Video Shows Saudi Man Literally Herding Veiled Muslim Women With a Stick
Is this the brand of Islam feminists want to import to the west?
BY PAUL JOSEPH WATSON
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

A disturbing video out of
Saudi Arabia shows a man with a stick literally herding veiled young
Muslim women with a stick as they wait for their male guardians before
being allowed to leave.
The
clip shows a man allowing some students to leave before he orders the
others to return indoors by banging a stick against a metal hand rail.
At the end of the clip he appears to strike one of the women on the head
with the stick.
According to a Saudi feminist
who posted the video on Twitter, it shows a high school guard
fulfilling his duties, which include making sure the students are always
fully covered and ensuring “women are caged until their guardians or
drivers come”.
“Every girl in high school and college
has a man outside ‘protecting’ them. Preventing them from leaving with
unrelated men,” she added. “When I was a rebellious teenager, I use to
take off my veil when I reached my car. This usually pissed off the
guard and he use to report me.”
Meanwhile,
another shocking video out of Algeria shows Muslims – both men and
women – arguing that a man who doesn’t beat his wife isn’t a real man.
“A
real Algerian woman, if her husband doesn’t beat her sometimes, she’ll
feel…it’s not manly, it makes me happy,” says one woman.
“When
she angers me a lot, I beat her,” says another man, while another says
it is acceptable to beat women when they cause annoyance.
60% of Algerian women think a husband has the right to beat his wife, according to a UNICEF study cited in the video.
As
we have repeatedly highlighted, despite Islam representing the complete
opposite of liberalism in that it is a viciously intolerant belief
system that treats women little better than farmyard animals, leftists
are trying to embrace Islamism.
This
has manifested itself in the promotion of the face veil or the hijab as
a symbol of female empowerment, when in reality it is a symbol of
female oppression in Islamic countries all over the world. Three
feminist moms in Pittsburgh have even produced ‘hijab barbies’ to normalize the head covering.
writes,
the hijab is a “symbol of a dangerous purity culture, obsessed with
honor and virginity, that has divided Muslim communities in our own
civil war, or fitna, since the Saudi and Iranian regimes promulgated
puritanical interpretations of Sunni and Shia Islam, after the 1970s
Saudi oil boom and the 1979 Iranian Revolution.”
Nomani
lists numerous recent examples of how the hijab purity culture “covers,
segregates, subordinates, silences, jails and kills women and girls
around the world.”
Recently, in Bareilly, India, a father killed his daughter, 4, smashing her head against the floor when her scarf slipped from her head during dinner. In Ontario, a few years ago, a man strangled
his 16-year-old sister when she defied their father, including by
refusing to cover her hair. In November, a former University of Missouri
instructor dragged a female relative,
14, out of school “by the hair” when he discovered she hadn’t covered
her hair. Today, in Iran, friends of the journalist Masih Alinejad dodge
batons as they shoot photos of themselves, hair bare, in a campaign
Alinejad started, #MyStealthyFreedom, to protest Iran’s mandatory headscarf law.”
Throughout
modern history, actual Muslim feminists have tried to dispense with the
hijab as part of their desperate struggle for liberation, notably Huda
Shaarawi, who founded the Egyptian Feminist Union in 1922, which encouraged Muslim women to discard their veils.
All
this again underscores the blatant fact that leftists would rather
pander to the sacred cows of identity politics by embracing and merging
with the most misogynistic belief system on the planet than actually
maintain and defend classically liberal principles.

 America Flat-Out Being Invaded
BY FROSTY WOOLDRIDGE

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Each year, according to Dr. Steven Camarata, researcher at the Center
for Immigration Studies, 500,000 foreigners from all over the world
jump America’s southern border with Mexico. The Mexican government aids
and abets them. (Source: www.cis.org)

Annually,
estimates range from 30 to 40 percent of foreign visitors overstay
their visas and burrow into America’s cities, towns and
countryside—already burdened with 20,000,000 illegal alien enclaves.

Each year, America accepts 1,000,000 legal refugee immigrants from
190 countries who cannot or will not provide for their own citizens.
That’s been going on since 1965 when US Senator Teddy Kennedy’s
Immigration Reform Act opened the flood gates to from the third world
into America. That single act, never discussed with the American people,
flooded this country with 100,000,000 more people within 40 years.
That same act, if not rescinded, will flood America with another
100,000,000 people by 2050—a scant 33 years from now.  (Source: US
Census Bureau; US Population Projections by Fogel/Martin; PEW Research
Center)

Annually, 350,000 pregnant women from all over the world including
Mexico, China, India, South America, Africa and dozens more—visit
America to birth their babies. Known as “anchor babies”, each mother
enjoys pre-natal care, birthing and postnatal care paid for by US
taxpayers.  Additionally, once born in the USA, that mother and child
enjoy 18 years of housing, food, medical care and education K-12.  All
of it paid for by your tax dollars.

In 2016, Barack Obama injected over 15,000 Syrian refugees on top of
the normal legal and illegal immigration flow.  He gave illegal alien
children their DACA permits to remain in America in violation of Federal
Laws.  A federal court stopped his mass amnesty attempts.

In the meantime, the third world, where all these people originate,
continues adding 80,000,000 (million) new babies, net gain, annually to
guarantee the immigrant line grows instead of diminishes.

At the same time, Mexico sells Americans endless drugs consisting of
heroin, meth-amphetamines, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana laced with
chemicals and other drugs. Cost:  $100,000,000,000.00 and as high as
$120,000,000,000.00. (billion) (Source: The Office of
National Drug Control Policy estimates that $100 billion worth of
illegal drugs were sold in the U.S. in 2016.  It estimates 200 U.S.
cities in which Mexican drug cartels maintain drug distribution networks
or supply drugs.)

CDC: “About 570,000 people die annually in the U.S. due to drug use.”

Because of that drug invasion, 13 teen-agers die every hour, 24/7 across America from drug-alcohol overdoses.

Additionally, the State Department estimates that legal and illegal
immigrants send cash transfers back to their countries in the amount of
$120,000,000,000.00 annually.  Thus, bleeding America financially to
death.  Note: we face a $19.5 trillion national debt that could collapse
our society at any time.

Not only that, Congress imports moderate and radical Muslims bent on
destroying and/or displacing the U.S. Constitution with Sharia Law and
their Quran. Their top Muslim-American leaders state that fact daily.

“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any faith, but to become
dominant. The Qur’an should be the highest authority in America, and
Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” Omar Ahmed, director of
Council on American Islamic Relations.

Does anyone understand that this country faces an invasion like no
other in the history of the world?  Worse, the average American sits
back watching it happen across all 50 states. Canada, too.  In fact,
both countries invite their own suicide. Along with Europe!

As President Trump promised to build the Wall between Mexico and the
USA to stop the invasion and the drugs, California Governor Jerry Brown
said he would fight that Wall because it reminded him of the Berlin
Wall.  His sanctuary state houses up to 4,000,000 illegal aliens.
Southern California no longer speaks very much English, but Spanish. San
Francisco looks like a foreign city filled with everyone but
Americans.  California runs broke and overpopulated.  Its freeways
resemble a cement-thick parking lot for 18 hours a day.  Crime, welfare,
crippled schools filled with kids from around the world overwhelm
California.  Americans get run out of their communities—and prisons
burst with illegal aliens—but Jerry Brown invites more illegals into his
state. Illegals enjoy sanctuary cities such as San Diego, Los Angeles,
San Francisco, Bakersfield and dozens more. His state features more
births from non-Americans than Americans.

This figure will shock you: “California grows by 1,654 people daily,
net gain, 24/7.  And, 98 percent of that growth stems from legal and
illegal immigrants.”  (Source: www.CapsWeb.org)

Nationwide, over 340 “sanctuary cities” house up to 20,000,000
(million) and as high as 31,000,000 illegal aliens.  Those border
jumpers enjoy protection from Immigration, Customs Enforcement, (ICE)
and prosecution by outright defiance of the rule of law by our elected
officials such as mayors and governors.  No matter how many rapes,
burglaries, killings, robberies, anchor babies, shoplifting, drunk
drivers and fraudulent IDs—illegal aliens enjoy more protection and
services than our military veterans.  How much?  You pay out
$113,000,000,000.00 (billion) in services for immigrants across 15
federal agencies. (Source: US Government Finances)

This goes on year after year after year, decade after decade after
decade.   It’s an invasion by any definition of the word.  And, Congress
and every governor of every state facilitate it—because they refuse to
enforce the rule of law.

It’s exasperating to watch this country being invaded while its own
elected officials aid and abet all of it.  And, yet, Americans continue
voting back into office the exact same representatives that keep the
invasion going strong.   At some point, it’s all going to break down
into a national disaster on multiple levels, guaranteed.

Call your senators and House rep:  1 202 224 3121 or 1 888 995 2086.
Demand a stop to all immigration and stop to any Syrian immigration.

Definition of slogan:  “Immigration Shutdown Now means the American
people want a total shutdown on all legal and illegal immigration. That
means we want all illegal immigration stopped by arresting, prosecuting
and jailing employers of illegal aliens. We deport all illegal aliens by
taking their jobs away and as we catch them.  We want English mandated
as our national language. We demand a cessation of Muslim immigration in
order to protect our culture, language and way of life. We can’t save
the world but we can save or destroy our civilization.  We demand a
stable population that allows everyone to live, work and thrive into the
21st century. Especially our children.” FHW

Muslims cannot in any way become Americans. The Koran forbids it.
Their entire context of religious-political Sharia Law demands
subjugation to their religion with no allegiance to the U.S.
Constitution. The Koran forbids women’s rights, marital choice, free
speech, gay rights and religious rights.  Our way of life remains
completely out of bounds to Islam. This 4-minute video explains our plight:

Dr. Phil Interview Exposes Global Elite Pedophiles
(But Ignores the Muslim Ones)
BY ALEX NEWMAN
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

In what may be the most explosive episode of his high-profile television career,
psychologist and TV show host Dr. Phil exposed the little-known
phenomenon of human trafficking of sex slaves among the elite echelons
of society. According to Dr. Phil, the victim, and reliable sources who
corroborated her story, the girl — now a young woman, perhaps in her
mid-20s — was flown around the world on private jets and forced to have
sexual relations and engage in unspeakable acts with wealthy
businessmen, political leaders, and other establishment figures. Much of
what was described on the the Dr. Phil Show sounded satanic, analysts
said.

Experts who have studied the phenomenon, though, say this story is just the tip of a gigantic iceberg
that stretches across the globe and is especially concentrated in power
centers such as Washington, D.C., New York City, and London. With
President Donald Trump vowing to crack down hard on human trafficking
and sex slavery, victims and their advocates hope the scourge can be
brought into the open — and that the perpetrators can be brought to
justice, regardless of their position in society. U.S. Attorney General
Jeff Sessions is reportedly committed to doing everything within his power to bring down high-level pedophiles and human-traffickers.
The victim who appeared on Dr. Phil’s enormously popular show,
identified only as “Kendall,” said on the program that she was sold to
her “owner” by her parents at birth. “I was born into the world of sex
trafficking,” she said on the program, which aired nationwide on March
21 and was reportedly seen by millions of Americans. “I was forced to
have sex with clients. One of my first memories was to think it was
normal for men to be fondling babies.” In one case, she was even forced
by her “owner” to kill a baby, she said. In other instances, she was
forced to rape children as young as five-years old.

Her entire existence revolved around the demands of her “owner” and
the clients this criminal would pimp her out to. “My whole life I would
travel all over the world, and would go to some of the biggest events to
meet clients and have sex with them,” the victim explained. “They were
all extremely rich and prominent members of society. Sometimes they
would just want to have sex with me, and sometimes they would make me
have sex with different people.” When her “owner” was not around, she
was supervised by “watchers.”

Among those who raped her, she said, were high-ranking
law-enforcement officials, major sports figures, and even top U.S.
politicians. Oftentimes, she was taken to extravagant mansions where the
“clients” would rape, torture, and abuse her and other captive
children. Many of the “clients” were “pillars of the community,” Kendall
continued, adding that some even owned private islands or large
properties where they could rape and “hunt” their victims with impunity.

Indeed, one well-known pedophile with a private island, Bill
Clinton’s friend and registered sex offender Jeffery Epstein, had a
private plane known as the “Lolita Express” that would fly high-level
politicians and businessmen to his so-called “Orgy Island” or “Sex Slave
Island” in the U.S. Virgin Islands. There, according to reports and
alleged victims, trafficked girls as young as 12 would be forced to have
sexual relations with Epstein and his friends — billionaires,
politicians, royalty, and others. Bill Clinton rode on the Lolita
Express at least 26 times, according to flight logs cited by Fox News, and often ditched his Secret Service protection before hopping onboard.

Lest Ms. Kendall’s claims be dismissed, Dr. Phil emphasized that her
story had been corroborated prior to putting her on the show. “I can
tell you that a very reliable source has confirmed to us that Kendall
has in fact been trafficked, raped, molested, and severely abused by a
very large, very dangerous organization,” Dr. Phil said. Indeed, as The New American and numerous other media sources have documented,
her story is hardly unique, and there does appear to be a pattern
linking many “elites” to unspeakable crimes perpetrated in the shadows.

Those wealthy and powerful “clients” were responsible for ghastly
crimes against Kendall, stretching back to her early childhood and her
earliest memories. “The clients were often physically abusive,” she
explained, adding that she was often drugged by her captors as well.
“Clients were even allowed to smother me with a pillow or plastic bag
while having sex with me. But they were never allowed to leave marks or
bruises on my face, because I always had to look pretty.”

Kendall’s “owner” told her she was “made for” the abuse, and that her
birth parents had created her for that purpose. “It’s the only life
I’ve ever known,” she says in the interview, adding that she believed
her own three children were also trafficked into slavery and that
children would be raped by adults beginning when they were just infants.
“All of this was completely normal to me, and I never thought seriously
about leaving…. Since I left, it’s been so hard.” Her “owner” had
rich and powerful friends all over the world, she added.

Asked how old she was when she was first raped, Kendall said “it was
before I could talk.” “I was used to it by the time I was 2,” she added,
noting that she does not even know her actual age today because she was
a sex slave from the time of her earliest memories. In the interview,
she explains that she could even tell the difference between children
who were born into the slavery and those who were kidnapped. “The girls
who weren’t born into it, they had a harder time,” Kendall said. “They
were always kept tied up or in cages, and they cried a lot.”

“The man who owns me constantly manipulated me and did horrible
things to me,” she said. “He would make me be a dog, he made me eat
feces, I was kept in a cage — sometimes he would electrocute me as
punishment.” In fact, the monstrous “owner” would give her commands like
a dog, “like come, or sit, or stay — I would have to obey them or I’d
get in trouble.” Sometimes she would have to “be a dog for days,” she
added.  Her punishment for not “behaving” was that her owner would “have
really rough sex with me, or take a knife and cut me.” He would also
wet her and force her to be in the cold, or pretend to drown her in the
bath tub.

In perhaps one of the most grotesque elements of the story, Kendall’s
“owner” even brainwashed her into believing her torture and misery were
divinely ordained — suggesting that the false “god” of her abusers may
be what Christians, Jews, and others recognize as demonic. “He said that
all of this was happening because it was god’s will, because god made
me for this,” Kendall recounted. Her abusers and rapists also told her
“this was the best thing for me,” she said, adding that she had believed
them and felt guilty for not appreciating the horrors inflicted on her.

The “owner,” whom Kendall said she witnessed murdering some 20 to 25
people, also threatened her to keep silent, telling her, “if I told
anybody about what was going on, that nobody would believe me,” she
explained. “I 100 percent believed him. I still believe him.” At one
point, the “owner” offered her one chance to leave him in the only way
he said was possible: shooting herself in the head. She tried, but the
gun did not go off, and then she was punished severely, she told Dr.
Phil.

Of course, the networks of establishment pedophiles and perverts
alluded to throughout Dr. Phil’s explosive program last week has become
increasingly well known in the age of the Internet. A 1990s documentary called Conspiracy of Silence,
available for free online today, also suggests the problem in the
United States has existed for generations and reaches into the highest
levels of government and power
. And more than a few members of the political, business, and media elite have already been exposed.

Former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert, for example, was busted last year for attempting to cover up his sexual molestation of underage boys.
Unfortunately for the cause of justice, the statute of limitations had
already expired on his sexual crimes. But he did plead guilty to charges
relating to the cover-up. Illustrating his complete lack of morals or
compassion, though, Hastert was recently in the news again for trying to
recover the “hush” money he paid to one of his victims because the
victim had come forward. The judge in the case called him a “serial
child molester.” As The New American reported last year, though, Hastert is just the tip of the iceberg.

Before Hastert, late BBC celebrity Jimmy Savile was exposed
as a pedophile monster who sexually abused hundreds of children over a
period of decades — sometimes as part of a satanic ring
, according
to victims cited in news reports. In 2013, after that scandal exploded,
British police announced that their investigation into child sex abuse
was widening to include members of the British Parliament as well.
However, even the police themselves came under fire for declining on
multiple occasions to file charges against Savile.

More than a few advocates suggested corrupt forces within the police
department were helping to protect the pedophile ring and its
high-ranking, influential members. British Parliamentarian Tom Watson
with the Labor Party also spoke of the evidence file used in the 1990s
to convict pedophile Peter Righton — a former consultant at the National
Children’s Bureau and lecturer for the National Institute for Social
Work in London — and said it should be re-examined. The MP said it
contained “clear intelligence of a widespread pedophile ring” in the
U.K. operating at the highest levels of power.

“One of its members boasts of his links to a senior aide of a former
prime minister,” Watson explained on the floor of Parliament. “The leads
were not followed up, but if the file still exists I want to ensure
that the Metropolitan Police secure the evidence, re-examine it and
investigate clear intelligence suggesting a powerful pedophile network
linked to Parliament and [government headquarters at Downing Street]
Number 10.”

In America, more than a few Clinton associates have also been
ensnared in pedophilia-related scandals. As described above, Clinton
buddy and known pedophile Epstein is infamous for his proclivities.
“Bill Clinton … associated with a man like Jeffrey Epstein, who everyone
in New York, certainly within his inner circles, knew was a pedophile,”
explained Conchita Sarnoff with the non-profit Alliance to Rescue
Victims of Trafficking and the author of a book on Epstein’s case called
TrafficKing. “Why would a former president associate with a man like that?”

The Obama administration was so unfazed by the horrors of pedophilia and child rape that it named a U.S. Navy ship after known pedarastic rapist and homosexual activist Harvey Milk. And as The New American has been documenting for years, the Obama administration continued to boost support to United Nations “peacekeeping” schemes even as UN “peace” troops were exposed all over the world raping and trafficking children.

Meanwhile, e-mails between failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her top aide at the time,
Cheryl Mills, deal with Laura Silsby, who was arrested and charged with
child abduction and child trafficking in Haiti after the 2010 hurricane
there. Silsby and nine others posing as “missionaries” for a phony
orphanage were busted by authorities trying to smuggle a busload of 33
Haitian children off the island. And far from being orphans, once Silsby
was caught, the parents of the children accused her of lying. Thanks to
intervention by Bill and Hillary Clinton, though, Silsby was allowed to
leave Haiti with “time served.”

As The New American‘s senior editor William F. Jasper reported in a November article
about the scandals and horrors revealed in Clinton’s e-mails, including
tales of bizarre occult rituals, multiple analysts have concluded that
Silsby was kidnapping the Haitian children to be sold to child sex
rings. “The evidence we have seen thus far does not prove that claim,
but neither is it a far-fetched supposition, considering the sordid
sexual swamp that many of the high and mighty are mired in, and
considering the Epstein-Clinton-Podesta revelations that are pouring
out,” Jasper reported. “At the very least, it must be seriously
investigated, in light of the evidence available and the global crisis
in child sex trafficking.”

A recent “Reality Check” news segment by journalist Ben Swann on the
so-called “Pizzagate” scandal, which establishment media outlets have
scrambled to declare “fake news,” also links a number of high-profile
Clinton associates to pedophilia and human trafficking. After a
month-long investigation, Swann — one of the most reputable journalists
with a platform on an establishment media outlet — suggests that there
is extremely troubling evidence that should be properly investigated.
The video report was perhaps the best summary so far of the “Pizzagate”
theories.

In addition to the millions of viewers who watched his show, Dr.
Phil’s program highlighting the horrifying crimes of human trafficking
and sexual slavery made headlines across America in the alternative
media around the world. In the United Kingdom, some of that nation’s
leading newspapers have covered the story. And after the story broke,
the word spread across the Internet like wildfire, with countless blogs,
forums, and alternative media outlets celebrating the breakthrough.

Trump has also taken a hard line. “I want to make clear that my
administration will focus on ending the absolutely horrific practice of
human trafficking,” he said after a recent listening session on
domestic and international human trafficking at the White House. “I am
prepared to bring the full weight our government at the federal level
and the highest levels in order to solve this horrific problem. It’s
getting worse, and it’s happening in the United States, in addition to
the rest of the world…. Solving the human-trafficking epidemic is a
priority for my administration.”

Trump’s hard line has been cited by more than a few commentators as
one of the reasons why the establishment is freaking out so hysterically
over Trump and his administration. Whether more members of the
establishment will be ensnared in the horrifying scandals in the months
and years to come, though, remains to be seen.

with a heritage literally making him the son of a Nazi is taking a stand
against all things Brexit and President Donald Trump.

Juncker
named Ohio. Ohio? Ohio had a very small secession movement in 2012. But
that was a reaction to Barack Obama’s reelection. Totally off the mark.
California sure. But Ohio, I don’t think so. And then he names
Texas….but not just Texas…Austin, Texas as the other place he would
support to secede.

Unfortunately as an Austin, Texas resident a
few things come to mind as to why he feels Austin would become like his
dear little country Luxembourg. Austin is a model UN Agenda 21 city. The
politically correct Austin City Council is packed full of left leaning
Antifa supporting miscreants that love spending our tax dollars on white
elephant projects just like Juncker. And a battle is brewing in Austin
between the City Council members, The Austin Mayor, The Texas Governor,
and the Department of Justice over the controversial status of Austin as
a leading Sanctuary City.

They’re talking about a bill here, they’re talking about Section 3024 of
this bill and they’re talking about informed consent, and I will play
for you what they had to say having to do with vaccines and the 21st
Century Cures Act. This speaks to informed consent waiver or
alteration for clinical investigations. There, I have to say, are still a
lot of discussions going on whether this really will apply to two
vaccines for the following reason, this the 21st Century Cures would
amend the Food and Drug Act to add an exception from informed consent
requirements for those clinical trials that pose no more than minimal
risk and there are appropriate safeguards protecting the rights, safety,
and welfare of the exam place. Now, for vaccine trials we always have
taken the position that these trials do involve more than minimal risks,
so this may not be applicable but, again, we have our lawyers,
everybody, engaged to really help guide this along.

perform a dilation and evacuation procedure.

“Research shows that Dig (short for Digoxin) doesn’t make
the procedure easier in someone who is well trained, but I have to tell
you anecdotally my biceps appreciate when the Dig works [to kill the
baby],” DeShawn Taylor of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles stated, flexing
her arm and giggling.

“It does not take me any longer to complete the procedure,
but it takes more force,” she explained. “I remember when I was a fellow
and I was training, I was like, ‘Oh, I have to hit the gym for this. I
need to hit the gym.’”

When asked at what gestation dismemberment abortions become especially difficult, she replied 20 weeks (five months).

The Center for Medical Progress had posed as a fetal organ
procurement company at an abortion services networking event, and had
been introduced to Taylor by Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood
Federation of America’s senior director of medical services.

“[I]n order to get you an intact calvarium, the patient is
going to have to go into labor,” Taylor advised. “Because generally,
especially in a breech presentation, everything’s going to come out and
the head is going to get trapped.”

During the conversation, Taylor also stated that she has to
be careful for her staff’s sake that the baby is crushed enough that he
or she doesn’t look like a person when removed from the womb.

“It’s not a matter of how I feel about it coming out intact,
but I gotta worry about my staff and people’s feelings about it coming
out looking like a baby,” she outlined.

But Taylor also noted that she herself doesn’t like when the aborted infants are referred to as babies.

“We have the people who do our paperwork for the fetal death
certificates, [and] they email us calling them ‘babies.’ Baby this,
baby that, baby so-and-so, and I’m like, that’s creepy!” she exclaimed.

The abortionist likewise outlined during the discussion that
if the baby comes out with any signs of life, they are required by
law to be transported to the hospital. When asked if she has a protocol
for identifying those signs, she replied, “Well, the thing is, I mean
the key is, you need to pay attention to who’s in the room, right?”

The full, unedited footage is posted below.

The video was released just one day after David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress was charged with 15 felonies
by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who alleges that
Daleiden broke the law in recording the undercover conversations without
consent.

“This footage is just a preview of the damning and
incriminating admissions of Planned Parenthood leaders on our further
unreleased tapes, being censored by an unconstitutional gag order from a
federal judge in San Francisco,” Daleiden said in a statement on
Wednesday.

“The only difference between Planned Parenthood’s barbaric
abortion business, and that of the notorious Dr. Kermit Gosnell, is that
Gosnell was not so careful as to ‘pay attention to who’s in the room,’”
he remarked. “Elected officials must stop forcing taxpayers to
subsidize Planned Parenthood’s criminal abortion business, and the
Department of Justice must immediately open a full investigation and
prosecute Planned Parenthood to the fullest extent of the law.”

“It is believed that Bilal had beaten a female worker at the store
and grabbed her by the throat prior to officers’ arrival. Bilal
reportedly had become upset while attempting to convert the employee to
Islam.”

Well, if she didn’t immediately see the light of Islam, you can see why he was upset.

“According to reports, Bilal then went on to break an officer’s hand
after an attempt to place Bilal into custody….He faces preliminary
charges of battery on police, resisting law enforcement, disorderly
conduct, battery with injury, intimidation and strangulation.”

Quite an eventful dawah session! And much, much more of this sort of
thing is coming, in Muncie and elsewhere in the land of the free and the
home of the brave.

“Police: Man tased after striking officer, yelling ‘Allah Akbar’ in Goodwill scuffle,” WISH, March 28, 2017 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — One man is facing charges after he
struck an officer for attempting to restrain him following a commotion
in Muncie.

It happened just before 2 p.m. Saturday inside a Goodwill store when officers were responding to a call for a fight.

Upon arrival, officials found 24-year-old Khalid Bilal confronting store employees.

According to reports, Bilal then went on to break an officer’s hand after an attempt to place Bilal into custody.

Bilal was later tased after charging another officer that arrived on
scene. After the tasing, the officer was eventually able to corral Bilal
into handcuffs. The suspect then began to kick the officer repeatedly
with both legs, causing authorities to shackle his legs.

Reports stated that Bilal was yelling “Allah Akbar” throughout the ordeal.

One customer told 24-Hour News 8 she was scared for her life. She was
inside the store shopping with her three children when she heard a man
screaming at the front.

“A guy had become very irate and was screaming at one of the
employees and then grabbed him by the collar and start pushing him and
screaming are you scared,” said Chasity Fraley, customer.

“He was just so full of rage and violence I never seen anything like that before,” Fraley added.

Not sure what was going on, Fraley said she began moving her kids.

“We moved to a different aisle… so I could take my kids away from the
situation because they got very scared at that point and then I heard
him say ‘I’m going to kill everyone in here,”’ she said.

That’s when Fraley says a female employee stepped in trying to calm the man down.

“With her, she kinda used a softer tone with him at first, ‘let’s
talk about this, what’s the matter can we take it outside,’” Fraley
recalled.

But out of nowhere, she said the man attacked that employee.

“He violently grabbed her around the neck and just was punching and
whatever he could to her,” she said. “A bunch of employees came out to
keep him away from customers.”

It is believed that Bilal had beaten a female worker at the store and
grabbed her by the throat prior to officers’ arrival. Bilal reportedly
had become upset while attempting to convert the employee to Islam.

Fraley believes employees handled the situation very well.

“They were protecting one another and protecting us they (did) an
excellent job at keeping him in a somewhat secured area,” she said.
“They were telling people to get back trying to protect people in the
store and one another.”

Police said the man was taken to the hospital and continued to attack officers when they tried to restrain him.

Once at the hospital for treatment, Bilal went on to strike an
officer three times when the officer attempted to secure a restraint
that held Bilal to a hospital bed.

He faces preliminary charges of battery on police, resisting law
enforcement, disorderly conduct, battery with injury, intimidation and
strangulation….

SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GIVES $330,000 TO HAMAS LINKED CAIR & ISLAMIC RELIEF

SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GIVES $330,000 TO HAMAS LINKED CAIR & ISLAMIC RELIEF
BY ROBERT SPENCER
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR’s cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements about how Islamic law should be imposed in the U.S. (Ahmad denies this, but the original reporter stands by her story.) A California chapter distributed a poster telling Muslims not to talk to the FBI, and a Florida chapter distributed pamphlets with the same message. CAIR has opposed virtually every anti-terror measure that has been proposed or implemented and has been declared a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates. A CAIR operative recently called for the overthrow of the U.S. government.

But all that is fine with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
Would they, on the other hand, give a penny to foes of jihad terror? Not
on your life! That would be “Islamophobic”!

“Silicon Valley fund gives $330 thousand to CAIR, Islamic Relief,” by Hillel Fendel, Arutz Sheva, March 28, 2017:

The Middle East Forum research center has revealed that
the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) has donated a total of
over $330,000 to two extremist organizations: the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and Islamic Relief.

The Philadelphia-based Forum contacted SVCF with evidence of the
extremist links of CAIR and Islamic Relief, but received no response.
The Middle East Forum is now publicly calling for an immediate and
permanent termination of SCVF’s funding of these organizations, and has
started a nationwide campaign to this end.

The SVCF is the country’s wealthiest community foundation, with more
than $8 billion in assets. It has enjoyed positive press coverage during
its 10-year history, but has also come under some criticism. Worst of
all, the MEF states, is its flowing generosity to the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and Islamic Relief.

MEF says it privately contacted SVCF last month with evidence of the
extremism of CAIR and Islamic Relief, including the bigotries and
prejudices of its officials and speakers. SVCF officials essentially
“refused to discuss the matter,” MEF reports, but rather “engaged in a
flurry of ad hominem attacks on the Forum.”

It is “unconscionable that such a leading institution as SVCF, which
claims to support ‘understanding and tolerance,’” should help
organizations that rely on ignorance and hatred,” the Forum declares.
“To be precise, CAIR and Islamic Relief have a long history of providing
platforms to speakers who denigrate and threaten women, Jews,
Christians, the LGBTQ community, and Muslims belonging to minority
sects.”

As examples, the Forum cites regular speakers at the two
organizations’ events who have rationalized honor killings or said that
men may beat or rape their wives. “It should not be politically
divisive,” the Forum states, “to state that these ideas are incompatible
with SVCF’s self-proclaimed commitment to diversity and tolerance.”

SVCF did say that CAIR is in “good standing with [U.S.] federal
agencies,” but the MEF counters that the FBI and the Justice Department
have blacklisted CAIR since it was named an unindicted co-conspirator
during a terrorism financing case in 2008. Both CAIR and Islamic Relief
are designated as terrorist groups in the United Arab Emirates, while
the Anti-Defamation League has said that CAIR promotes anti-Jewish
sentiment….

Christians Flood Govt. Meeting in Support of Pregnancy Center’s Life-Saving Work Outside Abortion Facility

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hundreds of Christians flooded the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center on Monday night to stand
against a request from abortion advocacy groups that would ban a mobile
pro-life pregnancy center from parking outside of an abortion facility.

For more than a decade, both pro-life and pro-abortion residents have
gathered outside of A Preferred Women’s Health Center, with numbers
fluctuating from dozens to thousands. On a regular basis, pro-lifers
offer literature and free assistance, as well as gift bags to mothers
who decide not to go through with their appointment with death.

Because of the volume of traffic at the location, the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has now requested that the
Charlotte Department of Transportation study potential changes. The
abortion facility and its advocates have also requested that “no
parking” signs be placed in the immediate area.

They claim that the mobile pregnancy center and the signs displayed by pro-lifers cause traffic visibility hazards.

“This is about patient safety and safety of staff and traffic and
even neighboring businesses that are having issues delivering services
to people as needed due to the influx of people on Latrobe,” facility
administrator Calla Hales told TWC News Charlotte.

But members of the group Cities4Life note that the work of the Monroe
HELP Center, which offers free help to mothers, would be hindered if
the “no parking” signs are installed. They believe that abortion
advocacy groups and the city are just trying to get rid of them.

“We’re there … where and when they most need it,” center volunteer
Vicki Kaseorg testified on Monday. “[It] would not be possible if all
these regulations to limit our ability to do so were enacted.”

Lakilra Flowe, a mother who chose life because of the mobile HELP
Center, stood by Kaseorg’s side, holding her infant child and nodding in
agreement. Flowe now volunteers herself to help save lives outside of
the abortion facility.

As previously reported, Courtney
Parks, a nurse with the ministry, told Christian News Network in 2015
that the RV parks along the street four times a week, and has been a
blessing in the lives of many women.

Flowe holds her baby—saved from abortion—as Kaseorg speaks.“We’ve
had many instances where these ladies think that there is nothing in
their womb but what the liberal media tells them—it’s just a clump of
cells, just a blob of tissue, nothing there—and when I’m able to show
them their eight-week little baby in their womb with a heartbeat, arms
and legs moving around, …. it kind of turns a light bulb on in their
head,” she explained, noting that some mothers have even seen their
babies sucking their thumb.

“I’ve had so many women say, ‘That’s my baby!”” Parks continued.
“People are just so grateful for us standing for the truth and standing
for the babies. … They see you care, they see you want to help them and
it makes them want to choose life for their baby.”

She said that hundreds have been saved from abortion each year
because of those who have been ministering outside of abortion
facilities in the city. A number of the women are gifted with baby
showers and provided with presents to help them in welcoming their
bundle of joy.

On Monday, so many Christians—all donning teal “love life Charlotte”
t-shirts—packed the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center that there
were not enough seats in the chambers or the overflow room to hold them
all. The rest gathered in the lobby exhorting one another, praying for
the unborn and singing songs of praise.

“[Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police] notified CDOT of recent pedestrian
and traffic changes along Latrobe Dr.,” CDOT Director Danny Pleasant
told the Charlotte Observer. “CDOT is in the process of evaluating
operations along the street to check for adequate sight distances at
driveways. So far, CDOT has made no decision to change parking
regulations in the vicinity.”

CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL CHARGES MAN BEHIND PLANNED PARENTHOOD EXPOSE’ VIDEOS WITH 15 FELONIES

BY HEATHER CLARK
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California state prosecutors
have charged the pro-life investigator behind the 2014-2015 undercover
Planned Parenthood videos with 15 felonies less than a year after Texas
officials dropped all charges.

State Attorney General Xavier Becerra alleges that David Daleiden of
the Center for Medical Progress, along with his co-worker Sandra
Merritt, wrongfully recorded Planned Parenthood employees and others
without their consent in capturing the undercover footage.
Daleiden is therefore charged with 14 counts of covertly recording confidential conversations—one for each person—and one count of conspiracy to invade privacy.
“The right to privacy is a cornerstone of California’s Constitution,
and a right that is foundational in a free democratic society,” Becerra
said, according to the LA Times. “[We] will not tolerate the criminal
recording of confidential conversations.”

Daleiden said in a statement that he believes prosecutors are going after the wrong party.
“The public knows the real criminals are Planned Parenthood and their
business partners like StemExpress and DV Biologics—currently being
prosecuted in California—who have harvested and sold aborted baby body
parts for profit for years in direct violation of state and federal
law,” he remarked.
Daleiden advised that additional videos are forthcoming, which he
plans on “showing the entire world … in vindication of the First
Amendment rights of all.”
As previously reported, Daleiden, 28, had posed as a representative of a fetal tissue
procurement company in order to engage in discussions with Planned
Parenthood officials as a potential buyer of bodily organs. He recorded
the interactions, conducted at various locations across the country, as
part of his “human capital” investigative series that was released
beginning in July 2015.

The first of nearly a dozen videos released
by CMP featured Planned Parenthood Medical Director Deborah Nucatola,
who nonchalantly munched on salad and sipped wine as she talked about
adjusting the child so as not to crush certain organs due to the demand
for the body part.
“I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most
providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know
where they’re putting their forceps,” she explained.
“[Y]ou’re just kind of cognizant where you put your graspers,”
Nucatola outlined. “You try to intentionally go above and below the
thorax, so that—-you know. We’ve been very good at getting the heart,
lung, liver, because we know that, so ‘I’m not gonna crush that part.
I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna
see if I can get it all intact.’”
The second video
showed Mary Gatter, the president of Planned Parenthood’s Medical
Directors Council, haggling with the undercover investigators about the
compensation for the fetal organs, laughing, “I want a Lamborghini.”
Other footage showed an actual aborted baby being dissected in a dish,
with an assistant declaring, “Another boy!” and another video showed an abortionist laughing about how harvesting an intact baby head would be “something to strive for.”
Planned Parenthood apologized
for the insensitive “tone” of the first video, but denied that it
profits from its agreements with scientific organizations. It soon
announced that it would stop receiving reimbursement
for “expenses” surrounding the provision of body parts of aborted
babies. The abortion giant argued that the dead babies were beneficial
in research to find cures for diseases.
The organization also contended that the videos were misleading
because they had been edited, but the Center for Medical Progress
also publicly posted the hours-long unedited footage for viewing as
well.
In January of last year, the Harris County district attorney’s office in Texas charged Daleiden
with a felony count of “tampering with a governmental record” for
creating a fake driver’s license in conducting his undercover
investigation, as well as a misdemeanor count related to the purchasing
of aborted babies. All charges, which centered on Daleiden’s undercover
investigations in Texas, were dismissed by the end of July.
However, in the meantime, representatives for Kamala Harris, the attorney general of California at the time, searched Daleiden’s apartment
and seized all of his videos from the undercover investigation.
Daleiden posted a statement afterward, remarking that the investigation
was lopsided as Harris’ office ignored information surrounding the
working relationship between former buyer StemExpress and Planned
Parenthood.
StemExpress discontinued its work with the abortion giant after CMP
released videos revealing its involvement with the organization.
Planned Parenthood partner DaVinci Biosciences and its sister company DV Biologics were then sued
last October by Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckus after
he found evidence that the company had profited from the bodily organs
of aborted babies.
“From 2009 to 2015, the defendants obtained aborted fetus donations
from Planned Parenthood and turned those donations into a profit-driven
business,” he declared.
“They did so by selling tissues and cells from the heart, lungs,
kidneys, brain, intestines, skeletal muscle and bones of the aborted
fetus donations.”
Rackauckus outlined that the companies hired a marketing consultant
to create promotional materials, including a catalog, to boost sales.
His office found that profits included up to $674 in profit for each
fetal heart, up to $233 in profit for each liver, up to $221 in in
profit for each stomach, and up to $664 in profit for each small
intestine.
The companies are accused of generating $1.5 million in sales, while also marking up shipping and processing costs.
The Congressional Select Panel on Infant Lives also issued numerous criminal referrals last year while investigating Planned Parenthood and its partners, including an allegation that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast unlawfully sold baby body parts to the University of Texas.
It likewise came to believe from evidence that the University of New Mexico violated of the state’s Anatomical Gift Act, that Stem Express
violated HIPPA to increase the harvesting of body parts for profit, and
that DV Biologics received revenue for the body parts of aborted
babies.
Sen. Chuck Grassley of the Senate Judiciary Committee separately issued his own letter and report calling for the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice to conduct a federal investigation.
Specifically, the Committee noted in its report
that StemExpress, Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) and Novogenics
Laboratories purchased the bodily organs of aborted babies from several
California Planned Parenthood locations, and then resold them at
substantially higher prices. The organizations are also accused of
hiking the prices above costs for “transportation, implantation,
processing, preservation, quality control or storage of” the body parts.
“[I]n June of 2014, an ABR technician obtained a 20-week-old fetus at
a Planned Parenthood clinic, for which it paid $60,” the report
outlines. “From that one fetus, ABR sold its brain to one customer for
$325, both of its eyes for $325 each ($650 total) to a second customer, a
portion of its liver for $325 to a third customer, its thymus for $325
and another portion of its liver for $325 to a fourth customer, and its
lung for $325 to a fifth customer.”
StemExpress is accused of similar actions, paying Planned Parenthood
$55 for a baby and then selling his or her body parts for $250 each,
making $1000 from just one child.
The Committee also noted that despite Planned Parenthood’s “constant
statements to the media that [its] affiliates had merely been recovering
their costs” in receiving payment from ABR, StemExpress and other
companies, its attorneys told the investigative Congressional panel that
the Planned Parenthood offices only sought to determine their costs
after-the-fact in light of national scrutiny.
“Around that time, Planned Parenthood announced it would no longer
accept any payments in connection with its fetal tissue transfer
programs,” Grassley explained.

APPOINTMENT OF A NEW PRESIDENT AT EASTERN NAZARENE COLLEGE: SYMPTOM OF A MAJOR PROBLEM IN THE CHURCH

 https://s3.amazonaws.com/trevecca.edu/images/Dan-Boone.jpg
Appointment Of A New
President at ENC:
Symptom of A Major Problem In The Nazarene Church
BY MANNY SILVA
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Dan Boone, president of Trevecca Nazarene University, was recently
selected as the new president of Eastern Nazarene College, which is also
being discussed as a possible merger with Trevecca. He will step in
sometime after Dr. Corlis McGee leaves her current position later in the
summer. The “leaders” of the denomination are cheering, no doubt. They
have always been complicit, or at the very least willfully ignorant,
with everything that has been destroying the Nazarene denomination
spiritually.

I am not surprised at this choice. Dr. Boone and Dr. McGee share some
views that make this selection understandable. To many of us who have
voiced our concerns about the denomination for years, it further
indicates full steam ahead towards a practical marriage between
Nazarenes and Roman Catholics. The only major item that will be missing
soon is to have pope Francis as the keynote speaker at a future General
Assembly. And why not? The prayer stations are already in place, the
Roman Catholic practice of Lent and ashes to the forehead is everywhere,
and the Roman Catholic retreat is scheduled for a pre-Assembly event
this summer.

If you believe in the Bible- truly believe in it, not just parts of
it as Dan Boone does- then I could not warn you any more than I do now.
You are placing your child in danger by sending them to Eastern Nazarene
College, and frankly, there is hardly a Nazarene college now that has a
strong biblical foundation anymore.

So here is why Dr. Boone’s appointment bodes very badly, especially for those who have children of college age.

Ecumenicists Promoting Roman Catholicism

Dr. Boone and Dr. McGee are both ecumenicists. Dr. McGee has
expressed to me in a past meeting with her and the ENC provost that
Roman Catholics are our brothers and sisters in Christ. On the ENC
website, you will find Roman Catholic churches on the list of available
churches to attend in the community. In the ENC bookstore (last time I
visited), you would also find Roman Catholic related books, including a
Roman Catholic bible, along with many books by authors that promote an
ecumenical belief system.

Dr. Boone, as Trevecca president, has long promoted yearly trips for
students to the Gethsemani Monastery in Kentucky, a site that was the
spiritual home of the Roman Catholic mystic, Thomas Merton. Here at this
retreat, students from ENC have the opportunity to “practice the
silence”, which is nothing more than Catholic mysticism that has no
roots in biblical teaching. The “spiritual discipline” of silence is a
doctrine of demons. This retreat is scheduled for this year again: https://www.trevecca.edu/community-life/faith-service/spiritual-formation-retreat

Dr. Boone also has promoted the use of prayer labyrinths, and has had
one there for years at Trevecca. After I exposed this more fully, he
made excuses about it, and later re-named the labyrinth and called it
something else. It is not just Trevecca doing this: https://reformednazarene.wordpress.com/labyrinths-prayer-stations-yoga-in-the-nazarene-church/

An Uneasy Accommodation To The LGBT Community

At Eastern Nazarene College, an LGBT support group was allowed to be
established at Munro Hall. I sent a letter to Dr. McGee wondering how
Bertha Munro would have felt, knowing an LGBT group was meeting in a
building named in her honor. I received a reply their from former
chaplain, with an excuse that the school does not necessarily sponsor
the group, which was a lame excuse because all they had to do was say no
to a group whose basic premise goes against Biblical values. And this
same chaplain spoke in a chapel service several years ago, all but
promoting a relaxation of biblical standards regarding homosexuality.

For Dr. Boone, all those things at ENC fit right in with his track
record. He is known for accommodating the LGBT agenda at Trevecca,
having allowed an extreme LGBT group to come on campus to have “a
dialog.” https://reformednazarene.wordpress.com/2012/03/26/a-response-to-dan-boones-report-on-soulforce/

And lest we forget, at the last General Assembly, Dr. Boone was one
of those most instrumental in arguing for postponing an attempt to
strengthen the Church statement on homosexuality. It will be interesting
to see what the arguments for this will be this year. I working on
evidence that indicates that the denomination is in for a very difficult
time regarding the homosexuality issue, which will lead to further
division in the Church.

Hostility Towards Bible Believers

Dr. Boone has an utter disdain for Bible believing Christians, as
shown in this article I wrote a few years ago. He has compared Bible
Believing Christians to Islamic fundamentalists. He says that our
appetites have been whetted “by religious blood in the water.” (https://reformednazarene.wordpress.com/2012/10/11/dan-boone-goes-after-bible-believers-again/)

Promoting False Teachers

Dr. Boone is certainly no Bible traditionalist. He has very bad
theology, he promotes false teachers, and he does not believe in the
creation as told in Genesis. He was a prominent member of the group,
Nazarenes Exploring Evolution, before it’s website suddenly closed down
for no apparent reason. Until it closed down, folks like Dr. Boone were
heartily endorsing the idea that God used evolution to create us. He was
not alone in that group, and was joined by many well-respected pastors,
professors and national leaders. Very frightening indeed.

In an older profile at Nazarene Theological Seminary, which is no longer posted, he said the following:

“…I am deepening in the mystical forms of prayer.”

Dr. Boone promotes one of the leading teachers of contemplative
mysticism, false teacher Richard Foster. As an example, Foster makes the
amazing claim that non-believers can also practice the Christian
spiritual disciplines: “We need not be well advanced in matters of
theology to practice the Disciplines. Recent converts–for that matter
people who have yet to turn their lives over to Jesus Christ–can and
should practice them” (Celebration of Discipline, 1978, p. 2).

Dr. Boone has called Thomas Merton and Ignatius of Loyola spiritual giants.
Merton was not a spiritual giant- he was a monk who said that he was
“deeply impregnated with Sufism” because he believed that Eastern
mysticism was compatible with and could be incorporated into
Christianity.  He placed Mary high on a level equal to Jesus, he prayed
to many catholic saints.  He was influenced by Aldous Huxley, who found
enlightenment through hallucinogenic drugs.

Ignatius of Loyola was no wiser, and as the founder of the Jesuits he
brutally persecuted Christians and swore complete submission to the
pope.  As most Roman Catholics do, he venerated Mary.  He practiced
extreme asceticism, living in a cave for a year and never bathing.  He
also promoted and taught visualization prayers, breath prayers, and
other unbiblical practices (Source: Way of Life).  Yet, Dan Boone calls him a spiritual giant.

In a Letter to Pastors he wrote in 2009, Dr. Boone not only
erroneously claimed that the Roman Catholic church was the only church
for 1500 years after Christ, but he also exposed more error along with
his ecumenical get along with everyone philosophy.  How is it that we
can “be one” with the Roman Catholic Church?

“While Nazarenes are different from Catholics in very significant
ways, we believe that we will share eternity with them in the presence
of the Christ who prayed that we might be one.”

His philosophy seems to be, anyone who claims the name of Jesus, no
matter their belief otherwise, will spend eternity with Christ. This is
contrary to Jesus’s teaching, and indicates Dr. Boone’s dangerous and
ignorant thinking as he misleads others.

A Symptom Of A Bigger Problem

I am sure Dan Boone is a nice guy. But how long will the denomination
continue to tolerate nice guys who teach bad theology, who do not
believe in the creation account in Scripture, and who promote Roman
Catholic mysticism? Sadly, the appointment of Dan Boone is merely a
symptom of a much bigger problem in the Church of the Nazarene. Dan
Boone is not going anywhere else because I wrote this article. I have no
illusions of that.

It is going to take a huge cataclysmic event of spiritually
challenging proportions to generate any kind of major opposition to the
apostasy in the church. By then it might be too late. Will people only
wake up at the next General Assembly if some earth shattering amendment
is made regarding homosexuality, the next frontier in the Church? Will
same sex relations be blessed in the church? Is it happening already,
and you just don’t know it? Will homosexual “Christians” be a part of
the accepted conversation?

Or perhaps, most of the sheep in the pews will they continue on
pretending that all is well in a holiness denomination that only mouths
the words, but does not live them anymore.

Holiness is becoming heresy right before our eyes.

PRESIDENT TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE EPA ORDERS~ROLLS BACK OBAMA’S “GLOBAL WARMING” ORDERS

PRESIDENT TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE EPA ORDERS
President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that will roll back
many of former President Barack Obama’s efforts to curb global warming.
The order is aimed at helping create more American energy jobs,
although Democrats say it’s a step backward in the quest for alternative
power sources. The president signed the order at the headquarters of
the Environmental Protection Agency, declaring “the start of a new era”

“Nikki Haley to the UN: ‘The Days of Israel Bashing Are Over,’” by Cameron Cawthorne, Washington Free Beacon, March 27, 2017:

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley
received loud applause on Monday when she delivered a message at the
annual AIPAC conference defending Israel from Palestinian Authority….

“The United States tells them what we’re not going to put up with, ”
Haley said. “We start to change the culture to what we should be talking
about and then we actually act on what we say.”

“I wear heels. It’s not for a fashion statement. It’s because if I
see something wrong, we’re going to kick them every single time,” Haley
added.

Her comment received lots of cheers and applause from the crowd,
including Senor. Following the applause, Haley went into specifics about
what needed to be done.

“We are kicking by number one, putting everybody on notice. Saying
that if you have our back, we’re going to have the backs of our friends,
but our friends need to have our backs too, ” Haley said.

She continued by declaring that the days of Israel bashing are “over,” which received applause and cheers for several seconds.

“There are a lot of threats to peace and security, but you are not
going to take our number one Democratic friend in the Middle East and
beat up on them,” Haley said….

Why I Believe the Bruderhof is a Cult

I wanted to include the article below to help people asses
their respective groups and help them heal more rapidily by removing any
guilt they have for being sucked into the group by recognizing the
deceptive practices and other mind control techniques used by the
destructive cult.

I found that writing this down for myself
helped to crystalize in my mind exactly what was wrong. After posting to
alt.support. bruderhof, it also forced me to take a stand publicly
against the Bruderhof.

As a result [of the stand] I have lost all
contact with my parents and sibings in the cult. The sacrifice, while
painful, is necessary for me to live out my belief in truth and to warn
others regarding the true nature of the Bruderhof. My grieving for my
parents and siblings started when the Bruderhof sued an organization I
started called the Children of the Bruderhof. I asked my mother if she
would support me going to jail if necessary over the lawsuit. Her
response was “If it is for the greater good, yes!” I responded, “Whose
greater good mom? My kids? My wife?” She could be heard softly weeping
in the background. I had reached my true Mom then. I recently met with
them to try to determine if there was any way to bridge the current
impasse. My brother was there and did most of th talking *for* my
parents. In the end it was clear that they would hold to the “party
line”, and wouldn’t even consider a next step in attempting to heal the
rift. I now give them and the Bruderhof entirely up to the Creator to
sort out. Due to the grieving I had done prior [as a result of the
lawsuit] I was able to almost ignore the pain of this last abandonment.

I
write this to let people know you can heal, even from the family
wounds. Yes, cults will use the leverage of families to attempt to stem
the flow of the truth to the outside world. They are fighting for
survivial, and the ends justify the means in their eyes.

Why I Believe the Bruderhof is a Cult.

Below
is an expansion of Liftons characteristics. I wanted to follow it up
with why I see the Bruderhof as a destructive cult. I do this in hope
that their road to eventual decline can be turned into a renewal for its
membership. Opening up of the Bruderhof to change and meaningful
discussion with its ex-members and children would go a long way to bring
positive change. Holding up the Bruderhof to close scrutiny about the
difference between its espoused beliefs and how it acts can only will
benefit the group in the long run. I am only doing what they taught
me… to live my life the way I think Christ would have me. I cannot
suborn my relationship to God either to a group or another individual.

*******************

While
the argument rages as to what group is or isn’t a cult or to what
degree a group displays cultic tendencies, cult observers and
ex-cultists alike will agree that a destructive group or cult is best
defined as a group that espouses one thing, yet its actions are quite
another. In other words, does a group practice what it preaches? Do its
members exhibit positive influence on each other and the world around
them? Or do they withdraw? How do they treat ex-members?

The
following borrows heavily from Lifton’s and others work. While every
group or religion may possess one or more of the characteristics, cults
will usually exhibit almost all of them. The degree as to which each is
met is also telling. Rate your group, and if they exhibit most or all of
these… your group is probably a destructive cult. If you are a
parent, sibling, or friend of a cult member, investigate the group. A
good place to start is by contacting ex-members. Find out how the group
teaches its ex-members or others critical of the group. Observe the
current member inside and out of the group’s compound or away from other
group member. Is critical thinking impaired? Has the members thinking
taken a radical turn? What is the positive effect of this thinking on
the individual?

Cult Characteristics:

The
group is focused on a living (or dead) leader to whom members seem to
display excessively zealous, unquestioning commitment. The group focuses
on the leaders special insights that he/she alone can possess. These
insights are often surreal or mystic in nature. “Deification” of
leadership to the point of disregarding critical thought for oneself,
changing thought patterns from one’s former life to such an extreme one
completely disassociates oneself from friends, family and other past
associations.

*** The Bruderhof has long idolized it living
leadership. The founders writings and teaches were (are) read more often
the Bible. The founder’s son Heini was revered as a prophet and
charismatic leader. Both Heini and Eberhard’s writings are treated like
Holy Scripture, while the Bible gathers dust in the homes of members.
Leadership has passed like “divine right” from father to son in the
Arnold dynasty. The current leader is revered and held in awe much like
his father and grandfather. His books, most likely written by ghost
writers, once again are placed in a higher place then the Bible itself.
These books are so important to the Bruderhof that they hawk them on the
back of various causes, including the anti-death penalty movement and
the protest against the Cuban blockade. I see that as incredibly
self-serving. Christoph (or his ghosts) writes about forgiveness, yet
entraps Dave Meandel in a lawsuit. I don’t condone an attempt to extort
money from the Bruderhof, but nor would I condone entrapment with the
use of state law enforcement. As for family members, I have lost all
contact with my parents and siblings currently in the cult, as I have
chosen to speak the truth. If they were truely living out their stated
beliefs, it would be necessary for them to reach out and love and
convince me that I am not living up to Jesus example. “For what you do
unto the least of these, My brethren, you do unto Me” Not only am I a
true Child of the Bruderhof, but I am also one of the least of these.

The
group is preoccupied with bringing in new members. Often this is done
using deprivation of food , or withholding of sleep from the targeted
recruit. Asking the recruit to “suspend belief for just a minute” is the
start to many cult propaganda lectures. Female members may entice
recruits with promises of or actual sexual favors.

*** The
Bruderhof uses the pastoral setting and well meaning members to entice
new membership. Recruits are asked to work without pay at the Bruderhof.
The true nature of the Bruderhof is held back from the recruits.
Brotherhood meetings are held in secret, not open to the public to see
how denunciation, using real or imagined sins is used to beat the
helpless member to the leaderships will. The Lords supper and the
emotional, spiritual, and psychic flagellation that occur before are nor
open to the public. The same is true of baptism preparation. Being
constantly surrounded by members who seemingly display such caring and
love lulls the recruit into a false sense of peace and contentment.

The
group is preoccupied with making money. This is often done at the
expense of the cult member. Uneven distribution of wealth within the
group, where leadership enjoys material goods (or services) not
available to the normal member. Does the leader own flashy, expensive
cars? Large homes? What does the normal member receive? Does the member
give all his/her income to the group? What do they receive in return?

***
The Bruderhof has allegedly seized numerous estates, and in some cases
is believed to have changed legal documents to obtain inheritances. The
Bruderhof does not pay its members, and controls what the members eat
and wear. The Bruderhof demands all wealth and possessions be turned
over to the group when one is baptized as a member, and one is expelled,
these possessions are not returned. Often, little or no help is given
to those expelled, even those with large families. In a recent case, the
Bruderhof actually interdicted the efforts of a father to achieve
gainful employment, and tried to have his wife’s ability to earn a
living revoked. The Bruderhof owns and operates a Gulf Stream Corporate
jet. It leader uses that jet to visit other compounds, or, allegedly to
go on vacations. It is believed that the leader drives a expensive
Sports Utility Vehicle, a privilege other members cannot share. It is
believed the leader regularly uses his wealth to go to expensive
restaurants, attend movies and rent videos, while the membership is
denied all of these. In short, the leader enjoys a different lifestyle
then the members, enjoying the perks of power and wealth while
withholding from the membership. The membership is believed to have no
knowledge of this privileged lifestyle.

Questioning, doubt, and
dissent are discouraged or even punished. This punishment may take the
form of shunning or banishment from the group. Critical thought is
discouraged or disallowed. Fear of punishment, either emotional, or
physical is used to make members follow leaderships edicts. Group “peer
pressure” is used to force the individual member to question or change
his/her critical thinking. The group and its goals hold higher priority
then the individual. Deprivation of social interaction with others is
used to mold thought patterns and punish the individual for supposed
wrongdoing or questioning of the leadership.

*** Exclusion or
exclusion from the group is common. In a recent case, when one member
questioned the harassment campaign of a help line offered by the
Children of the Bruderhof, he and his family were expelled as a result.
His refusal to back down in his questioning lead to his expulsion. In
another recent case, a member attempted to start a Bible study group,
and was expelled as a result. This from a so-called Christian
organization! A great crisis was created in the 1960 time frame to
consolidate power around Heini Arnold, and as many as 600 people were
expelled as a result. Unity for its own sake is a fact of life in the
Bruderhof. A recent incident yielded this quote. “It’s not whether it is
right or wrong, but that we do it together.” This quote is attributed
to the wife of a person in a leadership role.

Mind-numbing
techniques (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues,
denunciation sessions, debilitating work routines) are used to suppress
doubts about the group and its leader(s). Use of confessions or other
real or perceived “sins” or wrong doings are used to browbeat the member
under duress. Often crises are created, using imaginary wrongs, to have
members look inward to ferret out non-existent faults. The breakdown of
the individual in favor of “group-think” is commonplace. Poor diet or
sleep deprivation may be used.

*** Group “unity” take precedence
over all else in the Bruderhof (See above quote). Sin files and
perceived sins are used in “Brotherhood” meetings to manipulate the
helpless soul under the leaderships scrutiny. Other members join in to
browbeat the individual for fear that the focus will turn to them if
they do not. True forgiveness is not a reality at the Bruderhof. Often
(alleged) sins are dredged up over a period of years or decades.
Manipulation by manufactured “crisis” are commonplace int the Bruderhof.

The
leadership dictates sometimes in great detail how members should think,
act, and feel (for example: members must get permission from leaders to
date, change jobs, get married; leaders may prescribe what types of
clothes to wear, where to live, how to discipline children, and so
forth). This may even go into areas considered extremely private, such
as what a married couple doe in the bedroom. The degree as to which this
happens is one of the key features of a cult. Is the leaders word all
pervasive? Followed without question? What recourse does a member have
if he/she feels the leadership is wrong? What happens to the member if
they do not follow the leaders edicts?

***. The Bruderhof
leadership says who can and cannot date or marry. They control what
happens in the marital bedroom. Careers are chosen, made or broken by
the leadership. Equal opportunity for college education is not offered
to all members. Children of the leadership are given leadership roles
early on, and are favored with education they chose. Most all aspects of
(communal) life are controlled by the leadership.

The group is
elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s),
and members (for example: the leader is considered the Messiah or an
avatar; the group and/or the leader has a special mission to save
humanity). How does the differ from their actions, especially to members
or children who have left the group. Does the group have “secret”
writings or beliefs it will not share with its members or the public. To
what degree are it governing or religious (group) functions open to the
public? To ex-members? Does the group encourage public scrutiny?

***
In a 2 hour long discussion I had with a childhood friend, I asked him
how I could have a relationship with him a fellow Christian he answered
that I couldn’t, that I would need to live at the Bruderhof. While the
Bruderhof will not publicly admit to it, they claim the Bruderhof is the
best way to serve Jesus. Prayer is withheld from other professing
Christians. Brotherhood meetings are held in secret, away from public
scrutiny. The Lord’s Supper is not open to members outside the group
(including other professing Christians)

The group has a polarized
us- versus-them mentality, which causes conflict with the wider
society. Often the group beliefs are black versus white, leaving little
room for discussion or adaptation. Groups may arm or secure their
compounds against real or perceived threats. Ex-members are often
demonized, and access to family is restricted or cut off.

*** The
Bruderhof has long held an us versus them mentality. Only in recent
years has it turned to the “outside” to further its aim. It had long
held itself back from the world, including withholding newspapers, TV
and the like from its membership. Outside influence of almost any kind
is discouraged. The withholding of family visitation has increased over
the last several years. Can you imagine having such them versus us
mentality that you would sue your own children? The Bruderhof has done
it, in the case of the Hutterian Brethren against the Children of the
Bruderhof. Mike LeBlanc was one of the defendants, and his parents are
current Bruderhof members. Ex-members and children have been demonized,
and almost all access to the Bruderhof from family members has been
restricted or cut off totally. Recently the Elder of the Bruderhof
gained a permit for a 44 caliber handgun, the reason on the permit was
“for protection of the community (Bruderhof) and its members. Also,
expensive security systems have been added to the Bruderhof properties.
Police records also show shots being fired into a neighbors house in NY
state.

The group’s leader is not accountable to any authorities
(as are, for example, military commanders and ministers, priests, monks,
and rabbis of mainstream denominations). Often disregard for secular or
constitutional law is scoffed at or trod upon. Illegal activities are
justified by suspension of critical thinking, or paranoia about
“attacks” from the outside. The leader is obeyed without question. and
his/her actions cannot and will not be questioned.

*** The
current Elder and his henchman are certainly not accountable to the
membership. And they currently abuse both the legal system and law
enforcement (in the entrapment of Dave Meandel, an ex-member). Their use
of wire taps has gone uninvestigated by the authorities. The leadership
recently flaunted their disregard for the law by join the Caravanistas
breaking the Cuban blockade. They support a murderer of a policeman. You
be the judge.

The group teaches or implies that its supposedly
exalted ends justify means that members would have considered unethical
before joining the group (for example: collecting money for bogus
charities). Illegal or immoral acts, including use of harassing
lawsuits, become commonplace. Wiretaps and theft of information are
used. Email accounts may be interdicted.

*** See above. Could you
sue your own children? What about making stickers for a supposed sex
line using the help line number started by the Children of the
Bruderhof? Wiretapping? Blocking children from visiting the grave of
their loved ones? Parents? What about telling relatives of death months
after the event? These and other acts are examples of immoral,
unethical, and in some cases illegal activities the Bruderhof has taken
to of late.

Members’ subservience to the group causes them to cut
ties with family and friends, and to give up personal goals and
activities that were of interest before joining the group. Suspension of
critical thinking is pre-dominant. Destruction of the individual in
favor of the group is commonplace. Mail or other communication may be
intercepted.

*** Calls are not taken by loved ones inside the
compound. Email and other mail is either directly filtered, or by using
peer pressure, the mail is handed over to leadership. It is believed
that mail outbound may never be sent. We know email has been either
directly or in-directly been intercepted by the leadership.

Members
are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group. This is
enforced enough that the member may suffer poor health. Their
appearance may change. Often the members are forced to live or work in
the compound of the group. The members earnings are given to the group
and its leader, the member getting little or nothing in return.

***
The Bruderhof demands your life.. period. You are expected to give all
time and money to the Bruderhof. Your relationships are controlled by
the leadership. You thoughts, feelings, and emotions are constantly
called into question and manipulated for the leaders purposes.
Manipulation by fear and crisis are commonplace at the Bruderhof. Upon
expulsion the members is often given little or no help. The Bruderhof
has even made it difficult for ex-members to find work.

nurturing children and young people and how the deep joy of a
faith-filled life is an invitation to others to discover Jesus. The late
Pope John Paul II spoke along these lines as well: “Even in struggle
solidarity remains open to dialogue,” and “Solidarity, of its very

so always on the basis of a vision of community and of calling to full

 LOVELY BUT DEADLY
 Areej Zufari
FLORIDA: MUSLIM PROFESSOR TEACHES ISLAM AS FACT, CHRISTIAN STUDENT DISAGREES, GETS SUSPENDED, FRAUDULENT POLICE REPORT FILED
BY ROBERT SPENCER

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Professor Areej Zufari taught “that the crucifixion of Jesus was a hoax and that his disciples did not believe he was God.”

This is not historical fact. It is pure Islamic dogma. Unless
Marshall Polston had signed up for a class on Islamic dogma, Zufari had
no business teaching these views as fact rather than faith. But as ever,
it is Polston who has to take the fall, as Zufari deftly stepped into
victimhood mode, with the willing complicity of the easy Leftist marks
in the Rollins College administration.

“Rollins College Suspends Student After He Challenged Radical Muslim Hate Speech,” by Jacob Engels, Central Florida Post, March 25, 2017:

The school’s academic double standard and complacency with dangerous hate speech is on full display.

Not even a year after Radical Islamic terrorist Omar Mateen killed 49
people at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub, Rollins College officials are
punishing a Christian Conservative student who challenged a liberal
Muslim professor and radicalized Muslim student during a conversation on
the application of Sharia Law.

Marshall Polston confirmed to the Central Florida Post that Professor
Areeje [actually Areej] Zufari, who teaches a “Muslim Humanities”
course at Rollins, has made outlandish claims against him and even filed
a false police report.

Early on in the class, Polston said he realized the professor was
harboring Anti-Christian beliefs, demonstrated by the professor’s
assertion that the crucifixion of Jesus was a hoax and that his
disciples did not believe he was God.

“It was very off-putting and flat out odd. I’ve traveled the Middle
East, lectured at the Salahaddin University, and immersed myself in
Muslim culture for many years. Honestly, it reminded me of some of the
more radical groups I researched when abroad.”

Whether religious or not, I believe even those with limited knowledge
of Christianity can agree that according to the text, Jesus was
crucified and his followers did believe he was divine… that he was
“God.” Regardless, to assert the contrary as academic fact is not
supported by the evidence.

Polston says that he challenged her on this point during a class
discussion and after that, Professor Zufari promptly failed him on a
major essay and refused to provide input as to why she issued a 52%
grade for the essay.

“I was upset, understandably. I’ve never gotten anything less than
straight A’s, so I was really interested in figuring out how to possibly
improve or at least understand the grade.”

This is when we step into the Twilight Zone. The teacher then
reported Polston to the “Dean of Safety” at Rollins and cancelled class
because she claimed he was making her feel “unsafe.”

When classes resumed, the professor decided to focus on a hot-button
issue, the application of Sharia Law. During the discussion, according
to Polston, another student made a shocking statement.

The student, a yet to be identified Muslim male, is said to have
showcased a very strict adherence to the Quaran in previous group talks.
But this time, he went too far for many students in the classroom.

“He stated that a good punishment for gays, adulterers, and thieves
was the removal of a certain body part, as determined by Sharia law.
It
took a few seconds for me to realize that he actually said that,
especially after what this community has faced with the tragic loss of
life at Pulse,” explained Polston.

The Muslim college professor jokingly responded to the student that
he was “in time-out” or something to that effect, and should remain
quiet for a few minutes. Several students, of both Islamic and Christian
backgrounds, thought the teacher should have reported the incident, but
the request fell on deaf ears.

One student, who asked to remain anonymous, even reported the
incident to the F.B.I., figuring it was better to say something than
just ignore it.

That’s when Polston was summoned to the Dean of Safety’s office to
discuss his probable suspension and how he was making Rollins College
“unsafe” because of his difference of opinion with Professor Zufari and
the hard-line Muslim student who displayed Islamic Fascist sympathies.

“They made it clear that they had not gotten a report about what the
student said, and were more concerned about the danger I was causing to
the campus. What danger? A difference of opinion in a college classroom
is nothing out of the ordinary and certainly not dangerous. It was
surreal and degrading. The bad grade was upsetting, but they were
literally refusing to acknowledge the dangers posed by someone who
advocated chopping off body parts on campus.”…

Now we have learned that Polston has been suspended from the school
and ordered not to appear on campus or have any contact with Professor
Zufari….

Professor Zufari has also filed a police report with the Winter Park
Police Department, claiming Polston violated the order and showed up to
class on Thursday to harass her, according to documents obtained by the
Central Florida Post.

This appears impossible however, as Polston confirms to us that he
was with his elderly grandfather and traveling to Daytona Beach for the
opening of Embry Riddle College’s MicaPlex during the hours the class
was held.

He has even provided a receipt from a restaurant in Orlando’s Dr.
Phillips area, and stills of video surveillance showing him purchasing
food during the time of the class as well.

“I will be releasing witness statements shortly proving I could not
have been where Professor Zufari said I was Thursday night. It’s
shameful that she lied to the police.”…

The Western world is adopting Sharia blasphemy restrictions with nary a whimper.
Now Facebook and Twitter have blocked 90% of their daily referrals from Jihad

what is all over, replaced by a restful Sharia-compliant silence.

ISLAMABAD: Facebook is now obliging Pakistan government
requests to remove blasphemous content from the platform and almost 85
percent of such material has been taken down, senior government
officials have informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

A single-judge bench of the IHC on Monday resumed the hearing of petition filed against blasphemous content on social media.

On the last hearing, Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui had observed that
the court would decide whether the Facebook should be banned in
Pakistan.

The court had directed the Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication
Authority (PTA) to present a fresh report regarding the measures taken
to stop the practice on social media.

The PTA chief informed the bench that the authority is working
diligently on the matter and a team of 25 people is searching
sacrilegious material on social media. We have initiated action against
owners of 40 such pages.

‘Facebook has now removed blasphemous material from its platform and
the company is now acting on our request. It is our success that they
are doing this as earlier the company even not considering it a serious
matter.’

The Interior Secretary apprised the court about the steps taken by
the government in this regard. The law enforcement agencies have
arrested three suspects who were involved in this heinous crime, he
said.

The government has formed an investigation committee. Almost 85
percent of blasphemous content has been removed, and shutting down
Facebook is not the solution, he added.

STUDENT GROUPS AT “CHRISTIAN” EASTERN UNIVERSITY SEEKING SOFTER POLICIES ON HOMOSEXUALITY & ALL SORTS OF “ACCOMODATIONS”

CORRUPT EASTERN UNIVERSITY
IN THE PHILADELPHIA SUBURBS
STUDENTS WANT POLICIES TOWARD LGBT CHANGED
STUDENT GROUPS AT CHRISTIAN IDENTIFIED UNIVERSITY SEEKING SOFTER POLICIES ON HOMOSEXUALITY
BY HEATHER CLARK
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:
WAYNE, Pa. — Two student groups at a
Christian-identified university in Pennsylvania are asking that the
school soften its policies on homosexuality, including removing language
in its student handbook that defines marriage as being between a man
and a woman.

Members of Eastern University’s “gay-straight alliance” club known as
Refuge, as well as its Political Activism Club (PAC), teamed up to host
“LGBT Solidarity Week” on campus March 13-17. Prior to the event, the
groups also sent correspondence to the university board to ask that
changes be made to the student handbook in accordance with
recommendations from the Human Sexuality Task Force.

“This movement would like to advocate for changes that it does not
feel are controversial, so as to make Eastern a more inclusive place for
LGBT+ students,” a post on the Oddysey website reads.

The groups have requested, among other changes, that the university
remove “homosexual conduct” from its citations of prohibited “moral
turpitude” in the faculty handbook.

“Gay people are just normal people with the same beliefs and career
goals as everyone else. People should not have to choose between their
career and who they love,” they wrote.
“Second, it is important for LGBT students to have mentors who are
familiar with their experiences. It’s hard to be out as an LGBT person
in a Christian community, and it would be amazing for LGBT students to
have professors who they could talk to about it.”

The students have also requested that the school remove language
defining marriage as being between a man and a woman as they assert that
it is not agreed upon among Christians.

“At this point in history, the interpretation of the biblical
teachings that have to do with homosexuality is not universally agreed
upon,” they contended. “While the traditional stance is probably more
common, there are many biblical scholars, including Eastern’s own Tony
Campolo, who support gay marriage.”

“For the university to take an official stance on the issue of
homosexuality does not encourage open conversations about this issue,
especially since the university does not take an official stance on
other commonly disputed theological issues,” Refuge and PAC opined.

The students have likewise put forward that Eastern University should
allow those who identify as “transgender” to choose whichever housing
arrangement they prefer—male or female dorms—and that the policy manual
should remove the phrase “the anatomical sex of the student” in regard
to placement.

“[T]he university should continue moving in the direction of full
inclusion of trans students by removing this phrase from the policy and
continuing to work with students on a case-by-case basis to find a good
living arrangement for every student,” they wrote.

Denise McMillan, the communications director for Eastern University,
told the Christian Post in a statement that discussions about sexual
matters have been underway with students for the past three years.

“In 2014 Eastern University’s president formed a task force to engage
the community in a multi-year dialogue on issues related to human
sexuality,” she said. “That discussion is ongoing …”

According to the Eastern University website, the American
Baptist-affiliated school
aims to take the “whole gospel to the whole
world through whole persons.”

“We recognize the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, as
inspired of God and as the supreme and final authority in faith and
life,” it states. “We submit ourselves to carrying out our mission under
its authority and seek to apply biblical principles to all facets of
human aspiration and action, including the centrality of personal
transformation.”

Jesus said in Matthew 19:4-5, “Have ye not read that He which made
them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this
cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife,
and they twain shall be one flesh?’”

THE “LIES” BEHIND “THE SHACK”
BY BUD AHLHEIM

 John the Baptist
circa 1650 by Il Cavalier Calabrese

Of all the individuals introduced to us in the New Testament, the one
who would perhaps win the vote for “most likely to live in a shack”
would be John The Baptist.

The Baptist shows up in all four Gospels and is mentioned several times in Acts. The picture painted of this greatest prophet (Luke 7:28), foretold by Isaiah as one who would “prepare the way of the Lord” (Matthew 3:3),
is one that depicts a rugged, adventurous sort of fellow whose message
positioned him as an iconoclast against the prevailing religious culture
of his day.

Bedecked in a “not appropriate for a fancy Jerusalem soiree” garment
of camel hair, girded about his torso with a leather belt, John is
described as a character much better suited to the Judean wilderness
than to acceptable Jewish society. His diet of “locusts and honey” seems
highlighted to make apparent his unorthodox lifestyle. For even the
most adventurous Jew, you wouldn’t just find “locust and honey” flavored
granola at the nearest kosher market, in the event one wanted to
emulate the Baptist’s outdoor lifestyle.

But John wasn’t merely a rugged, wilderness living, outdoorsy
adventurer. He was the prophet of God who would, after a four hundred
year drought of prophecy, usher in the actual sandals-on-the-ground
ministry of God in this world. He was the final forerunner to the One
who would be greater than Moses. (Hebrews 3:1-6).

Though we are not given the details of exactly where the Baptist
lived during his Judean wilderness ministry, his eccentric presentation
and his unapproved religious message present him as a social and
religious outcast who could easily be seen living in some remote “shack”
by the edge of the Jordan River.

Regardless, though, of his abode – whether a shack, a cave, a tent,
or merely under the immense twinkling canopy of God’s heaven – the
Baptist attracted attention.   His ministry brought out the curious and
the concerned. It brought authentic believers and self-righteous
detractors. They came from the towns and villages of Judea, including
Jerusalem, to hear this man as he proclaimed his novel message.

Where John the Baptist identified himself as “the voice of one crying in the wilderness” (John 1:23) the modern story from the modern Shack is anything but … The Shack
message seems to be basking in the glowing praise of the multitudes.
But it was the message that John proclaimed – whether from a wilderness
“shack” or not – that distinguishes him from the wildly popular current
thing which is equally drawing out believers and detractors.  But in
the modern case of The Shack,
it is John’s message which is so glaringly absent and which so easily
identifies it as a dangerous theological dalliance more common to the
wide path than the narrow way (Matthew 7:13-14) which the Baptist came to announce.

“Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.” (Matthew 3:1-2)

This latest contemporary “Christian craze” drawing the masses – The Shack
– is being lauded as the greatest thing since the crucifixion and
resurrection.  But if John the Baptist’s message has been increasingly
disregarded in our day, it has been disregarded most epically so in
William Paul Young’s book and movie. The wrongful detractors of the
Baptist in his day don’t find their counterparts in the rightful
detractors of The Shack
today. Those warning against this Hollywood heresy do so because it
disregards the message and the path which the Baptist came to proclaim. The Shack
exudes and amplifies what is so rampant in the Bible-barren wilderness
of the modern church – the lack of a clear presentation of the rightly
understood Gospel and the echoing of God’s command for all men to
“repent and believe.”  (Acts 17:30)

Young’s latest book, Lies We Believe About God reveals the fundamental lies behind The Shack.   The lies presumably refuted are, in fact, themselves deceptive. In Lies
28 brief chapters – one for each “lie” believed by Christians – Young
lays out his -for lack of a better word – theology that drove the faux
faith flick.
In a word – in a single word – an appropriate review of this latest book, as well as The Shack, would be the word: UNCHRISTIAN.

“Be assured, there is nothing new in theology, except that which is false.”  Charles Spurgeon

Though throngs of “faith leaders and influencers” have endorsed the flick,
their praises of it actually serve to provide some providential
clarity, distinguishing – for the “abide in my Word” disciple (John 8:31)–
the narrow path from the wide path. The thousands upon thousands
thronging to the movie, lauding it as emotionally powerful and
provocatively Christian, have done exactly what Young’s theology has
done with John the Baptist’s entreaty. They have forgotten the Gospel
and its call to “repent and believe.”

Of the many, many “lies” in Lies,
this lack of apprehension and proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ is most fundamental to the multitude of errors that necessarily
follow and flow from its absence. NOTHING can be considered Christian if
it does not first proceed the Gospel.   Though Christian terms, church
words, and the names of “God,” “Jesus,” and “The Holy Spirit” are
bandied about with casual frequency, these things – apart from the
Gospel – merely become, in Young’s “theology,” recitations of the
imaginative (and damning) mental constructions of pop, religious
culture.

Lacking a fundamental understanding of the Gospel, Young’s latest
book, then, propounds a number of lies about God and Christianity.
Second only, perhaps, to the lack of a Biblical Jesus recognizable
through the Biblical Gospel, it is the disregard for Scripture itself
that marks Young’s illicit theology.   Though he cites Scripture, his
interpretation is uniquely his own, perverting the meaning intended by
God and as taught, preached, proclaimed and believed throughout two
millennia of authentic Christian orthodoxy.

Once Scripture has been given over to this “what’s this verse mean to
me” form of interpretation, any and all manner of error and heresy will
flow as the result. Such is the case with Lies.
From an egregiously faulty view of God, Young necessarily presents an
equally faulty, unscriptural view of man. The Gospel’s absence
precipitates the need to avoid, explain, or dismiss such necessary, and
fundamental to authentic Christian faith, doctrines ranging from sin, to
atonement, to justification, to the afterlife. Heretical views of God
and man, though touted to be Christian, are infused with healthy doses
of post-modern subjectivism, new age reflectiveness, and eastern
concepts of humanity’s “divine spark.”

With Scripture dismantled by faulty interpretation, or completely
discarded at crucial points, as it is in Young’s latest book, there is
no threshold against which to measure right from wrong. And, in Lies,
there is no evident right from wrong. All is subjective, personal, and
to be tolerated as individually acceptable. A sort of “what I think” or
“what you think” about God is okay, so long as we’re thinking about God.

A line from its dust jacket gives a flavor of Young’s theological
incertitude and serves as an ample warning of what theological
atrocities in the name of Christianity lay ahead in the book: “The goal
of this book is not controversy but conversation. Mostly, it’s about the
unconditional, relentless, and everlasting love of God.”

While the Biblically-offensive “Jesus loves you and has a wonderful
plan for your life” is hallowed as evangelical doctrine, its noxious
presence in Lies  – in
which “plan” really implies “God just wants a relationship with you” –
is no less Scripturally invalid than when it is touted from your nearest
Sunday morning pulpit.  Indeed, be it a controversy or a conversation,
the Lies‘ absence of the rightly handled Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15)
as the threshold against which correct understanding may be had make
Young’s efforts illicit, unhelpful, and patently heretical. The reason
of man cannot conceive the mind of God, apart from the
Spirit-illuminated, special revelation of His Word. What results from
Young’s “conversation” is nothing short of what the apostle would call
the “teaching of demons.”  (1 Timothy 4:1)

No Gospel, No “Repent and Believe” Because … Universalism

In Lies, Young
explicitly avoids the opening divine command of the New Testament,
introduced by the prophet John The Baptist. There is no need to “repent
and believe” because Young promotes universalism, a notion deemed
heretical throughout the annals of orthodox church history.
Even though
we live in a post-modern, subjective world, we can be certain that the
abiding attribute of God’s immutability has persisted. His message, His
method, and His Gospel – like Himself – have not changed. But for Young
and his post-modern, emotions-first, mystic-embracing, esoteric
religious readers, it has. And it has changed to support that
pagan-favorite heresy of heresies: universalism. Everybody gets to go to
heaven.

“Papa is especially fond of you” is a resounding divine affirmation from the book and movie which Young repeats in his Lies.
He closes out one chapter with his own quaint agreement of this
universal view of God for each man saying, “Darling, that is all any of
us need to know.”

But the notion that we are all God’s children, all loved relentlessly
by Him, regardless of Christ’s atoning work, and certainly regardless
of the “repent and believe” command of God, leaves Young wrestling with
the Scripture-present reality of the saving Gospel. Though modern
evangelicalism has folded, spindled, and mutilated it, the “Gospel” is
familiar to most pew-dwellers. Many will even know that it means “Good
news,” while the full counsel of its implications may otherwise go to
the wayside. Still, for most, the Gospel is an expected component of
Christianity.  So Young doesn’t disregard it but instead contorts the
Gospel to accommodate his heresy of universalism. His chapter entitled
“You need to get saved,” – which is, remember, a “lie” – includes the following:

“The Good News is not that Jesus has opened up the
possibility of salvation and you have been invited to receive Jesus into
your life. The Gospel is that Jesus has already included you into His
life, into His relationship with God the Father, and into His anointing
in the Holy Spirit. The Good News is that Jesus did this without your
vote, and whether you believe it or not won’t make it any less true.”

While the historical reality and God-empowered spiritual efficacy of
the Good News don’t, in fact, hinge on “whether you believe it or not,”
the deceit in Young’s description is evident. The Gospel of Jesus Christ
is – singularly – the power of God to save. (Romans 1:16)
But Young’s interpretation leaves that pre-eminent command of God to
all men, everywhere, to “repent and believe” an unnecessary
complication.

“God does not wait for my choice and then ‘save me.’ God has acted decisively and universally for all humankind.”

“Here’s the truth: every person who has ever been conceived was
included in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus.”

Near the close of this chapter’s “lie,” Young adds the italicized comment regarding the work of Christ, “We have all been included.” (Emphasis original)

Young further emphasizes the heresy of universalism in a chapter
refuting the lie that “Not everyone is a child of God.” Says Young,
“Every human being you meet, interact with, react and respond to, treat
rudely or with kindness and mercy: every one is a child of God.”

But this insanely popular notion stands in direct contradiction to
Scripture. While “every one” is a creation of God, “every one” is not a
child of God. Scripture clearly defines the “child of God” to be the one
who believes. (See John 1:12, Romans 8;16, Romans 9:8, 1 John 3:1-10)

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”  John 1:12

We’re All In, Because God Is Good, and So Are We

In order to (in)effectively dismiss the perspicuous teaching of
Scripture about man’s fallen nature, endemic to “every person who has
ever been conceived,” Young denies Scripture’s Genesis-to-Revelation
testimony of human depravity.
Scripture teaches that we are brought
forth in iniquity, conceived in sin (Psalm 51:5),
and apart from the atoning, substitutionary work of Christ and being
brought to repentance, belief, and faith through His Gospel, we remain
in a “condemned already” condition. (John 3:18)

Young’s Lies unfolds
this perspective in chapter two, “God is Good. I Am Not.” In presuming
to shatter this “lie” that we believe, Young opens with “This lie is
huge! And it is devastating!”  Saying, “Yes, we have crippled eyes, but
not a core of un-goodness,” Young declares “I am fundamentally good
because I am created ‘in Christ’ as an expression of God, an image
bearer, imago dei. (Ephesians 2:10)”

Here’s what that verse from Paul to the Ephesians, cited by Young, says:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Though Young would like to postulate that Paul’s use of the word “we”
implies “for every person ever conceived,” his citation as such is
Scripture-twisting extraordinaire. Typical of his mishandling of
Scripture, Young fails to recognize the target audience of Paul’s
epistle:

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus: (Ephesians 1:1)

Paul addressed his letter to the “ faithful saints” in Ephesus, not
to unbelieving pagans. The “we” means “we” the church, “we” the
believers, “we” the ones who have repented and believed the Gospel,
given faith by the regenerative work of God alone. “We” isn’t universal;
“we” is exclusive … by the grace of God.

Young’s belief in the intrinsic goodness of man is explained further
when he refutes the “lie” that “sin separates us from God.” He opens
this chapter by offering a cutesy perspective of sin not as man’s
willful, prideful violation of Holy God’s righteous law, but merely as
sorts of “oopsies” we naturally make. He says that “making mistakes is
not only okay for human beings but is also indeed essential.” (emphasis original)

“Do we really think that Jesus never made a mistake on
His homework, or never forgot someone’s name, or as a carpenter always
made accurate measurements? Jesus didn’t have a reputation for being the
‘best carpenter’ in Nazareth, making perfect doors and always level
tables.”

Young goes on to explain that the notion of sin as “missing the mark”
really means that we’ve missed a “relational reality” with God that
creates a “distortion of the image of God in us.” The post-modern
esoteric language is intended to say that sin isn’t about our violation
of the moral demands of God’s righteous expectations for us. The “mark”
that we missed is not, says Young, “perfect moral behavior. The ‘mark”
is the Truth of your being.”

“There is a truth about who you are: God’s proclamation
about a ‘very good creation’ is the truest about you. That very good
creation is the form or origin of you, the truth of who you are in your
being. Sin, then, is anything that negates or diminishes or
misrepresents the truth of who you are, no matter how pretty or ugly
that is.”

Young also states that:

“We Christians have long espoused a theology of
separation. A lot of ‘my people’ will believe that the following
statement is in the Bible, but it isn’t: ‘You have sinned, and you are separated from God.” (Emphasis original)

Young’s Bible must be missing a number of books, chapters, and
verses. Here are two notable ones that teach the theology of sin-induced
separation:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a  separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2

But for Young, separation from God because of sin is a “lie.” “If
separation is a lie, does it mean that no one has ever been separated
from God? That is exactly what it means. Nothing can separate us from
the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39)”
Of course, once again, Young forgets the rather important context of
his citation of Romans. Paul had a very specific group in mind when he
used the word “us:” “To all those in Rome who are loved by God and
called to be saints” (Romans 1:7)

God Isn’t Really, Fully God – Sovereignty Denied

For Young, the attributes of God – besides His salvific,
universalistic decisiveness – are simply echoes of popular pagan
sidewalk theology, so often mimicked in evangelical pulpits in order to
keep goat pews occupied. God is good. God is love. God wants the best for you.
God, in Young’s theology, has no glaring attributes of justice,
righteousness, wrath, holiness, etc.  Like a television commercial
marketing some indulgent, but healthy, crave-able, guilt-free treat, God
is all the good that you want, and none of the bad you don’t. But
there’s one attribute of God that Young must wrestle with, an attribute
-while yet so misunderstood among pew dwellers and pulpits – that
remains intrinsic to the idea of “God.”  God is sovereign.

But according to Young’s Lies,
God is anything but sovereign. Though he apes much of what the pagan
world claims to believe about God, Young’s argument for a less than
sovereign God not only betrays common opinion (If there is a God, then
He must be totally in control, right? The ultimate characteristic of God
is that He’s unlimited in scope, power, and authority, right?), but his
opinion also defiles Scripture itself.

“God is a God of relationship and never acts independently.”

Young’s need to have a less than fully sovereign God is driven by his
inability to accommodate evil in the world with his God who is all love
and nothing but love. “One can’t run to God,” says Young, “if God is
the perpetrator” of evil.” So Young has undertaken to defend God from
evil in the world and he does that by making God less than sovereign.

“Do we actually believe we honor God by declaring God the
author of all this mess in the name of Sovereignty and Omnipotent
Control?”

Young calls such a notion “grim determinism,” “fatalism” and cannot be used to “justify evil.”

Young cites a “German friend” to help explain the notion of a God who
is not in control. His friend’s comment seems legitimately evangelical
enough, but in reality, it posits a God more common in the theology of
open theism, one who inherently lacks control and must learn as He goes.

“Scriptures show me that God has the heart of an artist,
not a grim construction planner. If the world were the work of a cosmic
engineer, he would be in a constant state of discontentedness. We would
all suffer from the constant nagging of a dogged designer who’s plans
just never work out like he intended or expected. Reality could never
live up to his spotless construction plans. But a true Creator knows he
not only has to shape, but also endorse and allow. Wisdom allows things
to grow and unfold.”

Young applauds this “learn as you go” concept of God, which
alleviates for him some of the evident realities of suffering, hardship,
and evil in the world. “The sovereignty of God is not about
deterministic control. So how does God reign? By being who God is: love
and relationship.”

To put a fine point of Scripture forth in response to this very
unchristian and unbiblical -yet culturally-pervasive – notion, consider a
verse from the Old Testament and one from the New:

“I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end
from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying,
‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,” Isaiah 46:9-10

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible
and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all
things were created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:16

Scripture makes it clear (in numerous places – see such texts as Psalm 90:2, Colossians 1:17, Psalm 97:9, Hebrews 1:3, 1 Chronicles 29:11-12, Psalm 135:6)
that God – the God of authentic Christianity – is absolutely sovereign.
Perhaps though, Young and those who have difficulty reconciling God’s
sovereignty with earthly evil should ponder this verse from the inspired
wisdom of Proverbs and a corollary verse from the New Testament.

“The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.”  Proverbs 16:4

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

No Hell Below Us … At Least Not One That Isn’t Redemptive and Palliative

Having jettisoned the gospel and the nearly ubiquitous New Testament
call to “repent and believe,” having inculcated a heretical notion of
universalistic salvation for all men who are inherently good, and after
de-attributing God of His pre-eminent characteristic of sovereignty, the
one other notable thing that Young destroys in his unchristian theology
is another fundamental New Testament concept. There is no hell.

In his chapter entitled “Hell is separation from God,” Young attempts
to dismantle the erroneous belief of many about a subject very common
in the teaching of Jesus. But, according to Young’s explanation, Jesus
may have gotten a few details wrong.
Young recounts how he applied his
human reason to the difficult concept of hell in The Shack.

“In The Shack, I tried to move the conversation
about hell from the head to the heart by putting the main character,
Mackenzie, in the crosshairs of a terrible dilemma. In the cave where
Mack faces the Wisdom of God, Sophia, she demands that he take the
position of Judge, a role that he, like all of us, assumes daily. But
Sophia turns the tables unexpectedly.”

“Choose two of your children to spend eternity in God’s new heaven
and new earth, but only two … and three of your children to open
eternity in hell.”

“Sophia is driving the reality of this issue away from a disengaged,
heady debate and down into the deepest recesses of the heart and soul –
the visceral love of a parent for his or her children. It also exposes the lie that God is not a loving Father – not even as good a parent as we are
– and the lie that this remarkable, unreasonable love we have for our
children originates in us and not in God.” (Emphasis added)

The problem with Young’s attempt to eliminate eternal punishment from
a God who is all love – a pursuit he seeks to accomplish vicariously
through his blasphemous female character representing God – exposes
fundamental problems borne from the lack of a truly sovereign, utterly
Holy God. Without the belief in a sovereign, holy God, the ability to
reconcile hell, as well as the reality of evil in the world, is
impossible. Such things cannot be comprehended without a sovereign God,
without Whom – in His sovereignty – we are left to grapple with Biblical
realities, such as hell and evil purely on the basis of our fallen
understanding of not only what true, divine love looks like, but also
what true, divine justice looks like.

Thus Young’s eradication of hell is built on a framework of human
reason, with disregard to Scriptural insights. The reality of parental
love may express a sense of divine love for “those You have given Me,” (John 17:9),
but it cannot nearly presume to adequately define it. God’s
characteristic of love sits fully aside His other, equal-in-measure
attributes of righteousness, holiness, wrath, etc. These immutable
qualities of God do not change over time nor compete with one another in
their expressed fulness. The paradox that God can be loving yet damn
his creatures to hell does not speak to a momentary lapse of divine
love, but to the paradoxical reality that the full force of all His
attributes are always present, and that as the potter to the clay, He
alone has the freedom to do with His creatures as He wills.

“Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of
the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable
use? What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his
power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for
destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels
of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory— even us whom he
has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?”  Romans 9:21-24

So while a parent would never damn a child to hell, the sovereign God
who is the creator of all certainly has, does, and will. Love is not
God’s only attribute, despite Young’s and much of the evangelical
church’s teaching. God is love, indeed, but that feature does not
negate, offset, or eliminate the righteous exhibition of His other fully
divine attributes. Yet Young finds the Scriptural truth of hell-
proclaimed most frequently by the Lord Himself – to be untenable. He
attempts to further justify the erroneous notion of hell believed by
most Christians. And he intentionally does it by use of twisted
Scripture and human reason.

“Consider this simple line of reasoning. Either hell is a
created place or it is not. If it is not created, then it must by
definition be God, who alone is uncreated. In this sense, hell would be
God, who is a consuming fire. You destiny would not be apart from God
but directly into God, who is Love, Light, Goodness.”

(Young’s “simple line of reasoning” – no doubt intensely appealing to
the subjective, post-modern mindset of humanly conceived “fairness”
brings immediately to mind the words of God through the apostle Paul,
“For who has known the mind of God … “ 1 Corinthians 2:6 or, perhaps, from 1 Corinthians 3:19 … “the wisdom of the world is folly to God.”)

“The other alternative is that hell is a created place or
thing. Consider this passage: “For I am convinced that neither death,
nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39)” (Emphasis original)

“This is a list,” says Young, “of all the realities that cannot
separate you from the love of God. What isn’t in the list, keeping in
mind that it includes ‘any created thing’ or any ‘thing to come?” Young
makes sure you get the answer, his answer, “Nothing. There is nothing
absent from the list.”

Far from an outright denial of the reality of hell, Young’s theology
attempts to reconcile hell with a loving God. His attempt is nothing
short of a sort of Roman Catholic purgatory in which post-death
redemption, and the experience of God’s love, may yet be realized.
Indeed, for the universalistic Young, hell can only be a post-death
mechanism that results in heaven for all.

“So, if we continue this thought … perhaps hell is not
hell because of the absence of God, but because of the presence of God,
the continuous presence of fiery Love and Goodness and Freedom that
intends to destroy every vestige of evil and darkness that prevents us
from being fully free and fully alive. This is a fire of Love that now
and forever is ‘for’ us, not against us. Only if we posit that we have
existence apart from Jesus can we believe that hell is a form of
punishment that comes to us in our separation from Jesus. I propose the
possibility that hell is not separation from Jesus but that it is the
pain of resisting our salvation in Jesus while not being able to escape
Him who is True Love.”

“You are of your father, the devil … the father of lies.”  (John 8:44)

Young’s theology of “Lies” undergirds his fictional work The Shack.
But his theology is aberrant, mishandles Scripture, denies fundamental
doctrines of the Christian faith, and serves merely to regurgitate the
false understandings of the world about God, slathering his presentation
of them sufficiently with Bible verses and church words that makes
those understandings seem Christian.  Yet Young denies the gospel,
denies the sinfulness of man, diminishes the sovereignty of God,
promotes an “all roads lead to heaven” universalism, and warps the
doctrine of eternal punishment so that it becomes a second, certain
chance.

There is nothing remotely, authentically Christian about Young’s Lies or about Young’s Shack, an abode that John the Baptist would certainly point to as being the nest of a “brood of vipers.”  (Matthew 3:7)
Indeed, with the Baptist, we should certainly turn to Young and to
those who laud his work as “Christian,” and say, pointing to the
authentic Jesus of the authentic Biblical Gospel, “Behold, the Lamb of
God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)  “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  (Matthew 3:2)

As of the moment of this writing, Lies We Believe About God
is noted as a “best seller” on Amazon, ranking at the #1 Spot in the
“Christian Meditation Worship & Devotion” category.  As for The Shack, four versions of this heretical novel show up in the top 50 best-selling evangelical books, with two being in the top ten.  (Source)  The theology of Lies which undergird The Shack,
though, must be recognized for the abject heresy that it is.  That
these two tomes show up on “Christian” or “evangelical” bestseller list
is a testimony to the failure of churches, pastors, and teachers to
“Preach the word” (2 Timothy 4:2) and to “teach what accords with sound doctrine.” (Titus 2:1).
It’s also a sad testimony of those who might claim for themselves the
moniker “Christian” but are not doing the fundamental thing which
distinguishes a disciple of Jesus: “abide in my Word.”  (John 8:31)

Though these books arrive on a Christian bestseller list, the astute,
authentic, Bible-abiding disciple of Jesus will quickly recognize that
they are “best” because they are “selling,” not because they are “best”
for your faith, edifying to your soul, or helpful to the cause of
Christ.  The “Christianized” notions proffered in Young’s works are
distinctly UNCHRISTIAN.  His theological “lies” have the same source as
all lies, and Jesus identified that source with divine, authoritative
clarity:

“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do
your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does
not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies,
he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of
lies.” John 8:44

Check the batteries in your heresy detectors!
Sound the Berean warning bells!
Let the discernment warning tocsins be sounded!
Signal all to take Caution! Caution! Caution!

There’s a new Rob Bell book soon to be released.

I thought I’d warn you that, soon enough, your social media threads
may be fuller than a tick on a hound dog’s buttocks with Rob Bell-isms
and, hopefully, with the rightful, scornful rebukes his theology, so
far, demands.

Bell’s upcoming tome?   It’s called What Is The Bible?
While it might seem cause for thanksgiving that Bell may have finally
discovered the source of divine Truth in the written Word of God, such
an epiphany on his part doesn’t seem all too likely. The book has a
rather long subtitle that with a tone that tends, rather, to confirm
that Bell’s traits of emergent, man-centered unorthodoxy haven’t
necessarily been forsaken.

The subtitle is “How an Ancient Library of Poems, Letters, and
Stories Can Transform the Way You Think and Feel About Everything.”
It’s a mouthful, to be sure, but because it’s bellowed by Bell, it
tends to stimulate discerning theological taste buds with a face
grimacing aftertaste of heretical, over-chewed, toxically-emergent cud
that needs desperately to be spit out.

Bell’s Bible book is, according to Amazon, set for release on May 16, 2017. Amazon also notes it as the “#1 New Release in Christian Bible Study.” Hmmm.

Published by HarperCollins, a promotional book tour will commence on
May 17. Notably, the tour locations are bookstores, not churches. Can we
take this as a sign that the general book-reading public is becoming
more Bible and faith-friendly? Or, can this be interpreted to mean that,
though it’s a book about the Bible, it’s not one that would be welcomed
in most churches?  Or, can we take the book tour locations purely at
face value, a marketing
attempt to engage the author with the public in order to generate
promotional buzz that might translate into deposit-able funds?

Interestingly, the intrinsically irrelevant, but highly relational Relevant Magazine is poised to release a feature story on the Bell book in its May 1 issue. At least one teaser article
has already been published there, with the shocking, at least to any
abide-in-my-word disciple familiar with the apostate’s works,  claim:
“Bell is an expert in the Scriptures …”  This doesn’t necessarily bode
well for any hopes that Bell’s heterodoxy has suddenly become orthodoxy.

But it’s the book’s description on the HarperCollins website that gives an abbreviated microscopic prelude to the coming full-paged musings of Bell.

Rob Bell, the beloved author of Love Wins and What We Talk About When We Talk About God, goes
deep into the Bible to show how it is more revelatory, revolutionary,
and relevant than we ever imagined—and offers a cogent argument for why
we need to look at it in a fresh, new way.

The use of the adjective “beloved,” to me, necessitates that the
proper noun to which it is attached be a well-respected, fully-vetted,
doctrinally-sound, Scripture-fixated orthodox church figure. Somebody
like Spurgeon. Somebody like Jonathon Edwards. Somebody like a Puritan.
But, mainly, somebody dead, whose works have been duly, ably digested
under the lens of orthodoxy and found to be soundly reliable.  And, by
virtue of their temporal absence, the “beloved” individual is thus free
from creating for the church any potential doctrinal angst by saying,
preaching, publishing, or muttering Scripturally inane things if they
were still alive. So for Bell to be “beloved” seems to me an untenable
stretch. But, hey, it’s the publisher’s website. They have a vested
interest.

In Love Wins, Rob Bell confronted the troubling
questions that many people of faith were afraid to ask about heaven,
hell, fate, and faith. Using the same inspired, inquisitive approach, he
now turns to our most sacred book, the Bible. What Is the Bible? provides
insights and answers that make clear why the Bible is so revered and
what makes it truly inspiring and essential to our lives.

Well, if Love Wins
is any indication of the caliber of Bell’s latest book, brace yourself
for more bloviating Bell buffoonery that may sound a lot like
Christianity, but is actually a flashing neon billboard broadcasting
“this way to heaven” on a really, really wide path. In Love Wins,
Bell bellows out the heresy of universalism and quenches concerns about
the flames of hell, touting it as a temporal mindset rather than as the
physical reality that Jesus surely posited.  (Tim Challies gives an
astute review of Love Wins HERE.)

Rob Bell

But, just make a note, the willingness of someone to ask questions,
using an “inspired, inquisitive approach,” does not relinquish that
questioner of charges of heresy with a “Hey, I’m only asking the
questions, don’t accuse me” retort. Bell is no reliably beloved icon
soundly explaining difficult Biblical truths to honest questions. Bell
asks questions in order to drive his hearer to a pre-determined
position. And, most often with Bell, that position has been known in the
annals of orthodox Christian history as HERESY.

“Avoid foolish questions.” (KJV, Titus 3:9)

Now, not trying to pre-review a yet-to-be-released tome, we’ll not label What Is The Bible?
as a work of Word-defying heresy, but we can certainly label it, at
least, as the work of the former emergent church pastor most recently
known as a heretic.

Rob takes us deep into actual passages to reveal the
humanity behind the Scriptures. You cannot get to the holy without going
through the human, Rob tells us. When considering a passage, we
shouldn’t ask “Why did God say . . .?” To get to the heart of the
Bible’s meaning, we should be asking: “What’s the story that’s unfolding
here and why did people find it important to tell it? What was it that
moved them to record these words? What was happening in the world at
that time? What does this passage/story/poem/verse/book tell us about
how people understood who they were and who God was at that time?” In
asking these questions, Rob goes beyond the one-dimensional question of
“is it true?” to reveal the Bible’s authentic transformative power.

Hold the presses. “Rob takes us deep into actual passages?” I’m now laughing out loud.
That “Rob” is actually going into “actual passages” absurdly serves as
an ironic admission that he hasn’t been doing that all along, his
resultant heresies no doubt the logical outflow of such Scriptural
disregard.   But “actual passages?” What an altogether astounding
comment.  It’s really telling … in a head-shaking-while-I-guffaw sort of way.

Oh, and the line, “You can’t get to the holy without going through the human
may sound so inexhaustibly profound, so utterly theological – yet
somehow just within my (or, maybe your) mental grasp – that one might be
tempted to spend hours with those words dripping mantra-like on their
spiritual lips, navel-pondering the deeper truths such a statement must
necessarily imply. But, do yourself the same favor I’m doing myself –
save yourself the neural calories.   There’s nothing deep, profound, or,
even particularly theological here.

“For who is so devoid of intellect as not to understand
that God, in so speaking, lisps with us as nurses are wont to do with
little children? Such modes of expression, therefore, do not so much
express what kind of a being God is, as accommodate the knowledge of him
to our feebleness. In doing so, he must, of course, stoop far below his
proper height.”  John Calvin

Bell’s human-to-holy profundity is just culturally hipster
emergent-speak that really commands only two points in response. First,
because God is God and man is man, God speaks to us in a manner we can
understand. Thus, for humans to cogitate on the holy, it must be
presented to us in human terms, precisely what the Lord has done in His
Word. It reveals His holiness (and much, much more) in an
anthropomorphically-friendly manner.  Other than the phrase being an
attempt to sound intentionally “buy this book” profound and deeply “your
soul needs this” theological, it’s a rather simple notion. God talks so
we can understand.  But wordsmithing the simple to sound profound sells
books, I reckon.

“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come
proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom.”
The Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 2:1

The second response to this overly complicated attempt at theological
profundity is that it seems to emphasize the “human,” not the “holy.”
Given the context in which the phrase is placed, it appears that this
“man-first” priority will be the method of Biblical interpretation which
Bell will present in the book. This method of “Bell-eneutics,”
however, is neither useful nor novel. Man has been interpreting
Scripture with a “what’s this verse mean to me” lens since the olden
days of scroll and quill. It’s still a commonplace hermeneutic employed
in thousands of Sunday School rooms around the world each Lord’s Day. (I know this for a fact from some Southern Baptist ones I’ve been in; no doubt you know it as well.) But
the man first form of interpretation is spiritually useless to the
faith. In fact, it’s spiritually dangerous to the faith, because, in
fact, it leads to heresy.

“If the Scripture has more than one meaning, it has no meaning at all.”  John Owen

Scripture has one meaning … the meaning the Holy Spirit Who inspired
it intended it to have. The meaning does not change with the times, a
suggestion implied by Bell’s hermeneutical query, “and who was God at
that time?”   The meaning in the 1st century was immutably
the same during the industrial revolution as it was during the
technological revolution. The meaning was the same in the modern era as
it was in the pre-modern era. It remains the same meaning today, too, in
the post-modern era.

The “one-dimensional question” of “is it true” which, according to
his publisher, “Rob goes beyond” is, more than likely, answered by him
in a way that disregards such things as infallibility, inerrancy,
authority, sufficiency, and clarity of the Word.  (How, in fact, can
an authentic believer even “get beyond” the reality that it is, indeed,
True, and why would you then want to even if you could?)
In fact,
Bell almost has to go beyond these things to support the implied notion
of his subtitle, that there is a way to look at this “ancient library”
that is helpful irrespective of its inherent, divine veracity. His book
is intended to help you take the Bible and let it “transform the way you
think and feel about everything.”

Somebody ring the barista just-got-a-tip bell because Bell must be
suggesting that those “poems, letters, and stories” have inherent “feel
good, think good” transformative value, apart from the correct response
to the “is it true” query. Almost a sort of “who cares if it’s true, so
long as it makes me think happy God-thoughts and makes me feel warm,
fuzzy, and/or theologically profound?”  And that’s exactly what the
publisher has implied about the book about the Book; it doesn’t matter
if it’s true.

In asking these questions, Rob goes beyond the
one-dimensional question of “is it true?” to reveal the Bible’s
authentic transformative power.

So the Bible has “authentic transformative power,” but not because it’s true?  Lemme ask you something.  You smell anything?
Cuz I’m smelling yet another “whatever feels good” subjectivistic
defamation against the Word of God.  Maybe it’s just me.  But it smells
all too post-modernly familiar with a Gospel-void hint of aromatic
“me-ism” wafting about.   Gee, I wonder if Andy “Get The Spotlight Off The Bible” Stanley penned the foreword.

But, apart from soundly handling that “one-dimensional question,”
Bell’s book may just end up being another
God-exists-for-the-benefit-of-man tome that, at a minimum, seeks one
particular end … authorial cash flow.

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.”  John 16:13

“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”  John 17:17

Unless it expressly points to the inspired Word as the singular
divine source of Truth that fundamentally features the life, death,
resurrection, ascension and imminent return of Jesus Christ, then Bell’s
book will be worth the same as his previous emergent fire-starter
offerings.

But – and here’s the really, really staggering Truth – for the
authentic believer, regenerated by the grace of God through the work of
the Holy Spirit and the power of that Gospel, the Bible is easily
comprehensible, eternally transformative, and authentically sanctifying.
The pagan won’t become holy by reading it but the born-again,
indwelt-by-the-Holy-Spirit disciple most certainly will.  Before
holiness, pagans first need the same transformation that Christ told
Nicodemus some two millennia ago, “You must be born again.”  (John 3:7)

Anyway, this has been a friendly, preemptive discernment warning. Rev
up your Berean skills, both to protect yourself and to intervene on
behalf of others. Hone up on your Bell polemics. It’s quite possible
you’re gonna need them.

THE FRUIT OF A COMPROMISED CHURCH

…Has it come to this, that monkery
is to be revived in a professedly Protestant Church?…For the love you
bear to your Redeemer, be duped no longer, and by your own hatred of
monkery
and priestcraft, come ye out from among them, be ye separate, and touch not the unclean thing

–Charles Spurgeon

Evangelical Christians have recently had an eye-opening experience. Even before the book The Benedict Option: A Strategy for Christians in a Post-Christian Nation had
hit the stands, it was already causing a stir. According to David
Brooks of the New York Times, it is “the most discussed and most
important religious book of the decade.”(source) A cover story in Christianity Today described it as a vision for a Christian village on “how to conserve and strengthen the American church.” (source)
And then others quickly joined the cause, which included;
Albert Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (source), Matt Chandler, President of the Acts 29 Network and pastor of The Village Church (source)Russell Moore, President of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention (source)Carl R.Trueman, Westminster [PA] Theological Seminary, and John Piper, founder and teacher of desiringGod.org (source), and chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary.
For some, they were left scratching their heads trying to figure out
why the ideas of a sixth-century monk, who spent three years in a dark
cave, would be presented to evangelicals as an example to follow.
(Particularly, when the author of the book, Rod Dreher, makes the
statement “…the West owes an incalculable debt to Benedictine monks.”)

On the other hand, for those who have been warning the Church about
the carelessness of evangelical leaders, this was just one more example
exposing the Downgrade in our midst. Hence, the extent of the problem is
now on full display as we witness high profile leaders throwing their
support behind a book predicated on the false notion that for
Christianity to survive a collapsing culture, evangelicals should band
together and follow the example of Saint Benedict of Norcia, a man
canonized a saint by the Roman Catholic church in the year 1220 and
named patron protector of Europe by Pope Paul VI in 1964. What does this
say about our current condition?
Remarkably, even before the book was available in bookstores, on
February 13, 2017, Al Mohler devoted a whole radio program to the book.
It was obvious from the interview Mohler followed Dreher’s work closely
and even told his listeners, “…the book is very important and I want to
commend it to every thinking Christian, we ought to read this book and
we ought also to read far beyond the title.”
 (source)
During the interview, Dreher described his life as,

…shaped around liturgy that’s been in the church for 1500
years. My life is shaped around chanting the Psalms and on all kinds of
sensual ways that embody the faith. But for me as an Orthodox Christian
and me as a Catholic, the faith had more traction and it drew me in
closer and closer. I don’t know if evangelicals can do that…

In response, Mohler concurred with his guest, “I do not believe
evangelicalism has sufficient resources to survive either this epoch or
much beyond.” But, it was apparent Mohler felt his guest did understand
the “resources” needed for evangelicals to survive a secular assault on
our faith and our families.

To the contrary, it doesn’t require a PhD in theology to discern the
“resources” found in the model and example of Saint Benedict will serve
to increase numbers in the Catholic church, not strengthen evangelicals.
And for sure, this is not the biblical response on how the Church will
survive amid a collapsing culture? Instead, it will serve to undermine
it.
Nevertheless, Rod Dreher told Mohler’s audience that it is

time for Christians to take seriously the times we’re in,
to read the signs of the times and to respond in a responsible way… And
I use Saint Benedict of Norcia, the sixth-century saint, …He went out
to the woods to pray; he lived in a cave for three years and asked God
to show him what to do with his life. He ended up coming out and
founding a monastic order… They tendered within those monasteries the
Scriptures, the prayers, the liturgies, and the old ways of doing
things.

With more airtime given to him, Dreher illustrated further his passion for the way of Saint Benedict. He said,

One of the stories I tell in the book is about
going to the Benedictine monastery in Norcia, a small town in the
mountains of central Italy, that was where they say Benedict was born
…. Napoleon closed it down in 1810, but in the year 2000 some American monks went there and reopened it. And they wanted to sing the traditional Latin mass, and it’s become a real oasis of Christian peace and beauty.
Well, it’s the sort of place where you go there up in the mountains,
and you really envy these men, their peace, where they can worship and
meet visitors.

(See video clip of the monks of Norcia: source)
In other publications Rod Dreher has stated, the “1,500-year-old Benedictine way of life is a model for us.” He has also said, “Benedictine spirituality is a practical spirituality, a way of Christian living that consecrates the routines of the every day.” (source)
What is “Benedictine Spirituality”?
Per a 2014 article written in The American Conservative by Rod Dreher, titled, “Meditation & The Jesus Prayer,”
Dreher described and acknowledged his prayer life had included praying
the rosary as a Catholic, but now says he uses a “rosary-like prayer
rope to pray the Jesus Prayer.” (The “Jesus Prayer” is also mentioned in
The Benedict Option.) (source)

Dreher states the repetitious line of “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God,
have mercy upon me, a sinner” said repeatedly is indeed “contemplative
and meditative.” He also defends it saying, “it is well grounded within
ancient, unbroken Christian practice going back to the Desert Fathers of the early church.” (source)
In the same article, a link was provided to “a short primer,” to
obtain more information on “the practice of the Jesus Prayer.” Oddly, he
also cautions readers regarding the practice due to the similarities in breathing techniques used in “yoga or transcendental meditation and the like.” Therein lies one of the greatest dangers and deceptions of this practice. (source)
This primer also provided the following information; “The history of
the Jesus Prayer goes back, as far as we know, to the early sixth
century, with Diadochos, who taught that repetition of the prayer leads
to inner stillness.” The primer also acknowledges the influence of John
Cassian, who was celebrated for his mystical writings. It is said
Cassian, in turn, influenced the teachings of Saint Benedict. (source)
Further information in the short primer includes instruction on how
to breathe correctly while repeating the Jesus Prayer: “If we pray the
Jesus Prayer for short periods, ten or fifteen minutes at the beginning,
then there is no problem matching the words of the prayer to our
breath. We are to breathe naturally, without playing with the rhythm of
the breath. On the inhale, we can say, ‘Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God.’
On the exhale, we can say, ‘have mercy on me, a sinner.’ We are to
breathe and pray slowly reverently and attentively.”
The book itself builds on the prayer life of Benedictine monks by
pointing out their support of this Prayer. Per the author, Father Basil
told him, “…as you have discovered with the Jesus Prayer…You have to set
aside time for it.” The author also draws attention to other
Benedictine spiritual practices, which includes several hours “daily of
doing Lectio Divina.” (source)

It is telling that it is not only concerned Christians who have
noticed that the trajectory of the book is to highlight the historical
workings and roots of ancient Catholicism and the Orthodox religion.
When even New York Times writer David Brookes, observes, “The heroes of
Rod’s book are almost all monks,” our question should be “Why?” instead
of just blindly following.
Our own review of the book confirms what others are saying: “Dreher presents a radical vision for the future of Christian life,
and calls on American Christians to embrace an ancient way of life
modeled by St. Benedict, a sixth-century monk who built enduring and
separatist Christian communities focused on prayer, hospitality, and spiritual practice.” (source)
When Evangelicals begin opening doors to canonized saints, they also open other doors.
If The Benedict Option is given any more ground than it has
already been given, we can expect more spiritual confusion to follow.
Giving the Church a taste for Saint Benedict will inevitably introduce
other aspects of Rome.

In the words of its author, the goal is the “rediscovering” of “an
old tradition…we need to go back to the early church to see how our
ancestors did it, see what they did, see how they embodied the faith and
culture and practices.” (source)
It should be obvious, there are other disturbing issues besides the
spiritual and theological persuasions of the author, Rod Dreher.
Although Mohler acknowledges the difference that exists between their
two faith perspectives, he also says evangelicals can learn from Eastern
Orthodox and Roman Catholicism without compromising their theological
convictions.

But, once again, he is underestimating the power of error, and using
poor judgment not consistent with Scripture. More importantly, did Jesus
and the apostles encourage learning from the Pharisees?”
Furthermore, this growing willingness to excuse and accommodate
biblically unsound teaching, or provide a platform for error and
falsehood, is troubling.
Moreover, to any believer in Christ, who left
the Catholic church precisely because of its teachings, will be stunned
to know certain evangelical leaders now think the teachings of a
prominent monk are worthy of their attention.

Also, past writings of The Benedict Option author indicate a
misunderstanding of the nature of Christ’s sacrifice. A stated personal
belief on both purgatory and ghosts should give pause to those inclined
to give him access to evangelicals.
Despite Scripture saying, “And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes the judgment (Hebrews 9:27),” Dreher has stated;

…I believe…the soul survives the death of the body. As
for ghosts, I believe that in some cases, God allows the spirits of the
dead to visit the living, and in other cases those spirits are unhappily
bound to the earth in a kind of purgatorial state, from which they need
the help of the living to respond to divine grace and be free to move
on… I have seen haunted houses, including my mom and dad’s place, freed
of ghosts by Christian prayer, and that is the most important thing I
need to know. My local friend, a Catholic, told me the ghost left her
house after she told it to depart in the name of Jesus. (source), (more on purgatory)

Hence, such being the case, regardless of the author’s good
intentions, Christians should not spend their hard-earned money on this
book.
Scripture warns “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness.” ( Ephesians 5:11)
Yet, we find this great evangelical disaster picking up steam in our
midst. Regardless of anything helpful found in the book, why would
evangelical men give any support to an idea highlighting a false
religious system as an answer to survive a corrupt culture and a worldly
church?
Also, instead of adhering to the words found in Scripture regarding
our response to error, and our fellowship with those who espouse error,
it is becoming increasingly apparent men are finding their own ways of
doing things. Consequently, they ignore the warning:

Watch yourselves…If anyone comes to
you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your
house, and do not give him a greeting, for the one who gives him a
greeting participates in his evil deeds. —
2 John 8-11

To those who left Roman Catholicism behind to embrace the sufficiency
of Scripture and salvation found in Christ alone, to those who threw
away their rosaries with all its Hail Mary’s, to those who abandoned the
teachings of a church that embraces purgatory and praying to canonized
saints, to those who left Rome, there will be no turning back. They will
want no part of Saint Benedict’s strategy for Christians.

Lastly, it is incumbent on us to heed warnings from men who have
proven they understand the battles of our day. A.W. Pink is one of those
men:
“To turn away from the lifeless preachers and Publishers of the day—may involve a real cross. Your motives will be misconstrued, your words perverted, and your actions misinterpreted.
The sharp arrows of false report will be directed against you. You will
be called proud and self-righteous because you refuse to fellowship
empty professors. You will be termed censorious and bitter—if
you condemn in plain speech—the subtle delusions of Satan. You will be
dubbed narrow-minded and uncharitable because you refuse to join in
singing the praises of the “great” and “popular” men of the day. More
and more, you will be made to painfully realize—that the path which

Attacks on the Gospel’s Exclusivity
by MIKE GENDRON

The greatest attacks on the Gospel today are
the frequent attempts by evangelicals to make it more inclusive to
everyone who has ever been baptized. Many are seeking to broaden the
narrow road by embracing and promoting apostate forms of Christianity.
Some undiscerning Christians have been seduced by the pope’s aggressive
ecumenical agenda to reverse the Reformation
and unite all professing Christians under the papacy. Part of the
pope’s strategy is to look for soft targets within the evangelical
church who will promote Roman Catholicism as a valid expression of
Christianity.

Tragically, his strategy has been successful and is gaining a great deal of traction. Most recently, Al Mohler, Carl Truman, Russell Moore and Matt Chandler
have recommended a disturbingly popular book written by Rod Dreher, who
is a major promoter of Roman Catholicism, ecumenical unity, and
contemplative prayer. Dreher is a former Catholic who converted to the
Eastern Orthodox religion, not because of Rome’s false gospel, but
because of its sexual abuse scandal. His book, The Benedict Option,
calls people of faith to emulate a sixth-century Catholic monk as an
example of how to live in a collapsing culture. Almost all the heroes of
The Benedict Option
are Catholic monks who lived solitary lives in a monastery while participating in the daily sacrifice of a  Eucharistic Christ

Like most proponents of
ecumenism, Dreher promotes subjective spiritual experiences over the
objective truths of Scripture. He said he never had a problem with
praying the rosary as a Catholic, and he now encourages his readers to
practice contemplative prayer and mysticism. He said “my life is shaped
around liturgy that’s been in our church for 1500 years” and “on all
kinds of sensual ways that embody the faith.” His Eastern Orthodox
religion preaches the same works-righteousness salvation as Catholicism
and other religions. We are not to affirm or receive “anyone who goes
too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ” (2 John 9-10).

For
evangelical leaders to recommend a book that applauds the heretical
people and traditions of Roman Catholicism during the 500th anniversary
of the Reformation is lamentable. The prevailing influence of these
leaders, along with their reluctance to guard sound doctrine and reject
false gospels, have left many Christians confused. They do not know if
the Roman Catholic Church represents a huge mission field that needs to
be evangelized or if it represents a valid expression of Christianity.
They need to know that
Catholicism has long been a bitter enemy of the Gospel of Christ. The apostate religion has not only condemned those who believe the Gospel, but brutally tortured and killed
hundreds of thousands of those who refused to compromise it.
Evangelical leaders who are sanctioning ecumenical unity with Catholics
must be lovingly confronted in their error with the truth of God’s
Word.

In a troubling interview with Al Mohler,
Dreher said, “the West owes an incalculable debt to those Benedictine
monks.” Mohler does acknowledge there are differences between their two
faiths, but he said evangelicals can learn from people of the Orthodox
and Catholic faith who embrace a different gospel. The apostle Paul did
not encourage Christians to learn from the Judaizers who were distorting
the Gospel and leading them away from Christ (Gal. 1:6-9). Mohler
 says
the book encourages living together in a way that is “truly Christian”
yet he never defines what a true Christian is, or the Gospel that a true
Christian must believe. Mohler stated, “The book is very important. I
want to commend it to every thinking Christian. We ought to read

this
book, and we ought also to read far beyond the title.” Yet, there was a
glaring omission both in the book and in the interview by Mohler and
Dreher. Neither one referenced the most powerful tools Jesus Christ gave
us to fight the cultural wars – His Word and His Gospel (Hebrews 4:12; Romans 1:16).

Evangelicals who endorse a book that obfuscates the lines that once separated biblical Christianity from apostate Christianity are
minimizing the powerful effect of error. The accommodation of doctrinal
error and falsehood will always be dangerous to the life of the Church
that is called to be sanctified by the truth (John 17:17).
God’s Word warns us to “be on your guard so that you are not carried
away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own
steadfastness” (2 Pet. 3:17). The
critical issue in the church today is the purity of the Gospel. It is
the rudder that must guide us through stormy waters that have been
stirred up by every wind of doctrine (Eph. 4:14). Either we seek the approval of God by protecting the purity of the Gospel or we seek the approval of men by applauding
those who peddle another gospel. There is no “option.”

As blood-bought Christians, we must contend earnestly for the faith and challenge those
who embrace a false gospel. If we fail to fight the good fight of
faith, we leave our own convictions and beliefs open to question.
There
is so much more at stake than winning cultural wars. We are also
fighting the age-old war against truth waged by the powers of darkness.
The truth of God’s Word is our only hope in in a world spinning out of
control. We must endeavor to defend the glory and honor of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the purity of His Gospel, and the sanctity of His Church.

CATHOLIC CARDINAL DOLAN VISITS THE BRUDERHOF IN RIFTON, NEW YORK

On
August 15, 2012 Cardinal Timothy Dolan made a visit to the Woodcrest
Bruderhof in Rifton NY. In the spirit of solidarity and Christian
fellowship, the discussion touched on how to keep an open dialogue with
and heart to all humankind. Conversations included the importance of
nurturing children and young people and how the deep joy of a
faith-filled life is an invitation to others to discover Jesus. The late
Pope John Paul II spoke along these lines as well: “Even in struggle
solidarity remains open to dialogue,” and “Solidarity, of its very
nature, provokes action (including, at times, confrontation) but it does
so always on the basis of a vision of community and of calling to full
membership of that community.”

Viewers of Al Jazeera reportedly reacted to the London terror attack “with joy.”
Breaking911 shared a screenshot showing viewers to their live stream on Facebook were spamming smiling emojis and thumbs-ups.

Looking through the archived comments on their broadcast, I was able to find multiple people commenting on the sickening celebrations.

Viewers of France 24’s Arabic channel allegedly had similar reactions:

As Tommy Robinson said earlier today, “these people are waging war on us.”
