North Korea engaged in its latest of a series of missile tests on May
29, as the communist state fired what was believed to be a Scud-class
ballistic missile that flew about 280 miles before landing in Japan’s
maritime economic zone. South Korean officials said that North Korea has
a large stockpile of the short-range missiles, originally developed by
the Soviet Union.
Reuters reported that North Korea has conducted dozens of missile
tests and tested two nuclear bombs since the beginning of 2016 in
defiance of UN Security Council resolutions and cited assertions made by
the communist regime that the weapons programs are necessary to counter
“U.S. aggression.”
As North Korea continues to defy world opinion by aggressively
developing weapons systems capable of threatening other countries, the
United States is exhibiting a show of might by sending a third aircraft
carrier strike force to the western Pacific region.
In a May 27 article, Voice of America (VOA) reported that the USS Nimitz will join two other aircraft carriers and their accompanying ships that make up carrier strike groups, the USS Carl Vinson and the USS Ronald Reagan, in the western Pacific, according to sources that spoke with VOA’s Steve Herman.
Only the Ronald Reagan, part of Carrier Strike Group 9,
which is home-ported at Yokosuka, Japan, as part of the U.S. Seventh
Fleet, is permanently stationed in the Western Pacific.
The Carl Vinson is home-ported in San Diego, but in mid
February started what was called “routine operations” in the South China
Sea. During the first half of April 2017, Strike Group 1 (of which the Carl Vinson
is part) was ordered toward the Korean Peninsula amid growing concerns
about North Korea’s ballistic missile program. It recently conducted
training exercises with the South Korean Navy in the Western Pacific.
“We are sending an armada,” President Trump announced on April 12,
voicing a clear message to North Korea that the United States would
stand firm against any aggressive actions that the communist state might
take.
The USS Nimitz is part of Carrier Strike Group 11 (of 12
such strike groups in the U.S. Navy), the home port of which is Naval
Station Everett, in Washington State, and is being deployed from nearby
Naval Base Kitsap.
The Daily Beast noted that sources have told both VOA and the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun that the deployment of the Nimitz is meant to serve as a warning to North Korea.
“The Trump administration deployed the strike force to put pressure
on Pyongyang to refrain from more nuclear and missile tests amid
mounting concern that it will soon acquire the capability to launch
intercontinental ballistic missiles,” Asahi reported.
A White House press statement posted on May 28 about President
Trump’s meeting that day with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in
Taormina, Italy, before the start of the G7 Summit talked about how the
United States and Japan intend to cooperate in facing North Korea’s
threatening weapons tests:
The President said the United States will
work with Japan and the Republic of Korea, as well as our other allies
and partners around the world, to increase pressure on North Korea and
demonstrate that North Korea’s current path is not sustainable.
President Trump and Prime Minister Abe agreed their teams would
cooperate to enhance sanctions on North Korea, including by identifying
and sanctioning entities that support North Korea’s ballistic missile
and nuclear programs. They also agreed to further strengthen the
alliance between the United States and Japan, to further each country’s
capability to deter and defend against threats from North Korea.
The VOA report also noted that the U.S. military will test a system
to shoot down an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) for the first
time next week. The test will attempt to simulate a North Korean ICBM
aimed at the United States.
VOA cited a statement from the Missile Defense Agency that the
exercise will test an existing missile defense system to try to
intercept an ICBM. The Pentagon has used the Ground-Based Midcourse
Defense (GMD) system to intercept other types of missiles, but never an
ICBM.
The GMD has been inconsistent, noted the report, succeeding in only
nine of 17 attempts against missiles without intercontinental range
capability since 1999.
We also discussed the U.S. GMD system in our May 22 article
about North Korea’s missile tests. We commented on White House Press
Secretary Sean Spicer’s call for stronger sanctions against North Korea
by noting:
Our reaction to that statement was that
most Americans would probably be more reassured if our government would
work at perfecting a better anti-ballistic missile (ABM) system that
could intercept any North Korean missiles fired in our direction,
instead of placing our hopes on sanctions.
We observed that, at present, the only system capable of intercepting
North Korean missiles is the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD).
However, we noted, as North Korea increases the range and accuracy of
its medium range missile and eventually develops Intercontinental
Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs), the reliability of these systems will need
to be improved. As of June 2014, only nine of the 17 (53 percent)
hit-to-kill intercept tests have succeeded.
It is encouraging that VOA (which is a U.S. government-funded news
source) cited the same statistics related to the GMD’s unreliability
that we noted in our earlier report. If our government recognizes this
fact and intends to develop a better anti-ICBM system, it will go a long
way toward protecting Americans from North Korea’s threats.

A federal judge has ordered the removal from YouTube and elsewhere of the latest undercover video by the pro-life group Center for Medical Progress
(CMP), showing abortionists and Planned Parenthood executives in grisly
conversation about aborted babies, including frank comments about
selling the tissue and body parts of their murdered pre-born victims.
The New American included the video in its May 25 report
on CMP’s ongoing campaign to expose the activities of Planned
Parenthood, and found the YouTube video quickly blocked from publication
later the same day.
In issuing his latest order, U.S. District Judge William Orrick
claimed publication of the video violates an earlier preliminary
injunction he handed down blocking CMP from releasing undercover video
footage its investigators captured at 2014 and 2015 conferences of the
National Abortion Federation, the abortion industry’s main trade
organization. NAF had argued that public access to the videos could
endanger its members, which includes Planned Parenthood officials and
abortionists. CMP is currently appealing the injunction.
On May 25 Steve Cooley and Brentford Ferreira, attorneys representing
CMP founder and lead investigator David Daleiden in his multiple felony
indictments from the case, released what they called a “preview” of the
video footage under injunction. Immediately afterward Orrick ordered
Cooley, Ferreira, and Daleiden to appear at a June 14 hearing to
consider holding them in contempt of court.
Daleiden is under 15 felony indictments by the California attorney
general’s office over previously released undercover videos. Included in
the dozen or so CMP videos published since 2015 is footage showing:
• Dr. Deborah Nucatola,
Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services, saying that
“we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know
that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below,
I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
• Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter joking that “I want a Lamborghini” as she negotiates the sale of baby parts.
• Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde
stating that “we don’t want to do just a flat fee [per baby] of like,
$200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see
how much we can get out of it.”
• A Texas Planned Parenthood abortionist describing a partial-birth
abortion to kill late-term unborn babies for the harvesting of brain
material.
Attorney Brentford Ferreira, a former Former Los Angeles County
Deputy District Attorney, argued that the charges against Daleiden
amount to little more than a “witch hunt.” He pointed out that “every
video recording for which the attorney general is charging [Daleiden]
was obviously and unquestionably made in a public place where it could
not possibly be considered ‘confidential.’ The only difference between
[Daleiden’s] conduct and that of undercover video journalists every day
in the state of California is the fact that he recorded the political
backers of the state’s top prosecutor.”

ANGELES, April 26–New undercover video shows Dr. Mary Gatter, the
Planned Parenthood senior executive who infamously laughed “I want a
Lamborghini” about payments for aborted fetal parts, again haggling over
per-specimen pricing for livers, lungs, and brains, even while
insisting the purchaser must do all the work to harvest.
The video is the second of a never-before-seen batch of undercover footage being released by The Center for Medical Progress.
At
a Planned Parenthood conference evening reception, CMP investigators
posing as buyers from a biotech company are introduced to Dr. Gatter for
the first time by Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood Federation
of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services.
“I wanted you to meet Mary Gatter,” says Dr. Nucatola, before Dr. Gatter steps forward.
Gatter
was for many years the Medical Director of Planned Parenthood Los
Angeles, before moving to the same position at the Pasadena affiliate,
and then being elected President of Planned Parenthood Federation of
America’s Medical Directors’ Council. As Medical Director at PPLA,
Gatter oversaw the affiliate’s partnership with Novogenix Laboratories,
LLC, a local for-profit fetal organ and tissue harvesting company.
“I
did it in LA, I’m committed to it, I think it’s a great idea,” says
Gatter to the purported body parts buyers. Discussing the number of
abortions at her Pasadena clinic, Gatter asks, “What kind of volume do
you need and what gestational ages?”
During the conversation,
Gatter advises, “You know, you have to pay a little money to use the
space.” After asking for a ballpark figure, the buyer observes, “Most
people now seem to be doing per specimen.”
“Per specimen. Like
$75 a specimen?” Gatter replies. After the buyer asks for clarification,
Gatter repeats, “$75 a specimen, or $50 a specimen?” The buyer replies,
“What we’ve been quoting is $50 per specimen. I think some people are
doing more, some slightly less.”
Gatter then comments, “Yeah, $50’s on the low end, $50 [per specimen] was like 12 years ago.”
The
buyer then explains, “What we like about per-specimen is that way we’re
not paying for [fetal] material that we can’t use, you know?” Gatter
nods, saying, “Yeah yeah, yeah.”
Federal law permits
reimbursement for specified costs in a fetal organ or tissue donation,
but prohibits the purchase and sale of the organs and tissues themselves
(42 U.S.C. 289g-2).
The buyer continues, “If we can get a liver,
a lung, and you know, a brain–” before Gatter interjects, “But you
would show up to do this? You would send somebody,” to which the buyer
answers affirmatively. Gatter concludes the conversation saying, “Yeah
I’d be willing, give me a call.”
According to contracts and
invoices, the real-life fetal organ and tissue wholesaler companies
Novogenix, StemExpress, and Advanced Bioscience Resources all made
monthly payments to Planned Parenthood based on the number of resalable
fetal specimens the wholesalers’ workers could harvest inside the
abortion clinics. Planned Parenthood told Congressional investigators it
kept no contemporaneous records of actual costs for reimbursement under
the law.
The Novogenix contract promises Planned Parenthood Los
Angeles $45 “per donated specimen.” Planned Parenthood Los Angeles does
over 15,000 abortions every year, but has never publicly admitted how
much money they received total under their contract with Novogenix. In
December 2016, the Senate Judiciary Committee and the House Select
Investigative Panel both referred Planned Parenthood Los Angeles and
Novogenix to the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice for further
investigation and criminal prosecution.
CMP project lead David
Daleiden notes, “The fact that Novogenix, StemExpress, and ABR stationed
their own workers inside Planned Parenthood abortion clinics to perform
the harvesting, packaging, and transport of aborted baby body parts
demonstrates that Planned Parenthood had no reimbursable costs under the
law. The volume-based sums that Planned Parenthood charged these
businesses for baby parts are criminal trafficking and profiteering in
fetal body parts. The U.S. Department of Justice should take heed of the
Congressional investigations’ criminal referrals and prosecute Planned
Parenthood to the full extent of the law, and taxpayers must stop being
forced to subsidize Planned Parenthood’s criminal abortion empire.”

Is all the impeachment talk boomeranging on Maxine Waters?
A
constituent filmed an encounter with the California Congresswoman on
Monday and the two clashed before Waters declared that a member of
Congress couldn’t be impeached.
The constituent, who was unnamed in the video that was posted by
YouTube user Melani Bell, began by telling Waters that she’s been
calling her office and sending her emails for “five minutes of your
time.”
“You’re one of 700,000,” Waters replied, referring to the number of constituents she has.
The constituent wanted to complain to Waters about her treatment of President Trump.
“I can’t stand him,” Waters said, cutting her off. “He’s the most horrible man I’ve ever seen in my life.”
“I love my president,” the woman replied.
“I’m glad you do,” Waters said.
When
the woman wanted to know why Waters wouldn’t also represent her views
in Washington, Waters said, “Your president is a dishonorable, lying
man,” adding that he “lies every day.”
Water said Trump is “in bed” with Putin and the Kremlin and “the oligarchs.”
“They’re going to take us down!” she declared.
When
the constituent compared Trump’s words to Bill Clinton’s actions,
Waters snapped, “I don’t care about Clinton! Listen, I’m going to work
every day until I get him impeached.”
“I’m going to work every day to make sure that he isn’t impeached and that you’re impeached,” the constituent said.
“You
can’t impeach a member of Congress!” Waters shot back. “No, you cannot
impeach a member of Congress,” she said again before her staff escorted
her away from the woman.

Oscar López Rivera (born January 6, 1943) is a Puerto Rican activist and militant who was one of the leaders of the Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional Puertorriqueña (FALN), a clandestine paramilitary organization responsible for more than 120 bomb attacks on United States targets. A fugitive since 1976 and indicted in 1977 and 1979, López Rivera was arrested on May 29, 1981 and tried by the United States government for seditious conspiracy,
use of force to commit robbery, interstate transportation of firearms,
and conspiracy to transport explosives with intent to destroy government
property. López Rivera maintained that according to international law
he was an anticolonial combatant and could not be prosecuted by the
United States government. On August 11, 1981, López Rivera was convicted
and sentenced to 55 years in federal prison. On February 26, 1988 he
was sentenced to an additional 15 years in prison for conspiring to
escape from the Leavenworthfederal prison.
The imprisonment of López Rivera was opposed or supported by
individuals and groups representing political, religious, and other
constituencies. Some called him a terrorist, but others said he was a political prisoner. Several U.S. Congressmen supported López Rivera’s release from prison.
U.S. President Bill Clinton
offered López Rivera and 13 other convicted FALN members clemency in
1999, on condition they renounce violence, but López Rivera rejected it.
On January 17, 2017, President Barack Obama
commuted López Rivera’s sentence and he was released from prison on May
17, 2017, after 35 years in prison. López Rivera had been incarcerated
longer than any other member of the FALN. On February 9, 2017, he was moved from an Indiana prison to Puerto Rico, where he completed the last three months of his sentence under house arrest before being released on May 17, 2017. López Rivera joined the Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional Puertorriqueña (FALN), a Marxist-Leninist organization which in the 1970s fought to make Puerto Rico an independent communist nation. The FALN was involved in more than 100 bombings in New York, Chicago and other cities, including the 1975 bombing at Fraunces Tavern in Manhattan that killed four people.

New York City’s Puerto Rican Day Parade will be honoring
convicted terrorist Oscar Lopez Rivera, a former member of The Armed
Forces of National Liberation, or FALN, who served 35 years in prison
for attempting to overthrow the United States government.
The June 11 parade will honor Rivera, who was responsible for making bombs used in the 1975 bombing of a restaurant in Manhattan that led to the death of four people and injured 43.
He
was sentenced to 55 years in prison in 1981 on charges of robbery,
seditious conspiracy and transportation of firearms and explosives.
In January 2017 Rivera’s prison sentence was commuted by then-President Barack Obama.

York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito (D-East Harlem) said
“ultra right-wing forces” in Puerto Rico are trying to undermine this
year’s Puerto Rican Day Parade. The city’s parade made national
headlines with its decision to designate Oscar Lopez Rivera, a convicted
terrorist, as its marshal. Lopez Rivera led the FALN, a left-wing
liberation movement in Puerto Rico, which bombed several sites across
the United States – including NYPD barracks. “A lot of the campaign
putting pressure on the sponsors to withdraw… is being manipulated and
organized and orchestrated from an ultra-right wing element on the
island [of Puerto Rico],” Mark-Viverito said.
Mark-Viverito said
pro-statehood forces feel “threatened” by Lopez Rivera’s platform and
are in turn trying to force companies to drop sponsorship. The right
wing in Puerto Rico generally opposes statehood, but Gov. Ricardo
Rossello (P) told the New York Post he is confident the protectorate
will win statehood in its June 11 vote. Mark-Viverito successfully urged
President Obama to commute the sentence of Lopez Rivera, who was
released from prison during his administration. Governor Andrew Cuomo
(D-N.Y.) recently joined a slew of supporters and sponsors in disavowing
their involvement in the parade. Coca-Cola, Goya, the New York Yankees,
JetBlue airlines, AT&T and WNBC-4 all dropped their sponsorship of
the parade. Mayor Bill de Blasio (D), however, has voiced relative
ambivalence to Lopez Rivera leading the popular parade.

Mayor De Blasio is a longtime supporter of jihad and Muslim supremacists, and most especially terror-supporter Linda Sarsour. Mayor De Blasio gifted Sarsour’s “organization” with more than $500,000.
She was instrumental in getting de Blasio to partly dismantle the New
York Police Department’s program of spying on the city’s Muslims, and
has worked with officials in City Hall to close public schools for the
observance of Muslim holy days, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. From her
base at the Arab American Association of New York, the group whose focus

Mayor
de Blasio went to extraordinary lengths to undermine our rally and
silence our voices. New York City is no stranger to protests. Protest is
a thriving tradition, and with the election of President Trump, is a
weekly, sometimes daily, exercise for leftists. So, at this point, the
NYPD has it down to a science. Protest organizers apply for a
permit, and if there is to be a counter protest, their area is set up
across the street, or catacorner to the main event. This is standard operating procedure. During our Ground Zero Mosque protests, the opposition was penned one block over. Every rally and demo is set up in this same way. Which is why what happened at our event was so very extraordinary.
The vicious, vocal and violent protesters were placed right next to the stage, not three feet away from the stage and our crowd.
And they screamed, blew deafening whistles, and screamed abusive chants
(“Grab that pussy!,” to which we chanted back, “No clit cutting!”).
There was no letup (which is why I am shouting the whole of the rally)
and at the end of the demo, the leftists attacked our people and were
arrested.

The enemedia did not report on this at all. They drummed up the narrative that the event was violent, with the New York Daily News going so far as to say “WILD BRAWL”
in their headline. That’s what de Blasio wanted. He wanted our people
attacked and hurt. And the enemedia eagerly advanced the big lie.
The Daily News said, “No arrests were made.” But two arrests violent leftists were arrested. Did the NYDN even call NYPD?
That said, despite de Blasio’s attempt to undermine our rally, it didn’t work.
It was huge. And the happy warriors took a stand.

Beatings and abuse from Muslim classmates have been cited
by the parents of a Jewish teenager as the reason they removed him from
a leading Berlin school. The 14-year-old was born in London to a British mother and a German father. According to a report in the Sunday Times,
the student was kicked and punched by students of Middle Eastern and
Turkish origin so many times he was left fearing for his life. One of
the attackers is alleged to have threatened to shoot him with a mock gun
he believed was real. The Central Council of Jews in Germany described the bullying allegations at the Friedenauer Gemeinschaftsschule in Berlin as “anti-Semitism of the ugliest form.”
The Times reports Ferdinand and his parents — Gemma, an
entrepreneur from London, and Wenzel, a human rights organiser — chose a
multicultural environment for their son’s schooling. Until recently the
family had hosted a Syrian refugee in their Berlin home.
“I loved the fact that the school was multicultural . . . the kids and teachers were so cool,” Ferdinand said.
Yet within a week of enrolling last November, at a school where
almost three-quarters of the pupils are from immigrant families,
Ferdinand’s troubles began after he let slip that he was Jewish.
“First my Turkish friend Emre said he could no longer hang out with
me because I was Jewish,” Ferdinand said. “Then other pupils started
saying stereotypical things about how Jews only want money and hate
Muslims.”
Daily beatings by a gang of pupils, all of immigrant origin, soon followed. These were accompanied by racial insults.
“This boy, Jassin, whose parents are Palestinian, asked me if I’m
from Israel,” Ferdinand said. “I’ve never been to Israel. He said
Palestine will burn Israel and his friends said Turkey will burn Israel.
He kept kicking me.
“One day he came up to me from behind and he punched me in the back. I
became dizzy . . . I had a bruise for a week or two. Every time
something bad happened, I told myself I could manage it, but it only got
worse.”
The experience of Ferdinand is not an isolated incident in the Berlin school system.
Aaron Eckstaedt, principal of the Moses Mendelssohn Jewish High School in Berlin, told the Jewish Chronicle that six to 10 Jewish parents apply to switch their children to his school every year.
The requests are generally “in reaction to anti-Semitic statements
coming overwhelmingly from Arabic or Turkish classmates,” he said….

The
clip, uploaded by the victim Stefanie Kirchhoff, has received almost
500,000 views since it was posted on Wednesday. In it, Kirchoff
sardonically thanks Angela Merkel for opening the country’s borders to
such ‘cultural enrichment’.
She has several huge welts and contusions all over her face as a result of the beating.
Showing
how truly deluded many Germans are about the migrant crisis, some
respondents to her Facebook post accused the woman of being a racist or
staging the incident to make money.

Germany
has experienced a surge in violent crimes since it began accepting
“refugees” back in 2015. A report released last year by Germany’s
Interior Ministry found that an extra 402,741 crimes were committed by migrants, with non-Germans accounting for 27.6 percent of total offences.
Despite

The European Union just signed off
on a proposal to make companies like Facebook and Twitter remove “hate
speech” videos which contain “expressions of racism and xenophobia”.
Under
such vague definitions, the video of the woman complaining about being

people who are in total denial of the problems associated with
importing huge numbers of young Muslim men who have no respect for

follower, “whose interpretation of the Bible is right, Protestants’ or
Catholics’”? In
this video, he talks about being raised in the Catholic church. “There
are some Catholics that know and love Jesus. I wasn’t one of them
growing up. It wasn’t the church’s fault, it was mine,” he says. Now,
you might be thinking, “or course it’s his own fault, the wages of sin
is death, right?” But what he fails to mention is that the Roman
Catholic Church does not teach you how to “know and love Jesus.” In
fact, it strictly forbids you from believing the true gospel.
As Protestants, we believe that salvation is, in short, by grace alone through faith alone.
The Roman Catholic church, regardless of the “order” of which the
presiding priests of the local parish are brought up in, is accountable
to authoritative councils of the church. In these councils, the true
biblical faith is explicitly denied and forbidden. Specifically, Canon 9

Driscoll continues, stating,
There are some Catholics that absolutely love Jesus. It’s

resurrection of Jesus. So, a lot of the things that I would call the
closed-handed big issues, yeah, we agree as Protestants with the
Catholics.
He “he didn’t have time” to get into the other minor issues he
“disagreed with them on.” However, he had time to make it clear that he
doesn’t believe Roman Catholicism to be a “cult or another religion.”
While he does appear to have the gospel right in this video, he fails
to recognize that the Roman Catholic Church has it wrong. The Roman
Catholic Church denies the essential doctrines of grace alone through faith alone and affirms a works righteousness–a
false gospel refuted by Paul known as the Galatian Heresy. Roman
Catholicism denies the doctrine of the penal substitutionery atonement,
that is that Christ stood as a substitute for man, bearing the
punishment of God’s wrath that we deserved on the cross, imputing our
sin to Him so that His righteousness can be imputed to us (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Instead, the affirm a false doctrine of infused righteousness which, in
essence, teaches that through good works, penance, and sacraments,
Christ’s righteousness is imparted to us more and more over time. While
it is certainly true that the virgin birth, the sinless life, and the
physical death, burial, and resurrection are essential, without a proper
understanding of these doctrines and how they apply to the gospel the
Roman Catholic’s belief is simply in vain (1 Corinthians 15:2).
Mark Driscoll, while offending God in an effort to please man, has
taken a soft stance on Roman Catholicism. Roman Catholics hold to a
false gospel and confirmation in the Roman Catholic Church depends on a
confession of this false gospel. Not that Mark Driscoll was ever a
qualified Bible teacher, but this is more evidence of the ecumenical
trajectory of evangelicalism. The Roman Catholic Church is a whore. It
practices idolatry, teaches a false gospel, and denies Christ on every
level. Instead of affirming sinners who are caught up in this false
church, we should be calling them out of it and calling them to Christ.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has declined a request
to host an event to mark Islam’s holy month of Ramadan, two U.S.
officials said, apparently breaking with a bipartisan tradition in place
with few exceptions for nearly 20 years. Since 1999, Republican and Democratic secretaries of state have
nearly always hosted either an iftar dinner to break the day’s fast
during Ramadan or a reception marking the Eid al-Fitr holiday at the end
of the month, at the State Department.
Tillerson turned down a request from the State Department’s Office of
Religion and Global Affairs to host an Eid al-Fitr reception as part of
Ramadan celebrations, said two U.S. officials who declined to be
identified because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
According to an April 6 memo seen by Reuters, the office – which
typically initiates such events – recommended that Tillerson hold an Eid
al-Fitr reception.
His rejection of the request suggests there are no plans this year
for any high-profile Ramadan function at the State Department. The month
of fasting and prayer for Muslims gets under way in many countries on
Saturday.
When asked by Reuters to comment on Tillerson declining a request to
host an Eid al-Fitr event in July for Ramadan, a State Department
spokesperson said:
“We are still exploring possible options for observance of Eid
al-Fitr, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan. U.S. ambassadors
are encouraged to celebrate Ramadan through a variety of activities,
which are held annually at missions around the world.”
Muslim activists have accused President Donald Trump’s administration
of having an unfriendly attitude toward Islam, encapsulated by its
attempts to ban citizens of several Muslim-majority countries from
entering the United States.
The administration says that while it strongly opposes Islamist
militants, it has no quarrel with Islam. Aides point to Trump’s visit
this month to Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam where he addressed
the leaders of more than 50 Muslim countries, as evidence of that.
Members of Congress, Muslim civil society and community leaders,
diplomats from Muslim countries and senior U.S. officials usually attend
the State Department Ramadan event, a symbol of the U.S. government’s
diplomatic efforts with Muslim countries and people.
If Tillerson avoids hosting one this year, that could send a message
“that it is not as important to this administration to engage with
Muslims,” said former U.S. diplomat Farah Pandith, who served in the
Bush and Obama administrations and helped plan Ramadan events at the

Tillerson issued a statement on Friday to mark the start of Ramadan,
which he called “a month of reverence, generosity, and self-reflection.”
“Most importantly, it is a cherished time for family and friends to
gather and give charity to those who are less fortunate,” he said.

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright started the tradition 18
years ago of America’s top diplomat hosting a public event for Ramadan,
a lunar month.
The secretary of state of the time usually gives remarks there on the meaning of Ramadan.
In April, the State Department’s Office of Religion and Global
Affairs made a request to Tillerson’s office that he deliver remarks at
an Eid al-Fitr reception this year, and suggested a two-week range of
dates in July. The event would serve to “highlight State Department
initiatives and the importance of Muslim engagement,” the memo said….

The AFDI demo against CUNY’s obscene invitation was a smashing
success, with over a thousand people who came out in a downpour of
pelting rain on East 42nd Street outside CUNY’s headquarters on Thursday
afternoon to oppose the mainstreaming of evil — CUNY’s obscene
invitation to a pro-terror Jew-hater to keynote their commencement
address. It was an amazing event, a turning point, despite Mayor de
Blasio’s nefarious attempts to undermine and destroy the rally.
Background: Linda Sarsour is a leader of the illegal and inhumane
Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. Sarsour
has publicly argued that Jews who support Israel can’t be feminists. She
does not recognize Israel or its right to exist, and has made several
tweets indicating she supports armed resistance to Israel. NY State
Assemblyman Dov Hikind considers Sarsour’s views on Israel to be
condoning terrorism, and he, along with a large number of mainstream
Jews, believe Sarsour is strongly anti-Semitic.
“Linda Sarsour’s record of advocating for terrorists
speaks for itself. If she had only called Arabs who hurl rocks at moving
cars ‘the definition of courage,’ that would have been enough,” said
Hikind. “But there’s so much more. Sarsour publicly called for violence
against Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a feminist Muslim author who opposes violence.
She recently shared a stage with and praised Rasmea Yousef Odeh, a
member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine convicted by
an Israeli court for her role in the murder of two students, Leon
Kanner and Eddie Joffe, in a Jerusalem supermarket bombing.
Mayor De Blasio is a longtime supporter of jihad and Muslim supremacists, and most especially terror-supporter Linda Sarsour. Mayor De Blasio gifted Sarsour’s “organization” with more than $500,000.
She was instrumental in getting de Blasio to partly dismantle the New
York Police Department’s program of spying on the city’s Muslims, and
has worked with officials in City Hall to close public schools for the
observance of Muslim holy days, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. From her
base at the Arab American Association of New York, the group whose focus
is the sharia device, “Islamophobia,” Sarsour is working to do the same
on immigration policy, voter registration, mass incarceration,
Islamophobia and the Police Department’s stop-and-frisk tactic.
When Sarsour faked a “hate crime” against herself, New York City
mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted a reminder that the City “will never
condone such glaring acts of bigotry and intolerance.”
In fact, Sarsour’s attacker was Brian Boshell, a mentally
ill homeless man well-known in the Bay Ridge area for public outbursts.
As National Review reported at the time, Boshell, a regular presence in
the neighborhood for more than two decades, had been arrested nearly 60
times before accosting Sarsour, and even Muslim residents of Bay Ridge
expressed skepticism that she didn’t know who he was. (National Review)
All that being said, Mayor de Blasio went to extraordinary lengths to
undermine our rally and silence our voices. New York City is no
stranger to protests. Protest is a thriving tradition, and with the
election of President Trump, is a weekly, sometimes daily, exercise for
leftists. So, at this point, the NYPD has it down to a science. Protest
organizers apply for a permit, and if there is to be a counter protest,
their area is set up across the street, or catacorner to the main event.
This is standard operating procedure. During our Ground Zero Mosque
protests, the opposition was penned one block over. Every rally and demo
is set up in this same way. Which is why what happened at our event was
so very extraordinary.
The vicious, vocal and violent protesters were placed right next to
the stage, not three feet away from the stage and our crowd. And they
screamed, blew deafening whistles, and screamed abusive chants tweets
(“Grab that pussy!,” to which I chanted back, “No clit cutting!”). There
was no letup (which is why I am shouting the whole of the rally) and
at the end of the demo, the leftists attacked our people and were
arrested.
That said, despite de Blasio’s attempt to undermine our rally, it didn’t work. It was huge. And the happy warriors took a stand.
In this photo, you can see how close the two pens were. As a rule,
the opposition is always across the street. Always. I have been holding
protests and going to them for almost twenty years.
The enemedia did not report on this at all. They drummed up the narrative that the event was violent, with the New York Daily News going so far as to say “WILD BRAWL”
in their headline. That’s what de Blasio wanted. He wanted our people
attacked and hurt. And the enemedia eagerly advanced the big lie. De

I wanted to be close to the Podium of this Protest against Linda Sarsour.
Oops. I maybe accidentally went to a Protesters section of the
Protest..or very close by Next to me were loud protesters yelling Shut
the F— Up and other insults to the Speakers at the Podium behind their
barricade.
I asked the police that they should move the protest to the protest
so that we can hear the speakers. The policeman told me he couldn’t hear
what I was saying.
These protesters who were screaming “Go Home Fascists” and “Shut the
F- Up” had the best standing room of the entire protest. Everyone else
was further back.
I was told that the Police’s Legal team said that they couldn’t move
the protesters. Apparently it didn’t matter that they were drowning out
the speakers. Legally they were protected!
Couldn’t they go across the street to where the Neturei Karta were
protesting. It was very annoying and extremely provocative having them
right up front to the point that they were clearly disrupting and
distracting the ones on the Podium from speaking. For whatever reason,
the loudspeaker was not loud enough to hear the speakers clearly from
where I was standing which was very close to the podium. People way in
the back apparently did hear better. There was too much loud disruptive
and obscene protesting drowning out the speakers from my position. This
was their intention and they succeeded. Ok I didn’t see them get
actually physically violent but it was very stupid to allow them there.
Verbally they were extremely abusive and physically potentially so.

anti Israel, anti America, anti AFDI, anti Trump who are a scary bunch
gets legal protection to stand in close proximity….
I suppose that if the Police would have moved them they would have caused a riot. Clearly a security threat!.
No other explanation….The anti Sarsour protester were on the street itself. At least part of it.
Why in heaven’s name did the police give these Pro Sarsour space on
the sidewalk in very close proximity to the podium? They also needed a
large police force on the sidewalk to contain them? Couldn’t the Police
tell the protesters of the protest that the sidewalk is only for
pedestrians?
The police were busy rushing the pedestrians who were walking down
the street. They wanted to make sure that the sidewalk remained
passable, as it was now one third of its normal space.
After all, there was plenty of room across the Street adjacent to Neturei Karta protest.
My conclusion:
They have no problem putting Neturei Karta protesters, across the
street far away. Neturei Karta are docile and respectful to the police.
They don’t get violent. In fact, when Neturei Karta protesters were
annoyed at a Jewish female wearing an IDF sweatshirt who was in their
face they got the Police to protect them and she was almost
arrested.That clearly shows that the Police can get really tough when
needed especially when this women was holding an Israeli flag and and
wearing an IDF sweatshirt and clearly provoking the Neturei Karta. I
wonder if she was singing. That really would have been a provocation and
could easily cause a confrontation.
PRO Sarsour foul mouthed whistle blowers (they literally blow loud
whistles to drown out the speaker) are protected to do so, because
according to the Police’s legal advice they weren’t doing anything wrong
legally. We can’t disrupt their freedom of speech to protest the
protest.
Get this. The police allowed a bunch of very foul mouthed pro
Sarsour, anti Islamaphobic, anti Trump, and anti America protesters,
right next to the podium and in very close proximity to Pamela Geller.
The Police knew fully well that Pamela Geller and her speakers would
talk negatively of Mohammad and Sharia.
This protest could potentially have gotten violent.
But probably the police were afraid. My guess is that they were
intimidated. Look carefully at the signs of the counter protest.
The signs read

“Smash Racism and Islamaphobia”

They also chanted “From the River to the Sea Palestine Will be Free”….
“No KKK no Fascist USA”
etc.
Now it make sense. The Police didn’t want to be accused of being
Islamaphobic and in so doing engage in Police Terror according to this
crowd of protesters. Police were intimidated to openly say that this
group of seasoned police protesters actually might be a physical threat
to Pamela Geller and her team.
Surely, the incident at the AFDI Mohammad cartoon contest and recent
terror attacks across the globe in Manchester etc. should have been
sufficient reason to place them across the street.
Policed didn’t even need any excuses as they commonly put protesters
like Neturei Karta across the street far away and keep the sidewalks
free for pedestrians.
Another question to the Police Legal team is Isn’t disrupting Freedom of Speech to Protest also illegal?
Thank G-d this time there was no Physical confrontation. We wouldn’t
want a repeat of the violent confrontation in DC when Police tried to
separate protesters and anti protesters..
Do you really want to wait for a physical confrontation to prove our point?.

I think there was something more sinister going on. I was
one of the first people there. In fact, I offered to help set up. If
anyone remembers, I was the guy with the short sleeve purple polo/golf
shirt with my law firm name and had a backpack. I only got to talk with
David Wood and Marie for few mins and Gavin (I think Pam may know who I
am and David and Marie know Scott from Boston, Gavin has my card). When
the radicals first showed up, you could see that this vile degenerate
loser, Heather Morris, was their leader. She was talking with two others
who asking if her group was with CPUSA, she responded that they were
affiliated( all radical group’s r affiliated whether they know it or
not)If you looked out from the stage, I was at the very front row,at the
farthest left. Nearly right in front of a speaker that was covered from
the rain.I was right against the front rail and left side rail with the
ululating ninnies in my right ear. Originally, the Marxists were
directed down the street toward the back. I observed Morris talking on a
cell phone along with another man. Soon thereafter, some other men
arrived, including a short, fat bald guy, there was some discussion with
a policeman in charge and the Marxist were moved up to where they were
originally, directly next to me. I saw 2 of the Marxist men huddle with
Morris and they were all giggly and smiles, including the short, fat,
bald guy, who quickly wiped his grin off his face when he saw me
glowering at him intently. I stared at them nearly the whole time. They
were vulgar to everyone, especially Heather Morris, swearing at everyone
who passed by, thrusting out her middle finger in peoples faces, trying
to grab peoples American flags and signs. There was a short policeman,
with red hair that was next to me the whole time. He was a nice guy and
clearly disgusted by there antics. I asked him why the Marxists were
allowed back at the front, blocking and harassing foot traffic, he said
he didn’t know but someone higher up changed the cops, who were there,
original call. I was the one who first made the immediate request to the
officers to have them moved back, to clear pedestrian traffic, not
disrupt speakers,and more practical in keeping the peace and safety of
all. As it was the obvious, logical thing to do, the police did just
that. I believe these Marxists have a direct line into someone at
“Red-Bill’s”office or Red Bill himself.The cops there did not seem
happy.I read Morris lies about her arrest, if she was any whiter, she’d
be translucent. And Nobody that I saw, with our group had any sticks,
all our flags, both USA and Israel, had no sticks…I helped hold up both
flags.The only people carrying sticks were the hyenas with there Soros
made signs. I didn’t know anyone from our group that I was standing
with, but there was a brotherhood/sisterhood, a real bond we quickly
formed with each other. Lots of hugs and high-five’s. We also looked out
after each other because Ms. morris, et al, were clearly trying to
provoke and we would calm our fellow patriots down when it seemed like
it was getting heated. Nobody tried to calm the radicals down. Morris
had to be warned a few times as she assaulted and technically battered
several people walking past who were not even paying attention to her.
It may be a good idea in the future, if we can get 2 of our good people
who will volunteer to just video the antifa/Marxists the whole time. It

activists in New York, says the messages have been arriving by the hour
recently.
“Your time is coming.”
“A good Arab is a dead Arab.”
“You’re getting two bullets in your head.”
She “says” she has been receiving threats. This is news as far as the
New York Times is concerned, although “journalist” Eli Rosenberg
apparently doesn’t make any attempt to verify her claim. Meanwhile,
Pamela Geller is the target of a fatwa from the Islamic State (ISIS).
The Times, when it speaks about her, never leads with that information.
Apparently, some death threats are just fine with the New York Times, if
their targets are the Times’ ideological enemies.
Ms. Sarsour, one of the lead organizers of the Women’s
March on Washington, has tackled issues like immigration policy, mass
incarceration, stop-and-frisk and the New York Police Department’s
spying operation on Muslims — all of which have largely inured her to
hate-tinged criticism.
Note that everything the Times list shows her to be working actively
to impede and obstruct counterterror efforts. The New York City of
Sarsour’s dreams is supine and defenseless before the advancing jihad.
But it is the commencement address she is to deliver next

Note that the Times makes no attempt to determine whether or not Milo’s charges are true (they are).
It just quickly changes the subject to signs “with images associated
with the often racist and anti-Semitic language used by what is known as
the alt-right.” Associated by whom? Why, by the New York Times, of
course. This paragraph is tantamount to saying, “Milo made some charges
against Sarsour, but protesters were holding signs bearing images that
we have previously smeared as racist.”
The controversy over Ms. Sarsour’s appearance is the
latest dispute in a heated national dialogue over free speech on
university campuses.
But in this instance, the roles have been reversed. Other protests
have largely pitted left-wing students against conservative speakers
like Mr. Yiannopoulos, Ann Coulter, Gavin McInnes and Charles Murray.
This time, conservatives are leading the charge against Ms. Sarsour.
This is false. The controversy is not over her appearance at CUNY. We
who are routinely barred from speaking on college campuses, or shouted
down by fascists when we do, would never dream of saying she should not
allowed to speak. In fact, I would be happy to go to CUNY at my own
expense to debate her. The controversy is over whether she should be
celebrated and lionized, given the honor of delivering the commencement
address, in light of her numerous hateful, anti-Semitic, and pro-Sharia
statements.
Her critics are a strange mix, including right-leaning
Jews and Zionists, commentators like Pamela Geller, and some members of
the alt-right.
They accuse her of sympathizing with terrorists, supporting Sharia
law and anti-Semitism for statements she has made about politics in the
Middle East.
And with good reason, although the Times never presents this evidence or bothers to debunk it.
The CUNY chancellor, James B. Milliken, has defended the
appearance on the basis of free speech, and a group of CUNY professors,
some prominent progressives and liberal Jewish groups have spoken in her
support.
Free speech? Funny how universities seldom remember that principle when a conservative speaker comes around.
Fred Smith Jr., a constitutional scholar and assistant
professor at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, said
the controversy was a reminder of the bipartisan nature of the outcry
over free-speech issues.
“There are a few people who have been very effective in branding the
left at shutting down free speech, but the moment they are confronted
with leftist speech they don’t like, they are equally outraged and
poised to suppress that speech,” he said. “I don’t think that’s the
answer for either side. The more you try to suppress speech, the more
the ideas of the suppressed speaker become salient to more people. It
makes the person more well known and attracts more people to those
ideas.”
Once again, this is off the point, and an apparently deliberate
obfuscation. The controversy is not over whether or not she can speak.
It is over whether or not she should be the commencement speaker.
The debate about Ms. Sarsour’s speech began last month
with Dov Hikind, a conservative Democratic state assemblyman who
represents a largely Orthodox community in Brooklyn. Mr. Hikind said Ms.
Sarsour should not have been chosen, pointing to her recent appearance
in Chicago with Rasmea Odeh, who was convicted in Israel of playing a
role in the bombing of a supermarket that killed two civilians in 1969.
Mr. Hikind also pointed to a picture Ms. Sarsour once posted on
Twitter of a Palestinian boy standing across from police officers with
rocks in his hands. Ms. Sarsour wrote that the photo was “The definition
of courage.”
Mr. Hikind said in a phone interview, “You can’t support a terrorist
and then be the commencement speaker at a university that my taxes help
pay for.”
Indeed. And there is no doubt that her speech will be a pep rally of
anti-Israel, anti-American agitprop, with heavy helpings of
self-righteousness and self-pity.
….Brad Lander, a Democratic city councilman from
Brooklyn, described the accusations against Ms. Sarsour as
“preposterous,” and pointed to her help in raising money to repair two
Jewish cemeteries that were vandalized in St. Louis and Pennsylvania in
February.
“She’s been in my synagogue,” he said. “She and my rabbi are friends.
There’s no doubt that part of what this is is backlash against the idea
of having a Palestinian-American as a visible leader and inheritor of
the civil rights movement.”
He added, “One terrible feature of the Trump regime is that it threatens to tribalize all of us.”
The fact that she repaired these cemeteries does not negate her pro-Sharia or viciously anti-Israel statements. She even declared recently
that feminists could not support Israel. Lander is taking an incident
that was an obvious bid to wrongfoot her opponents as a reversal of her
entire stance regarding Israel. It wasn’t.
At the protest, even Mr. Yiannopoulos briefly
acknowledged Ms. Sarsour’s right to speak, before making a racially
tinged joke about her getting paid in goats. He was more restrained in
an emailed response to a question.
“Unlike some of the other speakers, I don’t want Sarsour canceled,”
he wrote. “I want as many people as possible to hear her odious
thoughts. That doesn’t mean I can’t explain why she is dangerous and
wrong.”
Once again: the problem is that she is the commencement speaker. She
should be canceled as the commencement speaker. And brought back to
debate with Pamela Geller or some other defender of freedom.
Ms. Sarsour said she had nothing to apologize about for her views.
She said there were questions about the integrity of Ms. Odeh’s
conviction many decades ago. The photo of the Palestinian boy was taken
during a week when about 200 Palestinians had been killed, she said. And
she said she had never planned to speak about Israel in the
commencement address.
We’ll see about that. In any case, note how the Times gives Sarsour
space to rebut the charges, and never bothers to check on her claims
about Odeh’s conviction or the photo. The Times never offers this
service to those who aren’t Leftists.
Ms. Sarsour said she believed she became a target for
far-right conservatives in the days after the Women’s March, which she
said was evidence of a larger “Islamophobia industry.”
The claim that there is a well-heeled “Islamophobia industry”
churning out hateful material against Muslims is a staple of Leftist
propaganda. Ironically, the organizations such as the Center for
American Progress and others that have produced lavishly printed
“Islamophobia” reports have budgets exponentially larger
than those of the organizations they defame as “Islamophobic.” If there
is any “industry” here, it is that of the truly well-heeled effort to
defame and destroy those who oppose jihad terror and Sharia oppression.
She has hired two private bodyguards to accompany her to
public events. She says she regrets that she has not been able to shield
her three children, all teenagers, from the vitriol and threats she has
received online. Still, she said, she does not plan to be silent.
“I’m Muslim, I’m Palestinian, I’m a woman in a hijab,” she said. “I’m everything they stand against.”
She added, “I have a bigger mission here.”
In reality, she is a foe of counter terror efforts, a supporter of the
jihad against Israel, and a woman who normalizes and legitimizes the
Sharia oppression of women. Indeed, everything we stand against.
As
phone calls between President Trump & President Duterte are leaked
