are simply useful idiots. Once they are no
longer needed, they will simply be discarded like the three journalists
who got fired recently over a fraudulent CNN story about Donald Trump
and Russia.

practice, but they no longer live together. “Our therapist basically
said, ‘You’re a lesbian and she’s not,’” Ms. Williams said.

NEW YORK —The former longtime president of a church planting organization headquartered in New York has decided to live as a woman. Paul Williams led the Orchard Group from 1989 to 2009, an
organization that has planted churches throughout the Northeast, and
especially the New York City area, since the 1940’s. “Orchard Group has maintained the same simple statement of
beliefs since our beginning in 1948,” its website reads, noting that it
affirms the authority of the Scriptures and “[t]he necessity of the new
birth through the Holy Spirit for entering the Kingdom of God.”

Williams also worked as a teaching pastor for two
megachurches in addition to his involvement with the Orchard Group, and
was a columnist for Christian Standard Magazine.
In 2012, Williams approached his son, Jonathan Williams, to divulge that he desired to live as a woman. The news took him aback.
“We had a church Christmas party that night, so I get this
information and I have to go to the church Christmas party and pretend
everything’s okay,” Jonathan Williams, who pastors Forefront Brooklyn, told the New York Times earlier this month. “I drank too much and did my best to put on a happy face, but it was pretty brutal.”
Paul Williams was still involved with Orchard during this
time, even though not serving as president, and his son feared how the
matter might affect both of their ministries.
“I’d be upstairs crying before church—like, this is
miserable. My dad was my hero, and my dad’s not my dad any longer,” the
younger Williams explained. “I’d stop crying and come down and I’d
preach, and be really glad and say hi to everybody, and then I’d get
home and go to sleep.”
“My wife would be like, ‘You’re super depressed,’ and I’d
go, ‘I know I’m super depressed. I don’t know what to do about this.’ I
got counseling about three months after I found out. And I went to him
for three, four years dealing with it,” he outlined.
In 2013, Williams advised the Orchard Group that he had
decided to live as a woman. His resignation was consequently requested,
and he agreed. The reason for his resignation, however, was not divulged
to the public.
Paul Williams changed his name to Paula and began receiving
hormone therapy and cosmetic surgery. He and his wife went to
counseling, and the two were advised to split because “Paula” was now a
lesbian and his wife was not. While not living together, the two still
remain married and operate a counseling service together.
In 2015, Jonathan Williams—who had long struggled and
agonized over his father’s decision—explained during a church staff
meeting that Forefront Brooklyn would now move toward full participation
for homosexual and transgender members. He pointed to his children’s
unflinching reception of his father’s new presentation as being a
motivating factor, telling himself, “This is how God [too] sees my dad.”
Williams also sought out advice from progressive congregations who were homosexual and/or transgender-affirming.
However, recent reports of Paul William’s transition have saddened a number of Christians.
“Satan won on this one, because this pastor, before deciding
to come out, had already sinned in his mind. He then followed through.
Now what do you have? Our God is holy and cannot tolerate sin. Once this
guy started down this path, the Holy Spirit left him to his own
devices,” one commenter wrote. “If he repents and ask forgiveness, he
will be back in the good graces of Christ, but if not and continues down
this road, his destiny is made.”
“This is very, very sad. Psychological problems need to be
dealt with by counselors who understand the problems that cause gender
dysphoria, not by those that encourage a person to go through with
‘transitions,’” another stated. “God doesn’t make mistakes, but rather
than seek godly counsel, he decided what? That God made a mistake? That
God could not heal him of the feelings he had that made him want to be a
woman? I pray God will heal him and deliver him from his gender
dysphoria, and bring him to true faith in the Lord and His Word.”
Williams now attends Highlands Church in Denver, Colorado,
where he works as a church planter and also preaches from the pulpit on
occasion.

The Washington Post has reported--drop a ready tear — that there will be no
Iftar Dinner this year in the White House:
For the first time in nearly two decades, Ramadan has
come and gone without the White House recognizing it with an iftar or
Eid celebration, as had taken place each year under the Clinton, Bush
and Obama administrations.
And the article by Amy Wang attempts to suggest that the “tradition”
of the Iftar Dinner goes all the way back to Thomas Jefferson who, as is
well known, was asked by a visiting Muslim envoy of the Bey of Tunis,
one Sidi Soliman Mellimelli, to postpone the dinner to which Jefferson
had invited him, along with others, until after sundown, which
Jefferson, as a matter of courtesy, did.
The Post continues:
Jefferson’s decision to change the time of the meal to
accommodate Mellimelli’s [the envoy from the Bey of Tunis] observance of
Ramadan has been seized on by both sides in the 21st-century debate
over Islam more than 200 years later. Historians have cited the meal as
the first time an iftar took place in the White House — and it has been
referenced in recent White House celebrations of Ramadan as an
embodiment of the Founding Father’s respect for religious freedom.
Meanwhile, critics on the far right have taken issue with the
characterization of Jefferson’s Dec. 9, 1805, dinner as an iftar.
Notice how in the Post article it is “historians” (disinterested,
authoritative, not to be doubted) who cite that 1805 meal as the first
Iftar dinner in the White House, while those who deny that the meal was
an “Iftar dinner” are described as being on the “far right,” apparently
for no other reason than that very denial.
What actually happened is clear for those without an insensate need
to make Islam, as Barack Obama has repeatedly claimed it was, “always
part of America’s story.” And you can be as left-wing as all get out,
and still recognize that Jefferson was not putting on an Iftar dinner. A
little history will help: Mellimelli came to Washington as the envoy
of the Bey of Tunis. The Americans had blockaded the port of Tunis, in
order to force the Bey to halt his attacks on American shipping.
Mellimelli was sent to make an agreement that would end the blockade.
Invited by Jefferson to a dinner at the White House set for 3:30
(dinners were earlier in those pre-Edison days of our existence), he
requested that it be held after sundown, in accordance with his Muslim
practice, and Jefferson, a courteous man, obliged him. There is no hint
that the dinner had changed in any way; no one then called it, or
thought of it, as an “Iftar dinner.” Mellimelli himself did not describe
it as an “Iftar dinner.” There is no record of it being anything other
than the exact same dinner, the same menu, with wine (no removal of
alcohol as would be necessary were it a real Iftar dinner), the only
change being that of the three-hour delay until sunset. Nothing
Jefferson said or did at the time, or in his later writings, indicates
that he thought of that delayed dinner as an “Iftar dinner”; nor did he
think he was in any way honoring Islam.
In fact, Jefferson had a very dim view of Islam, which came out of
his experience in dealing with the Barbary Pirates, that is, the North
African Muslims (in Morocco, Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli), who attacked
Christian shipping and seized ships and Christian sailors, and then
demanded ransom. The sums were not trivial; the American Republic found
itself spending 20% of its national budget on such payments. These
continued until Jefferson became President, stopped the practice of
paying such tribute, and instead made war on the Barbary Pirates. And
that worked.
In 1786, years before he became president, Jefferson, along with John
Adams, met with the Tripolitanian envoy Sidi Haji Abdrahaman in London.
Perhaps by then Jefferson had read the Qur’an he had purchased in 1765
out of curiosity (no one knows how much of that Qur’an Jefferson may
have read, or when, though some Muslim apologists have baselessly
claimed he must have bought his Qur’an out of sympathetic interest in
Islam.) If he did read it, it would have helped him to understand the
motivations of the North African Muslims. Certainly by the time he
became President in 1801, he was determined not to negotiate with the
Barbary Pirates, but to implacably oppose with force these Muslims whom,
he knew from his encounter with Abdrahaman in London, were permanently
hostile to all non-Muslims.
In London, Jefferson and Adams had queried the Tripolitanian
ambassador “concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon
nations who had done them no injury” for the Americans had done nothing
to deserve being attacked, and the ambassador replied, as Jefferson
reported:
“It was written in their Koran, that all nations which
had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and
duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman
who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise.”
And later, Jefferson reported to Secretary of State John Jay and to
Congress at greater length, with a nearly identical quote from the
ambassador:
“The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded
on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all
nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that
it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could
be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and
that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to
Paradise.”
These reports do not sound as if they came from someone who thought
well of Islam. The more dealings Jefferson had with the representatives
of the Barbary states, and the more he learned from them directly of the
tenets of the faith, the more he began to understand the aggressive
nature of Islam, the centrality of Jihad, the inculcation of permanent
hostility toward non-Muslims, and the heavenly reward for Jihadis slain
in battle.
The Iftar dinner “tradition” begins not with Jefferson in 1805, and
that three-hour delay in a meal that was otherwise unchanged, but with
our latter-day interfaith outreach presidents — Clinton, Bush, Obama —
each of whom, in his own way, has managed to ignore or misinterpret the
texts and teachings of Islam.
That “tradition” of Iftar dinners in the White House is less than 20
years old, as compared with the other “tradition,” ten times as long,
that is, the 200 years of Iftar-less presidencies. That short-lived
“tradition” has been ended, for now, by an administration that, for all
of its self-inflicted wounds and woes in other areas, continues to
exhibit a better sense of what Islam, foreign and domestic, is all
about, than its predecessors, and has no desire to obliquely honor it.
The interfaith outreach farce that the Iftar Dinner at the White
house embodies, honoring Islam — while, all over the world, every day
brings fresh news of Muslim atrocities against non-Muslims, more than
30,000 such attacks since 9/11/2001 alone, not to mention attacks as
well against other Muslims deemed either of the wrong sect, or
insufficient in the fervor of their faith — now comes to an end, if only
for four years. That is certainly what Jefferson (and John Adams, and
that most profound presidential student of Islam, John Quincy Adams), if
not The Washington Post, would have wanted.
And since John Quincy Adams has been mentioned, why doesn’t The Washington Post
take it upon itself to share with its readers what that most scholarly
of our presidents wrote about Islam. It does not date. And it might
prove most instructive.

The
Supreme Court has reinstated Donald Trump’s travel ban that has been
heavily criticized by the public and of course, the mainstream media.
The ban is a temporary measure that will halt travel from six countries
in and around the middle east including Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen,
Syria, and Iran. It is being reported as a minor victory by the
aforementioned MSM because there is a caveat to the ban being allowed.
If a person has a sick or injured relative in the United States, then
they may have a bona fide reason for being able to skip past the travel
ban. Other than that, the ban is on. Before the Supreme Court’s
ruling, it was struck down by a temporary injunction coming from Federal
Judge Derrick Watson of Hawaii then Theodore Chuang of Maryland and was
upheld by the 4th and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Much of the
opposition to the travel ban is politically motivated. Maybe even
personal. Derrick Watson is a native Hawaiian who attended Harvard Law
School with Barack Obama. He was appointed by Obama as well. 48 hours
before Watson issued the injunction which halted Trump’s travel ban,
Barack Obama just happened to take a trip to Hawaii. Could be a
coincidence or it could be fishy as when Bill Clinton intercepted
Loretta Lynch as soon as she landed in Phoenix Arizona while she was the
Attorney General in charge of the Department of Justice’s investigation
into Hillary alongside the FBI. And the 9th Circuit Court of appeals
has a history of decisions based on liberal activism and 80% of them get
overturned.
The travel ban is up for formal talks in the court
in September of 2017 but for now, it is back in place thanks to the
majority conservative Supreme Court. Neil Gorsuch is the first Supreme
Court appointee by Donald Trump and may not be his last since Ruth Bader
Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer are now elderly. Also, conservative
justice Anthony Kennedy may retire soon. This situation could mean that
Trump has the opportunity to appoint in total, 4 new conservative
justices which would tip the scales of balance 7-2 in favor of
conservatives which would help shape the direction of the country into
the foreseeable future.

OMAHA, Neb. —A groundbreaking was recently held as part of a Nebraska
building project that will erect a church, synagogue and mosque side by side on
the same property.
Temple Israel, the American Muslim Institute and Countryside
Christian Church claim that they are being led by God to create the
multi-faith location in Omaha. “We believe that we are being led by our God to continue the
journey started by Abraham and that we are all called to be a blessing
to each other and our community,” the FAQ section of the Tri-Faith Initiative website outlines. It says that the effort combines the three because of their shared
Abrahamic faith and their belief that they all worship the same God.
“Judaism, Christianity, and Islam share a monotheistic
belief system,” the page explains. “Our traditions have many names for
God and use several languages for our sacred texts, but we share a
belief in the God of Abraham.”
The “Tri-Faith Initiative” has been in motion since 2006,
with Countryside Christian Church being the last to break ground. It
held its ceremony on June 5.
“We’ve been waiting for this moment since entering into the
Tri-Faith dialogue back in October 2013. It was a true leap of faith for
the congregation to vote in support of relocation back then,” leader
Eric Elnes told KMTV. “To see this day come is a dream coming together.
Temple Israel opened its new $21 million dollar facility in
2013, and the American Muslim Institute completed its $7 million
mosque in the spring, opening this month. A tri-faith center is also
expected to be completed in 2019, and will be used for interfaith
activities.
“Tri-Faith Initiative is already sponsoring activities
including speaking engagements, a children’s program, shared holidays
between congregations, an annual picnic, and others,” its website
outlines.
“Our mission is not about compromising anybody’s faith,”
Imam Mohamad Jamal Daoudi told CNN. “We are here to learn about each
other and to live as neighbors with each other.”
While Countryside Christian Church, part of the United
Church of Christ, already has a building 15 minutes away from the
location, it said it wanted to join the effort because it liked the
concept. Elnes said that the majority of his congregation voted for the
move, while some reports state that the matter divided the assembly.
“We are moving simply because we fell in love with the vision of Tri-Faith,” he said.
While some laud the initiative as a peacemaking move, others
have expressed concern. The Global Faith Institute, led by Dr. Mark
Christian, a former Muslim turned Christian, has several posts on its
website about the matter.
“The fundamental schism in Islam between Sunni and Shia is
irreconcilable and has resulted in centuries of strife and violence
within Islam. The idea that a mosque exists, that is open to both sects
equally; in close physical proximity and partnership with Jews and
Christians, makes this project a very appealing target for extremists of
all stripes who might wish to make a statement using violence,” he
opined.
The daughter of billionaire investor Warren Buffet, Susie
Buffet, is stated to be one of the financiers of the project, according
to the Kansas City Star. Buffet is a member of Countryside Christian Church.

Over 40 pro-family groups recently signed a letter to the charity database site
GuideStar after it labeled dozens of organizations as “hate groups” based on a
list compiled by the controversial Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).
“The ‘hate group’ list is nothing more than a political
weapon targeting people it deems to be its political enemies. The list
is ad hoc, partisan, and agenda-driven,” the correspondence read.
GuideStar added a banner atop the info pages of 46
nonprofits, which reads, “This organization was flagged as a hate group
by the Southern Poverty Law Center.”
Among those tagged as “hate groups” include Family Research Council, the
American Family Association, Liberty Counsel, the American Freedom
Defense Initiative, the Immigration Reform Law Institute, the Jewish
Institute for Global Awareness and the American College of
Pediatricians.
Guidestar CEO, Jacob Harold, told the Associated Press that
the company decided to add the warnings as a response to the increase of
“hateful rhetoric” among Americans. He said that the organization
decided to utilize SPLC’s list and trust their determinations.
“[W]e are making a judgment to trust that third party,” Harold outlined. “We feel that’s quite defensible.”
However, he said that the company was also considering
moving the warning to a not-so-prominent location on each page, as
GuideStar can’t personally state with certainty that every organization
labeled is indeed motivated by hate.
Those included on SPLC’s list state that the designation is defamatory.
“The SPLC’s primary goal is to achieve the political
submission of its opponents, but its practice of sustained demonization
in one’s community—which is what a ‘hate map’ is all about—inflames
passions of hatred and animus against its targets,” Wednesday’s letter
read.
It noted that SPLC’s hate map had been cited in 2012 when gunman Floyd Corkins went to Family Research Council’s headquarters with the intent to kill. Corkins was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
“In 2012, a shooter entered the Family Research Council
headquarters in Washington, D.C., to ‘kill as many as possible’ because
SPLC had identified FRC as a ‘hate group,’ and the killer-to-be relied
on SPLC’s website to identify targets, according to his sworn
testimony,” the correspondence outlined. “The SPLC continues to list on its website people such as
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise who was recently shot by James T.
Hodgkinson who ‘liked’ SPLC’s Facebook page,” it continued. “Does it not
concern you that within the past five years, the SPLC has been linked
to gunmen who carried out two terrorist shootings in the DC area?”
GuideStar now says that it will remove the labels, but only
out of its claim that staff had received threats from those upset about
the designations.
“Dismayingly, a significant amount of the feedback we’ve
received in recent days has shifted from constructive criticism to
harassment and threats directed at our staff and leadership,” it
remarked in a statement. “We acknowledge there is a deep, nuanced
conversation to be had with Americans of all political, cultural, and
religious backgrounds regarding how we address—and identify—hate
groups.”
The banners are expected to be removed this week, although
GuideStar says it will still provide the information if there is an
inquiry.
“If anyone’s guilty of hate, it’s the organization defining
it!” said FRC’s Tony Perkins in a blog post on the matter. “SPLC’s own
Mark Potok made no bones about the group’s ultimate agenda, saying,
‘Sometimes the press will describe us as monitoring hate crimes and so
on. … I want to say plainly that our aim in life is to destroy these
groups, to completely destroy them.’” “And they think Christians are the threat?” he asked.
“What’s worse, SPLC is quite open about the fact that their labels are
completely arbitrary [as the group once said], ‘Our criteria for a ‘hate
group,’ first of all, have nothing to do with criminality or violence…

Threats? None of our followers and members have ever killed
or plotted violence against anyone, but members of SPLC, the very group
whose defamation GuideStar cites, have killed and attempted to
assassinate any number of us.
Last week, a coalition of conservative groups and organizations working in defense of freedom submitted a letter calling
out America’s leading source of information on U.S. charities,
GuideStar, on its use flagrant use of the SPLC’s hate labels in smearing
conservative organizations.
Earlier this month, GuideStar, the world’s largest
source for information about charities, added a new feature to its
website: warning labels flagging would-be donors to nearly four dozen
nonprofits accused of spreading hate. The outcry was immediate and most
vehement from conservative groups, including Christians who said they’d
been targeted as hateful for opposing same-sex marriage.
The complaints prompted GuideStar to reverse its course. The company said it’s removing the labels “for the time being”
beginning Monday, in part because of concerns raised about their
objectivity but also because of the threats against employees.
We, the undersigned organizations and individuals,
write to express our strong disagreement with Guidestar’s newly
implemented policy that labels 46 American organizations as “hate
groups.” Your designations are based on determinations made by the
Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a hard-left activist organization.
As such, SPLC’s aggressive political agenda pervades the construction of
its “hate group” listings.
The SPLC has no bona fides to make such determinations. It is not
a governmental organization using a rigorous criteria to create its
lists, and it is not a scientifically oriented organization. The SPLC is
merely another “progressive” political organization. It gained
credibility attacking Klansmen, neo-Nazis, and skinheads – many of whom
were engaged in violence. The SPLC is now trying to export the same
tactics into areas of mainstream political discourse including debates
about immigration and sexual-identity politics.
The “hate group” list is nothing more than a political weapon
targeting people it deems to be its political enemies. The list is ad
hoc, partisan, and agenda-driven.1 The SPLC doesn’t even pretend to
identify groups on the political left that engage in “hate.” Mosques or
Islamist groups that promote radical speech inciting anti-Semitism and
actual violence are not listed by the SPLC even though many have been
publicly identified after terrorist attacks. Radical, violent leftist
environmentalists or speech suppressing thugs – like the rioting
“antifa” movement – receive no mention from the SPLC.

of ostracism and dehumanization practiced by the SPLC isn’t just about

organizations on its website, including several churches and nonprofit
Christian ministries, such as the Alliance Defending Freedom, which it
says “has supported the criminalization of gay sex and currently is
working to enact so-called ‘bathroom bills’ around the country to
prevent trans people from using public restrooms … in accordance with
their gender identities.”
“These groups are not listed on the basis of opposition to same-sex
marriage or the belief that the Bible describes homosexual activity as
sinful,” the SPLC’s website said.
But some conservative organizations complained that the center’s
lumping them together with violent racist groups wasn’t based on
objective research but on a political agenda. GuideStar’s usage of the
center’s designation, they said, undermined the website’s policy of
“neutrality.”
“One may or may not like the legal advocacy of the Alliance Defending
Freedom, but they’re not a bunch of hooded-sheet Klanners burning
crosses,” wrote Mark Kellner for the conservative-leaning “Get Religion” website, which focuses focused on religion coverage in the news media.

ago in his home state of Louisiana. Scalise said he wasn’t aware of the
group’s views, a claim with which the SPLC took issue.
Conservative media outlets seized upon GuideStar’s warning labels and
the organization’s decision to remove them. A headline in the Daily Signal,
a news platform for the conservative Heritage Foundation, blared:
“Nonprofit tracker smears dozens of conservative organizations as ‘hate
groups.’” Breitbart News reported: “Institutional Left Loses Again: Nonprofit Tracker Withdraws Inaccurate Leftist-Driven Labels Hurting Conservative Groups.”
For its part, GuideStar said in its statement that designating “hate groups” is more complicated than it had realized when it first starting using the labels.
In the weeks and months since, we have
heard from both supporters and critics of this decision, many of whom
have presented reasonable disagreements with the way in which this
information was presented. We are always open and willing to have
conversations with our users and nonprofit groups and welcomed this
feedback. We acknowledge there is a deep, nuanced conversation to be had
with Americans of all political, cultural, and religious backgrounds
regarding how we address — and identify — hate groups.
GuideStar said it will continue to make the “hate groups” information available “on request.”
Family Research Council (who was the victim of a shooting by an SPLC member) said this:
The SPLC is a partisan, hard-Left profit-machine trafficking in labels that lead to violence.
GuideStar was right to disassociate from them, and joins the good
company of the FBI and the Army (under Sec. McHugh), who’ve done the
same. This establishes GuideStar as a truly neutral source for
non-profit data.
We disavow and condemn violence in any form, and encourage GuideStar to report any threats of violence to the authorities.
We will continue to monitor “neutral” charity sites for expressions of partisan politics.

Four Republican senators broke ranks with their party’s leadership
Thursday, vowing to vote against the GOP’s latest healthcare “reform”
bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017.
Senators Rand Paul (Ky.), Ted Cruz (Texas), Ron Johnson (Wis.), and
Mike Lee (Utah) issued a joint press release upon announcing their
decision to oppose the legislation being dubbed Trumpcare.
“Currently, for a variety of reasons, we are not ready to vote for
this bill, but we are open to negotiation and obtaining more information
before it is brought to the floor,” the quartet explained. “There are
provisions in this draft that represent an improvement to our current
healthcare system but it does not appear this draft as written will
accomplish the most important promise that we made to Americans: to
repeal Obamacare and lower their healthcare costs.”
Senator Paul issued a separate statement, stating that he didn’t run
on passing “Obamacare lite.” “The current bill does not repeal
Obamacare. It does not keep our promises to the American people. I will
oppose it coming to the floor in its current form, but I remain open to
negotiations,” the self-described constitutional conservative added.
“It looks like we’re keeping Obamacare, not repealing it,” Paul commented during an interview on MSNBC.
Paul isn’t new to the fight to prevent party powerbrokers from
shoving voluminous bills down the throats of the rank and file. Just one
day prior to the release of the healthcare proposal — a bill hammered
out behind closed doors by Republican leadership — Paul announced his
intention to reintroduce a bill that would require senators to read
legislation before they voted on it.
His “Read the Bills” measure would mandate that all lawmakers be
given time to study the legislation they are being asked to consider by
requiring that all bills be made public for one day for every 20 pages
of content prior to being placed before the body of the Senate for its
deliberation.
“Legislation is too often shoved through Congress without proper
hearings, amendments, or debate, as the secrecy surrounding the Senate’s
health care bill and the pressure to vote for it with little time to
fully evaluate the proposal once again remind us,” Paul wrote in a
statement published Wednesday.
The Better Care Reconciliation Act, as released by the Republican
Party leadership on Thursday, comes in at 142 pages, thus Paul’s bill
would give legislators eight days to plow through the proposal before
being asked to impose it on the American people.
In the coming days, many journalists (perhaps even this one) will
analyze the Republican version of federally imposed healthcare. There is
a place for such an exercise. The whole of the matter comes down to one
issue and one issue only: Does the Constitution grant power to the
Congress (or the president or the federal courts) to legislate in the
area of healthcare? If the answer to that question is “No,” which I
assure you that it is, then the next step along the critical path of
constitutionalism is the 10th Amendment, which states: “The powers not
delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it
to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the
people.”
The next step, then, is for the states to reject any attempt by the
federal government — regardless of the party affiliation of the act’s
authors — to impose upon them any programs or policies associated with
the healthcare provided within them.
If it were properly understand and exercised, this tack is the
“rightful remedy” to all unconstitutional acts of the federal
government.
It is now as it was when Thomas Jefferson described it as such in the Kentucky Resolutions.
Jefferson wrote, speaking of efforts by many federal lawmakers to
usurp the authority rightfully retained by the states in the
Constitution:
Therefore this commonwealth is
determined, as it doubts not its co-States are, to submit to
undelegated, and consequently unlimited powers in no man, or body of men
on earth: that in cases of an abuse of the delegated powers, the
members of the general government, being chosen by the people, a change
by the people would be the constitutional remedy; but, where powers are
assumed which have not been delegated, a nullification of the act is the
rightful remedy: that every State has a natural right in cases not
within the compact, (casus non fœderis) to nullify of their own
authority all assumptions of power by others within their limits: that
without this right, they would be under the dominion, absolute and
unlimited, of whosoever might exercise this right of judgment for them.
While the commitment made by Senators Paul, Cruz, Johnson, and Lee is
commendable and they are to be lauded for their fidelity to their oaths
of office, the fact is, state legislators have taken a similar oath to
“support the Constitution” (see Article VI).
How can one be honestly said to support the Constitution other than
by insisting that its intent be followed, its enumeration of powers be
adhered to by federal officers, and that the states unapologetically
reject every act made by those elected federal officials that exceeds
the authority given to them in that sacred document?
Should these senators lose the battle against Trumpcare, the war to
restore this Republic and the Constitution is not lost. State lawmakers
must step into the breach and refuse to enforce all 141 pages of that
bill, standing firmly within the territory of the 10th Amendment.
According to sources on Capitol Hill, Senate Majority Leader Mitch
McConnell (R-Ky.) is pushing to get a vote on the bill before lawmakers
head home for the Fourth of July holiday.
It is ironic, for sure, that McConnell is leaning on lawmakers to get
Trumpcare — the Republicans’ repackaged proffering of ObamaCare —
passed before Independence Day, a day our ancestors asserted their right
to be free from a government “pursuing invariably the same Object
[which] evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism.”

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —The Democratic attorney general
of California, most known for filing criminal charges against the man
who recorded undercover videos of his talks with Planned Parenthood
officials, has now banned state employees from traveling to Texas in
protest of a law protecting faith-based adoption agencies from
punishment for operating in accordance with the tenets of their
religion.
He also banned government travel to Alabama and South Dakota over his
objections to similar adoption laws, as well as to Kentucky. “I am announcing today that I am adding four states to the list of
states where California-funded or sponsored travel will be restricted on
account of the discriminatory nature of laws enacted by those states,”
Xavier Becerra said in a statement on Thursday.
“While the California DOJ works to protect the rights of all our
people, discriminatory laws in any part of our country send all of us
several steps back,” he opined. “That’s why when California said we
would not tolerate discrimination against LGBTQ members of our
community, we meant it.” As previously reported,
while the Texas legislation—signed last week by Gov. Greg
Abbott—doesn’t mention specifics, some have construed the law to mean
that Christian adoption agencies may choose married couples over
unmarried, Christian couples over non-Christian and heterosexuals over
homosexuals.
“A governmental entity or any person that contracts with this state
or operates under governmental authority to refer or place children for
child welfare services may not discriminate or take any adverse action
against a child welfare services provider on the basis, wholly or
partly, that the provider has declined or will decline to
provide, facilitate, or refer a person for child welfare services
that conflict with, or under circumstances that conflict with,
the provider ’s sincerely held religious beliefs,” House Bill 3859, also
known as the “Freedom to Serve Children Act,” reads in part.
Bill author Rep. James Frank, R-Wichita Falls, denied that the bill was discriminatory against homosexuals.
“This is really to give quick, clear certainty to providers so they
can take care of children instead of fighting lawsuits,” he explained.
“We want to make reasonable accommodations so everyone can participate
in the system. Everyone is welcome, but you don’t have to think alike to
participate.”
“My guess is if you have an LGBT agency they’re going to pick an LGBT
family, and if you have a Baptist agency they may be more likely to
pick a Baptist family,” he also noted. “They’re free to do that and
should be free to do that.”
Becerra also cited Alabama’s H.B. 24, and South Dakota’s H.B. 149, in
his statement, which he opposed out of his belief that they
likewise could permit faith-based organizations to decline to place
children in homes with two men or two women.
He additionally expressed objection to Kentucky’s S.B. 17,
which declares that “[n]o recognized religious or political student
organization is hindered or discriminated against in the … selection of
leaders and members, defining of doctrines and principles, … or in
its determination that only persons committed to its mission should
conduct these activities.”
Becerra asserts that the law could permit public schools and
universities “to discriminate against classmates based on their sexual
orientation or gender identity.”
The attorney general issued his travel ban in light of a new
California law that prohibits state-sponsored travel to states that have
laws on the books deemed to be discriminatory against homosexuals.
California already prohibits state employees from traveling to North Carolina, Kansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.

not believe the arson was a hate crime. The ACLU also lists the murder
of a young Muslim woman outside a mosque that occurred Sunday. Police
currently believe
the crime was a ‘road rage incident’ and not a hate crime….Ellison
mischaracterizes some of the incidents CAIR reported by calling them
‘attacks,’ exaggerating instances like hate mail by including them in the 35-number from his tweet.”
This is all familiar. For years, Islamic advocacy groups such as the
Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) have wildly
exaggerated the incidence of anti-Muslim hate crime, often
misrepresenting crimes committed by Muslims themselves as anti-Muslim
hate crimes, in order to portray Muslims in the U.S. as victims of
widespread persecution. In reality, FBI statistics show that Jews are twice as likely to be victims of hate crimes as Muslims.
The objective is clearly to deflect counter-terror efforts, claiming
that Muslims are more victimized than victimizer, and that
counter-terror efforts are part of that victimization.
Ellison has multiple links to the Muslim Brotherhood, so this is no surprise coming from him.
“FACT CHECK: Have There Been 35 Mosque Attacks Under Trump?,” by David Sivak, Daily Caller, June 21, 2017:
Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison tweeted Sunday that there have been 35 “mosque attacks” in the Trump era.
Verdict: Unsubstantiated
Ellison exaggerates an outdated and imprecise statistic. However,
there have been a number of hate crime incidents directed at mosques in
recent months. It remains to be seen whether these incidents are part of
a growing trend. Fact Check:
In his tweet, Ellison links to a Buzzfeed article that
claims there have been around 35 “incidents of threats, vandalism and
arson at U.S. mosques since January.” The figure is roughly based on an
outdated statistic mentioned in a March press release from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
To establish a more current estimate, The Daily Caller News Foundation analyzed an ongoing list of incidents
compiled by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The analysis
found alleged incidents at about 60 mosques across the country to date.
Many of the incidents noted by CAIR are included in the ACLU listing.
The ACLU’s list relies on local news reports, so the number of
incidents could be higher if news outlets did not cover an incident or
if the ACLU could not find all instances reported by local media.
The number of “anti-mosque incidents” the ACLU compiled may also be
overstated because not all incidents were investigated by police as hate
crimes. In addition, the list includes more subjective “incidents” like
zoning disputes over the construction of new mosques.
The ACLU listed several burglaries

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A Christian school in
California has reportedly fired a preschool teacher after giving her the
choice of leaving the pornography industry or losing her job working at
the faith-based institution.
Nina Skye told Fox11 News this week she was informed by the school,
which has not been identified, that her lifestyle was in violation of
the conduct agreement that she signed when she began working at the
facility.
“[They said] I couldn’t work there because it goes against their
statement of faith [and] that it goes against their views of
fornication, like sex before marriage, and that’s what I’m doing,” she
explained. “They say it goes against the paper I signed saying I
wouldn’t do that.”
Skye said that officials tried to offer her help and a way out of the industry, but she declined.
“They were really trying to pull me away from staying in the
industry. They just really wanted me out. They offered help and advice,
but I don’t really want out of the industry,” she admitted.
She went further, telling reporters that she “loves sex” and that working as a porn actress is her “dream job.”
“It is easy money,” Skye said. “For my very first scene, I just did a
regular boy on girl scene and I got paid $2,500 on the spot. I never
had that much money, ever, just handed to me in my life.”
She has also performed in lesbian scenes as well.
On June 13, Skye posted to her social media page that her employment
had been terminated, and seemed to disagree with the decision, writing
“smh,” short for “shaking my head.”
“Got fired from a religious school just because I do porn. smh,” Skye tweeted.
She also wrote on Sunday, “Happy Father’s day to all the daddies I use to flirt with when I was a teacher and then some.”

THREE quarters of Germany’s refugees will be long-term unemployed and claiming benefits for years, it was admitted today.
Aydan Özoğuz, commissioner for immigration, refugees and integration,
told the Financial Times that only a quarter to a third of the
newcomers would enter the labour market over the next five years, and
“for many others we will need up to 10”.
The Institute for Employment Research (IAB) found only 45 per cent of
Syrian refugees in Germany have a school-leaving certificate and 23 per
cent a college degree.
Statistics from the Federal Labour Agency show the employment rate among refugees stands at just 17 per cent.
It said 484,000 of the refugees are looking for work, up from 322,000 last July — an increase of 50 per cent.
Of those, 178,500 are officially unemployed, meaning they not only
have no work but are not enrolled in any training programmes or language
courses — up 27 per cent on last July….
It was hoped the arrival of so many working-age, highly-motivated
immigrants would help end Germany’s skills shortage and solve a
demographic crisis posed by its dangerously low birth rate….

According
to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), “More than 25 percent of
college students have been diagnosed or treated by a professional for a
mental health condition within the past year.”
NAMI: “One in four young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 have [we claim] a diagnosable mental illness.”
According
to healthline.com, 6.4 million American children between the ages of 4
and 17 have been diagnosed with ADHD. The average age for the child’s
diagnosis is 7.
BMJ 2016;352:i1457: “The number of UK children and
adolescents treated with antidepressants rose by over 50% from 2005 to
2012, a study of five Western countries published in European
Neuropsychopharmacology has found.”
Getting the picture?
Children are being diagnosed and dosed with toxic drugs at a staggering rate.
But,
as I have shown in many past articles, NO so-called mental disorder is
based on a lab test. No blood, saliva, genetic, brain test. ALL 300 or
so official mental disorders are defined by menus of behaviors concocted
by committees of psychiatrists.
On that foundation, the diagnoses and the drugs are handed out.
Let’s
look at just one of the drugs: Ritalin (or any similar ADHD medicine).
After a creative child is seen fidgeting in class, looking bored,
studying what he wants to study, ignoring classroom assignments,
focusing on what interests him, he is diagnosed with ADHD. Then comes
the drug.
In 1986, The International Journal of the Addictions
published an important literature review by Richard Scarnati. It was
called “An Outline of Hazardous Side Effects of Ritalin
(Methylphenidate)” [v.21(7), pp. 837-841].
Scarnati listed a large
number of adverse effects of Ritalin and cited published journal
articles which reported each of these symptoms.
For every one of
the following (selected and quoted verbatim) Ritalin effects, there is
at least one confirming source in the medical literature:
* Paranoid delusions
* Paranoid psychosis
* Hypomanic and manic symptoms, amphetamine-like psychosis
* Activation of psychotic symptoms
* Toxic psychosis
* Visual hallucinations
* Auditory hallucinations
* Can surpass LSD in producing bizarre experiences
* Effects pathological thought processes
* Extreme withdrawal
* Terrified affect
* Started screaming
* Aggressiveness
* Insomnia
* Since Ritalin is considered an amphetamine-type drug, expect amphetamine-like effects
* Psychic dependence
* High-abuse potential DEA Schedule II Drug
* Decreased REM sleep
* When used with antidepressants one may see dangerous reactions including hypertension, seizures and hypothermia
* Convulsions
* Brain damage may be seen with amphetamine abuse.
Under this
chemical assault on the brain, what are the chances that a creative
child will go on in life to become an innovator, rather than a victim of
psychiatric drugging?
Make a list of your favorite innovators.
Imagine them as bored distracted children sitting in classrooms…and then
diagnosed, and then hammered with drugs prescribed by a doctor.
This is happening now.
The institution of psychiatry is making it happen.
What
about the consequences of diagnosing clinical depression in larger
numbers of young children? What about the antidepressant drugs?
Here is just a sprinkling of information about antidepressants, from a huge body of literature:
Psychiatrist
Peter Breggin: February 1990 American Journal of Psychiatry (Teicher et
al, v.147:207-210) reports on “six depressed patients, previously free
of recent suicidal ideation, who developed `intense, violent suicidal
preoccupations after 2-7 weeks of fluoxetine [Prozac] treatment.’ The
suicidal preoccupations lasted from three days to three months after
termination of the treatment. The report estimates that 3.5 percent of
Prozac users were at risk. While denying the validity of the study,
Dista Products, a division of Eli Lilly, put out a brochure for doctors
dated August 31, 1990, stating that it was adding `suicidal ideation’ to
the adverse events section of its Prozac product information.”
An
earlier study, from the September 1989 Journal of Clinical Psychiatry,
by Joseph Lipiniski, Jr., indicates that in five examined cases people
on Prozac developed what is called akathesia. Symptoms include intense
anxiety, inability to sleep, the “jerking of extremities,” and
“bicycling in bed or just turning around and around.” Dr. Peter Breggin
comments that akathesia “may also contribute to the drug’s tendency to
cause self-destructive or violent tendencies … Akathesia can become the
equivalent of biochemical torture and could possibly tip someone over
the edge into self-destructive or violent behavior … The June 1990
Health Newsletter, produced by the Public Citizen Research Group,
reports, ‘Akathesia, or symptoms of restlessness, constant pacing, and
purposeless movements of the feet and legs, may occur in 10-25 percent
of patients on Prozac.’”
The well-known publication, California
Lawyer, in a December 1998 article called “Protecting Prozac,” details
some of the suspect maneuvers of Eli Lilly in its handling of suits
against Prozac. California Lawyer also mentions other highly qualified
critics of the drug: “David Healy, MD, an internationally renowned
psychopharmacologist, has stated in sworn deposition that `contrary to
Lilly’s view, there is a plausible cause-and-effect relationship between
Prozac’ and suicidal-homicidal events. An epidemiological study
published in 1995 by the British Medical Journal also links Prozac to
increased suicide risk.”
When pressed, proponents of these SSRI
antidepressant drugs (Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, etc.) sometimes say, “Well,
the benefits for the general population far outweigh the risk.” But the
issue of benefits will not go away on that basis. A shocking
review-study published in The Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases
(1996, v.184, no.2), written by Rhoda L. Fisher and Seymour Fisher,
called “Antidepressants for Children,” concludes: “Despite unanimous
literature of double-blind studies indicating that antidepressants are
no more effective than placebos in treating depression in children and
adolescents, such medications continue to be in wide use.”
In wide use. This despite such contrary information and the negative, dangerous effects of these drugs.
There

(10-17 years old) who had treatment with fluoxetine (Prozac) for
obsessive-compulsive disorder.
July, 1991. Journal of Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry. Hisako Koizumi, MD, describes a thirteen-year-old
boy who was on Prozac: “full of energy,” “hyperactive,” “clown-like.”
All this devolved into sudden violent actions which were “totally unlike
him.”
September, 1991. The Journal of the American Academy of
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Author Laurence Jerome reports the case
of a ten-year old who moves with his family to a new location. Becoming
depressed, the boy is put on Prozac by a doctor. The boy is then
“hyperactive, agitated … irritable.” He makes a “somewhat grandiose
assessment of his own abilities.” Then he calls a stranger on the phone
and says he is going to kill him. The Prozac is stopped, and the
symptoms disappear.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A televangelist and so-called “prosperity preacher” with ties to Charlotte has been indicted by a federal grand jury.
Pastor Todd Coontz is accused of failing to pay taxes and filing
false tax returns, as well as hiding assets that were paid for by
donations. The U.S. attorney said, “This is a classic example of, ‘Do as
I say, not as I do.’”
WSOCTV reporter Jim Bradley began investigating Coontz nearly five years ago.
As a cable TV evangelist, Coontz promised financial miracles for people who sent money to his ministry.
“You need to plant the $273 recovery seed. I’m only going to give you
two to three minutes to respond,” Coontz once told his viewers.
Coontz posted videos on Twitter as recently as Wednesday, promising financial blessings to the faithful.
“Suddenly miracles are happening. I want to work with your faith for quick things, swift things,” Coontz said in the video.
In February 2013, a WSOC investigation revealed some of Coontz’s own
“blessings,” which included a $1.38 million condo at a building on the
corner of Providence and Sharon Amity roads. In the garage of that
building was his Ferrari and his Maserati.
A federal criminal indictment on Thursday pointed to those exact same assets in WSOC’s investigation.
The condo was purchased by Coontz’s Rockwealth Ministries as
“parsonage” for him, according to the indictment. The court documents
said the cars were also titled in the name of the ministry.
The U.S. Secret Service started looking into Coontz and Rockwealth Ministries as a result of the WSOC investigation.
The indictment revealed delinquent tax returns from as far back as
2000. From 2010-2013, Coontz owed more than $326,000 in taxes.
Investigators said he also hid his income from the Internal Revenue
Service by cashing checks he received from churches and ministries for
travel and speaking engagements and then claiming that same travel as
business expenses.
The indictment also revealed he used business funds to pay for
personal expenses, such as more than $227,000 for clothes, $140,000 at
restaurants and more than 400 charges at movie theaters.
Coontz’s defense attorney, Mark Foster, said the indictment makes allegations but isn’t proof.
“He’s otherwise is a good man,” Foster said. “He’s tried to do the
right thing all his life and he has no criminal record. We’re going to
fight this out.”
Foster said Coontz trusted others to manage his finances and taxes
for him and was shocked to find out he was under criminal investigation
by the IRS.
Coontz has been ordered to appear in federal court in Charlotte.

his innocence of these charges.
A grand jury is tasked only with determining whether there is

Coontz is not a determination of guilt — it is merely a preliminary
finding that is necessary before the federal government can prosecute
someone.
The government has chosen to make a statement to the press about
Mr. Coontz’s indictment. It must be remembered that Todd Coontz is
presumed innocent. Todd Coontz has retained veteran federal criminal
defense attorney Mark Foster to represent him in this case and will
vigorously defend himself against these charges. Todd Coontz has always

At a Delaware Senate meeting, Air Force veteran Sen. Dave Lawson (R-Marydel) was shocked
to hear two Muslims take the floor to recite an Islamic prayer to
Allah. From the same book that calls for the death of nearly everyone in
the room – nonetheless, almost all of the non-Muslim Senate members
bowed their heads in worship to the Muslim god.
Lawson knew what he had to do. He stepped up to the plate and laid
the smack down, while the others could only wish they had the minerals

“We just heard from the Quran, which calls for our very demise,”
Lawson said after the pair of Muslims gave the invocation, including a
passage from their holy text. “I fought for this country, not to be
damned by someone that comes in here and prays to their God for our
demise. I think that’s despicable.”
To back up Lawson, there are indeed passages from the Quran that
advocate violence against non-Muslims including executions. That there
are some Muslims who take those passages literally and put them into
practice can be seen on the evening news.
Tarek Ewis, imam of the Masjid Isa Ibn-e-Maryam mosque in Newark, and
Naveed Baqir, executive director of the Delaware Council on Global and
Muslim Affairs, were invited to give the Senate invocation.
Lawson and Sen. Colin Bonini, R-Dover South, stepped out of
the chamber for the prayer. They re-entered when the speakers had
finished, and Lawson gave a brief speech, saying he “took great
exception” to the reading from the Quran.
After Lawson’s comments, the Senate proceeded as normal,
debating and passing several bills. But before the chamber adjourned
later in the evening, President Pro Tempore David McBride, D-New Castle,
halted, saying he felt “there is complicity in remaining silent.”
“I have never been of the mind to censure the words of other
members, but I also believe deeply that words have consequences,”
McBride said, reading aloud from a statement.
“Their belief flies in the face of our Constitution,” Lawson
said afterward. “This is not our Bible, we should not be allowing them
to pray from that book in our house, just as I do not believe I would be
allowed to pray from my Bible in their house.”

Comey, Rosenstein and Mueller
While everyone is looking at Robert Mueller as the culprit in this
witch hunt of our President, we had better take a closer look at
Rosenstein, the Deputy AG who appointed Mueller as special counsel for
the DOJ and establishment infiltration. Comey, Rosenstein and Mueller
are long time affiliates.
Never Trumpers Infiltrate Administration
Roger Stone feels that the Never Trumpers have infiltrated the
administration via Reince Priebus, but I believe VP Pence is also
responsible. How else does one explain CFR member, Dina Habib Powell,
best friend of Valerie Jarrett, Huma Abedin, and CFR member Condoleezza
Rice? Powell is Arabic and a former Goldman Sachs employee. She is the
current U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy to President Donald Trump under McMaster. She is also an Assistant to the President and Senior Counselor for Economic Initiatives.
Powell is being promoted by Jared and Ivanka to be our President’s
next Chief of Staff, yet throughout her career Powell has opposed
everything Trump stands for. As Stone says, this would be jumping from
the frying pan into the fire, when there are already way too many
quislings in the administration whose allegiance belongs, not to Donald
Trump, but to the RNC, and that appears to be true for Rod Rosenstein.
Rod Rosenstein, Deputy AG
Harvard graduate Rosenstein was nominated by President Donald Trump to
serve as Deputy Attorney General for the United States DOJ on January
13, 2017. Rosenstein was confirmed on April 25, 2017. This certainly
does not mean he’s a conservative, or an anti-globalist.
I would love to know who suggests these people, and then who vets
them for our President…perhaps Pence and Priebus? There are only a few
in this administration who are truly conservative, and one of them is
already gone, General Michael Flynn, and several others never even made
it to confirmation.
Rosenstein is being hailed as a brilliant choice who is admired and
respected and completely free of controversy. Excuse me, but wasn’t
Comey hailed with the same exact rhetoric before he angered the left,
and disappointed the right?
Leftist Slate Magazine stated that Rosenstein would be a good check
against Jeff Sessions, and the Washington Com-Post even called
Rosenstein a fabulous choice for the position and completely free of
controversy! Bah Humbug! Obviously, he’s an establishment insider if
these leftist rags love him.
Rosenstein and Mueller
Rosenstein joined the U.S. Department of Justice through
the Attorney General’s Honors Program. From 1990 to 1993, he prosecuted
public corruption cases as a trial attorney with the Public Integrity
Section of the Criminal Division, then led by Assistant Attorney
General Robert Mueller. They’ve been joined at the hip for a long, long time.
Mueller and Rosenstein are both part of the “Deep State.” In fact,
as Stone reports, both of them have ties to the Bush machine. Remember
the Clinton theft of FBI documents? Craig Livingstone, director of the
White House Office of Personnel Security, improperly requested, and
received from the FBI, background reports concerning several hundred
individuals without asking permission.
Mueller served as clean up man for Bill and Hillary Clinton. As
independent counsel from 1995 to 1997, he found no criminal prosecution
against White House officials who had rummaged through FBI records to
get background reports in the use of political blackmail.
In 2001, top Justice Department official Lee J. Radek, roundly
criticized for steering the China gate probe away from the White House,
had a friend in Robert S. Mueller, President Bush’s pick to replace FBI
Director Louis Freeh. Radek ran the campaign finance task force that
was charged with looking into rampant 1996 Clinton-Gore fund-raising
abuses that included Chinese money-laundering and possible
influence-peddling. Many branded Radek a “bureaucrat” who was more
interested in throttling the case against the Clinton White House, and
thereby keeping his job, than pushing it. Mueller even received a
glowing endorsement from China cheerleaders like Sens. Dianne Feinstein

In the 1990s, Rosenstein was on a team of prosecutors appointed by
Kenneth Starr to investigate Bill and Hillary Clinton’s “Whitewater”
business dealings in Arkansas. In 2012, Attorney General Eric Holder
tapped him to investigate national security leaks to news outlets, a
response to heavy criticism of the Obama administration by congressional
Republicans. Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr exonerated
both President Clinton and the First Lady with respect to the FBI files
matter in 1998. And Ken Starr is telling the President not to fire
Mueller.
Clintons and Comey
In the mid-1990s, Comey joined the Senate Whitewater
Committee as a deputy special counsel. There he dug into allegations
that the Clintons took part in a fraud connected to an Arkansas real
estate venture gone bust. No charges were ever brought against either
Clinton, but the scandal would eventually lead to independent counsel
Kenneth Starr’s probe that would result in the Lewinsky scandal.
How about the Sandy Berger affair? Former National Security Adviser
Sandy Berger, who was sentenced in 2005 to two-years’ probation and
fined $50,000 as the result of a plea bargain, for stealing highly
classified documents from the National Archives and intentionally
destroying some of them. He had also been functioning as a Hillary
Clinton campaign adviser before his death last December.
James Comey, was the deputy attorney general in the Justice
Department, and apparently limited the scope of the criminal
investigation of Sandy Berger. The documents Berger stole basically
proved Bill Clinton could have gone after and killed Osama bin laden,
but didn’t, proving he was negligent in the build-up to the 9/11
terrorist attack.
As I mentioned in my previous article,
Comey also gave Bill Clinton a pass with his pardon of Marc Rich and
others. Then came his pass on Hillary and her email debacle, where she
set up a private email server for herself, her family and Abedin which
was not accessible by the federal government or congress, and on which
classified documents were passed.
Hillary Clinton violated the Espionage Act of 1913 by
allowing national defense information to be “lost, stolen, abstracted,
or destroyed” through “gross negligence.” And get this, Comey had
Hillary Clinton’s definitive backup email device during the entire
charade of an investigation into the former Secretary of State,
according to court records obtained by Judicial Watch.
Godfather of Comey’s Daughter is Pence Lawyer
Here is a timeline of Comey’s career,
note that he worked for McGuire Woods law firm from 1993-1996. VP
Pence’s office confirmed that he retained Richard Cullen, chairman of
McGuire Woods LLP, to assist him in responding to inquiries by special
counsel Robert Mueller. Cullen and Comey used to work together at
McGuire Woods, and Richard Cullen is the Godfather to one of Comey’s daughters. Too close for comfort if you ask me.
Comey / Mueller Buddy-Buddy Connections
The fact that Robert Mueller, the former FBI head who “bungled” the
post-9/11 anthrax attack, is leading the “Russia-gate” investigation
should be a matter of grave concern for Americans. Mueller’s
appointment to investigate our President for sacking Comey is a conflict
of interest, especially since they have worked closely together in the
past.
“Former Director Mueller is exactly the right kind of individual for
this job. I now have significantly greater confidence that the
investigation will follow the facts wherever they lead.” Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)
stated. Schumer, Dick Durbin and other Democrats echoed these comments,
along with neo-cons John McCain and Paul Ryan, which should worry
constitutional conservatives.
Plamegate
Remember in 2003, Valerie Plame’s
name being inadvertently leaked by Richard Armitage who confessed to
his boss, Colin Powell? This was a scheme against Vice President Cheney
that ended in the conviction of his aide, Scooter Libby, for a weakly
proven process crime. Tag team Comey was the special prosecutor and
Mueller was FBI Director. They may well have honed their Deep State
purge of political opponents then, something clearly at the bottom of
this investigation into fictional “Russian collusion” and now
“Obstruction of Justice” with the Trump campaign. [Link]
Amerithrax
Comey is a very close friend of Mueller, and covered for the
erstwhile director in the Amerithrax affair and the upcoming inquiry
could very well be a quid pro quo transaction.
Mueller thought he had his man in the bungled Anthrax investigation
because two drug sniffing doggies liked scientist Steven Hatfill when
he petted them. Mueller used this flimsy proof on this conservative
government scientist, when in fact, the FBI ignored a 2002 tip from a
scientific colleague of the alleged anthrax killer, who turned out to be
a Fort Detrick scientist named Bruce Edwards Ivins. There was no firm
proof he was responsible either, and he ended up committing suicide.
Comey seconded Mueller’s opinion, and they were both wrong.

Mueller and Islam
Robert Mueller purged FBI training documents after 9/11. As reported by Rick Wells,
FBI Assistant Director James Kallstrom spoke to Maria Bartiromo. The
topic of the interview shifted to the issue of the real collusion, that
of the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR
taking a prominent role and infiltrating the FBI. He described how the
White House, under both George W. Bush and the Obama regime and the FBI,
including specifically Robert Mueller, changed to accommodate the
demands of the terrorist front organization after the Twin Towers came
down. Mueller acquiesced with Muslim Brotherhood front group, CAIR.
He also met with Nihad Awad, executive director of Hamas doing business as CAIR, as well as senior leadership of the Islamic Institute, the American Muslim Council and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (all Muslim Brotherhood affiliates) in 2002 at FBI headquarters.
In 2005, under Mueller’s administration, the FBI presented an award to Mohamed Magid, the imam of the infamous ADAMS center – a hardline Wahhabis mosque – and the president of ISNA.
There have been several other instances of Mueller’s Muslim Brotherhood collusion and investigative “incompetence.”
In 2013, Mueller testified that he was unaware that the mosque
attended by the Tsarnaev brothers, the perpetrators of the Boston
Marathon bombing that resulted in three deaths and close to 300
injuries, was founded by Al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi. Incredibly, Mueller’s department had been conducting “outreach” activities with the facility’s imam at the time.
Gohmert Exposed Mueller as Terrorist Facilitator
Rep. Louis Gohmert, (R-TX) knows what Robert Mueller is, and does not
share the fawning reverence for him as the DC swamp creatures do.
Mueller, has a long record of being an official cover man for jihadists
choosing to operate in the United States. Remember the fact that Mueller
purged all of the FBI training materials and other records which
indicated reference to Islamic terrorism in the months following the
9/11 attacks, but then he also ignored warnings about the Tsarnaev
brothers and never even attempted to investigate their mosque.
Judicial Watch exclusively obtained droves of records back in 2013
documenting how, under Mueller’s leadership, the FBI purged all
anti-terrorism training material deemed “offensive” to Muslims after
secret meetings between Islamic organizations and the FBI chief.

When Gohmert questioned Mueller two months after the Boston bombing,
he forced admissions from him of his failures or complicity in creating

Many Uncomfortable with Mueller
Why should we be uncomfortable with Mueller? 1) The leftist
establishment is comfortable with him. 2) He worked in tandem with Comey
on a couple of high profile cases. 3) He was chosen as FBI head by
George W. Bush (hater of Trump and owner of the words “That was some
weird shit,” in describing Trump’s Inauguration speech. 4) Obama felt so
comfortable with Mueller that upon taking office he extended Mueller’s
ten-year tenure an additional two years.
Not exactly a resume I feel comfortable in handing our president’s fate over to.
Conclusion
One way to counter the Mueller probe is to discredit Mueller, using
the facts about his terrible treatment of a series of American
scientists in the anthrax case. In the end, the FBI paid off one
scientist, to the tune of millions of dollars in damages, and drove
another to his death. Meanwhile, the al-Qaeda operatives who carried out
the attacks got away. That Mueller could survive this debacle with a
sterling reputation is evidence of the corruption in the Washington,
D.C. swamp.

activity. Oh, no. That would be “Islamophobic.” This is a helpline for
Muslims to report incidents of “Islamophobia,” including, no doubt, rude
remarks that are not criminal, and accurate analysis of the motivating
ideology behind jihad terror activity.
“Hate speech hotlines operate as government enforcement of fascism,”
said former Rep. Michele Bachmann. “They are a denial of free speech and
the very definition of government censorship. Looking for government
informants to rat out speech the government forbids goes to the heart of
denying American citizens our inalienable rights. Governments CAN NOT
do this under our constitution.”
Indeed. But no one seems to care very much about that anymore.
“Minneapolis installs Shariah hotline for ‘hate speech’ snitches,” by Leo Hohmann, WND, June 21, 2017:
The city of Minneapolis has set up a hotline for
residents to report suspected hate crimes, including “speech and
actions,” according to statements on the city’s website.
The city, which will operate the “service” through its 3-1-1
helpline, is targeting any “harassing behaviors motivated by prejudice,” according to a press release. Those wishing to report a hate crime from outside the city may dial 612-673-3000.
According to the local newspaper, the Star-Tribune,
“the announcement comes amid signs of a recent surge of such incidents
affecting Muslims and Jews across the country, many of which go
unreported.”
The city’s Department of Civil Rights clearly states on its website that it only enforces hate crimes against certain “protected classes.”
A city official further indicated the impetus for the hate-crimes
hotline was the election of President Trump and that the targets would
be his supporters.
“Since the general election, many of us have experienced, witnessed
firsthand or heard of actions of: racism, xenophobia, sexism and bigotry
directed at people here and in cities across the United States,”
Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights Director Velma Korbel wrote in a statement posted on the city’s website. “In no uncertain terms, hate-motivated speech and actions have no place in Minneapolis nor will they be tolerated.”
Korbel said the city’s tough stance on “hate” is reflected in the
views of its mayor, Betsy Hodges. Korbel states on the city website:
This department echoes Minneapolis mayor, Betsy Hodges’
resolve and commitment when she stated: “I will not compromise the
public safety of the people of Minneapolis to satisfy Trump’s desire to
put politics before public safety. Minneapolis is being built and
strengthened by people from all over the world and I am grateful for
their commitment to our city. I stand with them today and will continue
to take that stand as the President-elect prepares to take office.”
Michele Bachmann, former congresswoman from Minnesota, decried the
new hotline as a form of fascism in which citizens are encouraged to
turn in their neighbors for holding opinions deemed forbidden by the
state.
She said such prior restraints are not allowed under the U.S. Constitution and would not hold up in court.
“Hate speech hotlines operate as government enforcement of fascism,”
she said in an email to WND. “They are a denial of free speech and the
very definition of government censorship.
“Looking for government informants to rat out speech the government
forbids goes to the heart of denying American citizens our inalienable
rights. Governments CAN NOT do this under our constitution.”
Bachmann said the hate-crime hotline is a stealth move by Hodges and
the city council to impose Islamic anti-blasphemy laws on non-Muslims.
“By installing Islamic anti-blasphemy hotlines and advertising for
informants, Minneapolis is violating the doctrine of separation of
church and state,” she added. “What difference is there between the
Minneapolis City Council action and United Nations resolution 16/18
advanced by former Secretary Hillary Clinton?”
U.N Resolution 16/18 encouraged nations to criminalize speech that defames a person’s religious views.
Pushed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the only speech
the resolution sought to criminalized was speech critical of Islam,
Bachmann said. After years of failure, the resolution only passed after
the language was somewhat watered down.
“Which is interesting, since the OIC continually proclaims death to
the Jews, death to Israel,” she said. “The citizens of Minneapolis
surely can’t be that easily bamboozled into giving away their First
Amendment rights to free of speech.”…
The press release announcing the new hotline gives a broad definition
of “discrimination,” citing any “action or a decision that treats a
person or a group negatively for reasons such as their race, religion,
disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender or gender identity.”
The release also places local police on notice, stating:

protected classes, or has been the victim of police misconduct, please

Shahram Hadian, whose family fled Iran in the run-up to the Islamic
revolution in 1978, said he was aghast at the Minneapolis hotline.
“This is ultimately what they got passed up in Canada. But this is
the backdoor approach to eventually setting up hate speech laws … hate
crimes morph into hate speech,” said Hadian, a former law enforcement
officer turned pastor who heads Truth In Love Ministries.
“It’s crazy to think my family left Iran because of the impending
Islamic State to come to this nation because of its freedom – and what
other freedom is more precious than your freedom of speech? – and now to
see this backdoor attempt to try to impose hate speech laws.”
Hadian said there would be no logical need for a special hate hotline
because the federal government already has hate-crime laws on the
books.
“This is trying to normalize the concept of trying to turn people in,
and if that doesn’t send shivers down your spine when you think of
1930s Germany, nothing will,” Hadian said.
The Minneapolis City Council last fall passed a resolution condemning violence and hate speech against Muslims.
Hadian said he has no doubt that the Minneapolis officials will seek to target Christians with the new snitch line.
“Obviously it’s moving toward Shariah compliance. This is what Europe
has done,” he said. “You have people arrested there, various examples
of it, and charged with crimes for something they said about Islam. So
this is a back-door attempt to get hate speech laws on the books and to
create the environment of normalcy where you’re going to see Christians
turned in to the government because we are either speaking about
Christianity or because we’re speaking factually about Islam.
“It’s a violation of our fundamental rights under the First
Amendment. That’s chilling, and it’s so disturbing and underhanded what
they’re doing, to say, ‘Let’s start turning people in whom we don’t
agree with.’”
Hadian said the hotline will have a chilling effect on pastors and lecturers in Minnesota.
“So what, the next time I give a presentation, if someone gets
offended, are they going to report me?” he said. “That’s where we’re
headed with this.”
Outside of Minneapolis-St. Paul and Duluth, every county in Minnesota voted for Trump in the November general election.
The people of Minnesota are growing tired of the coercive rule of
intolerant Democrats like Hodges and Gov. Mark Dayton, said Debra
Anderson, who chairs the state’s ACT! For America chapter.
“Communities throughout Minnesota are suffering greatly from the
never-ending demands of Muslims and their civilization jihad, and there
is growing alarm about the increasing threats of and acts of violence
perpetrated by Muslims against non-Muslims (jihad terrorism),” Anderson
wrote in an email.
“This resolution and the hate-speech hotline serves to not only
invalidate the legitimate concerns of indigenous Minnesotans, but also
to silence them,” she said. “I find myself thinking, ‘While our
government leaders’ fundamentally transform our communities (destroy
America),’ they command, ‘Don’t you dare utter a peep … or else!’
“Unfortunately, this is only one of many examples of how our
‘captured’ government is striving to fundamentally transform the Land of
10,000 Lakes into Marxist/Islamist utopia that does not tolerate
dissidents or infidels.”
Bob Enos, another Minnesotan, who recently ran for city council in
Willmar, said he believes the hotline is patently unconstitutional if it
bans or seeks to chill any type of speech.
“Free speech has never been a crime under the U.S. Constitution, hateful or otherwise,” he said.
A search of the Star-Tribune’s stories printed since Jan. 1, 2017, lists only one alleged hate crime against Muslims.
“This new hotline is nothing but a red herring, designed to
ingratiate Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges to the growing Somali voting
bloc. Hence, her photos donning the Muslim hijab,” Enos said.
Enos said it was significant that Islamic preachers are exempt from
the hate crimes prosecuted by Minneapolis, because they are regarded as a
“protected class.”
“After all, the Quran contains at least 109 verses which promote
graphic violence against all non-believers; most especially Jews,” he
said. “So, is not any cleric who promotes the teachings of the Quran
also promoting hate speech?
“This enforcement of standards of speech that Minneapolis’ Democratic
leadership finds acceptable is Minneapolis’ version of an intellectual
Taliban.”
